And welcome everybody to the Dan Bedani Show on Truth Radio Show dot com.
I'm your host Dan Bedardi.
And today we are going to cover the Gospel of Mark Chapter 5, a comprehensive study.
So if you missed chapters 1 through 4, it's in the playlist, guys.
So check it out.
And what we do here is we do a Bible study approach.
Number one, we pray for wisdom and understanding.
So we pray to Jesus, Yeshua Messiah, that you may forgive us of our personal sins and our trespasses and anything we've done wrong, Heavenly Father.
And we ask you, Heavenly Father, that you could install the Holy Spirit upon us to help us learn and disseminate and understand your scripture the way it's supposed to be in its context.
In your heavenly name we ask, amen.
And so, guys, what we do also is we read the scripture in the context because context is key.
We don't take one single verse.
We don't just read through the Bible.
We stop, we try to understand and interpret what the Bible has to say because, guys, the scripture, let the scripture interpret scripture.
So when you actually do that, when you're reading his context, there's no need to interpret nothing because it's clear as day.
So let's begin here, and remember, always trust the plan, the real plan, and that is the Bible, guys.
So let's begin with Matthew, I'm sorry, Mark chapter 5.
So Mark 4, where we left off, is where, you know, Jesus talked about the parable of the sower.
In other words, planting seeds upon people, teaching them the Word of God.
Some are going to respond, some are going to not.
It's going to grow within them.
The seed of God is going to grow within them, and some people are not.
It's just the way it is.
Mark 5 is continuing off there.
They came over to another side of the sea, because they got up on the boat and crossed the sea, into a country of the Garadines.
When Jesus came out of the ship, immediately they met him out of the tombs, who's a man with an unclean spirit.
Now we covered this in Matthew.
We talked a lot about this.
And these books give great deal perspective, you know, Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John, give great deal perspective of what this is.
So this man who had this unclean spirit who had his dwelling among the tombs and no man could bind him and not with chains so this gets a little greater detail too so basically this guy was possessed it wasn't him it was the you know the demons possessing him Now check this out, right?
We're going to get back to this in a second, right?
And because he had often bound with feathers and chains and the chains had been plucked or sundered by him and the feathers were broken in pieces neither could any man tame him.
So this is given great detail, this guy who was possessed, lived by the tombs and everything.
This was a powerful demon.
Now people, men, grown men tried to restrain this guy.
Couldn't happen.
They put chains on him and fetters, and he broke the fetters and snapped the chains.
So this is when you're dealing with something like a real powerful spirit that's possessing this guy.
So this is what it says still, right?
And, you know, when they came off the boat, on the other side of the sea into the country, the Galilees, and he was coming off the ship.
When Jesus came off the ship, immediately, So this guy is up by the tombs and everything else, just nobody wants to go near him, right?
He's vicious to everybody, and you know, he's untamable, right?
The second he seen Jesus, this demon, that possesses a man, the second he seen Jesus, immediately ran up to Jesus from out of the tombs.
Scared!
Now mind you, people are scared of this demon, now Jesus, seeing Jesus, right, from a little distance, he ran right up to Jesus, right?
And always, day and night and day, he was up in the mountains, in his tombs, crying and cutting himself with stones.
So let's, one more time, understand that this guy, Possessed, right?
When he seen Jesus, right?
From far off, he ran and worshipped him.
We're gonna get to that in a second here, but again, I want you to get the magnitude of this man, alright?
In it's context, this man who is Possessed, right?
It says he was out of the tombs.
He met him out of the tombs with an unclean spirit.
And it describes him, right?
Who had his dwelling among the tombs, and no man could bind him, not with chains.
And because he had been often bound with fetters and chains, and the chains had been puckered asunder by him, and the fetters broken in pieces, neither could any man tame him.
Right?
And always, night and day, he was in the mountains and in the tombs, crying and cutting himself with stones.
So you're dealing with some serious demon here.
That's what we're dealing with, right?
And then when Jesus seen him far off, right?
When he saw Jesus, I'm sorry.
When he saw Jesus from far off, right?
He ran and worshipped him.
Now mind you, he didn't run after Jesus to do harm against him.
He was scared pooped, plain and simple.
What does this mean?
cried out with a loud voice.
He ran up to Jesus and fell down and worshipped him and cried out with a loud voice saying, What have I to do with thee, Jesus, the Son of God, the Son of the Most High God?
I adore thee by God that thee torment me not.
What does this mean?
So you've got a demon begging Jesus at this point, don't torment me.
And for he said unto him, Come out of the man, the unclean Spirit.
All right.
And he asked, What is thy name?
And the answer saying, My name is Legion, for we are many.
So what does this mean here?
We covered this in Matthew.
I'm going to do it again.
This demon, you know, fell down and worshipped him, right?
And then he cried with a loud voice saying, What I have to do with you, Jesus?
Son of the Mosai.
I adjourn thee by God, that thou may me not.
What do you mean, that thou may me not?
What does this mean?
Because if you understand where the demon is, you can find this also in the book of Enoch as well.
Enoch 1, you know, the only real Enoch book.
So...
What a demon is, okay?
The Fallen Angels, right?
They had sex with the women on Earth.
They had children with them.
Yes, this is what really happened.
Genesis 6 covers this still, right?
They were called Nephilim.
The Nephilim and the men were renowned.
If they weren't giants, they were men of certain abilities.
You know, super... Like, not superpowers, but... Like, very great strength and all these abilities, right?
So, when God flooded the Earth and even after the flood, God's people wouldn't kill the Nephilim off, right?
Their spirits, instead of going to hell, or to paradise, I mean, they were doomed, they were cursed to the earth forever, until the Day of Judgment.
They were cursed to the earth until judgment.
So, you got these demons running around for thousands and thousands of years guys, still to this day.
That are here until judgment day.
That's a curse, right?
And why are they cursed like that for?
Because they still have the same lustful needs.
They still have the same thirst, the hunger, but they can't cure it.
They can't die either, but they can't cure these needs.
So that's why when they possess people, they are very cruel and nasty.
To try to fulfill those needs they have.
So, God cursed them to the earth until judgment.
Now, right here we got this demon, right?
This demon legion, right?
There's many of them possessing this one man, right?
And now, they're afraid that he's gonna throw them in hell.
That's what's going on.
Because, and again, in the end times, when the judgment comes, they go right to the lake of fire.
They don't go to hell.
They go right to the lake of fire.
Even hell is cast into the lake of fire at that point.
There's gotta be no more hell.
Hell, all the wicked, and the demons, fallen angels, and Satan himself gotta be cast into the lake of fire.
Hell is like a jail.
The lake of fire is the big house.
And it makes hell look like a walk in the park.
The lake of fire does.
So, right now they're afraid.
We got to throw us in hell?
You know what I mean?
So, and Jesus told him, come out of you.
The unclean spirit.
And he asked what he already knew his name is.
But he wanted to do this for a witness, right?
What is your name?
And he besought, which is, they said legion, I'm sorry.
But we are many.
And he besought him much that he would not send them away out of the country.
And now they were nigh unto mountains of great herd of swine and feed it, right?
So now, this is negotiation going on, right?
They came out of man.
Little negotiation going on because they don't want to be sent to hell.
Because they would be tormented themselves, right?
So they sent a herd of swine off on the mountainside.
And all the devils besought him, you know, disgust from him, saying, send us into the swine that we may enter them.
So, asking Jesus, Can we go into their swine?
So we can enter them, right?
Right.
And for what Jesus gave them leave.
And the unclean spirits went out and entered to the swine, which are pigs, whatever, right?
Hogs, whatever they are.
And the herd ran violently down into a steep place into the sea where they are about 2000 of them.
And they were choked in the sea.
So they drowned in the sea.
So what is this is spiritual warfare here, right?
So you ask yourself, all right, they were they come out of the guy, right?
So they're disembodied spirits at this point.
Why would they ask to go into the spine?
Because they don't want to go into the, like, the spirit world, if you will, it's interdimensional.
They're here, but they're interdimensional, right?
So they don't want to go back into that area.
They want to stay within I'm sorry, let me rephrase that.
They don't want to go before... It's hard to explain.
So basically, if they're here disembodied, they got these cravings and all that.
And it's a long exploration on us.
So we covered this in the book of Matthew.
Exactly why they did this, right?
So I'm just trying to paraphrase here.
So basically, they need a place to go.
So then the position that they were in, right?
They would have went to hell.
Plain and simple.
So what they had to do is they had to possess another, like, living organism.
Then to kill the living organism so that their spirit would once again go into that parallel of being here on the earth, right?
Instead of being cast into hell.
Because of where the status, the state that they were in.
I hope I'm making sense of you guys.
So Jesus ripped them out.
Said, get out of here.
Bang.
Ripped them out, right?
And they had to go into another, like, flesh, like a living organism to possess it.
Then, you know, if the living organism dies from their doing, They go back into that realm.
You know, that realm that God cursed them to be in the first place.
Which is roaming the Earth until Judgment Day.
That's what happened.
So, they went into the swine and ran violently and drowned in the ocean.
And there's 2,000 of them.
So we indicate here the legion is about 2,000.
That's what a legion is.
And again it says, for we are many.
My name is Legion, for we are many.
So this is 2,000 devils possessing this one man.
And it describes how powerful this demon was.
So they had to use the swine to kill themselves, basically, to go back into that interdimensional realm, if this makes sense to you.
And if this doesn't make sense, guys, please hit me up in the inbox.
I'm sorry, in the comments section.
Not just the live chat, but the comment section.
Hit me up there and I can explain it better to you.
So in verse 15 here, and they come to Jesus and see him that was possessed with the devil, and had legions sitting on him, clothed in his right mind, as they were afraid.
So they, referring to the people, right?
And they saw, and they told them to befall him, and he was possessed with the devil, and also concerning the swine.
And they began to pray him to depart out of their coats.
Coats there.
So the people are afraid.
They've just seen this whole thing happen, right?
Nobody... Everybody was afraid of this guy, right?
Jesus instantly...
This thing, instead of, you know, torturing people and everything else and people running from it, this thing actually was scared by Jesus, right?
And it scared the people, that, because they never seen anything like this.
They were afraid to go near this demon-possessed person, right?
Now that, what the heck was, you know, this is something more powerful.
And they were scared.
So they were like, yeah, get out of here, you know what I mean?
Like, they were afraid of Jesus.
And it will be again to pray to him.
They pray to him, they say, please get off our coast.
And when he has come into the ship, he had been possessed with the devil, prayed him, and that he might be with him.
And how about Jesus suffering him not, but said unto him, go home to thy friends and tell them how great things the Lord has done for thee and has compassion on thee.
So the guy that was with them, that was possessed, yeah, Jesus told him, say, you're free now, basically.
Go home.
Yeah, go home, you know what I mean?
And the man departed and began to publish the Decapolis, how great things Jesus had done for him, and all men did marvel.
So yeah, this is amazing stuff, it really is.
So the publisher, in other words, went out and screamed from the rooftops what Jesus had done for them.
Freed them from those 2,000 demons.
And when Jesus was passed over again by the ship onto the other side, much people gathered onto him, and he was nigh unto the sea.
So tons of people greeted him when he crossed over the sea there in the boat.
And behold, there comes one of the rulers of the synagogue, Jarius by the name, and he saw him, and he fell at his feet.
So, one of the rulers of the synagogue.
Jarius, yeah.
When he saw Jesus, he fell at his feet.
To Jesus' feet, right?
So basically, bowed down or whatever.
And, um, they saw him greatly saying, So, a ruler of the synagogue?
the point of death.
Yeah.
I pray thee that you can come and lay hands on her that she may be healed and she shall live.
So a ruler of the synagogue, yeah.
So this is where he's really reaching out people in the synagogue which kind of ticked off the scribes and the priests and all that as we learn later on.
We learned in Matthew.
He's seen all the miraculous things Jesus was doing and his daughter's just about death, to the point of death, right?
And Jesus went with him and as much people followed him enthroned him.
So a certain woman, enthroned means like, uh, try to touch him to get healed and everything else, right?
And a certain woman, right?
Now this is on the way to the guy's, uh, The Jarius's house, right?
There's not a way to Jarius's house to heal the little girl, right?
His daughter.
And on the way there, a certain woman, you know, people, you know, try, they were, you know, on the way there, they were talking to Jesus, hey, we need your help in these healing people as it's going along, right?
And a certain woman, which had an issue of blood 12 years, and had suffered many things of many physicians, and had spent all that she had, and it was nothing better, but rather grew worse.
So she had this, I guess it looks like a blood disease, whatever the case.
And yeah, she spent everything and it didn't work, right?
For these physicians to heal her.
And when Jesus, I'm sorry, when she had heard of Jesus, came in the press behind.
So people say, Jesus is coming, Jesus is coming.
So she heard this, right?
And touched his garment.
So she went up to him and touched his garment, and she said, right, if I even may touch it, but it's closed, I shall be whole.
There's so much faith that's coming out of Jesus.
If I could just touch his clothes, I'll be whole, I'll be healed.
In a straight way, the fountain of her blood was dried up, and she felt in her body that she was healed from that plague.
So the bleeding stopped, and she automatically was healed out of that plague, right?
And Jesus, immediately knowing in himself that virtue had gone out of him, Turnabout in the press and said, who touched my clothes?
So he's walking to a crowd of people and this guy just desperately needed a touch of clothes.
Now, mind you, he already knew who touched that, but he was doing this to make an example, right?
And this is an example of what's going on, right?
And his disciples said unto him, Thou seest a multitude thronging thee, and saying, Who touched me?
So the disciples were like, yeah, there's a ton of people around, we don't know who touched her, right?
And he looked around about to see her that had done this thing.
So Jesus already knew who did it.
He just asked to show an example, yeah.
Now the apostles, right, the disciples, they had no clue.
He's saying, don't you see all the multitude of people just thronging me?
And saying, who touched me?
And again, Jesus turned about and seen her that had done this thing.
But the woman, fearing and trembling, knowing what was done in her, came and fell down before him and told him all the truth.
So she was afraid.
She was afraid that she did something wrong, but she was just desperate to get healed.
And if I could just touch his robe, I could be healed, right?
Now, instead of Jesus scolding her and all that, he did no such thing, right?
And he said unto her, Daughter, thy faith has made thee whole.
Go in peace and be whole of thy plague.
Because she had, look at the faith that she had.
Now mind when Jesus came up and seen her, I said, you know, knew she touched him, right?
She thought she was in trouble.
She thought she was in big trouble, right? - Right.
Yeah, so, um, yeah, he said, your faith has made you whole.
The faith that you could just touch my robe and be healed, that's the faith of a Muslim, see, right there.
And he says, go in peace, and your plug is gone.
And while he spake there, and he was speaking, there came from the ruler of the synagogue's house certain which said, the daughter is dead.
So, this is all, you know, again, this is going their way to Jairus' house, one of the rulers in the synagogue, right?
To heal the man's daughter.
So, when they finally got to the house, A person from the house came out and said, the daughter is dead.
Why trouble thy master any further?
So in other words, she's already dead.
Jesus said, I'm not going to trouble you any further.
She's already dead.
Thank you for coming anyway.
You know what I mean?
But as soon as Jesus heard the word that was spoken, he said unto the ruler of the synagogue, Be not afraid, only believe.
Because right now they're just like deflated.
She's dead, alright.
Thank you for coming here, Jesus.
You know, she's already dead.
So, nothing you can do, right?
So, Jesus again, he said to the ruler of the synagogue, don't be afraid, only believe.
And he suffered no man to follow him.
So say, you talk about, stay over him, you know, don't follow me.
Save Peter and James and John, the brothers of James, right?
And he comes into the house of the ruler of the synagogue and seen the turmoil.
So I'm guessing that's when she was just wrapped up in the blankets, whatever.
And that's when they died in the blankets.
They just wrapped them up like a mummy almost, you know what I mean?
And them that wept and wailing greatly.
So there's her family around her crying, you know what I mean?
Crying upset that she passed away.
And when he was, uh, when he came in the house, he said unto them, why make thee this ado and weep?
The damsel is not dead, but it sleepeth.
And they laughed unto him to scorn.
It's like, what are you talking about?
She's dead.
She's been dead for whatever time.
She's dead.
And they didn't laugh at it.
You know, it was laugh to score in other words.
You know what I mean?
They wouldn't laugh and it was like, in other words, are you kidding me?
You know what I mean?
Kind of, that kind of thing, right?
But when he had put them all out and taken the father and mother of the damsel and saying that they were with him and entered in with the damsel was lying.
So they, they had everybody leave.
Okay.
And this is, I use a King James version.
So that's why he's a lot of di-do-te.
So.
What's going on here is that people cried over a dead body, right?
Jesus had them leave, right?
And he went in with the mother and father.
And he took the damsel by the hand and said unto her, Teletha, cume, which is being interpreted as damsel, I say unto thee, arise.
And straight away the damsel arose and walked, for she was of the age of twelve years old, and they were astonished with the great astonishment.
And he charged them straightly that no man should know it, and commanded that something should be given to her to eat.
In other words, don't go out and yell at publishers, you know what I mean?
But of course they did anyway.
You know what I mean?
Like this is... Yeah, ongoing story.
Every time Jesus told people just be quiet about it.
Just go.
Go home and be quiet about it, right?
They ran through the streets screaming it.
Till they did the total opposite.
But however, yeah.
A girl, a little girl that was dead.
You know, got family and friends crying over her, right?
Told everybody to leave the room.
You know, told everybody to stay outside.
And uh, he went in with the mother and father.
Grabbed the little girl by the hand.
And told her to rise.
And she rose up and walked, and she was 12 years old, and they were astonished at the great astonishment.
And they said, you know, give her something to eat.
So a very interesting chapter, a lot of spiritual warfare going on in there.
Especially with the demon legion and again, I hope I didn't boost that up there.
I I Was mixing something else with the with this at the beginning So I hope I explained it.
Well, and if I didn't guys, please hit me up in the comment section and I'll definitely Explain it better.
So we often watch my Matthew series.
I'll get you the chapter for that When we covered this, but this is a some special warfare guys.
This is our Savior right here Amazing stuff, it really is.
So I can't wait to get into chapter 6.
So thank you guys for joining us here.
And uh, awesome show.
So um, you know, we want you to trust the real plan in the Bible.
And no other plan, there's no but the Bible.
You know, no other doctrines of men or devils.
This is the only doctrine, sound doctrine we go by man.
And so don't take my word or anybody else's word for it.
We need to read it for ourselves.
Even though we just read it here, together.
I encourage you.
To read it for yourself.
And I know some people are listening on audio version.
Because we've got audio and video versions of different channels and whatever.
And platforms that share this.
So if you're on audio version, I encourage you to open the Bible for yourself.
And I should have said that in the beginning.
So anyway, don't take nobody else's word for it.
Not even mine.
Go read it for yourselves, guys.
And you'll probably pull more stuff out.
But take your time.
Go through it.
Examine this.
Now look what we just did, right?
We went through 43 verses.
If you just read it through, it would probably be done in two minutes, right?
But that's not what we do here.
I mean, we need to understand, read the scripture in context, understand the full capacity of everything he's talking about, what things mean, and it brings out a whole new sentence, whole new world, whole new understanding of the Bible.
You know, sometimes it takes us a half hour to do this, sometimes it takes us an hour.
But, you know, I don't care if it takes 10 hours for each chapter.
We need to fully understand the scripture in its context.
This way we are not fooled by false religions who cherry-pick from the Bible, use verses out of context.
We're not fooled by fools out there, you know what I mean?
We know the scripture.
The Holy Spirit gives us the knowledge to understand the scripture.
Such an amazing thing too.
