The pamphlet was republished in the 1990s and distributed in Idaho by the 11th Hour Remnant Messenger, funded by wealthy entrepreneurs Vincent Bertolini and Carl E. Storey.

He was killed in 1976, August 11th, and this came out where they quoted this piece

I want to cover some really deep Kabbalistic books.
This book right here is called Masila Yasharin, The Path of the Just.
It's a hidden Kabbalistic book.
The story goes like this.
This was written by Rabbi Moshe Chaim Lezato, the Ramchal.
Zikron Nevracha.
Blessed memory.
And he was a 17th century Italian Kabbalist.
And And this happened right after Shabtai Tzvi happened.
Shabtai Tzvi was like a terrible, terrible, terrible scourge to Judaism.
It set back Messianic Judaism from hundreds, hundred years plus.
I mean, that was like 200 years ago.
We're still fit over 200 years ago.
We're still feeling the effects of Shabtai Tzvi on the Jewish people.
So they're like one generation out of Shabtai Tzvi.
The Ram Khal was very young.
He would go into these, like, trances.
He was, like, 20 years old, mega Kabbalist, and he'd start writing in, like, perfect Zoharic Aramaic, these, like, revelations.
And it freaked out the town of Padua where he was.
They circled around his house at night, and the Jewish community said, We're afraid of your books, that the Gentiles are gonna see these books, and that they're gonna persecute us, because the Catholics were really horrible to Jews.

I mean, the Ram Hall was probably a greater Kabbalist, but the writings that the Ram Hall had were probably like so in-depth about some of the things that were written about by Rabbi Moshe Zakuto, which are really important.
I mean, really important to the fabric of Kabbalah.
And so the Ram Khal took his notes and he said to the public, he said, give me one more night with my books and in the morning you can come and you can take the books and burn them.
He gave permission to burn them.
In that entire night he stayed up and he wrote the Mesilat Yisharim and embedded in it he hid the greatest secrets of the Kabbalah.
Secrets that are known to Moshe Rabbeinu.
The greatest secrets of the Kabbalah are contained in this book.
And really, this is a book about how to have a relationship with God, which is really the depth of the Kabbalah anyway.
And that's why this book is so relevant to Kabbalah.
But really, the book is an admonishment to the townsfolk of the town of Padua.
And he interweaves through all of his notes this unbelievable thing.
So every Tuesday from now on, we are going to go into Torah.
And I think we should read this book because it's such an epic book.
We're going to go bounce around to a lot of different Torahs and Kabbalahs, give people a real overview and let them see what the Torah really is about.
So that Stu Peters doesn't have to be its representative.

Chapter one, Mesilat Yisharim, which means the path of the just.

The bedrock of piety and the root of flawless divine service lies in man's effort to clarify and verify what his duty is in his world.
He must determine what he is aiming for and how to achieve this in all his labors throughout his lifetime.
Our stages of blessed memory have instructed us that man was created for the sole purpose of revealing in the eternal and delighting in the splendor of the Divine Presence, this being the ultimate joy and greatest of all pleasures in existence, that is, to be one with God.
And the true place for this pleasure is the world to come, which was created with this purpose in mind.
However, the path that helps us reach our desired objective in this world, as our sages of blessed memory have said in Pirkei Avot 4.16, this world resembles a corridor before the world to come.
The means that led man to this goal are the mitzvot, the commandments, in the 613 commandments in the Torah, that the Eternal, may His name be a blessing, commanded us to observe.
And the place for doing the mitzvot is in this world alone.
Therefore, man was first placed in this world through these means, provided for him here, he will be able to reach the destination that has been prepared for him, the world to come, where he will fill himself with the goodness that he has acquired through these means.
As our sages of blessed memory have said about Mitzvot in Eruvim 22 Aleph in the Talmud, You do them today and receive reward for them tomorrow.
He's talking about the commandments of the Torah.
He's saying that in the world to come, that, you know, when Mashiach comes in the future world, Atid Lavo, that in the world to come, that The mitzvot, the commandments that you fulfilled in this world, will carry weight there.
And the only place to fulfill those mitzvot are in this world.
That those mitzvot are not applicable in the world to come.
If you delve further into this matter, you will realize that cleaving to the Eternal alone is absolute perfection.
As David Amelech, King David, says in Tehillim, Psalm 73, 28.
But as for me, closeness to the Eternal is my good.
And it also says in Tehillim Psalms 27 4.
One thing I have asked of the eternal that I will seek that I may dwell in the house of the eternal all the days of my life.
Amen.
I feel that brother.
This alone is what is good.
And anything else that is perceived by people to be good is only emptiness and deceptive worthlessness.
For a person to be entitled to this good, it is only appropriate that he first labor and make the effort to acquire it.
This means that he must try to cleave to the Blessed One through deeds that will lead to this desired goal.
These deeds are the mitzvot.
Yet the Holy One, blessed be He, has placed man in circumstances where many factors can distance him from the Blessed One, these being the bodily desires.
For if one is drawn towards them, he progressively distances himself from the ultimate good.
The result is that one really finds himself planted in the midst of a fierce battle.
For everything in this world, whether for good or bad, is there to test man.
Poverty on one hand, wealth on the other.
This is similar to what Shlomo HaMelech, King Solomon, said in Mishlei, Proverbs 39.
Lest I become satiated and deny him, saying, Who is the Eternal?
And lest I become impoverished and steal and misuse the name of my God?
Tranquility on one side and suffering on the other.
A person thereby finds himself at war in both fronts of him and in the rear.
In both the front of him and in the rear.
When one is wealthy, they are tempted.
They're tempted with the inflation of the ego to say that they're greater than this world, that they're greater than their fellow man because of their status of wealth.
Or that they are great and they don't necessarily need God.
One of the things it says in the Torah, when you surely get to the land, do not think that you were brought here by your own self when I raise you up.
I did this for you.
So we always have to remember that God takes care of us and lifts us up.
So when he does lift us up, it's also a temptation.
And when you're impoverished, you want to swindle or cheat or do whatever you can to get money because you need money.
It's a crazy situation.
The test works on both sides, King Solomon says.
We're not going to go too long.
We're going to go a couple more paragraphs because we're filling out this episode on the Torah and we want to make it good.
Actually, we could do this.

This is what it's about, folks.
We're going to learn Torah.

We're going to learn what the teachings of the Jewish Bible actually is.
If he is valiant and wins a total victory in this war, he will have perfected himself and will be able to cleave to his creator.
He will then leave the corridor and enter the palace, permeated with the glow of life, and And to the degree that he has conquered his evil inclination and desires, and withdrawn himself from those factors that distance himself from what is good, and has striven to cleave to Him, God, to that extent he will attain his goal and find joy within it.
If you will delve deeper into this matter, you will know that the world was created to serve man.
However, the world itself stands in the balance.
If a person is drawn towards this world and distances himself from the Creator, he will then be corrupted and will corrupt the world with him.
Yet if he can rule over himself and he cleaves to his Creator and uses this world solely to aid him in serving his Creator, he will be elevated and the world itself will be uplifted with him.
For it is a tremendous step upwards for all of creation when it serves the person who has perfected himself and has become sanctified with the sanctity of the Blessed One.
It is similar to what our sages of blessed memory have said about the light that the Holy One, blessed be He, concealed for the righteous.
And since the light saw that the Holy One, blessed be He, concealed it for the righteous, it rejoiced, as it says in Mishle 13.9.
The light of the righteous will rejoice.
And regarding the stones from the place that Yaakov Avinu, Jacob, took and placed beneath his head when he had his dream, they said in Hulan, in the Talmud 91 Bet, Rabbi Yitzhak said that this teaches us that they gathered themselves into one spot, each one saying, Let the tzaddik rest his head upon me.
It is with reference to this that our Sages of Blessed Memory have commented in Midrash Qohelet 7.3.
See the deeds of the Eternal.
When He, the Holy One, blessed be He, created Adam, He took him on a tour of all the trees of the Garden of Eden and said to him, See how beautiful and praiseworthy my deeds are, and all that I have created, I created for you.
Take heed not to corrupt nor destroy my world.
In summation, a person was not created for his position in this world, but rather for his position in the world to come.
However, through his position in this world, he acquires his place in the world to come, this being the ultimate goal.
Therefore, you will find many passages from our Sages of Blessed Memory that speak of this same comparison, of this world as the place and time for the preparation, And the world to come is the place where one rests and consumes what has already been prepared.
As they have stated, this world resembles a corridor in Pirkei Avot 4.6, the sayings of our forefathers, as I've written above.
You do them today and receive them their reward tomorrow.

He who toils on Erev Shabbos will eat on Shabbos.

This world is likened to dry land and the world to come like You are not who you think you are.

Therefore, you will surely understand that no intelligent person could believe that the purpose of man's creation relates to his position in this world.
You are not who you think you are.

So what?
That is not the purpose of this world.
You're a billionaire?
So what?
That's not the purpose of this world.
You're the President of the United States of America.
So what?
That is not the purpose of this world.
For what significance is there to man's life in this world?
And is there anyone truly happy or at peace in this world?
The days of our years among them are 70 years, and with strength 80 years.
And at their apex they are filled with toil and anguish.
Tehillim 90:10.

How many different forms of anguish and sickness and pains and burdens are there?
And after experiencing these, there are death.
One in a thousand cannot be found whom the world will abound with pleasure and true peacefulness.
And even such a one, if he lives to be a hundred, he's as good as departed and gone from this world.
Life is so short.
The test here is so extreme.
Furthermore, It can't be that your position in this world is who you are.
Furthermore, if the purpose of man's creation was linked to this world, there would have been no need to provide him with a soul so vulnerable and so exalted that it overshadowed the angels themselves.
That he has a soul so venerable and so exalted that it overshadows angels themselves.
And surely the soul does not derive any satisfaction from worldly pleasures.
This is what they, a blessed memory, have taught us in Midrash Kohalat 6-7.
And even the soul will not be satisfied.
This recalls the parable about an ordinary townsman who marries a king's daughter.
Anything that he brings her from this world is of no significance to her, since she is the daughter of the king.
And likewise, the soul, if one brings it all the delights of this world, these mean nothing to it.
Why?
Because the soul derives from above.
And so did our rabbis of blessed memory say in Pirkei Avot 4.22.
Against your will you are created and against your will you are born.
For the soul has no love for this world at all, but rather despises it.
And since this is the case, the blessed creator would surely not have created something that conflicted with its soul's nature and was repellent to it.
Therefore, the creation of man is wholly linked to his place in the world to come.
And for this purpose, he was given this soul.
He will serve the eternal for the soul's sake.
And through it, he will receive his reward at the appropriate place and time.

Instead, his soul despising this world, it will love and desire it.
This is self-evident.

We're going to finish this up, and we're going to finish chapter 1.
Once we know this, we will immediately understand the gravity of fulfilling the mitzvot commandments and the value of the divine service placed in our hands.
These are the means that will bring us to real perfection, for it cannot be attained without them.
However, it is known that a goal can be achieved only to the degree that one consolidates all the means at one's disposal.
and that were utilized for its attainment.
And in proportion to these efforts, the effects will be apparent.
Even a minor change that occurs in the means will clearly affect the outcome when the time comes for realizing the goal that has brought them, the means, together, as I have already written.
This is clear.
Therefore, there is no doubt that meticulousness in the mitzvot and the divine service must be as perfect as the precision of those who weigh gold or pearls and appreciate their value.
He's saying just like you love looking at pearls and gold and you put it on the scale, how much does it weigh?
Oh my God, it weighs X amount.

You know, it's like to an exact, exact number.
You know, because you want to calculate the value of your monetary, your physical.
He's saying so too, the soul's perfection, that you should want to calculate the soul's perfection as well.
You want to calculate it.
You want to be that steadfast in the pursuit of counting your soul's achievements, which are the commandments.
It's the attainment of higher consciousness through the mitzvot and the actions of free will, which we're going to learn about later.
And through gaining more free will, for gaining more, for doing more mitzvot, the soul becomes elevated and that is what reserves in the world to come.
That is the true purpose of this world, not the fulfillment of the bodily desires in this world.
So just as you would weigh money And the exactness of change, so too you should weigh the soul as an inherent value, and the cleanliness of your soul, and the attributes that you possess as a person, and your connection to God as a person.
For they, the mitzvot and divine service, lead to absolute perfection and to eternal splendor that has no equal.
Not even all the pearls and gold in the world has an equal to that.
To be truly one with God, to sit on the throne with Him, and be the spouse of God.
From this we learn that the main purpose of man's existence in this world is to solely do mitzvot, to serve the eternal and to overcome tribulations.
The pleasures of this world are only meant to aid and assist him and give him contentment and peace of mind, thereby allowing him to turn his heart towards that service that is his responsibility.
It is, of course, appropriate that all one's attention should be directed towards the Creator, blessed be He, and In all his actions, he should have no other purpose, lesser or greater, than to bring himself closer to the Creator.
May his name be blessed.
The Creator's name.
He should break through.
That's the name that Lucas Gage thinks is a demon.

He should break through all the barriers that separate him from his master.
This means overcoming all the material elements and whatever is dependent upon them until he is drawn after the blessed one, like iron drawn to a magnet.
That's how you should be towards God.

As it says in Tehillim, Psalm 63 9, My soul cleaves after you, your right hand supports me.
Man's only purpose for coming into this world is for this, to attain this closeness while rescuing his soul from all those things that obstruct this aim and detract from it.
Now that we know and have clarified the truth of this principle of man's duty in this world, we must examine its details in accordance with their levels, from the beginning to the end, as they were formulated by Rabbi Pinchas ben Yair in his teaching in Avodah Zarah 20-Bet, Previously cited in our introduction.
They are vigilance, alacrity, cleanliness, abstinence, purity, piety, humility, fear of sin, and holiness.
These are all the most important things in getting close to God.
