No, it was propaganda put out by the British government to hide the fact that they had discovered or that they had started using radar. So, in order to make sure that people, or no, in order to kind of sew doubt into people about whether or not radar actually existed for planes, they said that their best pilots were eating a lot of carrots, and that's why their vision was better.
