As sane people remember, on the night of July 20th, 2012, James Holmes went to a midnight Dark Knight Rises at the Century 16 Theater in Aurora, Colorado. He proceeded to set off tear gas or something similar to tear gas in the theater before opening fire, ultimately killing 12 people and injuring 70 others. After that, he exited the theater and waited for the police to come and arrest him. As he told the authorities, he'd done some calculations and realized he wouldn't survive the escape. He absolutely committed this horrific act of terrorism.
