America relies on imported oil despite being a net exporter because certain fuel blends require specific types of fuel not available domestically.
It's going to be like COVID, but instead of biological, it's going to be energy use and economics. And don't think America doesn't rely on. One imported oil, we do. Just because we're a net exporter doesn't mean that we don't require certain types of fuel to be imported. There are some fuels we need to mix certain types of fuel blends that we just don't have them here. So, yeah, we're a net exporter, but we still are part of the interconnected global economy.
