But, you know, when you started this broadcast...
Maybe there's not a roadmap.
I mean, maybe there was, but it's like, what kind of mic do I use?
And what kind of windscreen do I use?
And what kind of video editor do I use?
And how do I decide if someone's a good sponsor or not?
And how do I upload all this content?
How do I edit all the content?
And there's not really a roadmap sometimes.
And you were one of the pioneers or the pioneer in the truth movement on the podcast space.
And a lot of people are watching today's show.
You're a doctor.
You're a dentist.
You're a lawyer.
You're a dog trainer and you have a business or you have a business idea.
And the question you may be asking is, well, how do I – Become the next Trump success story.
You know, how do I become the next real estate success story?
Well, Dave, I grew up poor, like so many of your wonderful listeners did, and through the American capitalistic system, I was able to achieve success.
My first venture, which I have not owned in over 15 years, is called DJConnection.com, and I built that to be one of America's largest wedding entertainment companies.
Well, then I built the Tulsa Wedding Shows or the Tulsa Bridal Association shows.
It's like a bridal exhibit thing.
And then I teamed up and grew a dentistry, and then I helped to grow a chiropractic business.
And Dave, people kept asking me, you know, can I pick your brain?
And so 20 years ago, it's kind of hard to believe, but 20 years ago, I started doing business seminars.

How is it that the Trump brand is able to employ 4,000-plus employees and keep employees around year after year?

How do you hire and inspire, train and retain great people?
Branding.

And so, Dave, Eric and I were talking backstage, and we thought, you know what?
Let's do a series of events, if Trump gets back in office, where we're going to teach entrepreneurs specifically what they need to do to start and grow a company.
So even though the geopolitical issues that are plaguing our nation really do matter, how does the average guy listening to your show today...
How do they increase their income?
How do they grow a company?
What are those steps?

You know what I think a lot of people have trouble with when they're starting a business and maybe you can speak on this is getting started.
Okay, I have no money, but I really want to.
I think that's what holds a lot of people back.
It's the money aspect.
They don't know how to access the money.
They don't know, like, you know, should I borrow from family?
How do I get the money to start my business?
So what do you normally tell people?
Yeah, it's a great question.
I'll just say this for anybody out there.
My path to overnight success, Dave, was I worked at Applebee's, Target, and DirecTV.

At the time, it was 1998-99.
I was going to Oral Roberts University.
I was trying to build this big DJ company.
In my mind, it was going to be huge.
djconnection.com would be huge.
And I didn't have the money, just like you're asking.
And so I went to Dr. Zellner, who was my wife's boss, and I said, sir, you built the most successful optometry clinic in Oklahoma, and we're meeting here at Ruby Tuesdays.
We're at Ruby Tuesdays, this local restaurant.
And I said, how do I get the money to do it?
I need to buy speakers, lights, equipment.
Vans, microphone stands, lighting equipment.
How do I get started?
And he said, Clay, you've got to work six days a week if you want to.
And I said, what?
He said, if you want to create like the creator, you've got to work six days.
This pattern is established in both the book of Genesis and in the book of Exodus.
But you need to work six days if you want to create like the creator.
And I wrote that down, Dave.
And I got a job at Applebee's, Target, and DirecTV.
So a lot of my clients, I tell them, hey, one, make sure you're working six days a week.
I call that the six-day principle.
Two is you want to make a pro forma.
And a pro forma is a projection of future financial performance based upon known variables.
What am I saying?
Like a spreadsheet, Dave, that says if Dave invests $10,000 into your company, if Clay Clark invests $10,000 into your company, if Carl down the street invests $10,000 into your company, What is the mathematical equation with which they will generate a return of such?
So you want to make a performa, and for anybody out there who says, performa?
What's that?
We teach that kind of thing at our conferences, so don't worry about it.
And then the third option, Dave, is obviously going to your local bank and seeing if you can get a small business loan.
And for anybody out there that doesn't know, if you're wanting to get a small business loan, it's significantly easier to get a small business loan if you are dealing with a franchise.
Because most loans that are delivered by a small business loan Most loans that are delivered by a bank are typically running through what's called the SBA or the Small Business Administration.
And so if you go to a bank and you're looking to get a loan to buy a proven franchise, the SBA is more likely to stamp their approval on that and it mitigates the risk for the local bank.
So if you're out there today and you say, how do I raise money to get started?
One, I'd recommend you work six days a week.
Two, very important that you do this.
I'd recommend that you have some sort of a pro forma or a financial spreadsheet that shows how an investor can make a return.
And then third, I would recommend you look into franchising potentially, buying an existing franchise.
And Dave, because I was the 2007 Young Entrepreneur of the Year from the SBA for the state of Oklahoma, I'm very familiar with the SBA and how it works.
And for anybody who watches the headlines, the Trump administration is doing a lot of work right now to fine-tune the SBA.
But again, the Small Business Administration is more likely to get behind an SBA loan related to a franchise than a non-franchise.
So hopefully that answers your question, Dave.
Now, for those people that have their business and now that Trump now is implementing We're good to go.
Now, for those people that have their business and now that Trump now is implementing tariffs on other countries and, of course, people see the market coming down and people are nervous and people aren't spending as much and the fake news is going crazy saying everything is going to implode.
What do you say to those people that have a business right now that are nervous, which I don't think they should be.
I just think the news is making them nervous.
Well, let me put a lot of meat on the bone here.
So I encourage everybody out there.
This is not a commercial for these companies, nor have they asked me to promote them, but I'm going to do it for a second here.

So when you're asking me a question, I'm going to get into four specific examples.
So Papa Gallo's, that's the pizzeria in Satellite Beach, Florida.
What we're doing out there, Dave, is we did this over a year ago, but they bring in live music once a week at papagallos.com.
So you create a no-brainer.
So if I'm thinking about going out for pizza, and maybe the economy's tight, maybe I don't hesitate as much to go get pizza if there's a live band.
Another example, Papagallo's, the no-brainers.
They offer deeply discounted appetizers to first-time customers at papagallo's.com.
Third, they have this thing called the Monster Challenge, which is, Dave, if you can eat a pizza that's like the size of a small table, you get the meal for free.
So they come up with a no-brainer that says...
It's so exciting that it gets people to want to take action.
And then what they do is they have a database of people that have been into the restaurant before, and they call, text, and email them.
They call, text, and email those people.
And it works because, Dave, the average person doesn't wake up with a burning desire to pay you and I. So what you can do is you can activate your customer database, and that's how papagallos.com does it.
The Garage BA, they're an automotive repair shop.
They're a vehicle repair specialist.
And so what they do is they have a no-brainer.
So if it's your first time working with them or your second time working with them, they're going to give you a free ride to and from the place of your car's pickup.
So if somebody has a broken-down vehicle, right, a big cost is getting a rental car, getting the car towed.
They handle all that as kind of their no-brainer, so it activates their database.
And then they call, text, and email their database, and they say, hey, it looks like you were a customer six months ago.
And we haven't seen you for a while.

Would you like us to come look at your car and give it a tune-up?
And so that's a thing they do.
The third example, Oxifresh.com.
I've helped that brand to grow now to 500-plus franchise locations.
Dave, when they came to me, you know, I first met the founder of the company.
They had under a dozen locations.
Now they have over 500 locations.
So, Dave, we've worked with these guys for 18-plus years.
Oxifresh.com.
And then SteveCurrington.com.
The mortgage guy.
As you know, it's a tough sell to sell mortgages when the rates are high.
Maybe with the tariffs, the rates will go down.
So kind of tying in, or to quote Trump, weaving in to what you just said.
As the tariffs go up...
And the stock market goes down, the interest rates are likely to come down as well.
But for Steve, you know, during the past four and eight years that I've worked with him as a client, he can't sit around waiting for President Trump to get in office to make his lead generation go up.
So what we did with Steve is we created a three-legged marketing stool, very specific for anybody out there in the mortgage business.
But we created a list of all of the realtors in town that were doing good business.
And we call every single top realtor every single month.
And we ask them if we can help them with their mortgage needs.
We call that the Dream 100.
Step number two, we call, text, and email every former person we've ever done business with to see if we can help them.
And then the third thing we do with stevecurrington.com is we obsessively gather objective Google and video reviews from happy customers.
That way, when somebody is typing in Tulsa Mortgage, they can find Steve's company, stevecurrington.com, at the top of the list.
So if someone goes to Google, they type in Tulsa Mortgage, Steve comes up to the top of the list.
Why?
Because he has the most objective Google reviews and video reviews.
And so really, no matter what industry you're in, I hope I've demonstrated that there, Dave, no matter what industry you're in, the answer is not going to be sitting around waiting for Trump to do something.
And the Trump family is such an action-oriented family that Eric is able to just ooze years of wisdom into an audience.
And you leave this event going, you know what?
I came with specific questions, and I'm leaving with specific answers.
And I think that's what we have to do.
We've got to focus on making American business great again.
So what do you think Trump's ultimate goal is with the tariffs and everything that he's putting into place?
I mean, he talked about, you know, no income tax.
I mean, that would be great, you know, where no one pays income tax.
But what do you think his ultimate goal is?
What do you think his plan is?
Well, you know, Dave, I'm paraphrasing the quote, and it's Dale Carnegie, the best-selling author of How to Win Friends and Influence People.
One of the things he said in his book, and I'm paraphrasing this, I don't have the actual quote in front of me, but he said that if you don't know a lot about something, the worst thing you could do is speak about it and confirm the suspicions of those that think you don't know a lot about it.
So I'll say this, Dave.
I do know Peter Navarro well.
And I do know that Peter Navarro is a big fan of the action steps that President Trump is taking.
I do know that President Trump has consistently said he wants to bring manufacturing back to these United States so that we are a country that's not dependent upon China for our core competencies.
So let me put a little meat on that bone there.
The pharmaceutical industry today, I'm not saying I endorse that industry, but the vast majority of the pharmaceutical products that we buy are not made in the United States.
Are not made in the United States.
That's not a good idea.
For our military, a lot of our core components need to make military components are not made in these United States.
The vast majority of drones are not made in these United States.
Microchips, I mean, microchips are not made in these United States, but what?
Everything is controlled by microchips.
Think about the broadcast we're doing now.
The phone, the computer, the microphones, the audio processors, the mixer boards.
Everything that we are doing right now needed to make today's show possible is involving microchips, which are not made in these United States.
So it appears to me as though Trump is, President Trump, our 47th and 45th president, it appears as though he is trying to make America great again by bringing manufacturing back to these United States.
And so the process that he and Peter Navarro are discussing right now...
Is implementing tariffs that may seem painful and that are painful, but that should successfully return a lot of manufacturing back to the United States.
And Lutnick, this will be the Secretary of Commerce, Lutnick, he is doing interviews on Jesse Waters and other programs, talking more specific.
This is Howard Lutnick, the U.S. Secretary of Commerce, talking about more specifics of how they plan to bring American manufacturing back.
But with today's technology, I know it might seem depressing to somebody out there.
But with today's technology, you can actually establish or refurbish a factory and get that thing active very quickly.
A lot of people don't know this, but Elon Musk, he's built one of the world's largest computers in Memphis, Tennessee, and he claims to have done that thing in a period of months as opposed to a period of years, Dave.
So these supercomputers...
...that once took years to build are being built in months.
So I do believe it is possible to bring American manufacturing back to America in the near term and during President Trump's term.
I think that's what a lot of people are worried about.
Oh yeah, if we bring manufacturing back, we're going to have to build all these plants.
It's going to take 10 years.
It will never happen.
But I think you're right.
I think they do have a plan to do this quite quickly.

So those are jobs that are going to be created because you're going to build it, and once the plant is finished, then people are going to work in the plant.

Eric Trump, a little fun factoid for you, talking about the speed at which you can get things done.
He was born on January 6th of 1984.
Now, the groundbreaking of the Trump International Hotel in Vegas was in 2005.
So he was born in 1984, and that tower started construction in 2005.
So when Eric Trump was 21 years old, in the year...
This will be July 12th of 2005.
Trump began constructing the International Hotel in Vegas.
And that hotel was opened three years later.
Guess who oversaw the construction of that property?
Eric Trump.
What?
Think about that, Dave.
Could you imagine?
For anybody out there watching today's show, could you imagine being 21 years old and being tasked with overseeing the construction of a tower, which still exists in Las Vegas, and to get it done on time and on budget at the age of 21?
Think about that.
That's incredible.
Yeah, this is incredible.

Take bureaucracies decades to get done.
The Trump Organization is able to get it done within years.
So I do believe it is possible to bring American manufacturing back to America.
But again, it goes back to, if you're watching today's show, your listeners are some of the most informed people on the planet.
And you and I did not talk about this offline, but someone says, well...
What can I do with this information?
And Dave, you've been talking about this for 20 years, and please feel free to rebuke me or disagree with what I'm saying.

And so it appears as though President Trump is trying to take America back to a place where we have sound money, sound money in reference to the way that gold sounds when you drop it or you clang it.

And I think also sometimes we get so caught up in the geopolitical issues that we sort of drift away and stop thinking about the impact that we as individuals could make.

I'm just giving examples of two people, you and I, who when you turn the mics off and we talk offline, you're a very normal guy.
I like to think I'm a very normal guy.
I'm probably disproportionately pale.
I have five kids, which I think is kind of beyond normal for most people.
But we're normal guys.
And we're just trying to do everything that we can do to save this country.
I think what happened when you went ahead and you had your rallies across the country, it allowed people to see that they weren't alone because we were the silent majority.
And a lot of people thought, holy crap, because the news and the way they pushed the narrative out there, you felt like, am I the only person?
And actually, when I went to one of your rallies, I and my wife actually realized.
How many people were thinking the same exact way?
And it made you feel good to see so many people in the audience who are true Americans, who wanted the American way back, and they saw the country being dismantled in a way that they didn't like.
And I think that's what drew people to your rallies, and that's why I think...
People wanted you to keep going and going and going.
And they probably still want you to do it today.
I don't think they want you to stop.
Well, Dave, I'll tell you this.

But when I went to these rallies, it was actually a breath of fresh air.

And everyone was very nice.
Everyone was all for America.
And yes, it was very, very nice to see all these people.
And it was nice to meet everyone at the rallies.
I mean, they didn't know who I was because I just, you know, I met people.
I spoke to people.
They had no idea.
Unless they could tell by my voice.
But otherwise, they didn't know.

They looked back and went, no, it can't be.
And they walked away.

It was very, very nice.
And it was funny because when I brought my wife, I think it was to the Tampa one, she couldn't believe how many people were there.
And she was actually surprised.
She was like, holy crap, there's a lot of people here.
I'm like, I told you.
I know you thought we were alone and everyone thinks they're alone.
But no, there's so many people that believe the same way we do.
And this is going way, way back.
