Hello and happy Easter.
It's Howard at the Home of the Unexplained.
Some beautiful weather in the United Kingdom at the moment.
Let's hope that continues through the holiday weekend here.
And I hope that you're enjoying yours.
Just a little update on the way things are going with the Unexplained.
You may or may not know that there will be no Radio Unexplained on the 17th and the 24th of April.
The show will not be on the radio on those dates and will come back the following week when, of course, Talk Radio has become Talk TV.
So it will return as a TV show.
It'll be slightly different in ways that I've explained before.
And obviously, I'm going to have to learn to deal with a completely new medium for me and different ways of working to fit in with it.
So that's going to be my task going forward.
And your suggestions and thoughts, of course, always welcome.
There won't be, as I've said before, any music in the show.
That's not allowed. | |
And at the moment, not allowed are any recorded guests.
So everybody has to be live and in vision.
So it's going to be a whole new challenge for me.
And, you know, I hope we're going to find a new way of doing things, which is always exciting, I guess.
They say you can't teach an old dog new tricks.
Let's see if this old dog can be taught a few new tricks.
So that's that. | |
If you're listening on the 17th, I'm putting out two new podcasts tonight, the 17th, Sunday, so you won't miss your fix of The Unexplained.
They're completely new podcasts, editions 628 and 629.
So the podcasts are continuing even if the radio show is off for a couple of weeks.
You can still get your fix of The Unexplained at the website, theunexplained.tv.
That's where you'll find those shows.
The website, theunexplained.tv, or all the usual podcast portals.
You'll find them there, like Apple Podcasts and others.
You'll find those new shows there.
And thank you to Adam for publishing those.
I think that's all I've got to say, really, for now.
The show will return on television.
Now, some people have got the wrong end of the stick and they've thought that the TV show means that there will be no radio.
And that's not true. | |
Yes, it will originate as a vision show, but it'll come from the same studio as the radio show came from.
Well, in fact, I was doing, as you know, I was doing the radio show for two of the six years in my own facility, but it'll come from their studio.
It'll just be in vision.
So if you're listening on the radio, you'll hear the sound.
And if you're watching on television, then you'll see pictures for the first time.
I think that's the only difference really that we're looking at here.
But I wanted to give you this update and also check in with you at this Easter time.
Like I say, I hope you have a lovely time.
And, you know, I hope that the weather is kind to all of us, wherever you happen to be, and we move forward from here.
Okay. | |
Until next we meet. | |
My name is Howard Hughes.
This has been The Unexplained, an update on it.
And please, whatever you do, stay safe, stay calm.
And above all, please stay in touch.
And don't forget, when you do get in touch, tell me who you are, where you are, and how you use the show.
Thank you for all your lovely emails recently.
Thanks very much. | |
Take care. |
