The Trish Regan Show - 🚨 NATO PANICS! Trump YANKS 5K Troops From GERMANY — SLAPS 25% TARIFFS on EU For CHEATING Aired: 2026-05-03 Duration: 01:02:32 === Tariffs Humiliate Germany (15:15) === [00:00:02] We told you this would happen. [00:00:04] I mean, apparently the Europeans just can't take a hint. [00:00:08] Germany, all the signals were there, and yet you had to do all the things you did. [00:00:13] The president accusing Germany of cheating, cheating on its agreements, its trade agreements. [00:00:19] So he's hitting them with a 25% tariff. [00:00:21] But guys, that is not all. [00:00:23] Just breaking moments ago, the president of the United States announcing that 5,000 troops would be coming home from Germany. [00:00:32] Because you see, When you have allies, you're supposed to be able to depend on the allies. [00:00:37] When you do trade agreements, you're supposed to actually be able to enforce those trade agreements. [00:00:41] And if people just ignore the rules and think that this is, you know, kids' play, well, the parent needs to step in, clearly. [00:00:51] And that's exactly what we see Donald Trump doing at this hour. [00:00:53] Again, moments ago, we learned that 5,000 troops would be withdrawn from Germany. [00:00:58] The move comes after the German chancellor kind of took aim. [00:01:02] Friedrich. [00:01:06] Took aim at President Trump and the United States and our handling of the war. [00:01:12] And I don't think the president appreciated that very much now, did he? [00:01:16] It also comes as Germany has promised it's going to rearm itself. [00:01:20] Yeah, yeah, rearm. [00:01:21] Hasn't done this since World War II. [00:01:23] You know, because typically the military in Germany, historically anyway, haven't really been a good thing for the world. [00:01:30] But the thinking now is, you know, it's a different time. [00:01:34] And they are now on their own two feet. [00:01:35] And they're so woke they can't stand it. [00:01:37] So. [00:01:38] You know, I don't know, is there any big threat to the world, but somebody's going to take over. [00:01:41] Somebody's going to do something. [00:01:43] And they are the largest economy there. [00:01:44] So the thinking is they're going to lead Europe forward. [00:01:48] They are going to take over much of the sort of United States' role in trying to manage and protect Europe for the future. [00:01:55] They said they'll take on this responsibility. [00:01:57] They came out with a 35-page defense paper. [00:02:00] I'm telling you, the guy who's head of defense over there, the defense minister is like, woohoo, who thought that I would have this opportunity? [00:02:07] We haven't been able to do this at all. [00:02:09] Since 45. [00:02:10] So, big opportunity for Germany. [00:02:13] So, we're saying, you know what, guys, go for it. [00:02:15] Be our guest. [00:02:16] You can do it. [00:02:16] You can do it. [00:02:17] And we don't need to give you those 5,000 troops since you're going to just sit there and diss us anyway. [00:02:21] On top of it, you know what? [00:02:23] We struck a trade deal with you now, didn't we? [00:02:26] Back in July of 2025. [00:02:27] And the deal was you were going to actually manufacture a whole bunch of stuff here. [00:02:29] You were going to commit to all kinds of deals here. [00:02:33] And you haven't. [00:02:35] So, guess what? [00:02:37] Donald Trump's hitting Germany where it hurts. [00:02:44] The car manufacturers, BMW, Mercedes, Volkswagen, which owns Audi and a bunch of other companies, watch out. [00:02:54] I should point out that this all came not unprovoked. [00:02:57] It came after Friedrich Merz, who's the German chancellor, got up on stage and started taking aim at us, trying to suggest that the US was being humiliated. [00:03:12] Oh, if you want to be humiliated, I think we can actually humiliate a lot of people quite well. [00:03:18] As we're doing in real time right now, Friedrich. [00:03:21] Take a peek. [00:03:23] We'll go to the translation. [00:03:26] Okay, so he's saying basically that there's this strategic exit that the Americans are pursuing, especially since the Iranians are obviously negotiating very skillfully. [00:03:40] He thinks, oh, they're just so terrific. [00:03:42] Or perhaps they're letting the Americans travel to Islamabad only to send them back home empty handed. [00:03:49] An entire nation is. [00:03:50] Being humiliated. [00:03:51] He's suggesting that we're the ones being humiliated. [00:03:54] Again, this is the German chancellor. [00:03:57] Okay, this is not going over well, right? [00:03:59] Think about that at the White House. [00:04:01] The president is not impressed. [00:04:03] An entire nation, Germany says, is being humiliated by the Iranian leadership. [00:04:09] And then he goes on to say, especially by these so called revolutionary guards. [00:04:13] Okay, you think so? [00:04:15] I mean, the last I checked, that blockade seems to be working pretty well. [00:04:18] Big article in the Wall Street Journal today telling you what I've told you all along in that the blockade is successful and you're choking them off economically. [00:04:27] And the more that oil stockpiles there in Iran, the more it cannot get out to its destination of China. [00:04:34] Because we have the blockade in there, the more problematic this is going to be for the IRGC. [00:04:40] They're feeling the pain, and increasingly the country is feeling the pain. [00:04:45] And so, you know, Friedrich can say all he wants about us being humiliated. [00:04:49] I think we just turned the tables pretty cleverly on him. [00:04:52] 5,000 troops out, buddy. [00:04:54] And 25% tariffs getting hit, or your car companies are getting hit, I should say, with the 25% tariffs. [00:05:01] You could kind of feel it brewing. [00:05:03] Interesting that the president waited until markets were. [00:05:05] Closed, but you could feel this coming on just in yesterday's exchange with the press when he really sucked. [00:05:13] It's Germany. [00:05:14] Listen to this. [00:05:17] The amazing thing is, they use the Strait of Hormuz. [00:05:20] We don't. [00:05:20] We don't use it. [00:05:21] We don't need it. [00:05:22] We have a lot of oil. [00:05:23] We do. [00:05:24] Well, wait a minute. [00:05:25] And they use it. [00:05:26] We don't. [00:05:27] And you would have thought they would have said, We would love to help you. [00:05:31] But they didn't, which I think was averse. [00:05:33] And Germany, I mean, he's doing a terrible job. [00:05:36] He's got immigration problems. [00:05:38] He's got energy problems. [00:05:40] He's got problems of all kinds. [00:05:42] And he's got a big problem with Ukraine because they're in that mess. [00:05:47] And he criticized me for doing the whole thing with Iran. [00:05:54] But I said, Would you like to have a nuclear weapon in the hands of Iran? [00:05:57] He said, No, I don't. [00:05:59] I said, Well, then I guess I'm right. [00:06:01] He didn't have any answer to that. [00:06:04] No. [00:06:06] But we did. [00:06:07] Oh, we did. [00:06:09] 5,000 troops, gonzo. [00:06:11] You know what? [00:06:12] You think about the $2 to $5 billion we spend in Italy every year. [00:06:16] We spend multiples of that in Germany. [00:06:20] And we're not going to anymore. [00:06:21] No, no, no. [00:06:22] Germany, we're going to take you up on your word. [00:06:25] You said that you think you can protect all of Europe. [00:06:27] So we say, go for it. [00:06:28] We're rolling out the red carpet. [00:06:30] We're getting out of your way. [00:06:31] We're taking our troops and going home so you can handle it. [00:06:35] And then. [00:06:38] We're kind of dinging you on the economic front. [00:06:41] And I say that because, you know, these car companies are kind of important, very, very important. [00:06:46] And don't forget, the agreement was hey, you know what? [00:06:50] BMW, Mercedes, Mercedes actually has a couple of factories, believe it or not, in the US down south. [00:06:57] So they've actually already started this process. [00:06:59] But here's the deal you're going to have to make those cars in the US. [00:07:02] I mean, you can design them over there in Germany, but you're going to make them here in the US. [00:07:07] And you're going to invest in companies. [00:07:08] in the U.S., factories, I should say, and you're going to invest in workers here in the U.S. [00:07:13] And if you don't do it, well, then we're going to put more tariffs on you. [00:07:17] If you do do it and you make it here, simple enough, you know what, we're not going to tariff you. [00:07:21] Well, they're not doing it. [00:07:22] And he thought it would move quicker and it hasn't been happening. [00:07:25] So the 15% tariff just got thrown right up to 25%. [00:07:32] And this is a big deal in Germany because you know what? [00:07:34] That economy is dependent on those car makers. [00:07:36] Like it's like 6% of GDP, which is a very big chunk. [00:07:40] I mean, when you think Germany, what do you think? [00:07:42] Luxury cars, BMW, Audi, Mercedes, and they're all now going to feel this pretty badly. [00:07:51] So he gets it. [00:07:53] You understand. [00:07:54] So, Friedrich, you know, you can go on and on. [00:07:57] Gosh, that's a tough language, isn't it? [00:08:03] It's a really tough language. [00:08:04] But Friedrich can go on and say, oh, you know, the Americans are so dumb, the Iranians are so smart, negotiating so skillfully, and they've just humiliated the U.S. [00:08:14] Oh, Friedrich, you're welcome to say that. [00:08:18] I don't know where it's going to get you. [00:08:20] I mean, you might just be as dumb as Angela Merkel, who decided to do a deal with Putin and depend on Putin and Russia for all her liquefied natural gas. [00:08:27] And then what happens when Ukraine rolls around? [00:08:32] The president didn't want them to depend, told Germany, Angela was out by them, but told Germany, do not depend on Russia for your natural gas, for all your energy, for goodness sakes. [00:08:44] And Germany's like, you know, why not? [00:08:48] And then Ukraine happens, and they're all in a tizzy over Ukraine. [00:08:53] And then they realize, oh, gee, maybe we should not, maybe we should not have depended on Vladimir Putin and Russia for all of our energy. [00:09:04] And then they come running to us again, right? [00:09:06] Running to us, running to us. [00:09:07] They want us to help with Ukraine. [00:09:10] And we told them, hey, don't get in that deep. [00:09:12] Don't get in that deep with Putin. [00:09:14] And we are always seemingly there because we're nice, okay? [00:09:19] I can't say the same for them. [00:09:22] Here they are, insulting us, refusing to pay their portion of their NATO dues, calling us out when we have our little excursion. [00:09:34] That's, by the way, saving their tails over there in Iran. [00:09:37] I know the president's right. [00:09:38] Who do you think that nuclear weapon would hit first? [00:09:40] It wouldn't be us. [00:09:41] No, no, no. [00:09:42] It would be Europe. [00:09:44] So you add all this stuff up together and you realize that we actually have the upper hand and they kind of should try to at least pretend to be a little bit nicer to us. [00:09:56] I mean, have a little more sophistication, guys, because you just got hit with what we call punishment. [00:10:05] All right? [00:10:06] The kids are, you know, they're. [00:10:09] They're not, they're blowing past the curfew. [00:10:13] They're wasting their allowance. [00:10:16] And so the parents say, hey, hey, hey, you're not in line and we're going to have to punish you. [00:10:26] You're grounded. [00:10:28] We're cutting back on that allowance and we're going to make it harder for you to go out and party at night. [00:10:36] Okay? [00:10:37] 25% tariffs on the automakers, the key industry. [00:10:43] For all of Germany, 6% of their entire economy comes from those automakers. [00:10:51] And then 5,000 troops is a lot. [00:10:53] And it sends a message, guys. [00:10:55] It really sends a message. [00:10:57] Germany, I don't know what to tell you other than you did it to yourselves. [00:11:03] You keep doing it to yourselves over and over and over again. [00:11:05] History repeats itself in different forms, in different ways. [00:11:08] I mean, whether it's Angela Merkel and her stupidity or this guy, Friedrich, and his stupidity. [00:11:15] Dumb comments. [00:11:16] I mean, really dumb comments. [00:11:18] Don't bite the hand that feeds you, as they say. [00:11:20] Here's CNBC delivering the news on the tariffs earlier today. [00:11:23] Watch. [00:11:25] Carl, President Trump says he's going to raise tariffs on European cars and trucks in a social media post just a couple of moments ago. [00:11:32] Here's what the president says. [00:11:34] He says, I'm pleased to announce that, based on the fact that the European Union is not complying with our fully agreed to trade deal, next week I will be increasing tariffs charged to the European Union for cars and trucks coming into the United States. [00:11:47] The tariff will be increased to 25%. [00:11:50] It is fully understood and agreed that if they produce cars and trucks in the USA plants, there will be no tariffs. [00:11:57] So the president here suggesting that he's going to raise those tariffs. [00:12:00] Not clear, Carl, what authority the president is using here. [00:12:04] Remember, the Supreme Court struck down his authority to do unilateral tariffs that he had claimed last year. [00:12:11] Now he'll have to use some other authorities if he wants to move tariffs up and down like this, you know, a 301 investigation or other authorities that are possible to use. [00:12:21] We'll ask the White House. [00:12:22] Exactly how he's structuring this, but he says as of next week, those tariffs are going to go up on European cars and trucks. [00:12:28] Yeah, I mean, I see who's also getting hit in that, it would be Ferrari, because it is not just Germany that Donald Trump is quite furious with right now, it also is Italy and it also is Spain. [00:12:42] He's telegraphed this repeatedly as recently as this morning as he was getting ready to go down to the villages in Florida. [00:12:51] He was out on the White House lawn speaking to some. [00:12:53] Reporters, and this was a very interesting clip that the White House shared on social media. [00:12:58] They have sort of a behind the scenes look, and he's taken aim at Italy and at Spain. [00:13:05] Again, this is hours before he's ready to pull troops from Germany. [00:13:08] So 5,000 troops confirmed gone from Germany. [00:13:11] My source is telling me you could see another 5,000 being pulled from Spain and 13,000 troops being pulled from Italy. [00:13:20] He certainly was trying to send a message here. [00:13:23] Watch. [00:13:25] Well, I'm not happy with Italy and I'm not happy with Spain. [00:13:29] And they've done, they don't, they feel it's okay for Iran to have a nuclear weapon. [00:13:34] Anybody that feels it's okay for Iran to have a nuclear weapon is not very smart. [00:13:40] And it'll be a terrible thing in the future. [00:13:44] If they were ever allowed to have a nuclear weapon, you would have problems the likes of which the world has never seen before. [00:13:52] And it's not going to happen. [00:13:54] And aside from that, right now they have no navy, it's been wiped out, no air force. [00:14:01] It's been wiped out. [00:14:02] They have no anything. [00:14:04] They have no anti aircraft. [00:14:06] They have no radar. [00:14:08] They have no leaders because, frankly, their leaders are very disjointed. [00:14:13] They have a lot of problems right now. [00:14:16] They're not getting along with each other. [00:14:21] Their leaders aren't really getting along with each other. [00:14:23] That's actually an interesting point to make. [00:14:26] Was he making it about the EU or was he making that about Iran? [00:14:29] Because I think it's kind of. [00:14:31] A similar story right across the board. [00:14:33] Certainly, when it comes to Italy, Georgia Maloney has found herself on the outs. [00:14:38] And so, what is she doing right now? [00:14:41] Perhaps because her popularity has been waning, perhaps because she's got Macron in her ear, perhaps because she's got the Germans breathing down her back. [00:14:49] I don't know. [00:14:50] But she's been sending a message that's very anti Trump, anti USA. [00:14:55] It's like she's joining the commies over in Spain, for goodness sakes. [00:14:58] And the president keeps saying this Spain, Italy, We might pull troops. [00:15:05] Here he is speaking with a reporter in yesterday's press conference. [00:15:08] Now, remember, this is happening about 24 hours before he makes a final decision to both tariff and, of course, take troops from Germany. === Europe No Longer Needs Us (10:29) === [00:15:18] And here you have a reporter asking him, might he consider doing something with Italy and Spain? [00:15:23] Watch. [00:15:26] Italy has not been of any help to us, and Spain has been horrible. [00:15:34] You can say that again. [00:15:35] Spain has been horrible. [00:15:36] They've actually called the war illegal. [00:15:38] We got two bases there, okay? [00:15:39] So we got a little bit of power. [00:15:40] They won't even let us use those bases. [00:15:42] Same story over in Italy. [00:15:44] The Sigonella base that we wanted in Sicily, we asked if we could refuel there while en route to Israel. [00:15:50] And what did we get for an answer from Italy and Georgia Maloney? [00:15:52] But no, no, no can do. [00:15:57] So, arrivederci, right? [00:16:00] Italia, it's been nice. [00:16:01] Adios, España. [00:16:04] It's not been nice. [00:16:06] Here's the entire clip. [00:16:07] I want to show it to you in its entirety. [00:16:10] Donald Trump speaking with the reporter about whether or not he's going to take troops out of Italy and Spain. [00:16:16] You talked about possibly pulling out some troops of Germany. [00:16:21] Would you be considering the same thing for Spain and Italy? [00:16:24] I mean, they haven't been exactly on board. [00:16:26] Yeah, probably. [00:16:27] I probably will. [00:16:28] Why should I? [00:16:28] You know, look, why shouldn't I? [00:16:33] Italy has not been of any help to us. [00:16:37] And Spain has been horrible, absolutely horrible. [00:16:42] You know, it's NATO. [00:16:43] It's not even the fact that they've been, it's one thing they said nicely. [00:16:48] Or if they said, okay, we'll help, but the help's a little slow. [00:16:53] But the level, and we helped them with Ukraine. [00:16:56] You know, they made a mess out of Ukraine, a total mess. [00:17:00] And we helped them with Ukraine. [00:17:02] Ukraine has nothing to do, you know, we're an ocean apart. [00:17:06] It has to do with them. [00:17:07] It's like for them, it's their front door. [00:17:09] We helped them. [00:17:11] And Biden gave them $350 billion, which was insane. [00:17:14] It's one of the reasons the war went on. [00:17:19] When we needed them, they were not there. [00:17:22] We have to remember that. [00:17:23] And so, if we ever have a big one, because we didn't need any help with Iran, we had Iran right from the first day it was over. [00:17:31] It was over. [00:17:33] And now it's even more so. [00:17:35] We're so locked and loaded if we want to do it. [00:17:38] But we didn't need the help. [00:17:39] And to a certain extent, I asked them, I didn't need the help, but I said, Yeah, we'd love to have your help because I wanted to see if they'd do it. [00:17:47] And they, in all cases, they said, We don't want to get involved. [00:17:51] And you know, the amazing thing is they use the Strait of Hormuz. [00:17:54] We don't. [00:17:55] We don't use it. [00:17:56] We don't need it. [00:17:57] We have a lot of oil. [00:17:58] We do. [00:17:59] Well, wait a minute. [00:18:00] And they use it. [00:18:01] We don't. [00:18:02] And you would have thought they would have said, we would love to help you. [00:18:06] But they didn't. [00:18:08] They didn't. [00:18:09] Alphonse, good to see you back here on the show. [00:18:12] Alphonse making the point that, you know, Italy has a major naval base that we need, but we could also be looking at possibilities. [00:18:19] For example, In Greece, as well as Israel, Morocco. [00:18:23] Look, I think we're looking at all possibilities, but the naval base that Alphonse is referring to here is called Sigonella. [00:18:31] We've got a whole bunch of bases, I should point out, but Sigonella is a big, big deal because it's a great refueling opportunity. [00:18:38] We actually have a lot invested in Sigonella, and we've spent a lot of money building that up. [00:18:44] We've spent a lot of money building a lot of these bases up. [00:18:47] Take a look, I've got a list of six, five of the most prominent. [00:18:50] We have many more. [00:18:51] I mean, there's just a tremendous, actually. [00:18:55] Play for the US military in Italy. [00:18:59] And so we've really made our presence quite known there. [00:19:02] And you look at all of those bases, and they all hold special significance. [00:19:07] And so we might have to start to pivot. [00:19:09] And one of the suggestions Alphonse was making, I actually saw this in chat yesterday from someone else, was the possibility of Greece. [00:19:16] And I would say, you know what? [00:19:17] You got my friend Kimberly over there. [00:19:20] So I have some faith in her. [00:19:21] Kimberly Guilfoy and I used to work together at Fox and remain friends. [00:19:25] And she's now the ambassador, of course, to Greece. [00:19:27] So, Greece might be looking at this as an opportunity. [00:19:30] Morocco, I mean, I don't know as I'm full on board with trusting Morocco just yet. [00:19:36] That's something else that Alphonse has mentioned. [00:19:39] But there are other places, and I think we're going to have to get creative about where we're using these opportunities. [00:19:45] The other reality is, guys, I don't necessarily think that we are completely done with Europe. [00:19:51] I mean, we may be ready to pull these 13,000 troops from Italy and 5,000 more from Spain, just as we just pulled that announcement just coming this afternoon. [00:20:01] 5,000 troops now coming home from Germany. [00:20:04] We may be looking at this. [00:20:06] I think the reality is, when push comes to shove, you know what? [00:20:09] We are there for them. [00:20:10] But the reality also is that they're in a very different place than they were, say, in 1945, 46. [00:20:16] When you were coming off of World War II, you had militaries that had been completely decimated and really didn't have the ability to stand on their own. [00:20:24] You were going into an era that became the Cold War era, and you had this threat coming from the USSR. [00:20:30] And so what were these countries to do? [00:20:32] They had to look to someone. [00:20:34] We were that someone, right? [00:20:35] We were the hegemonic power of the world. [00:20:37] We had all the gold after the war. [00:20:40] All the other gold had been bombed out. [00:20:42] And so we were sitting on a pile of gold. [00:20:44] And we decided, of course, to have a worldwide currency, which would be the US dollar. [00:20:48] And we pegged it to the gold until, well, Nixon unraveled that. [00:20:52] And that was in part because of pressure from France, actually, at the time. [00:20:54] But think about where we are now today. [00:20:58] In other words, these countries don't need us anymore. [00:21:01] They're not struggling. [00:21:02] We don't need a Marshall Plan for Germany. [00:21:05] And in fact, if anything, I'd argue that they've had it so darn good, so darn good that they think they can give out this, that, and the other. [00:21:16] To everyone? [00:21:18] I mean, they got a 6% unemployment rate in Italy, and yet what are they doing? [00:21:22] They're bringing 500,000 more migrants in. [00:21:26] That's Georgia Maloney's plan. [00:21:28] Same deal in Spain, okay? [00:21:30] Remember this. [00:21:30] So Spain is out there calling our war illegal, bringing in all kinds of migrants. [00:21:35] You should see the line outside the Moroccan embassy in Madrid as of last week, maybe a week and a half ago, when they gave the green light for 500,000 migrants to come in. [00:21:49] So they're doing that in Spain. [00:21:51] They're doing this in Italy. [00:21:54] 500,000 in Italy. [00:21:55] I mean, remember Georgia Maloney. [00:21:56] Who is she, right? [00:21:57] She was the lady who said, no, Italy must remain Italian. [00:22:03] This was her whole platform. [00:22:04] And suddenly we don't know who she is anymore. [00:22:07] I guess the Germans are getting to her. [00:22:09] You know, Friedrich. [00:22:11] Friedrich's been busy with his lobbying work. [00:22:13] Somehow now they're taking in 500,000 new migrants. [00:22:16] And she's telling you, you have to. [00:22:17] You absolutely have to do it. [00:22:19] Europe has to do it. [00:22:20] Italy has to do it. [00:22:21] Or we're all, you know, kaput. [00:22:22] Finito. [00:22:24] I would disagree with that. [00:22:41] So she thinks that the answer to their economic challenges would be to bring in 500,000 more people while they already have a high unemployment rate and give them benefits. [00:22:56] Yeah, 497,550 to be exact. [00:23:00] 164,850 are coming this year and they're all going to get benefits. [00:23:06] This is why I'm saying, you know what? [00:23:07] We can't give them any more money because like they're spendthrifts. [00:23:11] I mean, they had no sense of, you know, where anything's going. [00:23:16] They just spend it. [00:23:17] They're like, hey, you know, come here. [00:23:18] We'll give you national health care. [00:23:19] We'll give you unemployment benefits. [00:23:20] We'll give you family care. [00:23:21] We'll give you pension contributions. [00:23:24] All while we're sitting there going, wait a second. [00:23:27] We thought you were going to become more fiscally responsible, weren't you? [00:23:30] Italy, didn't you promise to become more fiscally responsible? [00:23:32] You said that you were going to actually contribute more to NATO. [00:23:36] You believed in the 5% GDP target. [00:23:38] Well, now she doesn't. [00:23:39] Georgia Maloney is like, oh, I can't afford it anymore. [00:23:42] You know, our economy's going down the tubes because of higher energy prices. [00:23:52] So we're looking at the possibility of a recession. [00:23:56] She's been warned, actually, by her equivalent of Treasury. [00:24:01] And consequently, we might be looking at a two tenths of a percent decline in economic output. [00:24:07] And so we can't. [00:24:08] We just can't give our 5%. [00:24:10] I mean, here we go again. [00:24:11] Here we go again. [00:24:14] Again and again. [00:24:16] And so we're now looking at it saying, okay, Germany, your deficit to GDP is a disaster. [00:24:25] I mean, it is a disaster. [00:24:26] It's as bad as Italy's, but for some reason, they cut the Germans a little bit more slack. [00:24:31] And Italy is a disaster. [00:24:33] And it's such a disaster that they're now putting pressure on Georgia saying, hey, you know what? [00:24:37] You may not be able to stay in the EU much longer. [00:24:43] This is, I guess, the threat they're hanging over her head. [00:24:45] Why? [00:24:45] Because they're not meeting the EU standards there in Italy. [00:24:50] They are at risk of possibly getting kicked out because they spend too much. [00:24:54] So there are all these fiscal alerts that are coming from her own central bank. [00:24:58] Her own central bank is like, hey, you know what? [00:25:01] We don't want to be in the penalty box anymore. [00:25:04] And we're still in the penalty box because we're spending more than 3% on, well, benefits, right? [00:25:11] They're running these deficits because they're spending so much on these benefits. [00:25:15] And it's like, you guys, you got to just get out. [00:25:17] Hang a hold of yourself and hang on the hang of the situation, like a handle on the situation, because you cannot have 500,000 migrants coming in and offering them all of these benefits if you don't have a solvent economy. [00:25:33] And you can't look at mom and dad anymore, meaning the US of A, to be there to bail you out. [00:25:39] We're not going to bail out Germany. [00:25:42] We just made that clear. [00:25:44] We're not going to bail out Spain. [00:25:46] I'll be curious to see what he does in Spain. === The End of Bailouts (03:59) === [00:25:48] I really will. [00:25:49] And we're not going to bail out Italy. [00:25:51] It's too bad because, you know, she seemed like she was great, but now the president is out torturing her in her own hometown newspapers. [00:26:00] Corriere della Sera, the Italian equivalent of the New York Times, suddenly, amazingly likes Georgia Maloney because Trump is criticizing her. [00:26:11] I mean, they like Jimmy Kimmel too, just to put it in perspective. [00:26:15] So we know where they stand. [00:26:18] Where they stand. [00:26:18] But the immigration thing, it's a problem. [00:26:20] It's a really, really, really big problem. [00:26:22] And by the way, Trump hinted at that in Florida today. [00:26:26] He took aim at Ilhan Omar. [00:26:28] Again, I got to play you this sound. [00:26:30] It's just great. [00:26:31] First, quick shout out to my other company, 76research.com. [00:26:35] 76research.com, we've had a lot of success with those portfolios. [00:26:39] I encourage you to go look at them. [00:26:54] It goes to $9.95 thereafter at my company, 76. [00:26:58] Research.com. [00:27:00] We really want you to partake in all this great opportunity that I see happening right now under this leadership. [00:27:07] And I think there are many, many, many more good things to come, at least for the rest of us. [00:27:13] Maybe not for Ilhan Omar. [00:27:15] Ilhan Omar getting attacked again by the President of the United States, who took a little pilgrimage down to the villages in Florida where they love him. [00:27:24] I mean, they just love him. [00:27:26] And he gave a big speech today. [00:27:28] And where did he take it? [00:27:29] To immigration. [00:27:31] and to fraud because people are fed up with all this. [00:27:35] Just fed up. [00:27:37] And Ilhan came up. [00:27:40] Let's watch. [00:27:42] To further stop Medicare and Medicaid from being looted by criminals and thugs, we've launched a war on fraud. [00:27:49] You've been watching it in the papers. [00:27:52] We're all over Minnesota, California, all over the place. [00:28:00] They're taking down hundreds and hundreds and even thousands of people a week and a day. [00:28:06] It's led by. [00:28:07] Great Vice President JD Vance, he's doing a great job. [00:28:15] I said, J.D., I want that job. [00:28:17] I want to do it as president. [00:28:18] He said, you better, let's do a little delegation, please. [00:28:22] But J.D.'s done a great job. [00:28:23] Thousands and thousands of people are, it's a fraud. [00:28:28] I mean, look at the wonderful country. [00:28:30] It's a beautiful country. [00:28:31] You should try it sometime. [00:28:32] Somalia, it's a beautiful place. [00:28:35] It's got no government. [00:28:36] It's got no military. [00:28:38] It's got no anything. [00:28:41] It's got one thing that's really strong, crime. [00:28:44] It's got a lot of crime. [00:28:45] They have no police. [00:28:47] All they do is run around shooting each other. [00:28:49] It's filthy, dirty, disgusting, dirty. [00:28:52] It's a horrible place. [00:28:54] They come here and Ilhan Omar, you ever hear of him? [00:29:02] Oh, a lot of praise on that one. [00:29:04] And think of it. [00:29:06] They have nothing but crime, poverty, pollution. [00:29:10] Everything is horrible over there. [00:29:12] Nothing good. [00:29:13] They say it's the worst country anywhere in the world, that we got some beauties out there, but it's the worst. [00:29:18] And then she comes here from Somalia and she tells us how to run the United States Of America. [00:29:24] She says, She says the Constitution gives me certain rights, gives me certain rights, and I demand that I be given these rights. [00:29:35] Get the hell out. [00:29:36] What a phony. [00:29:46] And then she married a brother to come in. === Somalia Woman Runs USA (06:05) === [00:29:48] I don't know, you know, you're not. [00:29:50] But I think, I would imagine they're looking at her. [00:29:52] I have nothing to do with it. [00:29:54] I would imagine. [00:29:56] Of course I have nothing to do. [00:29:58] I have nothing. [00:29:59] But I believe she married her brother, which is totally illegal. [00:30:05] Although it's a lovely couple, actually, but it's a little bit on the illegal side. [00:30:10] Darling, I love you very much. [00:30:12] Good night, brother. [00:30:13] Let's go to bed. [00:30:16] Oh, dear. [00:30:18] Isn't she despicable? [00:30:19] Can't stand watching. [00:30:21] I can't stand. [00:30:23] Did you see last month she accidentally checked the wrong box that said she was worth $38 million? [00:30:31] And law enforcement came after her for that. [00:30:34] And then all of a sudden she was worth less than $80,000. [00:30:38] And she said it was accounting. [00:30:40] It was an accounting error. [00:30:42] That was not a very good accountant, was it? [00:30:45] No. [00:30:46] Their whole life is based on fraud and a scam. [00:30:50] The whole thing is a scam, and we ought to get those people the hell out of our country. [00:30:58] Wow, do you hear that applause? [00:31:02] Everybody going wild. [00:31:03] I get it. [00:31:03] Look, I get it. [00:31:04] Um, amazing how you could check one box saying that you are worth 30 million and another box saying you're worth 95,000. [00:31:13] But then again, then again, this is the lady. [00:31:16] Oh, you know, I have to play it. [00:31:18] We should play this every Friday just for fun. [00:31:20] This is the lady. [00:31:23] Who doesn't seem to have any understanding of history, of world history? [00:31:33] I mean, she's in Congress. [00:31:35] I mean, forget Roman numerals. [00:31:37] There is no understanding of history whatsoever, as she proved so. [00:31:44] Not eloquently. [00:31:48] The last time the Alien Enemies Act was invoked, it was used to detain and deport German, Japanese, Italian immigrants during World War 11. [00:32:00] Welcome to the Quality Learning Center. [00:32:09] I saw that and I actually went and triple checked it because, you know, I wouldn't want to show you anything that was fake or that was AI unless I told you, okay, let's watch this little clip together. [00:32:21] It's kind of funny and it's AI. [00:32:22] I would always tell you, but I checked and checked and checked. [00:32:26] And sure enough, she said it. [00:32:28] She said it. [00:32:28] I'm like, how could anybody be that dumb? [00:32:34] I don't know. [00:32:35] I mean, I really don't know. [00:32:36] I don't know how you could ever make a slip up like that. [00:32:39] But. [00:32:41] She might have made more than just a little slip up on world history. [00:32:45] We're talking about a few slip ups. [00:32:47] There's the one that the president keeps referring to the allegations of having possibly married her brother or somebody that was, let's just say, not a romantic interest. [00:32:58] Somebody it is believed she committed immigration fraud with. [00:33:03] And even Tom Holman has admitted that the investigation is happening. [00:33:09] Watch. [00:33:12] Is the Trump administration going to go there? [00:33:16] The floor is yours. [00:33:16] The whole file is being reviewed. [00:33:19] A lot of smart people are on it. [00:33:21] Stay tuned. [00:33:26] So he can't say a lot. [00:33:29] The answer was stay tuned. [00:33:31] The president keeps hitting this over and over and over again. [00:33:33] I'm just going to say something, guys. [00:33:38] The conspiracy theories or the things that they said were conspiracy theories that Donald Trump has floated. [00:33:45] Have all kind of turned out to be a little bit true. [00:33:47] Have you noticed that? [00:33:48] I've noticed that. [00:33:49] Anyway, they did a raid on the Learing Center this week. [00:33:53] Breaking just moments ago now, large scale raids targeting federal fraud currently underway. [00:33:59] Federal agents seen leaving the Quality Learning Center. [00:34:03] And Brooke Taylor has more on that and what they're looking for. [00:34:07] Brooke, good morning. [00:34:09] Hi, Bill. [00:34:10] Good morning. [00:34:10] Yeah, we have had a photographer there at the daycare since this morning capturing video. [00:34:16] of those federal agents just going in and out of the building collecting evidence as part of the DOJ's fraud investigation in Minnesota. [00:34:24] Take a look at this video here. [00:34:26] Sources tell Fox that federal agents are raiding about 22 businesses across Minneapolis this morning. [00:34:34] And sources say many of them are tied to Somali owned operations. [00:34:38] All of this comes after that viral YouTube video from Nick Shirley. [00:34:43] It was back in December. [00:34:45] In that video, he visited different child care centers And you'll remember they were either closed or there were just no children inside despite receiving state child care funding. [00:34:55] Now, the location that you're looking at right now, it's the quality learning center. [00:35:00] This is the daycare. [00:35:01] It went viral. [00:35:02] It blew up on social media because of a sign outside with learning that was literally misspelled. [00:35:08] The education secretary at the time claimed that the daycare received $1.9 million while, quote, masquerading as a daycare. [00:35:17] And then shortly after that, the Trump administration. [00:35:20] You know what's really unbelievable? [00:35:21] Ilhan Omar. [00:35:23] As all of this was going on, like the Learning Center had been exposed by Nick Shirley. [00:35:29] And while this is happening in real time, she was applying for another million dollars for another Somali restaurant in her district so that that Somali restaurant could run a mental health clinic, which it claimed it had, above the kitchen. [00:35:47] I mean, a reporter actually went out there and said, Hey, has there ever been a mental health clinic there? === Ilhan Omar's Fraud Scandal (05:53) === [00:35:54] She spoke to the employees and they said, Nope. [00:35:57] And I would just say that. [00:35:59] Thank goodness the Republicans found that and they stopped it in its tracks. [00:36:03] But what is Ilhan doing? [00:36:04] I think, I think, and she may just play dumb on this. [00:36:09] And honestly, she might have a legal argument that she's not all there, World War 11 and all. [00:36:18] But I think that there's some nefarious stuff. [00:36:21] It is unproven at this point, but I consider the track record of the hubby, Timmy Minot, whom she was paying $3 million to. [00:36:30] Nobody pays their campaign manager nearly $3 million, $2.8 to be exact. [00:36:36] That does not happen in politics. [00:36:38] Everybody was worked up because Joe Biden's campaign guy was going to get $4 million if he won. [00:36:43] I mean, heck, you know, if you got Joe Biden elected president, you might have deserved the $4 million, okay? [00:36:51] You might have deserved $40, honestly. [00:36:53] Like that would be an impossible feat. [00:36:58] But a Minneapolis congressional campaign paying somebody $2.8 million doesn't happen. [00:37:05] You see, she's paying herself. [00:37:07] Money in, money into Ilhan's bank account. [00:37:11] They go out and they fundraise, and she pays her hubby, thereby paying herself. [00:37:15] It is a massive conflict of interest. [00:37:17] They tried to address this during the Biden years, but it went bye bye because, oh, that was racist. [00:37:25] You see, you're either racist or stupid if you ask her any questions. [00:37:35] We're not racist and we're not stupid. [00:37:39] And we have a lot of questions because it doesn't make any sense that your husband has a business, a venture capital firm with all of these investments that he claims in one filing is worth $30 million. [00:37:54] He claims $25 million, actually, to be fair, up to $25 million. [00:37:59] His winery, there are emails like a few weeks before they changed their position on this, emails where he's valuing it anywhere from like one and a half to seven something. [00:38:11] Million bucks, his winery. [00:38:13] The winery that didn't exist, the winery that had no wine, the winery that had no office, the winery that was out of like some WeWork, and then that didn't even exist. [00:38:20] I mean, there were no vineyards, there were no grapes, there was nothing. [00:38:25] So, how would it be worth that much? [00:38:27] And then let me ask you this question A venture capital firm, you know what that's like? [00:38:32] A bunch of investors get together and they try and find the next apple. [00:38:35] And they put a bunch of money together and they go invest in all these little firms that like hoping that one of them is going to be the next apple. [00:38:42] And so typically they lose a lot of money, but then they have one that hits it big. [00:38:47] And that's when they make their windfall. [00:38:50] So you see, a venture capital firm wouldn't actually pay dividends. [00:38:55] And yet, Ilhan and hubby Timmy were making $200 and some odd thousand dollars in dividends off of the venture capital firm. [00:39:07] That doesn't make sense, guys. [00:39:10] And she's been stonewalling. [00:39:12] They keep asking her and asking her and asking her for information, and she's not providing it. [00:39:17] Like, this woman's gonna wind up in jail. [00:39:19] Mark my words. [00:39:20] If this is what I think it is, she's going straight to the slammer. [00:39:24] Ilhan Omar getting caught by our friend Allison. [00:39:26] I feel like she's my friend. [00:39:27] I haven't met her, but she's terrific. [00:39:29] She hits up all of these congressional Dems and catches each and every one of them. [00:39:35] And for some reason, Ilhan has not learned to run away from Allison just yet. [00:39:40] This was great. [00:39:41] Right after we found her, claiming she was only worth $18,000 to $98,000 as opposed to up to $30,000, Allison found her watch. [00:39:55] The last time I spoke to Tina, you said that I was stupid for asking you about your financial disclosure, but there's some discrepancies on there. [00:40:05] Would you like to explain? [00:40:08] I have to explain to the American people. [00:40:11] What's the explanation? [00:40:12] I have given them the explanation. [00:40:13] Do you want to tell our viewers? [00:40:15] I don't want to tell you, judge. [00:40:17] How about that? [00:40:18] Okay. [00:40:18] Have a good day. [00:40:19] Woohoo! [00:40:20] You see what happens when Ilhan gets a little bit mad and her mouth gets kind of filthy, but you know, heck, she's dealing in cannabis and wine. [00:40:30] And I think she's been married three times. [00:40:31] That's not exactly what I'd call a very religious woman now, right? [00:40:36] Anyway, the point on fraud is a big one. [00:40:39] And we're getting more and more reports. [00:40:41] Brooke Rollins has been sort of spearheading this look at the accounting and where this money's going. [00:40:46] And what shocks her there in the administration is that so many of these people that were coming in and applying for SNAP benefits and other benefits were actually financially quite well off. [00:40:56] I mean, they were driving all kinds of luxury cars. [00:40:58] Hey, you know what? [00:40:59] That brings it full circle. [00:41:00] You think about Donald Trump going after the Mercedes, Audis, Porsches. [00:41:06] And BMWs right now over there in Germany. [00:41:09] Yeah. [00:41:11] Well, those are the cars that apparently the people on SNAP that Brooke Rollins has discovered are all driving. [00:41:18] Watch. [00:41:19] Sharing. [00:41:20] Previously, no data was shared. [00:41:22] We had no idea where the taxpayer dollars were spent. [00:41:25] Just one red state, the recent dump of data. [00:41:27] We found SNAP recipients had more than 2,000 Tesla owners, 200 Alfa Romeo owners, more than 144 that were receiving food stamps. [00:41:37] We're driving Porsches. [00:41:39] Again, this is the data dumps we're getting because that we before we had no accountability on any of these programs. [00:41:45] We now are requiring accountability. === SNAP Recipients Drive BMWs (06:18) === [00:41:48] The blue states are suing us, they don't want to share the data. [00:41:50] And can you imagine this was a red state where there is actually some taxpayer accountability? [00:41:57] Imagine what's happening in the blue states if that's happening in the red states. [00:42:01] Wow. [00:42:02] I mean, it's bad. [00:42:04] By the way, reminder subscribe, share, like. [00:42:07] Also, go check out my other company. [00:42:10] 76research.com. [00:42:12] Take a look at those portfolios. [00:42:13] We're actually crunching the numbers right now to look at where we are for the month ending April 30th. [00:42:19] But anyway, pretty nice showing, and we've continued to be up for the year, and it's pretty exciting to see. [00:42:26] 76research.com. [00:42:28] Look, a lot going on right now, including some big news out of the FCC. [00:42:34] The FCC making its first public statement since Jimmy Kimmel got blasted. [00:42:41] For his tasteless, disgusting joke about Melania and President Trump. [00:42:48] I want to share with you what Brendan Carr is saying, and this is bad news for Jimmy Kimmel. [00:42:52] Very, very bad news. [00:42:53] Disney has a strategy on this, I've heard, and I'm going to share with you what their strategy is. [00:42:58] But first, Brendan Carr talking about the FCC and its investigation into the DEI practices at ABC, Disney owned ABC, and the timing that coincided with Jimmy Kimmel's tasteless behavior. [00:43:13] Watch. [00:43:16] I just want to drill down on the question. [00:43:18] Did you get any pressure from the White House to take this action on Disney? [00:43:22] Did you speak to President Trump? [00:43:24] Did any of the White House direct you to do this? [00:43:26] And I think one thing the critics have raised is that in November, when President Trump asked you and the commission to revoke Disney licenses after an ABC reporter asked a question in the Oval Office of the Saudi Crown Prince, that the following day you announced you were opening a new review of the agreements between the local broadcast groups and the national broadcasters. [00:43:51] So was there any connection? [00:43:52] Did you feel any pressure? [00:43:53] Was the timing at all, you know, as a result of? [00:43:56] White House pressure, what happened on Saturday night? [00:43:58] No, this was a decision that we made inside this building based on where we were in the enforcement matter. [00:44:03] There was no pressure from the outside. [00:44:05] There was no suggestion from the outside. [00:44:07] There was no call for agency action from the outside. [00:44:10] This was based on our assessment of where we were. [00:44:13] In respect to President Trump, obviously he has every right, First Amendment right, to express his position on this. [00:44:18] One of the great things about President Trump is he's very transparent. [00:44:21] He has told publicly his position. [00:44:24] He has every right to make the decisions that he's made, to make the public calls that he's made. [00:44:27] That he's made. [00:44:28] Same with the first lady, and there's a lot of people out there that agree with them. [00:44:31] And just can I ask? [00:44:34] He's also trying to make it be known that this investigation was going on already. [00:44:43] In fact, it had been going on for about a year. [00:44:45] There's a current investigation going on into The View, and now this is a bigger, more formal probe into the affiliate licenses. [00:44:54] Look, ABC was warned, Jimmy Kimmel was warned. [00:44:59] But those warnings actually have nothing to do with the investigation itself. [00:45:04] And I want to clarify that because, yes, you know, Jimmy might find himself out of a job at some point. [00:45:10] It's not the strategy right now. [00:45:12] Disney's actually trying a different tact, which we'll get to. [00:45:15] I'll explain. [00:45:16] But they didn't really need to poke the bear the way they did because the bears get a lot of ammunition, a lot of ammunition. [00:45:28] There's a lot at stake right now. [00:45:30] These licenses are considered a privilege, and that is the distinction. [00:45:34] Okay, so this is, you know, everybody wants to go on about free speech. [00:45:36] Listen, network TV is just different, network radio is the same way. [00:45:40] Okay, it's, it's, and I've worked in all of this, right? [00:45:42] Like, I used to work in network news, and it's a completely different animal. [00:45:46] I couldn't believe it. [00:45:46] I was like, freedom when I got to cable, and here, oh my goodness, you know, I have a good time. [00:45:54] If you haven't noticed, hopefully you're having a good time too. [00:45:56] I think we have a good time together, but it's a completely different animal here. [00:46:00] And so there is a lot of just, parsing over words. [00:46:03] I remember when I was a correspondent, you know, they would, they would like micromanage your script. [00:46:09] I've told you the story, right? [00:46:11] You only get like a nine second tag. [00:46:13] God help you if you go 10. [00:46:14] The executive producer will just yell and yell and yell. [00:46:17] You weren't supposed to go 10 seconds. [00:46:18] It's like you have to like script it out and then say it so perfectly to the exact nine seconds. [00:46:24] I mean, talking about robots, right? [00:46:26] No fun at all. [00:46:27] Anyway, that's network television. [00:46:29] Network television is very controlled and there's a lot of people reviewing your scripts. [00:46:34] And back when I worked at it, you know, and that's going back a ways, like 20 years ago, because I left in 2006 and made the jump to cable. [00:46:43] And then in 2020 came over here, right? [00:46:45] Nice. [00:46:45] But in 2006, they still had some standards, and you couldn't actually just go off the reservation and be really partisan. [00:46:53] I mean, granted, they were partisan. [00:46:54] I'll just tell you hey, heads up, you know what? [00:46:56] They were super left. [00:46:57] But they tried, they tried to at least pretend they weren't so super left. [00:47:02] So what has happened? [00:47:04] I would just say, you know, okay, so this is a review of the licenses. [00:47:07] It's a review of the licenses, not because they've gone crazy with all their liberal garbage and they're projecting a point of view that's in line with the Democrat Party, which makes it nothing but political party speech and therefore not in line with what the FCC's charter is. [00:47:26] No way. [00:47:27] But that's actually not what he's looking at. [00:47:30] I mean, that's like in the back pocket because he can roll that one out any day of the week. [00:47:34] What he's actually looking at, Brendan Carr, is the allegation. [00:47:38] That there was a full on DEI push. [00:47:41] And this is serious stuff. [00:47:42] So Disney's in a lot of trouble. [00:47:44] ABC's in a lot of trouble because we've talked about this. [00:47:47] I mean, it was nauseating. [00:47:48] Their DEI, diversity, equity, and inclusion, nonstop all the time. [00:47:53] And they had special affinity groups at ABC. [00:47:56] And they had special casting roles at ABC. [00:48:01] And all they did was force feed this DEI nonsense, which, by the way, was horrible for their business. === Disney Faces DEI Allegations (12:48) === [00:48:06] Just look at the stock. [00:48:07] I mean, a disaster, right? [00:48:08] It's trading at half the value. [00:48:10] It traded at Back in 2021, and think about all the inflation. [00:48:13] Thank you, Joe Biden, very much. [00:48:15] All the inflation we've had since then. [00:48:17] So, this was like dead money. [00:48:18] Like, you invested in Disney stock, and it's kind of game over. [00:48:21] You look at the leadership that you had Bob Chapek, he succeeded Bob Iger, and then Bob Iger came back 2.0. [00:48:29] I mean, these guys were all in on this stuff. [00:48:31] Chapek was the chair of the CEO of the DEI Council, and then you had the Creative Inclusion Council, and they both got up there in 2020 and they made all these public statements, which, by the way, public records. [00:48:45] I've actually showed you some of them on this show where they said, we are committed to real diversity. [00:48:49] This is what's happening. [00:48:50] This, that, and the other. [00:48:51] And so we're going to have Snow White. [00:48:54] But no Seven Dwarfs. [00:48:56] Nope. [00:48:58] I mean, that was unbelievable. [00:49:00] Even the people that would have been cast as the Seven Dwarfs were furious over this one. [00:49:04] And then they completely trashed sort of the history of Snow White and what it was. [00:49:10] And then they went and got that Rachel Zegler, who is a very opinionated little. [00:49:15] Ingenue from New Jersey, and they ruined it. [00:49:20] I mean, it was a horrible, horrible movie. [00:49:23] Horrible movie. [00:49:25] It was like AI generated music and a terrible script, and they wanted to force feed a whole new image of Snow White. [00:49:32] It was horrible. [00:49:33] It was boring. [00:49:34] None of the kids liked it. [00:49:35] My kids certainly didn't like it, but none of the kids in the whole darn theater liked it. [00:49:38] I was watching, and there were like popcorn fights going on all around. [00:49:42] And then they had Captain America, but they had to change Captain America and make Captain America a whole new kind of guy who was. [00:49:50] Well, let's just say he didn't look like me. [00:49:52] And on top of that, he had a really fantastic new superpower, which was dun dun dun. [00:50:00] You ready for it? [00:50:00] Anybody know? [00:50:01] Anybody know? [00:50:02] Empathy. [00:50:03] I mean, wonderful. [00:50:04] You know, everybody should have empathy, but that's like kind of a given. [00:50:07] I expect my superheroes to have empathy, okay? [00:50:10] Let's give me some sizzle beyond that, right? [00:50:12] Can he fly? [00:50:13] Can he time travel? [00:50:15] Can he run really fast? [00:50:16] Nope. [00:50:17] Empathy. [00:50:17] That's it. [00:50:18] And so this was not very profitable for the company. [00:50:23] Shareholders were mad. [00:50:24] You had Nelson Peltz going in for the kill. [00:50:27] Nelson Peltz trying to do a hostile takeover of the company, which I'll tell you would have been great. [00:50:32] And instead, Bob Iger kept doubling down on all his DEI nonsense. [00:50:37] And Jimmy Kimmel kept going after anybody on the left. [00:50:43] ABC World News Tonight loved Kamala. [00:50:45] She was the second coming. [00:50:49] Oh, they loved Biden too, of course. [00:50:51] And all the coverage was 99% negative on Trump. [00:50:55] 99%, well, let's just go with 100% positive on Biden and Kamala. [00:51:02] And it was like the emperor has no clothes. [00:51:04] I mean, guys, have you seen Biden talk? [00:51:09] You don't want to admit that there's anything going on there? [00:51:11] Nope, they didn't want to admit it. [00:51:12] Anyway, all this came back to haunt them. [00:51:15] Shareholders started getting annoyed. [00:51:17] You know, they're like, Nelson Peltz, like, he's got a good idea. [00:51:20] Let's actually get some creativity into this company and stop going into this DEI garbage nonstop. [00:51:27] But they didn't take the advice until it was too late, not until Donald Trump had won the presidency. [00:51:32] And then in February of 2025, They came and announced we're getting rid of DEI, gone, okay? [00:51:40] It's over. [00:51:41] Well, not before they had already caught the attention of Brendan Carr, whom you just saw. [00:51:48] And Brendan Carr, the next month, sent a note to one Bob Iger in which he said, Hey, hey, Bob, guess what? [00:51:58] I'm investigating you. [00:52:00] I'm investigating you because you've gone down the tubes with all this DEI stuff. [00:52:05] And by the way, it's illegal. [00:52:07] And it's actually an invidious form of discrimination that I'm concerned about that would be putting you in prohibition of FCC rules. [00:52:17] So, as much as people want to say, oh, this is about the First Amendment and this and that, and that's actually not where Brendan's going in for the kill. [00:52:25] He's going in for the kill on something that will stand up in the court of law. [00:52:29] Just ask Harvard University how that worked out for them. [00:52:36] He's saying you guys discriminated. [00:52:38] Against people because you were so obsessed with this DEI nonsense. [00:52:44] And I wouldn't be surprised if they get one massive shareholder lawsuit as well. [00:52:48] Target got a shareholder lawsuit because investors are like, what the heck did you do? [00:52:52] I mean, the rainbow onesies on display. [00:52:55] Not to mention, oh, there was like some weird stuff about one of the designers who had a really, really sus sketch past. [00:53:02] I don't even want to talk about it, but let's suffice it to say Target went down a wrong path and it faced the music with shares. [00:53:11] Tanking, and of course, the harsh reality of the shareholder lawsuit that follows. [00:53:18] And then on top of it, you've got Bud Light. [00:53:20] I mean, that's sort of the special, right? [00:53:21] Bud Light really did itself in. [00:53:23] So DEI is so over, it's so dumb. [00:53:26] But if you, as a company engaged in it, if you, as a company like Disney, decided that you were only going to hire people that looked a certain way, then you're in big trouble. [00:53:35] And that's not going to change. [00:53:37] So listen, you got a lot of crapola to deal with. [00:53:44] You've got. [00:53:46] Equal time rules that you're in total violation of, and the FCC's called you out on it. [00:53:51] You've got this like decency rule, right, where you're supposed to be for the public good. [00:53:55] When they set these things up back in 1934, it's section 309A, 47 USC, 309A, which says the primary licensing provision says it's subject to the provisions of this section. [00:54:06] The commission shall determine in the case of each application, so each individual license, whether the public interest, convenience, and necessity will be served by the granting of such application. [00:54:15] You know what's fascinating too in this? [00:54:18] Brennan Carr and the FCC are going after the OOs, the owned and operated stations. [00:54:23] Those are the biggies, you know, in places like LA and New York, in Chicago. [00:54:28] That's where they have their big OOs. [00:54:30] I used to work for a CBS OO out in San Francisco. [00:54:34] So these are the station groups that, you know, they belong to one group. [00:54:38] It's called the station group for the network that kind of are the pillars. [00:54:42] And then all the other little affiliates, and there's hundreds of them that get their affiliate license through ABC, they also get their programming from ABC. [00:54:52] So Brennan Carr is sending a message and he's directing this at Disney because these are the Disney-owned affiliates, but he's basically saying to all the other affiliates out there, hey, you know, if you run a lot of this bad programming, you might be subject to a license review as well. [00:55:05] That's why they were so worried after Jimmy Kimmel said all that terrible stuff about Charlie Kirk. [00:55:10] Again, because there's a certain sort of decorum that they're supposed to have and it's not supposed to be so, so in the weeds on the politics and so left on the politics. [00:55:21] So what is Disney doing? [00:55:26] So far, Jimmy Kimmel still has a job. [00:55:31] And it is my understanding that the new CEO, Josh Tamaro, has been instructed to just ignore this so that it just goes away. [00:55:39] And, you know, it's not a bad strategy. [00:55:42] In all fairness, not a bad strategy. [00:55:43] Why? [00:55:44] Because if you don't say anything, then maybe people like me stop reporting on it. [00:55:52] In fact, it's the kind of thing where, you know, like I don't want to just keep repeating myself over and over again. [00:56:00] Well, sometimes you guys are like, really? [00:56:03] You're talking about Ilhan Omar again? [00:56:05] Yep, we are because somebody's going to stay on it. [00:56:08] And I'm determined. [00:56:09] I'm the dog with the bone right now. [00:56:10] And on this one, Jimmy Kimmel and ABC, they want it to go away. [00:56:14] That's exactly their strategy. [00:56:16] Josh Tamara, the new CEO taking over Bob Iger, he's like, okay, if we just ignore it and we don't feed the story, then they don't have anything new to report on. [00:56:30] And so that is their strategy. [00:56:31] And again, you know, if I were advising a company, I might say, you know, hey, that's a good strategy because the more you do something on it, the more you're sort of, you know, enabling the entire media community to report on it. [00:56:48] So maybe it goes away, except this time it's different. [00:56:54] This time it's different. [00:56:55] It reminds me of the Bud Light thing because people are so upset. [00:57:00] People are furious. [00:57:02] I want to bring up the stock chart too. [00:57:04] I mean, people are furious. [00:57:06] If you're investing in this company, you're furious because you're looking at that and you're just seeing all your money go right up in smoke. [00:57:12] And then, you know, you're furious if you're a viewer and you don't like what Jimmy Kimmel is saying. [00:57:19] You're pretty angry as well. [00:57:21] And so I don't think that this story, even if they try to ignore it, just cleverly goes away. [00:57:27] I also think they're up against one Donald Trump. [00:57:30] And when Donald Trump puts his mind to it, he can actually make this part of the news as well. [00:57:35] Don't forget Melania Trump with her true social post immediately following that third assassination attempt on her husband. [00:57:45] Let me just throw this at you guys. [00:57:49] If Greg Gutfeld, who by the way can be as political as he wants, he's on a very political network and he's on cable, so go for it. [00:57:57] But if Greg were to sit there and say all the things about Biden, Jimmy Kimmel has said about President Trump. [00:58:09] Don't you think that people would be upset? [00:58:11] I mean, imagine if he said those things about Kamala, too. [00:58:13] I mean, I'm just trying to think about a conservative comedian. [00:58:16] I guess he's sort of the only one. [00:58:20] You couldn't do that. [00:58:21] Like people would get really, really, really mad. [00:58:24] And Fox might be sensitive to it because Fox also has a lot of affiliates and a lot of O&Os, owned and operated stations that aren't cable. [00:58:35] But he actually never did anything like that. [00:58:39] I mean, this is really inappropriate of Jimmy. [00:58:42] And you know what? [00:58:43] He could have taken it down from Twitter. [00:58:46] I know he taped it on like a Thursday, right? [00:58:48] and the dinner happened on Saturday, but he was still allowing it to be circulated following the event with no apology. [00:58:57] So that's just bad behavior. [00:58:59] And he thinks he can do it. [00:59:00] He thinks he can get away with it. [00:59:01] Why? [00:59:02] Because he lives in his own little universe with his wifey, who is his executive producer, his head writer, and the boss of all his peeps, who hates Trump. [00:59:16] So the two of them together are in their own insulated little world. [00:59:21] And they think that this is okay. [00:59:22] And clearly, you know, Disney, his new CEO, is too terrified to deal with it. [00:59:27] And so what they don't understand, though, is that it's not up to Disney because Trump can go on and on about Kimmel as much as he wants. [00:59:37] And believe me, he will. [00:59:40] I mean, I don't think he's thinking about him 24-7, but when the opportunity strikes, he'll go there. [00:59:48] He'll go there. [00:59:49] And so, you know, if Disney were smart for its shareholders' sake, it might want to think about pulling Jimmy from the air? [01:00:02] Maybe. [01:00:04] Would it be an olive branch? [01:00:08] I don't know. [01:00:09] I'm going to tell you that. [01:00:10] I think the guy is a terrible comedian. [01:00:13] I think he runs a terrible show. [01:00:14] I think he's costing the network plenty of money because, let's face it, you don't need the big studio audience. [01:00:21] You don't need all the bells and whistles. [01:00:23] You could actually, if you were a talented Jimmy, you could write your own jokes. [01:00:26] You wouldn't need your wife and 40 others writing them for you. [01:00:30] So, you get a lot of overhead. [01:00:32] I frankly don't think it's worth it. [01:00:34] I get rid of you for that reason and that reason alone. [01:00:37] As for, are you costing the company and the brand? [01:00:41] It's a serious consideration. [01:00:46] I don't like the idea, full disclosure of somebody being able to come along and say, hey, you know what? [01:00:51] We don't like what you're saying, so therefore you're off the air. [01:00:53] I don't love that, right? === Cut the Studio Audience (01:37) === [01:00:55] But I'm also very aware that this is crossing a line. [01:01:00] It's just not. [01:01:02] Under the circumstances, the right kind of thing to be joking about. [01:01:07] And if that's what you got to go to every time because you're not funny enough to come up with your own stuff, heck, I just showed you Ilhan Omar in World War 11. [01:01:12] Huh, go with that. [01:01:13] Why not, right? [01:01:14] If you can't come up with your own stuff and you actually have to talk about assassination attempts in order to get a laugh, I think you jumped the shark. [01:01:25] You jumped the shark a long time ago, Jimmy. [01:01:27] It is time to go. [01:01:30] You proved that certainly with Charlie. [01:01:35] God rest his soul. [01:01:36] It's good to have you guys here. [01:01:38] I mean, the Europeans, they are done. [01:01:39] Are they done or are they done? [01:01:40] What do you think? [01:01:42] Is this the right move? [01:01:43] Germany, you're on your own? [01:01:44] I think it is. [01:01:44] I think it's high time the Germans figured out how to do things on their own. [01:01:47] And I think now is the time. [01:01:50] Europe, it's been great. [01:01:52] But you know what? [01:01:53] We got to set ourselves up for the next 100 years. [01:01:56] And you need to do that too. [01:01:58] So maybe you need to give a little less in the way of handouts, maybe secure your borders a little bit better, and maybe. [01:02:06] Remember who your friends are next time because we're the ones that are going to protect you when push comes to shove from that nuclear weapon that could have been heading your way. [01:02:13] Great to have you here. [01:02:14] Have a terrific weekend, everyone. [01:02:15] We've got plenty more content coming your way. [01:02:18] I might even pop back on on Sunday. [01:02:21] We shall see. [01:02:22] We shall see. [01:02:23] Anyway, again, always great to see you guys. [01:02:25] And we have so many regulars now on the channel. [01:02:28] Thanks for spreading the word. [01:02:29] Keep doing it. [01:02:30] Leave a comment. [01:02:31] Every bit helps. [01:02:32] I'll see you Monday.
