The Trish Regan Show - Trump Uses Shutdown to SLASH $18B from NYC Contracts — Letitia James & Kathy Hochul PANIC! Aired: 2025-10-04 Duration: 57:33 === Democrats Hand Trump a Gift (14:04) === [00:00:02] A big happy Friday to everyone. [00:00:04] Wow. [00:00:05] I mean, this is exactly what Donald Trump wanted, right? [00:00:08] This is exactly what Russ Vought, aka the Grim Reaper, wanted. [00:00:13] They wanted to be able to have a smaller government. [00:00:16] And what do you know? [00:00:16] The Democrats handed them the opportunity and they're running. [00:00:19] They're running like all the way to the touchdown lane with this one. [00:00:23] They got the ball. [00:00:24] They've taken it and we're off to the races. [00:00:26] You know who's really feeling the pain or going to feel the pain? [00:00:29] One, Letitia James. [00:00:32] Leticia James in New York City, Kathy Holkle, they're flipping out because guess what? [00:00:35] He just canceled. [00:00:36] He canceled $18 billion worth of contracts going to New York City for infrastructure. [00:00:42] Oh, and then he's getting rid of another $8 billion for all these blue states all around the country that voted for this shutdown. [00:00:49] This is not looking good for them. [00:00:50] The Democrats, that is. [00:00:52] Not at all. [00:00:53] And people are starting to get really, really nervous. [00:00:54] We're going to talk all about that. [00:00:56] Plus, we're going to talk about the latest with Leticia James. [00:00:58] Apparently, she's out of money. [00:00:59] She doesn't have any money to fight all these legal challenges. [00:01:03] Wow, sweet justice, right? [00:01:04] We will discuss and La Monica. [00:01:09] We haven't gotten to say that name in a while now, have we? [00:01:12] La Monica MacGyver, the representative from New Jersey, the new one that got caught allegedly slugging one of the ICE officers. [00:01:23] Well, she's got a new legal defense theory based on some new tape that was just released, but I think it sinks her even further. [00:01:28] We're going to show it to you. [00:01:30] We got a big show here today, a very big one. [00:01:32] Make sure you subscribe, like, share, all that good stuff. [00:01:35] Again, we begin on the Grim Reaper, the president sending out a video. [00:01:40] Did you see this? [00:01:41] Of the Grim Reaper, you know, with the tune and everything. [00:01:43] I can't play the tune because, you know, that's copywritten apparently by Sony. [00:01:47] I looked at it earlier today because they came up with some clever words about Donald Trump and the shutdown and everything. [00:01:52] But because the music itself is actually a real tune written back in the 70s, I couldn't actually play it for you. [00:01:58] But you get to see the video, do you not? [00:02:01] And this is what he sent out, all right? [00:02:02] So he's making it really clear, by the way, to not just new York City and Letitia James, but to the entire world that he's serious, he means business, and he is going to make these cuts. [00:02:14] That's Russ. [00:02:14] You see him there. [00:02:15] Okay, Grim Reaper, what did I tell you? [00:02:17] And then they have the sombrero hats. [00:02:20] I mean, if you've been following along all this week, you know what the sombrero hats are. [00:02:25] None of this is, you know, good. [00:02:27] It is kind of, I mean, it's kind of funny, right? [00:02:30] Like he was one of the Project 2025 guys from Heritage, and everybody was warning against Project 2025. [00:02:36] I always was like looking at Project 2025, and I'm like, what's the problem? [00:02:41] Like lower, you know, smaller government, lower taxes for people. [00:02:46] Like, isn't that what we want? [00:02:48] Yeah. [00:02:49] Well, Leticia James and Kathy Holkle, their heads are spinning right now. [00:02:55] And people are starting to kind of question this, this shutdown that Schumer holds a lot of responsibility for. [00:03:01] The AOC, by the way, is apparently behind the scenes pulling the strings on because she wants Chucky's job. [00:03:06] And Chucky's like terrified and he's scared of her. [00:03:09] And so as a result of that, he's going along too fearful that she's going to point the finger at him. [00:03:14] But what's it actually going to mean for New York? [00:03:16] It's going to mean less money for New York, $18 billion less worth of infrastructure spending. [00:03:22] Oh, Letitia, Letitia, Kathy, I don't know what to tell you, but you know, they're your own peeps. [00:03:29] Tell AOC, tell Chuck Schumer to do something, would you? [00:03:33] I mean, they might actually be able to help you out here if they wanted to. [00:03:37] Look, I think that some Democrats are actually realizing, perhaps not fast enough, that they just basically handed the Trump administration one big old gift, and frankly, a gift for the rest of us, because wherever we can find needless spending, we should be cutting it out. [00:03:55] This is probably not good for Stacey Abrams either. [00:03:58] Here we go. [00:03:59] Take a listen to what they're saying over at MSNBC. [00:04:01] They're terrified. [00:04:02] The president put on a social media post a picture of Russ Vogt and said, All eyes are on Russ Vogt today. [00:04:09] And I don't want to oversimplify what is so very not simple with a government shutdown, but effectively, you have an OMB director out of the White House who is effectively running the federal government and making massive decisions here. [00:04:22] They could potentially cripple some of these agencies, which we should be clear, as he wrote in Project 2025. [00:04:29] He has argued that some of these agencies are too big and have hurt Americans. [00:04:32] And so from his vantage point, he has been empowered by the president to move forward with these firings. [00:04:37] And then on top of that are the cuts, the budget cuts that he has been very clear that he has the power to decide what projects get allotted money. [00:04:48] And as Speaker Johnson said yesterday, it is a subjective decision, one to advance this administration's priorities. [00:04:54] And just this morning in a tweet, Russ Vogt, he made clear that there is another project specifically in Chicago. [00:05:01] That is set to, at least for now, get withholding of funds, saying $2.1 billion in Chicago infrastructure projects, specifically the Red Line Extension and the Red and Purple Modernization Project, have been put on hold to ensure funding is not flowing via race based contracting. [00:05:17] Yesterday, he threatened two infrastructure projects here in New York. [00:05:20] He threatened 16 other Democratic led states and green energy projects. [00:05:24] And when we're talking about this Red Line extension in Chicago, I know most people don't live in Chicago, but for those that do, this is a five and a half mile extension that had been talked about for decades, went through this contracting process. [00:05:36] And it is currently moving forward up until this moment here. [00:05:39] And this was a line that was a rail line that was going into the far south side of Chicago, a largely minority, low income population that has never been served by a rail line to give them access to the rest of Chicago. [00:05:51] These are the types of projects that we are talking about this White House using the shutdown to halt funding for. [00:05:56] Yeah, and it's taxpayer funding. [00:05:58] It's American money. [00:05:59] And it's been contracted and previously contracted. [00:06:01] Okay. [00:06:04] So, I mean, maybe I'm just. [00:06:06] Maybe I'm being too East Coast centric. [00:06:08] I don't know, picking on Letitia James and Kathy Holkle. [00:06:11] Don't forget, Chicago's in the mix too. [00:06:13] Okay, so he's going after a lot of places that basically have been responsible for causing this shutdown to begin with. [00:06:20] And also places like Chicago where he's questioning, if you would, you know, the legality of some of the hiring practices. [00:06:29] We don't have to go through it all, but I've played this for you before. [00:06:31] The mayor, Brandon Johnson, saying over and over again, you know what? [00:06:34] We need to make sure that we hire black people because black people do this, that, and the other. [00:06:39] And, you know, black people. [00:06:40] And it's like, whoa, whoa, whoa. [00:06:41] And we've got a black this and we've got a black that and we've got a black this. [00:06:43] And it's like, buddy, come on. [00:06:45] Like this is, I mean, you just invert it, right? [00:06:50] And you use another race. [00:06:52] If you said we have a white person doing this, a white person, that would be a problem. [00:06:57] So he's saying, look, you've got DEI challenges in Chicago that we are taking issue with. [00:07:03] We're not going to support things that are not fair, right? [00:07:07] For everyone. [00:07:08] And so the Grim Reaper is basically coming to New York City, coming to Letitia James, coming straight for Democrats. [00:07:16] And there's very very little they can do. [00:07:18] I mean, they can't do anything. [00:07:19] They can't do absolutely, you know. [00:07:20] And I spent a lot of time this morning looking at this from a legal standpoint, trying to say, okay, well, does he really have the authority? [00:07:26] And here's the reality yes. [00:07:28] Okay. [00:07:29] That's the short answer. [00:07:30] Yes. [00:07:30] Because it is now up to the White House, to the OMB, Russ, vote to do all of this. [00:07:41] In other words, they got to stay functional. [00:07:44] And so you've got to cut the fat. [00:07:48] And we got a lot of fat. [00:07:51] You know, not just in the military, like Pete likes to talk about. [00:07:54] He wants more fit soldiers. [00:07:57] No more, no more, you know, fat sows in the military if you listen to Pete. [00:08:01] But we've got to cut. [00:08:03] We've got to cut more. [00:08:05] I mean, realistically, spending this much, it's not sustainable, right? [00:08:10] So this is actually a great opportunity. [00:08:13] A lot of people have wanted to do this for a whole lot of years. [00:08:16] Here's Mike Johnson explaining that issue of authority and just the reality check that these Democrats need. [00:08:23] Everybody needs to understand how this works. [00:08:26] When Congress decides to turn off the lights to shut the government down, it shifts the authority to the executive branch. [00:08:32] That's how the process works. [00:08:34] The person who has decided to put the White House in that situation is Chuck Schumer, who leads the Democrats, the 44 who keep voting to keep the government from opening up. [00:08:43] They're voting to shut it down. [00:08:45] So what happens in that situation? [00:08:46] Whoever is the president, whoever is sitting in the White House and their staffs at the Office of Management and Budget are given an unenviable task. [00:08:54] It's a regretful situation. [00:08:56] They have to then determine, since the spigots have been effectively turned off and there's no more money coming in, they have to then prioritize, triage effectively federal spending. [00:09:05] They have to look at all of that and say, you know, which things are deemed essential and which are non essential. [00:09:10] Which priorities, policies, and personnel must be kept to keep the government operating and which are less of a priority. [00:09:17] So whomever is sitting in the White House gets to then apply their lenses of review. [00:09:22] We happen to have a Republican, a conservative administration. [00:09:25] We're very grateful for that. [00:09:27] We're limited government conservatives. [00:09:29] We think the government's too big. [00:09:30] We think the federal government is too big. [00:09:31] It does too many things and it does almost nothing well. [00:09:34] And so it serves the taxpayers to send less of their hard-earned money to Washington and keep more in their pockets. [00:09:39] That's what we're advancing through the one big beautiful bill and all the legislative priorities that we achieve. [00:09:44] But see, sometimes Democrats, not sometimes, all the time, Democrats don't agree with that because they love big government. [00:09:48] I mean, listen to them. [00:09:49] They want the government to control every aspect of your lives and they need all of your hard-earned dollars to do that. [00:09:54] In fact, they'd like to take them all. [00:09:55] That's what the socialists are arguing for. [00:09:57] That's what Marxists believe. [00:09:59] We believe the opposite. [00:10:00] So here's this situation. [00:10:01] Here's the president, the current occupant of the White House, that's been given this opportunity by Chuck Schumer. [00:10:06] And he's a limited government conservative. [00:10:08] He's looking at that and saying, gee, you know, this is inefficient. [00:10:11] This is ineffective. [00:10:12] And we'd never get Democrat votes to limit that because they never vote to limit government ever. [00:10:17] It's against their religion. [00:10:18] But he has that opportunity now to say, this is a program that would serve the American people if it were not funded because government would be more efficient and effective. [00:10:27] And that serves everyone. [00:10:28] So they're going to make those decisions. [00:10:29] They're going to make those decisions whether you guys like it or not, okay? [00:10:34] You asked for this. [00:10:35] I mean, this is your deal, right? [00:10:38] This is your show now. [00:10:40] Chuck Schumer, AOC, Nancy Pelosi, Hakeem, Jeffreys, you know, the Soprano guy. [00:10:48] I'm sorry, the meme was funny, right? [00:10:50] Like it was really, really funny. [00:10:52] I know I shouldn't laugh at that, but one can't help oneself sometimes. [00:10:57] Anyway, it's like, Sweet justice for New York City. [00:11:01] They're coming. [00:11:02] They're coming for them. [00:11:03] Here's Donald Trump featured as the green reaper in that meme. [00:11:07] And then, of course, you have Russ as well. [00:11:10] Blue states are really losing out. [00:11:11] Like I said, they're going to lose $8 billion in green energy funding, $18 billion in federal funds. [00:11:16] They're looking at a lot of programs. [00:11:18] I mean, it's sad, too, right? [00:11:19] Because the WIC program is on the line. [00:11:21] We talked about that yesterday. [00:11:22] I mean, even CNN is like, oh my gosh, like, guys, what are you doing? [00:11:25] It's women and children. [00:11:26] And I don't think, you know, we've got to be careful about how we characterize this. [00:11:31] Like, on the one hand, You never want your government to shut down. [00:11:33] This is not ideal. [00:11:34] I don't love the way it looks, you know, internationally speaking. [00:11:37] But I also am very much a realist in recognizing where the Democrats are. [00:11:41] And they wanted $1.5 trillion to go to illegal health care spending. [00:11:46] And, you know, they're going to tell you whatever they're going to tell you. [00:11:49] They're going to try and say, oh, no, no, that's not the truth. [00:11:51] That's actually a lie. [00:11:52] But you know what? [00:11:53] Here's the truth. [00:11:56] All of that money gets divvied up out to the states. [00:12:00] And all of the states can do whatever they want with it. [00:12:03] And guess what they're doing in California? [00:12:05] They're spending it. [00:12:06] on illegal migrants. [00:12:08] And so you start to say to yourself after a while, gee, does this really, really make sense? [00:12:14] I don't think so. [00:12:15] I really don't. [00:12:17] You know, I would say as much as Trump is cutting from New York City, get a load of this. [00:12:21] He's announcing an increase in security. [00:12:24] I love this. [00:12:25] He's reversing the cuts that were made during the Biden administration, right, to homeland security and counterterrorism efforts. [00:12:32] Hello? [00:12:33] Like, yeah. [00:12:34] Okay, like that makes sense. [00:12:36] Like, where are we going to prioritize things right now? [00:12:38] Is it green energy and infrastructure projects to nowhere? [00:12:41] Or is it counterterrorism and security? [00:12:45] I mean, that seems kind of basic. [00:12:46] So he's up in the homeland security. [00:12:48] ICE, get ready. [00:12:49] You're going to have more officers in NYC, whether you like it or not, Leticia. [00:12:53] Whether you like it or not, Kathy. [00:12:55] Okay, so more money's going to that. [00:12:57] While we get rid of some of the green stuff, while we get rid of some of the infrastructure, pet projects that got pushed through by certain groups. [00:13:07] He writes on Truth Social just moments ago I am pleased to advise that I reversed the cuts made to homeland security and counterterrorism for New York City and state. [00:13:17] It was my honor to do so. [00:13:19] Thank you for your attention to this matter, President Donald J. Trump, DJT. [00:13:24] He's on it. [00:13:26] He's on it and like i'm sorry, but like I don't know how they fight this, I keep saying that they are in for a big challenge. [00:13:37] Um, just going through some of the key points again, 18 billion, it was like the first thing in the project right, the first thing they did. [00:13:45] The grim reaper came for New York City, but they're going after Chicago too, as he tweeted earlier today, and Vouch is also pointing out that they're going to get rid of the 8 billion in other energy projects. [00:13:57] The funding was actually earmarked for the Hudson Tunnel project and the Second Avenue subway project. [00:14:04] Gosh, they're not done with that. === Grim Reaper Targets NYC Budget (11:10) === [00:14:06] I gotta tell you. [00:14:08] I I feel like it was like 15 years ago. [00:14:10] My husband and I we were looking at apartments and like every time we'd come across Second Avenue, nobody wanted to be on Second Avenue because it was so far from the subway right, and they were like we got the Second Avenue subway going in. [00:14:22] Everybody was talking about the Second Avenue subway and I feel like recently I was there maybe it was a couple summers ago and it was all torn up right for the Second Avenue subway. [00:14:30] Like you're a little nervous about eating in some of the restaurants there, given all the tunnel work that was going on and I guess they still haven't finished it. [00:14:39] Amazing, amazing. [00:14:40] So Vaut was announcing that the freeze um is happening there again at the Hudson Tunnel project as well as the Second Avenue subway project, and um they're. [00:14:51] They're going to basically say, listen, any funding that is flowing based on unconstitutional dei priorities will be stopped. [00:15:03] Did you hear that, Brandon? [00:15:04] Out there in Chicago? [00:15:06] Those days are over. [00:15:07] Did you hear that? [00:15:09] Mayor Bass out there in LA? [00:15:11] Karen? [00:15:12] Yeah, those days are over. [00:15:13] You actually have to earn it. [00:15:16] We're not just going to give money away because we think that this project needs to go to somebody because of the color of their skin. [00:15:22] That's not who America is. [00:15:23] It's never who America was. [00:15:26] Why do we have the American dream? [00:15:27] Why do we have the prosperity? [00:15:28] Why do we enjoy the highest standard of living in the world? [00:15:30] It is because of our capitalist foundations that they are trying to rip right out from under us. [00:15:37] Why are they so mad? [00:15:38] Because they want to keep it all. [00:15:40] They want to keep every single thing they can. [00:15:43] They're, frankly, a bunch of little piggies. [00:15:47] Yeah, that's what they are. [00:15:48] Bunch of little piggies. [00:15:50] You know, we did this the other day with, you know, this woman. [00:15:54] She was fired. [00:15:56] I've almost forgotten her name, but. [00:15:58] Not quite. [00:15:58] Um, Joy Read. [00:16:01] Joy Read, who used to be on Msnbc and I got a kick out of this one because we made it into a short she sees this, ladies and gentlemen, as something that's just atrocious. [00:16:11] That, I think, is kind of natural to want right. [00:16:14] And this, I think, gets at the heart of why we fundamentally have such a different view on these things, because it is a religion to them. [00:16:21] They want all the government to keep all the money to control everything. [00:16:24] And you and I, what do we want? [00:16:25] We want for all of us to have a shot at this, because why do people work harder? [00:16:31] Because there's some reward at the end. [00:16:33] I mean, unless you want to live in some kind of utopia that doesn't exist, that turns into a total hell, and it's happened all around the world, Joy. [00:16:44] Funny, she sees this as a bad thing. [00:16:47] That if you go back before the 20th century, there were no income taxes, there were no regulations on business. [00:16:53] You could earn as much money as you want, leave 100% of it to your children with no taxes. [00:16:58] That's the world they want back. [00:16:59] Yeah. [00:16:59] I mean, people want to keep a little bit more of what they earn. [00:17:04] Can you blame them? [00:17:05] It's. [00:17:05] Called capitalism, baby yaha okay capitalism, and that is what has made us who we are. [00:17:13] So why are you going to turn and take all that away? [00:17:15] That's what they're trying to do. [00:17:16] And, by the way, New York City I love it that he's. [00:17:19] He's taking the money from New York City because that's the city that's about to elect the communist comrade mayor, Mamdami, who doesn't believe that, you know, [00:17:33] you have a right to earn that much money, who thinks that there should be community housing that thinks they need to go in and tax everyone who makes more money and everyone who owns a property and they want to have community grocery stores and free transportation. [00:17:50] the whole bit. [00:17:50] Well, how are they going to pay for that? [00:17:52] By the way, everybody's going to leave. [00:17:54] Everybody is going to leave if they haven't left already. [00:17:57] I mean, the prices in Connecticut real estate are already going up, right? [00:18:01] Florida as well. [00:18:03] Florida is a really good place to go. [00:18:04] Well, we've seen that. [00:18:05] That's been going on for quite some time. [00:18:07] I want to go to the White House press briefing that happened moments ago. [00:18:10] Caroline Levitt is, you know, sort of reading the riot act to these reporters saying, listen, like, this is not an enviable position, but is the reality of where we are now. [00:18:20] And so, sure, the president's joking around a little bit with the meme and the Grim Reaper, but the reality is that he's been handed this opportunity. [00:18:28] And so, it's an opportunity he can't actually ignore. [00:18:31] Listen. [00:18:31] This is an unfortunate consequence. [00:18:34] But the president has described this as an unprecedented opportunity to lay off additional workers. [00:18:39] He's posted a video likening Russ Vogt to the Grim Reaper. [00:18:43] So, Which is this? [00:18:44] Is this an opportunity to fire more workers or an unfortunate consequence? [00:18:48] Look, the president likes to have a little fun every now and then, and I think both things can be true at the same time. [00:18:52] The Democrats have given the administration this opportunity, and we don't like laying people off. [00:18:57] Nobody takes joy in that around here, and if you think that, then I think that's very sad. [00:19:02] You view the White House and our staff as wanting to put people out of work. [00:19:05] Nobody wants to do that, but sometimes in government, you have to make tough decisions. [00:19:11] And he's willing to make the decisions, all right? [00:19:13] Let's be really clear. [00:19:14] He has no problem making those decisions. [00:19:17] Hakeem Jeffries living out there in La La Land over on Congressional, on the Hill today. [00:19:23] I want you to see what his response to all of this is. [00:19:27] I mean, how stupid can you be? [00:19:30] At the end of the day, the public knows that Donald Trump and Republicans have shut the federal government down. [00:19:38] And that they're continuing to engage in the chaos and the cruelty and the corruption that we've seen from this administration from day one of the presidency again. [00:19:51] Do you dare me? [00:19:53] You know where I'm going, right? [00:19:55] I got it here. [00:19:57] I can't help myself. [00:19:58] It's a disgusting video, and we're going to continue to make clear. [00:20:02] Bigotry will get you nowhere. [00:20:05] We are fighting to protect the health care of the American people in the face. of an unprecedented Republican assault. [00:20:12] I mean, that was just great. [00:20:17] That was precious. [00:20:18] That was meme 2.0, right? [00:20:19] Because the original one had already come out. [00:20:23] So he's out there saying the American people know this. [00:20:25] The American people know this. [00:20:26] No, the American people don't actually think that you're looking out for them in any way, shape, or form. [00:20:30] In fact, everything I've seen and I've looked at all the poll data is the American people are actually blaming Democrats. [00:20:35] That's why you guys have literally no future right now. [00:20:39] I'm looking at your poll numbers. [00:20:40] I mean, this is bad, bad, bad, bad. [00:20:42] I mean, it's so obvious. [00:20:44] It's like, I could be a Democrat consultant tomorrow. [00:20:46] I wouldn't be. [00:20:47] But, you know, honestly, they ought to like watch the show because I think they would get a lot of ideas on what not to do. [00:20:53] And, you know, it's like, you can't sit there and lie to us anymore. [00:20:57] We've been lied to way too much. [00:20:59] And I mean, I realize that Jake Tapper over on CNN is probably looking for his next gig at Fox. [00:21:05] Yeah, he's the guy that scolded Lara Trump when she said, oh, can you get it out, Joe? [00:21:11] He played that clip of her and then brought her on his show. [00:21:15] and then said, Lara, you know, are you, you're making fun of little kids everywhere that have a stutter. [00:21:21] Did you know that Joe Biden had a stutter? [00:21:22] She's like, I didn't know he had a stutter. [00:21:24] I really think it's a mental decline. [00:21:25] Oh, no. [00:21:26] How dare you? [00:21:26] How dare you say it's a mental decline? [00:21:28] And he went on and on and on about that. [00:21:30] And then he came out, what do you know? [00:21:32] With a book on the cover up of the mental decline, which he was part of, of course. [00:21:35] Maybe he's trying to get himself out of trouble. [00:21:38] I don't know. [00:21:38] I do think he's looking for a job at Fox, which is partly why he's actually owning up to reality with Hakeem Jeffries. [00:21:45] Here we go. [00:21:46] The clip. [00:21:46] Some of you saw this yesterday, but it's good. [00:21:48] It's worth understanding. [00:21:50] How hypocritical these people really are. [00:21:53] Donald Trump blessed it as well. [00:21:55] So let me ask you about a provision that the Republicans are talking about quite a bit. [00:21:58] I know you want to talk about, and Democrats want to talk about, extending the Obamacare subsidies, which expire at the end of 2025. [00:22:05] But they talk about the provisions, and it's right here, subtitle E, and this has to do with the repeal of health care subtitle changes and specifically what it is. [00:22:14] How they characterize it is you want to give health insurance to undocumented immigrants. [00:22:21] I understand that's not really an accurate depiction, but what it does do is. [00:22:24] It's a lie. [00:22:25] It's a lie, but what you support does bring back funding for emergency Medicaid to hospitals, some of which does pay for undocumented immigrants and people who don't have health insurance. [00:22:38] And also, there is this provision, and it's not about undocumented immigrants, it's about people with asylum seekers and people with temporary protected status, et cetera, et cetera, but about their ability to get Medicaid. [00:22:49] So they're non citizens, they're not undocumented, they're not illegal. [00:22:52] Why even include that in a bill knowing that they're going to seize right upon that and use that to message? [00:22:58] I understand that. [00:23:00] He doesn't have much of an answer for that. [00:23:01] The answer is because I'm a moron, all right? [00:23:04] And the entire party is moronic. [00:23:08] And we've got Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer and myself, Hakeem Jeffries, minus the sombrero today. [00:23:13] And we don't know what we're doing. [00:23:15] And then we got socialists like Bernie Sanders and AOC that are scaring the living daylights out of us. [00:23:21] And so we are frozen. [00:23:24] In time, and we can't actually move, and so he just gets the upper hand over and over and over again. [00:23:29] But you know, he has to do this right now because otherwise, think of the consequences, you guys. [00:23:33] Do you really want your hard earned taxpayer dollars going to all kinds of other programs all around the world? [00:23:38] I don't think so, but this is what would happen, okay? [00:23:41] Think about California. [00:23:42] Fox did a report on this this morning. [00:23:44] Watch last year, the Golden State spent nearly 6.5 billion dollars on health insurance for migrants, and through a Medicaid loophole, has shifted most of the cost to the federal government. [00:23:56] Here to react to Fox and Friends Weekend co hosts Charlie Hurd and Griff Jenkins. [00:23:59] Part of that, Charlie, is that the Medicaid is reimbursed 50% by the federal government. [00:24:05] And when you go to a hospital, you have to be treated. [00:24:09] When a legal immigrant shows up, there's a pile of money for them to be treated. [00:24:16] Yeah, and of course, this is not a fluke either. [00:24:18] This is not just some one random thing happening in one state, like a crazy state like California. [00:24:25] This has been a central plank of the Democrat Party for years now. [00:24:28] Everybody now remembers that in 2020, during the Democrat primary, they were asked who here supports giving free health care to illegal aliens. [00:24:37] And every single Democrat running for the nomination, Put up his hand and said that they support that. [00:24:42] And of course, this also comes after we went through COVID, where Democrats led the efforts in all of these big cities, including New York City, spending billions of dollars, billions of taxpayers' dollars on free housing for illegals. [00:25:00] So this is not some random thing. [00:25:01] This is actually part of their intended, intentional policies. [00:25:08] It's true, right? [00:25:09] You think about it, and what about everyday Americans that are actually going to be suffering as a result of this? === Capitalist Approach to Healthcare (07:49) === [00:25:16] I mean, they're sitting there saying, What about me? [00:25:19] What about us? [00:25:20] Like, what about everyday folks that deserve to have some of this? [00:25:26] I mean, this is the question they're asking right now, and we've seen this actually all over TikTok, all over Twitter. [00:25:34] Let me see if I have a good one to show you right now because it's worth watching. [00:25:36] Hey, Dems, you want to know why your polls are so low? [00:25:39] Listen to this lady. [00:25:40] Well, the Democrats want to give away $1.4 billion of free motherfucking money. [00:25:44] To the immigrants for health care, and if not, if the other side don't agree with it, they're talking about shutting down the government. [00:25:51] Why the do you fight so hard for everybody but your own people? [00:25:58] What about us? [00:26:01] What about us? [00:26:02] That's what everybody's asking. [00:26:04] That's why your polls keep tanking. [00:26:06] It's true. [00:26:07] I mean, that is the crux of the issue here. [00:26:11] I mean, you're not standing up for the people that really count. [00:26:15] And when I, it's not that, you know, let's not be cruel. [00:26:18] Like we're not, we get it. [00:26:20] You know what? [00:26:20] We're a country of immigrants. [00:26:22] My ancestors came here from Ireland. [00:26:24] Everybody came here from somewhere. [00:26:27] But they came here legally. [00:26:29] All right. [00:26:29] And it wasn't easy. [00:26:31] I went through the sob story the other day about. [00:26:35] You know how my um grandmother died great, great grandmother, because we're talking about potato famine years but um she, she died and she had these two little kids. [00:26:46] Because you know like, coming over on those ships it wasn't easy and she, these two little kids and uh, the great great, great grandfather, had to go and work in the mill, the Amaskig mills up in New Hampshire, and so the kids got put in an orphanage and they um, my so my mom's mom let me get this right my mom's mom's mom, there we go. [00:27:08] Her grandmother grew up in an orphanage. [00:27:10] She said, you know, my grandmother never really like hugged us. [00:27:13] She didn't really know how to do that. [00:27:14] Her mom was really insistent on always hugging her kids. [00:27:18] So, you know, my mom was super affectionate because she wanted to break that tradition. [00:27:22] But when you grow up in an orphanage, right? [00:27:24] But that was part of what happened, okay? [00:27:26] So yeah, there was a system. [00:27:28] I mean, maybe not, you know, nobody wants to be in an orphanage, but, you know, you weren't like going to the Roosevelt Hotel either, right? [00:27:36] So I think that things were hard for immigrants that came here to this country, and I think things are still hard. [00:27:41] I don't think any of us are heartless. [00:27:45] This is where community and churches and all of this really can come into play. [00:27:49] But we're also realists. [00:27:52] You just can't keep inviting people here, okay? [00:27:54] If you don't have any kind of plan, well, they had a plan. [00:27:58] I mean, their plan was bring them one, bring them all. [00:28:01] And then we're just going to give them stuff. [00:28:05] And then they're going to want more stuff to be given. [00:28:08] A lot of them come from countries like Venezuela, for example, where they're used to that. [00:28:12] You just wait for somebody to hand something to you. [00:28:15] And then you can remake the United States of America into the socialist dream that AOC has somewhere in that very, very small brain of hers. [00:28:29] We don't want that. [00:28:31] We're not going to stand for it. [00:28:33] And neither is Donald Trump. [00:28:35] Meanwhile, as all of this happens, guess what? [00:28:37] Checks in the mail. [00:28:38] Checks in the mail. [00:28:40] We are looking at a big possible rebate scenario because of these tariffs. [00:28:47] He's quite a tease. [00:28:48] He went on to OAN and he suggested that, yeah, there could be some checks coming for everyday Americans, $1 to $2K, possibly. [00:28:57] Let's listen to an excerpt from the interview here. [00:29:00] Your tariffs are going to be over a trillion dollars a year, in my opinion. [00:29:04] We're going to do something. [00:29:05] We're looking at something where, number one, we're paying down debt because people have allowed the debt to go crazy. [00:29:12] But with growth, with the kind of growth we have now, the debt is very little, relatively speaking. [00:29:17] You grow yourself out of that debt. [00:29:19] It's not a question of paying it. [00:29:20] You grow yourself out, and the numbers are so much bigger than they ever were. [00:29:24] The numbers we have now are bigger than they ever were. [00:29:27] So, when you have 36 trillion dollars in debt a year ago or two years ago, and you have a lot less revenue coming in, then you have 37 or 38, it's not 38 yet, but it will be. [00:29:38] And the numbers are so much bigger, all of a sudden, 38 you're under levered, whereas for 36 you were highly levered. [00:29:46] We're not highly levered anymore. [00:29:48] Now, with that being said, we'll pay back debt, but we also might make a distribution to the people, almost like a dividend. [00:29:55] to the people of America. [00:29:56] How much are you thinking for that, sir? [00:29:58] Well, we're thinking maybe $1,000 to $2,000. [00:30:01] Be great. [00:30:02] Wow. [00:30:04] Wow. [00:30:06] So, Democrats, good luck. [00:30:09] I mean, he's totally stolen your playbook. [00:30:12] He's like actually merged two different things, right? [00:30:16] Like he's merged conservatism. [00:30:18] Well, I mean, you could say it's a form of populism, I guess, in a way. [00:30:22] conservatism and liberalism because here he is saying, I'm going to give money back to the people in the form of a dividend thanks to all the money we're suddenly earning as a country, thanks to the fact that I finally put in some tariffs to try and equalize the trade scenario. [00:30:38] I mean, wow. [00:30:40] It's like trying to take a capitalist approach, right, to make sure that more people are provided for. [00:30:46] It's like actually sort of wild. [00:30:47] It's like AOC, get your head around that. [00:30:51] Well, she can't get her head around anything, let's be honest. [00:30:53] This is going to be something that once again ingratiates him in terms of popularity. [00:31:00] Whether or not it happens, like, look, I'd say at this particular moment, I'm not sure. [00:31:06] I don't want to get your hopes up, but he's looking at it. [00:31:10] And actually, in fairness, he's been looking at it for a while. [00:31:13] He was asked about this back in April, I think. [00:31:16] And he said to that reporter, ooh, good question, by the way. [00:31:19] He just made some news there because he would like to be able to give a rebate. [00:31:23] Personal anecdote story. [00:31:25] I remember once being at the White House and he gave me a bowl like just like some little trinket you know it's like that they give you know from the gift shop or something. [00:31:34] It was worth very little, but you know he was like I have to be careful about this because uh, you know there's all these like tax rules and everything. [00:31:41] But he's like the thing is it's your money, it's your money. [00:31:44] It was like you know a 20 thing, you and there are rules like you can't accept anything over 50. [00:31:48] It was not over 50, but he, in doing this, like he said to me, he's like it's your taxpayer money anyway. [00:31:56] I think he has this sort of feeling like they're taxing and taxing and taxing, and he's very proud of the fact that he's paid very little taxes. [00:32:02] Right, because he's like i'm just smart, that's all. [00:32:05] I'm just smart, I figured my way around this stuff. [00:32:08] And he just doesn't fundamentally, in principle, like the idea of high taxation. [00:32:12] Neither do I. I'm guessing. [00:32:14] If you're watching this show and you're not one of the trolls out there, you don't like it either right, because you feel like hey, if I earned it, I ought to be able to keep it and we ought to be able to find more clever ways. [00:32:23] Maybe I mean heck, you know, the sales tax idea. [00:32:26] There's other ways that we could do this. [00:32:28] He would love nothing more than to abolish the income tax. [00:32:31] You heard Joy Reid talking about that, about how crazy it was. [00:32:34] I mean, who wouldn't love that, for goodness sakes? [00:32:36] I'm all for abolishing the income tax. [00:32:38] I mean, if you could run, but look, I come from a small place, right, in New Hampshire, live free or die in New Hampshire, where even Democrats do not believe in having a state income tax or even a state sales tax. [00:32:50] I mean, they got no taxes there, and somehow they still survive. [00:32:52] They managed to balance their budget every single year. [00:32:55] It's part of their state constitution, and it's a good thing. [00:33:00] Like, why can't we do that on a bigger scale? [00:33:01] Anyway, as I said to you, I just keep saying to myself, like, what are they thinking? === What Are They Thinking (07:12) === [00:33:06] What are they thinking, whether it's on the trans stuff or whether it's on this? [00:33:10] We're going to just provide health care for all. [00:33:13] And that's our answer to things. [00:33:15] Well, you wonder why you get the latest Quinnipiac poll rating showing such misery, I'll tell you. [00:33:20] Meanwhile, Letitia James. [00:33:22] Letitia! [00:33:22] We haven't talked about her in a while, right? [00:33:24] She's so hard up for cash. [00:33:26] Woman's out of money. [00:33:27] I mean, not only is New York out of money, but Letitia personally is out of money, which, you know, how do we say, is kind of fitting. [00:33:38] In light of what we all had to go through, right? [00:33:42] He's called me venomous. [00:33:43] We will fight back to your attempt to bring Trumpism to New York City. [00:33:48] He's called me disgraceful. [00:34:04] Called me radical. [00:34:05] Listen, we know he's crazy. [00:34:08] We know he doesn't have a sound mind. [00:34:22] He's called me a racist. [00:34:23] We've got to stand up to an administration which is too male, too pale, and too stale. [00:34:40] Too pale and too stale, too male, too pale and too stale. [00:34:46] Thank you. [00:34:48] Leticia, what do you do now? [00:34:51] What do you do now? [00:34:51] Because you don't have any money to fight your big legal case. [00:34:55] Well, she's turning to the Legal Defense FUND. [00:34:59] Amid this scrutiny from Donald Trump, which is worth knowing only because a lot of big fancy pants law firms demand that their young associates contribute to the legal defense fund, and I would just say um, be careful what you're getting into, because that legal defense fund actually is sending money in some peculiar places at times, like you know. [00:35:25] Uh, thank you, 200 watts studio. [00:35:28] You like the dress right? [00:35:30] You know, I figured you know the Grim Reaper. [00:35:31] We could do Catwoman over here. [00:35:34] Why not? [00:35:34] Right, it's october, we're getting into halloween. [00:35:36] Um anyway, she is struggling because she's got a very high priced lawyer, a very high priced lawyer. [00:35:45] His name is Abby Lowell. [00:35:47] And Abby Lowell is the guy who also represented Hunter Biden. [00:35:53] And so that gives you some perspective on his clout, right? [00:35:56] And Abby Lowell is charging a lot of money. [00:35:59] I mean, I'm guessing probably somewhere around maybe $5,000 an hour. [00:36:03] I don't know that. [00:36:05] I'm just, you know, and maybe I'm going, I'm factoring in inflation because in the old days, high priced attorneys were $1,000 an hour. [00:36:11] So I'm figuring. [00:36:12] He might be in the five grand an hour range. [00:36:14] Well, he's riding this one all the way to the bank as well, because you see, he is now out there soliciting on behalf of Letitia James at the Legal Defense Fund. [00:36:25] He's trying to drum up some support for her because, you know, he thinks that this is, of course, super duper necessary in light of all the victimhood that she is being put under. [00:36:35] Yeah. [00:36:35] Let me see if I have some more to show you on this. [00:36:38] I do, because I want to get to some of his quotes here. [00:36:41] If you look at the Gothamist, which was the first to report this. [00:36:45] And we, by the way, reported. [00:36:47] They were the first to report about she's out of money and she's going to the legal defense fund. [00:36:52] But if you look back in August, we were reporting on how the controller there in New York City was saying, wait a second, like, what are we doing? [00:37:01] They used a million dollars of taxpayer funds for an outside legal firm to work on her behalf, to represent her in a personal matter, which is totally outrageous. [00:37:11] Okay. [00:37:12] And then investigators were, oh, look at this. [00:37:16] $1,650 an hour for his work. [00:37:20] That was one of the attorneys. [00:37:21] That wasn't Lowell. [00:37:23] That wasn't Abby Lowell. [00:37:24] But apparently one of her attorneys from Munger, Tolles, and Olson, who was in charge of responding to some of the subpoenas, he was charging $1,650 an hour. [00:37:33] So I guess she cheaped out there, right? [00:37:36] Because Abby would have been more like $5,000. [00:37:39] Investigators in the Albany-based probe. [00:37:41] This is the one that's saying, wait a second, you violated a person's civil rights, the civil rights of DJT, Donald J. Trump because you were so malicious in your prosecution going after him. [00:37:56] And so that's a case that they've also brought against her. [00:37:59] And then the NRA, I guess, also has a case additionally. [00:38:03] I mean, she's got a lot of legal challenges right now. [00:38:07] And I don't think anyone should feel bad for her for two seconds because she clearly brought it on. [00:38:12] Her election campaign and reelection campaign was all about going after Trump. [00:38:17] She's been soliciting now with texts and emails, anyone who's on her list to try and get more money to, quote, go. [00:38:24] toe to toe with Donald Trump and his allies who believe they're above the law. [00:38:29] So the Legal Defense Fund, the reason why this is of interest, they're supposed to be a little different. [00:38:34] As Gothamus writes, quote, donors won't be subject to state laws that limit campaign contributions and require public disclosure. [00:38:45] Oh, so that means, you know, Soros or anybody else with deep pockets, right, can just give a ton of money to the Legal Defense Fund, probably get a tax credit for it, And then you know what? [00:39:00] Do you know? [00:39:01] She gets her high-priced, more expensive attorney, Abel Loll, working around the clock. [00:39:07] So he'll do well out of all this. [00:39:09] New York City has regulations for legal defense funds set up by elected officials, including mayor Eric Adams, but there is no parallel. [00:39:18] They write for state officials. [00:39:21] The Democratic Attorney General's Association said contributions would be routed through a 529 527 forgive me organization and will be disclosed in an annual filing. [00:39:31] That kind of organization can accept un limited donations from individuals, corporations and labor unions in order to influence politics, appointments and elections. [00:39:42] Now money from the funds will go to cover her fees, or rather Abby's fees, the fees incurred by Abby Lowell's law firm. [00:39:51] A spokesperson they write for. [00:39:53] The attorney general's office says James was declining to tap up the 10 million dollar appropriation included in the state budget for officials subject to retaliatory investigations. [00:40:03] You see she started to realize that that had a little sink around it. [00:40:07] Remember she wanted 10 million dollars from New York taxpayers to cover her personal legal bills. [00:40:16] Think of the craziness of that. === Attorney General Mortgage Scandal (03:22) === [00:40:19] I mean, there she was trying to bankrupt Donald Trump. [00:40:21] I mean, we do have an Eighth Amendment that basically doesn't allow for that, right? [00:40:27] The Eighth Amendment, which says you cannot have these crazy, crazy punishments like she tried to inflict. [00:40:33] I mean, look, or the Fifth Amendment, right? [00:40:38] Nor be deprived of life, liberty, or property without due process of law, nor shall private property be taken for public use without just compensation. [00:40:45] In other words, the government cannot just take your private property. [00:40:50] And that was one of the things they were doing. [00:40:52] And then the Eighth Amendment was like, you can't have just crazy, wacky punishments that are not sort of in line with the alleged crime. [00:41:01] So that's why her case got thrown out of court, as I told you it would. [00:41:05] And she's appealing it, of course. [00:41:06] And, you know, she's in tough shape. [00:41:09] She's in tough shape because allegedly, She went to Virginia and took out a mortgage and said it was her primary residence while being the attorney general in New York. [00:41:19] I mean, you can't make that stuff up. [00:41:20] She says, Oh, no, no, nothing to see here, just Claire Claire. [00:41:23] Donald Trump said that he wanted, he said that I was, he called me all kinds of names. [00:41:28] And he basically directed the Department of Justice to investigate my affairs. [00:41:35] And they're using mortgage fraud as the vehicle upon which they're investigating myself, Adam Schiff. [00:41:42] Miss Cook, Lisa Cook, and countless others. [00:41:46] And it is most of it, as you know, is frivolous, it's baseless, because in order to prove mortgage fraud, one has to prove intent. [00:41:56] And that's a very high standard, a very high bar to meet. [00:42:00] I don't know. [00:42:04] I mean, because it happened a few times, didn't it? [00:42:07] What about in New York? [00:42:09] Oh, yeah, it did happen in New York. [00:42:10] You see, you tried to say that you had a home with five levels, was it, instead of four? [00:42:16] Or vice versa, actually four levels instead of five, because it will qualify you for some better kind of mortgage. [00:42:21] I mean, it's actually caused Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae to leave the state of New York. [00:42:26] That's just coming out today. [00:42:27] News that Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae are closing their New York offices because of Attorney General Letitia James and her, quote, corrupt actions. [00:42:39] Woo! [00:42:40] Okay, so this is interesting. [00:42:41] According to, so this news is, of course, just out today. [00:42:45] And apparently sources at the federal Housing Authority, or FHFA, I should say, are quoted saying basically that, you know, they're shutting down. [00:42:56] Here's what they told Fox Digital We are shutting down the two New York offices for Fannie and Freddie as a result of Letitia James's corrupt and dangerous business practices in the state. [00:43:10] So, federal mortgage offices live in New York over Letitia. [00:43:13] They say they'll still actually do business there, but they're not physically going to be present there anymore because they get an attorney general who's clearly. if these allegations are proven to be true, rather corrupt. [00:43:28] Hmm. [00:43:29] You know who else has some challenges? [00:43:32] Some legal challenges, shall we say right now. [00:43:34] That would be one, La Monica MacGyver. [00:43:37] La Monica. [00:43:37] I love saying that name because, you know, who's named La Monica? === Federal Offices Shut Down (10:40) === [00:43:41] You're usually Monica, right? [00:43:43] But in this case, we got La Monica. [00:43:46] You got to put her up on a big pedestal. [00:43:48] Look at all of her. [00:43:49] La Monica. [00:43:51] So La Monica MacGyver. [00:43:52] out of Newark, New Jersey, a junior congressperson who suddenly rose to fame because she was caught in a brawl. [00:44:00] Yeah, right outside the Newark detention facility where she said she was just doing her duty, her congressional duty. [00:44:06] And somehow part of the congressional duty included allegedly swiping one of the ICE officials. [00:44:15] And so now she has a new sort of excuse for why this all went down. [00:44:20] And she's citing some new body cam footage that I'm going to show you in just a moment, which actually I don't think it's her. [00:44:26] To first base at all in any way, shape or form, but let's remember, let's jog your memory, because it's just so much fun to watch. [00:44:33] The lady in red won La Monica Macgiver herself. [00:44:38] Yeah, Woohoohoo. [00:45:01] Okay. [00:45:02] That was it. [00:45:03] Did you guys see that? [00:45:04] Like, you know, good right hook, right? [00:45:07] Listen, these allegations are actually really serious because they carry up to 17 years in prison and they're not going away. [00:45:15] She's been indicted. [00:45:16] And so now she has legal costs. [00:45:18] Of course, she's trying to fundraise on it as well. [00:45:20] She is now going to court saying that because there's this new body cam footage that was just released by the judge the other day, This somehow gets her off the hook. [00:45:30] I'm going to show you the footage. [00:45:32] MSNBC is like, woo, we have a story. [00:45:35] You don't, actually, because all the footage shows is the ICE officers doing their job. [00:45:40] And part of their job is calling the higher-ups, right? [00:45:44] Because they don't want to just run out there and arrest the mayor of New York, Newark, New Jersey. [00:45:49] They know that that's actually going to cause a commotion. [00:45:52] And so they're seeking approval. [00:45:54] They make the phone call. [00:45:55] And she's using this phone call to say, oh, well, then I was justified. [00:46:01] To get in the middle of the brawl. [00:46:03] I'm like, how are these two things related? [00:46:05] I mean, they're like doing their job, they're calling and seeking approval. [00:46:08] What does that have to do with you deciding to, you know, right hook, allegedly, some poor ICE officer? [00:46:16] But let's watch it together. [00:46:18] Rachel Maddow, like, just salivating over this, but there's nothing to salivate over. [00:46:23] I'm sorry, but take a peek. [00:46:26] Well, thanks to body cam footage released by a federal court just this afternoon, we now know that the mayor of Newark was right. [00:46:34] When he said that that arrest did not arise organically from anything that happened on the ground at that ICE facility, he said at the time that his arrest appeared to have been ordered specifically by top Trump officials in Washington. [00:46:49] Well, now today we can see with our own eyes that that appears to be true. [00:46:54] No, I got it. [00:46:55] I got it. [00:46:55] We're taking them right now. [00:46:56] All right. [00:46:57] Let me just. [00:46:57] Let me talk. [00:47:00] Okay. [00:47:00] Yeah, no problem. [00:47:00] I'm going to take them right now. [00:47:02] Okay. [00:47:02] That's good. [00:47:03] Okay. [00:47:04] Okay, so that's the line, right? [00:47:29] He said, Okay, guys, listen to me. [00:47:31] We're going to walk out there. [00:47:32] Now, don't forget what had been going on like all the chaos that was going on. [00:47:35] They wouldn't leave the place, they were not allowed to be there, they didn't have an appointment, they were demanding to get in. [00:47:40] There were all these protests that had been going on for days, right? [00:47:44] I mean, nothing turned into the spirits of La Monica until that moment happened. [00:47:48] But this had been going on for days, and they were getting sick of it. [00:47:51] And finally, the administration is like, well, yeah, you know what? [00:47:54] You can go forward and arrest him. [00:47:56] So they're just doing their job, right? [00:47:58] Like, that's like following a chain of command. [00:48:00] Again, go back, listen to what he says. [00:48:03] Walk out of the gates. [00:48:03] I'm going to place the mayor in handcuffs, okay? [00:48:06] We are arresting the mayor right now. [00:48:07] He's part of the Deputy Attorney General of the United States. [00:48:07] Anyone that gets their way, I need you guys to give me a perimeter so I can help them and get them on there. [00:48:20] If you have body cams, turn them on. [00:48:34] Okay? [00:48:45] So, I think that the bottom line here is, and what we have learned is that they were doing their job. [00:48:55] She decided to get a little rowdy, and she's now saying because they were authorized to go and arrest the mayor, that that somehow clears her. [00:49:06] I don't understand how that would clear her. [00:49:08] From this. [00:49:09] I'm sorry. [00:49:12] Look at, watch. [00:49:13] Look at that. [00:49:16] Woo! [00:49:18] And then there's another. [00:49:21] You see that? [00:49:24] I really don't understand. [00:49:27] Okay, that was the one. [00:49:28] This is a biggie, guys. [00:49:29] Okay, that one, see where she's like overhead? [00:49:32] And she, this is not how a congressional person should act. [00:49:37] Oh, okay, so she's saying that this is in her official duties. [00:49:40] This is in her official duties and that she was arrested in her official duties because somehow the Trump administration, you know, ratcheted things up when they announced that they were going to arrest the mayor. [00:49:51] And the fact that they put the body cams on, like, of course they do. [00:49:54] Like, what do you think? [00:49:56] Of course they do. [00:49:56] This is what happens. [00:49:58] They're going to put their body cameras on. [00:49:59] So LaMonica, you're out in left field yet again. [00:50:03] And I realize you want to say it's just because, you know, you're a target. [00:50:07] You're a target. [00:50:08] You're not a target, lady. [00:50:10] You really aren't. [00:50:12] You're just a well, I don't even know what to say because to me, a member of Congress does not go out and try to allegedly swipe at ICE officers. [00:50:28] Like, that's just crossing like a line that one doesn't cross, right? [00:50:33] So they broke out in song on Monday. [00:50:37] A few days prior to that, though, the video was a lot rougher. [00:50:40] Another showdown outside that ICE detention center in New Jersey. [00:50:43] Protesters, including Democratic lawmakers, members of the clergy there, protest the facility. [00:50:48] Now, a couple days in the making, and you see that they were there every single day. [00:50:53] They wouldn't go away and that's why the decision was made to say okay, we're going to escalate this because they are not following orders. [00:51:02] And that's when then she escalated it, you know, getting into the crowd trying to mix it up. [00:51:06] So I want to go to Andy Mccarty because she's saying well, this was part of my congressional duty, like I had a duty to be there to check in on again, because they're so worried about the illegal migrants that have committed crimes That they have to go to the prison where they're holding them, because they got to worry about the criminals that are here illegally, right? [00:51:26] Instead of worrying about the people in Newark, New Jersey, she's out there caring about them, fighting, literally fighting for them. [00:51:32] And so this is Andy McCarty, really brilliant legal scholar who is on Fox here back when this happened in May. [00:51:40] And he's saying she had no reason to be there. [00:51:43] And doing that, that's not part of your congressional oversight duty. [00:51:46] You can make an appointment like anyone else. [00:51:48] Arthur's with us to tell us who's right, who's wrong, and all this and where it goes from here. [00:51:51] Andy, good morning to you, and thank you. [00:51:53] For your bill. [00:51:54] Yeah, AOC says Tom Holman, Secretary Nome, you're the problem here. [00:52:00] Here we go. [00:52:01] Watch. [00:52:02] If anyone's breaking the law in this situation, it's not members of Congress, it's the Department of Homeland Security. [00:52:09] It's people like Tom Holman and Secretary Christy Nome. [00:52:12] You lay a finger on them, we are going to have a problem. [00:52:15] Okay, so legally, who's in the right here? [00:52:17] Do the lawmakers have the authority to go into this facility this facility or do they not? [00:52:24] No, they absolutely don't have the authority to go in without the approval of the executive branch. [00:52:30] The enforcement of the federal immigration laws is a federal responsibility. [00:52:34] Congress has oversight of it, but members of Congress who are not acting as Congress, they're acting as individuals, they don't have any more right to obstruct the operations and certainly to create situations that endanger And in some cases, reportedly, have resulted in assaults on federal officials. [00:52:54] They don't have any power to do that. [00:52:58] Yeah. [00:52:59] Okay. [00:52:59] So keep that straight. [00:53:01] She was not acting within the scope of her duties, as much as she's going to try that. [00:53:05] And now she's going to try and use this other footage to say, oh, well, you know, this clears me. [00:53:10] It doesn't clear you of anything, LaMonica. [00:53:11] You're looking at 17 years in the Slammer, okay? [00:53:13] That is the reality of where you are right now. [00:53:15] I'm sorry for you, but you know what? [00:53:17] You know, maybe we got to restrain oneself. [00:53:21] Lady in red. [00:53:22] You got to restrain oneself when you get swept up in the moment because you know you got to fight for all those illegal criminals. [00:53:30] I mean, again, going back to the sombrero hat trick that Donald Trump put out there, which you know it's Friday. [00:53:38] Why not? [00:53:39] Do I have it? [00:53:39] I mean, the sombrero hat trick that he put out there, which kind of left everybody saying, Yeah, that actually makes a lot of sense. [00:53:49] Look, guys, there's no way to sugarcoat it. [00:53:52] Nobody likes Democrats anymore. [00:53:54] We have no voters left because of all of our woke trans. [00:53:57] Not even black people want to vote for us anymore. [00:53:59] Even Latinos hate us. [00:54:01] So we need new voters. [00:54:03] And if we give all these illegal aliens free health care, we might be able to get them on our side so they can vote for us. [00:54:10] They can't even speak English. [00:54:12] So they won't realize we're just a bunch of woke pieces of sh, you know, at least for a while until they learn English and they realize they hate us too. === Nobody Likes Democrats Anymore (03:12) === [00:54:21] Oh my goodness. [00:54:25] Oh my goodness. [00:54:26] Right. [00:54:26] You know, so their lies are being exposed. [00:54:29] Even CNN knows it. [00:54:30] They took Hakeem Jeffries down. [00:54:32] I mean, it's getting really interesting. [00:54:34] I just got to say, it's really getting interesting. [00:54:36] And as for LaMonica, I'm sorry, this prison gamble, this idea that, you know, somehow she's going to avoid prison time by highlighting the fact that the ICE officers were following a chain of command. [00:54:48] Good luck, lady. [00:54:49] You may need to get yourself Abby Lowell. [00:54:51] I think you may need to go to legal. defense fund too, just like Leticia James and get yourself a more high priced attorney because you're going to need to come up with a whole better argument than that. [00:55:00] Some good news for the DOJ, those ISAPs, remember the ones that were like out there telling everybody we could go after ICE officers in light of some of the horrible things that have happened recently? [00:55:14] Those are coming down. [00:55:15] So that was a bit of a victory. [00:55:17] I wanted to mention that before we ended the day. [00:55:20] But listen, I may be back on the weekend because all of this is just moving so. [00:55:24] fast and you know I can't stay away. [00:55:26] You know I can't. [00:56:26] I'm going to bring it back on Halloween because I'm just going to put a little mask on, and then I can go as Catwoman. [00:56:30] Yeah, I do it every year. [00:56:31] I have only one costume. [00:56:33] Well, I have an alternative costume, and that's Wonder Woman. [00:56:36] But it's usually too cold. [00:56:38] Okay. [00:56:38] I can move to Florida to be Wonder Woman. [00:56:40] So Catwoman kind of works. [00:56:41] It's so good to see. [00:56:44] I love all these comments. [00:56:45] You guys are so enthusiastic and you're just fantastic. [00:56:50] And I've grown to like, unfortunately, I don't get to see you. [00:56:53] I don't know what your names are in some cases, Peace of My Mind and Cat Crazy. [00:56:57] But Leslie, I know you. [00:57:00] So thank you. [00:57:01] And Don, I know you. [00:57:02] But I love all of you guys here. [00:57:04] And I look forward to us getting together every day. [00:57:07] And we are going to be all over that La Monica story, you know. [00:57:09] I mean, if nothing else, so I can say La Monica. [00:57:13] I'm going to start singing. [00:57:14] I get a singer name. [00:57:15] Like, it feels like it should be sung. [00:57:17] It feels like very Italian to me for some reason. [00:57:21] Operatic. [00:57:22] Anyway, good to see you on this Friday. [00:57:25] We will continue the conversation over the weekend and back here live. [00:57:28] Make sure you subscribe to the Trish Regan channel right here on YouTube and on Spotify and Rumble.
