Donald Trump secures an unconditional discharge in his New York election case, which Judge Juan Mershon ruled lacked jurisdiction, prompting Trump to label the trial a "political witch hunt." Regan speculates Trump may replace Justices Alito and Sotomayor on the Supreme Court while addressing TikTok's forced divestment of Chinese assets due to espionage fears. The episode also critiques LA Mayor Karen Bass for fleeing wildfires and highlights Meta's removal of DEI programs under Biden pressure, concluding that these events signal a significant shift in judicial power and corporate governance amid ongoing political polarization. Political Witch Hunt Ends00:14:40
Hello, everyone.
Welcome to the big show.
I am Trish Regan, and we got a bunch of breaking news to get to on this Friday.
Wow.
I mean, this is huge.
This is huge.
We can finally sort of say we're putting to bed, for now anyway, these legal cases against one Donald Trump, the newly elected president of the United States, who's going to be taking over in, well, you know, it's coming down to hours now, not just days, but hours.
So, sort of, kind of ending, and yet not entirely, with the Supreme Court kicking it back to Judge Marshall, Judge Marshall making his ruling, and then, of course, Trump speaking out to the courtroom, suggesting here that yes, it's over, but not entirely.
I think he's getting the last word.
It's been a political witch hunt.
It was done to damage my reputation so that I'd lose the election, and obviously that didn't work.
And the people of our country got to see this firsthand because they watched the case in your courtroom.
They got to see this firsthand, and then they voted, and I won and got the largest number of votes by far of any Republican candidate in history.
And won, as you know, all seven swing states, won conclusively all seven swing states, and won the popularity, the popular vote, by millions and millions of votes.
And they've been watching you try.
And I think it's a disgrace to the system.
I was under a gag order.
I'm the first president in history that was under a gag order where I couldn't talk about aspects of the case that are very important.
I guess I'm still under, so probably I won't do it now.
I assume I'm still under a gag order.
But the fact is that I'm totally innocent.
I did nothing wrong.
In the meantime, I won the election in a massive landslide, and the people of this country understand what's gone on.
This has been a weaponization of government.
They call it lawfare.
Never happened to any extent like this, but never happened in our country before.
And I'd just like to explain that I was treated very, very unfairly.
And I thank you very much.
Wow, wow.
Quite a summary there.
From the newly elected president of the United States.
It was pretty crazy, just everything that went on.
It is, it was lawfare.
And I have an interesting take on this.
So I know we're all mad at Amy Coney Barrett, right?
I get it.
Because it seems like the tactful thing to do would be to send the newly elected president of the United States into office without having the baggage of this, you know, tarnished brand in some way, shape, or form.
They wanted to be able to say he was a convicted felon, right?
You know that, I know that.
And yet, and yet, the one good thing about this, glass half full here, is that it's an opportunity to actually fix things so that they don't happen like this again.
If, for example, the Supreme Court had decided, okay, Judge Mershon, you're crazy, blah, blah, blah, blah, and they didn't allow any kind of sentencing to stand, then you would have been at risk of everybody saying, oh, this was just political.
It's because he's got the court stacked with his.
People and he put Amy in there, and that's why she voted for him.
Now it's actually going to go back to the Court of Appeals, and so it's going to go through the proper legal process.
The reality is, and I mean this, this case never should have been brought.
I'm not a legal scholar, I just cover the economy and some politics and a few other things, right?
I'm not a legal scholar, but I can tell you I know enough about a few things in the world to know that this case should not have been brought.
You know why?
They didn't have the jurisdiction.
You know who else knew that?
Alvin Bragg.
He knew he didn't have the jurisdiction, and yet they did this anyway.
They did it.
Anyway, and that's just disgusting to me, and it's threatening to the entire system.
And so, what I like about this is that it's going to go back through the process.
Maybe it comes to the Supreme Court again eventually, but let's get it through the legal process and have it shot down by a lower court as it should be.
More coming up on that, but first, a quick shout out to one of our great sponsors here on the Tushregan Show Grand Canyon University, a private Christian university in beautiful Phoenix, Arizona.

So, this is a big deal.
Ladies and gentlemen, Donald Trump, Donald Trump out speaking in the courtroom.
Let's just listen in moments ago saying, ha ha, you know what?
I did win.
I did win after all.
And won, as you know, all seven swing states, won conclusively all seven swing states.
And won the popularity, the popular vote, by millions and millions of votes.
And they've been watching your trial.
In the meantime, I won the election.
A massive landslide, and the people of this country understand what's gone on.
This has been a weaponization of government.
They call it lawfare.
Never happened to any extent like this, but never happened in our country before.
And I'd just like to explain that I was treated very, very unfairly.
And I thank you very much.
You know, he was.
He was treated incredibly unfairly.
And the thing is, we can't have anything like that ever happen again.
Here's Mershon.
Mershon reading his.
Unconditional discharge.
This court has determined that the only lawful sentence that permits entry of a judgment of conviction without encroaching upon the highest office in the land is an unconditional discharge, which the New York State Legislature has determined is a lawful and permissible sentence for the crime of falsifying business records in the first degree.
Therefore, at this time, I impose that sentence to cover all 34 counts.
Sir, I wish you godspeed as you assume your second term in office.
Thank you.
You know what?
I want to go to Charlie.
Well, first, I'll talk about Trump's reaction to this.
He put something out on True Social, saying the radical Democrats have lost another pathetic on American witch hunt after spending tens of millions of dollars, wasting six years of obsessive work that should have been spent on protecting New Yorkers from violent, rampant crime that is destroying the city and state, coordinating with the Biden Harris Department of Injustice and lawless weaponization, and bringing completely baseless, illegal, and fake charges against your 45th and now 40th.
Seventh president, me, I was given an unconditional discharge.
That result alone proves that, as all legal scholars and experts have said, there is no case.
There never was a case, and the whole scam fully deserves to be dismissed.
The real jury, the American people, have spoken.
Yeah, that's right.
You know what?
America elected him, like overwhelmingly elected him.
No matter how they try and slice it over on CNN and MSNBC, here's the reality.
Okay, he got the popular vote and he got the electoral college.
So deal with that, okay, guys?
Here's Jonathan Turley saying, you know what, this is not a criminal case.
It never was a criminal case.
It never should have been brought in the first place.
I agree.
Here he is on Fox.
Brilliant, by the way, legal scholar at American University.
The fact is that this is not a criminal case, in my view, because there's no underlying crime.
Bragg took a dead misdemeanor, zapped it back into life as this pile of felonies.
He essentially trialed, he essentially tried a federal, a series of federal crimes that the Department of Justice rejected.
And he was only able to do that by this enabling judge.
And I was not nearly as harsh on Juan Mershon until I sat in his courtroom.
I was quite shocked with his rulings.
I thought that they were well outside the strike zone and showed a lot of bias.
But now, the good news is that this case can be appealed in whole and those decisions can be reviewed.
Yes, exactly.
And they need to be reviewed.
And that's my point.
You know, as much as, and believe me, my temper flared last night when I saw the news, Amy Coney Barrett.
I'm like, what the heck?
You know, what do we need her for, right?
What's that about?
And then I just took a step back and I thought, you know what?
This does actually need to go through the court process because this should not happen to anyone.
It should never happen to any person ever.
And you're going to basically discourage people from being in politics.
We were running some kind of crazy, crazy, crazy system.
And I think, bottom line, yeah, I'm looking at your comments in real time.
James Rourke, you're right.
Letitia James is next.
I'm going to get to that because.
We're going to figure out exactly what went down.
Don't forget, this judge was so out over his skis.
Remember him telling the jury, just pick a crime.
Doesn't really matter what you think he's guilty of, just whether or not you think he's guilty.
I mean, can you imagine that?
The entire legal system, frankly, the entire bedrock of our country and our foundation, our capitalism, and all these things that we value was just put on the line.
Jonathan Turley said that back at that time as.
What happened in that courtroom became superfluous because of those instructions.
Some of us were hoping for a hung jury because we hoped that the jury might.
Redeem the New York legal system, which is one of the greatest legal systems in the world.
And these last few weeks have left many of us shocked as to what we saw in that courtroom.
But that was not going to happen after the instructions were finalized.
And I wrote a column after I saw the instructions saying it had the feel of a canned hunt, you know, where you can shoot game in a small space.
The space was very small for the defense to maneuver.
I mean, So here we are, ladies and gentlemen, and Donald Trump's going to the White House.
The American people said, We're not buying this.
We don't like this.
We don't like what you have done.
And not only are we sending him to the White House, but we're sending him with his team, his team, including one Pam Bondi, who has made it clear.
Here she is almost two years ago with my former colleague, Sean Hannity.
And she's saying, Hey, watch out because we're coming for you because you can't allow this kind of lawfare.
And this witch hunt to continue.
Watch, Pam.
Something else that's going to happen, Sean, is when Republicans take back the White House, and we will be back in there in 18 months or less.
You know what's going to happen?
The Department of Justice, the prosecutors will be prosecuted, the bad ones.
The investigators will be investigated because the deep state last term for President Trump, they were hiding in the shadows.
But now they have a spotlight on them, and they can all be investigated, and the House needs to be cleaned out.
Because now we know who most of them are.
There's a record of it, and we can clean house next term.
And that's what has to happen.
You better believe it.
And it's going to happen.
Okay, so he's not about retribution, but I think he is about fairness.
And we can't have a world in which people can't run for office because they're fearful that if they're on the wrong side of the political aisle, they're going to get shut down.
Now, this stands for both parties, okay?
This is a nonpartisan statement.
What went down with Donald Trump was so outrageous and so out of control.
Mark Zuckerberg's even talking about it.
He just went on to Joe Rogan.
To say, hey, you know what?
The Biden administration was on our tail.
We've never seen anything like it.
And there are records, and we can show you the records.
Some of them are already out there.
But they weren't allowed to say, you know, or allow people to express themselves freely about anything on Facebook because the Biden administration was just running everybody over.
Think about that.
Letitia James, oh, trying to talk a good game before the election.
I will not fear Donald Trump.
I have steel in my backbone.
And the reality is, I will not allow this.
Um, a person, Donald Trump, who unfortunately is a broken man, um, to get in the way of progress and to separate us.
Okay, so Leticia James, meet Pam Bondi.
Something else that's going to happen, Sean, is when Republicans take back the White House, and we will be back in there in 18 months or less.
You know what's going to happen?
The Department of Justice, the prosecutors will be prosecuted, the bad ones, the investigators will be investigated.
Okay, so Letitia, you know what?
If I were you, I would be a little bit scared.
I mean, I know you got steel in your backbones and all that good stuff, lady, but you know what?
I do think that you're going to be in a little bit of trouble.
Remember what Trump attorney Mike Davis had to say about how your fat could go straight into prison?
Let me just say this to Big Tish James, the New York Attorney General.
I dare you, I dare you to try to continue your lawfare against.
President Trump in his second term, because listen here, sweetheart, we're not messing around this time, and we will put your fat ass in prison for conspiracy against rights.
Okay, there he said it.
So I didn't have to, right?
But you get it.
He's going to put her fat into prison as soon as she tries to do something outrageous, which surely she's going to do.
I mean, she's proud of it.
This is how she exists.
Don't forget, she's prepared.
Rule of Law Fight Back00:04:01
Preparing for this, she didn't think Donald Trump would win, you know, not after trying to bankrupt the guy to the tune of half a billion dollars.
I mean, it's so outrageous because she disagrees with the valuation of Mar a Lago.
Letitia James, yeah, like I'm going to trust you with anything financial.
You're just wasting taxpayer dollars going after Trump, right?
And she's gearing up for the next round.
Watch.
And lastly, I congratulate the president elect Donald Trump.
And if possible, We will work with his administration, but we will not compromise our values or our integrity or our principles.
We did not expect this result, but we are prepared to respond to this result.
And my office has been preparing for several months because we've been here before, we faced this challenge before.
And we use the rule of law to fight back.
Oh my God.
No, you don't use the rule of law.
In any kind of helpful way for society, you use the rule of law as a weapon.
And that tells us, you know what?
The rule of law needs a little working around or a little investigation into in terms of the people that are trying to abuse and manipulate those laws, including one Letitia James, including Alvin Bragg, including this Judge Mersarn, who had a clear political bias.
His daughter makes her living off of sending emails saying, hey, won't you donate to help the legal fund?
Against Donald Trump.
Unbelievable stuff.

You know, it's part of my portfolio.
I'm a big believer in investing in gold to help iron out all my concerns about inflation, of which I still have plenty.
I really do.
You saw the jobs report today.
It was actually pretty good.
So this means, you know, maybe the Fed won't move on rates.
It's good if they don't move on rates because if they do move on rates, then we're back in this inflation.
Saga that we really need to end at some point.
Anyway, inflation's been out of control, but the one way you can try and hedge it is by looking at something like gold.
You can get up to $15,000 in free silver.
Call me at 1 844 495 1115 or just text my name, Trish, to 65532.
The reality is that Trump now has the ultimate victory.
He's going back to the White House.
Think of that.
Back to the White House, in spite of everything, in spite of everything that they tried to throw at him.
And they threw a lot, ladies and gentlemen.
You know, you've been here with me on the front lines of it.
If you're just joining the show, thank you.
Make sure you subscribe, like, share, all that good stuff.
But we've been covering this day in and day out, and it's outrageous everything that has happened.
And he won, in spite of it all.
He won.
And you know what that means?
Not only is he going back to the White House with the opportunity to send in Pam Bondi, who's taken no prisoners to figure out just exactly what went down, he's actually going to have the chance to appoint one, two, maybe three new justices to the Supreme Court of the United States of America, thereby cementing his legacy in ways that, gosh darn it, the left is terrified of.
Here's a CBS News reporter who covers the Supreme Court predicting who's going to be the next to go on the court.
I'll go back to the court.
I think that Donald Trump will probably get his fourth nomination to the Supreme Court either this year or maybe next year.
Because someone retires.
Justice Samuelito.
Justice Samuelito.
He was nominated, took the bench in 2006 after nearly two decades on the court.
So she thinks it's going to be Samuelito.
TikTok Education Partnership00:06:58
What do you think?
Curious in the comments, let me know.
I think it could be Sotomayor.
One or the other, I think he's going to get both positions.
So you're going to get Sotomayor, you're going to get Sam Alito, you're probably going to get somebody else, two or three Supreme Court justices.
Think of that in terms of lasting effect.
It is incredible.
I mean, it really, really, really is incredible.
And I kind of love it.
Lots going on today.
TikTok, ladies and gentlemen, TikTok may be up for sale or they got to somehow divest all their Chinese assets if they want to stay in the U.S. Supreme Court made this decision coming out today.
And so now everybody's gearing up for a chance to bite at the apple here.
We'll see.
We will see whether or not it's going to come to fruition.
Donald Trump had been asking the Supreme Court to maybe take a step back and wait for them to come out to some kind of resolution that wouldn't involve them having to sell off all their assets.
But, you know, he wanted some kind of political solution.
But right now, increasingly, it looks like.
The Supreme Court really doesn't think that this is necessarily the best option for America.
You know, I have mixed feelings on this because I don't think it's entirely free speech.
I think a lot of these companies try and say that they are all about free speech, but I'm not really sure that that's entirely the case.
This is Chinese owned, don't forget.
And I know I have a TikTok account, what gets through, what doesn't get through, what gets banned, what doesn't get banned.
And it always causes me to raise an eyebrow.
Anyway, Kevin O'Leary.
I think he's Canadian.
I don't know if this will work, right?
He's a foreigner too.
He's stepping up to the plate saying he'd love to buy it.
And we want to.
And then at midday, 12 05, Trump will be who we have to work with to close the deal in the months ahead.
So I wanted to let him know, as well as others in his cabinet, that we're doing this and we're going to need their help.
Well, that's going to be a very interesting story to watch.
I want to go back to that, but I want to.
So, what really happened?
Basically, there were arguments that were heard for and against banning TikTok.
And the US government is expressing these concerns that China has control over TikTok and has for years.
And so they're saying, look, Beijing could really exploit this platform and use it to collect data on individuals, so for an espionage function, as well as spread disinformation or propaganda against American interests.
And so that's kind of an interesting.
Thought, I mean, you know, that's where it starts to get really tricky.
I will tell you from personal experience, I think ByteDance, which is the company that runs TikTok, does do some massaging on its own, right?
I mean, I just know because apparently, even if I just talk about tariffs, I'm in violation of some kind of hate speech there on TikTok, right?
I boring talk about tariffs and somehow, whew, you'd think that was something else entirely.
So, I suspect there's like some kind of mandate, right?
And there's no appeal process.
You can't do anything.
I mean, if you've probably seen it on Meta, I've seen it there too, right?
So I feel good over here on YouTube.
I feel good on places like Rumble and Twitter.
I mean, X. Think of what Elon Musk has done for X.
So, yeah, I mean, if it's actually freedom of information, it's freedom of information.
But if it's not really free, if it's going to be controlled by a state actor, and you know China wants to control everything.
Then, where does that leave us?
It leaves us at a disservice.
So, I think ultimately what you're going to see here is that TikTok is not going to have the same rights to the First Amendment that an American owned company would have.
This is why Donald Trump tried to arrange a deal with Larry Ellison, his buddy who started Oracle, multi, multi billionaire.
Larry Ellison wanted to buy TikTok.
That deal didn't happen.
So, Trump was very, very against TikTok until, well, you know, he thought it was helping him in the campaign.
And now, given also that one of his buddies and campaign donors, Owns a large stake in it.
I think he's trying to find some kind of solution that would work for everyone.
We want a solution that would work for everyone, right?
We don't want to be in this standoff with China.
We don't want the Chinese controlling one of our major social media companies.
We do want freedom of expression.
We do want all.
I say, let's have X buy it, right?
Because I trust Elon.
We can have X buy it.
What do you guys think?
It's going to be something.
I'll tell you that.
It's really, really, really something.
I would say that there's been such an Indoctrination going on over the last several years, but really over the last couple of decades, if you think about it really and truly, this stuff just didn't come out of the blue.
And it's one of the reasons why I'm really proud to tell you about a partnership.
I think I mentioned this yesterday, but I'm going to tell you again about my partnership that I now have with Herzog Foundation.
It's all about advancing Christian values and Christian education.
You know, I've certainly been talking for years about how our nation's public schools are just a disaster and how they've been captured by these progressive, really destructive, in my view.
Ideologies teaching things to kids that really directly contradict the values of so many American Christian families.
I mean, especially if you're Christian, right?
Because they don't like it.
They don't like the Christians.
They don't like the religion.
And that's just for small minded people, as they'd probably say.
So, for those of you that are worried right now about what is the best path for your children or maybe your grandchildren and for their education, I am thrilled to tell you about the Herzog Foundation and my partnership with them because these are just great folks.
It gives me really tremendous pleasure to talk about this.
They are the trusted source, really and truly, on education, K through 12, private education.
With a remarkable suite of resources for parents and for grandparents who are thinking about making the switch from public schools to a Christian education.
And for those that are already in Christian schools as well, they have the online publication, The Lion.
They have a new podcast, Making the Leap.
The Herzog Foundation is offering a wide range of advice and information for Christian parents who want to make the best decision for their children's education and for their family.
So, to learn more about how your family, faith, and community can flourish.
Through a quality Christian education.

You got it?
You got it.
Fire Chief Accountability Crisis00:09:52
I know you guys do.
I know you guys do.
Have you been following all of the horrible, horrible news out of the West Coast?
It's just devastating what's happening there with the fires and the thousands and thousands of structures that are being destroyed.
It's pretty darn incredible.
And yet, this caught my eye.
Because you think about what's really needed in a time like this.
You need personnel, capable personnel.
You need water.
You need the resources to be able to fight something like this.
And yet, the state of California has been so obsessed with everything but what they need to be obsessed with that they're facing a crisis unlike anything we've seen in modern times.
So, as Los Angeles burns, think about this.
The fire chief, a woman who is gay and very proud of herself being a woman that is gay, running the fire department of LA, that's fine.
You know what?
You be a woman, you be gay, I don't care.
Like, enjoy it, right?
Whatever.
You do you, I do me, we're all good.
But when that takes precedence over actually doing your job and actually keeping things under control, then we have a little bit of a problem, don't you think?
Well, we have a similar problem with the assistant fire department chief.
There in Los Angeles, Christine Larson, she made this video, and it's kind of coming back to Hunter in a really big way.
You know, some people are calling it lesbians to the rescue.
You want to see somebody that responds to your house, your emergency, whether it's a medical call or a fire call, that looks like you.
It gives that person a little bit more ease, knowing that somebody might understand their situation better.
Is she strong enough to do this?
Or, you couldn't carry my husband out of a fire.
Which my response is, he got himself in the wrong place if I have to carry him out of a fire.
What?
Woo!
Okay, did I really hear that?
Yeah, and you really heard that too.
I believe the direct quote was, he got himself into the wrong place if I have to carry him out of a fire.
So I'm like, is this a parody?
Is this like an SNL skit?
David, one of the producers on the show, sent this to me last night, and I'm like, this is not real.
This is a joke, right?
It's real, okay?
That's how insane these people have gotten.
They don't think a firefighter would have to carry you out of a fire, for goodness sakes.
Oh, and gosh, you know, when you're just there waiting for somebody to rescue you, you're concerned about the color of their skin, their ethnicity, their sexual preference?
No, I don't think so.
You know what you're concerned about?
You're concerned about getting out alive, okay?
Alive.
And so there's a reason why you got like, A hundred and some odd firefighters that are female, and thousands and thousands and thousands of men in Los Angeles that are firefighters that are male.
A lot of that has to do with just sure physical capability, which I'm sorry, if you're in a fire, kind of matters, don't you think?
Here's the fire chief talking about everything but fires.
I'm super inspired.
She took time out of her already busy schedule to tell us about her vision for the department's future, one that includes a three year strategic plan to increase diversity.
People ask me, well, what number are you looking for?
I said, I'm not looking for a number.
It's never enough.
Out of 3,300 city firefighters, only 115 are women right now.
She's already looking at ways to change that.
She's quick to point out that doing so has a greater purpose, attracting the best and brightest for the job.
They feel included, they feel valued, and they feel part of a cohesive team.
The chief also checks another box when it comes to inclusivity and diversity at this department.
She's a proud member of the LGBTQ community.
That just kind of opens the door of people that thought, wow, I didn't even know.
That was an opportunity for me.
I'm sorry.
You know what?
We can't laugh.
This is not funny.
This is disgusting.
This is what isn't so, wrong with all the DEI garbage that we've had to deal with over the last four years, eight years.
This nonsense that you get a job because of the color of your skin or your sexual preference or your sex.
That's why they're giving you the job as opposed to, well, maybe.
You're the best one for the job, which I'm sorry.
When it comes to just rescuing people out of a fire, you kind of want the big strong man with the big strong muscles, right?
Like think of the brawny towel guy, right?
Like your big firefighter.
They're in great shape because they have to be, not to mention carrying all the equipment around on their backs.
I mean, this is DEI stuff.
It has to end, okay?
It has to end.
California, you voted for this, you idiots, you stupid, stupid, stupid people.
You vote.
For a mayor who takes off for Ghana on New Year's, despite word that there's gonna be some disastrous fires in her city.
She leaves because, oh no, she's gotta get to Africa to celebrate the new leader coming in.
I mean, please, right?
They care more about the smelt and the fish than they do about you as an individual living in California.
I'm sorry, like, you know, you make it pact, right, as a taxpayer that you pay taxes in and that you're supposed to get certain services.
Right, your safety is supposed to be somewhat assured, and the firefighting service is supposed to have water when they go to put out the fire.
I mean, this is what the taxpayer dollars are supposed to be going for, but in California, apparently, it's like an optional.
It's like Judge Mershon, you pick A, B, or C, you just think he's guilty, just pick A, B, or C. In California, they're like, uh, yeah, you know, maybe we'll consider patrolling the streets, maybe we'll consider arresting criminals, maybe we'll put water in the hydrants, maybe we'll get around to getting you out of a fire, but oh.
If you're a guy and it's lovely Karen coming to rescue you, well, she's going to remind you, sorry, it's Christine.
Christine Larson coming to rest.
She's going to remind you, you shouldn't have gotten yourself in a fire in the first place, right?
I mean, this is the attitude and this is what's so crazy.
Hey, listen, it's a new year.
Make sure you're taking care of yourself.
Part of that includes your financial health and a lot of it just includes your plain old health, right?
Go to the gym, drink water, go for walks, do what you can to prioritize yourself.
For me, That means doing all of those things, all of those things, and also taking my balance in nature.
My fruits and veggies, every single day I take them, I get all my vitamins this way.
I know a lot of you love balance in nature.
Leslie, I think you were saying that on the chat one day.
I got a call from my kid's music teacher last year saying, Oh my gosh, I love that balance in nature is on your program because I've been taking this stuff for years and it's fantastic.
Well, if you haven't had it and you want a chance to get it, you can get 35% off right now with my code.

By the way, there's all kinds of other stuff on there.
So, go check out the website.
You get 35% off with my name on everything.
So, it's not just the fire chief.
And the assistant fire chief that are all concerned about things that maybe they shouldn't be concerned about.
The reality is, you have a mayor there in Los Angeles who kind of has her own set of challenges.
This would be one, Karen Bass.
And as I was saying, New Year's was coming up, so she figured, why not head over to Ghana?
Let me go hang out in Africa because I got a big party over there, despite the fact that there is a massive fire with huge winds possibly heading my way to my city.
No, Karen Bass took off.
She also, ladies and gentlemen, reduced.
The budget rather significantly.
I think the latest total was by 34 million.
She was demanding all kinds of budget cuts because, you know, firefighters apparently don't really matter in LA, at least not to one lovely Karen.
Here she is, Karen Bass.
She was asked, and, you know, I don't know what's going on here.
She looked like she was having, unfortunately, perhaps a moment, a seizure?
I don't know, but watch how this reporter is asking her if she feels bad.
At all.
Do you owe citizens an apology for being absent while their homes were burning?
Do you regret cutting the fire department budget by millions of dollars, Madam Mayor?
Have you nothing to say today?
Have you absolutely nothing to say to the citizens today?
Elon Musk says that you're utterly incompetent.
Are you considering your position?
Madam Mayor, have you absolutely nothing to say to the citizens today who are dealing with this disaster?
No apology for them.
Do you think you should have been visiting Ghana while this was unfolding back home?
Wow.
Focus On Self Care00:07:25
I mean, that was weird, right?
It's like she just was shutting him out.
I guess she was paralyzed.
She was afraid to answer these questions, but you probably shouldn't be the mayor of Los Angeles if you're not putting the right priorities on the right things.
And believe me, she didn't.
But this was symptomatic of everyone.
I mean, Gavin Newsom's under fire.
A woman confronted him, a mom saying, Oh my gosh, that's my children's school.
And he was pretty embarrassed because he's like, Hang on, hang on, I'm just talking to the president about it.
Except that wasn't true.
He didn't have the president on the line.
And good luck getting Biden on the line these days.
So he's making stuff up.
And so it goes, right?
You keep electing incompetent people who try to cover their tracks.
By lying, cheating, stealing, whatever, lawfare, extraordinaire, and you got problems.
I mean, look what happened to Facebook.
Facebook is coming out with a whole new thing.
First of all, they're getting rid of DEI over at Facebook.
So, you know, good luck to Karen and to Christine if you were trying to get a job over at Facebook right now because they don't care about if you're a lesbian or if you're black or white or purple.
No, they've made a decision that this is not the right thing for their company.
So they joined many other companies.
This was like Just a whole big kowtow thing to Biden.
Well, Mark Zuckerberg just went on to Joe Rogan's show today and he had quite an earful for Rogan.
He basically said that they intimidated the heck out of his staff and they would yell and scream and threaten and made Meta's life a living hell because they would not allow information on the platform that they believed was, quote, misinformation.
That's kind of scary.
I mean, like, you know, we're not a lot different than China or Russia when you think about it.
If that's really what's going on, the White House is going to control everything they have, they've controlled it for years, all through the means.
Media and they don't know what to do because all of a sudden, hey, Trish Regan can come over here.
I don't have to have scripts.
I don't have to have anybody breathing over my shoulder, reading my scripts, making sure that I'm saying this, that, and the other.
I can say whatever I want.
What do you know?
I mean, except apparently on Meta, you couldn't do it there.
So Zuckerberg went on to the show with Rogan and he had a few things to say, but you know, this comes on the heels of him explaining his position just the other day on Meta itself to viewers.
We want to make sure that we handle responsibly.
So we built a lot of complex systems to moderate content.
But the problem with complex systems is they make mistakes.
Even if they accidentally censor just 1% of posts, that's millions of people.
And we've reached a point where it's just too many mistakes and too much censorship.
The recent elections also feel like a cultural tipping point towards once again prioritizing speech.
So we're going to get back to our roots and focus on reducing mistakes, simplifying our policies, and restoring free expression on our platforms.
More specifically, here's what we're going to do.
First, we're going to get rid of fact checkers and replace them with community notes similar to X, starting in the US.
After Trump first got elected in 2016, the legacy media wrote.
So he's taking a page out of Elon's book.
He's putting in some community notes.
He's getting rid of the fact checkers.
He's getting rid of DEI.
He goes on Rogan and says, Oh my gosh, you wouldn't believe what the Biden administration was telling us, what they were threatening with us.
You know what?
I believe it.
I believe it.
I don't know if it fully lets you off the hook, Mark.
You know, I don't really, I don't know as I buy everything from you.
You know, I think you're doing what's good for Mark and what's good for Meta, but that's okay because a lot of us are invested in Meta.
Whether you like it or not, probably through your 401k, you are because of the SP 500.
And you should be.
You know what?
Look, this is a great company that still has tremendous potential.
He's just, he's doing what's good for Mark.
He's doing what's good for Meta.
Okay.
So don't get too carried away with it.
I'm not going to get too carried away with it, but I will say it's the right thing for the country.
We need to do the right thing for the country.
There are a lot of different companies that you can be investing in right now that are going to see some upside.
I realized the market fell out of bed today.
I was actually buying today because when the market goes down, that's actually when I go in.
Hey, Letitia, you got nothing on me.
She says she's made of, she's got a backbone of steel.
I got a backbone and nerves of steel.
So, anyway, there's a lot of opportunity in this market if you're in it for the long term.
You can go to investinmaga and get my free guide that I put together with long term investor, brilliant, brilliant, brilliant, smart guy, Rob Horton, who's my partner there at 76 Research.
So go to investinmaga.com.
It's totally free.
We put it together for you guys.
If you haven't done that, I'm offended because you need to.
I put this together for you.
It's really important.
I want you to be investing in your future, in America's future, in the Trump future.
There's a lot of opportunity there.
So investinmaga.com or go over to 76 Research.
Again today, 76research.com.
Oh, and before I forget, again, American Heart for Gold, TrishlovesGold.com, our good friends over at American Heart for Gold, TrishlovesGold.com, you can get up to $15,000 worth of free silver right now.
They get a very special offer.
So if you're worried about inflation, I get it.
I am too.
I still am, even with Trump coming in.
It's one of the reasons why I want to be invested in the market, and another reason why I want that diversification into gold.
And this is not like an either or.
You know, like some people, oh my gosh, Bitcoin, Bitcoin, you know, how can you like Bitcoin and you like gold?
Believe me, I like them all because I want that diversification.
So, gold is an important part of my portfolio.
Text Trish right now to this number, 655 32, so you can get more information on that $15,000 in free gold, free silver, rather, free gold with a gold purchase.
Silver gold, you get it, right?
Anyway, again, it's TrishLovesGold.com.
Very easy to remember because I do love gold.
TrishLovesGold.com, 1 844 495 1115.
Listen, I will say this.
You know, Trump warned them.
He did warn them back in 2018 about having a better use of fire management there on the West Coast.
He did a sort of PR stint there with Gavin Newsom, Gavin Newsom, who's going down.
This is cleaned out and protected.
You've got to take care of the floors, you know, the floors of the forests.
Very important.
You look at other countries where they do it differently, and it's a whole different story.
I was with the president of Finland, and he said, We have.
Much different.
We're a forest nation.
He called it a forest nation.
You know what?
I would just say this California, word to the wise start focusing on what matters.
Start focusing on taking care of yourself rather than this stupid, you know, let me sue Trump again.
They sued him a hundred times.
Think about that, ladies and gentlemen.
A hundred times.
It is so good to have you here.
I really do encourage you to subscribe to the show.
Have a wonderful weekend, and I'll be back again on Monday.
