Trish Regan reports MSNBC ratings hit a 20-year low of 38,000 viewers in November 2024, sparking speculation that Elon Musk might acquire the network for $7 billion. She criticizes hosts Rachel Maddow and Joe Scarborough as opportunists for visiting Mar-a-Lago, while noting a feud between Maddow and Keith Olbermann over her $25 million contract. The discussion covers Trump's threats to make Canada the 51st state, Mayor Eric Adams' pledge to deport criminal migrants, and allegations of Democratic corruption involving Hunter Biden and payments to Oprah Winfrey. Ultimately, Regan argues that traditional media has lost relevance to social influencers as political polarization intensifies. [Automatically generated summary]

MSNBC Ratings Plunge00:11:06
MSNBC is in a little bit of trouble right about now.
You see, ratings are plunging in real time.
I mean, they just keep getting worse by the day.
They somehow had the brilliant idea to re sign Rachel Maddow at $25 million a year.
The staff is really upset.
They're looking to do this spinoff, and it looks like Elon Musk could come in for the kill.
Welcome to today's show.
It's good to have you here, everyone.
Welcome to the Trish Regan Show.
Make sure you subscribe, share, like, all that good stuff.
Really, really important to do right about now.
We want to talk all about.
The latest and greatest out of MSNBC.
Really, really bad stuff.
Plus, a little cat fight going on.
You got Rachel Maddow and Keith Oberman.
Remember Keith Oberman?
You probably don't.
But, you know, for all the kids out there, he was really popular at one point in time, if MSNBC was ever that popular.
He's not too happy about her.
He kind of thinks she's some kind of money grubbing, untrustworthy sellout.
She probably is.
So, now they're looking for another billionaire besides Elon.
Would Mark Cuban come to their rescue?
Doubt it, we'll talk about that.
Plus, the founder of Facebook, aka Meta, well, he actually wants in on this whole Mar-a-Lago thing.
You see, he's checking down there, kissing the rings, so to speak, trying to ingratiate himself to one Donald Trump.
I'm not so sure it's going to fly, but we can talk about that.
All as Trump humiliates the Prime Minister of Canada and Doge is coming to the rescue with all kinds of stuff.
Spending cuts.
We got a big show for you here today.
Welcome.
Again, make sure you subscribe, share, like.
Okay, we begin today on ratings out of MSNBC.
They haven't seen numbers like this in two decades, guys.
It's that bad.
We're talking about the lowest since 2004.
So you got to go back 20 years to see anything quite as bad as this.
Because you see, ever since the election, they've been plunging.
They've cut their numbers in half.
Can you imagine cutting your numbers in half?
I think because everybody suddenly woke up and realized these.
People are a bunch of phonies.
These people actually don't believe in what they're doing.
I mean, heck, you got Mika and Joe running down to Mar a Lago to kiss the ring themselves.
Rosie O'Donnell didn't appreciate that one.
Why?
Because they're opportunists and they get it.
And they see the handwriting on the wall.
And now you have a network that is owned by the likes of Comcast, which is waking up saying, Why the heck do we own this thing anyway?
I mean, who needs this headache?
Joy Reid and Company, Joe Scarborough and his wife tag along Mika Brzezinski.
We don't need them.
You know what?
We don't need any.
Hey, you know what?
They'd probably be very happy with CNBC, but who even needs that, right?
You get rid of all these businesses, which are low growth, no growth businesses.
You hang on to the streaming network, that would be Peacock.
You hang on.
To the broadcast network, that would be NBC News, and you get rid of the rest of it.
It's actually pretty great.
It's quite brilliant.
They're going to do this spin off, you see, and it's time.
It's time.
Of course, I don't know how much money they're going to get.
I mean, if you think about ratings being where they are, and they're really bad, I'm going to go through the numbers, then how are you going to get the best price?
You know, some of the talent they're trying to put on, like a good spin, and they're like, oh, it'd be great.
It'll be great.
Because you see, now we can have people that are going to focus on what we do.
Of course, if they focus on what you do, guys, you might be really in big trouble.
They think that they'll get some kind of investment.
Let me just tell you, you're going to have a bunch of shareholders that are going to get really demanding and they're going to say, let's just bleed this for what it's worth.
Or you're going to have somebody come in like a private equity company if you could do that.
I mean, the deal has certain tax advantages in place because it's a tax-free spinoff.
So those wouldn't really be sort of obsolete until a couple of years from now.
So could somebody come in and buy it?
There would be a tax penalty, but you know, that wouldn't stop Elon necessarily, would it?
I mean, Elon Musk, he's willing to pay a pretty penny for just about anything.
Although, I don't know about this, because look at what you're dealing with.
Maybe Elon could save it.
Here we go.
November 26, MSNBC had the lowest rated non holiday weekday among advertising coveted demos, adults 25 to 54, lowest in 20 years.
MSNBC only got 38,000 average demo viewers, its smallest non holiday audience among the critical viewers since July 19, 2004.
Oh my goodness.
I mean, we knew it was a dying business, but really?
So bad stuff.
Multiple programs saw their audience size cut in half from Election Day.
I mean, just really, really bad.
Down 50%.
I mean, read out, the joy read, read out, down 50%.
Somehow that doesn't really, really, really surprise me.
Right?
I mean, this is a group of people that somehow thought they were in control, total control of what you should be thinking.
And guess what?
They just realized they're not.
Oh gosh, they're not.
I mean, they said as much.
Let's go back to 2022.
Here's Mika and Joe on their little morning show together, husband and wife, talking about.
How they control, they're supposed to control what you think.
Can you imagine if Donald Trump were back in charge and maybe he had a hand in something?
Here we go.
He said he's going to do.
Well, and I think that the dangerous edges here are that he's trying to undermine the media, trying to make up his own facts, and it could be that while unemployment and the economy worsens, he could have undermined the messaging so much that he can actually control exactly what people think.
That is our job.
Yeah.
If you look at the issues, Yamish is right.
He's doing exactly what he said.
It's right.
It's that's your job.
Not anymore.
Not anymore.
America just fired you guys.
Take a look at those ratings, shall we?
Down 51%.
You have been fired.
And you know what?
The ratings got even worse after they announced the world that they went down to Mar a Lago, right?
Then they just got even worse, even worse, even worse.
Well, now, of course, Comcast is putting the thing up.
For sale because they don't want anything to do with it.
They're talking about evaluation.
I've heard some numbers float of maybe $7 billion.
Again, chump change for Elon Musk.
And what would he do?
Let me ask you if you're watching this live, let me know in the comments.
I'm going to read them as we go to the soundbite.
And if you are watching after we are live, make sure you subscribe and you hit the bell so you know when I am live every day.
But also let me know what do you think Elon should do?
What would be your first order of business?
I know a couple people that worry they'd get fired.
We could all be fired a year from now.
We'll be able to see what happens.
You never know what's going to happen.
You never know, do you?
You never know, guys.
You never know.
You know, it's tough.
They're in an industry that's dying.
It's partly why I'm excited to be where I am right here.
It's why it is important that you subscribe and share and like.
This is a different medium.
There is no sort of outside control, there's no management structure getting in the way of things.
And so I feel that it's more transparent, it's more honest.
You know, there's some bumps along the way, but in the end, it's worth it because you're getting.
You're getting me without all the sort of cablefication, if you would.
We'll coin a new phrase.
But they don't understand at MSNBC why they're not relevant anymore.
They don't understand why things like X or streaming on YouTube or any of these platforms, they don't understand why this is where it's at.
And it's frustrating for them because they're used to controlling the narrative, they're used to having a ton of power.
New research shows one in five adults regularly get their news from influencers.
On social media.
The number is even higher among younger Americans, with almost 40% under the age of 30 getting their news from those sources.
According to the Pew Research Center, the social media site X remains the most widely accessed platform, followed by Instagram and YouTube.
I mean, that comes obviously for political news.
And Mike, that's the challenge.
You grew up in a newsroom like Gene grew up in a newsroom.
I mean, that's a challenge for a lot of mainstream media sources is do they make themselves relevant again to hear 20% of adults who actually get influencers on social media?
I don't know how they make it.
Maybe somebody who makes baskets and while they're making baskets, they look up and say vote for candidate X.
I don't know how they make themselves, how we make ourselves relevant again, because we can't compete with 20-second snippets on an IPhone, walking up and getting your entire news digest of the day.
In less than a minute on your phone.
As you're walking into the crowd with coffee in one hand and your phone in the other, I don't know how we catch up to that.
Yeah so, Gene Robinson, do you agree with Mike?
Because I find this hard to believe that younger voters would be more interested in getting a twin entertaining 20 news, 20 second news snippet than watching a cable news show for four hours from 6 a.m.
To 10 a.m. this seems like an easy choice to us here what is wrong with these people exactly yeah I mean, look, if I knew the answer, you know, I would implement it immediately, right?
And reverse this.
But we have to compete.
I mean, the answer is we don't know how to compete with these social media basket-making influencers or whatever, but we have to.
And so we've got to figure out ways to do it.
And maybe we make our own 20-second snippets and we meet.
Viewers, where they are.
We mean news consumers, where they are because they're not here.
And that's the problem.
Coming up.
Yeah, they're definitely not there.
They're definitely not there.
I'm glad that you guys realize that.
They're not there.
So, of course, MSNBC has been trying to make its own little 20 second snippets, but that really hasn't gone that well.
I don't know if you've noticed some of these.
I have played some.
They're rather disgusting, frankly, to watch, but you might as well know. what the world is doing and how they are trying to answer this call to somehow be more hip, more in vogue.
Here's one, Joy Reid, trying to do exactly that.
Take a listen.
Hey, I just want to give some free advice to the white progressives, particularly white progressive women who may be thinking about marching against the Trump victory, maybe putting back on the PeeWord hats and doing that thing.
Adult Swim Spinoff Rumors00:15:06
I would just say probably don't send any of those invites to any black women you know.
I'm just going to tell you right now, they're not coming.
I think I'm pretty sure black women have resigned from the Save America coalition, Save Democracy coalition, and definitely the Save the Democratic Party coalition.
I think that's probably not happening.
I would just keep those invites maybe among your own friends because I don't think they're coming.
But yeah, I think black women are now on the Save Black Women, prioritize black men, and prioritize black communities, black businesses, and that, and the black spaces, but Save America, Save the Democratic Party.
Yeah, I don't think that's happening.
Oh, by the way, Rachel Maddow is also getting killed in the ratings, too.
So that's Joy.
She's not doing so well.
And the 22nd snippens, they're really not doing well, okay?
Because I don't think America subscribes to that division that they're constantly trying to sell.
I mean, they sat there and they told us he was the reincarnation of Hitler.
Don't even get me started on how grossly disgusting that is to say to the Jewish population worldwide.
Anyone who lost a loved one in World War II.
I mean, that's pretty wild, right?
To all of our allies.
You're going to say that kind of stuff about somebody just because you don't want them to get elected?
I mean, come on.
No wonder nobody's watching you.
And the queen of these conspiracy theories that would take you down these wild rabbit holes, rabbit hole after rabbit hole, Rachel Maddow, I'd watch that and I'd be like, I can't believe she's doing that.
And she had it.
Kind of bizarrely entertaining way of doing it, which actually made it more conspiratorial and more you want to talk.
Dangerous, I would say dangerous.
Rachel Meadow was at it day in, day out, night in, night out, and now I got news for her she's not doing so well, not doing well at all, in fact.
If I look at these numbers, I do believe That it's so bad for Rachel Maddow, so bad that there's a show on Adult SWIM.
Do we have that?
Nope.
Maybe here.
There's a show on Adult Swim called Bob's Burgers that's doing better than Rachel Maddow right now.
That's how bad it is.
But these suckers just paid her how much money?
They just renewed Rachel Maddow at some $25 million a year.
And you know what?
The guy who kind of mentored her, who kind of made her into what she is today.
Do you remember this guy, Keith Olbermann?
Keith Olbermann.
Okay, for the kids out there, let me give you a little snippet so you know where I'm coming from.
On a special Tuesday edition of the Countdown Podcast, the Hunter Biden pardon is not about anything Hunter Biden did in the past or in the distant past.
It was about.
What Donald Trump and his cult of scumbags intended to do to Hunter Biden and to everybody else in the future.
This was about beating Trump in a way that hurt Trump and all of the lunatics he wanted in charge of his asylum.
So you get the picture.
You see how he fostered along and treated as a protege his little Rachel Maddow, who then went on to dominate Rachel Maddow, followed by the guy that looks just like her.
You can't even tell them apart.
Oh my gosh, and what do you know?
It's like we got multiple Rachel Maddows now that all were given birth to courtesy of that guy, the granddaddy of them all, Keith Olbermann.
Well, Keith Olbermann and Rachel are now in this little teeny tiny little cat fight.
Of course, she's not scratching back, but he's angry.
He's really, really angry because somebody wrote on Twitter this would actually be a guy who's like a professor of journalism, and they're so clueless, right?
Totally clueless.
They're not even in on the news cycle.
They have no idea that Rachel just signed.
For $25 million.
This guy, Jeff Jarvis, he writes, troubling.
MSNBC might have to change its identity.
Will lose ties to NBC News operation, have to move, could be an acquisition target, stay the F away, Sinclair, Murdoch, Musk, Springer, et cetera.
Or maybe Rachel Maddow should leave and build a new operation.
Oh, he thinks she should leave, but, you know, of course, he's a journalism professor of some sort, or journalism critic, I believe, Jarvis, of some sort.
And Keith Oberman has an interesting response.
He says, You idiot, she just re signed.
She just re signed for $25 million.
And then here's the dagger.
If you think she'd do anything for principle, I'll light a candle for you.
In other words, she's an opportunist too.
And she doesn't care, I guess, that her ratings are going down.
She just signed for, oh, okay, $5 million less, but $25 million.
I don't know what they're thinking.
I really don't know what they're thinking.
But you know what?
It's a really good idea, Brian Roberts, to get the H-E-A-L away from this.
Network.
Get away from it as fast as you can because it's only going to bring you more and more headaches.
I mean, when Rachel cannot beat Bob's Burgers on Adult Swim, I don't think there's a whole lot of hope.
So, this is an article that was in Yahoo News, and the guy's writing about how things are not so great over at MSNBC right now.
Quote, rumors are swirling about a spinoff.
Oh, the spinoff's happening.
I mean, these are no longer rumors, buddy, okay?
The company came out and announced it, it's confirmed.
This is a company that's getting spun off, complete with CNBC and Oxygen, which was an Oprah thing, and Sci Fi.
Oh, they get the whole shebang, except for Bravo.
That's going to stay with the mothership.
Both fans and co workers have a lot to say publicly about Morning Joe hosts, Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski, sitting down with President Trump.
And most concerningly of all, there's the ratings, which have been horrible.
Horrible since the election.
Actually, horrible might be an unfortunate understatement.
Rachel Maddell just put her worst ratings into the year.
According to The Independent, she lost in the 25 to 54 demo in reruns.
Two reruns, I should say, of Bob's Burgers on Adult Swim.
Hey, I didn't even know it was reruns, right?
So that's pretty bad.
Nothing against Bob's Burgers.
But, you know, there's a lot of things we'd rather watch than Rachel Maddow, right?
Let's be honest.
So the staff is mad.
Keith Olbermann, no longer there.
He's mad.
He's like, she's not going to do you any favors.
And I think the staff's finally got onto this, too.
Not only is Rachel not going to do him any favors, she's going to collect her cool $25 million for working one day a week, but Morning Joe co hosts, Mika and Joe, they're not going to do you any favors either.
In fact, the latest and greatest, this one by Fox News, who of course loves the opportunity to ding MSNBC, let's be honest.
Anyway, they write an article here saying that they're cowardice.
They're opportunists, according to one person who works there.
So this is what they're telling Fox News Digital.
They're not surprised.
They find it disgusting, but frankly unsurprising.
Well, I'm glad you're not surprised because, you know, we could have told you this was coming.
They are opportunists.
In fact, I would say, like, if anyone's actually going to survive all this, it might actually just be Mika and Joe.
Rachel, too, to a certain extent.
I think she's for sure a survivor.
And hey, it's only one show a week.
She'll have to figure out a way to turn the ratings around.
But look, Joe and Mika went down to Mar-a-Lago for a reason.
They want to be part of the club, they want to be one of the cool kids.
And right now, they're hardly, hardly one of the cool kids.
In fact, nobody's even watching them.
So everybody's nervous now.
Everybody's like, okay, is Elon Musk.
Coming in, what is he going to do?
What does it mean for us?
Could he actually buy the thing?
We're going to get to that in a second.
First, a shout out to our friends who are at American Heart for Gold.
You can save up to $15,000 in free silver right now.
You know, I'm a big believer in diversification, and part of the diversification strategy in my own portfolio includes investing in gold.
So you can call our friends at American Heart for Gold, or you can text my name.
Just text Trish, T R I S H, to 65532.
The number is 1 844495 1115, or go to Trish.com.
Trish loves gold.com again for up to $15,000 in free silver, everyone.
So you get the cool kids there over at MSNBC.
No longer the cool kids, I should say.
They're like the kids that you don't even want to go near.
They're like the pariahs in the lunchroom, right?
That are just, they smell and they haven't showered in a while.
Actually, the funny thing is, they used to look like they smelled.
Did you notice how Joe Scarborough is like suddenly in a suit and tie after having been in a hoodie for so long?
He's like trying to spiff it up.
Because he is, as he tells you, after all, a white southern male conservative.
It's like, yeah, you know, I mistook you for Tucker, right?
Oh boy.
So they get a lot of work to do.
And they're saying, okay, like what happens if Elon comes in?
Well, we're fired, right?
Elon would get rid of them.
I mean, the first one that would go would be Joy, let's be honest.
Joy Reid would be the first.
She's actually a liability for the network.
She should be fired right now.
Brian Roberts, if he's smart, will get rid of her.
Because you don't want the baggage, especially going into a spinoff where this would be a separately traded company.
You just don't want that headache.
But could another billionaire jump in on this whole thing?
That's a big question because they're all like, oh my God, oh my God, I don't want Elon.
Please don't let it be Elon.
Is there some liberal billionaire out there ready, willing, and able to buy us?
Because otherwise, we run the risk that Elon's going to control everything.
He's going to have this quote media capture, as CNN likes to write.
This is the whole theory, right?
They get this whole theory about Viktor Orban over in Hungary, and somehow he's accomplished a quote unquote media capture because he's got his friends that have bought the networks and he's in charge, and so then he influences things.
I'm like, wait a second, what do you think happened?
What do you think we've been dealing with?
I mean, heck, George Clooney, he was able, Obama's friend, to get Biden tossed.
You had Jake Tapper aggressively working with David Plough and David Axelrod and Obama to toss.
Joe Biden, because they thought he couldn't win.
I mean, if you didn't think that the media wasn't controlled by a bunch of leftist billionaires, I'm sorry.
I got news for you.
All right.
That's just the way it's been.
And so they're upset, saying, Oh my gosh, you know, this is going to be just like Victor, just like Victor Orban over in Hungary.
So they're like, Could anybody, anybody at all possibly buy this besides Elon Musk?
Who we got?
Who we got?
Oh, there's this guy.
Donald Trump, you never see him around strong, intelligent women ever.
It's just that simple.
Except not even he wants it.
No, Mark Cuban is too smart for that.
It's like Shark Tank.
Nope, sorry, I'll pass.
So CNN reached out to him.
They said, Would Cuban, a key billionaire surrogate, not a very good one, for Vice President Kamala Harris, have any interest in MSNBC?
I asked him, writes this Brian something guy.
I think that didn't Handy call him like Humpty Dumpty or Mr. Potato Head or something?
There was like some funny name for him.
He was like at CNN and then he got fired from CNN and got some kind of.
Position, fellowship, whatever, at Harvard University, because that's where everybody goes to die, and then came back now to CNN.
He's like resurfacing in some other capacity, not as the host, thank God, of an on air show.
You know, you do kind of need to sort of fit the part a little bit, a little bit.
Anyway, this guy writes, I don't think, or he asked me, he's like, I asked him, and he got this quote Cuban said, I don't think there is anything anyone can do to change the impact of linear TV news.
So the answer is no.
It feels like a Shark Tank episode.
The answer is no.
People feel like MSNBC is not doing enough to rival Fox.
I don't see that.
What could they do differently?
Manufacture conspiracy theories?
Oh, well, didn't Rachel do that?
I mean, she did that quite successfully, right?
That's actually why they got ratings for a while.
Go all in on crypto?
Ha ha ha.
I would rather promote Blue Sky.
This is this alternative to X and hope it helps them aggregate audience.
Okay, so Mark Cuban's out.
Short answer is.
No one wants this thing.
No one.
Because guess what?
Television, linear TV, cable television is done.
It's over.
And not even the most liberal of billionaires is willing to fork over the money for it.
So you get back to, okay, if somebody were to buy it, and I don't necessarily think Elon would, he's just entertaining everyone and perhaps keeping the news cycle going a bit longer.
Would he buy it?
Well, look, he would fire Joy Reid.
He would fire likely Mika and Joe.
Maybe he'd put Tucker in.
Joe Rogan has volunteered to do a show.
But you know what?
Nobody really needs to do that anymore.
That's the truth of it.
Who wants to go work for somebody else?
Like, if you can do this completely on your own, then why would you actually need to answer to a boss?
So, I think it would be hard.
I think it would be challenging to get big names, podcasters that have a decent sized audience.
Reminder subscribe, share, like, make sure that we grow this audience here.
I think it would be very hard to get any real brands to come over and want to build that with you because there's so much more autonomy, independence, and freedom over here on the other side ourselves.
So, it would be an uphill battle.
Granted, you know, he's taken on challenges before and he's always succeeded.
So, I do think if anybody were to do it, it would be Elon.
He might wait a couple years until the stock price sinks.
You just let Joy Reed loose, and I'm telling you, I'm telling you, the stock price will sink.
I'll tell you one thing that's not sinking, not our picks over at 76 Research.
So, this is the financial research company that I have together with a very dear friend named Rob Horton.
And Rob and I have three different model portfolios.
10 to 15 stocks in each one, and they've just all been flying.
I mean, take a look at some of these here.
You get the financials of 37%, you get the number two stock pickup of 35%, energy of 30%, another energy pickup of 29%.
Zuckerberg White House Past00:03:57
You get the picture, okay?
So we are beating the SP, which is always the goal, and not easy, I should point out, not easy these days, right?
Given where the SP has been, it has been just such a record run.
And by the way, I should point out, since the election, these things are doing even better.
So go sign up for one of those model portfolios today.
Or you can go to 76research.com and just get the standard 76 report.
We get tons of information every single week for you in there.
Lots of times we give you names as well.
So 76research.com, go there, sign up.
It's code word dollar.
You can get it for the first two months for just a dollar a month.
Then it goes to $9.95.
If you tack on one of these, I mean, it's worth it.
One of the portfolios, I think it's just $22 extra a month if you do the actual math.
So take a look at that.
Also, consider this is our free Invest in MAGA guide.
InvestinMAGA.com because Everything's been on a tear.

It's a big overview of everything that's succeeding right now, all the sectors that are in play.
We've got names specifically there for you.
So it's a great introductory product.
So you can get to know me and Rob, of course.
Hopefully, you know me, but you got to get to know him too.
He's brilliant, really smart, has been investing for decades and ran billions of dollars on Wall Street.
So we are very lucky to have him.
And it's a great, great guide.
Anyway, the cool kids, they're all heading.
Down to Mar a Lago.
And Mark Zuckerberg's like, wait a second, why am I being left out?
This is the Facebook founder now known as Meta.
So he's like, why not me?
Why not me?
Why not me?
Well, you know, a few things going on there.
You did take Donald Trump off of your platform for some rather long period of time, did you not?
You did censor a whole lot of stuff on Facebook for a whole lot of time, did you not?
And then there's this little squabble that you have with Elon Musk, who's ready, willing, and able to fight you any day of the week.
I mean, he wants a big gun.
This is like, you know, martial arts style fighting, he wants to be in the ring.
I'll find Zuckerberg any place, any time, any role.
Can I get a picture with you?
I'm sorry.
Hey, maybe they go to Mar a Lago.
Maybe they can fight there.
What do you know?
Well, I'm telling you, Zuckerberg wants in.
He wants in.
He just went down to kiss the ring.
So he went to Mar a Lago and he is grateful.
He says for the invitation and he basically wanted that meeting in order to kind of make sure that he is included.
In some of these tech discussions that they're having over the future of technology.
Because the future of technology obviously is really, really, really important.
Mark Zuckerberg wants in.
I don't know if there's a lot of warmth, shall we say, there.
Mark Zuckerberg, who used to come to the White House and kiss my ass.
Okay.
Well, now he's going somewhere else to kiss his ass, as they say.
Mark Zuckerberg dines with.
Trump at Mar a Lago after pushing for a meeting to discuss new administration.
He is so grateful for this invitation.
Now, yes, why would he do this?
Why would the head of Meta?
Like, let's, I mean, there's some obvious reasons, right?
Like, it's good for business.
You don't want to be on the bad side of Donald Trump.
But let's start with the best case scenario, shall we?
Like, let's pretend that he is completely altruistic, which he is not.
But let's just assume that he actually is trying to do the right thing.
I mean, If you recall, he did say this immediately after the attempt on Trump's life.
He sat down with my former colleague from Bloomberg, Emily Chang.
She has a tech show out of San Francisco, and he told her this.
I've done some stuff personally in the past.
I'm not planning on doing that this time.
Trump Organizational Changes00:02:10
And that includes not endorsing either of the candidates.
Now, look, there's obviously a lot of crazy stuff going on in the world.
I mean, the historic events over the weekend.
And I mean, on a personal note, it's.
You know, I mean, seeing Donald Trump get up after getting shot in the face and pump his fist in the air with the American flag is one of the most badass things I've ever seen in my life.
But look, I mean, it's, you know, as, and I think, look, at some level, as an American, it's like hard to not get kind of emotional about that spirit and that fight.
And I think that that's why a lot of people like the guy.
Well, here's another.
You know, I do think that Elon led.
A push early on to make Twitter a lot leaner.
You can agree or disagree with exactly all the tactics and how he did that.
Obviously, every leader has their own style for if you need to make dramatic changes for that, how you're going to execute it.
But a lot of the specific principles that he pushed on around basically trying to make the organization more technical, around decreasing the distance between engineers at the company and him, like fewer layers of management.
I think that those were generally good changes.
And I also think that it was probably good for the industry that he made those changes, because my sense is that there were a lot of other people who thought that those were good changes, but who.
May have been a little shy about doing them.
And I think he, you know, just in my conversations with other founders and how people have reacted to the things that we've done, you know, what I've heard from a lot of folks is just, hey, you know, when someone like you, you know, when I wrote the letter outlining the organizational changes that I wanted to make back in March, and you know, when people see what Elon is doing, I think that that gives, you know, people.
Election Cycle Spending Plans00:08:41
The ability to think through how to shape their organizations in a way that, uh, so the point is, he's trying to lay it on thick and he's trying to kiss Elon's, you know, what now, okay?
So, like, from Elon to Trump, like, Mark is like, let me in, let me in, please.
Can I sit at your lunch table?
I mean, I did write that letter, did I not, to Jim Jordan?
I did point out that we got way too entrapped in good news, what, right?
Back in 2021, in other words, yeah.
The government was in there manipulating them, telling them they couldn't do this, they could do that, and as a result, we kind of feel bad.
They thought it was Russian disinformation, remember?
Oh, because that's what the FBI said.
The FBI told us that the Biden family and the Burisma thing, that was all part of Russian misinformation, disinformation, right?
That's why you couldn't talk about the laptop.
I personally got myself kicked off of Facebook for a year because I shared a story about.
The laptop.
They actually full on shadow banned me and they told me.
Like that, that was just, and they couldn't do anything about it because I was like, oh gosh, if you're that upset, I can take the story down.
And I didn't know that if you took the story down, that's like admitting drunk driving.
Like that's like admitting, it's like not taking the breathalyzer.
So they wouldn't do a darn thing about it.
I mean, they took the president off.
I have so many friends that have been affected by this.
I continue to be affected by it.
I'm happy to tell you about that.
But look, here's the reality they bought it hook, line, and sinker, they bought all of it.
And they actually shut down people's accounts, including the president of the United States, because of it.
I mean, all of them were in on this.
Think about 60 minutes as well.
This story about Hunter and his laptop, some significant things.
About Hunter and his laptop.
Some repair shop found it.
The source is Steve Bannon and Rudy Giuliani.
I don't know anything about that.
I just know it's a laptop.
Did they happen?
And you're making this one of the hottest, most important issues in your rallies.
It's a very important issue to find out whether or not a man's corrupt, who's running for president, who's accepted money from China and from Ukraine and from Russia.
All these things have been investigated.
It's incredible the way you can try and say this and sit there and look me in the eye and say it.
He accepted money, his family from Russia, from Ukraine, from China, and from other places.
His brother, who didn't have experience, became a big builder in Iraq without experience.
Take a look at what's going on, Leslie, and then you say that shouldn't be discussed.
I'm saying.
It's the biggest scandal out there, Leslie, and you don't cover it.
Because it can't be verified.
I want to talk about insignificant things.
I'm telling you.
Of course it can be verified.
Excuse me.
They found the laptop.
Leslie, Leslie.
What can't be verified?
The laptop.
What you said.
Right.
So, you see, Facebook was part of this as well.
And now they regret it.
Now they live to regret it.
He sent a letter to Honorable Chairman of the Judiciary Committee, Jim Jordan, basically saying, gee, we're sorry.
And you know what?
We won't do this again.
We kind of screwed up.
So, okay.
All right.
So let's just, you know, take him at his word.
Like maybe he really is sorry.
Maybe he's really bummed out that he got duped, kind of like George Clooney.
George Clooney got duped into writing that op ed saying Biden should leave.
And now he's all mad at Obama about it.
Well, somebody else got duped too.
But you know what?
I'll tell you who's not buying any of it the guy who may be the new head of the FBI, one Kash Patel.
Zuckerberg is a fraud pretending to care about American democracy and the election.
This guy.
spent 400 million last election cycle.
And I don't care what he says, he is going to spend money somehow, someway in this election cycle.
And let's put that aside.
He owns one of the largest social media companies on earth in Facebook, Meta, and Instagram.
I didn't hear the CEO and owner, Mark Zuckerberg, come out and say, I guarantee you my companies will not participate in censorship at the behest of the FBI or anyone else in the federal government, like we did in the last two elections, like we did with Hunter Biden's laptop, like we did with the 51 Intel letter.
He could have said that, but he didn't because he wants it to happen.
And as a sort of proactive, preemptive move to say, oh, I told you so, he came out to the media and said, oh, you know, my bad.
I'm sorry.
But it doesn't matter to these guys because they're going to go past November 5th.
And if they get their way and Harris is awarded the victory, they're just going to be like, nothing to see here.
And if Donald Trump wins, they'll come back and say, see, our company's tried to comply.
But it's BS.
And Zuckerberg is the biggest fraud in big business.
Okay, tell us how you really feel.
So, Kash Patel saying that Zuckerberg is totally a fraud.
He has no use for him.
The guy spent $400 million in the last election cycle trying to get Biden elected, took Trump off the platform, numerous other people off the platform, yours truly included.
So, you know, what use do we have for him now?
Now you could say, okay, he's either just being, you know, maybe he's waking up.
Maybe he's waking up to what they did and understanding and realizing how bad it was.
Or maybe he just sees which way the wind is blowing.
He's got Nick Clegg, who runs his.
Policy for him and Nick is a former UK politician who is pretty liberal.
I mean, he believed in a wealth tax and he's now in charge of the policy.
He says, Look, you know, maybe we overdid it.
We overdid it.
This is according to a brand new article in the FT.
We overdid it.
We had too much content moderation, and so maybe we need to back off that.
Quote Per the Financial Times, Meta has conceded it was too heavy handed with certain content moderation in the past.
In an overture to Donald Trump as its chief executive, Mark Zuckerberg seeks a quote active role in shaping tech policy debates with incoming U.S. administration.
Sir Nick Clegg, Meta's president of global affairs, said the social media platform obviously overdid it a bit when moderating pandemic related content, a concession that appears designed to placate the president elect who has repeatedly accused the company of censorship and silencing conservative speech.
Look, I don't know what they really believe.
I know that for like Three days my channel got opened up around Facebook.
And then somehow the automated system decided I was actually about to hold political office.
Hey, you know, maybe I'm going to be the next chairman of the Fed.
I'm teasing.
I'm not going to hold political office.
I have no interest in holding political office.
I like very much what I'm doing here.
I am a full-time podcaster and a mom.
And no, I'm not holding political office.
But for some reason, someone at Facebook thinks that that's what I am or am about to do.
So just for everyone over at Facebook.
No, Trish Regan is not going to be part of this administration.
Trish Regan is going to stay here as host of the Trish Regan show, where I will happily contribute my thoughts to whatever the administration is doing, good or bad, every single day, the journalist that I am, all right?
So I mentioned that just because they completely demonetized the page and they said, no, you can't make any money on this.
And, you know, they're shadowing my ability to go out and reach you, which is why I'm really happy to be here streaming live on YouTube every single day, Monday through Friday.
Make sure you sign up, you subscribe, share, like, all that good stuff.
I mention it.
And by the way, we're not running live on Facebook today because apparently every time I do, I just get in trouble.
We're not there today.
And it's a shame because this is a very popular show.
We've just been exploding.
By the way, the video is on Spotify right now, too.
I'd love it if you could go over there and just give it five stars and subscribe because it helps.
It helps.
Every single bit helps.
But I am committed to doing this and I'm relieved and happy that I can have the platform to do this.
So I don't know.
Like, I want to take them at their word.
Immigration Deportation Controversy00:15:14
I think that everybody's been through a lot.
I'd like to think that they're turning over a new leaf.
We shall see.
You know what?
Verify, right?
Trust but verify.
It's a quote, Reagan.
Listen, you know, just a quick shout again because we do have some wonderful sponsors on the show, American Heart for Gold being one of them.
Trish loves gold.
That's where you need to go.

We also have balance in nature.
I love these guys.
And it's really important this time of year because let's face it, like everybody has a diet crash around December, me included, right?
It's not exactly easy with all the festivities going on.
So it's really important that you take care of yourself.
And, you know, these aren't diet pills per se.
Maybe that's not the right word to use.
But in terms of one's overall diet, I like to make sure that I get enough fruits, enough vegetables so that I'm getting all of my vitamins.
And the truth is, I don't always do that.
And this is where Balance in Nature comes in really, really handy.
Balanceinnature.com, you can get up to 50% off plus free shipping today if you go to balanceinnature.com and use my name, code word Trish, code word Trish.
Anyway, it's very interesting how they're all running down to Mar-a-Lago to kiss the ring.
And, you know, Trump's having some fun with this.
Trump just totally humiliated Justin Trudeau.
You know, the guy up in Canada who runs the show there.
He went down to Mar-a-Lago.
And, you know, the he's getting some heat from Donald Trump about this border thing, right?
Because the border is a problem, both on the northern side and on the southern side.
I lived right next to it in New Hampshire.
We border Canada.
There are a lot of French speakers that would come down, but apparently they're having trouble with all kinds of people coming down.
And this is what Donald Trump is so upset about.
It's not to the same extent, obviously, as Mexico is, but it's still a problem because it's a weak entry point.
And he's saying, listen, Justin, you got to get a handle on this.
If you don't get a handle on this, I'm putting 25% tariffs on all of you.
And so Justin Trudeau, after hearing this, flew down to Mar a Lago to have this dinner.
And apparently, the president elect completely humiliated him because he told him, he's like, Trump, we can't survive.
If you put 25% tariffs on Canada, like, we're not going to make it.
We financially can't handle that.
And he said, well, gosh, then maybe we should just take you over, right?
Maybe you just become the 51st state in the United States of America.
We'll welcome you, we'll take you in.
And well, he didn't appreciate that.
Here we go.
And tonight we're getting some new details about that Trump Trudeau dinner from two people who were at the table.
We are told that when Trudeau told President elect Trump that new tariffs would kill the Canadian economy, Trump joked to him that if Canada can't survive without ripping off the U.S. to the tune of $100 billion a year, then maybe Canada should become the 51st state and Trudeau could become its governor.
How do you like that?
You know, the only problem is Canada is really liberal.
I mean, really, really.
Kamala grew up there, right?
In the French speaking town of Montreal.
So they're really liberal, which means that might become a problem.
I mean, we don't necessarily want them, right?
But I get a kick out of the whole thing.
Listen, Trudeau's taking these threats pretty seriously.
Here he is reacting to the news of the threat of 25% tariffs.
He called Donald Trump immediately, promised cooperation on the border.
Here he is, moments after that call.
I had a good call with Donald Trump last night again.
We obviously talked about laying out the facts, talking about how the intense and effective connections between our two countries flow back and forth.
We talked about some of the challenges that we can work on together.
It was a good call.
This is something that we can do.
Laying out the facts.
Moving forward in constructive ways.
This is a relationship that we know takes a certain amount of working on, and that's what we'll do.
One of the really important things is that we be all pulling together on this.
The Team Canada approach is what works.
That's where, putting aside partisanship, that's where I reached out immediately to Doug Ford to agree with him that we would have a First Minister's meeting this week to talk about the United States.
Talked with Francois Legault and some other premiers as well.
There's work to do, but we know how to do it.
J'ai eu un bon appel avec Donald Trump.
Okay, and then he flips into French.
Okay, so in other words, they're paying attention.
And you know what?
Mexico's paying attention too, a little bit, because you know Mexico has suddenly realized that it's going to be a problem for them as well.
So it turns out that Claudia Scheinborn, the president of Mexico, has just broken up two caravans that were headed straight for our border.
You know, the border thing is pretty serious.
And I want to share with you some breaking news that just crossed right now, because the mayor of New York has just promised that he.
Will cooperate.
He will cooperate with Tom Homan and everyone at ICE and the federal government and Donald Trump to get the migrants, the criminal migrants, most definitely right out of New York City.
Listen to this.
Those who are here committing crimes, robberies, shooting at police officers, raping innocent people, have been a harm to our country.
I want to sit down and hear the plan on how we're going to address them.
Those are the people I am talking about, and I would love to sit down with the Borders are and hear his thoughts.
On how we're going to address those who are harming our citizens.
You're open to that.
Open to?
To hearing what their plan is to deport some of these folks, and you think the city, in some circumstances, should cooperate with us.
Let me, let me, you know what's interesting, and I was talking to the team the other day.
I want you to all go back and Google Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama.
Google what they said about those who commit crimes in our city and what they said in our country.
They said those who commit crimes need to get out right away.
That was their position.
So, this is not a new position, you know, because in the state of, in the era of cancel culture, no one is afraid to be honest about the truth.
Well, cancel me because I'm going to protect the people of the city.
And if you come into this country, in this city, and think you're going to harm innocent New Yorkers and innocent migrants and asylum seekers, this is not the mayor you want to be in the city under.
Wow.
All right.
Like, what has happened to the world?
I mean, all the lefties that were like, how dare you?
You don't come near.
You don't come near our migrants.
Like, all of a sudden, they're singing a really different tune.
That was the mayor of New York that just crossed it, just came in right now.
Fresh, hot off the presses.
And it sounds kind of similar to what Kathy Hoswell, the Governor of the state of New York is now saying as well, listen to this, you guys, because this is revolutionary.
This is not at all what Kamala Harris was talking about.
This is not at all what we have been hearing from Joy Reid and Rachel Maddow and everybody over there on MSNBC.
This is new.
Our immigration system is woefully broken.
It's been broken for decades.
There was an opportunity to make meaningful change that the Republicans in the House of Representatives killed.
And they should be held accountable for that.
But we need to fix the border, fix the system.
But I'll tell you this.
Those who come here legally, we want to get them jobs.
I have 460,000 open jobs in the state of New York.
I want them to get the proper work permits.
I want them to keep their temporary protective status, if that's what they have.
I want to make sure that they're part of contributing to society while they're here.
That's separate from people who are criminals.
Someone breaks the law, I'll be the first one to call up ICE and say, get them out of here.
So there is a difference in categories of individuals.
And so I just had a meeting this morning with my team that's been studying.
All the other, all the scenarios that could play out over the next few months and what we need to do to prepare.
We'll be announcing more about that and also making sure that our final request to the Biden administration are secure, and so that's something else again i'll do.
I'll do a report on what we've achieved in the next couple of weeks.
Just to be clear, are you supportive or not supportive of deporting undocumented immigrants whose only crime is either crossing the border or overseeing if they're here with legal papers, like they came, and they're seeking asylum like this?
This 224,000 people came to New York.
They're here legally in search of asylum.
And that process will play out.
But there are other people who commit crimes or are known to be criminals before they arrived here.
When those are identified, I'll be the first one to help get rid of them.
I don't want them here.
I don't want anybody.
Guys, this is just really, really different than what we've heard before.
It's been so bad.
Think about this that they were refusing.
I mean, these criminals have been turned loose, they're locked up, and then they let them out loose.
Again, it's wild.
I mean, you think about poor Daniel Penny.
Remember the guy who was trying to save some people on the subway?
And they won't let him go on bail, right?
They get some astronomical bail number, but you're a migrant and you do something bad and they release you.
It's catch and release, catch and release, catch and release.
And so here's some numbers that were just revealed.
This is crazy.
Nearly 60,000 migrants in the city of New York are criminals.
Like, what the heck is going on?
Read these stats.
Out of the 759,218 illegal border crosses now living in the five boroughs, they call New York City home.
7.7% were either previously convicted of crimes or had criminal charges pending.
This is according to ICE.
But instead of rounding them up, what do they do?
They give them free hotels with maid service.
They give them $350 in food vouchers.
There's a whole thing going on because the mayor of New York, Eric Adams, he just said, no more food vouchers.
We're not doing that anymore.
We can't afford it.
All kinds of protests about that.
I mean, 60,000 criminals, felony records roaming around the Big Apple, totally free.
You get 670,000 migrants with criminal records that we know about.
That are here in this country.
Like, what are they doing?
What are they trying to do?
Tom Homan, he's now in charge of the border.
I know him well.
He's been on this show, he's been on my other shows throughout the years, and he means business.
And he's like, let me into these jails.
I need to arrest these people and deport them ASAP.
And if you don't let me into your jails, then guess what?
I'm going into the neighborhoods.
I don't have a choice.
Watch them.
We're not asking you to be immigration officers, we're asking you to assist us.
In the jails, let us in the jail to rest the bad guy.
Because if we can't rest the bad guy in the jail, in the safety and security of a jail, that means they release him back in the community.
They're screaming and yelling, they don't want ICE officers in their neighborhoods.
Well, guess what?
If you don't let us in the jail, you are forcing us into the neighborhood.
More officers in the jail means less officers in the neighborhood.
It's just simple math.
Hmm.
Right.
But no one, we know this, no one in Washington, D.C. can do math unless it adds up to something in their own pocket.
Here you go.
They're giving them the red carpet treatment, free lodgings, money for food, airline tickets anywhere in the world.
My gosh.
My gosh.
One of those free hotels, ladies and gentlemen, happens to be the Roosevelt Hotel, a very storied hotel, Midtown East in New York City.
And, uh, This is unbelievable.
The Roosevelt Hotel rakes in some $220 million a year to house these illegal migrants.
This is from New York City taxpayers.
But it turns out the Roosevelt Hotel isn't actually owned by an American or the city of New York or anyone in New York.
It's owned by a Pakistani airline group, which is owned by the state government of Pakistan.
How do you like that?
It's unbelievable.
Unbelievable.
This lease agreement.
Look at that pretty hotel.
They were bragging about this in a press conference.
They were bragging about how it's going to generate 220 US dollars for the Pakistan government.
This is the Minister of Railways and Aviation.
My gosh.
I mean, the.
The twisted nature of this is really, I mean, like Vivek and Elon and Doge cannot start soon enough.
Vivek tweeted this out and he said, A taxpayer funded hotel for illegal migrants is owned by the Pakistani government, which means New York City taxpayers are effectively paying a foreign government to house illegals in our own country.
This is nuts.
You can say it again, right?
Completely, totally, utterly nuts.
So, what I would like to know is who's getting paid off in this scheme.
Somebody's making some money somewhere.
Somebody's getting a cut.
Because it doesn't actually make any intuitive sense that we are paying and subsidizing Pakistan, which is not exactly like a huge friend of ours, with New York City taxpayer dollars so that Pakistan can get paid to house illegal migrants, 7.7% of which have criminal records in the city of New York.
I mean, this is bonkers.
So Doge is coming into action, and I'm telling you, Doge is taking no prisoners.
Now, to put this in context with other costs, these are all adjusted for inflation, okay?
Doge Exposes Illegal Costs00:03:04
That's really important.
This is what the New York Times does not do.
They don't adjust anything for inflation.
They just tell you wages are going up.
Well, they're not.
They're not when adjusted for inflation.
Okay, so World War I, $334 billion.
So wait a second.
We are paying roughly half of what we shelled out for World War I to house illegal migrants in this country.
The Apollo space program, $257 billion is what it cost us.
So, I mean, it's almost as much as that.
The Manhattan Project was $30 billion.
Hey, the Panama Canal, we built that one for $15.2, the Hoover Dam, $1 billion.
What the heck are we doing spending $150, nearly $1 billion on illegal migrants, housing them?
That's messed up.
You know who talks about this?
I'm actually going to get him on the show soon.
This is my friend Kevin Roberts.
He's over at Heritage and he's got a new book out called Dawn's Early Light Taking Back Washington to Save America.
He gets into some of the challenges here and just the sort of mistakes that we have made.
I just mention it in case you're looking for some Christmas reading.
It's a good book.
I've been reading it and I'll share some excerpts from you maybe next week or so.
I like to get my little highlighter out and maybe we'll get Kevin on.
But listen, I mean, Taking back Washington to save America, it's really, really important because I don't know who's running things.
Like, who's running the show right now?
I guess the Biden family is making some money and some other people are making some money, but you got to ask yourself, like, who is in charge?
So, Dr. Roberts gets into this again, Dawn's Early Light.
You can buy it right now on Amazon.
If you go to Amazon Books, just taking back Washington to save America, it's obviously really important, really critical.
Good Christmas gift for your conservative friends.
It's very good reading.
Anyway, you got to ask, like, who's doing this?
Why are they doing this?
And is there some kind of underground effort to really hurt America and hurt the West?
And was Obama part of that?
I mean, I keep going back to Obama, right, because he really did not seem to have the interests of the US at heart.
And I think about, say, the $6 billion that went to Iran.
And yeah, we got the hostages, but yet $6 billion went to Iran.
And then shortly thereafter, we were dealing with the.
The likes of October 7th.
And so I think that there's a real effort underway globally that we don't even fully comprehend or fully understand.
Without sounding too conspiratorial on this, I do think that this sort of hate America, hate Israel theme is extraordinarily popular.
You have only to get any college campus, right, to have seen this alive and well the hatred that you saw directed at Israel.
And part of that is directed against America and directed against the West.
Right, because somehow you know you're supposed to pay the price forever of having settled this country, and you know, the you're never supposed to forgive yourself, even if you didn't.
Global Hate America Theme00:03:05
You know, my ancestors didn't come here until the potato famine, but somehow it's my fault that colonial America was settled and they killed all the Native Americans, and I should never forget that.
And I should be paying the price ever, forever going forward.
I mean, this is really dumb, really, really, really dumb.
You should be proud of this country, proud of what we've accomplished, proud of the settlers before us.
Live, live, you know, live in the moment and understand.
Through the context of an actual historic lens.
Everything's starting to shift.
I think people are starting to wake up to all of this right now.
I'm looking at the UK Prime Minister.
This was amazing.
He came out over the weekend and he said, We got a problem.
We have been a giant experiment in immigration gone wrong there in the UK, and there's some other force at work.
I want you to watch this.
I'm happy that people are waking up to it.
I hope it's not too late.
What the British people are owed is an explanation.
Because a failure on this scale isn't just bad luck, it isn't a global trend or taking your eye off the ball.
No, this is a different order of failure.
This happened by design, not accident.
Policies were reformed deliberately to liberalise immigration.
Brexit was used for that purpose.
To turn Britain into a one nation experiment in open borders.
Global Britain.
Remember that slogan?
That is what they meant.
A policy with no support, of which they then pretended wasn't happening.
Amazing.
Really amazing.
He just called it out.
There was a desire to infiltrate those borders with everyone from very different cultural backgrounds.
Why did they do that?
Why did Angela Merkel open up Germany?
I mean, was this World War II guilt that she was still suffering from?
I don't know, but they got a whole lot of problems in Germany that they shouldn't have, especially vis a vis crime on women, which just don't get me started.
It makes me really, really, really angry.
I'm sorry.
You have your cultural norms, we have ours.
And guess what?
We value and respect women.
And nothing's going to change that.
So you either adapt or you leave.
We don't want a society with gang members.
We don't want a society like New York City where you get 60,000 migrants living high off the hog in a Hotel room with daily maid service and a $350 a week credit card to go get food.
Gang members, known criminals.
I mean, this isn't, you know, prejudice in any way.
Criminal Gang Member Reality00:11:43
This is just reality.
And people need to wake up to the reality.
I think America did.
That's what happened.
And now everybody is like, okay, I can do this too.
Kathy Halchel over in New York, the governor of New York, Eric Adams, the mayor of New York City.
They don't want migrants, criminals in their state.
They don't want them in their cities.
And so finally, we're coming back to some kind of normalcy.
You've got the UK Prime Minister who feels that he can come out and speak as well.
But you've got to ask yourself what were these schmoes trying to do for all that time?
How much damage has already been inflicted on the United States of America?
51 ex spooks trying to cover for one Hunter Biden and the Biden family and the Democrat institution.
I mean, this is just gross, right?
I'm going to go back to the 60 Minutes clip.
And again, listen to it.
Listen to all of it.
I know the audio is really, really hard to hear, but think about what Leslie Stahl, the establishment 60 Minutes reporter, is saying to him.
She's like, You're wrong.
That laptop, it hasn't been verified.
You're making stuff up.
You're part of the problem.
This story about Hunter and his laptop.
Some repair shop found it.
The source is Steve Bannon and Rudy Giuliani.
I don't know anything about that.
I just know it's a laptop.
And they haven't?
And you're making this one of the hottest, most important issues in your rallies.
It's a very important issue to find out whether or not a man's corrupt, who's running for president, who's accepted money from China and from Ukraine and from Russia.
All these issues have been investigated.
You want to talk about insignificant things.
I'm telling you.
Of course it can be verified.
Excuse me.
They found the laptop.
Leslie, Leslie.
What can't be verified?
The laptop.
What?
You said.
Huh.
Okay.
Well, it turns out it was verified.
Actually, the FBI knew at the time that it was legit.
But they told you otherwise.
And then when the New York Post reported on this, they took down the New York Post's Twitter account.
And the rest is history.
So people are tired of it.
Meanwhile, you know what?
I'm just going to ask some questions.
Like, why is Biden over in Angola giving out a billion dollars of our money?
Like, what's the reason for this?
Let me show you the latest and greatest.
Hot off the presses, ladies and gentlemen.
The United States continues to be the world's largest provider of humanitarian aid and development assistance.
That's going to increase.
You know, that's the right thing for the wealthiest nation in the world to do.
And today, I'm announcing over $1 billion of new humanitarian support for Africans.
Placed from homes by historic droughts and food insecurity.
We know African leaders and citizens are seeking more than just aid.
You seek investment.
So the United States is expanding our relationship all across Africa, from assistance to aid, to investment to trade, moving from patrons to partners to help bridge the infrastructure gap.
Okay, so we're spending a billion dollars in Africa all of a sudden.
You know, a little billion here, a billion there.
I'm just wondering, like, who's in on it?
Like, who's getting a cut of some of this?
Hunter was just forgiven for his 10 years, going all the way back to the days that his dad was vice president, and he was there making money off of Burisma, which you weren't supposed to know about, right?
That was just more misinformation fed you courtesy of Rudy Giuliani and the Russians.
You weren't supposed to know about that, but it turns out he was making a lot of money off of that.
His colleague was making a lot of money off of that, not to mention Romania, not to mention China.
They were, by the way, all these traditional energy companies.
You couldn't pump for oil, couldn't drill for oil here in the United States, but all around the world, you know.
There's Hunter.
Ready, willing, and able to help you out.
I want to know.
I want to know who's getting paid off in all of this stuff.
And you know what?
I also want to know who got paid off, ladies and gentlemen, in the Kamala campaign.
That I'm curious about because, well, we've learned a little bit, right?
Our friend Oprah Winfrey, not our friend, but she made two and a half million dollars according to the New York Times.
We only knew about a million, courtesy of the Washington Examiner, but the New York Times reports that it's even more than you thought.
So Oprah got paid.
Who else got paid?
I'm betting a lot of people got paid along the way.
Well, now a major Democrat donor is calling all this out and she's saying she wants a forensic accounting.
She wants to know exactly where every dollar went because the thinking is there may have been some graph there, too.
Here we go.
And no one answered any questions about why millions of dollars were spent on starts, started concerts, celebrities.
$2.5 million went to Oprah's production company.
Oprah very well could have made an in kind contribution and covered the production costs and her employee's salary herself.
But she decided to take payment from the campaign instead.
And also, we learned recently that $500,000 was given to Al Sharpton just shortly before he interviewed Kamala Harris.
So there's a lot of conflict of interest here, and we need a careful accounting and probably more granular than the FEC report would offer.
So somebody needs to carefully explain why they decided to, for example, spend $900,000 on the sphere.
Because if we don't do that, how are voters and donors ever going to trust the Democratic Party again?
Do you think on the flip side, a little over 100 days to mount a campaign was a near impossible task?
Would there have been criticism if the Harris campaign did not spend, did not leave everything on the table to spend every single dollar they have and then some?
Isn't it common for campaigns to end in debt?
Well, when Obama ended in debt in 2012, it left the DNC in a terrible position because we had to climb out of debt.
And that took a while.
And that definitely, even Hillary Clinton cited the 2012 Obama debt as a reason why she lost because initially her campaign was at a disadvantage.
And also, there is no reason why consultants became overnight millionaires through the campaign.
There was no justification for that.
You know, these are everyday Americans, hardworking Americans, a lot of whom just gave $10 to $15.
And that was all they could do.
They pour their hearts into the campaign.
They need, they deserve answers as to why these people became millionaires, multimillionaires.
Just bear in mind that all the advertising costs, hundreds of millions of dollars, went to just four well connected firms.
That's it.
You know, the whole thing was very incestuous.
Friends took care of friends, but it's not about that.
That campaign was supposed to be spent on battleground states, making the economic case to Americans, explaining bread and butter issues, explaining how she would bring inflation down, not on lining up.
Pockets of well connected Democrats.
Wow.
Well said, right?
And that's the fear.
Is this just everybody on the take?
Everybody's on the take looking out for themselves.
I mean, heck, Reverend Al Sharpton making $500,000 for his organization just days before he sat down for that interview with Kamala Harris.
So they were paying for interviews.
You understand you don't do that as a news organization.
Like, you just don't do that, not with a presidential candidate, for goodness sakes.
That is so unbelievably unethical of Rev Sharpton.
This allegation is huge.
I said earlier in the program, Joy Reid should be fired first.
You know what?
I'd get rid of Sharpton ASAP because that is a breach unlike any other, all right?
Unacceptable.
So, what was going down in this campaign?
It was like party time.
Maybe they knew they were never going to win because they had all of Horrific news stacked against them, including inflation, including worldwide troubles, including the border, etc.
So, is everybody just out to make another buck?
You know, the amazing thing about Trump is that he's so proud of running a tight operation.
He can be a little bit cheap, He can, in a good way.
In a good way.
You know what?
You say to yourself, that's how the guy got to be a billionaire, right?
He's eating at McDonald's instead of the Ritz.
Or maybe he's eating at his own hotel and then it, you know, it's all awash.
But there's something to be said for it.
He minds.
His dimes, his pennies.
And a lot of successful billionaires that I've come across in my career, they all do that.
They all do that because you know what?
They remember what it's like when you don't have a lot.
And I think that they're never that divorced from their roots.
And maybe that's one of the reasons why he carries through in a way that Kamala simply couldn't.
Biden couldn't.
I mean, Obama definitely couldn't now.
Forget Obama, he's done.
All of these people are done.
They got it.
That girl that you just saw on television complaining about how they need an actual accounting of what went down.
How is it that four ad agencies got it all?
She's got a better future in the Democrat Party than any of these jokers.
They don't get what matters to America because they don't want to, maybe because there's some other grand plan.
And you know what, Americans aren't that stupid.
We're not so stupid enough that we're going to sit and take it anymore.
We've had it, all right?
We don't appreciate the 57% increase in car payments thanks to the insurance costs.
We don't appreciate a 50% rise in egg costs.
We don't appreciate the 70%.
Rise in K 12 school food costs.
I mean, this is out of control.
And this administration should be positively ashamed.
You tack on the darn pardon on top of it, and you got a real recipe for pawns.
But I'm looking forward to what's going to happen.
I was talking to my friend Neil Grossman.
Some of you guys know him.
He comes on the show now and then, and he's just one of the smartest people I know.
Very smart.
I mean, like a PhD in math, a PhD in physics from Cambridge, and a law degree, you throw that in from Columbia.
an undergrad in engineering.
I mean, Neil is absolutely brilliant and he's been very, very successful and owns a wonderful vineyard now and has a beautiful family and just a great guy.
And I talked to him last night and he's like, I really wonder, like, what's up?
What was up?
What were they trying to do?
They were really trying to dupe us somehow.
And I look at it and say, like, none of it makes any sense.
George Clooney's paying the price, right?
BRIC Currency vs Dollar00:07:28
He's all upset.
He's fuming because he got seduced by Barack Obama.
Did he really get seduced, or was the promise that you're going to be that much greater, that much better, that much more successful if you just join the team?
He's basically been, frankly, I mean, dare I say, for lack of a better word, kind of a pinup boy for the Democrat Party for this long.
You get George Clooney to come to your events, George Clooney will come to the fundraiser, Julia Roberts maybe too, and suddenly everybody in town wants to be there.
Those days are over.
Those people don't matter anymore.
That's what's great.
His movie's not doing well.
Brad Pitt's mad at him.
His wife is mad at him.
He's mad at his wife, Amal Clooney, big supporter of Gaza, hates Israel.
Guess what?
That's over.
That's over, over, over, over.
We are the United States of America.
We're ready, willing, and able to fight back, and we will be successful.
Did you see what Donald Trump said about the BRIC countries recently?
This was great.
Let me see if I can find this for you because over the weekend, I loved this.
He came out against some of these BRIC countries.
You know, it actually caused quite a bit of a stir.
There was a lot of sort of Mixed signaling, and some people were upset, some people were happy with it.
But basically, he said, There's no way in H E L L L that these brick countries are going to create their own currency and do their own thing over my dead body.
Here we go.
I love this.
Donald Trump putting all these BRIC countries, by BRIC, I mean Brazil, Russia, India, China, all on notice.
You guys think you want to do your own thing.
You think you want to actually get together and create your own little currency.
Good luck.
He really gave it to them.
The idea that the BRIC countries are trying to move away from the dollar while we stand by and watch is over.
We require a commitment from these countries.
That they will neither create a new BRICS currency nor back any other currency to replace the mighty US dollar, king dollar, king dollar, king dollar, my word's not his, or they will face 100% tariffs and should expect to say goodbye to selling into the wonderful US economy.
Bye, we don't need you.
They can go find another sucker.
There is no chance that the BRICS will replace the US dollar in international trade, and any country that tries should wave goodbye to America.
You know what?
That's the attitude you need.
It is.
I mean, I don't mean to be crude or crass about this, but we need to recognize the power that we have.
You get a bunch of weaklings that have been sitting on their thumbs, you know, or sucking their thumbs and twirling their hair saying, Well, what do we do?
What do we do?
What if they create their own currency?
They're not going to create their own currency unless we let them.
I mean, everybody wants to do business with the USA, do they not?
I understand.
I sympathize.
You know, it's not great when the US suddenly.
Put sanctions on you and you can't get your money.
I get it, believe me.
And maybe the answer is we do a little less sanctioning and we do a little bit more vis a vis tariffs.
You're not playing by our rules?
Well, you're not allowed access to this market as much.
I think that actually makes sense.
And you know what?
You get a great Treasury Secretary in there by way of Scott.
And Scott's going to be able to actually use those tariffs alongside the president to kind of get the policy in place that they want, that we need as a country to be successful.
We have sat back and we've kind of allowed this whole thing to happen, and we pretend like there's nothing we can do other than maybe send troops.
Well, who the heck wants to send troops?
I'd rather lose dollars, thank you very much, than lives.
And so, this is a chance for us to rethink how we go about this.
So, all of these BRIC countries have just been put on notice.
The US dollar is still it.
Realistically, it would be hard for them to create any kind of countercurrency.
I mean, do you really want?
Chinese yuan?
Do you really want rubles?
No, of course you don't.
You don't.
No one does.
All right.
Like we don't even want euros.
Okay.
The truth is, you want dollars.
That is what matters globally.
The US dollar.
And it's going to continue to matter, but you need a president who's willing to kind of come out there and put the US first.
America first policy.
That's what this is about.
Finally, we get somebody who's putting it into play.
And this matters.
It really, really, really matters.
It's a lot happening.
I'm kind of revved up, as you can see.
I'm kind of excited.
I think there's good things ahead.
Very, very good things.
I think this is a chance to really set things right in a way that just absolutely needed to be done.
It could not happen soon enough.
I see.
Okay, you guys are talking about the bricks.
I like what David says.
Yeah, no way.
No, wow.
It's not happening.
It's not happening.
And he made that very, very clear.
David, David pointing out that rubles are so poorly valued.
Look, I would also say that the reality about these BRIC countries, I mean, from an investing standpoint, is that they've just been so over, right?
Just so, so, so over.
It has not been a successful investment.
International, really, just overall, has not been so great.
The U.S. has been the place to be.
You think about.
You think about the MAG seven and how they have so much dominance over the SP.
And I believe if you actually look at their market cap, they equate for something like 67% of the world's wealth.
So the U.S. still has it going on.
I mean, this is why Mark Zuckerberg wants in.
This is why Mark Zuckerberg from Meta doesn't want to be excluded from all this.
He's one of those MAG seven.
And, you know, it's the right thing for shareholders for him to at least have a seat at the table because you do want the U.S. having this.
Success, right?
You want the U.S. being out in front of everything right now so that the U.S. can dominate the next century.
And I think there's a chance for us to do that in a pretty meaningful way.
Hey, it is so good to have you all here.
I'm looking at some of your comments here.
Andy, welcome.
Selma, welcome.
Toronto, welcome.
I see my friend Don is back.
He mentions I speak Spanish and see.
Es la verdad.
Yo hablo español.
Estudia ver en Espanha.
Para un verano.
Anyway, so, okay, I'm getting carried away.
I don't mean to go into Spanish on all of you, but yes, I do speak Spanish.
Javier Millet, yes, you know what?
I should do that, Don.
Wouldn't that be great?
Go down to Argentina and interview Javier Millet.
Of course, maybe I don't even have to go to Argentina.
We will look into that on the team.
It would be terrific.
He is such a character.
One of my Argentine friends who had some misgivings about him initially, she's like, oh my gosh, he's doing great things for the country.
It's just amazing to see.
And I can tell you, people I know at the IMF, they love him too.
So, I mean, when you get the people and the IMF all saying, wow, you know, there's actually some.
Some, they're there, and we can actually really start to make some meaningful changes.
