You're listening to the Liberty News Radio Network, and this is the Political Cesspool.
The Political Cesspool, known across the South and worldwide as the South's foremost populist conservative radio program.
And here to guide you through the murky waters of the Political Cesspool is your host, James Edwards.
The con works like this.
Blacks claim racism.
They scream and demonstrate.
Their leaders fly in to pump up the excitement.
The press clucks about oppression.
Lickspittle whites join the demonstrations.
Eventually, the facts come out, and they are nothing like what was initially claimed, but it makes no difference.
Blacks are so drunk on indignation that the facts don't matter.
And whites are so drunk on self-righteousness that they can't see they were flim flammed.
We've seen this over and over.
Trayvon Martin, the Duke rape hoax, the Gina 6, Tawana Brawley, the Campton cookout, USC San Diego fraud, and America's never-ending stream of hate crime hoaxes.
Why do we always fall for the same trick?
Those are the opening two paragraphs in Jared Taylor's excellent article, which can be found on the American Renaissance website this evening.
Of course, Jared is the editor of American Renaissance.
And folks, with that being said, we will be spending the entire show this evening trying to digest all that we've seen over the course of the last two weeks as it pertains to Ferguson, Missouri.
Welcome to the Political Cesspool, everybody.
I'm your host, James Edwards.
It is Saturday evening, August the 23rd, before we dive into what will be an exhaustive commentary on the situation, the rioting, the looting, the incident that set it all into motion there in Missouri.
We're going to first open the show with our typical welcome and salutations and a few announcements if we can.
Very hot day in Memphis today.
It's 100 degrees.
The humidity is stifling, and it's 115 with the heat index.
That's what it feels like outside.
And let me tell you, it very much feels like that.
I was outside a little bit today.
I want to send my love out to Eddie the Bombardier Miller.
Eddie Miller, 67 years old.
You know, he's training not just for the St. Jude Marathon this year, which he's run the last couple of years.
It's a 26.2-mile marathon in December here in Memphis.
So he's training for it right now.
Eddie's also flying up in November to New York to run in the New York Marathon.
So 67 years old, going to be running in two 26-mile marathons, back-to-back in New York and Memphis, respectively, in November, December, respectively.
Well, Eddie was out training in this heat today, in this oppressive heat, and collapsed and was sent to the emergency room, the ICU, at the VA.
Of course, Eddie is a distinguished veteran, two honorable discharges, and so he got to go to the VA.
But he is fine, and he is back on his feet, apparently, but a scare there.
So we want to send our love out to Eddie the Bombardier Miller just right out of the gates this evening.
He will not be with us, obviously, tonight, which is rare, but that is the reason why.
Now, on to a little bit better news.
I got an email today, and I'd like to share it with you amidst the mountain of mail that we receive every week, whether it be snail mail or email.
I got this in today, and it just really goes to show what we're doing here.
And I hadn't had an opportunity yet to write this gentleman back, and I promise you that I will.
But I wanted to share it with everyone here right out of the gates as we begin the show tonight.
It reads, Mr. Edwards, I just wanted to write you and say how much I enjoy your show.
I just recently discovered the political cesspool for the first time this past Saturday evening.
It was so refreshing to hear some of the same views that I share.
I'm in radio myself in the sports talk radio field, and the strict limitations on what we can say and can't say prevents me from ever really giving my actual opinions and thoughts on the air.
If I even get near the boundary of political correctness, I know I'll be brought in for a meeting with my boss who needs to keep our corporate overlords happy.
Needless to say, I admire you and your show, where you can give your opinion freely.
I particularly enjoyed your interview with Sean Bergen, who reported on the events in Ferguson and exposed the liberal media for what they are.
We are under strict orders not to even mention the Michael Brown case on air, as it does nothing but incite tension, especially at a sports talk station with the predominantly black listenership.
Anytime I stray from sports talk into any sort of social or political commentary, I risk getting in trouble.
It's nice to hear a show like yours that is not afraid to do just that.
He signs it with his name.
And, you know, folks, that's really what we're here to do.
And, you know, we get these emails all the time, and each one is just as special and just as meaningful as the previous or the one to come next.
And sometimes we receive these emails from listeners who write in for the first time saying they've been listening to this show religiously for years, six, seven, eight years or more in some cases.
And then this gentleman on the other end of that spectrum writes in after just listening to his first show last Saturday night when we did the remote broadcast in Nashville.
And I'm not going to mention this man's name, not even his first name, over the air tonight, but he knows who he is and I know who he is.
And it's very much an honor, sir.
Welcome to the Political Cesspool and welcome to the Liberty News Radio Network, a place where the freedom of speech reigns supreme.
And God bless you for taking the time to write.
We're glad that you found your political home on the radio dial, whether you're tuning in on one of our affiliate stations across the country or tuning in via the internet as so many people do each and every Saturday night.
We're happy to have you and happy to welcome you as one of the newest members of our ever-growing listening audience.
And it's great to read stuff like that.
And it comes in from all over the world.
Keith Alexander just walked into the studio here and he picked up a postcard that came in the mail the same day this week that I received this email.
It comes from a listener in London.
He says, hi, James, you are going great guns.
Winston Smith is brilliant and kudos to Scoop.
We got him on the run.
And that's from John in London, a regular listener and a regular contributor to the Cesspool.
And we're always grateful to receive his handwritten postcard.
So whether it's email, snail mail, thank you for providing the wind in our sales and for sharing with us your feedback, your praise and your constructive criticism alike.
We're all in this together and it's great to serve as your voice in the radio and to be part of the same family with you.
So Keith Alexander, you know, Keith made his re-emergence onto the political cesspool after a brief hiatus to tend to business.
Keith was on with us up in Nashville last week and he's back in the studio for the first time in several weeks.
And hand in glove, my friend, great to have you here.
Great to be back.
I see that things have, if anything, picked up rather than slowed down during my vacation.
It's great to be back.
I feel like I've been thrown right in the middle of the pit of perdition here.
I mean, this thing in Ferguson, Missouri is absolutely incredible.
And I don't know if we're going to unpack that more or what you've got planned for tonight, but this seems to be the story that the gift that keeps on giving for all of us because they will not let this one die.
You know, they're on it like a bulldog on a bloody bone.
Well, Keith, Just as it happens, I'm planning on focusing the entirety of our broadcast tonight, save those opening messages to the situation in Ferguson.
I've done a couple of radio interviews.
I was lucky enough to be a guest on the Liberty Roundtable show.
On Wednesday, I was on with Richard Spencer for his podcast with Radix Journal.
That's not yet been posted, but we taped that on Thursday.
And on Monday, I'll be going back over the seas in a manner of speaking.
reappearing as a guest on the Antidote show, very popular conservative broadcast out of Sweden.
You may remember them, folks.
I was a guest on Antidote with Jonas DeGuerre after my experience on that Swedish reality show that I taped last October for a couple of days.
And they had me on, I believe it was in January, to talk about that experience and other things as well.
Anyway, I'm going to be back on their show on Monday.
And I think the last time I was on with them, we had something like 10 or 15,000 people download that after it aired live.
So a big audience there.
We're making the rounds, and we're going to be talking about Ferguson tonight, so stay tuned.

Ladies and gentlemen, I don't know what's more disturbing.
What we've seen in Ferguson over the course of the past two weeks or the fact that Keith Alexander walked in here and sat down next to me eating a salad.
He knows I can't work in these conditions.
He knows be doing that kind of stuff in front of me.
Eating greens, man.
Come on, Keith.
How long have we been friends?
You're going to come in, and after a few weeks off, you come in here, and this is how, okay, well, I guess we better get serious here, because I'm telling you, in the 10 years that I've been on the radio, I believe that this situation in Ferguson may prove and eventually become the biggest single story that we've ever covered.
Not because it is a big story based upon what it appears as though the facts may be.
A justifiable self-defense shooting by an officer with a sterling record and reputation, apparently protecting himself from someone who was a thug, to put it mildly.
We're going to get into all this, but the media has taken everything they put into the Trayvon Martin scenario and magnified it.
They put it into nuclear radiation, and it is just mutated into something.
I mean, in the facts of this case, seem to be, to an objective observer, even more cut and dry than Trayvon Martin.
And that one wasn't very hard to decipher.
But here it seems that the situation is even more clear.
But, well, like I said, we're going to be getting into it, and we're going to be staying into it for pretty much the entire show.
I want to read just a couple of more paragraphs from Jared Taylor's excellent article.
It's featured at thepolitical cesspool.org.
In fact, every article at our website this week, from an article by Lloyd Marcus to Jared Taylor to Gregory Hood and some of the other writers at Radix Journal and American Renaissance sites that we frequent, every article that we've posted this week pertains to Ferguson, except for one article that we put up last night dealing with the beheading, apparent beheading of James Foley.
Interesting take on that that we posted.
We didn't write it, but we hijacked it and posted it to our site.
But yeah, Ferguson has the sole focus of our attention and not just ours, but really every media, for better or for worse, in the United States of America this week.
Jared Taylor continues.
I'll read a couple more passages.
Jared wanted to be on tonight.
He is on a flight as we broadcast live this evening.
Jared is in the air, 30,000 feet above us, and he will be joining us as our guest next week, because I'm telling you, this will still be news next week, and the week after that, and the week after that, and the week after that.
But Jared does write this.
It may be that the police shooting of Michael Brown in Ferguson, Missouri that touched off a week of black riots was unjustified.
But let us recall the very first version of events, the one that set blacks screaming into the streets.
Brown's pal, Dorian Johnson, went on the air and claimed that he and Brown were walking in the middle of the street.
A white cop told them to get on the sidewalk and then blazed away at Brown when he refused.
He says Brown's hands were in the air and was saying, I don't have a gun, don't shoot, when the cop poured lead into him from 20 or 30 feet away.
There's probably not a single sworn peace officer anywhere in the United States who would shoot an unarmed black man with his hands in the air from 20 feet away.
That's about as likely as the entire white lacrosse team gang raping a black stripper.
But that is what the press reported, along with a vague police report of a struggle for the guns officer, or for the officer's gun, rather.
And it sent thousands of people into the streets around with their arm in the air pretending to be innocent black men about to be shot.
The essential point is this, that the public doesn't yet know what happened, though there is enough evidence now coming out that it looks bad for the six-foot, four-inch, 294-pound gentle giant.
He was high on marijuana, had just apparently committed a strong-armed robbery, may have fractured the white cop's eye socket in a struggle, and may have been charging straight for the officer when he was shot.
Now, how do we know these things that Jared puts forth here in his piece?
Well, we know from the autopsy that all of the bullets were received in the front, not the back.
We know from the autopsy that there were drugs in this man's system.
Pat Buchanan, by the way, we've also featured a couple of his pieces at our website today.
If you want what I believe to be a collection of some of the finest pieces printed yet on this matter, Boyd Marcus, Jared Taylor, Gregory Hood, Pat Buchanan, we've got a compilation for you at thepolitical cesspool.org.
So many facets to get into this thing.
The scope of this, Keith, is so big, and we're going to try to cover as much as we can tonight.
And then we'll just continue with guests next week.
We're not even going to have guests tonight.
It's just so we can keep it all in-house.
That's how much stuff we have to sort through.
But Keith, you've made a career working within the legal system.
What's your initial take on it?
Just a cursory review of everything before we dive into particulars.
Well, it's obvious that, at least in the eyes of the official civil rights black community, that the basic premise of our Anglo-Saxon-based justice system, they do not share.
They do not share the idea that an accused is innocent until proven guilty.
Instead, they want you to believe that an allegation is true until disproven.
And that's the way they proceed.
And furthermore, it's quite obvious in the Ferguson situation that they're not going to accept anything in this officer's head on a pike.
Just like in Trayvon Martin, they want to make sure that the supposed white racist perpetrator is punished regardless of his guilt or innocence.
This is, you know, and this only happens in the rare situations where a black person is killed by a white person or a non-black person in the case of George Zimmerman, who, of course, wasn't white, but Hispanic.
If the much more common situation occurs, which is a black man being killed by another black man, you will occasionally get some frustrated neighborhood or group saying, stop the madness.
Some black group in particular will say, stop madness.
In other words, it's mad for black people to kill one another.
But if a black person kills a white person, it's keep up the good work, I guess.
You see that happening a lot more than you see white people killing black people.
But none of this amounts to a hill of beans in the topsy-turvy world that we live in today in which political correctness reigns.
And don't confuse us with the facts, James.
This is a dimple on A pimple on a dimple on a gnat's ass of the murders that happen in America.
Almost 70% of murders are perpetrated by blacks in America that only represent 13% of the population.
That is never noted in the mainstream media.
And if it's noted anywhere, the person noting it is denounced as a racist.
The truth apparently is racist.
This fable that keeps being foisted on us by the left, which is in control of all the high ground in America, they're in control of all the institutions, the news media, the entertainment industry, our churches, our charities, our higher educational institutions, you name it.
They all keep pounding the drum of misinformation.
And basically, if you don't listen to anything except the mainstream media, you're going to get this idea that there's some truth in this blatant falsehood that is foisted on America.
And the Ferguson situation is probably the most, you know, the most featured item of this sort that we've seen yet.
It's like they have honed and refined their skills on inaccurate, race-based reporting in Trayvon Martin.
And now they're bringing it to a new level in Ferguson.
Excellent commentary, Keith.
And listen, folks, I guarantee you, we are not going to run out of gas tonight.
It is me and Keith Alexander for the full three hours this evening as Eddie recovers from his marathon.
God bless you, brother.
Get better.
Get back here with us.
Winston Smith will be out tonight as well.
So it's me and Keith, and we've got more than we could ever pack into three hours of commercial radio, and it's all coming your way tonight.
If you're interested in Ferguson, stay tuned.
We're just getting warmed up.

There are quite a few reasons for the precarious state of our civilization and our people, but one of the main ones is that we have lost the intellectual and moral high ground to a cultural elite that is hostile to our people and our culture.
Those of us who are politically aware must understand that the elites dominating culture and the political process in the West are intellectually and morally bankrupt.

So Ferguson, I mean, where do you start when you're covering this?
How do you sift through the outrageous presentation that we've been subjected to by most of the mainstream entities?
I mean, it's very hard to do.
But as Keith mentioned, you have in this country, or supposed to have, the presumption of innocence until proven guilty in a court of law.
Certainly, this has not been afforded to this officer because he was unlucky enough to have been born white and had to protect himself, apparently, from the accosting of a black man.
So he has been proven guilty, assumed guilty, until proven innocent.
And even if he's proven innocent, as George Zimmerman was, it really isn't going to help him in the long run.
The situation in Ferguson is out of control.
It is out of control.
I mean, this rioting, this looting, that it has not been quelled in two weeks, that it is still going on, is absolutely unfathomable.
And we're going to talk about that as we progress.
But I do want to say this, and I never thought I would say this, but I've been watching a lot of this coverage with my father recently.
And Fox News, you know, I'm no fan of Fox News.
I'm no fan really of any of the, obviously, to say the least, no fan of any of the establishment networks, but this case is just so outrageous.
And the only way to really present it is just so readily apparent that even Fox News is getting it right.
And they're not just getting it right.
I've tuned in to some of Bill O'Reilly's coverage, some of Megan Kelly's coverage, and they have said nothing more or nothing less than you would hear on the Political Cesspool radio program.
And I mean that.
They have done give credit where credit is due, broken clocks right twice a day, a blind acorn funds, a blind hog funds an acorn, whatever.
They have done a great job.
They have really done a great job in really shutting down this bogus narrative that all black men are just being hunted down by racist white cops, and this guy didn't have a chance because he was black and black men, they're an endangered species when they go out.
This could happen to anybody.
They've put a stop to it.
O'Reilly, Megan Kelly, even Charles Krauthammer, for God's sake, Charles Krauthammer has sounded like James Edwards this week on Fox News.
And in the meantime, what is the administration doing?
I'm going to start with this and then turn it over to Keith.
What is the administration doing?
The Obama administration has basically appointed race hoaxer extraordinaire Al Sharpton, the mastermind behind this Tawana Brawley farce, fiasco.
He has basically knighted Sharpton to be his eyes and ears in Ferguson.
Now, that really happened.
Eric Holder has visited.
Now, what is the Attorney General of the United States doing in a case like this?
Injecting himself into a case like this.
Eric Holder went to Ferguson, and the first thing he said was, I come here not as the Attorney General of the United States, but as a black man.
Now, I wonder which way his bias is going to skew, Keith?
Well, can you imagine if one of the numerous former white Attorney Generals of the United States had shown up, let's say, at Selma, Alabama in 1965 or at the University of Mississippi in 1962 and said, I'm coming here not as the Attorney General of the United States, but as a white man.
I mean, he would be vilified.
He would be in the Rogues Gallery Hall of Shame along with Bull Conner, George Wallace, Theodore Bilbo, or you name it.
But apparently, it's perfectly all right for a black government official, a highly placed black government official, to come forth and say that he is going to be a racist.
That's exactly what Eric Holder is saying.
He's putting America on notice that he is a racist and will be a racist and intends to use the power and authority of his governmental position to further the cause of black racism.
That's as simple as it gets.
Now, this whole thing, this whole episode is one more chapter in a long saga that we have that shows in America that our governmental institutions that were basically derived from our Anglo-Saxon ancestors,
the founding stock of America, just do not work when non-white people tend to predominate in the situation.
The jury system is a perfect example.
You know, this is a criminal law situation that we're dealing with here in Ferguson, Missouri.
In the civil law area, we hear all the time about runaway juries and the need for tort reform to curb runaway juries.
Well, what are runaway juries?
These are juries that decide to ignore the evidence and give large jury awards.
What you never hear, the truth, the inconvenient truth that you never hear spoken is that almost invariably when you have that type of situation, a runaway jury, it is a non-white jury predominantly, usually a black jury favoring a black plaintiff in a civil suit, like an automobile accident or some other type of tortuous conduct.
That's what, you know, the tort reform situation takes rights away from everybody because one segment of the population doesn't seem to be able to discharge its duties honestly and faithfully and honorably as jurors, James.
It's just that simple.
And now we're seeing the same scenario played out in the criminal law field.
And it's even more dangerous because they can give you the death penalty.
They can put you in jail for the remainder of your life over a murder.
And if you cannot depend on getting the benefit of our peculiar legal system here, the Anglo-Saxon legal system in which an accused is innocent until proven guilty, in which a jury has to follow jury instructions and can't just decide on their gut feelings what should happen in a case, then basically our entire heritage,
our entire legal heritage system, our governmental heritage is thrown out the window.
And we're going back to Africa, apparently, when it comes to the administration of justice in the United States.
This is an incredible, incredible development.
And people, I don't believe, really understand the significance of what is playing out now.
We're now seeing the media using its power to validate illegal and improper action in a courtroom setting.
This is what they're trying to do, James.
Well, Keith, there's so many ins and outs and ramifications legally.
I mean, we need to be talking about the violence and the rioting and the looting and all of that that's going on too.
Like I said, just so many facets to this.
But as you mentioned, you know, the governor of Missouri went on national television and said that this man needs to be vigorously prosecuted.
Not that he needs to be investigated, not that there needs to be a vigorous investigation of the facts and evidence, but that this man needs to be vigorously prosecuted, said that before any evidence came to light.
And what little evidence has been come to light so far, it seems to back up the case that this officer was innocent.
It's a political lynching.
It is.
It's a lynch mob mentality that seems to be holding sway here.
This is incredible.
You know, look at what they did in the Trayvon Martin case.
You had there a prosecutor that wanted to follow the law, wanted to follow the standards set by the law in determining whether or not to prosecute George Zimmerman.
You had another highly placed government official, the chief executive that was in charge.
I don't know if it was a city chief executive or the governor, but they promptly replaced the legally elected, lawfully appointed district attorney in the Zimmerman case and replaced him with some female prosecutor who they knew could be relied upon to ignore legal precedent and proceed with a prosecution.
You know, look at the Duke LaCrosse case.
You had a crooked prosecutor in that case who brought charges against certain members of the Duke La Crosse team, and it was found to be so out of bounds, so improper, that Mike Nyfong, that prosecutor, was actually disbarred by the authorities in North Carolina, by the legal authorities in North Carolina for prosecutorial misconduct.
Now, prosecutorial misconduct is now being promised by the chief executive of the state of Missouri, Norm Nixon.
This type of craven cowardice at best, or at worst, active, malicious complicity in trying to railroad somebody who is innocent into a finding of guilt is unheard of.
And this is, unfortunately, looks like it's going to be the wave of the future, Jack.
The criminalization of self-defense.
If you are white and the person coming at you is black, is that what we're seeing here?
Well, we've got so much more to talk about, folks.
We have not even scraped the tip of the iceberg tonight in our coverage of Ferguson.
Stay tuned.

Are you familiar with the term vigor?
Strength in body and mind?
He pursued his tennis game with vigor, for example.
Well, I hadn't, but I learned about it from Kurt Crosby.
All right, and he actually let me take a scientifically proven free vigor test.
And I got 13 out of 32, not very good.
But I worked on it with him, and believe it or not, now I have a 29 out of 32 and improving vigor score.
You say, Sam, what on earth is this scientific vigor score, huh?
My response is you got to take the free test available now.
Get a hold of Kurt Crosby to learn about it.
The number's 801-669-2211.
That's 801-669-2211.
Or email Kurt, C-U-R-T, at LibertyRoundtable.com.

Welcome back.
To get on the show, call us on James's Dime at 1-866-986-6397.
All right, everybody.
We're in the midst of a lot of upgrades here, new equipment, better sounding technology and all this stuff.
We've been renovating some of our equipment over the course of the last month.
A lot of it's still being integrated.
One of the things we're going to be updating is Scoop Stanton.
As a result of one day, but no, Scoop Stanton has carried a great deal of the burden of Keith's absence when Keith had taken those few weeks off to tend to business matters.
Scoop has done such a great job in not just booking great guests, but carrying a half hour of the first hour with me each week that he's going to get his very own intro-outro bumper music.
So we're going to be changing up a segment.
I guess we're going to be moving for one segment out of pop and doo-wop to more of Scoop's flavor, but it's coming, folks.
Yeah, I think I've got a name for Scoop's section.
It should be Escape from New York.
Remember that movie?
Well, before we get to Scoop, I want to read one more thing, and then I don't want to bounce.
You know, again, you can talk for three hours about the way that the laws are being twisted here, the media's coverage of all this, and then the behavior on the streets from the local denizens.
I do want to read one more thing before we switch over.
I know Scoop wants to focus on the media, and we'll be talking about that more to be sure as it goes on.
But we keep referencing this piece written by our friend Jared Taylor.
He writes, this is a Western procedure talking about our court system and rule of law that evolved over many centuries and is designed to be as fair as possible.
It is based on the presumption of innocence.
We've been talking about that a couple of times and withholds judgment until all evidence is considered.
In other words, it derives from a deliberative, reasoned approach to the truth that is obviously alien to a large number of blacks.
The public is often surprised and frustrated by how long it takes for the facts to emerge in cases such as the Trayvon Martin incident or the Genus 6.
But by the time the press gets anything like the whole picture, blacks have already swallowed a fantastic tale of racism and have been rampaging for weeks.
And certainly that's what's going on here.
And some of them are outside agitators.
That should be, you know, we want to be fair here.
A lot of them do not live in Ferguson.
They just come down from other ports of call and take advantage of the situation.
We'll be talking more about that.
But Scoop, I know you wanted to talk a little bit about the media coverage, particularly as it pertained to a couple of people on the street there providing on-the-scene reports.
Thankfully, the Copperhead wasn't taken advantage of when he was there and made it back safely.
But what do you got for us, Scoop?
Take it away.
Hi, Enus Bull Family.
Well, I was watching the media coverage, and two reports stuck out of my mind because they were just all over the web.
One was MSNBC Chris Hayes.
Now, this effeminate man did his reporting from it looked like a secured parking lot with fencing all around.
As the protesters were marching by, he's doing a live broadcast, and they were throwing rocks at him.
Fortunately, none of them hit him in his head and put some sense into him.
But I found that really interesting that this tough guy, this man who probably urinates sitting down, had to find a secure location to do a live broadcast.
And yet the savages find a way to get to him.
The other report is none other than our good friend and buddy, Charlie Laduff.
Now, Mr. Ladoff went into the right in the eye of the eye of the tiger.
Well, he was in the middle of ground zero.
He was...
Say again.
Storm, Eye of the Storm.
Eye of the Storm.
Thanks, Keith.
Welcome back.
Anyways, he did a report literally sitting in front of, I think it was a meat store facing some looters.
And he was sitting next to a black gentleman who was giving the looter some business saying, you know, what are y'all doing, y'all bunch of ignorant people?
The police chief calls you ignorant pen whereas this, that, and the other thing.
And then as later the report, people throwing stuff at him and his cameraman.
And then some fine, wonderful diversity came up and started hitting him with a traffic cone.
Now, what do you think Mr. Leduff did?
Did he run and hide?
Did he call the police?
No.
He went after the guy.
You can see in the clip, he started going after the guy, and somebody got between him and the traffic cone, what I call traffic cone guy, and says, you know, let it go.
Yeah, if I could interject, Scoop, we actually have that at thepolitical setspool.org if you want to see that report.
And as you mentioned, he was talking with a black guy at the beginning of that segment who had a common sense take on things.
He was trying to get the other blacks to stop looting, stop vandalizing, stop pillaging.
And they, of course, referred to him as, you know, what are you doing hanging with the white man?
You know, why are you doing this?
Aren't you black?
And of course, you know, so there are some blacks of reason there, but unfortunately, based upon the coverage I've seen, they seem to be few and far between and nowhere near the majority.
At least that's what the presses, what they've, you know, the video that we've seen would lead me to draw to that conclusion.
But yeah, and the rest, as you mentioned, and Charlie Leduff's just there trying to get the story, you know, gets attacked naturally.
Charlie, earlier this week, and I said, Charlie, how did you actually survive not getting killed?
He says, I took care of it.
So he wouldn't let me in, I guess, a journalist secret or anything like that.
I watched the clips numerous times, see if he was packing heat.
He wasn't.
But, I mean, that's why he's Charlie Leduff.
But anyways, watching Mr. LaDuff and Mr. or Ms. Hayes get attacked, they're both victims of hate crimes.
So I think the listeners of the political Ferguson.
No, that's a good point, Scoop.
Right.
But, you know, we're not the political cesspool gang.
We're not going to fly down to Ferguson or you guys drive over from Memphis and protest.
Why?
Because we got to go to work.
And Joe the Plumber had an awesome observation.
He said, if they put a job fair in the middle of the protest in Ferguson, it would be over in a minute.
Notice not one library, not one uniform shop, not one bookstore was touched because all liquor stores, convenience stores, hair weave joints, and other sneaker stores.
I guess they want the new Harry Jordan kicks.
Well, Scoop, let me say this.
This is Keith again.
If you'll notice, there has been a change in the definition of a hate crime.
A hate crime is any crime committed by a white against a black or any alleged crime or other infraction.
It's only a one-way street.
It's not a principle.
See, principled behavior is something that seems to escape this bunch.
You can't have a principle that would apply equally to blacks, whites, Hispanics, all people.
That is passe.
That is old-fashioned.
We need to get with it, my friend.
Yeah, and let me say this, Scoop, since you're talking about the looting a little bit here.
The media at large, say Fox News and a few other individuals in the media, and certainly the Obama administration, the president himself, obviously Eric Holder, and many others of the higher-ups, are not just allowing this to go on, this looting.
I wouldn't say they're quite going so far as encouraging it to continue, but they are justifying it.
They believe that this is a justifiable action.
And Jared wraps up his column with this, and it plays into what we're talking about right now.
In the long term, as long as parts of the third world expand in our midst, it will become harder and harder for any of our basic European institutions to function.
We're slipping back towards corruption and the rule of brute power.
Africa may always be in our midst, but unless our rulers understand what that means, many Fergusons are in our future.
And he gets a quote from one of the people in Ferguson.
We are jobless men, and this is our job, getting justice.
If that means violence, that's okay with me.
They've been doing this to us for years.
A Ferguson policeman who noted all of the out-of-towners called it looting tourism.
Clearly, Michael Brown has become an excuse not just to go looting, but to chant time to kill a cop at the police, throw bottles of urine at them, set off Molotov cocktails.
All this was going on, Scoop.
All this was going on.
Maybe even get a few TV time.
If it wasn't for the looting, said one man, we wouldn't get the attention.
And besides the businesses that have been burned or stripped clean, businesses in the area, including medical practice, have hardly seen any customers for a week.
At least one shop, the YOLO Boutique, has a sign put up that says black-owned, an open recognition of who's doing the looting.
Schools that were supposed to be open have remained closed.
I'm going to turn it back over to Keith and then a final word to you, Scoop.
But you were seeing chants on live television, Keith, of many blacks saying, who do we want?
Darren Wilson, the cop, how do we want him dead?
Could you imagine if a group of whites were calling for the murder on public television, national television, of a black man for any reason whatsoever?
Well, I'm glad you made this quote because this is a teachable moment for our audience.
You know all of what you're talking about, throwing bottles of urine, chanting time to kill a cop, setting off Molotov cocktails.
All of this occurred before, when, during the so-called sacrosanct black civil rights movement in the 50s and 60s, this was taught to demonstrators, civil rights demonstrators, black and white, at the Highlander Folk School in Mont Eagle, Tennessee.
They basically provoked the police, and when they finally provoked them into some type of reaction, like fire hoses or police dogs, only then did the cameras roll.
You're seeing the same tactics being used here, but they were born in the civil rights movement.
I'm glad you brought that up.
That's a teaser for something I'm going to be talking about in the next hour, the parallels between then and now.
But Scoop, sorry we couldn't work you in.
You've been coming on another second segment for the last month or so.
We were integrating some more equipment here and Keith didn't have his headset yet.
So we're going to get you back on then next week when we will continue this conversation.
We're going to continue it for the rest of the night, but we'll continue with you next week.
But a final word from you, my friend, for this hour.
All right, real quick, CNN starts sparing the cops.
One officer, a retired Sergeant Major from the U.S. Army, his name is Dan Page.
Apparently, he was suspended for indefinitely due to a speech he made on YouTube.
I tell you what, folks, Google Correction, go to YouTube, type in Dan Page, and like me, you'll be writing this man in for president.
And hopefully I can get him on the air in the next couple weeks.
Back to you in the studio.
Thank you, Scoop.
We'll talk to you next week for everyone else.
We still got two more hours to talk about Ferguson.
That's not going to be nearly enough time.
We'll be back.
Another hour of the political cesspool is in the can, but don't go away.
