Time Text
You're listening to the Liberty News Radio Network, and this is the Political Cesspool.
The Political Cesspool, known across the South and worldwide as the South's foremost populist conservative radio program.
And here to guide you through the murky waters of the political test pool is your host, James Edwards.
It's all right.
Little darling, it seems like since it's me here.
Come to the sun All right, everybody, and welcome to the Political Cesspool Radio Program where spring is in the air.
Of course, we are a show for all seasons.
The four seasons, if I could work in my obligatory reference to Frankie Valley here at the top of the show.
Welcome, one and all, to the Political Cesspools live broadcast for Saturday evening, March the 22nd.
I'm your host, James Edwards.
Keith Alexander joining me via telephone as he drives into the radio station tonight.
He had an event that he needed to attend just prior to the start of the show.
So he will be here momentarily, but is in the phone, rather on the phone, in the interim.
Welcome to the show.
Great weather here in Memphis.
It is springtime officially now.
I guess a day or two ago was the first day of spring, and we are happy to be with you.
I guess we should go ahead, Keith, and dedicate that opening song to Courtney, our resident Beatles fan in the Cesspool audience.
That was from the introspective one, George Harrison.
Here comes the Sun.
Great song that I believe he wrote as the dreariness of England's winter began to pass and the gray skies turned to blue.
And that was certainly one of the best songs that they had, and they had many of them.
Keith, how are you doing tonight, my brother?
Doing all right, my friend.
You know, same old six and seven here trying to keep my nose above the waterline.
How about you?
Well, about the same, I guess.
Been in a particularly good mood this week.
I don't know if it's the weather or other things, but I look forward to seeing you here in the studio in just a few minutes and glad you could join us on the phone.
Until then, we were talking about the changing of the seasons.
There's a time for everything.
A season for all, as they say, I guess in the book of Ecclesiastes, a time to be born, a time to die, time to laugh, a time to weep, time to love, a time of peace, time of war, time to embrace, so on and so forth.
Gather stones together, cast stones away.
But most importantly, I guess, as far as we're concerned here, this first segment, a time to plant and a time to reap.
Now, here in the political cesspool, we sow our seeds of truth year-round.
It's a 12-month growing season here for the truth at the political cesspool.
But four times a year, we reap from our audience in order that we can continue to sow.
And as that analogy, with that analogy having been stated, I want to go to the fan mail, Keith.
In response to our first quarter fundraising drive and other things, we've been remiss, or at least I have in my duties of sharing with the audience some of the things it's had to say in written correspondence to us.
And one of the things that I really felt compelled to do as we fight to bring into the storehouse here in this first quarter a fund appeal, I want to read some of the places we've received mail from and contributions from just in the month of March alone.
But first, this comes from Bill in East Islip, New York.
I hope I'm pronouncing that right.
It says James and Keith.
East Islip.
Islip.
East Islip, New York.
I figured since it was an IS, it would maybe sound like Island, but I do stand corrected on that.
East Islip, New York.
Bill writes, hello, my friends.
You are needed and are doing great work.
Thanks for all you do.
Bill sent in a generous contribution today.
James and Keith, your weekly program is something I look forward to eagerly.
With appreciation and hope, that comes from Gus in Tampa, Florida.
Terry from Robertsonville, North Carolina writes, hi, James.
Thank you for the good work you guys do.
You are like Charles Martel defending Western civilization.
Thank you.
Of course, each of these people sent in a contribution.
Here's one, Keith, from Matt in Alexandria, Virginia.
Dear James, I just wanted to let you know how much I enjoy listening to the Political Cesspool.
I've been listening for the last six years.
The Political Cesspool is like a beacon in the night.
I really want to make it out to Tennessee for your 10-year anniversary event, which, by the way, folks, we're going to be officially announcing that next month, but mark your calendars for October and make your plans to be here.
I've told a few people about it.
Every single one to a man has committed to coming, just as Matt has committed to come.
I look forward to meeting you, Keith, Eddie, and Winston and shaking each of your hands.
Please continue to keep up the good fight.
And again, that's from Matt in Alexandria, Virginia.
Keith, let me quickly go through this because I think this is pretty incredible.
I really do.
You know the big cities.
You even know some small cities, maybe a Lincoln, Nebraska, or Des Moines, Iowa.
But I tell you, we get correspondence and financial support from people truly from all over the country, from the metropolises to the small hamlets.
Obviously, here in Memphis, we have a strong base of support because this is, of course, where our program originates.
But let me just read you, Keith, some of the cities, and I'll make this quick.
A shout out to all of those people who listen to the Political Cess Pool each week from these ports of call.
And tell me how many of these cities you've actually heard of before.
Obviously, some of them you will have, but it's an interesting list.
Conway, Massachusetts, Cataldo, Idaho, Houston, Texas, Huntington Station, New York, Hazard, Kentucky, Stony Point, New York, Columbus, Ohio, Granite City, Illinois, Rockville, Maryland,
Marietta, Georgia, Flowery Branch, Georgia, Cthulhu, Georgia, Dallas, Texas, Tuscaloosa, Alabama, St. Louis, Missouri, Punta Gorda, Florida, Jefferson, Louisiana, Merrick, New York, Tomahawk, Wisconsin, Dana Point, California, Vienna, Virginia.
People from all over the world, Keith, Australia, Germany, United Kingdom, Sweden, Norway, Canada.
And I got to point out two folks individually.
Buddy in Collinwood, Tennessee, and Keith in Alberta, Canada.
These two gentlemen have donated every quarter for at least the last five years, as long as I can remember.
They never miss an opportunity to give.
But those cities, Keith, were just a sampling of those from which we have received mail and contributions here this first quarter.
We're still a little short, folks.
Most of the contributions that come in are about $25.
Some people give $100.
A few give more.
But it's listen, it's the salt of the earth for the salt of the earth.
And together we have made something special here and we continue to do it.
So to know that we have listeners from all of these places is an honor the likes of which I cannot over embellish.
I could not exaggerate how proud we are to have these listeners from all these different places, Keith.
What do you say?
I love your salt analogy and borrowing from the Bible, don't let the salt lose its silver, people.
Let's keep it good and salty here in the Cesspool.
We need your support so we can bring the message that others dare not give you, which is the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth on all the topics that affect your life and the society in which we live.
And never believe the lie that our values, which are God and country, faith and family, these virtuous issues that motivate and drive our show are just as correct and righteous today as they ever were.
And people all over the world and from the biggest cities to the smallest hamlets, they believe that and they're listening tonight as our nationally syndicated show continues to go and continues to grow.
We'll be back, folks.
We're going to get to the news right after this.

Are you familiar with the term vigor?
Strength in body and mind?
He pursued his tennis game with vigor, for example.
Well, I hadn't, but I learned about it from Kurt Crosby.
All right, and he actually let me take a scientifically proven free vigor test.
And I got 13 out of 32, not very good.
But I worked on it with him, and believe it or not, now I have a 29 out of 32 and improving vigor score.
You say, Sam, what on earth is this scientific vigor score, huh?
My response is you got to take the free test available now.
Get a hold of Kurt Crosby to learn about it.

Welcome back to the show, everybody.
Ran out of time in that first segment just as I was beginning to wrap it up.
What I was about to say in summation was, of course, thank you.
Thank you, thank you for everyone who has responded to our call this first quarter.
Still about 10 days, I guess, to go if you want to take advantage, nine days, to take advantage of our incentives for the first quarter fundraising drive.
We donate a percentage of that to the network that makes our program possible.

It's a coffee table book.
It's a beautiful, beautifully designed hardcover.
I think it sells retail for $40, $35, $40.
So it's a great gift to have.
And donate, and you may hear your city called out on next week's roll call.
And that being said, I want to get into one more uplifting story.
This is two uplifting segments back to back.
You don't see that very often or hear that, I should say, on the cesspool.
But Nick Griffin, one of our friends, he is an elected member of European Parliament.
That would be basically the equivalent of being a United States Senator.
He represents the United Kingdom in European Parliament.
And he has spoken the truth this week in a big way about how the European Union was formed, in his opinion, to specifically wipe out the Indigenous European people through miscegenation and mass non-white immigration into the European nations.
Now, imagine a United States senator in this day and age saying something like that.
Well, Nick Griffin, who is the equivalent of that, a member of European Parliament, elected member, he said it.
I want you to listen to it, and then we're going to get Keith Alexander's response.
Fund, thank you.
Godfather of the European Union, Richard Kutinov-Kalergi, published the plan for a united Europe and the ethnicide of the peoples of Europe.
The encouragement of mass non-white immigration was central to the plot.
Since then, an unholy alliance of leftists, capitalists, and Zionist supremacists has schemed to promote immigration and miscegenation with the deliberate aim of breeding us out of existence in our own homelands.
As Indigenous resistance to this human genetic modification industry grows, the criminal elite seeks new ways to camouflage their project.
First, their immigrant porns were temporary guest workers.
Then it was a multiracial experiment.
Then they were refugees.
Then the answer to a shrinking population.
Different excuses, different lies.
And asylum is just another one.
But the real aim stays the same.
The biggest genocide in human history.
The final solution of the Christian European problem.
This crime demands a new set of Nuremberg trials, and you people will be in the dock.
Mr. Griffin, there is a blue card for you from Mrs. Gomez.
All right?
Senor Agamis.
Mr. President, I'm really ashamed of the racist and xenophobic terms that were used by Mr. Griffin.
And my only question to him is: if he dared to make any concrete suggestions and amendments to the legislation, is your policy serious?
Or are you just shouting?
And I hope you will not be re-elected if you seek re-election, because it's a shame for this parliament, the kind of statements you have just made.
Mr. Griffin.
It's you that's shouting, because obviously the truth hurts.
Yes, I will be seeking re-election.
Yes, I hope to return here to speak up for the Indigenous Europeans, which the founder of this place has deliberately set out to wipe out, because that is a crime.
I'm telling the truth.
I have a constructive suggestion to help those poor asylum seekers from Africa.
Yes, make it clear they can't come here so they don't try to cross the sea and drown in huge numbers.
The best way for them is to get the banks off the backs of their countries so they can live in peace in their countries, and we Europeans can live in peace in ours.
Thank you.
Thank you, Mr. Griffin.
Ms. Angelili, two minutes.
Nick Griffin, in a recent address to European Parliament, absolutely inspirational.
When is the last time you heard a prominent elected official, a United States senator or congressman or a governor, speak with such righteous indignation?
And of course, Nick Griffin has appeared as a featured guest on the political cesspool on three different occasions, including one of the most listened-to episodes in the history of our broadcast shortly after he was elected to European Parliament.
So many people were tuned in online, we temporarily lost the ability to administer the stream.
Our capacity was overloaded.
Nick Griffin, Keith, what do you make of it?
What he said?
Well, when you hit the nail on the head, you drive it straight, as we say here in the South.
And that's exactly what Nick Griffin did.
He came out and gave a speech that would have been worthy of some of the people resisting racial integration back in the civil rights movement here in the South.
You haven't heard that type of rhetoric in the United States since those days.
They have managed through political correctness to scale off all of the dissident voices in the government like a flock of chickens.
But Nick Griffin is a beacon of hope for European people everywhere, not just in Europe.
We need to listen to what he has to say.
We need to gain inspiration from Nick Griffin.
Nick Griffin tells the truth without fear or favor.
He will call a spade a dirty shovel, another good southern colloquialism that we use down here.
And he is going to be the person that truly speaks truth to power.
The power is all liberal now.
The people that want to conserve our people and our way of life are the dissident culture of today.
And quite frankly, Nick Griffin is one of our primary spokesmen.
He's one of our heroes.
I like to be like Nick when I grow up.
How about?
Well, certainly you are, Keith.
Save the elected spot.
But there are many people over in Europe who are speaking out, and there are many right-of-center parties that are gaining in prominence over there.
But that was a great two or three-minute talk.
And you heard, of course, his detractor, this Marxist woman, I believe she might have been from Spain or Italy, just shouting down for being a racist to dare assume that European people may also have interests that need to be spoken for.
And that's, of course, the only card that they have in their deck is to call you a name for saying something that they don't agree with.
They won't argue the point.
They'll just call you, I can't remember what she said, a racist, a xenophobe, or something of the sort.
What is Colin James is an ad hominem argument.
There you go.
You just call him a name, and that says it all.
They can't debate you on the logic of your position because, quite frankly, They're going to find out like George Will did the other day when he got into a debate with Laura Ingram on immigration, that his position has no popular support among the American people, among white Americans, among black Americans, among anyone that has a modicum of common sense.
Our people who elect these officials are the last priority in the minds of our leaders.
Our leaders take an oath of office and they lie whenever they take it.
And quite frankly, they should be prosecuted for being traitors to the very nation they have sworn to protect in the whole.
Well, Nick Griffin, as we mentioned, Keith, one of our guests in the past, another one, Colin Flaherty, who appeared late last year, maybe in the fall, I believe it was.
It was the summer.
He appeared on the same episode as Sydney Leathers.
So how can I forget that?
But Colin Flaherty, intrepid writer for WorldNet Daily, he wrote the book, White Girl Bleed a Lot, which documents some of the black-on-white hate crimes that are manifest in this country.
He's got a new article out that we're going to be talking about after the break.
An undercover sting operation found many corrupt politicians in the city of Philadelphia, and they all had one thing in common.
We're going to let you consider what that may be, and then we're going to tell you when we come back from this break.
Still much more to come tonight in the political cesspool.
We're just getting started, folks.
You're listening to Liberty News Radio.
The Occidental Quarterly fills a unique niche in bringing together scholarly articles on a wide range of topics that are mired in political correctness elsewhere.
It is edited by Professor Kevin McDonald, who's no stranger to listeners of the political cesspool.
There are quite a few reasons for the precarious state of our civilization and our people, but one of the main ones is that we have lost the intellectual and moral high ground to a cultural elite that is hostile to our people and our culture.
Those of us who are politically aware must understand that the elites dominating culture and the political process in the West are intellectually and morally bankrupt.

All right, folks, I'm pleased to announce to you that Keith Alexander has now arrived with great fanfare.
Why can I say that?
Great fanfare.
He's made a grand entrance into the studio.
You know you're fashionably late when you miss a half hour of the show, but he is here.
He is suited up.
He's across the table from me here at our fabulous studio with his headset on and back in the saddle.
Okay.
Now, Keith, this will come as no surprise to you as a resident of Memphis, Tennessee.
We know about the political corruption here in Memphis and what the common denominator is, but for other folks, this might be interesting.
Corrupt politicians uncovered by a sting operation all happened to be black Democrats.
Colin Flaherty for World Net Daily, a previous featured guest of the political cesspool, wrote about this.
Basically, what happened was there was a black Democrat in Philadelphia who was caught taking bribes.
And rather than just prosecute him and throw him in jail, the law enforcement officials used him as a mole.
And he turned and did favors for state's evidence, so on and so forth.
Basically, the deal was he would avoid jail time if he would offer bribes to any and every elected official in the city of Philadelphia and then report back who's taking the bribes and record it on video and audio.
So he did it.
Here's the story.
The Attorney General of Pennsylvania shut down an investigation of corrupt elected officials because everyone they caught on tape taking cash and gifts was a black Democrat.
Now here's what's interesting folks.
This black Democrat himself did not just offer it to his fellow comrades.
He offered it to white Republicans, white Democrats, conservative, liberal, Republican, Democrat, Independent, anybody that he could, he offered the bribe.
The only people who took it were black Democrats.
Furthermore, all of the offending Democrats were black, as I just mentioned, members of the Philadelphia delegation to the state legislature.
So far, none of the politicians have been charged with wrongdoing.
State Attorney General, here's where it gets really incredible, folks.
State Attorney General Kathleen Kane told Philadelphia Media that she stopped the investigation because it was tainted by racism.
She argued that the sting had specifically targeted African Americans.
All of the black Democrats involved denied accepting the illegal cash and gifts or said they couldn't remember, even though all of them were caught on video and audio tape.
So again, folks, here are the facts.
This man who turned to be a rat for the government because he wanted to avoid jail time himself, offered the bribe to everyone.
White, black, conservative, liberal, you name it.
Only black Democrats took it, and it shut down.
It completely got shut down just because the DA says it's racist.
This was a black Democrat offering the deal to everybody.
Only black Democrats took it.
But one word, Keith, one word, racism, despite the fact it was on tape, despite the fact, well, you know the facts, racism.
She uttered it once.
The whole case, the whole investigation was shut down.
These people will not be prosecuted.
They will not face jail time.
That is the power that the word racism has.
This is what my book was all about.
Folks, we were ahead of the curve on this by years.
It is racist to accuse criminals of being criminals.
Well, you know, James, I hope this sinks in on everybody.
Even white Democrats weren't corrupt.
Don't tell me it's based on party affiliation.
Don't tell me it's based on economic status.
Don't tell me it's based on anything.
Race matters.
And this is a perfect example.
As a lawyer here in Memphis, Tennessee, I can tell you I've been involved in numerous cases where there was official corruption, let's say in the police department, in the evidence room.
And they would find a number of black policemen who were undoubtedly involved.
They would strive mightily to try to implicate some white face in this so that they could have that picture prominently displayed in our local newspaper that we call the Communist Appeal.
It's really called the Commercial Appeal.
So that they could deflect any charge of racism.
So the lesson my clients have learned in the past from these type of situations is that it's dangerous to work in a public sector job in a majority black town like Memphis, apparently.
I hate to say that, but I've had policemen that were improperly implicated because they wanted a white face to put in there with all the multitude of black faces.
As soon as they were exonerated of the charges, they promptly retired from the force and moved out to the rural areas where whites still predominate because they realize that it's not only,
you know, dangerous physically, it's dangerous in terms of being unjustly prosecuted to work in an environment like that of the Memphis Police Department.
Now, this is more official corruption.
What you have is third world people.
And remember our famous watchword, you can have a first world community with a third world population.
What is the third world known for?
Rampant political corruption.
Here it is again.
Why do these people Continue to prove us to be prophetic on these issues.
You can't have a first world nation with a third world population.
Keith, you put that phrase into my ear prior to one of my appearances on CNN a few years back.
I actually remember standing in the terminal to make a quick departure.
I was getting ready to take my flight to New York to do that taping at CNN, and they did a teaser on the television there that was tuned into CNN, and everybody was at the gate waiting to get on the flight and was watching the television.
And it was a teaser for the show that I was going to be on later that night.
I considered for a moment sharing with the crowd there, my fellow passengers, that I was going to be on that show, but who would have believed it, you know?
But we made that a famous catchphrase that night.
You can't have a first world nation with a third world population.
And speaking of third world population, obviously corruption like that is no big news to us here in Memphis.
I mean, we hear stories like that every day.
But the fact that it was shut down, I mean, they still actually prosecute lawbreakers here in Memphis from time to time, even if they happen to be black.
For the DA to completely shut that down by falsely accusing that of being a racist operation when they offered it to everyone, regardless of skin color, is incredible.
Now, speaking of third world population, Keith, I want to quickly work this one in.
This comes out of Houston.
This is astonishing.
100 illegal aliens were found living in a 1,500 square foot home.
Now, that is what I like to call being jammed up and jelly tight.
Let me quickly read just a couple of paragraphs from this.
A house overflowing with more than 100 people, presumed, I think this is a pretty good presumption, presumed to be the United States illegally, was uncovered just outside Houston on Wednesday.
A police spokesperson said, 1,500, or excuse me, 100, it was actually 108 people.
So that's basically one person per square foot.
And get this, the first room of the house, no one was in it.
It was just a mattress and a refrigerator.
So that takes out one room.
That means 108 people who are in the rest of the home.
That's pretty much one person per square foot.
Feces everywhere, lying in filth.
One bathroom for 108 people, no hot water.
But this is it.
I'm sure they'll all get the Presidential Medal of Freedom, I guess, you know, for being found living in that way as they attempted to come here and commit a felony and breaking our border laws.
But this is, you know, you want to talk about a third world nation.
America is becoming a third world nation.
And I feel bad for everyone, but we cannot solve the employment and living crises for the rest of the universe.
I mean, we just can't.
But 108 people living in a 1,500-foot square house, that almost beats it all.
Well, I can beat it.
Let me tell you what I've encountered again in my experiences in the naked city known as Memphis.
I have known of apartment buildings or apartments that have wall-to-wall mattresses, and they have three shifts.
They sell the mattress out, you know, rent it for eight hours.
You get to sleep there eight hours, get up, and then go to your job.
They're jammed up and jelly tight, like you said.
No walking space.
They have one bathroom, and the bathroom is the toilet's being flushed continuously because somebody is going to the bathroom.
This thing is just, you know, they're twin-size mattresses as small as you can get, jammed up wall to wall in every room.
And these places apparently are well known and they are endemic to any place where you get illegal Hispanic immigrants coming into America.
And I'm sure it's not just Hispanics, probably Oriental, African, everybody else. are trying to live as cheaply as possible so they can send money back to their motherland, wherever that is.
And therefore they want to spend as little money as possible.
This is a way to get your sleep and spend as little money as possible to have more to send off.
This unfortunately is something that I'm personally familiar with.
And this is no fiction, people.
This is the truth.
With that, folks, we're going to take a break.
We expect to hear from Peter Scoop Stanton, his nightly contribution next, and then we got a couple of good hours after that.
Stay tuned.

All right, folks.
There's Frankie Valley and the Four Seasons with stay just a little bit longer.
We hope that our audience will stay all the way through the third hour tonight.
We're waiting on Peter Scoop Stanton to call with his nightly contribution.
I actually just got a text message from Scoop in the last segment or the last commercial rather and he asked if he were to come on in the third hour.
I said, no, right now we're waiting on you.
Hurry.
So this is me spinning my wheels until he calls in.
But I would like to give a quick preview of the remainder of the show.
We're just getting started tonight.
A couple of weeks ago, I guess it was the first broadcast in March, we hosted Roger Devlin, acclaimed writer.
He was talking about relationships in the age of radical feminism.
We had him on for a half hour, I believe, in that particular show, and I left unsatisfied.
I thought that we had more to cover than we had time to cover during that broadcast.
And so Roger Devlin will be rejoining us tonight for the full second hour to talk about sex, love, and marriage, male and female relations in 2014 in this current day and age, modern times.
And he and Keith have put together a pretty impressive outline, I think, for the second hour.
I'm getting a text right now.
I don't know what it means from Peter Scoop Stanton.
It says door emergency.
So I guess that means he's not calling in right now.
So we need to find Filler here for the next few minutes.
And he'll call in the last segment of the third hour.
I guess maybe he was telling me that's what he needed.
So Keith Treadwater here.
Let's not talk about what we're going to talk about with Devlin because I want to save that for the second hour.
And then in the third hour, folks, Eddie the Bombadier Miller will be in.
Pappy, Pappy himself will be in.
Yes, Sam Bushman has deposited something into my mind to talk about the increasing frequency by which the federal government is shutting down traditional marriage in state after state, including here in Tennessee, Keith.
I don't know if you've heard about this yet, and we haven't even posted it onto our website, but judges have now ruled, federal judges, as always, overruling the will of the people.
It solder with Brown versus Board.
Federal judge has ruled that Tennessee must now honor out-of-state sodomite marriages.
The day will shortly come where Tennessee itself will have to marry what few homosexuals reside here in the volunteer state.
But you want to talk about that for a minute, along with other things that you might have on your mind.
It's a good topic.
Well, it is a good topic, and quite frankly, it dovetails with Roger Devlin because basically what Roger Devlin is focusing on is the decline of the importance societally of the institution of marriage.
Gay marriage is just one more symptom that marriage is not what it used to be in America.
It doesn't modify people's behavior.
Now, for example, it would have been unheard of in 1950 for anyone to propose that homosexual marriage should be legalized and legitimized.
Now, not only is it happening, they've got the proponents of the traditional understanding of the institution of marriage on the run.
You've got politicians that are afraid to stand up for the traditional definition of marriage.
Now, there's more to marriage than just who are the participants.
Marriage is based on the Christian faith in America.
We have monogamy.
For example, Christianity, I think, is an advance over Islam and some other religions because Islam allows a man to have as many as four wives.
That is a concession to what we call the alpha male situation.
In Western nations, Christian nations, it doesn't matter who you are.
It doesn't matter what type of big shot you assume yourself to be.
You're limited to one wife, traditionally, in America.
But again, now we're seeing this redefinition of marriage, which is a way of basically making marriage irrelevant.
Marriage does not modify people's behavior anymore.
Fear of social opprobrium for violating the standards of traditional marriage is no longer a consideration.
It used to be that if a politician got a divorce, that was the death knell of his political career.
Now we have politicians who have been married four, five, six times, and everybody says, ho-hum.
Let me tell you this.
Newt Gingrich, for instance, when his wife was, Newt Gingrich, when his wife was dying of cancer, he was gallivanting with a mistress.
And it hasn't hurt his career at all.
Now he's taking Pat Buchanan's seat on Crossfire.
And furthermore, Mark Sanford, the governor of North Carolina, was having an affair, a meritricious affair.
There have been plenty of other politicians of note who have been involved in very salacious affairs.
And John Edwards, for example, was having an affair while his wife was dying of cancer.
He was a Democratic presidential candidate.
And even though it got a little bit of play, basically, he's back in politics.
It's not the death knell that it used to be.
And that's because society now doesn't consider marriage that important.
That's what the ultimate message of all of this is.
Marriage between one man and one woman, a covenant before God to be for better or for worse, for rich or for poor, in sickness and in health, to honor and to cherish, forsaking all others till death do you part, and what God has joined together, let no man or woman put asunder.
Those standards are incredibly arcane and old-fashioned.
You put on and take off a marriage like you'd put on and take off your clothes every night, apparently.
And, you know, what the sexual revolution did was it basically replaced the standards of the institution of marriage with anything between consenting adults is okay.
That's the new standard.
That's what homosexual marriage really stands for.
They're telling you marriage is kapoot.
Marriage is dead, as it was understood by society for several millennium here in the West.
Well, folks, as promised, you're going to get a lot more of that in the second hour when we welcome back to the show, Roger Devlin.
It's a topic that we can all relate to in some shape, form, or fashion.
That is relationships, the desire to be with someone, how that works, how it used to work, and how it works now.
Love and marriage.
We're going to talk about it.
But I do want to mention Michigan and Michigan, another state.
It is really beginning, the snowball effect is really beginning to roll here.
Michigan, it's been shot down as it happened in Utah recently, and I believe Virginia, a few days either before or after that, right around that time.
So, listen, the day is coming.
There's no doubt about it, and we all know why.
They're using the template that they set In Brown, not just in Brown, but that was the first great success that they had in circumventing the will of the people through judicial fiat, the Supreme Court.
There's no way the Christian opposition to homosexual marriage can win after they rubber stamped what happened with Brown.
You just can't do it because they're following the same exact design.
So, and it's a shame.
Because the great people of Tennessee deserve better.
The people of Michigan, Utah, even California voted against this when put to the ballot.
No one wants this.
Keith, we've been corrected.
You and I have both been corrected by listener Jim, and he writes this.
When we are corrected, we want to let that be known.
As a native New Yorker who left the city 20 years ago, here is the correct pronunciation of the city that was in question in Suffolk County on Long Island.
I said ILIP.
You said ISLIP.
The correct pronunciation is ISLIP.
ISLIP.
That's right.
I-C-E-L-I-P.
I-SLIP.
East ISLIP, New York.
And while we were talking about the different cities from which we have listeners who have sent in contributions recently, two have come in, even while this broadcast has been going on during the first hour.
We want to thank another one who is up there at the very, actually both of them are.
Both of these guys who donated this first hour donate every quarter.
They never miss.
They never miss, and we love them.
Gerald in Dallas, Texas.
Yeah, he has donated here this first hour.
And another listener in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
I won't mention his name because of his position, but Keith, you and I had the opportunity to meet with him for lunch back around Thanksgiving, I believe it was.
And he knows who he is, and we know who he is.
So from Dallas and Baton Rouge, donations have come in tonight.
We're getting ever so close to hitting our fundraising goal, folks.
It was looking really suspect a couple of weeks ago.
In fact, I had resigned myself to just batting down the hatches and prepare for the worst and see how we could make ends meet.
But we're coming on strong now.
We still have a little bit to go.
But people like Gerald and the other gentlemen who will remain nameless have done their part.
And folks, I'm feeling even more excited.
Now, that being said, there was something else I wanted to talk about before we get to Roger Devlin, but I can't remember what it was.
So Keith, I will give you the last 60 seconds of this hour.
Then we'll get to Roger and much more tonight in the political cesspool.
Eddie the Bombardier-Miller and I have a great third hour prepared for you.
So we really are just getting started.
We're not even half done tonight.
There's so much that conservatives complain about that is related not to the civil rights movement, not even to radical feminism, environmentalism, illegal immigration, but to that little understood aspect of the triumph of liberalism called the sexual revolution.
Gay marriage, abortion, illegitimacy rates, the decline of marriage, the high rate of divorce, no-fault divorce laws.
All this is part of the poisonous stew concocted by liberals that is bringing our society down.
We'll get into much more about that in the next hour of the political cesspool after these words from our sponsors.
