Time Text
You're listening to the Liberty News Radio Network, and this is the Political Cesspool.
The Political Cesspool, going across the South and worldwide as the South's foremost populist conservative radio program.
And here to guide you through the murky waters of the Political Cesspool is your host, James Edwards.
Welcome back to the second hour of tonight's live broadcast of the Political Cesspool Radio Program, ladies and gentlemen.
James Edwards and Keith Alexander here in our flagship Memphis studio going out to the AM FM affiliate stations of the Liberty News Radio Network and sobblecasting online, of course, at thepolitical cesspool.org, among other places.
Our featured guest tonight is on the line with us now, Laura Fitzgerald making a debut appearance on our award-winning broadcast.
She was born in the United States and has lived most of her life, though, in Australia, as you'll be able to tell by the way she speaks.
She's dedicating her life to the fight against white genocide.
We're very happy to have her with us.
Her YouTube videos, two of which we featured on the website this week, have garnered tens of thousands of hits and views.
Laura, welcome to the show.
Hi, James.
Thank you for having me.
Again, very much an honor.
I'll tell you, during the last commercial break, Keith and I did a paper rock scissors battle to see who would be able to fire the first volley in your direction, and he won.
Laura, this is Keith Alexander, the hosting staff.
Welcome to the Cesspool.
Thank you.
We were talking during the break about the fact that in almost every married couple that we know, the male is more conservative than the female.
This is just across the board.
You know, even when you get a liberal couple, the woman is a little more liberal than the man.
And in our particular paleoconservative niche, you find that there are a lot of older people who are spokespeople for paleoconservatism, but not so many young people.
You're both young and a woman.
What caused you to turn out the way that you did and be one of us?
Well, I saw a crime that is being committed.
And if you saw a crime being committed, would you stand by and let that happen?
Or would you do something about it?
Well, you know, I just wonder why so many other people don't see the problem.
It's as obvious as knows on my face to you and to me.
But apparently there are a lot of people that, for one reason or another, have either chosen not to speak out or don't see the problem as a problem at all.
Well, constantly we're labeled with hate words.
The moment we speak about anything pro-white, we're automatically labeled with these hate words like racist, bigot, nazi white supremacists.
So that automatically stops our people from wanting to speak their minds or speak their being able to say what they would like to say.
I've got another idea I'd like to float with you too, Laura.
I think that most young people want to be wealthy, want to succeed in business or financially.
And a lot of these people have reckoned, and they've reckoned rightly, that it is an impediment to career advancement to be labeled as a conservative.
Is it that way in Australia, the way that it is in the United States of America, for example?
Well, it is financial terrorism, isn't it?
They terrorize us into not speaking out, not speaking our mind and doing what is right for our people.
And by doing that, they threaten us with fear of job loss or violence.
And most effectively, they use the word racist.
And that in itself shuts our people up.
Our men run like cowards when the word racist is mentioned.
Boy, don't they?
We've seen that a time or two, haven't we, Keith?
Well, again, I have to echo Keith's question.
I mean, certainly you answered it as honestly as you could.
You saw a crime being committed.
Someone needed to stand up and you decided to do it yourself.
But I just, I mean, I guess I understand why more people don't, but what prompted you to do so?
Well, I saw it firsthand from traveling through Australia, Canada, England, through Europe, and the United States.
All white countries are being flooded with millions of non-white third worlders.
We're being forced to assimilate and integrate with them.
And these conditions will end in white genocide.
People talk about genocide, and of course that gets dismissed by our detractors.
Well, you're not really suffering genocide.
People aren't going around just killing you.
And of course, that actually is happening in South Africa, of course.
But how do we really justify this as genocide?
What's going on?
And certainly in your YouTube videos, again, you can find them at YouTube folks or on our website, Bob Whitaker's website as well.
We're going to talk about him in a moment also.
But you talk about Asia being for the Asians, Africa being for the Africans, et cetera, et cetera.
White countries are for everyone.
Talk a little bit more about the message that you espoused in those YouTube videos we've been mentioning and how that is, in fact, genocide.
Well, James, it's genocide because it results in white people intentionally being made a minority in historically white nations.
If one opposes the anti-white policy of mass immigration and forced assimilation, you could be fired, threatened, beaten up, or imprisoned.
I mean, that's genocide defined by Section C of the Convention on Prevention and Crime and Punishment of genocide.
I'm glad you said that.
I mean, I knew you would probably come back with that, but that really pinpoints what we're talking about here.
It's certainly genocide.
Of course, in many other countries, you very, you certainly, here you will be the victim of economic terrorism as you so accurately described it.
I've used those exact same words to describe what's going on here if you speak out.
We've seen it so many times.
Groveling certainly doesn't absolve you either, by the way.
But in Europe, certainly you can go to jail or worse for speaking, Canada even, for speaking very basic truths about taboo or what's been considered to be taboo issues.
Certainly, it's not taboo here.
But in America, the noose is tightening as well.
I know Keith wants to chime in on that.
Yeah, let me say this, Laura.
I believe that political correctness and cultural Marxism have happened upon a much more effective way of stuffing a sock in the mouth of dissent than the old hardline communists had.
Political correctness is a soft tyranny.
They don't take you to the basement of the Lubiank and put a bullet at the base of your brain the way that the old Bolsheviks did.
But they do something that's even more effective.
They threaten your financial future.
And by just threatening your financial security and future, they have the same effect without engendering or causing a violent response.
People will live with the economic terrorism where they wouldn't live with the actual physical terrorism of the Bolsheviks and the Red Chinese and the cultural revolution over there.
And it's worked like a charm.
Basically, what political correctness does is make discussion of certain topics taboo.
And I don't think that these topics just develop like Topsy by happenstance.
I think, for example, the two greatest top taboos as we see them, and we make it a point to make them the focal point of our discussions on this show, are race and Jewish power and influence.
You cannot solve a puzzle with two of the most important pieces missing.
If you can't talk about those two issues we feel here on the political cesspool, you have no hope of really understanding what's happening to you and why.
Do you agree or give us your viewpoint on this?
Well, political correctness bullies freedom of speech.
Oh, I agree.
It does.
In fact, political correctness is an intentional subversion of freedom of speech.
And on the other hand, what they choose to make taboo are the keys to understanding the problem.
We'll be back with Laura after these words from our sponsor.

And now back to tonight's show.
Keith Alexander, the political cesspool.
Excited to have Laura Fitzgerald on this hour as our featured guest.
It was important to me to feature her tonight because it just goes to show that there are beautiful and intelligent young women.
She's one of them, that are out there doing the work that most men, and she mentioned this in the last segment, most men run like cowards over fear of being called a name.
You know, you think about the sacrifices of blood and bone that our ancestors gave and sacrificed to give us these freedoms that we're wasting away here.
And now, you know, we have people who won't even suffer the indignity of being called a name.
And, you know, it's certainly an annoyance.
I don't like the things that are said about me by my detractors.
First of all, they're not true or honest.
It's not an honest assessment.
And then secondly, I mean, certainly what we do is natural and healthy, and every other race is entitled and encouraged to do it.
But when we do it, it's hate.
That's not true.
But I want to ask you this, Laura, about perhaps any social stigma you have experienced in your personal life.
You know, another myth that is out there, at least a myth that I've been able to dispel in my own associations is that if you embrace race realism or whatever you want to call it, you better forget about having friends.
You better forget about having a sex life.
You're going to have to abandon your peer group.
You're going to be a social pariah.
You're going to hang out with an exclusively male clique of socially maladjusted weirdos.
But honestly, we've been called names.
We've suffered some of that.
We're a popular radio show.
I mean, that happens.
We get some nasty emails and some threats from time to time.
But ultimately, I've never had anyone show up at my house.
All of the people in my circle of friends either agree with me or are indifferent.
I'm talking about friends I had far before I became politically active.
I married a beautiful woman.
I was dating her for years before I started the show and after.
We were still together for two years before we got married, after I started the show.
And it's caused me no, it hasn't cost me anything to do this.
Have you experienced the same thing?
Well, that's what we're trying to impose is that white and normal, that white and normal image that we are, that we are just white and normal people fighting for our right to have a homeland that isn't being flooded with millions of non-whites.
And the more that we start talking about this and showing that we're just white and normal, the more people will receive us and the more people we'll have on board speaking the same message.
And that is our goal.
Well, let me say this.
This is Keith Alexander again, Laura.
My experience has been this.
My wife of over 30 years died suddenly and unexpectedly.
And I found that, one, it's very important that you find someone who is equally yoked to you, that thinks like you do politically.
That's almost rule one in the dating game for people that think like we do.
But once you do that, you will find out that you are attracting people of the opposite sex to you specifically because of your viewpoint, not in spite of it.
You're going to find out that, you know, liberalism in a place like Memphis, Tennessee, or in Red State America, we like to say, is a mile wide but an inch deep.
People adopt this politically correct viewpoint for economic preservation, but very few people really believe it.
And you can get through to these people and quite frankly, they will admire you for having the courage of your convictions and speaking out.
Have you found that to be the case in Australia?
Absolutely.
Absolutely.
And not Australia, across the world.
And I also wanted to just bring back there so quickly to James's point about the cowards with racists.
And that is a perfect example of how effective a consistent message is, how effective that word has been in stifling our race and how effective the word anti-white is being in giving our race a voice again.
And certainly Bob Whitaker has been a tip of the spear on that.
And I want to talk about him and your work with him, your collaboration with him before the time runs out.
But I also want to circle back very quickly and just highlight normalcy.
You know, we talked about that.
We are very normal people.
Anyone that's ever met us, anybody that knows us, whether they have come to know us because of this radio show or known us years before, we work every, you know, the media or the left-wing zealots, the Christ-hating, American-hating, Constitution-hating people that run the ADL and the SPLC, they would have people believe that people who think like us just must sit in a cave and just marinate in hatred and are angry all day.
I mean, that couldn't be further from the truth.
I've never met anyone like that.
You know, I'm not talking about Aryan nations and people with tattoos on their foreheads, people that, you know, you probably should stay away from, but no, not at all.
That's not how it is.
We work.
We have families.
I have a daughter.
I have a wife.
She's supportive.
I have a job.
We go out.
We do things just like everybody else.
But we have the courage of our convictions.
Basically, what I've learned, Laura, in doing this and in working in this for 10 years is that the only thing that separates us from the vast majority of middle Americans, the vast majority of conservative Americans, is that we have the courage to stand up and speak out, whereas they will only talk about it in the secure confines of their homes.
But now about Bob Whitaker.
Bob Whitaker, a fan favorite here on the political cesspool.
He's been a friend of mine for a long time, even before this show started.
He was a Reagan administration appointee, Capitol Hill senior staffer, has written some very mainstream books, and you can find his work now at WhitakerOnline.org.
And you work with him there on the blog at Bob's Underground Graduate Seminar, correct?
Yeah, he's actually what I would call my political coach.
Yeah, he certainly has years of experience in politics.
And I have been working with him for the last two years, yes.
So what's going on over there on the website?
I saw you have a post there at the top of Bob's blog this evening.
What can people expect and what's the message they're going to receive when they go over there and read what you have to say?
Well, today actually, yes, I just put up an article about momentum and about the momentum that we are seeing behind our memes that we are producing.
Like anti-racist is a code word for anti-white, or diversity is only imposed on white countries.
Um, the result that we're seeing is that people are no longer using racist as much, because they know that they're going to get the the response, well, you're just anti-white.
Because they only call racist to white people.
Well, that's exactly right, and it's such a simple truth, you know.
But telling the truth, as Or Will said, is it a revolutionary act in an age of universal deceit?
But we need women, you know, we need the modern day Boadicea, and I think you're one of them.
Laura, it's been an honor to host you tonight.
We hope this will be a more regular occurrence.
And before you go uh, I know Keith wants to say a quick uh word.
In summation, let me suggest one more addition to the mantra of Bob Whitaker, and that is, when someone accuses you of being a racist, deny it and tell them there's a difference between racial solidarity and racial animus.
We don't have animus towards other races.
We have a sense of solidarity and kinship with our own kind, which is only natural, normal and not only tolerated but encouraged in every other racial group.
And that is where we need to start.
I believe we need to say that we have.
We just have to defend ourselves, like every other group does from uh, in competition with others.
What do you say to that?
Well, it's why we try and make this war as a a, a single front war.
We're only fighting anti-white, they're the.
They're the only group that is denying us the right um to our existence.
So every time, and yeah yeah well Keith, Keith gave you a hearty amen here from uh, the Southern Baptist Convention.
That is our radio studio.
But listen Laura, thank you for your work, thank you for coming on tonight.
We hope to host you again.
and folks we'll be back with more right after this here on the political accessible radio program protecting your liberties you're listening to liberty news radio

Folks, if you don't believe me when I say Eddie the Bombardier Miller just walked in, maybe him, he said he could make that duck call sound like a fertile hen when he walked in.
A fertile young hen.
You know, Duck Dynasty has nothing on us.
They've got Phil and we've got Eddie.
In fact, we were asking it.
Hated equally, though.
Hated equally by that we have all the right enemies.
Both we and Phil of Duck Dynasty have the same enemies and we need to get Phil on the show sometime.
That'd be perfect.
Eddie, when does duck hunting season start, by the way?
Well, I know about the interview.
Okay, well, whatever.
Eddie is telling me all about squirrel hunting and rabbit hunting and everything else, but apparently duck hunting.
How did you wind up with that duck call then if you don't go duck hunting regularly?
It was handed down by Monday back from the 1950s.
He said handed down by his father from the 1950s.
Keith interviewing Eddie.
Eddie's across the studio without a mic and there's Eddie here that everyone can understand.
But folks, the party started when Eddie walked in.
If y'all could have heard the commotion when Eddie walked in the studio, I could hear him outside the building doing the duck call from the parking lot, and then he came in doing it.
And when him and Keith get together, they just get rowdy.
They just get each other riled up, and I had to keep them down to a dull roar once the music reignited.
Eddie and I have decided we're going out to the gun club tomorrow to shoot our shooting irons off and do some southern male type bonding out there.
James, you're invited too, if you want to come.
Well, I'll have to talk to my boss about that.
But anyway, no, seriously, guys, Eddie is in early.
He won't be on the air until the third hour, but he's ready.
He's wearing his – anyway, I got a quick hit for you, Keith.
Oh, first of all, I got sidetracked as any mere mortal is susceptible to do.
When Eddie walked in doing the duck call, it kind of hit me off balance.
We actually read that on the air last week, Eddie.
We read the whole thing.
But what I was going to say was to thank Laura Fitzgerald, who got cut off there at the very end of the interview, just the last couple of seconds, I believe.
The phone dropped the call, her phone dropped the call, perhaps.
Thank to Laura for coming on and for standing up.
You know, if you've heard her now on the radio, take a look at her videos at thepoliticalsful.org there.
The article promoting tonight's broadcast.
You can see a video of her so you can put a face to the voice and she's doing great work and we wish that everyone would stand up.
We need our women to be supportive.
They shouldn't be in a frontline role and she's taking that upon herself because so few men are willing to do it.
But she's doing a great job and certainly providing leadership where leadership is needed and her working cooperation with Bob Whitaker, just a great guy, a great mentor.
Bob had a lot to do with my own development before this show started.
So she's working with the right people there.
And so check out that work at WhitakerOnline.org.
Actually, if you go to WhitakerOnline.org, you'll see a picture of me and Bob Whitaker dressed up as Confederate soldiers in Charleston, South Carolina.
We took one of these old-timey pictures together.
And I think we were there for the burial of the Hunley crew back in 2004.
So check that out at WhitakerOnline.org.
Okay.
Keith, quick hit.
Quick hit.
We all know about the snow in Atlanta that snarled traffic on the interstate that resulted in utter gridlock.
You probably don't know what caused that traffic jam.
It was not the blizzard that hit Atlanta.
It was not the ice that hit Atlanta.
It wasn't the fact that the government of Atlanta released everyone from school and work at the same time and told everybody to drive home at once.
No, according to an article that was published this week, white people are to blame for the snowstorm in Atlanta.
White people are to blame for the snowstorm in Atlanta.
This was not satire.
It was published.
It was serious.
What happened is whites are to blame for the gridlock that people faced as a result of the snowstorm because white people moved out to Cobb County.
They left the inner city of Atlanta.
And if they hadn't had left the inner city, they would not have been on the roads.
They could have taken the MARTA transit system, which is I've ridden the MARTA.
It's an elevated train.
It's not a subway, but an elevated train.
It's an L-train.
And it takes you all the way through Atlanta and has all these different stops.
No one rides it because you just might as well rob yourself and save somebody else the trouble if you get on the MARTA system.
But this is the thing.
So white people are to blame for the traffic because they moved out of the city.
If they hadn't moved out of the city, they wouldn't have been on the streets and there wouldn't have been traffic jams.
So this is the thing, and I actually wrote about this in my book.
If white people leave the inner city, they're guilty of white flight, and of course, that's racism.
If white people, for whatever reason, move into a majority black neighborhood, then they're guilty of gentrification.
And that's also racism.
So again, the only consistency there is that white people are always wrong, no matter what they do, and they're always racist no matter what they do.
If they leave the city, they're racist.
If they move into all black neighborhoods, they're racist.
And they certainly were the reason that the snowstorm hit Atlanta.
The only way that they could come back into the city and not be racist is if they made themselves slaves to the black people in the city, which is really what they want all along.
It was Franz Fanon, the famous black Marxist revolutionary, who said that the true goal of the slave is not to achieve his freedom, but rather that he exchanged places with his slave master.
So that's what they would like.
You know, if they had not moved to Cobb County, by the way, most of them would probably be dead had they continued to live in Atlanta.
And then they wouldn't be there to cause a traffic jam.
So I guess there is a point that they're making there.
Oh, man.
That was just one of the more ridiculous examples of racism that has passed off as mainstream, serious political commentary.
Well, oh, yes, I hadn't thought of it that way.
Yes, of course the whites caused it to snow.
And they were the reason the ice stopped traffic from moving.
And, you know, you're supposed to read that and say, yes, I hadn't thought about that before.
But yes, racism was to blame for it snowing in Atlanta this week.
And we just didn't know it until somebody pointed it out.
Keith, you've got something here.
I want to give you the remainder of this hour.
You've brought in a stack of fish wrap here.
Keith does that.
I don't know how he does it, but he will read the local paper.
I can't stand to bear it.
But let's see why he brought in the paper.
All right, let's get to the Copperhead real quick, and then we'll turn it to Keith.
Copperhead, what do you got for us tonight up there in New York, my friend?
Hey, good evening, James.
Mr. Alexander, Eddie, what's going on tonight?
Well, the same old Cezpool bilge is bubbling up from the mainstream media, and we have to cover it.
What's happening in your neck of the world or the woods?
Well, just kind of doing the normal commute and heard the early story of what happened on the Metro North.
And this is the exact reason why when people ask me, I do an hour, 45-minute commute.
Why don't you take the mass transit in New York?
Well, because what I would see on it would probably land me in prison.
Writing with the type of individuals and doing all sorts of stuff.
I mean, I certainly wouldn't have idly stood by and let that go down.
No, the fur would have fallen flowing.
Well, you know, on the other hand, these indignities happen on almost a daily basis.
We cover them.
We bring them to light.
But, you know, there's a never-ending torrent of stories like this that show just exactly how far we've fallen as a nation, as a culture, as a civilization due to the triumph of liberalism, and in particular in so-called progressive race relations.
But again, somehow it all seems to be lost in the wash.
Somehow, nobody ever connects dots and says, you know, the reason that we have things like this happening today is because liberalism has triumphed.
Liberalism is the modern face of evil as far as we're concerned.
And that particular story about the man, you know, doing what he did on this sleeping pregnant woman, something that you would never have heard about, never would have occurred in 1940s America,
is just another example of the fact that we have just become numb to the most egregious indignities and bad behavior because of this wonderful blessing that we're supposed to all be living under called diversity.
Right, absolutely.
Last week, when Mr. Miller was talking about an approach to the youth in the Southern Nationalist movement, I was very interested after I heard that.
I really wasn't up to speed on the full conversation.
I apologize if I kind of segued away from that in my call-in.
But I think it would be very interesting if you two could approach this, especially to children in private schools in the South and kind of like a youth movement of what's going on in France with the whole identitarian movement.
Copperhead, we will try to get to that.
In fact, I got a story about education coming up in a minute.

Welcome back to Get On The Show.
Call us on James's Dime at 1-866-986-6397.
Without question, the best part of the show each week is when that bumper music let's hang on by Frankie Venom, the Four Seasons plays.
But I wish y'all could see, folks, how rowdy it is in the studio during the commercial break when Eddie is here.
When Eddie walks in, it just an animal house.
It's like a fraternity here in the studio.
It's loud and they're obnoxious to do this show.
I try to focus and all that testosterone.
There's too much testosterone in here when the three of us, it's all three pieces come together and it's just tell you what it's we got to be able to see it.
The whole is better than the individual pieces.
But folks, let me tell you this.
We've been hinting at this for a couple of weeks now, I guess.
You know, just dropping a hint here, dropping a hint here.
We're going to make an official announcement here in a few days on the radio show and on the website.
Everybody listening to this show, everybody listening to this show will have a chance to join us in the flesh this fall in Memphis in October.
We are going to have a celebration, a 10-year anniversary party for the political cesspool.
It's going to be a family reunion, is what it is.
Everyone who listens to this show is invited.
We're going to lay out all the details for you.
Sam Bushman will be there.
You'll be able to spend the weekend with me and Eddie and Keith.
We're going to have musical entertainment and we're going to do a live broadcast of the show that last Saturday in October.
Go ahead.
I chuckled because Eddie said that the featured speaker is going to be Rabbi Waxman.
We'll see about that.
But no.
Folks, mark it on your calendar.
Pencil it in.
And we're going to give you all the details.
Save the date.
The last weekend of October, you need to be in Memphis.
If you are a fan of this show, we are going to give you a party.
To be remembered.
To be remembered.
10 years.
We have done this for 10 years.
That is impossible.
We have made the impossible possible.
Thanks to the people who listen to this show.
This is a listener-supported show to take on these hard issues in this political climate and to make it 10 years and be stronger every year than we were the year before is a miracle, folks.
And we're going to celebrate that miracle with the people who made it happen.
That's you, that's Sam Bushman, and that's the hosting staff.
Last weekend in Memphis this October, save the date.
And we're going to give you all the information about how you can sign up and be a part of that celebration.
This isn't going to be a conference in the traditional sense.
This is going to be a party.
It's going to be a celebration.
It's going to be, what is it going to be, Keith?
It's going to be a movable feast.
Yes, we're going to eat, that's for sure.
All right, Keith.
Tell us what you got in the paper here.
Okay.
Back in the previous edition of the Citizens Informer, I wrote an article at the behest of the editor of the Citizens Informer, of course.
That's the official newspaper of the Council of Conservative Citizens.
And what I said was, the title of this article, which is on page 25, says, Supreme Court strikes down key provisions of Voting Rights Act of 1965.
National media, civil rights groups, and the usual suspects, quote unquote, go berserk.
And it starts out this way.
The 2013 session of the U.S. Supreme Court was noteworthy for handing down for handing down three, for handling three hot-button issues, affirmative action, homosexual marriage, and that totem of the civil rights era, the presumably Sankrosan Voting Rights Act of 1965.
Conservatives lost two of these decisions, but won the Voting Rights Act case, Shelby County, Alabama versus Holder, as in Eric Holder, the Attorney General of the United States under Obama.
Predictably, the mainstream media's response to the devastating loss for conservatives in the affirmative action case, Fisher versus University of Texas, was muted.
You might even say the silence was deafening.
The victory for conservatives and loss for liberals in the Voting Rights Act case, however, was apparently a horse of a different color.
The mainstream media response varied from strident criticism to howling outrage, coupled with threats of undying opposition from the civil rights establishment institutions like the NAACP and chronic societal malcontents like Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton.
Strategies for circumventing the Supreme Court's decision were hatched within hours after the holder decision was handed down.
I have yet to hear of any similar strategies emanating from conservative think tanks such as the Heritage Foundation for how to overcome the much more important confirmation of affirmative action represented by the Fisher versus University of Texas decision.
Well, I was reading the local weekly black paper, the tri-state defender here in Memphis, also known as the tri-state offender.
And sure enough, what pops up on page five, but confirmation of our prescient view that there would be some strategy hatched to undo the decision in Shelby County, Alabama versus Holder.
Here is an article by Zanitha Prince called Legislation Introduced to Update, quote-unquote, Voting Rights Act.
A bipartisan, bicameral group of congressional lawmakers has introduced legislation to update the Voting Rights Act, one of the central victories in the civil rights movement in the United States.
Congressman Jim Sensenbronner, Republican Wisconsin, and Congressman John Conyers, Democrat, Michigan, recently introduced House H.R. 3899, the Voting Rights Amendment Act, in the House.
Senate Judiciary Committee.
Chairman Patrick Leahy, Democrat Vermont, will file a companion bill in the Senate.
The legislation arose out of a June 2013 Supreme Court decision in Shelby County, Alabama versus Holder that struck down Section 4 of the Voting Rights Act.
That key provision determined which jurisdictions would be covered by Section 5 of the law, which requires states with a history of racial discrimination against minority voters to obtain federal pre-clearance before implementing new election laws.
This is what we were talking about before.
This is legislation directed against particular states in the union.
Almost all legislation applies equally to conduct, which could occur anywhere.
But under the Voting Rights Act, southern states in particular were singled out for special punitive attention.
And basically, they reversed the burden of proof in an administrative and a legal case by making the accused prove their innocence rather than making the prosecution prove the defendants innocent.
I mean, guilt.
Now, that's exactly what we predicted.
They are, you know, they will never rest.
Any victory that the conservative side gets in a Supreme Court decision is immediately challenged or subverted by an army of leftist lawyers and by their running dogs in the Congress.
You see that it's a game now, the Supreme Court with judicial review of heads I win, tails you lose.
I've heard nothing coming from this feckless conservative opposition to the left like the Heritage Foundation challenging the confirmation of affirmative action in the Fisher versus University of Texas case.
But I mean, the howling outrage that I noted in my article has borne fruit in legislation that has been introduced in Congress this past week by the left.
It's as predictable as night following day, folks, and we predicted it here at the political cesspool.
Keith, my learned friend, I'm going to ask you a question for the audience.
The audience out there, this is Eddie Bobba Deere Miller, I'm going to ask my brethren, Keith, you know, he just said that the accused has to prove their innocence, which, you know, there's an axiom that you can't prove a negative.
Keith, is there any way on earth that a person could prove that they're innocent?
I mean, that they're not, that they have not discriminated against someone.
You know, I mean, how would they do that?
Well, they're certainly not going to do it against a biased judge, and that's what you get in the federal system nowadays, biased judges.
They're selected specifically because they are card-carrying members of the left.
Anybody that has views like those expressed on the political cesspool, even those expressed by the Heritage Foundation, is automatically disqualified from being a federal federal judge nowadays.
So you can see what a devastating weapon it would be to have this pre-clearance certification requirement for changing election laws.
It doesn't allow Republican lawmakers to redistrict with the same freedom that Democratic lawmakers can redistrict with when they gain control of the state legislature.
In Tennessee, for example, The Republicans have firm control of the state legislature, and had it not been for the holder, the Shelby County versus Holder decision, they would be totally unable to follow up their victory with redistricting that would be in their favor, just like the Democrats always redistrict when they gain control of a state legislature in their interests, because we're playing a game where the rules are heads I win, tails you lose.
And you're absolutely right, Eddie.
You can't prove a negative.
And I see James giving me the high sign here.
We'll be back with more on this and other topics of interest after these words from our sponsors here at the Political Cesspool.
Another hour of the Political Cesspool is in the can, but don't go away.
