Good evening, everybody.
Good evening, audience, all across the world, and of course, here in the United States.
Bill Rowland sitting in tonight for James Edwards, who actually had emergency surgery last night.
He had a burst appendix, and so he is down for the count right now.
I'm sure he'll be bouncing back next week.
It wasn't anything terribly serious.
An appendix is not really something we have to worry about anymore.
But nevertheless, he did have death surgery, and he is recovering in the hospital.
So I know everyone will want to send their prayers out to James and for his full and quick recovery.
But as always, with me tonight is the inimitable Keith Alexander.
I know Keith Alexander is a lot to talk about tonight, so we're going to get straight into it.
We've got three full hours of Bill and Keith tonight, or as long as Keith wants to say, but you'll have three full hours of Bill.
So I'm going to give Keith the first hour and he's going to run with it.
Keith, what you got tonight?
Well, first of all, James did have an appendectomy.
I had lunch with him yesterday.
He didn't eat all of his lunch, which is probably a first.
James told me later on that he felt a little bit queasy at that time.
And then later in the afternoon and into the early evening, he started to feel even worse.
So he went to the minor medical center, and they told him that he needed to get into the hospital right away because they thought he had a burst appendix.
Apparently he did, but they caught it in plenty of time.
And he's had an emergency appendectomy.
In fact, I don't know of any appendectomies that aren't emergency appendectomies nowadays, but everything seems to be well.
He's running a fever at the present time.
They're worried about that probably because of the catheter that they put in him.
But he's getting the best of care at the hospital here in Memphis, and we expect him to be back next week.
All right.
Let's get right into it then.
I've gone back into my behind enemy lines mode.
And specifically, there's an article in the Thursday, October 18th, 2012 Commercial Appeal, Memphis Commercial Appeal, that I think is of particular interest because it confirms something that we've been telling you here on the cesspool for years.
Here's the name of the story.
Christian Aid Query Angers Jews by Rachel Zahl, Z-O-L-L, New York.
Major American Jewish organizations said Wednesday that they have canceled talks with liberal Protestant leaders after the churches sought an investigation of U.S. military aid to Israel.
The American Jewish Committee, the American Anti-Definite Defamation League, and the Jewish Council for Public Affairs and Conservative and Reformed Jewish Movements are among those withdrawing from the National Christian Jewish Roundtable.
The dialogue group was founded in 2004 to raise tensions over escalating church protests against Israeli policy in the Palestinian territories.
The Jewish groups announced their decision in response to a request by several mainline Protestant leaders for Congress to reevaluate U.S. military aid to the Jewish state.
The church leaders said an October 5 letter to Congress that Israel was guilty of widespread human rights violations against Palestinians that violated U.S. legal standards for recipients of military aid.
Rabbi Stephen Warnick, chief executive of the United Synagogue of Conservative Judaism, called the claims repugnant, regrettable, and morally misguided.
The American Jewish Committee, a co-founder of the dialogue group, has requested a meeting with senior church leaders to determine a more positive path forward.
The church leaders seeking the congressional hearings represent some of the largest mainline Protestant groups in the United States.
They include Presiding Bishop Mark Hansen, head of the Evangelical Lutheran Church.
That's Bill's Church, for example, in America.
Not evangelical.
Oh, you're not in the Evangelical.
Okay, then we'll go.
You're in the Missouri Senate, I think.
All right.
Well, I'll let Bill tell us about that.
But anyway, they include Presiding Bishop Mark Hansen, head of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, Grady Parsons, a top executive in the Presbyterian Church USA, Rosemary Wimmer, President of the United Methodist Council of Bishops, and Peg Burke, leader of the National Council of Churches.
In the letter to Congress, the Christian leaders said both Israeli and Palestinians share responsibility for the conflict in the region.
And church leaders acknowledged the suffering of both groups.
But the leaders said, we have also witnessed widespread Israeli human rights violations committed against Palestinians.
Arguing that U.S. military aid to Israel was sustaining the conflict and undermining the long-term security interests of both Israelis and Palestinians, church leaders said Congress should investigate whether Israel violated the human rights standards set by the Foreign Assistance Act and the Arms Export Control Act.
The U.S. Episcopal Church, also a member of the interreligious dialogue, didn't endorse a Protestant statement.
Well, James should be listening, but Bill, this just confirms what we've been telling our audience here at the Cesspool for years, which was that there is a difference between the mainline Protestants today and fundamentalist Protestants like the Southern Baptists, like the Church of Christ, like the Assemblies of God.
Originally, back in the 70s and in the 80s, I thought that the fundamentalists were going to be the salt and light, the faithful remnant, because they were resisting the takeover of liberalism in the churches.
The Roman Catholic Church had turned liberal.
The mainline Protestant denominations, and some of you may not be familiar with that term, the mainline are the old established Protestant churches, the ones that provided 90% or more of our presence throughout our history.
Groups like the Presbyterian Church USA, the Methodist Church, the Episcopal Church, the Congregational Church, the Northern Baptist Church, the Disciples of Christ.
Groups like that, they call them the Seven Sisters of the Mainline.
And all of these churches have had dwindling membership.
In fact, they're dwindling to such a point that one commentator, an author named Thomas Rees from the University of Wisconsin, who wrote a book called The Empty Church that dealt specifically with the Malaise in the mainline Protestant denomination said that soon the churches will be exclusively the province of vegetarians and college professors because really, you know, to put it bluntly, their religion nowadays is simply liberalism.
Christianity has been supplanted by liberalism.
What they do is, to use Pat Buchanan's inimitable phrase, they take a cafeteria outlook towards the Bible.
They extract quotes and passages that support their liberal viewpoint.
And anything that doesn't support their liberal viewpoint, they blithely ignore or denounce or say that it needs to be updated.

Welcome back, everybody.
This is Bill Rowland sitting in tonight for James Edwards, who is, in fact, hospitalized after surgery for a first appendix.
So I know everybody's going to send their prayers out to James and wish him well tonight.
But with me is, as always, Keith Alexander giving pertinent and interesting commentary on news items, particularly from our local rag, The Commercial Appeal, which is on its deathbed.
James will recover.
The commercial appeal is not.
It's on a death ride.
But in any case, you were discussing, Keith, the mainline church's opposition to the military aid we're giving Israel and Israel's response.
Well, at least some of the Jews in the United States rabbis made the comment that such statements are repugnant and repulsive or whatever.
In other words, going over the top instead of just saying, well, we politely disagree with the view, they have to sort of demonize these people.
And certainly the mainline churches, as far as we're concerned, are a dead end because of the liberalism within.
But interestingly enough, they've taken this stand vis-a-vis Israel.
Well, that's right.
There is a difference in Protestantism.
The Protestant denominations are basically split into the mainline and the fundamentalists.
Now, James is a fundamentalist.
Both Bill and I were from mainline Protestant backgrounds.
So it gives us, and Eddie, of course, is a Southern Baptist too, so he's from the fundamentalist side.
So basically, that gives us an interesting dialogue here at the political cesspool on this issue.
And as I said, I used to think that the fundamentalists were going to be the faithful remnant.
But now they have not only embraced the social gospel with a zeal at least equal to, and possibly arguably even greater than that of the mainline Protestant churches, which, to be quite frank about it, are almost dead now.
They basically, you know that your church is dying when its primary stewardship campaign surrounds estate planning.
In other words, they're trying to live off the corpse of their congregation because they're not getting a new congregation.
The young people are staying away in droves from these churches like the Disciples of Christ, like the Episcopal Church, like the Presbyterians, like the Methodists, groups like that.
But the mainline has, you know, they were liberal early on.
They started being liberal in the 50s.
In the 60s, they were right up there linking arms with Martin Luther King and all of these Jewish agitators from outside of the South during the Civil Rights Movement.
They've been at the forefront of every liberal, radical, egalitarian movement that's come down the pike.
But something happened to the fundamentalists in the 1980s.
I don't know what it was.
I do remember when Adrian Rogers, who was the head of Bellevue Baptist Church right here in Memphis, which was the largest Southern Baptist congregation in the entire denomination, won a battle for the leadership of the Southern Baptist denomination.
He was a conservative.
He then drove the money changers from the temple, so to speak.
In this case, it was driving the liberals out of the seminaries, the Southern Baptist seminaries, and it looked like truth, justice, and the American way were prevailing, at least in the Southern Baptist denomination, which is kind of the flagship of the fundamentalist denominations in America, truth be known.
It certainly is here in our region around Memphis.
But something has happened.
You know, the left is nothing if not patient.
They have a reptilian patience almost.
You know, they just sit there and wait, and they're never defeated.
They're just momentary setbacks to their takeover.
And now, I listen to Southern Baptists, like, for example, Bellevue Baptist has this Bellevue Loves Memphis initiative.
And basically, when you strip it down from all of the veneer, what it's about is transferring wealth from the white community, and particularly the Southern Baptists, to the black community.
They're just buying churches for random black pastors because they can't persuade black people to join their churches in any numbers because blacks have enough racial pride that they're not going to go to another race's predominantly populated church.
They're going to have their own pastors, even if the pastor is a crook.
They're going to have a black pastor.
So the Southern Baptists, at least in Memphis, have much more money and much more energy in their outreach than the mainline Protestants do.
And they also have embraced a peculiar heresy that goes back to John Darby in the 19th century, a Scottish theologian, called Jewish dispensationalism.
It basically says the Jews can do no wrong.
He who blesses Israel is blessed.
He who curses Israel is cursed.
And that's what's behind all these crazy, mixed-up televangelists like John Hagee, who are constantly making trips to Israel, constantly exhorting their flock to do it, constantly saying that the Jews are still the chosen people of God.
And people like Hagee have even gone to the lengths or the extremes of saying that Jews don't have to embrace Jesus as their Lord and Savior in order to be saved.
They can be saved.
They have a dual covenant.
In other words, God has a special deal cut out for the Jews, just like the gypsies think that God has made a special deal with them, that they can be thieves and that stealing is not a sin for a gypsy.
Apparently, Jews aren't required to embrace Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior in order to be saved.
You know, that is the craziest notion I've ever heard of, Bill.
Basically, that flies in the face of Christianity's reason for existence.
But nonetheless, what is happening here is that it shows exactly this article that I was reading from shows that difference.
There are no fundamentalists.
The silence is deafening from the fundamentalist Christians about questioning the propriety of Jewish relations with the Palestinians.
The mainline is questioning it because at least in this respect, they haven't drunk the same Kool-Aid that the fundamentalists have.
What say you, Bill?
Well, I'll say this much, Keith, that the churches in this country are doing everything they can to euthanize Christianity among the people.
I mean, recent statistics shows that 20% of the people in this country now have no religious affiliation.
And some interpretations have been made of that, that they simply don't belong to mainstream churches.
But the fact is, the fundamentalist churches, which were once conservative, are now embracing some of the social gospel, particularly with regards to race.
Whereas the mainline liberal churches may be opposing Israel on certain things and have rejected dispensationalism.
But for the average Christian, neither church is doing much for us.
They're not doing anything for their white Christian populations.
One case I think is interesting that I know of is that the reform movement in the church, particularly among Presbyterians, Reformed Presbyterians, Reformed Church, is headed by a group up in Idaho.
And they have been preaching the reform and good families, how families should be built, and how the wife should be submissive to the husbands, some of this mainline doctrine.
But on the other hand, they go out and find this black theologian, so-called, named Anthony Bradley, because he was supposed to be a shuck and jive black who nevertheless embraced reform.
But now he's been, of course, consecrated by this group.
And so he's come out criticizing them because, among other things, they have talked and said good things about the Confederacy.
So you see, of course, all of this business that has to do with the mainline churches and bringing in blacks and everything else has its basis in liberalism and also in Judaism, the praise of Judaism.

This is Bill Rowland, sitting in tonight and taking the pilot seat for James Edwards, who, as we have said in the previous segment, had to take a break to have emergency surgery to have his appendix removed.
So James is down and out right now, but we know he'll make a full recovery.
Appendicitis is not the killer it used to be, fortunately, but we're going to use James as our poster boy since he's in the hospital to beg donations.

He's been raiding the studio refrigerator and sort of refreshing himself.
So he's going to be back full of energy and commentary.
And Keith, we broke off by talking about the mainline and fundamentalist churches having gone astray and leading their flocks astray or running them off.
Yeah, basically when people ask for a fish and they're given a serpent and they ask for a loaf and they're given a stone, they seek spiritual nourishment elsewhere.
And, you know, coming to the comments that you were making about how the Protestant churches and basically the Catholic Church too are dwindling in numbers, this is the first time in American history, they said, where the majority of Americans are not Protestant Christians.
And the reason is not that they're transferring their allegiance to Islam or they're transferring their religion to the Roman Catholic Church.
It's because they now are no longer identified with any church or any religious affiliation.
And of course, this is exactly what happened to Europe.
That's why, for example, in the old homeland, England, less than 2% of the population attends church services on Sunday morning.
This is because of the increasing liberalism of the churches.
This is not, at least in my opinion, totally the fault of the people.
They've been driven out of those churches to a certain extent, and other people have chosen not to go because they've embraced liberalism.
If your faith, if what you get when you go to the church on Sunday morning is nothing but hardcore, straight liberalism, which is what you get in most of the mainline Protestant denominations, and unfortunately it's what you're getting more and more if you go to a fundamentalist church like Bellevue Baptist in Memphis.
Well, if that's what you're going to get, why belong to a church?
The Christian message, Jesus Christ is the Lord and Savior of the world, is the fundamental message of the Christian church.
And you don't hear that.
You hear political correctness.
You hear multiculturalism being preached.
Basically, all of the churches have embraced the civil rights movement, which we think is the fundamental error of so-called mainline or mainstream conservatives, as well as mainline and mainstream Protestants and Roman Catholics for that matter in America today.
They want to give a pass to the civil rights movement, and the civil rights movement was nothing less than the first radical egalitarian movement, the first wave, if you will, of enemy encroachment on traditional America.
And if you allow the civil rights movement to suddenly be this righteous beacon of truth, justice, and the American way, well, then you've given the left the perfect haven.
You've given them a beachhead from which they can lob shells onto you.
You see this all the time.
For example, we mentioned in the blog this week that gay marriage has been put up for a referendum by the voters in 32 states.
It has lost in all 32 states.
But if you listen to the media, the Jewish-run media in America, if you listen to the newspapers, if you listen to the television, if you listen to the magazines, you will think that gay marriage and its proponents are in the ascendancy and the opponents are in retreat, in headlong retreat.
Of course, it's not that way.
People don't like liberalism, and that I would offer is why they're not going to a lot of churches nowadays, because we have so many liberal churches.
If you want a message of liberalism, why join a church?
You can go to the Rotary Club.
You can go to the Lions Club.
You can go to the Optimus Club.
You can go to Leadership Memphis or Leadership Kookamonga, what leadership group in your town.
You can go to the Bridge Builders.
You can go to any number of groups.
Now, all of the, as we've said before, basically, liberalism is a Jewish invention, modern liberalism, or at least I will say this.
Jews are the essential ingredient.
They're the yeast that makes the dough rise in liberalism.
Without Jewish money, Jewish power and influence, Jewish organizational skill, Jewish zeal, none of the radical egalitarian movements that have typified American life in the last part of the 20th century into the 21st century, everything from the civil rights movement to the gay marriage initiative, none of these things would have gained the least bit of traction.
It was Jewish money and Jewish organizational skill and Jewish intelligence and Jewish media control that was responsible for the triumph of liberalism.
And it's also responsible for the long march through the institutions, a cultural Marxist tactic of choice.
And of course, that long march through the institutions is led through every institution in American life and in European life that sets moral or ethical values, including, unfortunately, the church.
Now, they like Christians, particularly mainline Protestants, to be the amen corner.
If you'll notice in the civil rights movement, in the gay rights movement, in radical feminism, in all of these liberal movements that have transpired over the last half century or 60 years or more, basically the Jews are in the forefront.
And the white mainline Protestants or Protestants of any stripe basically are just the amen corner of the liberal movement.
But you're going to, this article that we were reading from, the Christian aid query, Christian aid query angers Jews, shows you that the Jews basically don't allow any dissent.
What they've done, for example, with the NAACP in regard to the gay rights initiative is tell groups like the NAACP, you better get in line with us and tell your people to stop opposing gay rights because if you do, we're going to cut off the money.
Well, that got their attention in a big hurry, and that's why the NAACP's leadership, at least, is now biting their tongues about their opposition to gay marriage.
Well, this brings up the subject that I wanted to get to in this hour or the next hour, Keith, and that's the idea coming out of Hollywood and coming out of the networks that there is a, quote, new normal.
And in fact, many of the new shows on this season that have just come on the air deal with the idea of the new normal.
And what is the new normal?
The new normal is an unqualified acceptance of homosexuality as a normal lifestyle, a normal behavior.
And of course, mixed-race marriages, mixed-race relationships are not only normal, but healthier than those of people of the same race.
And in fact, superior, which is statistical nonsense, because a white woman who marries a black man is 12 times more likely to be murdered by her black spouse than if she had a white spouse, or a significant other.
So that's statistical nonsense that is healthier.
But besides that, it's disinformation, and it's dangerous disinformation.
But the point is that this is what the media, the liberal establishment media is pressing on us.
And they have simply declared that there's a new normal.
Now, Keith, as we were discussing before the show, what if, like, James, you went to the hospital with a high fever and abdominal pains and you were admitted into the emergency room, the nurse takes your temperature, and a short time later, a doctor comes out and says, oh, by the way, there's no reason for you to be here because 104 temperature is the new normal.
Well, your next stop outside as you leave the hospital is to call Keith Alexander or some other lawyer and sue that hospital for malpractice.
The same would go if you went to a car dealership to buy a car and you found the steering wheel in the back seat and the gauges on the floorboard and the accelerator on the roof of the car.
You say, hey, what is this?
I can't drive this car.
This car's not going anywhere.
And the dealer said, oh, well, this is the new normal.
This is what we've decided is a new normal automobile and the standard and you need to accept that.
Well, you wouldn't buy that car.
And by the same token, we shouldn't be buying this multi-culti, everybody is equal and everything is normal nonsense because it's destructive and it's unhealthy.
And it's going to lead to disastrous consequences.
And we're coming into a break here pretty quick.
When we get back, we'll talk about the double standards when it comes to, for instance, the Boy Scouts.
You know, the Boy Scouts have now come out with this list of perverts who they were supposedly monitoring to keep them out from being scout masters.
This went on for over 20 years, that they were just monitoring these people.
But on the one hand, the liberals and everyone else are an outrage.
Just, oh, this is disgusting that these men were allowed in to molest these boys.
But at the same time, the liberals say we should admit gay scout masters, you know, in other words, perpetrating the problem and actually making it much more severe than it would be otherwise.
And so, this is what we're going to talk about after this break.
The new normal, the real normal people here in this studio, the real normal, are talking to you from the political cesspool.

And tonight we're filling in for the absolutely incomparable James Edwards, who unfortunately had to have emergency surgery for an appendix.

And of course, we all wish him well and send him our prayers for a quick recovery.
Keith, we were discussing the new normal, which is the old pervert.
You know, the old perversion is the new normal because the liberal media, the establishment liberal media, has held a long campaign to normalize abnormal behavior, which was going to lead to the destruction of society.
There's no doubt about it.
I mean, it's going to lead to the breakdown in society on all levels.
Well, funny you should mention this because I saw an article in today's commercial appeal that said that they had apparently taken some type of poll and that white people had the lowest percentage of gay people, people who self-identified themselves as gay of any other group.
Now, this is kind of counterintuitive because most of the gay people that you encounter, at least I've encountered, tend to be white.
But that is because white people are by far the largest part of the population.
We're still around 60 to 66%, depending on who you ask of the population.
So 3.2% of that group would be a lot more than, let's say, 50% even of some other groups in America.
But I think Hispanics were at 4%, blacks were at 5% and whatnot.
It was all set out in the paper.
But anyway, that shows you what we're dealing with.
See, back in the old days, back in the normal days, the days that the people that listen to this radio show would call normal, black people and, excuse me, gay people tried to stay in the closet.
And I'm sure there are a lot of people that had incipient homosexual ways that basically went through their whole life suppressing this.
And quite frankly, their lives and society in general were better for it.
You know, once you get to be in your 50s or 60s and the fires of lust kind of subside in your life, I think that a lot of these men and women that suppress this instinct to come out of the closet, as they say nowadays, enjoyed having an extended family, enjoyed having children and grandchildren.
And they also enjoyed not having AIDS and other sexually transmitted diseases that are part and parcel of the gay lifestyle.
But, you know, the fact that you were talking about this multicultural festival that was held at a park near your house today, where they had all of these concerned white people holding up signs, stop the killing, when any fool knows that all of this killing that happens in a place like Memphis is, for the most part, black-on-black crime.
And see, you know, if you listen to this, it's like it's a taboo topic to mention the reality of where these high crime rates come from, where all this killing comes from, and what needs to be done to suppress it.
it's also like a tea party you know the tea party movement has very few black members but any black member is immediately allowed to leapfrog over all the rank and file white supporters of the tea party movement they're put up on the speaker's dais to be at least the amen corner of the primary speakers because apparently no white person's view in the eyes of these main line or mainstream conservatives in american political life today
the ideas of white people have no validity unless they're endorsed by people of color of some type or homosexuals.
So you've got to have those people on your team or else, you know, they have internalized this hatred of whiteness apparently to such an extent that they no longer think their ideas have any validity unless they can somehow cajole or persuade minorities or at least one or two aberrant minorities to approve of them.
Keith, that's the point.
You're talking about this multi-culti little festival that was held here in, as I say, a park not far from where I live.
And of course, these white people are streaming in, doing their zombie walk right into this cavalcade of multicultural acceptance and love and everything else.
But the fact is, when they leave, they're going to go home to their neighbors.
They're not going to put those stop the killing signs in their front yards, which happens a lot in the black part of town where these signs go up.
They don't stop anything.
In fact, they seem to draw more killing when they put them up in the yards.
But nevertheless, this is just the deliberate self-delusion of liberals and white people that somehow their participation or their influence over matters is so profound that they simply have to show up wearing a t-shirt with everybody holding hands, you know, the black, white, red, yellow hands all linked together, and that that's going to cure all the problems.
So there's a certain really narcissism among liberals and conceit that they're actually making a difference in all this when they're simply deluding themselves.
Well, it's part of the great delusion that was visited upon the American people as a result of the civil rights movement.
You know, there are a lot of people that believe that black people accomplish the gains that they got for themselves in the civil rights movement all by themselves.
All that happened in the civil rights movement was that black people collectively got sick and tired of being sick and tired.
They linked arms, started swaying back and forth, singing spirituals, and the walls came a tumbling down.
And of course, that is, you know, the most absurd fable that anyone could ever come up with.
What happened was Jewish power and influence fueled the whole thing.
And apparently people still buy into this same myth that all we have to do is protest against something that we don't like and we'll make it disappear.
Well, black crime seems to be an intractable problem despite all the hand-holding, hand-wringing, rending of garments, gnashing of teeth that white liberals engage in about it and blacks engage in about it.
It's like Old Man River, it just keeps rolling along.
And for example, let's go back to the civil rights movement and tell you what really happened.
Did you ever think about Martin Luther King's speech at the Reflecting Pool back in, I think it was 1963, where you had thousands upon thousands of people, primarily black people, listening to his speech where he said he was looking forward to the day when his daughters would be judged by the content of their character and not the color of their skin.
You know, that's the conservatives' favorite excerpted quote from Martin Luther King.
And did it ever occur to you to ask, how did all those thousands, hundreds of thousands of black people arrive in Washington, D.C. from all over the country?
Did they all decide collectively at one moment to break their piggy panks and get their rainy day funds out and take a bus trip to D.C.?
Of course not.
You know, anybody that believes that has no knowledge of black people as they really are.
What happened was it was an expense-paid vacation made possible by the generosity of leading Jewish groups in America, like the American Jewish Congress and specifically the remnants of the old Julius K. Rosenwald Foundation.
Rosenwald was a Jewish haberdasher who became in charge of the men's clothing lines at Sears Roebuck and Company.
He made a hatful.
In the 20s, he created the Julius Rosenwald Foundation, and their purpose was to build one-room schoolhouses in the segregated South exclusively for the education of black children.
Well, after Brown versus Board of Education, that was no longer necessary.
So the money was then diverted to be used to finance the civil rights movement.
Another thing that always intrigued me when I was a kid watching NBC, CBS, and ABC coverage of the civil rights movement was how did they get all these black guys that were always on the TV to dress alike?
That's just not the way of black people.
They like to express their individuality.
But you didn't ever see these people in Zoot suits like you normally did on the streets of Memphis.
You saw them all wearing white shirts with solid colored black ties or dark ties and a dark pair of pants and a dark pair of shoes and dark socks.
Now, what was going on?
Well, I'll tell you what was going on.
This was decreed by the powers that be in liberalism, and it came, they were taught this.
The kingpins of the movement were taught this at a group at a school called the Highlander Folk School in Mount Eagle, Tennessee.
It was like the Paris island of the civil rights movement demonstrators.
They would send people like Rosa Parks and Martin Luther King there and everybody down the line.
And they basically decreed that for public relations purposes, no Zoot suits.
You got to wear the uniform.
And what they would do is they would throw dog feces, bottles of urine and stuff like this on the police.
And then the music Harve leaped to his feet and said, something's got a hold on me.
Yeah, the day the squirrel went berserk in the first South Baptist church in that sleeping little town of Pastor Goober.
It was a fight for survival.
And that broke out in revival.
They were jumping fumes and shouting, Hallelujah.
Well, Harve hit the aisles dancing and screaming.
Some thought he had religion.
Others thought he had a demon and Harr thought he had a weed eater loose in his proven balloons.
He fell to his knees to plead and beg and the squirrel ran out of his britch's leg unobserved to the other side of the room.
