[00:00:05] Well, okay, perhaps it will be somewhat entertaining and informative at least. [00:00:11] So we are in the Temple of Iron. [00:00:13] You see me there. [00:00:14] What a specimen. [00:00:16] What an ice giant from Hyperborea blessed by the Norse gods. [00:00:21] So anyway, I'm attempting here three repetitions at 240, 240 kilos. [00:00:27] And we'll see if I can manage such a great feat of strength. [00:00:32] So first repetition goes there. [00:00:34] Boom. [00:00:34] Nice. [00:00:35] Then we're loading up, trying to visualize using psycho-magical techniques to get the repetition up. [00:00:43] So loading up there and rolling it towards me and exploding up. [00:00:49] A bit shakiness there, but still okay. [00:00:53] So now we're attempting the third and final repetition. [00:00:57] So let's go champs. [00:01:00] And there we do not go. [00:01:04] So I let it go. [00:01:05] I felt that my technique would have broken down completely. [00:01:08] So I let it go rather than to risk injury. [00:01:11] Now how to redeem this? [00:02:24] So there you see, I'm asking my adoring fan Victor to zoom in to the Hammer of Thor because I use it when I deadlift for some extra powers. [00:02:33] So now I thought to redeem myself, redeem my failure. [00:02:37] So as you saw, the last set I failed. [00:02:40] I didn't do the three repetitions I set out to do, so I'll do it some other time. [00:02:45] So now I actually set a personal best. [00:02:47] So eight repetitions at 190 kilos. [00:02:51] So I thought to just rep it out a bit. [00:02:53] Usually I don't go so high. [00:02:56] I don't do so many repetitions on the deadlift in case the form breaks down. [00:03:00] But the weight here is actually quite light compared to what I was attempting. [00:03:05] So I thought I need to redeem myself somehow. [00:03:08] So I decided, let's go, champ. [00:03:10] Let's go, champs, let's try to do this. [00:03:12] Let's try to get some sort of good workout indeed. [00:03:15] And I actually got DOMS from this. [00:03:17] It's not often I get DOMs anymore, but I got from this particular session. [00:03:21] So yeah, I just thought to get in some extra work there. [00:03:24] And then next Saturday I will try to do two by two on 240. [00:03:32] So two repetitions, two sets. [00:03:35] So and then maybe the week after that I will attempt again to do three repetitions at 240 kilos. [00:03:42] So that is the plan. [00:03:43] I will keep you all updated. [00:03:44] I suppose you all follow me on the other social media platforms and of course I post YouTube shorts now as well. [00:03:51] So here we see a bonus clip of me doing some deadlifts. [00:03:54] You can observe my technique there. [00:03:56] Try to push down the very earth itself. [00:04:00] So that is the start of the movement and then I start pulling, so I actually push. [00:04:04] First I push down with my legs into the earth and then I start pulling up and then I try to push my hip forward as well. [00:04:12] Mid movement. [00:04:14] So great stuff, good old deadlifts. [00:04:17] I will keep you all updated. [00:04:19] See how far we get before the summer cut begins. [00:04:23] Now, moving on to the next exercise. [00:04:25] We have some overhead presser, military press, and I do three repetitions at 90 kilos. [00:04:32] Now my goal is to get 100 kilo in a somewhat strict press. [00:04:37] So overhead press. [00:04:38] So I try to not use any momentum with the legs there. [00:04:41] So I try to do it using the power of the shoulders. [00:04:45] Praise, build to Atlas. [00:04:47] So first set, I did three repetitions. [00:04:50] Was a bit hard on the third one, but I decided to get some more volume. [00:04:55] So I did some more sets, but only two repetitions. [00:04:58] You see there, one repetition and then down again and then explode a bit of a grind. [00:05:03] But such is the case when you don't use any momentum of the legs. [00:05:10] So here we go. [00:05:11] Third set, will I do it? [00:05:14] I look juicy, at least if I may be so bold to say so myself always important to comment on. [00:05:21] So boom, explode up, and then down and explode up. [00:05:26] I try to be as explosive as possible. [00:05:29] So nice, two nice, clean repetitions. [00:05:33] Then I lowered the weight to 80 and this is perhaps a bit of an unflattering angle, but I wanted to fill myself in this way so I can keep a look on my on my own technique always good to film yourself so you can see how you are performing. [00:05:47] So here we do, six repetitions at 80, which is quite good. [00:05:51] This is definitely not something I could do this time last year. [00:05:55] So yeah, a bit of a grind there. [00:05:57] But again, such is life, sometimes you have to grind. [00:06:02] And here we go again. [00:06:03] Five repetitions, different angle, perhaps nicer to see in this angle, I don't know. [00:06:09] But yeah, I tried to push up there. [00:06:11] I tried to look through the window, as they say, and that's when I push forward, push my head forward in the window created by my arms and the bar. [00:06:20] So again, trying to just explode there. [00:06:22] A bit of a grind and then there we have it. [00:06:26] So yeah, that is basically my training update. [00:06:28] Update: The goal here is to get to 100 kilo. [00:06:33] That is also my body weight, so that would be a good, respectable weight to get up in the overhead press.
