The Golden One - Marcus Follin - My Christmas Plans For Optimal Health and Productivity Aired: 2023-12-16 Duration: 08:19 === Train Hard, Sleep Faster (05:01) === [00:01:03] Greetings my esteemed audience. [00:01:05] I'm checking in from a beautiful winter forest. [00:01:09] Now perhaps you hear it in the background, some snow falling from the trees, and it's actually raining a bit, so a bit warmer. [00:01:15] Hopefully, the temperature cools down a bit over Christmas, so we can maintain this nice white landscape. [00:01:22] Either way, I thought to share my plans for this Yuletide for this Christmas. [00:01:27] And in sharing said Christmas plans, I'm also sharing a valuable teaching when it comes to health and productivity. [00:01:34] So I will use a training example to illustrate my point. [00:01:37] Back in the day when I was a young man, now I'm a venerable ancient, as I said. [00:01:43] I'm 3400 years old. [00:01:46] But in my younger years, I literally had to force myself to rest from the gym. [00:01:51] Because of course, I wanted to go to the gym, but I had to force myself because I knew that sometimes you need to slow down and rest, otherwise, you will train too much, maybe, and you will train suboptimally. [00:02:04] Because the body itself, not necessarily the muscles, but the skeleton and ligaments, they need a rest. [00:02:10] So you can take a deload week, and that simply means that for a week you reduce all weights in half, but you train as usual. [00:02:17] Or you can just take a rest week, not to train at all. [00:02:21] You need to do this sometimes to recover the body so you can train hard in the time to come. [00:02:27] Now, when we're talking about productivity, perhaps you are an entrepreneur or a student or whatever. [00:02:32] Whatever you do, if you're interested in productivity, you can view your own work in a similar manner. [00:02:38] That you take a break from being productive so you can be more productive later on. [00:02:42] So on a personal note, I know I have a lot of things to do, a lot of things to do, mainly with logistics in January. [00:02:49] So I'll have a lot of work to do. [00:02:50] So what do I do? [00:02:52] Yes, I slow down, I take it easy in December, I rest up and you know forcing myself to not be as productive now, so I will be hit by a rush of a yearn to be productive in January. [00:03:03] I've done this many times before and I know it works really well for me that I build up an energy, I recharge myself so much so that when the time comes, usually in the beginning of January, then I've done so much, so many non-productive things that I have charged up my motivation to be productive and then I just unleash it and be and yeah, I get a lot of things done. [00:03:26] So that is something you can keep in mind. [00:03:28] So if you ask my Christmas plans and I say that yeah I will try Age Vampires 4 because of course I grew up with H V V Empires 2, Age of Mythology and H Vampires 3 so I want to try the fourth game. [00:03:39] I want to play some Assassin's Creed and Skyrim. [00:03:42] I want to read The Siege of Terror, Dan Abnett's latest book. [00:03:46] All of these things. [00:03:47] Might ask at a first glance, how do these things? [00:03:50] How do me playing Skyrim? [00:03:52] How does that help in achieving my goals of imposing my will on the world and yeah again, achieving my long-term goals? [00:04:00] It doesn't help in the short term, but i'm not playing a short term game, i'm playing a long-term game, so I need to look out for myself in the long run. [00:04:07] In looking out for myself, i'm also looking out for my family, so you need to pace yourself in order to set a high pace later on. [00:04:15] So that is how best I can explain. [00:04:17] You know gaming as a husband and father who is quite productive. [00:04:22] Otherwise, how can he then sit down to game? [00:04:25] How is this possible? [00:04:26] Well, that is the explanation, that you use that time to build up a motivation in you to train harder. [00:04:32] No, not train harder, work harder. [00:04:34] So i'm i'm using the same example here training or working, it's the same thing. [00:04:38] So if you, if you haven't trained for a week and you're really into the gym or whatever it might be, it might be jiu-jitsu you might be bitten by the jiu-jitsu bug. [00:04:48] So you really feel like training jiu-jitsu all the time and you haven't trained for a while and then you have that journey to get back to it, and that will make you train with more enthusiasm. [00:04:57] Same thing in the gym. [00:04:58] And now and now, in this particular example, we have productivity when it comes to a business or whatever it might be. [00:05:05] So that is my plan, to force myself to not be productive. [00:05:08] So be with the family, be with the girls. [00:05:10] Read fiction books, so not my usual books i've read over the last two years. [00:05:16] So i'm taking a break from all of that, just relaxing a bit more. [00:05:19] And then come january, I believe at least I haven't decided yet, but I believe I will start jung maxing, so reading the works of Carl Jung. [00:05:27] Maybe I will start planning my own next book, who knows, we will see. [00:05:31] But the main point here is that taking it easy so I can work harder later on. [00:05:36] And yeah, try it yourself if you are in that position. [00:05:39] And also do try to. [00:05:41] If you are on on x a lot and you consume a lot of black pills, try to take a break from that too. [00:05:48] You know, if you want to participate in the metapolitical game for a long time, you need to pace yourself as well. [00:05:54] You can't constantly bombard your mind with the West is falling imagery. [00:06:00] So yeah, take a break from it as well, and then you can get back to it in during next year. === Saluting Supporters (02:14) === [00:06:05] Now lastly, for anyone who has ordered something at Lagiogloria.com, first and foremost, I salute you for supporting my beloved company. [00:06:12] This is a prototype, by the way, for a wool scarf will be out next year. [00:06:15] Great stuff, great stuff indeed. [00:06:17] I also salute you for placing an order of some good stuff, because the products they hold the highest quality. [00:06:24] I'm very proud to say, so I salute you. [00:06:27] Now a heads up, though. [00:06:28] In christmas time, during the, during the entire december and early january actually, the postal system is completely mugged by the sheer volume of orders. [00:06:39] So if your package it doesn't arrive in time for christmas, there isn't really much I can do. [00:06:44] On my part, I don't send the packages out myself, so I can't sign the books either, and you will get a tracking when, the when the order has been sent out. [00:06:55] So, but yeah, expect some delays, expect some postal chaos, Some logistical chaos. [00:07:00] I've been through this a few times before, so I know that December is quite chaotic indeed. [00:07:05] So, do keep that in mind. [00:07:07] And, of course, I am the customer support on both Utah Name Nutrition and League. [00:07:12] And now, of course, I am the customer support on Lake Gig Gloria and Utoname Nutrition. [00:07:17] I like to interact with the customers myself. [00:07:21] Give me a few days over Christmas. [00:07:23] I might be a bit slower to respond to some emails because I want to, as I said, take it a bit easier. [00:07:28] But yeah, I'll get back to all emails as soon as possible, anyway. [00:07:33] After Christmas, that is so good stuff, good stuff. [00:07:36] I hope you will also have a harmonious and peaceful Christmas. [00:07:39] I hope I will have it. [00:07:41] You never know, but I hope for it at least. [00:07:43] Now, in terms of productivity, I will make, of course, the monthly podcast episode. [00:07:47] It will be about the cult of Mitras, so that will be nice to make. [00:07:51] So, that will be my productivity for the end of the month. [00:07:56] And if you aren't already subscribed to the podcast, do so, check it out. [00:08:00] I go a bit more in depth in my discussions. [00:08:04] So, I pick a topic, elaborate on it, and then I, in the beginning of each episode, I talk a bit about training, biohacking, some updates, some politics, everything like that. [00:08:14] So, do check it out. [00:08:15] Link in the description box below. [00:08:17] Now, thank you for watching, and thank you for your support.
