The Golden One - Marcus Follin - Q&A. Practicing Paganism. Journalism is an Honourable Profession (Yes, Really) Aired: 2022-08-18 Duration: 05:14 === Approaching Paganism Differently (03:05) === [00:00:00] Greetings my esteemed Ladingtons, welcome to the greatest QA. [00:00:05] Now you might wonder why do I not have a shirt on? [00:00:09] And usually it would be so that I could flex and pose and behave in that sort of way, but now in all honesty it's because it's simply too hot to have a shirt on. [00:00:21] So you might think it's so I will flex my physique, but actually not. [00:00:28] Not this time. [00:00:29] Usually it would be exactly for that reason. [00:00:31] I would be without a shirt, but now it's yeah, it's too hot simply. [00:00:37] Now let's get on to the questions at hand. [00:00:40] We have the first one from Visigotorum. [00:00:44] How did you get into paganism? [00:00:46] Which are your ways to practice it? [00:00:48] Cheers. [00:00:50] So basically I got into the more metaphysical side of things only this year. [00:00:56] Now before then I approached paganism in a more you know as a way for me to express a biocultural identity. [00:01:05] So I had a hammer of thor to show this is my allegiance in terms of bioculture and tribe. [00:01:11] Some guys they do it with tattoos which is also you know good it can be a good way to you know show where your tribal allegiances lie. [00:01:23] That is how I approached it before. [00:01:25] Now of course I do approach it in a bit different way where I have as you probably have seen if you follow me on Telegram and if you have read my book reviews I have approached it. [00:01:36] I've begun to approach it in a slightly different manner. [00:01:42] Now that being said what makes you a pagan is technically speaking if you sacrifice. [00:01:48] So if you do sacrifice I have done it this year I've done it earlier years as well and I simply you know pour a libation of mild and you know you can say a little prayer or something like that. [00:02:01] So that is what technically makes you a pagan if you do sacrifice. [00:02:05] If you don't you're not a pagan. [00:02:06] If you do you are a pagan and you don't need to sacrifice mild you can pour a libation of wine or you can offer some incense at your altar. [00:02:15] It can be done in many different ways but that is at least how you practice paganism and of course I'm giving a very brief and general answer here. [00:02:23] There are those who have been practicing pagans for a lot longer than I have and you know who can give you a better answer but that is the starting point and I would also very much recommend you to read as much as possible about how our ancestors approached the divine. [00:02:42] So I wrote a review of Mircia Eliades The Myth of the Eternal Return. [00:02:47] It's a good book. [00:02:48] You can start with that. [00:02:49] Then of course the other books I've reviewed are very insightful especially the books by Stephen E. Flowers as it pertains to Germanic and overall Indo-European spirituality. [00:03:01] So hopefully that was somewhat informative. === Great Contribution (02:07) === [00:03:06] Now second question is regarding journalism and investigative journalism and whether it's a good way to contribute to the cause and I would say yes it absolutely is. [00:03:19] It's a great way to contribute to the cause and this is something we need more of. [00:03:24] And I am quite happy to say that we do have in Sweden a quite well developed alternative media. [00:03:30] Of course since the mainstream media in Sweden has been so left-wing for so long there has been a great demand for actual reporting and now the supply and demand have met as they usually do. [00:03:44] So I would say that journalism is an honorable profession. [00:03:48] And now you might think this is strange since I usually bash journalists. [00:03:52] But I do it because it is an honorable profession. [00:03:56] But many journalists are simply acting as mercenaries for the regime. [00:04:02] So instead of putting the pressure on the politicians, the regime, they are putting the hit on normal people who are just wondering what is going on. [00:04:16] Most journalists, they have taken a very honorable profession and made it into basically mercenary work for the regime. [00:04:24] But that being said, if you are a journalist with integrity, I salute you. [00:04:30] I have great respect for the profession of journalism. [00:04:33] So if you are a good person, then definitely do pursue that career path. [00:04:39] And yeah, it takes a lot of courage to expose many of these corrupt politicians. [00:04:45] So anyway, I had a few more questions, but I will actually save those for a coming podcast because I want to go more in depth regarding those questions. [00:04:54] And lastly, because I am about to perish here in the hit. [00:04:58] So I will try to seek out some sort of lake as soon as possible before perishing. [00:05:04] So anyway, thank you for watching. [00:05:06] As always, do check out all the links in the description box below. [00:05:10] Do read Dauntless and I will see you in the next video.
