[00:00:05]  I'm back from a week under a severe bubonic plague man cold, but yeah, I'm feeling a bit better now and I thought to get back to the video production by getting into good old Warhammer Total War 2 because we have a new DLC which I talked about in a recent forest video log.
[00:00:30]  I talked about Molus Darkblade.
[00:00:32]  If you haven't already checked that out, I encourage you to do it.

[00:00:46]  So you can check it out so you know who Molus Darkblade is, so you get a good feel for the books, etc.
[00:00:54]  So as you can see, we have a new epic background here.
[00:00:58]  Unfortunately, I showed in a recent video log titled Snow at Last, but it started raining the day after, so we do not have snow in Middle Scandinavia now.
[00:01:12]  But we have snow here at least, so it's something I suppose.
[00:01:16]  Anyway, let's get into the campaign.
[00:01:21]  Also, again, thank you to John for gifting this fine DLC to me.
[00:01:27]  Most heartfelt gifts.
[00:01:29]  So first and foremost, you can see here they have a new art for each character.
[00:01:35]  So Turion here is looking much more aesthetic than he did before.
[00:01:40]  Same thing with Alith Anar.
[00:01:44]  So very good job on this.
[00:01:50]  And now who is this mad cunt, you might ask?
[00:01:55]  Son of Haggrif.
[00:01:57]  Molus Darkblade.
[00:01:58]  Here he is, the man himself, the man of the hour.
[00:02:03]  So what do we have here?
[00:02:05]  Yes, starting position, apparently here, down in the Sea of Dread, even though his hometown is up in Nagaroth in Haggriff.
[00:02:16]  But I'm sure we can get there eventually.
[00:02:19]  So initial challenge, hard.
[00:02:23]  Yeah, it's good.
[00:02:25]  An extra challenge.
[00:02:26]  Then I will play on legendary because I've played enough of this to be to want the strategic challenge.
[00:02:34]  But I don't know if I will actually make a series on this or if I will just make a video, an overview of it, having a look at it.
[00:02:43]  So basically a lot of different traits here.
[00:02:48]  He's possessed by the demon Tsarkan.
[00:02:51]  As I mentioned in the book review/slash forest video log.
[00:02:58]  Allied with the Witch King himself.
[00:03:02]  Here is the Witch King Malekith for those of you who are not aware.
[00:03:07]  And yeah, extra income from mines.
[00:03:12]  Always good, I suppose.
[00:03:15]  And then cheaper cold one, Knights and Chariots.
[00:03:21]  Good stuff.
[00:03:22]  Good stuff.
[00:03:23]  So I suppose we'll just get in to it.
[00:03:49]  Still, the demon could not slip his chains.
[00:03:54]  Millennia passed.
[00:03:56]  Then mortal greed found him once more.
[00:04:00]  The drinker of worlds was loose.
[00:04:05]  Yet, in a twist of fate, Sarkan's liberator became only another cage.
[00:04:13]  Raging at their undesired bond, demon and host enact vengeance upon this world.
[00:04:26]  All shudder, save for the Skaven.
[00:04:32]  Deep in their under-empire, noisome warlords plot to seize this hell-sent power.
[00:04:42]  The Eshin Master Assassin must hunt it down, else lose his night lord's capricious favor, a fate every Skavan fears.
[00:04:54]  So Snikchi's poison blades will find their target, whomever it may be.
[00:05:02]  The Witch King knows well where Tarkan lurks, for its host dances to his jewel.
[00:05:10]  Malakith promises the Elixir to subjugate the demon shade if the fabled scrolls of Hakati are first brought to him.
[00:05:21]  Sarkan's possession has cost Malus Darkblade dearly.
[00:05:27]  He cannot refuse.
[00:05:29]  To the rat-infested Southlands, he must go.
[00:05:35]  Rat Deathmaster and Druki Tyrant.
[00:05:40]  Bound for battle, but neither knowing it yet.
[00:05:45]  All the world will quail when Shadow meets Blade.
[00:05:55]  Though Hagrif remains under my control, the Witch King has dispatched me here to gather the scrolls of Hercati.
[00:06:06]  I must quieten my mind and let nothing distract me.
[00:06:12]  Just off these shores, a black ark stands ready to unleash devastation upon my enemies here and across the waters in the Southlands.
[00:06:24]  The jungles and mountains of this place appear to house many sites of arcane power.
[00:06:31]  I shall harness them for my Lord Malakith, and he will grant me what was promised.

=== Dark Ark's Dilemma (13:31) ===

[00:06:41]  Shut up!
[00:06:43]  Demon!
[00:06:44]  Curb your thirst for souls!
[00:06:47]  The Asor are mine to annihilate.
[00:06:50]  The islands will not protect them.
[00:06:54]  My affliction is both a terrible curse and an immeasurable source of power.
[00:07:03]  But soon I will have greater control.
[00:07:07]  I will do what I must to ensure that I return to Nagaroth in triumph.
[00:07:17]  Alright, another epic introduction by a very cool and soothing voice the narrator has.
[00:07:29]  Not this particular Malis, but the guy in the introduction sequences.
[00:07:34]  Always very well done.
[00:07:36]  And so cool artwork as well.
[00:07:38]  There, I think one of those shots will be the thumbnail for this video.
[00:07:44]  And as I said in a recent video on Warhammer, they are bringing back the old world.
[00:07:51]  And this, what we see here, is actually the old world.
[00:07:54]  So, it's highly joyous for all true Warhammer bras.
[00:08:00]  And this particular mission is actually an addition to the story of Molly's Dark Blade, so to speak.
[00:08:07]  So, this isn't part of the books, but I really like that they can use this opportunity with this game to tell another Molly Starkblade story.
[00:08:19]  So, let's look at how they play here.
[00:08:24]  Okay, so we need to take elixirs.
[00:08:41]  That is noted, so yes, of course.
[00:08:56]  The abilities to use against your enemies.
[00:09:02]  Yes, so as I was going to say, the Dark Elves and Hylves are bitter enemies, and their rivalry continues on, even in the colonies.
[00:09:14]  So, up here we have an elixir, and it costs us 600 to, I suppose, regain control of ourselves.
[00:09:24]  So, yes, some different gameplay mechanics there if we let him have too much of the demon inside.
[00:09:37]  So, they'd also made an update to the Black Arcs.
[00:09:45]  So, apparently, this guy can level and stuff, and he can also attack coastal settlements.
[00:09:52]  So, what I will do, I will keep this episode quite short because this is just an overview.
[00:10:01]  And you might ask, why do I not make Let's Plays on Total War?
[00:10:06]  Yes, it's because Total War is more of an acquired taste as opposed to Assassin's Creed, where you can get into the game and you understand the game more at once.
[00:10:23]  So, I want to continue on the Assassin's Creed Unity Let's Play when we are in Paris and running around there.
[00:10:30]  So, I think it's more easily accessible for most subscribers to watch.
[00:10:35]  That's why I want to continue there.
[00:10:37]  And then, as a celebration of hitting 100,000 subscribers, I want to play The Witcher 3, and that's also a very good game to showcase the power of gaming in a good way that you can show European folklore in a very attractive way.
[00:10:59]  So, Malarnur is also a new sort of character, he's a Beastmaster.
[00:11:07]  So, that being said, I will just get into battle here against Amoner.
[00:11:15]  I don't think it will be any problem here at all.
[00:11:21]  Actually, he's going to put him there, and put him in there, and then we charge.
[00:11:35]  Okay, so we don't get any support here, except that we have the Solrein, Skycaldron, and Kain's Lash.
[00:11:46]  But I do believe we should be able to have this anyway.
[00:11:49]  So, let's get into the battle.
[00:11:54]  Right, we're in the battle.
[00:11:55]  And also, I forgot to mention that we do have one last episode on the H Vampires 2 Definitive Edition Vlad campaign.
[00:12:04]  That I will do before doing the Witcher.
[00:12:07]  So, yeah, a lot of gaming as of late, but worry not, I have some regular videos incoming as well.
[00:12:14]  Just that again, I've been sick in the Papunic plague, so I haven't really been able to do any videos.
[00:12:24]  Now, let's concentrate here on winning this battle.
[00:12:29]  So, here we have a new unit, a Medusa that is straight from Greek myth.
[00:12:45]  And hopefully, no, they are not targeting her, they are some Illurian archers.
[00:12:59]  They are standing there, getting absolutely wrecked by our dark shards here.
[00:13:09]  Then, we also do have coal ones and aha, these are not cold one chariots, these are Scourge Runner chariots.
[00:13:20]  We will actually place you over there so we can flank, and then I suppose we'll keep the cold one cavalry there too, so we can get around.
[00:13:33]  The high elves are quite good in close combat and also on well, at range since they have so many missile units.
[00:13:48]  But we'll try to make the most out of this situation.
[00:13:55]  So, here we have Tsarkan Lord ability, but I don't want him to get overly possessed.
[00:14:06]  So, and these madcons, they charged in directly.
[00:14:11]  I'm not sure why, since they're light cavalry and they will get wrecked.
[00:14:17]  And now, hopefully, the blood prize.
[00:14:25]  Okay, so he can do a few different things there.
[00:14:33]  Okay, so here I can't charge in there, unfortunately, and they're absolutely wrecking us.
[00:14:41]  Not good, not good at all, but it is what it is.
[00:14:48]  So, you see, here, I can't charge in because they have pikes or spears.
[00:14:56]  But I need to charge in because otherwise, they will get shot to bits.
[00:15:02]  Right, Laddingtons get back into the action and I will have to disengage with my dark charge so they don't get stuck into close combat.
[00:15:17]  Aha, our Medusa has gotten trapped there.
[00:15:28]  And our cold ones worst unit ever.
[00:15:33]  They charge and they get routed by some Normi Northern Sea God.
[00:15:44]  absolutely blasphemous if anything.
[00:15:54]  And here on the right hand side I have some magic from the Black Ark.
[00:16:11]  So the dilemma I have here is the blood price.
[00:16:16]  I think I will actually do it, even though it might cause Tsarkan to have more influence over me, but it will have to be worth it.
[00:16:30]  Because I need to win this battle.
[00:16:35]  Alright, I utilized a little edit there so we can get closer to the conclusion of the battle.
[00:16:42]  And we're out on thin ice.
[00:16:45]  So I have to pay the blood price again so we can kill Amon here.
[00:16:50]  It is the only course of action.
[00:16:55]  The only reasonable course of action, I mean, of course.
[00:16:57]  Then we can actually invoke Tsarkan.
[00:17:01]  And then health and fatigue are restored.
[00:17:05]  So that is one option we do have.
[00:17:10]  We could do it if I feel the need for it.
[00:17:18]  But it is looking quite good anyway.
[00:17:22]  Okay, victory.
[00:17:23]  Good.
[00:17:24]  It was a tight one.
[00:17:26]  I was a bit unsure I would actually do it, but the superior skill of Mollus Darkman here gave us the victory.
[00:17:36]  So yeah.
[00:17:38]  There we are.
[00:17:39]  Pyrrhic victory.
[00:17:40]  Boom.
[00:17:42]  And we will, of course, occupy it.
[00:17:45]  We could loot and occupy.
[00:17:47]  That would be what Maulus would have done, but I don't want to damage any buildings.
[00:17:54]  So we gained a banner there as well, which we use.
[00:18:00]  Okay, hostile takeover.
[00:18:03]  The wealthiest dreadlord of Hagrip sent you a large sum to bribe you into giving up on your Drakau position.
[00:18:12]  The money would certainly be useful and boost your treasury considerably as it is currently almost empty.
[00:18:20]  Once the mission for Malakith is complete, taking back what is yours should not pose much of a problem.
[00:18:26]  However, the mines of Hag Griff could keep the expedition running for some time yet.
[00:18:33]  Okay, so we're being presented with a dilemma here.
[00:18:37]  So give up on Hagriff and focus on the expedition.
[00:18:43]  Also 50 in growth for 5 turns and 20,000 plus in treasury.
[00:18:50]  That's quite a bit.
[00:18:52]  Or we could exile this filth.
[00:18:56]  Everything under control.
[00:19:00]  Okay.
[00:19:03]  This is a hard question indeed, but I do believe we will take the money and then come back and kill the usurper once we get back to Nagaroth.
[00:19:15]  So boom.
[00:19:16]  Take the money.
[00:19:21]  Okay, so this bar shows how much influence Tsarkan has over Mollus.
[00:19:27]  Some good.
[00:19:31]  Okay, we must drink elixirs to keep the demon at bay.
[00:19:37]  Aha, and Sarkan can give us some missions there as well.
[00:19:42]  So it seems that they have uh making you unmatched on the battlefield.
[00:19:50]  However, your commanders and warriors are more distrustful of you, resulting in reduced loyalty and troop replenishment.
[00:20:00]  By taking the elixir, you can reduce possession and increase your control.
[00:20:08]  Right, so we can take an elixir there.

=== Far Definitely Good (01:05) ===

[00:20:12]  And yes, I was just going to say, finishing up this episode, that they have made a very good job of it as far as I can see, with a lot of new gameplay mechanics and really put in effort into the story.
[00:20:28]  So just by playing this far I can definitely say it's a good addition.
[00:20:42]  They're having some back and forth bants there, as they have in the book I might add.
[00:20:48]  Good times, good times.
[00:20:49]  So anyway, I will just leave it at that and call it a day.
