The Golden One - Marcus Follin - Dracula Part 2 - The Return of the Dragon. Age of Empires 2 Definitive Edition Aired: 2019-11-24 Duration: 24:56 === Continue Great Adventure (02:53) === [00:00:00] Post Vlad Dracula. [00:00:03] Welcome back to Good Old Age of Empires 2. [00:00:08] We will continue on the great adventure of a true hero of Mother Europe. [00:00:14] So we're gonna get straight into it in episode 2, Return of the Dragon. [00:00:20] Boom. [00:00:51] As he paced the streets of the Moldavian capital, Brahula mused over his plan to reclaim his kingdom. [00:01:01] As the mysterious old man paused, I rose up to take another slab of venison. [00:01:09] The old man stared into the fire, watching the flames dance as if they were soldiers involved in a raging battle. [00:01:19] His eyes flashed again as a thought entered his mind, and he grasped the majestic old soul. [00:01:28] Meanwhile, Sultan Mehmet II had ascended to the Ottoman throne. [00:01:35] Drakula loathed Mehmed from that time in Ederne, and he knew that the Turks would be a thorn in his side for years to come. [00:01:45] In 1453, they had conquered Constantinople, but they were presently occupied with campaigns in Greece and Serbia. [00:01:54] Bogdan II, Drafula's cousin and the new voevod of Moldavia, had heard of his kinsman's plight and offered his help. [00:02:05] If Drakula could cross the Carpathian mountains into Transylvania and ally with Hungary, then they could launch a three-pronged assault on Vladislav II and the Turks. [00:02:24] Alright, so another epic introduction. [00:02:28] And when I say Order of the Dragon, that is exactly the sort of mythic mindset we need to have going forward. [00:02:38] It makes everything so much more epic. [00:02:41] So anyway, we have Vladrakula must survive. [00:02:44] Makes sense. [00:02:45] And then we have hints. [00:02:46] I'll just read through this. [00:02:50] Okay, so his new technology tree is now Magiar. === The Only Way Forward (07:04) === [00:02:54] See? [00:02:55] You can have a friendship between Hungarians and Romanians. [00:02:58] It's the only way forward. [00:03:01] Bran Castle, legendary. [00:03:05] And again, Hungary will offer an alliance if you can show your strength by reaching the Imperial Age. [00:03:11] Alright, so I utilized a little edit there. [00:03:14] And just look at the graphics here. [00:03:17] Absolutely Wonderful desire from humble Mondavia. [00:03:24] What do I desire? [00:03:28] This is a birthright. [00:03:33] This is Bolkbra. [00:03:34] He's bloatmaxing now. [00:03:36] Bogdan. [00:03:38] Alright, let's to the northwest in the Transylvania forest lies the Bronze Castle, a stronghold of the Order of the Dragon. [00:03:47] You will find supporters there. [00:03:52] The Order of the Dragon. [00:03:53] That has to be a title for a chrome for a coming training video or a Vilehunt challenge or something like that. [00:04:03] Too cool of a name to not use for anything productive. [00:04:08] Okay, let us out then. [00:04:15] Now, let me tell you about my glorious weekend in the service of the nation. [00:04:24] So, first, Uppsala met some good lads, had a great training session. [00:04:31] Shout out to all who were there. [00:04:33] It was absolutely joyous. [00:04:36] Then, the next day, I went to the opposite side of Sweden to Jatobori, Gothenburg, met some good men, some good men from America and Switzerland as well. [00:04:49] Shout out to you, it was a joyous session and day. [00:04:53] Then, after oh damn, that's a uh that is a brutal watchtower. [00:05:03] Um anyway, then I went to El Garos, it's called a small little place in between Jatobori and Stockholm, and I held a self-defense seminar. [00:05:18] It was quite fun because it was not my usual demographics, it was more females and it was more older individuals. [00:05:34] So, yeah, that was a new teaching experience, and when you teach, you learn yourself as well. [00:05:43] Okay, let's try to box with this Vladislavians. [00:05:54] See what I'm doing now? [00:05:56] I'm micromanaging so that they're chasing Vlad and my knights can hit the spearmen. [00:06:02] So, anyway, that was my weekend. [00:06:05] It oh getting mugged by these archers, but cavalry strong against archers. [00:06:13] So, yes, that was my weekend in short terms. [00:06:17] I did film some of the training, which will up for a Fusique Manufacturum training video log. [00:06:30] So, yeah, links in the description for that. [00:06:33] Some well, mainly tie boxing videos, some bag work and some pad work. [00:06:40] Good times. [00:06:41] Then, of course, I posted a short version on my Instagram as well if you haven't already seen that. [00:06:49] Now, also on a nesty force blocks the mountain pass. [00:06:57] Hmm, all right. [00:06:59] If you were to slay the Dineshti general in command of the forward camp, it may draw the attention of the army and lure them away. [00:07:11] Right, let's do it. [00:07:13] Um... [00:07:15] I think I have mismanaged this start a little bit, but um oh Denesti general. [00:07:26] Okay, I will try to manage this anyway. [00:07:38] Go on, die. [00:07:46] Ah, no, No, I um. [00:07:55] Ah, come on then Vlad. [00:07:57] No, that was one misclick, one misclick. [00:08:03] I um. [00:08:05] If I die now, I will have to restart everything and restart the usurper to his grave. [00:08:21] Okay, a bit of chaos there. [00:08:23] Uh, where did Vlad go? [00:08:25] Even I hope he did he die. [00:08:33] Maybe. [00:08:33] That would have been extremely silly if this episode was off to such a bad start. [00:08:46] Yes, I do think Vlad has died, but we can just pretend that he is wounded or something like that and we'll continue on. [00:08:56] So yes, I was playing the historic battles and I played the conquest of Cyprus by Richard The Lionheart, and this was one of the well, when you win the scenario. [00:09:15] This came up and I was very happy to see that you had some uncocked view of him. [00:09:32] Usually you would have something of the sort like oh he's, he was such a brutal. [00:09:39] So I was pleasantly surprised by the way they described it, described him as a legend, instead of having the need to portray him as some brutal king who only cared about glory, who only cared about glory. [00:09:55] So that was refreshing to see. === Utilizing Edits Strategically (14:28) === [00:09:58] I tip my pickle hub again to H V Empires, so I suppose I will utilize a few edits in this video because it looks like it might be a a long campaign, but I will check in in a little bit. [00:10:22] Okay, so Bran Castle recruits paladins for us, highly epic, and again it looks so great and it captures the feel of mountainous region here. [00:10:40] Now I suppose I will have to mine, and then we'll have to hit the Imperial Age, so the Hungarians will admire our strength, so they can be our allies. [00:11:02] So basically, what I have now, since I have so much cavalry, I have to look out for their spearmen, of course, and being more mobile than the enemy makes it easier to avoid the spearmen. [00:11:22] so that is that's good now I found a mining camp nearer to the town center so we can chop some not chop a mine I mean of course So anyway, what did I train today, you ask? [00:11:43] I trained after a hectic weekend, as I said, of a lot, a lot of driving. [00:11:50] I was quite wrecked from just driving so much. [00:11:58] I trained some push press and some light bench press. [00:12:02] So that was my training session. [00:12:05] And I have seen this Moldavians. [00:12:08] A little nice outpost here. [00:12:12] Unfortunately, they're being attacked. [00:12:14] Maybe I can aid them with my knight here if I can sink the ship. [00:12:22] Okay, I will probably die there, so I sacrificed him for a good cause. [00:12:30] So what we can do now also is actually first and foremost we need some wood. [00:12:40] Otherwise our farms will expire. [00:12:45] So just continuing to gather resources, gonna create some more knights. [00:12:50] We had three more paladins incoming and then I will just gather enough stone so we can build a castle here so that we are safe and then we can upgrade to the Imperial Age. [00:13:03] And again, if I wasn't clear with what I meant with the Richard the Lionheart thing is I found it so refreshing that they could just state this man was a legend and point to the positive things without having to talk about the fact that oh this guy didn't spend so much time in England so he was a bad king. [00:13:25] It's nice when people can just be positive. [00:13:29] Point out the good things instead of having to nuance it all too much. [00:13:34] Of course nuance is good sometimes but sometimes it can also be nice to give it a rest. [00:13:41] Right, so I just noticed that we can't actually build a castle but we need to build something fun at least to upgrade. [00:13:50] So I suppose we'll have to build a monastery and aha right. [00:14:03] Yeah, so a university, I suppose, we can build, too. [00:14:07] The order of the dragon is decadent and feeble. [00:14:11] My cover, trample you in. [00:14:16] Decadent and feeble. [00:14:17] Well... [00:14:17] Well we will see about that dear Vladislav. [00:14:21] I challenge you to come to box with these high Thumus lads. [00:14:32] We can build a monk as well to heal our gallant soldiers. [00:14:39] Just gonna wait for this to be built then we can upgrade and initiate an alliance with Hungary. [00:14:49] Boom. [00:14:49] There we are. [00:14:58] Alright. [00:15:05] That sounds good, dear old Hungary. [00:15:09] Let's do it. [00:15:10] It's the only reasonable course of action. [00:15:13] And as you can see, we couldn't build a castle, but I have built a lot of watchtowers instead. [00:15:19] And now I will also upgrade our cavalry to cavalier. [00:15:24] So we have paladins and cavaliers. [00:15:27] And we need to pay Hungary a thousand in food. [00:15:33] Then we can upgrade this, which reduces the fill for tributes to 20%. [00:15:39] Boom, let's do it. [00:15:43] Alright, we have gathered enough food, so we will pay it to Hungary. [00:15:50] Boom. [00:15:52] There we go. [00:15:52] Confirm. [00:15:53] Excellent! [00:15:54] We fight with you! [00:15:59] Very good indeed. [00:16:00] They didn't have all too much of an army, though. [00:16:04] But I suppose it is all good, anyway. [00:16:12] Now we can't build trebuchets anywhere, which is of course blasphemous, but it is what it is. [00:16:21] I will ride out with the Order of the Dragon and see if we can kill some enemies. [00:16:41] Vladislav, you are a traitor. [00:16:43] Now we'll hunt you down. [00:16:49] Can perhaps raid this little village. [00:16:53] It looks quite cozy though, so I'm not all too comfortable with actually destroying it. [00:16:59] But there is a relic. [00:17:02] Maybe we can take it with one of our monks. [00:17:09] Aha, you can actually fight for this village. [00:17:11] That's nice. [00:17:14] Cool stuff. [00:17:17] Now, let's see. [00:17:18] Down here, I suppose, is where Vladislav is hold up. [00:17:30] We can't create a castle, build a castle, but perhaps we can build some sort of other fun thing, such as a sig workshop or something similar. [00:17:44] There comes a trebuchet. [00:17:46] Speaking of which, I will see if I can hunt it down. [00:18:05] Stumble upon a little fleet there. [00:18:08] Need to run away. [00:18:11] Can capture this little place, I suppose. [00:18:17] Aha, we can't build any military buildings at all. [00:18:23] That's problematic. [00:18:26] I suppose. [00:18:26] Perhaps we can build some sort of town center here. [00:18:29] Somewhere? [00:18:30] No, can't really do that. [00:18:32] We can build a watchtower. [00:18:35] Now, where were we here? [00:18:38] Hello, battering rams. [00:18:42] Elit Boyar, they're quite cool. [00:18:48] Cool aesthetics on those. [00:18:50] have to defeat this tower. [00:18:59] Right, we have raised this little base to the ground. [00:19:04] Had to do it to them. [00:19:05] Was the only reasonable course of action. [00:19:09] And there was a little bug, I suppose. [00:19:12] It came up onto land. [00:19:16] Aha, they're signing our Moldovan friends here. [00:19:22] if we can figure out some way to deal with that he likes to trash talk this guy Which I kinda like. [00:19:46] It adds a bit of spice to the story, I suppose. [00:19:55] Aha! [00:19:56] They ran out of gold, so I need to build a new mine there. [00:20:01] So if we could just get some more villagers down here. [00:20:05] There we go. [00:20:06] So I can build these towers. [00:20:09] So we can deal with this flilt. [00:20:20] Aha! [00:20:20] We have finally found a castle. [00:20:24] Nice. [00:20:26] Recurve bow. [00:20:28] Cavalry archers have one plus in range and one plus in damage, but I want to build some Chebuchet. [00:20:36] Alright, I have assembled mighty force that I will lesie to the castle here. [00:20:43] So we'll see how that goes. [00:20:45] And, yeah, this little sea battle goes, well, somewhat according to plan, at least. [00:21:00] Hello, lads. [00:21:04] Now we just have to defend this trebuchet at all costs. [00:21:19] Right, here we are. [00:21:24] So as you might have noticed, I've utilized a few edits this episode, but now since we're nearing the end of the episode, I suppose I will be talkative. [00:21:39] Now we just have to make sure that our Chebuches do not get wrecked here as we lay siege to Vladislav, the trash talkers. [00:21:55] Stronghold. [00:21:57] So anyway, on another note, on a note of making videos, I do have quite a few interesting, well I hope at least, videos incoming. [00:22:09] going to talk about game changers. [00:22:12] It's a vegan... [00:22:14] Well, you could perhaps say propaganda piece. [00:22:17] They're talking about vegan athletes. [00:22:19] But anyway, I will talk more about that. [00:22:22] Then I will talk about mewing and mouthbreeding. [00:22:27] Because they are interlinked. [00:22:32] And then some more training videos. [00:22:34] So yeah, I have a good few videos incoming. [00:22:39] Now, Vladislav, you will regret your foul words. [00:22:44] See if he's in here. [00:22:50] No. [00:22:51] Hmm. [00:22:53] Strange. [00:22:54] Maybe he has fled into the town center. [00:22:58] Or perhaps even to this little outpost. [00:23:02] Hmm, who knows? [00:23:05] So I was about to utilize an edit, then get back to it, but he died in the midst of the chaos. [00:23:11] Let's leave the map and look at the scene. [00:23:16] The elderly man gave a thin smile. [00:23:20] The nascity of mind can compensate for other disadvantages. [00:23:26] As Drachula slaughtered untold numbers of enemy troops, the large circle of impaled men outside Dargavista grew to awe and disgust families from a mixed... [00:23:43] Drachula owned Valachia once more, but it was not the land he's forbearsled. [00:23:51] Barred from endless wars, it was rife with corruption, crime, and poverty. [00:23:58] Aghast, I asked my host how Drakula managed to reform a ruined shell of a country so quickly. [00:24:09] The light flashed across the old man's eye again. [00:24:13] Drakula despised dishonesty and crime and sought to eliminate it. [00:24:19] He knew that Valeria had to become strong enough to face its enemies and soon. === Reforms Begin Heroically (00:30) === [00:24:26] And so, his reforms began a heroic man, no doubt. [00:24:37] So, yes, that will have to be the episode. [00:24:43] And in next, we'll go to the breath of the dragon. [00:24:47] And yeah, I utilized quite a few edits, but I hope the episode was good enough anyway. [00:24:53] So, thank you for watching and stay tuned for coming videos.
