Today, I am checking in with a video log, and I thought to briefly elaborate on something I said in a Let's Play a few days back.
And first and foremost, when I make a Let's Play, it is much easier for me to do than to do one of my regular videos where I talk about some relevant topic because then I have quite a bit of pressure on me to perform or rather to present my views, my opinions in a good way.
Whereas, if I do a Let's Play, for example, or even a video log such as this, the pressure is lessened, so it's easier for me to make, it's more natural for me to make, and that is the reason why sometimes you see four Let's Plays in a row without any more solid video.
It's because I can share some insights even when playing a game such as Assassin's Cridge, such as Assassin's Crid, instead, rather than a normal video.
So, that is the reason.
And I also do try to make the Let's Plays as informative and insightful as possible.
So, it's not just me playing a game, it's also me trying to share some thoughts.
And since I don't have a podcast of my own, I do try to use that time to talk about things that I just want to mention briefly without having to make a separate video on it.
So, that is the reason I do like making Let's Plays, in addition to, of course, gaming a bit always nice.
So, as you've seen, I've done some Assassin's Creed videos as of late.
Love those games, they are a bit cucked in certain ways, but the sheer aesthetics and beauty of them makes it up for it.
So, anyway, in regards to the Templars, what should the French King Philip have done?
Either two things: either he should have sent them somewhere into the Mediterranean, such as the case was with the hospitallers.
They got Malta, successfully defended it against the Ottomans in the Great Siege of Malta, an inspiring episode.
I might make a separate video on that at some stage.
But basically, the Hospitaller Order also originated in the Holy Land, Autremer, as a crusader order.
They managed to survive longer than Templars and ended up in Malta.
And as I said, successfully defended it against the Ottomans.
So, for the Templars, I think everyone can agree that it wasn't an option to have them still in Europe without a state.
You can't have powerful entities within countries.
Everyone needs their own country, regardless of religion.
This includes the most heroic of Templars as well.
They needed a country of their own because if they were to stay in France, they would have become a problem for the French king because he wants the ultimate power in his kingdom.
Perfectly understandable.
So he could either have done what he did-basically kill them off or defeat them.
Then what happened to them?
Some speculate that they fled to Scotland.
I don't know.
But it was either that or he could have sent them with the Pope's permission to some place in the Mediterranean to take up the fight against the Ottomans.
So, thank you for watching this little video log.
I might be adding some additional scenes to this because I need to train my video log game.
If not, then I thank you for watching.
One last
sequence to end this video log, and this is actually the place you have seen this before.
Because when I made the Quest for Atlantis video, I was here with my good friend William, and we took some underwater shots, etc., from this place.
So, it's actually a former quarry that is now filled up with water.
And we were driving along and just stumbled upon this place.
So, I just thought to add it into the sequence, and you can hear all the ghee there excited in the background to be in my video.
They want to show off there.
So, yeah, if you express some admiration for the ghee in the comment section, I'm sure they will be absolutely delighted.
And I will tell them the next time I'm here, if they're here, that you all are admiring their greatness.
So, yeah, anyway, rocking the Exploration Hoodie, of course, always perfect water garment.
