[00:00:12] I am yet again checking in from the Forest of Enlightenment, and today I thought to respond to a question that came up. [00:00:19] Last time I talked about fasting and intermittent fasting, and since it's autumn, Helios has blessed Sweden with some good old summer here in late August. [00:00:30] So, shout out to you, Helios, my man. [00:00:34] But anyway, autumn is incoming, and a lot of guys will start bulking. [00:00:40] So, I thought to bestow some bulking wisdom upon you all. [00:00:44] Now, first and foremost, should you do intermittent fasting when you are bulking? [00:00:49] If you are a bit skinnier, if you're a bit younger, you want to bulk up, put on some size, then no, I would not recommend doing intermittent fasting because you want to space out your meals so that you can eat more. [00:01:02] The traditional bodybuilding style of eating, like six meals a day or so, it's a bit unnecessary in my view. [00:01:09] And also, some wisdom when it comes to listening to pro-bodybuilders, they are taking vast amounts of steroids. [00:01:16] So, if you listen to their advice and do like they do, sure, you can do it if you take the same sort of dark side supplements, so to speak. [00:01:26] But I recommend that you do not. [00:01:29] But, anyway, that being said, I do recommend that you eat breakfast if you are a so-called hard gainer or if you're bulking, etc. [00:01:37] Because you do at the end of the day want to hit a certain amount of calories. [00:01:42] For certain guys, it is hard to get to that level, so you're not doing yourself any favors by eating less, simply put. [00:01:51] And of course, in the reversal, if you're trying to lose weight, it's absolutely unnecessary to eat breakfast in my view because most people aren't hungry in the morning anyway. [00:02:02] So, yeah, intermittent fasting, it's not something I would recommend if you are training to get more massive, or if you are at perhaps an elite level and you train several times a day. [00:02:16] And if you train in the morning, it might be good to load up with some extra carbohydrates. [00:02:20] And again, as I've said before, the more you train, the more carbohydrates you should have in your diet. [00:02:26] The less you train, the less carbohydrates in your diet. [00:02:29] So, anyway, I still would though recommend that if you're a bulk bra, if you have been bulking for half a year or something, it can be a good idea for you to do a 24-hour fast for your mind. [00:02:43] So, not so much for your body, but for your mind, which in turn, as I always say, is connected to the body. [00:02:48] So, mind and body are one. [00:02:50] But anyway, you can do it every once in a while, and then it can be good for you to get your appetite up again. [00:02:56] Because if you have been bulking for half a year, chances are quite high that you don't really want to eat so much. [00:03:04] So, it can be a good idea. [00:03:06] So, basically, to conclude, for bulk bras, not intermittent fasting, but if you are bulking, you can do a 24-hour fast to reap the health benefits for the mind, so to speak.
