Time Text
Greetings, Laddington Strei.
I want to talk a bit about carbohydrates and fat.
And this is actually a somewhat controversial topic.
A while back I made a video where CrossFit started bashing Facebook for being utopian socialists.
It was a fun and quite random thing to read.
But they also brought up the fact that Facebook had deleted a very popular page where people shared their experiences with a high-fat diet.
So that might be something to keep in mind when we discuss this whole topic of carbohydrates versus fats.
So Facebook, apparently for whatever reason, maybe they got pressured from some grain companies or I don't know.
But they did delete a large group with a million or so followers or members.
So that was only something to throw out there before I begin to talk about my perspective upon it.
If you want a bit more political angle to this nutritional topic.
Now, as you might have noticed, the comment section is open and that is because as usual when there is a topic that is worth discussing, it's something important such as diet.
It's an excruciatingly important topic in my humble opinion.
I will start talking more about it because after all, what you eat on a daily basis is very important for your mental and physical well-being.
And if you fuel your body with good stuff, you will produce good thoughts.
Simple as that.
And if you eat bad, you will think bad and produce evil thoughts.
And there is a lot of evil people in this day and age.
And I am absolutely certain it has something to do with the water and the food.
Everything we take into our bodies.
And then, of course, obviously things such as drugs, etc.
Now, on to the topic of carbs and fat.
My perspective is this.
I want to be as strong as possible.
I want to be able to sink a battleship with this fist and this fist.
And the same thing goes for my legs.
I want to look as aesthetically pleasing as possible.
I want people to just stare at me, admire me, and see how epic I look.
I want to be able to formulate the best possible thoughts in my mind.
I want to be able to write as well as possible.
And I want to be as clear as possible in my everyday life, how I plan things.
So that is how I view, that is how I approach this topic.
I want to be a demigod, basically.
I want to be a demigod.
There is no sense in denying this fact.
I'm being honest about this.
And then I have to approach nutrition in such a way, how can I best facilitate all of these goals I just said to you.
And what we have to keep in mind is that carbohydrates is a supplement.
It's a sports supplement you use for athletic performance.
So I will hit the gym later.
Therefore, I have loaded up with a meal of carbohydrates.
And I made a Gaines Kitchen video showing you roughly how that meal can look.
You can just watch through my Gaines Kitchen series here on YouTube and I will make more Gainst Kitchen videos because as I said I think it's a very important topic nutrition.
So I view carbohydrates in that sense.
I don't view it as food per se, but I view it as a supplement I use to fuel my performance.
So if I want to say that I want to be as strong as possible, I want to be able to bench press a mountain, I need carbohydrates to fuel up my muscle.
So if we look upon my physique, carbohydrates is my way to fuel my body so I can push through sessions.
So if someone asks me how to break these stalls in the push press or in the squats or in the bench press or what have you, I say try to increase your intake of carbohydrates for a while.
Same thing if I want to partake in some sort of more cardio intense endeavor, then I also load up with carbohydrates because it's good fuel for athletic performance.
So in my humble opinion, I view carbohydrates as a means to fuel your performance.
It can also of course be cultural.
You have most pleasant things here in life are made out of carbohydrates.
So if you want to have a nice meal there will be elements of bread or yeah what have you.
Most meals contain carbohydrates and that's completely fine.
But keep in mind that it's either for nice eating or it is for sports performance.
Now if we're talking about fat, a high fat diet, if I don't train as much I eat more fat.
If I wouldn't go to the gym, if I wouldn't train MMA, I would probably eat a lot more fat and a lot less carbohydrates.
Because if I don't train, if I'm just out to optimize my cognitive abilities, then I focus on fats.
And if I don't need to fuel a performance in the gym, I don't really need carbohydrates either.
So that is my take there.
Fats are to ensure a good hormonal production and to ensure a good cognitive ability.
If you go too low on fat, you will not make your body or your brain any sort of favors.
So with that being said, I don't endorse any low fat versions and I don't endorse overconsumption of sugar.
I will make a separate video on sugar later on.
Now this was just a shorter video, sort of an introductory video to coming videos I will make later on.
So if I make Gaines Kitchen videos and I talk about low carb meal or high fat meal etc, you know the reasoning behind it.
So for example if I'm having a day where I don't train at all I try to eat more fat.
So eggs with bacon, lots of butter, meat and butter, that sort of stuff.
And cream.
So just heavy on fat and low on carbohydrates.
On the contrary if I need to perform in the Temple of Iron for some bench press for example, then I need to load up with carbohydrates.
So that's the short answer.
That's the short take on my views on carbohydrates or not.
And yeah as I said I will make more nutrition videos in the coming time.
And if you watched this far I salute you and I encourage you to follow me on Telegram.
