And before I begin to get to the main point of the video, I would just like to throw it out there that I don't have anything against buying things.
I don't have anything against buying things on sale and I don't have anything against liking things.
So here is my GoPro.
I like this very much indeed.
I can make epic videos with it.
And yeah, you've seen some of the epic videos I have used, the GoPro 2.
So I'm nothing against that sort of thing.
But what I do have something against is the fact that Black Friday has cucked in a way a lot of other traditions.
So if we look upon the modern world, and I will make a separate video on revolt against the modern world at a later stage, but to just briefly summarize, the modern world has taken away a lot of things from us, such as spirituality, community, and tradition.
And instead, what we see we have traditions and holy days that are celebrating the religion of modernity, aka consumerism.
So we have that instead of genuine, authentic spiritual beliefs.
And obviously, this is just the way it is.
I don't claim to live a good spiritual life either.
I do try.
Shout out to Johan Okandesch for the Glorious Blute the other month.
So I do try to participate in spiritual activities when the opportunity presents itself, but yet again, none of us are living in that traditional in terms of upholding rituals, etc., that our forefathers did.
And that's just the way it is.
What we can do, obviously, to combat this, and this is much easier said than done, is to commence spiritual rituals.
So become pagan without making it too LARPy.
Or if you live in a deeply Catholic country, you can become more Catholic.
I don't endorse anyone else to become a Catholic though, because it's quite far from many of us in terms of spirituality.
But that's another topic, and I won't get into that now.
I'm sure the comment section will take care of the discussion regarding Christianity or paganism.
But the point being is that Black Friday or Black Week even has taken the place of more genuine spiritual expressions.
And that is obviously something that is a bit problematic to say the least.
So yeah, yet again, what can we do to combat this?
Find another spirituality that isn't based upon consumerism, that is based upon blood, for example, or tradition or heritage or something of the sort, or even violence or strength or something like that.
I will talk about more of these things in coming videos.
That's definitely something that is needed, a spiritual awakening in the world and in the West in particular.
But yeah, point being that Black Friday, you can view it as a holy day, as a ritual of the modern world, where you celebrate Mammon, where you celebrate consumerism.
So my problem really is not that you buy things on sale.
My problem is that that has taken the role of a spiritual ceremony.
That should have been done in a different way.
So perhaps not the most profound of thoughts, but I just wanted to throw it out there since it's Black Friday today.
So anyway, I hope you have a joyous weekend ahead.
