Time Text
Greetings and salutations everyone, we have some joyous news from New Zealand who in their infinite wisdom has decided to during the next year ban the single-use plastic bag and I must obviously congratulate them for this righteous decision.
In my humble view the plastic bag is a perfect example of how human convenience comes before the environment but no longer in the case of New Zealand at least.
Now obviously this is just one thing there are many more steps to be taken to find a solution to the pollution, the plastic pollution of the world oceans.
But I celebrate and I endorse any and all initiatives, all steps to reduce the plastic pollution.
Now obviously New Zealand isn't the primary culprit when it comes to the destruction of the environment and especially the pollution of the seas.
The rivers that are most responsible for this are located mainly in China.
So you can think about that the next time you buy Chinese products.
But with that said New Zealand can set a good example for other nations to follow and also this isn't really a large sacrifice for any humans to make to not have access to a plastic bag every time you go shopping.
You might as well take a cotton bag with you which you have all the time when you shop.
It's quite convenient.
I've done so myself over this last year.
And also if you wonder about the turtle on the picture you're seeing before you, it's because this sort of marine animals I'm sure they're very happy about this decision because plastic pollution it takes its toll on a lot of animals and especially such a thing as plastic bags it can actually suffocate certain animals such as turtles.
So I am absolutely certain that this fine turtle he or she is very happy about this decision.
So anyway I just wanted to share this good news and I hope more countries are following suit and yet again this is not the end solution but this is one step in the right direction and all of those must be celebrated.
So with that said I hope you have a lovely weekend ahead.
