The Golden One - Marcus Follin - Ulthuan Rising Part 1. Total War: WARHAMMER 2 Aired: 2017-10-12 Duration: 25:44 === Absolutely Epic Character (05:06) === [00:00:02] Greetings, valiant men, and welcome to Lustria. [00:00:37] There is one Hight-Storsterun sick cunt right there. [00:00:42] And obviously, glorious Prince Teklis of Ulthuan. [00:00:57] I want to aim a massive shout out and a massive thank you to Scion OF THE Emperor for gifting me this game so that I could make let's plays of it, highly appreciated indeed. [00:01:15] So this is dedicated to you, bro. [00:01:53] there is an extremely rare Pepe Frog who has transcended mortality epic, absolutely epic. [00:02:11] Now I have talked a lot about Warhammer 40k, about the Horus Heresy, but I have actually been a Warmer Fantasy bra for a lot longer than I have been a science fiction bra. [00:02:24] So this is familiar territory, and not the game itself because yeah, I just installed it basically, but it is familiar because I read a good amount of books from the Black Library that is set in warmer, fancy setting. [00:02:41] So we're gonna go into campaigns. [00:02:44] New campaign, heir of an Arian, Tyrion heir of an Arian absolutely awesome. [00:02:55] Yeah, we're gonna look through the different lords. [00:03:02] This is also a epic character and this is obviously the rare Pepe Frog, Heightestostron alpha male, also high testosterone alpha male. [00:03:19] Now, in my humble view at least, Malakith is the true heir of Ultuan and obviously high energy, and this is his modern, who is a bit degenerate, to be quite honest with everyone. [00:03:39] But, yeah, I suppose she is beautiful and powerful and all that. [00:03:49] And obviously also a high testosterone guy. [00:03:54] And this is a flag level sickening individual in its actual sense. [00:04:02] But anyway. [00:04:05] We're gonna start off with this absolutely epic character. [00:04:12] Gonna go with very hard, as is my custom when I make this let's place. [00:04:17] So we're gonna get straight into it and then I will elaborate more about my um to which extent I am a Warhammer, bro. [00:04:29] Alright, I will start a campaign and then I will let you enjoy the intro without my voice. [00:04:47] An enigma to men and dwarfs who know them as high elves at the center of the Great Ocean lies Althwal, a paradise created by the old ones. === Stellar Gates Collapsed (14:23) === [00:05:08] But when the stellar gates collapsed, demons flooded the mortal plain. [00:05:16] All was lost until Anarion the Defender strode forth. [00:05:24] The first Phoenix king vanquished the demons with the aid of the Archmage Calidor Dragon Tamer. [00:05:34] It was Calidor and his elven mages who created the Great Vortex. [00:05:44] A swirling maelstrom that siphoned the excess magic, withering demon- With the world purged of chaos, the elves took it upon themselves to become guardians and stewards. [00:06:09] The twin-tailed comet is oft seen as an omen, but this time, its wake brought great peril. [00:06:24] The dragon with two tails flies lower than before. [00:06:27] Its trail disturbs the vortex. [00:06:31] I have felt a change in the winds of magic. [00:06:33] Then write it, brother. [00:06:35] Lead the mages of Saffiri. [00:06:37] Bring all in the White Tower to bear if you must. [00:06:41] Such lore is currently beyond us. [00:06:43] I suggest a scrying ritual in the pool of Isha. [00:06:47] It may provide us with the answer. [00:06:49] Such a ritual requires fragments of fallen waystones. [00:06:52] Far more than we have. [00:06:54] Then we find more. [00:06:56] Make ready your ritual, Lawmaster Talarion. [00:06:59] You will have your fragments. [00:07:02] I shall start the search in Lustria. [00:07:04] Lustria. [00:07:05] My brother will search here in Althwan. [00:07:08] Why do you care so much about the greater world? [00:07:11] Why do you not stay here, brother? [00:07:14] Protect Althwan. [00:07:16] But I venture beyond our borders. [00:07:20] You medal in far-flung continents. [00:07:23] I will ensure you have a home to return to That was intense I got a good amount of shivers watching that. [00:07:45] Absolutely love the aesthetics. [00:07:47] If you're watching that picture right there, Foa Myrin is all I really have to say about that. [00:08:19] The feet of the Phoenix King must not fall. [00:08:22] Finnobar has entrusted me to lead the counterattack. [00:08:26] Join my cause, brave Asur, and together we shall overcome. [00:08:33] The Druki cannot be allowed to despoil the sanctity of Alfwan. [00:08:38] Draw your weapons, and by Assurion's will shall we prevail! [00:08:47] The time has come to bring the word of enlightenment to these heretics. [00:08:55] Now, yes, I have played a bit of Waramash of War in the old world before, but first campaign here. [00:09:09] So bear with me if I make silly mistakes. [00:09:13] But spies within the occupied cities suggest that the Druki are on the hunt for ancient scrolls of power. [00:09:21] I am no sorcerer, but this is ill news. [00:09:25] They must surely be stopped. [00:09:28] Thou art correct. [00:09:29] We must immediately do so. [00:09:34] Alright. [00:09:35] Enhanced perfection. [00:09:37] I like that. [00:09:39] And that is to build an elven village. [00:09:45] Anyway, update on everything. [00:09:48] I will make more regular videos next week. [00:09:51] I just need to do some things and set up an epic place to record the regular videos. [00:09:59] So in the meantime, I thought to make some Let's Plays. [00:10:01] And then obviously, since I was gifted this earlier today, I thought was a reasonable course of action to jump straight into it. [00:10:10] And also because the game is new, and I know that a lot of Warhammer bras, both Fantasy and 40k are subscribed. [00:10:21] So it's and obviously a lot of guys who like Total War. [00:10:25] So and for me personally also always loved Warhammer, always loved Total War, so match made in heaven for me at least. [00:10:35] But if you do not particularly like gaming or if you're not really into it, don't worry, I'll be back to my regular videos soon enough. [00:10:45] But even if you're not into gaming, you can just relax and listen to my soothing voice. [00:10:52] I don't know if it's a soothing voice, but I hope so. [00:10:58] Now then, first things first, technology can't really do anything. [00:11:07] We need to build something fun first. [00:11:12] Right. [00:11:14] Hmm. [00:11:15] Okay, we must research some technologies. [00:11:18] How about diplomacy? [00:11:20] Relations with foreign powers may be managed through diplomacy, my lord. [00:11:25] Consider your situation carefully before accepting any agreement. [00:11:30] That guy, if anyone has a soothing voice, reminds me a bit about Esbern in Skyrim. [00:11:37] Alright, Ivres, you seem like decent, good elves. [00:11:46] Let us trade. [00:11:47] We can even have a military access. [00:11:48] Go. [00:11:52] I agree to your terms, though it causes me great pain. [00:11:54] Why would it do that? [00:11:55] We're trading on equal terms here. [00:12:00] Extremely silly of you. [00:12:01] Okay, Sappary. [00:12:04] My request, dear Ingmir. [00:12:09] But I am an Aser of Ultan, you extremely silly girl. [00:12:16] They don't really seem quite impossible. [00:12:20] Quite impossible. [00:12:21] Yeah, they didn't want to trade for some Azer Princess. [00:12:28] Phoenix Corn awaits your plea with interest. [00:12:31] Can I non-aggression pact, maybe? [00:12:34] And alright, let's do that. [00:12:37] What? [00:12:38] Blasphemy. [00:12:39] Trade agreement, then. [00:12:42] Foi. [00:12:45] Prince of Alfwan. [00:12:47] Oh, foi. [00:12:51] This is absolutely. [00:12:53] I can't. [00:12:59] I want to trade with you. [00:13:00] If you wish. [00:13:02] Coolest units in all of Warhammer, White Lions. [00:13:07] I will build some of them later, or recruit some of them later as we progress in this series. [00:13:14] Okay, and I don't really think anyone else wants to trade with me. [00:13:17] The Scourge of Cain. [00:13:23] I just want to see what it says. [00:13:25] I don't. [00:13:26] Never. [00:13:28] Never. [00:13:29] Okay, he doesn't like me. [00:13:32] But that's fine. [00:13:34] It is absolutely fine. [00:13:36] I want to bring the word to these heretics, but we're gonna need some more lads and archers are always fun to do battle with. [00:13:51] And that's that. [00:13:52] I suppose I'll take the turn. [00:13:55] And then the war is on the cult of excess. [00:14:05] That sounds like some degenerates. [00:14:09] And we can't have that, can we? [00:14:12] Dear true friends. [00:14:15] Speaking of the term true friends, I don't really use it anymore because no one understands what I say when I say it. [00:14:21] So people are wondering what are you saying in the beginning? [00:14:25] And they think I say something completely else, which is ill-considered. [00:14:32] Which is silly. [00:14:36] Ever loyal. [00:14:38] Ever loyal. [00:14:39] I like that. [00:14:43] Gonna go with one more unit of spearmen as well for optimal glory. [00:14:49] Gonna take another turn and see what this sick cunt is going. [00:14:58] Hopefully we can provoke a sort of battle. [00:15:14] So yeah, nice with some autumn gaming. [00:15:19] I hope thou all agreest. [00:15:22] Be wary, my lord, for the dark elves have been sighted. [00:15:26] These pitiless killers are as dangerous on the battlefield as they are treacherous round the table. [00:15:31] I advise great caution. [00:15:35] That is some good advice. [00:15:37] I will heed it, my friend. [00:15:41] I'm gonna bring the hit right now. [00:15:45] See what the crack is. [00:15:48] Boom. [00:15:50] Alright, let's do it. [00:15:52] I suppose a battle can be good in the first episode. [00:16:07] I think that is mandatory even for the first episode of a Total War Let's Play. [00:16:15] Last Total War Let's Play I made was one and a half years ago and I was the kingdom of Asturias in Attila commencing an epic reconquista of Iberia. [00:16:30] It was quite popular. [00:16:31] Let's play. [00:16:31] I hope this Let's Play also gets well received by you. [00:16:39] Alright, I will not deploy because I'm too cool for that. [00:16:45] No, I am merely jesting. [00:16:47] I will not deploy because they have the majority of their troops already. [00:16:56] I mean they're not here yet. [00:16:59] Look at that. [00:16:59] We have a phoenix. [00:17:02] How glorious? [00:17:04] Oh, and by the way, I need to expand my English vocabulary. [00:17:10] So I don't need to use glorious and epic to describe exactly everything. [00:17:16] But sometimes that's the only thing that can be used to describe certain things. [00:17:22] So if we admire these guys right here, that is quite epic. [00:17:32] I don't know if magnificent would be the right term to describe it. [00:17:39] But so yeah, I'll have to use epic and glorious too. [00:17:45] Until further notice. [00:17:48] God, they are getting absolutely wrecked. [00:17:51] Your troops will fire at will without orders to the contrary, Commander. [00:17:55] Have them conserve their ammunition, if you so wish. [00:17:59] Oh no, I like the Storm of Arrows. [00:18:03] It is quite satisfying to see this cult of excess. [00:18:10] They are as the name suggests. [00:18:19] They are pleasure-seeking hedonists, decadent degenerates. [00:18:24] So they need to pay with their lives. [00:18:30] I'm gonna speed up the battle a bit. [00:18:33] Okay, you could actually save some ammunition there until these guys come in to play. [00:19:00] Oh, right. [00:19:05] Yes, you can actually fire now. [00:19:07] Look at this now. [00:19:15] That, if anything, is brutal. [00:19:22] The enemy general is slain, my lord. [00:19:26] Cursing your name with it. [00:19:28] Very good. [00:19:30] Very good indeed. === Battle Orders Received (02:51) === [00:19:32] Now, let us look at these guys. [00:19:41] Quite high energy, I must say, and I suppose they want to charge in my, my bowmen there. [00:19:51] So uh, we're gonna meet them up with our uh spearmen. [00:20:03] It shall be done. [00:20:09] Shield of the Everqueen. Shield of the Everqueen. Shield of the Everqueen. [00:20:13] All right, Rick'em lads. [00:20:19] Understood understood, orders received. [00:20:23] All right boom, get at him, lads. [00:20:30] Oh, our gallant hero ah, the aesthetics are on point. [00:20:47] There, we are all right, I'm gonna utilize my phoenix there. [00:20:56] I want to get in the flank to better utilize my... [00:21:13] Alright, let's try this. [00:21:19] See how he fares, see if we can stand these archers behind, behind their lines, and unleash hell would be quite strategic, I suppose. [00:21:43] Tyrion Tyrion, oh mighty prince, received death blow. [00:22:08] Asurian guides up archers. [00:22:11] All right, get him. [00:22:12] Lads, I think we should have this battle in our. [00:22:21] Oh, you can actually help them. === Battle in Ulthuan (03:20) === [00:22:24] If you don't mind, lads, you can charge in the Dreadlord. [00:22:48] He will soon die. [00:23:00] I like this uh, this Phoenix tire. [00:23:04] Mighty lord oh, but we have won their ability to fight. [00:23:08] How nice, okay cool. [00:23:12] That was a good start to this. [00:23:14] This campaign yeah, feels good. [00:23:19] Dutch APG, most satisfying indeed. [00:23:25] Yes, as I said, I do believe that Malakith is actually the true heir of Altwan. [00:23:39] We're gonna occupy it because this is our land. [00:23:42] The Druki city and yeah, there's a really epic trilogy. [00:23:53] First book is called Malachith, second book is called Shadow King, which is probably one of the best books I've read. [00:24:02] I would say. [00:24:03] So always some book recommendations when in my videos. [00:24:11] But yeah, anyway, that's my thoughts on it because he was the son of Anerion, which was the first king of Ulthuan. [00:24:20] But he got cocked, so to speak, and he got exiled to Nagaroth. [00:24:25] So now he's planning his revenge. [00:24:28] And they have actually advanced the storyline of Warhammer to the great discontent of many hardcore fans. [00:24:38] For me, it was nice when they advanced the storyline, but I kinda like the Warhammer world as it was. [00:24:44] But you know, it is what it is. [00:24:47] Anyway, I think I will leave it there for this episode. [00:24:53] And comment glory to Turion, savior of Ulthuan, if you have watched this far. [00:25:03] Because always nice to see how the retention time is on these longer videos. [00:25:09] And I'm obviously humbled that you are participating and that you are with me in spirit as we commence this crusade campaign to restore glory to Ulthuan. [00:25:25] So anyway, really happy to be back in the Warhammer world and happy to be in a sunny place since it's so autumn weather outside, cold and raining, so it's nice to be metaphysically at least in another place. [00:25:42] But yeah, thank you for watching.
