Greetings warriors of Christ and welcome back to our Reconquista.
I took a few turns since the last episode to just reconsolidate our power a bit.
So we have a good few cities up here that needs to be taken.
Valentia needs to be taken as well.
So I have stationed this army here.
And then our brave king is coming up there.
Leaving these guys here in case of rebellion and combing up a rather large army here as well.
So what happens here as well is that Toledo is under siege and Gwad Alajara is in enemy hands.
We have a little battle here which I suppose we could actually take.
It could be a fun thing.
And I will do that in just a bit.
Or we could just satisfy ourselves with no, actually, you know what, we're gonna take this bastard.
They cannot think it is okay to rebel against us like that.
So we're just gonna do like that.
Take on those warriors.
And because this is what I want to do, I want to maintain a good solid military presence here at the border.
Just gonna repair you quickly.
So yeah, that is basically what is up there.
In Beka, we're gonna dismantle that barrack because we don't really need it to be honest.
A little rebellion there as well.
Gods chosen against the hunters of heresy and the messengers.
So that will be quite interesting indeed to see what the crack is.
Oh really?
Oh god.
They fled just outside of range from us.
I suppose we'll have to wait a turn to deal with these insolent dogs.
So we're gonna see who has okay that was not a particularly good general because you see he he doesn't really get any better such things whereas this guy is a bit more glorious in in regards to recruiting units with good training.
So end on and we'll see what is up in the next turn.
It will be will be interesting to see all right there came the typho Valentia and oh look that Toledo is under The balance power is not looking all too kindly upon us, but who knows?
It could be a fun thing either way to just try to get Muhammad, their general, and see if our towers can be of any use.
In these smaller kind of battles, having a few towers make a very large difference Oh, look at this.
It's actually a fortified city.
Nice.
Wow, look at this.
Mirin.
And ah no.
Okay, I had my hopes up there for a minute, that we actually could have the use of towers, but they, it's gone.
Don't have any towers, so that leads me to believe that it's quite unnecessary to stand down there.
We can stand up here instead.
I'm just gonna start the battle and react.
Okay, they have all the siege equipment that they are not even using.
Let's look at their general armored cavalry.
Quite cool.
Sick physique.
Nice.
Cool.
Alright, yeah, I'm gonna speed up this battle a bit because I don't know if we will get any really cool action in it.
I'm gonna place those here.
We have the high ground at least.
Oh, a lot of civilians.
I suppose they would do best to run inside now when the Blasphemous Moors come, and even if we lose this fairer city, be sure to take it all back soon enough.
Alright, I'll add you're capturing 1.0.
Oh, look at that!
Our towers actually coming into play.
Muhammad!
Would it be cool if the tower could actually shoot?
Oh no!
Ah, I didn't see that at all.
That they could actually come up here.
That was rather silly, to be honest.
But they have made a stupid mistake.
They've gone up with their general here.
For glory.
see if our proud sons of Christ can do anything fun here.
Can you just get around here, at That would be absolutely awesome.
And now, come on, did not go according to plan.
Alright, cool.
The enemy general is dead.
Oh, absolutely glorious.
Alright, a very tight battle now.
Their armored cavalry would be very cool if they could just die.
Yes, come on, kill those bastards.
Ah!
Nice.
They are fleeing there.
Ah!
If I could just have some more ammunition, that would be absolutely glorious.
Maybe I can get a cool rear charge though.
How about that?
For the glory of Christ!
For God himself!
Ah, come on.
Kill us Bastage.
The type of Barcelona is also blue.
Hence the confusion.
Okay, we really don't want them to shoot us in the rear there.
Come on, don't die, don't die.
Highly glorious.
Medium melee infantry.
Alright, cool.
For their lives!
No, fuck highly disturbing.
Okay, cool.
Was a good battle, either way.
It was a valiant defeat, in all actuality.
Perhaps not the way that I wished this all to end, but it is what it is.
I will retake it momentarily.
I will retake it without vengeance, even.
Now our governor has levelled.
Can we...
Tax rate, always nice.
Always nice thing.
Another governor has leveled.
Let's see if we have anything fun here.
Ah, corruption.
Good.
Good to have less of that.
And there we have Toledo.
You can actually not keep Toledo.
I'm terribly sorry.
But you cannot keep Toledo.
It is actually our city.
Now let's see if Valencia and then our glorious king will come up there and sort that out.
Okay, so we only have one settlement in this region, and that's severely damaged.
Alright, so the heroes of the Caliphate will probably come in and take Valaduid.
And there is not that much we can do about it, I'm afraid.
What is the cracker?
We have two armies.
Alright, let's take Saragosa.
Boom, boom.
Here we are, we can subjugate them.
Would perhaps be a cool thing to do.
Or we can loot and occupy.
Which is actually what we will do.
And.
Oh, they're not happy now.
They are not happy at all.
Grand Mosque.
Dismantle.
And dismantle a good few things here.
No, what's that?
That's not a very maktab.
Oh, well, we can repair it then and convert it later on, I suppose.
Now, true friends, what more can we do?
A merchant?
No, supply sounds better.
Gods chosen.
Okay, building there, and then we'll take another turn here.
Is actually what I want to do.
Cut this.
Okay, now we have to build a merchant here.
Now, what more can we do in this glorious episode?
Well, I suppose we can give them a run for their money, at least, by defending that settlement.
Probably what we can do.
Maybe we can recruit some more units somewhere.
There we are.
Alright cool.
Pop boom.
Low integrity, three turns.
Okay, that's fine.
They'll probably be dead by then either way, so it's just fine.
Alright, and there we go.
Let's take the battle.
And it looks like we're having then two defeats in this episode, but that's fine, actually.
That's completely fine.
Because Abd al-Jabar knows that he will not survive for long.
He knows exactly what is up.
And that is that he will be killed by our valiant men.
Okay, so, what do we have to...
Oh, God, a lot of, a lot of everything.
Gonna keep our cavalier here.
As for the rest, they will actually.
Now let's see skirmisher stand there, spearman boom, boom.
God, give us strength, and I suppose the rest of them will be, will be ready to, ready to act in accord with the wishes of our savior in all like sheltered.
So Easter is actually coming up, always a nice little holiday, for me at least, highly associated with Jellignite sweets and chocolate and marzipan and whatnot, you know, with Easter eggs.
highly joyous.
But this fair city will not be able to celebrate Easter if we, if we cannot manage to hold, hold these barbarians here, armored cavalry.
Maybe we can charge them don't really want to fight for them to
To be perfectly honest, would be much cooler if we can just hold them here and let the tower shoot at them for glory.
Let's admire this guys.
Ah, nice.
Beautiful.
Beaut.
That's cool.
They should not have come to Iberia to cause problem.
Oh, look, there's the general.
I'm gonna withdraw these skirmishers to see if we can actually do something fun.
Okay, our the armored horsemen made swift work of our guys there.
Abd al-Jabbar.
And these lads should not take this long.
You should be able to kill these light skirmersers, for God's sake.
Ah, fuck.
Now come on, lads.
Get them in the rear.
Ah, wonderful.
Absolutely glorious.
Alright, true friends.
Things are looking somewhat decent.
We don't really have any heavy melee units, unfortunately.
And I don't want to commit our general just yet.
I might have to in order to salvage this situation in all actuality soon enough I suppose.
But I don't really see any good chance for a cool epic charge.
I think I can shoot a bit I suppose.
Alright I zoomed into the action a bit and utilized a little edit as I do when it becomes this much of a grind.
And I think it might be appropriate to put in our general now, because you see they don't have any spearmen left, so I'm just gonna glory to Macedon and just hope that our general does not do anything silly now.
Hopefully we can push back the the tide here.
Skipion, Royal Guard cavalry, alright good excellent Yes, they're breaking.
Wonderful, absolutely wonderful.
A glorious victory indeed Yeah, that felt uh felt rather good to be honest felt um really good to to defeat the heretics in such manner
Rebellion, yeah, that's a new pope is elected.
How quaint.
A lot of imminent, eminent imminent, I mean rebellions.
Cool, I think that will have to be the end of this episode.
No, the end of this episode must obviously be with some land gains.
So just gonna go up with our king there and take Valentia, occupy.
You be quite prepared to minerated min, minerated mosque.
We can convert it to a priory afterwards.
Now Toledo cannot under any circumstances be in blasphemous hands.
So that will be next turn.
I take that and gods chosen, let's do like that to turn excellent.
Oh, that also seemed like a good idea to do.
Alright, cool.
So yeah, I will see you in the next episode, and the next episode will be the last one, because then we have a nice, clean number 12.
You know, like Celti, ten episodes was just a bit too little because I wanted to to have it all before uh we start a new campaign.
