[00:00:14] Today I want to quickly elaborate a bit on why I prefer the push press towards the strict press. [00:00:21] And that code is simple. [00:00:22] Honored gods, love your woman, protect your country. [00:00:32] Okay, that was not really the answer to it. [00:00:35] The reason is quite simple indeed. [00:00:37] It's because it's easier to progress. [00:00:40] We all know, I think everyone who's watching this, I think like 80% of all guys who are watching this knows the fucking feel when stall on overhead press. [00:00:50] It is really, really hard to progress on it. [00:00:54] It is. [00:00:55] That's a known fact. [00:00:56] It's a notorious fact. [00:00:59] So, for me, when I began stalling on the strict military press, I switched to push press because it's easier to progress there. [00:01:08] And I became stronger. [00:01:09] And as a result of me becoming stronger in the push press, I also got stronger overall and stronger in the stricter press. [00:01:19] Now I'm not strong in the strict press still. [00:01:22] I am stronger, not strong. [00:01:24] But for me, it is the case that I want to progress there. [00:01:29] If I can progress in the push press, but I can't progress in the strict press, it doesn't really matter that much that the strict press might, you know, take more exclusively on the shoulders. [00:01:40] I just want to move heavy weights, and that's also because, yes, I want the shoulders to grow. === Progressing the Push Press (01:15) === [00:01:46] So, yeah, let's talk a bit about that as well. [00:02:03] Now, obviously, bench press is great for the shoulders as well. [00:02:07] When you pause, obviously, it primarily hits the chest, but the triceps and the shoulders get a good going as well. [00:02:14] Then you can add lateral rises like that. [00:02:18] Really good exercise. [00:02:20] And then, obviously, some sort of overhead press. [00:02:24] And in that regard, I just happened to prefer the push press because I can progress easier in that. [00:02:32] So, short, informative video.
