The Golden One - Marcus Follin - Jack Donovan, Master Chim, Tom Kier. Vanity and Masculinity Aired: 2015-08-11 Duration: 04:03 === Solid Podcast Recommendation (03:40) === [00:00:22] Greetings, true friends. [00:00:24] Today I want to address some recent blasphemies and heretical views I heard. [00:00:29] First of all, though, I would like to say that the podcast, which is linked below with Tuantom, MasterChim and my man, Jack Donovan, a really, really solid fucking podcast. [00:00:42] Please do yourself a favor and listen to it. [00:00:45] It's not often I recommend something in earnest, but this is really good. [00:00:49] If you're a man, you will get 10 plus in masculinity and a critical chance of resisting feminized behavior. [00:00:55] So great talk about masculinity below. [00:00:57] However, there was one thing I could not let lay when I listened to the podcast and I had to stand up for my Elven brother Legolas because these three intellectual heavyweights as it were, they saw a problem with that Legolas was one of the most popular characters in Lord of the Rings and Fellowship of the Ring and I kind of reacted because I think your analysis there was dead wrong. [00:01:25] It is not the case that Legolas is one of the most popular characters because he is an unthreatening and nice elf. [00:01:33] In accord with masculine ideals, you're not based on how you look but on how you perform. [00:01:39] So he can be as gay looking, as fae looking, as fucking vain as he wants. [00:01:44] When push comes to shove, he fucking delivers. [00:01:47] Let's just look at his martial prowess with a bow. [00:01:49] He has the highest kill count in, I think, I'm right now, but I think he has one of the higher kill counts in all of the books or the films. [00:01:58] So, yes, he is vain. [00:02:00] Am I vain? [00:02:02] Yes, I'm vain as fuck Does it matter? [00:02:13] No, because when time comes to deliver, I am ready to go, like, no matter what it is. [00:02:20] And I'm not basing my value in any way upon being vain at all. [00:02:25] That is just another thing completely. [00:02:27] What you're basing your tribe members in the masculine way is how they perform under pressure. [00:02:35] When push comes to shove, is this guy gonna pull his weight? [00:02:38] In Legolas' case, yes. [00:02:40] He's fucking wonderful with his bow. [00:02:41] He pulls his weight. [00:02:42] So then it doesn't fucking matter how he looks. [00:02:45] And this also reminds me of the really, really fucking retarded thing a lot of guys say, like, oh, you know, real men eat meat. [00:02:52] No, your masculinity is not based in any way on your fucking diet habits. [00:02:56] Not at all. [00:02:57] But either fucking way, I digress. [00:02:59] I just wanted to stand up a bit for my eleven brother Legolas and point to the fact that he is popular because he's a fucking killing machine. [00:03:06] And when push comes to shove, he fucking delivers. [00:03:09] He steps up his game and pulls his weight in the tribe. [00:03:12] And that is attractive. [00:03:14] He's not popular because he looks the way he does. [00:03:18] But then obviously it's rather cool. [00:03:20] And I'm not vain for any other reason that when I look in the mirror, I like to see a fucking demigod looking back at me. [00:03:26] And also, lastly, you have to be consistent. [00:03:29] If you think like, oh, as a man, you're not deemed on your looks, but on your behavior. [00:03:34] But then don't be consistent with that as well. [00:03:37] Then you can't say like, oh, you know, Legolas is less masculine because he looks less masculine. [00:03:43] That shit doesn't matter. [00:03:44] He can perform. [00:03:45] And that is what matters. [00:03:47] But to conclude, like, check out the podcast. [00:03:50] Really fucking solid podcast. [00:03:51] And I think all of you three do wonderful work. [00:03:53] So No hard feelings, but you cannot blaspheme against a brother like that without getting reprimanded by me. [00:04:02] And who am I?
