Today I want to introduce you to my concept of culture stack as it were and I this is something I do to enjoy life more basically and to find motivation in self-improvement in in the gym in the temple of glory in the temple of Thor so basically what I do is if we look at the gym books music TV series films and gaming We look at those things and try to connect those with each other.
So right now my culture stack is in all actuality from the end of Rome until the Viking Age.
So when the Germanic tribes are beginning to move that's my culture stack right now.
So we've got the North Atlantic culture kind of thing.
So with Britain Ireland Scotland, the Norse lands, etc.
So we can begin with the music.
Listening now to Ence, Ferum and you know Viking kind of music almond Armart Cruakon, for the Irish feel, stuff like that.
Now, you all know I usually listen to metal either way, but it, you know, creates that extra feel to it.
So there is the music part of it.
And if we switch to books, I've bought two new books right now, Viking voices.
They're in Ireland as well, so I will utilize that before I go to Ireland next time, which will be in a few weeks.
And then obviously, Bernard Cornwell has come out with a new book.
If you haven't read Bernard Cornwell's books on Uthred, do so.
Highly recommend it.
Book advice for the day, Bernard Cornwell um yeah, really great author, I love him, no Homo, uh.
So yeah, that's that's the book advice I have right there now.
I read loads of that time as well.
And then we can go to the TV series.
And the Vikings just started a new season and for everyone's like oh, it's not that historical accurate well, like nothing is.
You take it for what it is, you don't have to watch it, but for me.
I enjoy it either way, even though, like it isn't the most historical accurate.
And then with the gaming part, obviously we got Attila, which I'm more or less obsessed with right now.
You've seen all the let's plays.
If you haven't already check them out, I'll link them below.
And then mountain blade also to get an immersive feel.
So I get, so I'm in that mode all the time, like in Viking mode, like with in that kind of setting.
And then when I go to the gym I'll be like foi, I'm a great Varyngian guard, I'm a fucking guardian of Asgard, I'm a Viking warrior.
And then also I've switched my training a bit now as well.
Now is not the time for me to be shredded.
I'm gonna focus a bit more on strongman.
I'm gonna try to train strongman at least once a week because that's, you know Nordic Scandinavian, kind of northern European feel to it.
So I'm gonna go with that for a while.
And then another culture stack, as it were.
During the summer I'll probably switch back to my culture stack, that is, the ancient world, like the Hellenic world, and start to emulate those ideals, train more aesthetically, which basically means that I'll be cutting more and try to be lean And try to get in that kind of mode, you know, watch Troy.
Read some of those books, for example.
Like, this is an example of a book if I'm in that cultural mode, and then also Rome as well.
Then you can watch like Spartacus and stuff like that.
So, basically, my point with a culture stack is that you take different things, put them together to get in the mode of things.
Now, as it is spring, for me, springtime has always been like fucking go time, and also actually with that, with this time period.
So, and then during the summer, it's more like the Hellenic world.
So, I'm trying to create a culture stack to motivate myself to make life more fun and always have that motivation in the gym.
So, now I'm fucking pumped up to train strongman and to get strong and be a brutal fucking beast.
And then, when summer comes, I'm thinking about I'm gonna look like Achilles now.
So, basically, to conclude, I take different cultural things like books, music, films, TV series, gaming, and put them together and create that motivation in life and in the gym.
It becomes fucking, you know, great fun as fuck.
Like, at least for me.
So, that's a motivational thing I use right there.
So, right now, glory to the old father.
That cultural stack is what I'm about right now.
So, I just want to share that with you all.
