The Tucker Carlson Show - Our Federal Agencies Are Out of Control Aired: 2023-11-23 Duration: 06:59 === Firing Comey: The Insurance Policy (01:31) === [00:00:00] That's my question. [00:00:00] How do you, if you get elected again, go back to Washington, how do you keep the agencies under control? [00:00:06] How do you keep FBI and CIA specifically under control? [00:00:09] The way you do it, like I fired Comey, that was a big deal. [00:00:12] You know, a lot of people said, and I fired him very early. [00:00:14] Somebody said, oh, I wish you would have fired him. [00:00:16] There was a real question about firing him. [00:00:18] Anyway, you understand, because when they have a 10-year term, there is a question. [00:00:22] I fired Comey. [00:00:23] That was a great thing. [00:00:24] If I didn't fire Comey, maybe I wouldn't be talking to you, or I'd be talking to you about real estate or something else other than politics, right? [00:00:31] That was a coup, in my opinion. [00:00:32] That was a very sick deal. [00:00:34] That was the insurance policy. [00:00:35] You remember the insurance policy? [00:00:37] Oh, she's going to win, darling. [00:00:39] She's going to win. [00:00:41] But just in case she doesn't, we have an insurance policy. [00:00:43] And insurance policy was what they were doing. [00:00:47] And we caught them with that. [00:00:48] That was a very important tweet or whatever it was, text. [00:00:52] It was a big deal. [00:00:54] That was a big deal. [00:00:55] The insurance policy. [00:00:58] She's going to win $100 million to one. [00:01:01] That's not good odds. [00:01:02] At least they gave me one, right? [00:01:03] $100 million to one. [00:01:05] But just in case she doesn't win, we have an insurance policy. [00:01:10] And everybody said, that's strange. [00:01:12] That's strange. [00:01:13] But we caught all that because I fired Comey. [00:01:16] Because when I fired Comey, it was like throwing a rock into a hornet's nest, into a nest of bees, and the place went crazy. [00:01:25] So when you were president, are you confident that you knew everything, say, CIA was doing around the world? === Insurance Policy Bet (05:27) === [00:01:31] No, I'm not. [00:01:32] I'm not. [00:01:34] It's a very interesting group of people. [00:01:36] I had very good relationships, I thought. [00:01:37] I was a little surprised when I got out that, you know, things go on. [00:01:44] What were you surprised by? [00:01:47] I was surprised. [00:01:47] I think at some of the people, I was surprised that there was. [00:01:51] I had a group of people. [00:01:52] Look, we killed many using the CIA. [00:01:55] I have to say this. [00:01:57] Bad, very bad actors. [00:01:59] We were very good at it. [00:02:01] You look at Solomony, you look at al-Baghdadi, bigger than Osama bin Laden. [00:02:06] I mean, Osama bin Laden, but Al-Baghdadi did ISIS, and he was rebuilding ISIS very strongly. [00:02:13] And that was the CIA that did that. [00:02:15] That was really us that did that. [00:02:17] That was really us that did that. [00:02:19] And Soleimani was us that did that, not so much CIA. [00:02:24] But we did some very good work with the CIA. [00:02:28] One of the things I did with EPA is you have states, many states, most of the states have so much water. [00:02:34] You know, it comes out of heaven, right? [00:02:36] The water pours down and you have it. [00:02:38] It's there. [00:02:38] It's got to go wherever it goes, into the oceans, whatever. [00:02:42] It's not like a big problem. [00:02:44] Now, in some states, they have a problem. [00:02:45] You know, you have some desert areas and all, and for that, it's okay. [00:02:50] But they have sinks where no water comes out. [00:02:54] You turn it on, no water comes out. [00:02:57] No water comes out of the shower. [00:03:00] No water is allowed to go into the washing machine for your dishes or for your clothing or what. [00:03:06] And I avoided all of that. [00:03:08] Wait, they have sinks where no water comes out? [00:03:11] Sure, you have restrictors. [00:03:12] When I say no water, very little water. [00:03:13] You want to wash your hands, right? [00:03:15] Yeah. [00:03:15] And you've seen this. [00:03:16] And you turn on the sink and it's very little. [00:03:20] Or you want to wash your beautiful hair, right? [00:03:23] And you're standing under a shower. [00:03:26] Then the suds never go. [00:03:27] The water comes out very slowly. [00:03:28] I'm sure you've seen this. [00:03:29] It usually takes place in new hotels in New Orleans. [00:03:32] Yeah, you take a drill and take the water out. [00:03:34] Well, you can, but now they make it so you can't do that so easily. [00:03:37] They have a restrictor. [00:03:38] It's called a restrictor. [00:03:40] And it restricts the water from coming out. [00:03:42] So I ended all of that. [00:03:44] And you have to see these, they let the water come out. [00:03:48] You know what people do? [00:03:49] They wash their hands like five times longer, or in the washing machine, they'll press for their, let's say, the dishwasher. [00:03:56] They'll press it. [00:03:58] Then they'll press it about seven or eight times. [00:04:00] They'll end up using more water, and it still won't be very good. [00:04:04] I met with the head of Whirlpool. [00:04:05] They were practically going out of business during my administration, and they said to me from Ohio, incredible, great state. [00:04:12] I love Ohio. [00:04:13] And they were really doing badly because people were dumping washing machines all over, mostly from South Korea, but also from China. [00:04:21] And he was explaining it's just a terrible situation. [00:04:24] I said, let me ask you, how's the quality? [00:04:26] He says, well, better, but they are good enough quality. [00:04:29] But, you know, of course, he's going to say that. [00:04:30] But, you know, they are better. [00:04:32] He said, but they don't allow us. [00:04:35] They're dumping these machines. [00:04:36] They're cutting us in half. [00:04:38] They're killing us. [00:04:39] And on top of it, the government won't let us use water in our machines. [00:04:44] I mean, he shows me like a quarter of a bottle of water that's supposed to be washing clothing. [00:04:50] And I freed it all up, and I put tariffs on these countries that were selling and the machines coming into the country. [00:04:57] And that company went from a big, big, all the washing machine companies, they make washing machines, they make dryers, they make all of the different machines that do this kind of work, including dishwashers. [00:05:08] And they went from a disaster area to being just thriving. [00:05:11] But they love me in that part of Ohio. [00:05:13] Well, I bet they do, but why should EPA, no one at EPA was elected by anybody, why do they have the power to decide how much water your washing machine uses? [00:05:22] Shouldn't Congress in a democracy get to vote on that? [00:05:25] Who wants to not be able to use a gas stove or have to drive an electric car, which, you know, you have a four-hour drive, but the car only goes an hour and a half, so you have to charge it. [00:05:37] The happiest moment for somebody in an electric car is the first 10 minutes. [00:05:41] In other words, you get it charged, and now for 10 minutes. [00:05:45] The unhappiest part is the next hour because you're petrified that you're not going to be fine with another charger. [00:05:51] People, I'm saying if people, I'm not knocking electric cars, they're fine. [00:05:55] They're fine. [00:05:56] But if people want to buy a gasoline car or hybrid, hybrids are pretty good, actually, but they should be allowed to buy. [00:06:03] They don't want to do any of this. [00:06:05] So right now, California is in a big brownout because their grid is a disaster. [00:06:10] The grid all over the country is sort of a disaster, but the grid in California. [00:06:14] And yet, they want to have in a very short period of time, millions and millions of cars going off that grid essentially. [00:06:23] It doesn't work. [00:06:23] So plug your car into a grid that's fairly fast. [00:06:25] You should be able to buy an electric car. [00:06:27] You know, electric cars could be fine if you drive short distances and you want to have, you know, whatever, and you have plug-ins everywhere you go. [00:06:33] They could be fine. [00:06:35] But you've got to have gasoline cars. [00:06:36] You've got to have everything. [00:06:38] Let people buy everything. [00:06:40] Now the new thing is your heating systems in the house. [00:06:43] They don't want you to have a modern-day heating system. [00:06:46] They want you to use a heating system that will cost you at least $10,000 to buy and won't work very well. [00:06:52] You know, none of this stuff works as well. [00:06:56] You'll hear people say the news is full of wine.
