The Tucker Carlson Show - Tucker Carlson - Question their lies and they’ll call you a liar. Ignore it and keep going. Aired: 2023-09-22 Duration: 06:32 === What We Penalize Matters (04:25) === [00:00:00] If you want to know, and I'm being completely sincere, what's true, the true things are the things that you can't say. [00:00:11] I cannot remember the last time someone in public life was prosecuted or even criticized for lying. [00:00:21] If lying was a crime, I mean, your governor would be in Supermax for life. [00:00:31] If being incompetent was a felony, she'd be on death row! [00:00:37] Banning paint sales during COVID? It's unbelievable! [00:00:44] But there's no penalty for lying and there's no penalty for incompetence. [00:00:48] So what do we penalize? [00:00:49] Every society penalizes something. [00:00:52] There's a death penalty offense in every society from the beginning of time. [00:00:56] What's ours? [00:00:56] It's telling the truth. [00:00:58] If you tell the truth, the real truth, the no BS truth, like what's actually going on here? [00:01:04] Is this actually working? [00:01:05] And no, it's not. [00:01:06] Why isn't it working? [00:01:07] If you were to be honest about that, you're done. [00:01:11] So you have to ask yourself, like, what does it say about a society where the only penalty is for noting what's true? [00:01:21] It says something pretty bad about that society. [00:01:23] Do you want to live in a place where lying is mandatory? [00:01:29] It's a third world country, as someone just said. [00:01:32] Literally two days ago, I was in downtown Buenos Aires, and I said to somebody, the economy's completely collapsed, they have hyperinflation, and they said, what's the exchange rate on the peso, the Argentine peso, to the US dollar? [00:01:44] And they're like, well, the government claims it's 350 pesos to the dollar, but actually it's over 700. I was like, so the government lies about what the value of its own currency is? [00:01:55] Oh, absolutely. [00:01:56] I was like, that's crazy! [00:01:57] And by the way, to pay for lunch, it takes a stack of pesos the size of a cinder block. [00:02:02] You need a backpack just to buy a pack of cigarettes. [00:02:04] It's unbelievable. [00:02:05] But, I was like, I can't believe the government lies about the value of its own currency. [00:02:10] And I was like, oh wait, sorry. [00:02:12] I shouldn't be surprised. [00:02:14] Because mine does too. [00:02:16] And about everything else. [00:02:18] So if you want to make that better, and I'll stop at this, I think the only answer Is to tell the truth calmly and slowly and fearlessly. [00:02:31] Everybody knows what it is. [00:02:34] They'll come at you. [00:02:35] First, they'll tell you you're hurting someone's feelings. [00:02:37] You're mean. [00:02:39] That's always different. [00:02:40] They're trying to appeal to your basic decency and then subvert it. [00:02:43] No one wants to be mean. [00:02:44] They did this during COVID. Well, you should take the shot. [00:02:47] Well, what's in the shot? [00:02:48] Shut up and take it. [00:02:49] But I don't need the shot. [00:02:50] I already had COVID. You know, I'm 26. I just ran an Ironman. [00:02:55] Shut up and take the shot. [00:02:57] What if I don't want to? [00:02:57] You're killing your grandparents. [00:02:59] Okay. [00:03:01] And that's the first thing they do. [00:03:03] They accuse you of being mean. [00:03:05] And the second thing they do is they call you insane. [00:03:07] You're a conspiracy theorist. [00:03:09] Really? [00:03:11] If I were the sort of person who gloated, I would keep a list of all the times I personally have been called a conspiracy theorist or a wacko and then compare them to the outcome five years later. [00:03:23] They all turned out to be true. [00:03:28] I try to be a decent Protestant and not brag about myself, but like, the list is long! [00:03:35] Very long. [00:03:37] And then the third thing they do is just criminalize telling the truth. [00:03:39] And you're seeing that now. [00:03:42] There are people who are going to jail for non-trivial lengths. [00:03:45] By the way, anyone who's ever been to a jail knows, and there are a bunch of sheriffs here, and they know best of all, any time in jail is not trivial. [00:03:52] Any time behind bars. [00:03:53] A drunk driving offense for a night can change your life. [00:03:55] You don't want to go to jail. [00:03:57] Period. [00:03:57] It's not a joke. [00:03:58] And anyone who tells you, oh, he's going to Club Fed where they have volleyball. [00:04:01] Right. [00:04:03] Taking away a person's freedom and locking him in a cage where he can't see the stars at night is short of killing him. [00:04:10] Maybe more than killing him. [00:04:11] The gravest thing you can do to another human being. [00:04:13] So no one should ever minimize the penalty of prison time or jail time. [00:04:19] It's profound. [00:04:20] It'll destroy you and your family. [00:04:23] And they're sending people to prison. === The Cost of Rigging Elections (02:07) === [00:04:25] For saying that the last election was rigged, which it was. [00:04:31] So... [00:04:32] Oh, how can you say the last election was rigged? [00:04:36] Well, when the country's largest law enforcement organization, the FBI, actively works on behalf of one political party, and when its largest intelligence gathering agency, the CIA, does the same, It's a little bit like what's happening in Michigan. [00:04:54] When federal employees paid for by the tax dollars of everyone take an aggressive position on the side of one political party, you can't have a fair election. [00:05:04] Because you're using public money to put your thumb on the scale on behalf of a partisan cause. [00:05:11] It is totally immoral. [00:05:14] And it's not free and fair. [00:05:16] If our election took place in Bolivia, the 2020 presidential election took place in Bolivia, I can promise you the State Department would report back and say that was not a free and fair election. [00:05:29] And Wikipedia would report it was a clouded election because there was fraud and interference, which there was. [00:05:37] If some oligarch, some tech oligarch, spent nearly half a billion dollars to control the mechanics of the Bolivian election in 2020, we would say it's not a legitimate election. [00:05:48] But when Mark Zuckerberg does it in the United States, oh, he's just helping with COVID. Yeah, he's really afraid of COVID, I'm sure. [00:05:58] Yeah. [00:05:59] So for saying that out loud, people are going to prison. [00:06:04] And, of course, the whole point is to convince you not to say it out loud. [00:06:11] So, don't let them. [00:06:13] That's the only point. [00:06:14] Don't let them. [00:06:16] And if you keep telling the truth, some of you probably get indicted by Dana Nessel. [00:06:22] Well, you're going to women's prison a little better. [00:06:25] But still. [00:06:26] Still prison. [00:06:28] But it's worth it. [00:06:30] Anyway, don't be intimidated.
