True Anon Truth Feed - [PREVIEW] Episode 405: Sticky Icky Business Aired: 2024-09-16 Duration: 04:59 === Million Dollar Idea (01:52) === [00:00:10] I hate it. [00:00:11] You look like Elon. [00:00:21] I do think you need, what's the California stoner character's name? [00:00:42] What's his name going to be? [00:00:44] Bud, I guess. [00:00:46] I had an idea for a sitcom a long time ago. [00:00:48] I actually, you know how sometimes I have million dollar ideas, but society doesn't recognize them? [00:00:53] Well, a million dollars doesn't get you as much as it used to. [00:00:56] You know how, okay, sometimes I have $10 million. [00:00:59] I do kind of have a Dr. Evil idea of what that is. [00:01:03] I have a $10 million idea. [00:01:07] And my idea was this. [00:01:08] This would have made more sense, I feel like a decade ago or like 12 years ago, 13 years ago. [00:01:13] When a million dollars meant something. [00:01:14] It was for a friends. [00:01:16] Actually, I've never really seen that much of friends. [00:01:18] So maybe a different thing. [00:01:20] Now, I guess it would be like the office style. [00:01:22] I know like everything about friends. [00:01:24] But it would be, it wouldn't have, it would be like a friends style sitcom about a dispensary called Buds. [00:01:31] And that was, that would be what the show is. [00:01:33] Skew, I know. [00:01:34] That could still happen. [00:01:35] If they had made that, Hulu, when you started making original content, if you had made two seasons of that and then canceled it, I'm telling you, you would have made like 30,000, 50,000 off of ad revenue or whatever the fuck the margins are on that shit. [00:01:48] It would have been good. [00:01:49] It would have been good. [00:01:50] What would happen in it? [00:01:53] I feel like my, I had the full idea written out because I think I might have even written about an MRR because it was such a stupid idea. === Flower's Love Triangle (02:56) === [00:02:02] There was like, there was, there was one guy, I can't remember what it was, but like the main character was somebody who was kind of a fish out of water thing. [00:02:09] But like he was forced to work at this weed dispensary because like his career prospects fell through of like working at like a real place. [00:02:16] The classic, that's a classic. [00:02:18] Classic. [00:02:19] And then there was, I don't know if I've seen enough TV to like really take all the stereotypes. [00:02:23] Yeah. [00:02:23] Because I was also envisioning that 70s show, but I've never seen a single second of it. [00:02:28] You've probably absorbed it somehow. [00:02:29] But that's what I'm saying. [00:02:30] I've absorbed it. [00:02:31] So like there would also be like, there would be like a very shaggy style stoner character. [00:02:35] Sure. [00:02:36] A guy, like a skinny like, who had a dog as a callback to Scooby-Doo. [00:02:42] Sure. [00:02:43] There would be a like hippie woman named like Flower or whatever. [00:02:48] Like, is she the love interest or is she the older matron? [00:02:51] No, she's not the older. [00:02:52] She's contemporary age, but she's like hemp covered. [00:02:55] She's not the love interest. [00:02:56] Okay. [00:02:57] I think the love interest would have to come from outside the shop. [00:03:01] Yes, I like that. [00:03:01] You know, like, I think. [00:03:02] Or perhaps that's initially, but then something happens and suddenly flower emerges as a new love interest and you've got the classic triangle. [00:03:12] That's true. [00:03:12] But and maybe he could even freak out about it and be like, oh my God, like, well, like, you know what should happen is he, he's, he's like been sort of like talking to this like woman who comes in to buy weed for her like grandma's glaucoma, but who has some reservations about, you know, people who are essentially drug dealers. [00:03:31] And he starts a romance with her, the main character. [00:03:33] But it's like a, it's like, it's kind of like tenuous. [00:03:36] It's not really like well-defined or anything. [00:03:38] And when he gets really high, he accidentally has a sensual massage with flower and he's like freaking out. [00:03:44] He's like, oh my God, like flower is going to kill me because I actually, I don't want, I'm going to have to like abandon her for this girl out there. [00:03:50] And then he talks to Flower about it and she's like, it's all good, like free love. [00:03:54] And it's like kind of a, you know, it brings it, you know, her sensibility into the show. [00:03:59] I see. [00:03:59] But we also need an older guy who manages it. [00:04:03] And then you need the guy who's just like kind of walks in randomly like once or twice during the episode. [00:04:09] Yeah. [00:04:09] Who sort of like everyone assumes lives, perhaps he lives in the like maintenance closet, but emerges once an episode and has a crazy nickname like Vornado. [00:04:23] Vornado. [00:04:25] Yeah, Vornado's good. [00:04:26] Or something. [00:04:27] Well, it could be, you know, it'd have to be flounder. [00:04:29] Yeah. [00:04:30] Vornado would be good because his real name is like Vortimer. [00:04:33] Or like, or like, oh, whoa, Flounder, you all right? [00:04:36] And he's like, oh, I've gotten the weed again. [00:04:39] And then he like goes back into the maintenance closet and they're like, yeah, he just lives there. [00:04:42] I think their main antagonist could be a Bevmo that's like opening next door or like the weed equivalent of like a Bevmo, like the big weed store, like the corporate weed store is moving in next door. [00:04:52] Yeah, sure. [00:04:53] Sure. [00:04:53] A little you've got male situation. [00:04:56] Yes, also a you've got male situation. [00:04:58] Shop around the corner.
