[00:00:04] Oh, no, what does it mean? [00:00:06] It's Virgo season. [00:00:09] How come y'all females acting like that because of the month is? [00:00:15] Wait, isn't it? [00:00:16] Wait, it's Libra season, no? [00:00:19] You're a Libra. [00:00:22] First of all, I don't know. [00:00:23] But your birthday is not in September. [00:00:24] No, it's not. [00:00:25] Well, America's birthday is not. [00:00:27] Oh, it's coming up soon, though. [00:00:28] We don't have to talk. [00:00:29] I don't need. [00:00:30] I guess it says it on the internet. [00:00:32] It does. [00:00:32] I get it. [00:00:33] My birthday. [00:00:34] Wait, why is your birthday on the internet? [00:00:36] What are you talking about? [00:00:37] Oh, because of like, yeah. [00:00:39] Yeah, my birthday is on the freaking internet. [00:00:41] It's because I get taken down. [00:00:43] I can't get it taken down. [00:00:44] I've tried to add nicknames anytime you want. [00:00:46] Here's what they do. [00:00:47] Okay, this is what you should do now. [00:00:49] Hey, Brace, when's your birthday? [00:00:51] October 4th. [00:00:53] Brace, when's your other birthday? [00:00:55] October 3th. [00:00:55] Are you trying to get somebody a real birthday? [00:00:57] October 13th. [00:00:58] No, I'm trying to get you to say multiple new birthdays so they add them like nickname. [00:01:01] I don't know how Wikipedia is. [00:01:03] My birthday is in November, and it's the worst day in November. [00:01:08] It's the day in November that you start thinking about, oh, my family's going to be so mean to me because I'm 35 and I'm mentally crazy and I can't, I'm all so depressed. [00:01:21] And my family's going to get mad at me at Thanksgiving because of my unorthodox political views that I learned on the internet that I'm insisting on telling them. [00:01:28] Here's my thing. [00:01:30] Why are you talking about that at the Thanksgiving table? [00:01:32] Thanksgiving is by far the worst holiday. [00:01:35] It's dog shit. [00:01:37] What? [00:01:37] Are you fucking kidding me? [00:01:39] No gifts. [00:01:41] And then bad, I don't like Thanksgiving food. [00:01:44] What? [00:01:45] Yeah, well, okay. [00:01:46] Hey, we have already talked about how I think you should come to my place for Thanksgiving. [00:01:50] So we've already talked about that one. [00:01:52] Two, you have never had my Thanksgiving. [00:01:54] Three, who says my Thanksgiving doesn't have gifts? [00:01:57] You wouldn't know because you've never been. [00:01:59] A gourd. [00:02:00] A gourd. [00:02:02] You could get more than a gourd. [00:02:04] Okay, yeah. [00:02:05] Also, it's a gourd. [00:02:06] Gourd. [00:02:07] Uh-huh. [00:02:08] Go on. [00:02:08] What's the fourth thing that you're yelling at me? [00:02:13] It's a great holiday. [00:02:38] Ladies and gentlemen, we could not think of an intro for the Peter Dale Scott guest. [00:02:43] Okay. [00:02:44] We couldn't think of an intro for the Peter Dale Scott guest episode. [00:02:48] So I guess we just talked about Thanksgiving. [00:02:50] Oh, my God. [00:02:51] You know why? [00:02:52] Okay. [00:02:52] You know what? [00:02:53] I'll tell him. [00:02:54] You know why we talked about Thanksgiving? [00:02:55] Why? [00:02:56] Because we were talking about how in our first take, it was 9-11. [00:03:01] And that's like a holiday, basically, something like that. [00:03:03] That's where it went. [00:03:04] We went from A to B to C. I'm just mapping it up for people. [00:03:07] The truth of it. [00:03:08] The red string on the board. [00:03:10] Summer's over. [00:03:12] Summer's over. [00:03:13] It's 9-11. [00:03:14] The long winter begins. [00:03:15] Yeah. [00:03:16] Welcome to my name is Brace. [00:03:20] I'm Liz. [00:03:22] Producer is Young Chomsky, and this has been Truanon. [00:03:27] Episode over. [00:03:29] Ladies and gentlemen, we've been recording for, I mean, I can know you can see the little number on the little right-hand side there next to the 15-second skip mark that you do whenever Liz starts yelling at me. [00:03:39] And you can see how long this episode is. [00:03:42] So you might understand. [00:03:43] I'm feeling a little freaky right now. [00:03:45] Yeah, a little loopy. [00:03:47] We've been talking for a long time, which means we should get right into it. [00:03:51] We got a big episode today because I do want to say, actually, though, before we say anymore, don't you little piggies worry. [00:04:02] We've got a lot of 9-11 content coming. [00:04:04] This is the 20th anniversary of 9-11. [00:04:08] And to get ready for this episode, I was actually re-listening to some clips of our six-part 9-11 series with Ben, whose last name you'll find out on the episode as he's coming out. [00:04:23] It's his big coming out episode. [00:04:26] But I was listening to it and apparently, whoa, during one of the episodes, I said, when you think 9-11, think Truanon, which at the time, I think we all kind of agreed was maybe a bad move. [00:04:40] But, you know, now I got to say, maybe not so bad. [00:04:43] Yeah, that advice about not associating yourself with acts of terror, I really do want to take to heart, considering that I, you know, regretfully did go through all of my four years, six years at Yale as the Lockerbie guy. [00:04:57] And I apologize for that.
