True Anon Truth Feed - [PREVIEW] Episode 146: Mandalay Aired: 2021-03-25 Duration: 04:58 === Steven Paddock Episode (03:15) === [00:00:00] Hey, we just recorded a four-hour episode, but we forgot to do an intro and we need a place to put the music. [00:00:04] So here's the Steven Paddock episode. [00:00:29] It would be so annoying if I did an intro like, ding, ding, floor one. [00:00:35] Ding ding. [00:00:36] Floor two. [00:00:37] Ding dinger news. [00:00:38] All the way to the floor 32. [00:00:40] Exactly. [00:00:40] Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. [00:00:42] You should do like a shitty like serial intro where it's like, you know, Janice Munch thought that she was going to win some slot machines, that she was going to maybe call her estranged husband who worked at the battery clinic in Lamont, Georgia. [00:00:59] She didn't imagine she would be killed. [00:01:02] And then just do an entire, like in every episode about a different person who got shot. [00:01:06] Yeah. [00:01:06] Well, there are, I believe, 451 of them. [00:01:11] So going to be a long season. [00:01:13] Yeah, no, you get, you get Stitcher to pay by the episode. [00:01:17] Ladies and gentlemen, your elevator is here. [00:01:19] There's an L bracket at the door and you cannot get in. [00:01:22] No, that didn't make any sense. [00:01:26] I feel, you know what I have to say, as I've been researching this like a mad woman for really what feels like my entire life. [00:01:35] This episode that we're about to do feels like a return to form. [00:01:38] Like we're getting back in the weeds. [00:01:40] You know, I'm reading all about lizard brains. [00:01:42] I'm reading about psychotropic CIA weapons. [00:01:47] Brace, at one point, you texted me this weekend asking if you needed to go over Area 51 stuff. [00:01:51] Like it's all here. [00:01:52] It's all I almost went to Vegas this weekend. [00:01:55] You asked me if you wanted to go to Vegas. [00:01:57] Yeah. [00:01:59] Can I come? [00:02:00] I miss it. [00:02:00] I fucking miss it. [00:02:02] You've been to one of the sites that this... [00:02:03] Hold on, hold on, hold on, hold on. [00:02:05] Let's do... [00:02:06] Let's do the introductions. [00:02:07] My name, of course, Mandalay Brace, aka Prince of Paddock. [00:02:11] I am joined by. [00:02:13] Liz, hi. [00:02:15] And. [00:02:16] Hello, I am Felix Speederman. [00:02:20] And of course, producer Young Chomsky. [00:02:22] The podcast is called True of Don, Port of Call, Las Vegas. [00:02:26] Liz? [00:02:27] Yes. [00:02:28] Oh, I was figuring you said something right there. [00:02:30] Oh, okay. [00:02:31] Hi. [00:02:32] We've been, okay, so I have to say, a lot of people have been asking us for this episode since we started the podcast. [00:02:40] Yes. [00:02:41] Basically, they were like, okay, this Epstein stuff is interesting. [00:02:43] Okay, it's kind of cute how you guys talk about stuff that maybe is, you know, some people like to hear about CIA stuff, Nazis, whatever. [00:02:50] When are we getting the Paddock episode? [00:02:52] Well, today you're getting the Paddock episode. [00:02:54] We had to bring in My personal gambling mentor, somebody who has walked me through every casino from the ones in the deep desert of the southwest that have unpronounceable names, all the way to the ones that bands play in Atlantic City, Felix Biederman, here to join us on this journey to Mandalay Bay. === House Always Wins? (01:42) === [00:03:15] Thank you for having me. [00:03:16] I mean, this is like, obviously, this is the thing we're talking about. [00:03:22] It's pretty open and shut. [00:03:23] There's nothing like really that weird about it or anything. [00:03:26] It's just like it happened, and you know, we just got to post like the mental health line. [00:03:33] If you have mental health, call this phone number from the logic song. [00:03:36] Exactly. [00:03:37] But the real story here is, you know, gambling. [00:03:42] Yeah. [00:03:42] I consider myself sort of the Jedi of gambling, whereas the perpetrator of this crime was more like the dark Vader of gambling. [00:03:50] Absolutely. [00:03:51] The thing about gambling is if you do it enough, the odds are that you will win. [00:03:56] Like, yeah, that's what you want to work, right? [00:03:58] Yeah, you have to start really young. [00:04:00] And that's the problem. [00:04:02] Paddock started kind of late in life. [00:04:04] And he realized he did the numbers and he was a numbers guy that if he gambled, kept gambling, it would be probably 20 more years until he made several million dollars back. [00:04:12] So yeah, that's the thing. [00:04:14] They want to get you out of the casino. [00:04:16] That's why they give you all that soda. [00:04:17] So you have to go to the bathroom and we'll stop gambling. [00:04:21] But the thing is, they don't expect someone who's been drinking soda their entire life. [00:04:26] Exactly. [00:04:26] And Paddock. [00:04:27] Like me or Brace. [00:04:28] Yeah. [00:04:28] And Paddock. [00:04:30] And yeah, if you're like pacing yourself with your sodas, you could stay in there, you know, 15, 16 hours. [00:04:37] And you are eventually going to walk away with the house. [00:04:40] The house always loses. [00:04:42] Yeah, people always think the phrase is the house always wins, but that's apocryphal. [00:04:46] One of the first gambling quotes by Sophocles is the house always loses in the end. [00:04:52] Have you spent time in Vegas? [00:04:54] No. [00:04:56] I've been to Vegas multiple times.
