Hey guys, well I'm here with my favorite doctor, Dr. Mark Sherwood here today.
And guess what I just got?
It is a giant box of a Kingdom Crunch cereal.
His new line of cereal called Kingdom Crunch, and this particular flavor is Asay Bowl.
And let me tell you, it is so so so so so tasty and delicious.
But besides from it being so tasty, I have Dr. Sherwood here to tell us why it's so good for you too and why it's so amazing and should be in everyone's cover.
So what's up with this incredible cereal that you sent me that I can't stop eating, Dr. Sherwood?
Well, many times when we hear the word cereal, we think unhealthy, poisonous chemical carcinogen.
Shouldn't be eating it.
That is quite the opposite.
High protein, zero added sugars, organic ingredients, and healthy fat such as medium trained triglycerides.
Deanna, that should be in everyone's cupboard in every child's mouth every day.
That is truly healthy and life-giving for kids.
I recommend it all the way.
Not because I made it, but because it solves a real problem in today's world.
I am I gave it to my son Maverick, who also loves cereal, but I don't want him to eat cereal except for this.
This is really really good.
It's really tasty.
It actually tastes like real asay in your mouth.
Um it's got it's packed full of all these nutrients and no sugar, right?
No added sugar.
That's insane.
How is it so sweet then?
Yeah, we use uh stevia.
Okay.
All of which get this are diabetic friendly.
They won't raise blood sugar, which is another benefit.
I've had people ask me, can I eat that if I'm diabetic?
Yes, you can, and you can fix your diabetes.
Yay!
Awesome.
Well, this is so good.
Where can everybody find this Kingdom Crunch cereal?
They can find it at Sherwood.tv forward slash shots and use your discount code to promo code shots.
Romo code SHOX, and they can save some money off there and support your program.
All right, go to Sherwood.tv promo code shots and pick up this delicious Kingdom Crunch cereal today,
just yesterday, we had the tragic shooting of Charlie Kirk, the legendary conservative and Christian influencer Charlie Kirk, who is shot magically in the middle of a rally at a Utah college.
It's just totally unbelievable and surreal.
And today on 9-11, we are mourning that loss.
And everybody is just in disbelief.
If you miss this, this is sort of the shot heard round the world that happened and killed him yesterday at this rally.
Roll the clip.
So do you know how many transgender Americans have been mass shooters over the last 10 years?
too many Now five is a lot, right?
I'm gonna give you some credit.
Do you imagine do you know how many mass shooters there have been in America over the last 10 years?
Counting or not counting gang violence.
Oh shit.
Oh shit.
Get down, get down, get down.
What the fuck?
Now, what's interesting is that the shooter is apparently still on the loose.
Nobody knows where he is or who he is yet, but he was such a skilled and precise sniper that he was able to go and bypass all the security measures that they had there, all the security guards, everything, go on to the top of a building and get a perfect shot, a perfect view, a perfect shot that fatally killed him.
I mean, it just kind of doesn't make sense, right?
Uh, this seems like it absolutely had to have been planned and coordinated by higher-up individuals and organizations.
And everybody is talking about it.
What's even more concerning and kind of obvious and sadly not that surprising is that it appears that perhaps the reason why he was shot, the motive for shooting and killing Charlie Kirk was that he was one of Israel's greatest allies.
I mean, he was like an Israel talking head.
It might as well be Bibi Netanyahu.
And all of his posts and all of his, you know, his uh his speeches, he always talked about Israel, Israel, Israel.
You know, uh, we have to do everything to protect our greatest ally.
And if you're a Christian, you gotta support Israel.
I mean, he truly was one of great uh of Israel's greatest allies and talking heads.
Up until about a month ago.
So about a month ago, he started turning a little bit and questioning Israel publicly and what they've been doing, especially in Gaza.
And this was when the tables started to turn.
So about a month ago, here's a clip of Charlie Kirk on a show and noticing and talking about, you know, what's going on here and asking some important questions that we've all been asking for the last two years.
Roll this clip.
I've been to Israel many times.
The whole country's a fortress.
When I first heard this story, I still have the same gut instinct that I did initially.
I find this very hard to believe.
I've been to that Gaza border.
You cannot go 10 feet without running into a 19-year-old with an AR-15 or an automatic machine gun that is an IDF soldier, right?
The whole country is surveilled.
And so, so let me just let me just kind of go through this.
We don't talk about Israeli politics very often, and most Americans don't know this.
The last nine months, Israel was on the brink of civil war.
It's not an exaggeration.
This judicial stuff, there were pro there were hundreds of thousands of Israelis taking to the streets because Bibi Netanyahu is basically redefining the Israeli constitution.
That's not an exaggeration, right?
He said the judicial branch has too much power.
There were protests planned this week against Netanyahu, where they anticipated tens of thousands of people to take to the streets.
That's all gone, Patrick.
Netanyahu now has an emergency government and a mandate to lead.
I'm not, I'm not willing to say to go so far that saying that Netanyahu knew or there was intelligence here, but I think some questions need to be asked.
Was there a stand-down order?
Was there a stand-down order?
Six hours?
I don't believe it.
Israel's society size New Jersey.
When I took a helicopter ride from Jerusalem to the Gaza border, it's 45 minutes.
Six hours.
They're live streaming the killing of Jews.
Was did somebody in the government say stand down?
That is a legitimate non-conspiracy question.
The whole country is the IDF.
The whole country is.
And you're trying to tell me that they're going to concerts and kibbutzes and schools and by reports.
So here Charlie Clerk is clearly asking some questions and raising some suspicions and perhaps making a little bit of a break from what he typically uh stands for Israel.
Here's another clip.
This is him on Megan Kelly.
This is him on the Megan Kelly show.
And this one set off even more alarm bells, which we'll talk about in just a minute.
But this is very concerning.
He's, you know, him and Megan are openly talking about how this allegiance, this almost blind faith and allegiance to Israel might need to start being questioned a little bit more.
Check this clip out of him on Megan Kelly.
You and I are both supporters of Israel and have defended Israel since the beginning of this conflict and spoken out about the anti-Semitism that is erupted on these college campuses many, many, many, many times.
And something's happening, though, with this whole debate that is really bothering me, and I wonder if you're feeling it too.
So I I mean, I genuinely believe you'd be hard pressed to find somebody in the public eye who's been as outspoken a defender of not every move Israel's taken in the war, but of Israel's right to defend itself and of the just backward awfulness that we've been seeing on college campuses in the backlash against American Jews.
Then yours truly.
I mean, I have been at the pointy end of the spear on this, and I completely agree with that.
And I it was all heartfelt, and it remains heartfelt.
Yes.
However, however, I my contention here is that some in the pro-Israel camp are so knee-jerk about calling you anti-Semitic or getting deeply offended if you say anything that doesn't align with their narrative that it undermines their own cause.
And I have to tell you, I find it very irritating.
Um, because I do feel like some of us have earned the right to have some credibility on the subject of Israel and don't want to be called those names when we have some mild pushback on some of the overreaches.
Whether it's, you know, what whether they're winning or losing the propaganda war right now, and my contention is they've begun to lose it.
And I realize it's propaganda coming at us from Hamas, but they they're their numbers have turned here in America.
They've turned, not so much with Republicans, a little bit with Republicans, but but completely with the Democrat Party and with independence.
They have shifted mightily from at least double digits highs to single-digit lows now with it with when it comes to approval.
And also with respect to you and I speculated about this at the turning point event, whether the possibility of Jeffrey Epstein possibly being a Mossad agent or asset or affiliated with, that's been turned around on me too, to you must be anti-Semitic.
What the hell?
That's such bullshit.
The same people who say you can criticize Israel, that's fine.
We won't call you anti-Semitic if you criticize Israel.
Now turn around immediately and say, You're anti-Semitic for even raising that.
I completely reject that.
And I raise this to as a pushback against my friends on that particular strain of the aisle to watch it because you don't want to alienate people who are openly your friends by going nuts in your crackdowns on mild pushback on anything related to Israel.
Now you take it.
I'm so I'm I'm so glad you brought this up.
And I would second that, Megan.
I think I have a bulletproof resume showing my defense of Israel, both on campus, on social media, to to great, you know, let's just say mockery and scorn at times, where I, because I believe it, right?
I I believe in the scriptural land rights given to Israel.
I believe in fulfillment of prophecy.
And again, I'm not a theologian, but I'm a Christian.
My life was changed In Israel, the spiritual energy is so amazing there.
I I want them to win.
I've said that repeatedly.
And however, Megan, you're hitting on something very potent and important.
Now, let me first say I don't want to judge an entire group because there's been many people in the per Israel world that have been very sweet, very kind, very nuanced, very Charlie.
You know, you're with us, you don't have to agree all the time.
However, and I and I will say this the behavior by a lot, both privately and publicly are pushing people like you and me away.
Not like we're gonna be pro Hamas, not like we're gonna, but we're like, honestly, the way you are treating me is so repulsive.
I have text messages, Megan, calling me an anti-Semite.
I am learning big little Hebrew and writing a book on the Shabbat.
I honor the Shabbat, literally the Jewish Sabbath.
I visit Israel and fight for it.
There's another article out in the Times of Israel today.
I could read it on air.
I was just reading before I got on.
Charlie, what are you doing?
Like, why are you what am I doing?
I'm sorry.
Like, let's just take a step back here.
Like, I'm an American citizen.
Yes, I want Israel to win.
Yes, I'm a Christian.
But like the sum of the mess, and you saw you've seen how I've been treated, Megan, by some, not all, by some.
No, it's very irritating.
It's been so unfair.
They were coming after you after a turning point for among other things.
So you had Dave Smith there.
Dave Smith isn't allowed to criticize Israel.
What both sides are the Israeli side was a lot of crazy.
No, you're not allowed to.
It's even worse than that.
Again, I just want to repeat for the fifth time.
I love Israel.
I want Israel to win.
But my moral character is now being put into question, Megan.
All of a sudden, like I host a person that I deb I moderate the debate of my right.
And I give equal time to Josh Hammer, equal time to a pro-Israel advocate.
And my moral character is being put into question.
And so I I just I think it's a hyper paranoid, like we're just gonna try to we're gonna just stamp out everything type type of practice, but it goes to the point where if, for example, if I I have less ability sometimes online to criticize the Israeli government without backlash than actual Israelis do.
And that's really, really weird, isn't it, Megan?
That's not right.
And what's interesting is he says this I have less ability to criticize the Israeli government than actual Israelis do.
And that's really, really weird.
That's creepy, right?
It's like they needed him to be a talking head for Israel.
And they had this, you know, uh partnership where he had to be one of their puppets.
He had to step in line with them.
Some of the words that he said was very were very concerning.
It was like he, you know, he had to have this fierce allegiance.
He had to be in lockstep with them.
And interestingly enough, right at that time, a month ago, Harrison Smith, the host of the InfoWar short show, the uh the morning journal said this.
I'm not gonna name names, but I was told by someone close to Charlie Kirk that Charlie thinks Israel will kill him if he turns against him.
This is wild.
This is not even a month ago.
This was on August 13th.
He posted this, and now, of course, Harrison Smith is going viral because of this and reposting this, but I just want to repeat it because it's so eerie.
I'm not gonna name names, but I was told by someone close to Charlie Kirk that Charlie thinks Israel will kill him if he turns against him.
Gosh, that is so so crazy.
He said, I noticed during the Charlie Kirk interview with Megan Kelly last month that Charlie seemed scared.
I thought he was maybe scared of losing his position, but I was also talking about it the next day when I really think he was feared for his fearing for his life, and uh a source close to him said the same thing.
He was fearing for his life.
What in the freak?
That is crazy.
And then he just gets off by a precision bullet.
Unbelievable.
Now I'm just gonna go through a couple other, you know, social clips that have been floating on social media and kind of just go down this together because it's so eerie and bizarre with him asking questions, and then all of a sudden getting Assassinated.
Here's another clip.
It said, or another quote.
It says, uh, Charlie Kirk reportedly denied an invitation from uh Netanyahu to visit Israel just two weeks before his death.
So apparently Netanyahu reached out, said, Come to Israel.
Maybe he was one of those influencers that they were paying to fly over there, and that was just two weeks before his death yesterday.
Very weird.
I think Charlie Kirk was he was starting to connect the dots on Epstein, and the assassination was clearly a professional hit.
These two things are certainly connected.
Now here is another connection.
Here is another bizarre thing.
Here's a clip of Charlie talking about how Epstein was a Massad agent.
He was working for Israel.
He was a Mossad agent, and this again was a couple weeks ago.
Check this clip out.
...lies that Epstein with his little friend Ghislaine and Ghislaine's father, Robert Maxwell, who is obviously a spy of the Israeli intelligence agencies, but there was something else going on here.
Epstein was not some sort of whiz kid hedge fund manager.
Epstein was playing a part.
Epstein was a LARP.
Epstein was cast for a specific role, and he played it really well.
The sweatpants and the Harvard jacket, the kind of disheveled hair, looking as if he was so smart and above the clouds that he was doing advanced mathematic equations on the back of napkins.
But if you actually go into some of the videos of people that met with Epstein at the time, they said he was awfully unimpressive when it came to finance and markets and economics.
And it's nothing new that if you're in the Intel agencies, you want to try and get as much blackmail on powerful people as possible.
Easy, not hard.
And this is no longer just speculation.
First of all, the evidence that shows that Epstein was a creation of either Mossad, Israeli intelligence, American intelligence, Saudi intelligence, or maybe he was just a hired gun.
Maybe he was just the guy that countries would go to and park a couple hundred million bucks and say, hey, can you get one of the members of the royal family with a 13-year-old so we can get them to do what we want to do?
Members of Congress are actively being blackmailed.
The Epstein playbook is being used on a daily basis.
Jeffrey Epstein was not a financier.
He was not a hedge fund manager.
Jeffrey Epstein was a key player in a multi-decade blackmail operation against the most powerful people on the planet.
And here again is Harrison Smith about a month ago, less than a month ago, and he's talking about the challenges that Charlie Kirk was facing confronting issues about Israel.
And how the source close to him said that he's literally in danger for his life.
Check this out with Harrison Smith.
And you'll see this as we go through some of these videos.
There is this permanent condition of fear.
There is an underlying sense, especially amongst the Charlie Kirks of the sector.
I guess walking on eggshells would be a way of putting it, but more like walking through a minefield.
That they're so scared of saying the wrong thing.
They're so scared of stepping on a landmine, of expressing something in not quite the correct way, and having their lives destroyed for it.
And that is a deliberately fostered condition.
That's because they've been threatened or because the threat is implicit.
That there is no let the punishment fit the crime when it comes to certain topics.
Right?
So that's how they act.
And they act like they're really carefully stepping around uh a bunch of bombs, and it's just sad and pathetic because they know the truth and they just won't say the truth.
And what we're seeing is people struggling to Thank you.
Struggling to deal with this because um see how to try to explain this.
You've got all you've got the outrage about Israel is so overwhelming now that people recognize we cannot sustain our reputation.
We can't continue to act as an authority if we continue to be sycophantically pro-Israel.
So we we have to change because the arguments that we used to make aren't working anymore.
The names we used to call people aren't working anymore.
So we got up.
We gotta start talking bad about Israel just to just to maintain our legitimacy on the right.
That's the way that the wind is blowing.
Thanks, folks like yours truly, and uh and others who have been outspoken about this and upfront about this for a very long time.
At the same time, the structure still exists of the landmine field.
They're still operating in a system that will destroy you for becoming a threat to Israel.
So how do they manage this?
How do they walk this tightrope?
It's an interesting question, and they're all struggling with it.
Here's something else, and the just and it just the plot keeps getting thicker from Syrian girl.
Charlie Kirk was attacked by Israel supporters last month and labeled an anti-Semite, gosh, this is crazy for defending free speech.
So he's starting to about a month ago break away a little bit from Trump and the Israel's stance that that you know Trump has been just on this mission to dismantle free speech and um control any anti-Semitic behavior and actions and words and crack down on it.
Um he is called an anti-Semite for it.
Megan and Charlie, they cur they push back against Israel supporters, demanding their unconditional report uh support.
And Charlie Kirk splits with Trump on anti-Semitism crackdown, and he warns that free speech rights are under attack if we continue to do that, which is true.
So was he breaking too far away from Trump?
Was he breaking too far away from Netanyahu and Israel in their uh diehard Israel stance?
It's so so strange.
Um there's a lot to unpack here, a lot to unpack.
And it's very disturbing because Charlie Kirk was very young, only 31 years old, a young father of two beautiful children with a young wife that he's leaving behind.
And of course, they just don't care.
They don't care, they don't, you know, no life is too valuable enough for them to sacrifice.
Wow.
I'm just so I'm just so kind of broken up about this because it's so bizarre, and he was such a public figure.
And then here's here's another aspect to it.
Is it possibly a big distraction?
Because if everybody's talking about Charlie Kirk and the wall-to-wall news is Charlie Kirk and the assassination, what are they not talking about?
Well, Epstein and the Epstein files and Trump uh being associated with the Epstein Files.
Look over here, don't look over there.
Look over here.
Who killed Charlie Kirk?
Don't look over there.
Israel did 9-11, and Israel and Trump are part of the Epstein Files and the Epstein cover-up.
You know, just when the pressure was mounting even more for Trump and you know, having this cover-up be exposed with Epstein and having more files be released, right?
Uh Marjorie Taylor Green and uh and Thomas Massey, they've been they've been ramping up the pressure to to release these files, right, for the world to see and pressuring Trump.
Now all of a sudden, Charlie Kirk gets assassinated tragically, and no one's talking about it, no one's pressuring Trump anymore.
He kind of gets let off the hook.
And so does Israel.
And interesting, another interesting part to this is Netanyahu was the first person to announce that Charlie Kirk was dead.
The first person, the first world leader, even before Trump.
Apparently, according to timestamps, it was about an hour before even President Trump announced Charlie Kirk was dead.
What the F. That is eerie.
It's always him behind everything.
It's so bizarre.
And then here's another thing.
Some private jet to took off from a private airport 12 minutes from the shooting with its radar illegally turned off 20 minutes after the assassination.
What is this going on?
So check out this video of this private jet taken off from a private airport 12 minutes from the shooting with his radar illegally turned off 20 minutes after the assassination.
And of course, nobody can find the assassination, the assassinator, right?
Where is where is he?
Nobody can find it.
And nobody's talking about 9-11 today either.
No one's talking about 9-11.
So check out this clip of the private jet.
888 Kilo, contact the 4-2-126-1-800.
4-4-3-2-0-3.
You can run, but you know it's sending.
At the bottom of the grave, you'll dig in.
When the truth comes out.
Yeah, you know, this is just the beginning.
Crumble down when the truth comes out Crumble down when the truth comes out Oh!
Oh!
Oh!
Lights crumbled down when the truth comes out You can try to...
Dude, here's your man, it's 31 years old.
You can eat!
It's 3 years...
Young...
Dude, here's your man.
It's 31 years old.
Dude, here's your man.
It's 31 years old.
I'm going to go.
So what's going on, folks?
I think it's pretty obvious that that was to send a message, a very hope high profile, damaging message that if you speak out against Israel, if you maybe deny Netanyahu a visit to Israel, if you're one of these influencers that he's tapped on this Israel tour to,
you know, be propaganda puppets for Israel and spread the good word about Israel and the Jews, and you deny that invitation, or if you if you don't exactly speak in lops lockstep with their message and their narrative, you could be off just like Charlie Kirk.
No one is spared and no one is safe from it.
It just makes me so so sick.
It's it I think it was really a message to silence everybody.
Silence and distract.
What do you guys think?
Fire up the comments right now.
Are you disgusted?
Are you are you sad?
Are you shocked?
Out of all the people, I wouldn't think that somebody as high profile of Charlie as Charlie Kirk would have had this happen to them, especially because he was very pro-Israel and pro-Zionist for so long.
I mean, he was probably one of the worst puppets for them.
And then he just started questioning and noticing just a little bit.
You know, you'd think this would happen to somebody else that questioned and noticed very publicly and boldly for the last couple of years.
But Charlie Kirk, why, why him?
Why do you really think it was him?
And what do you think is gonna come from this?
I think this is a very sad and dark, evil week.
And I don't think we're gonna move on from this so fast.
I think this is gonna, there's gonna be some measures taken.
I also think another agenda could be because he's so you know, a beloved conservative figure, whether you like him or hate him, he's a conservative figure, and he was shot at a rally and killed.
So could this be the uniting um event that the left and deep state are hoping that will finally bring the right on board for greater gun control, right?
Are they moving us towards surrendering our second amendment and pushing us to greater gun control?
Because hey, Charlie Kirk, it happened to Charlie Kirk.
It happened to someone on the right.
So could this be the catalyst for the right finally saying, all right, all right, leftist, let's get some gun control going here.
I don't know, but that's another potential part of this agenda.
Fire up your comments here.
Let me know what you think.
I am very disturbed by all this and still really in shock.
We'll be right back to talk about this even more and unwrap some of the more layers within us, and we'll be right back right after these messages.

Welcome everybody back to Shots Fired.
Well, unfortunately, I think everybody has heard the shot fired heard around the world yesterday with Charlie Kirk, the legendary Charlie Kirk, who was the incredible co-founder of Turning Point.
I mean, we all know Charlie Kirk.
Some people loved him, some people loathed him.
But for better or for worse, I mean, he was a very public political figure and very influential and impactful figure.
And he was giving a speech yesterday at a Utah University, and in the middle of a speech, just similar to what happened with Trump last year, he was shot and killed fatally within just a few hours.
This happened very quickly.
I'm still trying to kind of process everything that happened because it seems so surreal.
But if you happen to miss this, here's one of those shocking videos.
Now, what's really sad is that he's only 31.
I mean, this is a young man, and he's a father.
He has a father of two young children, a young, beautiful wife, Bright future ahead of him, so influential, especially with young people.
And in the middle of this, you know, he was actually giving a talk on political violence when this happened.
So this, you know, again, it just feels so surreal, it feels unreal.
Um, and here to weigh in on this and and really unpack this is our favorite doctor, but who's also a former police officer and SWAT team member, uh, Dr. Mark Sherwood coming in to weigh in on this horrific tragedy.
Dr. Sherwood, um, wow, what are your initial thoughts on this tragedy of Charlie Kirk being pronounced dead this week so suddenly and so young?
Well, like you and everybody else, uh, shock, it's sadness, it's grief, it's uh how do we get here to this point?
And why keep happening?
You know, all those questions ran through my mind as well.
And uh from being, as we were talking before going live today, thinking about this thing yesterday, you know.
I I've I've seen evil, I looked in the eye, and I've seen people do this in front of me, and I've seen murders and lives in like that, and uh it changes the way you see things, but when you see and experience evil that we've experienced together as the world this last 24 hours, it it brings about the reality that um, you know, like my shirt says today, we need hope.
And it's hard to even hang on to that hope, the end at a time like this because you know, where does hope go when your heart is broken?
Yeah, and uh that's the hard part that I struggle with is you know, how do you how do you encourage people when evil is so uh rampant and ubiquitous right now?
Yeah, and I want to I want to talk about that in a few minutes for sure, because that is something that I think a lot of people are pessimistic about right now.
People have gotten a lot of you know, very cynical and understandably so in this really evil world that we live in.
It's feels like every time you know there seems to be a ray of hope, there's more evil.
Yeah.
Um, but first I also want to talk about you know the police aspect of this and how this possibly could have even happened.
You know, how he was able to get this uh a weapon in at this big rally and then be able to shoot it so clearly and and have no security there or watching or something.
I mean, which is it's interesting that all the you know the crowd got down really low.
I mean, they reacted very fast.
But what are your thoughts on this from you know, working in law enforcement?
Well, obviously, security was lax.
You know, the whole concept of this and other events like this should have changed the way we do events, you know, and that makes me sad.
But when you look at the security of an event, you have to think about you know, the crowd, where are points of entry for people with weapons?
It was there any security to check for weapons.
Was there any metal detectors?
Did they have any perimeter security?
Were there any law enforcement uniform persons on duty?
Uh were they on the stay on the stage?
Were they watching the crowd?
Were were they on surveillance?
Um, were there any snipers up, you know, looking for, you know, other persons with weapons.
And and I highly doubt in a situation like this, there were snipers there, but that's what you would do in a as we saw in uh Butler, Pennsylvania with President Trump, that the snipers were in position, but they they didn't sweep the top of the building.
So there's a lot of discussions with this.
In this case, this is a uh if there was security, there was a security failure, no question about it.
Exactly.
And you know, he's not, of course, he's not the president of the United States, but he is he's on the level of this at this point of influence um that he should have a lot of protection, that he should have a lot of security, a whole security team and everything, because there are a lot of people that want to attack him and people like him.
There's a lot of a lot of people who want to make a point, set an agenda, you know, have maybe the right wing on board with gun control.
There's a lot of different motives that could potentially be behind this shooting and which cost a very important life.
But that's uh it's just incredible to me how he was able to get through.
Well, one thing I find is fascinating as I I remember meeting uh Charlie one time in uh Phoenix, Arizona at one of our events we had This last few years.
Um, nice guy, humble guy.
But I heard him speak that day and I've heard him speak numerous times before after that.
Um, he does not speak in a way that's condescending, um, conveys disrespect.
He doesn't raise his voice, he doesn't call people names.
So he doesn't speak in a way that would arouse anger in the way we think anger's aroused.
Yeah.
And that's really interesting to point out because we know in the political arena, that's not the case.
You know, we got calling and we got juvenile behavior.
Uh Charlie exhibited himself from what I saw in a very mature manner, he would debate people, but he was always respectful.
Say, you know, he didn't raise his voice to people.
I say all that to say this that when we have a society like this today, where we can't disagree with people without bringing in hatred, uh the concept of America is gone, literally, because America is a boiling pot of uh of a variety of opinions, beliefs, and that's what made America great.
At this moment in time, when we can't do that, that results in America's downfall.
And and then that's what's heartbreaking here with me, because I I think that um even in that time as I looked at that clip from yesterday, it was sent, and even the topic of conversation was not inflammatory.
He doesn't speak in a way that's like that.
So I I find it very sad from that, but this is a this should be an alarm bell for all of us.
It this should change the way we do business, sadly, and it will change the way we do business forever.
Absolutely.
And I also have to wonder psychologically, what is the effect that this has on millions of Americans and the viewers because this was caught on camera, and now millions, if not more, people watched a fatal shooting of a man, a political figure, or just a a a man, a public figure, and was killed on TV.
I mean, we've now seen it.
Children, adults have watched this death.
Is there trauma that's gonna be caused to people when they watch this?
I mean, what are the kind of physical or emotional, spiritual, psychological effects that Americans or anyone who's watched this might be feeling?
Well, I think unfortunately, it's not as much as I think it should be.
And and I've got a reason for saying that because you look back and you can see the desensitization desensitization of violence with video games, with with TV, with movies, and you see this gore.
Yeah, and it it almost takes death to a make-believe level, and it almost takes it from a heinous, sad, horrible thing to something that's just part of life.
You got at the at the touch of a finger right now, you've got those type of images right now alive for people to see worldwide, repeat it over and over again.
You got kids that can see those things.
You got the whole world that sees those things in video games.
And to me, it's the it that's not okay.
Yeah, you know, we under the freedom of information, the freedom of speech kind of concept, we've allowed these freedoms to just destroy us from the inside out.
You know, we don't guard our hearts, we don't guard our minds, we don't guard our our visual, our ears anymore.
And because of that, you have this massive desensitization of this type of stuff, and so I think it should be shocking to people, but unfortunately, in my experience as law enforcement, you know, I've done that for a long time before this career.
I don't see it's gonna shock people that much.
They're gonna show people, you know, and I'm like, and the news is gonna say, be careful, this can be uh sensitive, and they're gonna show it.
I'm like, my God, I mean, what kind of society is that?
Yeah, exactly.
And they're gonna show it on repeat again and again and through viral videos.
It's really sick.
Um now I want to ask you more about you know the spiritual aspect of it, because I think uh so many people right now they're living in fear and they're living in doom and gloom, and trying to get ahead with their lives, because I think we can all admit times in general.
I think there was just a happier vibration.
I think there was more love in the world maybe 20, 30 or 40 years ago, and now It just seems like there's so many evil things that happen all the time.
And uh when something like this happens, I feel like it people have an instinct to think, where is God through all this?
Has he abandoned us?
What's going on?
Where is he?
Show his face more and lose a little bit of hope.
So what what might you say to those people?
Well, I'd say I've asked the same question myself last couple days.
Honestly, God, I really have, and I'm not saying that to say, you know, I've got it all figured out because I don't.
I get very angry, I get very frustrated, I get very sad, I cry like everybody else, you know, and it and I don't apologize for that because you know I'm a real guy that feels the pain of people.
I feel it every day in my office here, and it really does.
Yeah, and it rips your heart out, you know, and and I say that because I ask myself, where is God in this?
You know, what is going on and why can't we get this right?
But I do know this.
I go back and look at history, and history tells me always uh an unraveling of the mystery of why I can't figure it out because there was a dude named Jesus that walked on the earth, and you know, he didn't really hurt anybody.
He kind of talked in peace, he kind of debated people, kind of like Charlie Kirk was doing.
Yeah.
Never meant to hurt anybody.
And yet we publicly killed him too.
And I say we because I think we all have a hand in this.
I really, really do.
And I'm not trying to be degrading anybody or insulting, but we all have a hand in this.
We all can do a better job.
Uh this is not about Republicans, this is not about Democrats, this is not about guns, this is not about no guns.
This is about the heart of mankind.
And the best thing we can do as a nation right now is we could say, you know, God forgive us because we've gotten way off.
And I would love to see this is me talking, you know, for whatever it's worth.
You know, I'd like to see Congress.
You know, instead of yelling at each other and stomping at each other and sitting on one side of the aisle, I'd like to see the aisle broken down.
At least for once.
And maybe they join hands and maybe they ask God as a whole to forgive us for the the way we've been morons and and really put ourselves above God as a nation.
Yeah.
One nation under God, we've we've done it this way.
And realize that lives are more important than politics.
Lives are more important than getting your way.
Lives are more important than being right all the time.
We gotta learn to love again.
And I think that to get there requires us to realize there's something bigger than us, you know, somebody bigger than us.
And maybe we all need to realize again that God made us all this earth not to hate each other, but to love each other.
Yes.
And uh that's perhaps the way we find at least a glimmer of this thing called hope.
Mm-hmm.
Yeah, I mean, if we could reach more on the other side of the aisle and just try to come together over this violence, not with something like you know, gun control or something like that, but it's just like you know, what how do we even get to that evil mindset to begin with?
People have forgotten about the Ten Commandments, people have forgotten about God.
People, if some if people really know God and Jesus, they wouldn't be doing these things.
There wouldn't be school shootings, there wouldn't be, you know, shootings, there wouldn't be so much murder and evil in the world.
And I wish that that was pushed more in schools and curriculum, and you know, just normal signs in your neighborhood.
That should be the message, really.
That should be the main, the primary message is getting people back to a relationship with God.
It should be, and and I think it goes back to this idea from a broad perspective of who's really in charge.
If we can all submit ourselves to God who's in charge, you know, that's the key we're talking about, right?
But for the last 30 years, I know at least there's been a narrative push to rebel against all authority.
You know, and it's been a narrative that has permeated the families.
You know, kids now run the show in the homes, right?
We know kids run the show in school.
We know that we're kind of taught to not respect the police anymore.
We're kind of taught that it's okay to hate.
We're even taught that it's okay to murder somebody because you can go down a blaze of glory and you can be remembered in history as a as as a person that's famous because you're a murderer.
Yeah.
I mean, my God, I mean that's where it is right now.
And um times like this remind us, I hope, of what's really important.
And I really hope that this is an awakening for people this time because I, for one, I know you for two are tired.
Yeah.
And we also get discouraged.
But at the same time, I, for one, I'm going to continue to wear my shirt.
For whatever that's worth.
You know, a little bit of hope sometimes is the light that keeps us moving from day to day.
Absolutely.
I mean, all you have, well, all we can do is hope.
It's better to hope than not hope.
You know, because if you hope, the only, you know, there's a chance that something good could happen.
There's a chance that other things, you know, positive, we can turn things around.
But if we don't hope at all, I really don't think anything positive can come from that.
And then we just distance ourselves further and further from God.
So thank you for the reminder.
Three words, faith, hope, and love.
That's where it's all got to get to.
And even what I do is when my job, you know, I try to do my best.
My wife is too to try to do our best to teach people those principles so they can learn to love God, you know, like upward.
Yeah.
And love us inward.
You know, so that we can love other people outward.
And if we don't do the upward, inward, outward thing, we we're off.
And all of us can get there.
And then we get it all screwed up.
Exactly.
And then evil reigns.
And uh, I'm not gonna let evil reign in my life.
Um you're not yours, and uh hopefully the listeners today will take a fresh perspective and and uh not let it rain in theirs either.
Absolutely.
Dr. Sherwood, thank you for joining us today.
And thank you for being a walking billboard for hope.
Hope and love.
We really really appreciate you.
And uh we're praying for Charlie Kirk and his family, his wife and his children, um, and all his loved ones during this time.
This is a very tragic time, and I I really hope the nation prays too.
