All right, ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the show.
Thanks so much for being with us.
As always, this is the Milston Report.
My name is Paul Harrell, and we can't do the program without you guys watching every single day.
We really very much appreciate it.
Later in the program, I guess the last half hour of the program, we're going to talk about the passing of Pastor John MacArthur and the legacy that he has left not only his church, but really the world with his ministry.
So we're going to talk about that a little later in the program.
Before we go any further, I do want to say this portion of the program brought to you by Red Vive Health, and we'll tell you more about the healing power of Red Light here in just a moment.
But the discount is redvivehealth.org slash Paul.
So where I want to start this afternoon, I guess, at this point, is the concept of draining the swamp.
We've heard a lot about it ever since President Trump rolled down the escalator back in 2016 or 2015.
Obviously, we all know what happened.
We've seen the weaponization of government against him.
We've seen, I mean, with Crossfire Hurricane, they essentially framed him for treason.
And this has kind of been the theme, right?
Drain the swap.
Famously, I'm pretty sure Mitch McConnell, back when he was more sentient than he is now, was critical.
Didn't want to hear that phrase anymore.
The idea that Washington, D.C. just refuses to represent the will of the people.
But now, over the last week, specifically with the Epstein debacle, how it was handled, there's many people scratching their heads, many people asking, I mean, are the same forces that the American people have consistently voted against still in control?
And so that's what we're going to talk about here today.
And I'm joined by two guests that are going to help me do that.
The first one is, well, let's just throw all three of us up there right now.
We have in the middle here, we have Katie, who is the defender of the Republic over on X. She's got great videos.
She came up with one a few days ago talking about this idea.
The lobbyists are still in control, very much influencing President Trump.
And we also have Mr. Don Brown is with us.
Don Brown is the only Republican candidate in North Carolina right now running for Senate because Senator Tom Tillis has announced that he's not going to seek re-election.
Katie, Don, welcome to the Millstone Report.
Thanks so much for being with us.
Thanks for having me.
It's a pleasure.
All right.
So, Don, let's start with you.
I know you're at a hotel right now.
You're on the campaign trail.
What are your thoughts about what's going on right now?
The people want the swamp to drained.
Is the swamp getting drained?
The swamp is not getting drained.
You know, nobody, and by the way, we do have one other declared candidate.
We're waiting on Laura Trump.
Is Laura Trump going to press this Justice Department under Pam Bondi to release the Epstein names like I certainly will?
The swamp is not being drained.
And this whole thing with Epstein, nobody believes these files disappeared any more than they believe that Biden got 80 million votes.
If you believe either one of those, I've got some tropical land in the illusions, I'll sell you.
But the whole issue with Epstein is there's a protection right now of what appears to be an international criminal syndicate.
But it's a larger issue of the unequal dispositions of justice whereby regular people get railroaded and esteemed by the system.
But then the elites, these Democrat elites, these billionaire elites, and maybe even some contributors or some donors are being protected by the system.
You know, Hillary Clinton bleeds Blitz.
Blitz beats Blitz, her selected beer, her computer system.
There's no investigation for obstruction of justice.
Jim Comey says, well, yes, there was classified information on Hillary's server, but no regional prosecutor would prosecute.
Well, they went after President Trump for incarning classified information in Florida, which he could do legally under the presidential records.
He had the absolute right to do that, but it's not just the prosecutions against President Trump that have average Americans upset.
It's the prosecutions against little people.
Douglas Mackey, for example, who was a cartoonist who simply did a cartoon lampooning hillary voters in 2016, was prosecuted by the Justice Department in 2021.
Now, he's been exonerated, but he was prosecuted.
You remember McCloskey, Douglas and Patricia McCloskey, Mark and Patricia McCloskey, the couple in St. Louis, when a thug crowd crashes through a steel gate in their neighborhood, and They come out and exercise their Second Amendment rights, only hold their weapons.
And this Soros prosecutor, Kim Gardner, and I write about this in my book, Kangaroo Court, goes after them.
You know, you look at Paul Vaughan and Mark Howe, two pro-life fathers, prosecuted a year after the Supreme Court reverses Roe, simply because the Biden Justice Department wants to attack them.
We have got to have equal dispensation of justice.
You can't have a justice system that protects the rich and the famous and the Democrats and let them get away scot-free.
And this whole thing with the Epstein files having suddenly disappeared, listen, those files did not disappear.
If those files have disappeared, then the Justice Department under Pam Bonnie ought to initiate an investigation for obstruction of justice.
Just like this needs to happen with Hillary's computer with the bleach bit, with everything that disappears.
And less and until the Justice Department goes strong and aggressively, we're not going to restore our confidence in the system.
As the United States Senate from North Carolina, I will press that point.
I hope if Laura gets into race that she will pledge to press that point or anybody else will press it.
We've got to press this Justice Department to make some heads roll.
We need to be going after these rogue prosecutors like Jack Smith, Fannie Willis, Alvin Bragg.
They all ought to be at least investigated for a violation of civil rights under 18 USC 241.
As United States Senator for North Carolina, I will press that point and press it hard because if we don't, if we don't have a justice system where the public can believe it's going to be even-handed with equal justice under the law, then we've lost everything.
And no, the swamp hasn't been drained.
We must aggressively drain it.
I can't argue with that at all.
Katie, what are your thoughts on this and the lobbyist influence that's still alive and well?
Well, it's funny you mentioned the will of the people.
Is the will of the people profitable?
And that is the problem.
When you have people in D.C. who make money hand over fist that people couldn't even imagine the amount of money that is involved in all of the things that are happening in D.C., it's concerning.
And, you know, as the defender of the Republic, one of the things I have done is I've watched all of these things happen.
I look at the players.
I look at the names.
I look at what they're doing.
And there are a lot of people that say, Heidi, relax, watch, you know, trust Trump.
But here's the problem.
You know, we saw, you know, people that support Trump and love Trump.
We watched what happened to him in his first administration.
We watched as all of these people turned their backs on him that he trusted.
And then we watched as the government came after him and his allies.
Look what happened to General Flynn.
Look what happened to Bannon, Giuliani, and the J6ers.
And we still don't have justice in terms of what happened in J6 because it's not profitable.
And so I look at the lobbyists that are there.
And there are a couple of things that we just don't understand that are happening where you've got a lot of people.
The American public is very curious and concerned about the fact that we're giving so much money to Ukraine.
And we just saw that President Trump decided that we were going to continue to do that.
And so I look and I wonder, why does that happen?
Well, when you look back, back in December of 2024, right after President Trump got elected again, there was an organization out of Canada called Stand With Ukraine.
And that company signed a FARA agreement with a man named Brian Lanza, who is actually one of Trump's advisors.
And that guy works for Mercury, right?
So Mercury Public Affairs, who is a part, a subsidiary of Omnicom, which is a WEF company.
That's concerning.
And that same Brian Lanza with Mercury also was involved with Goshen, right?
Goshen is a TCP company that makes batteries and was buying up land in Michigan and the people pushed back on it.
And the problem is we just saw Gretchen Whitmer in the White House.
Why was she there?
Why was President Trump saying she's doing a great job?
These are all very concerning things.
And at the end of the day, the lobbyists are the ones that fund campaigns.
The lobbyists are the ones that make all of the decisions because they hold the purse.
So it's very concerning and it's something that I want the American public to look into because public pressure is the only way to fight big money.
Well, you know, speaking of public pressure now, I mean, I was looking at Ras Musson.
I was looking at Mark Mitchell's polling overnight.
Trump's approval is taking a pretty bad hit, specifically among independents like minus 19 now.
And this is right after, he's making the point, this is right after his signature legislative achievement, the Big Beautiful Bill.
And so a lot of this is, you know, the people are, I guess the people are not ready to move on, specifically with Epstein.
And I said this on my afternoon show yesterday with my co-host Rob Spencer.
The issue, I think, here with a lot of people because I think people support the investigation.
I know John Solomon's reporting some sort of grand jury activity for maybe some overarching conspiracy theory involving Comey, Clapper, Brennan, the whole like, everything that they did.
But if this one issue is just kind of left, if we're continue to be gaslit and say, hey, the Epstein files, they don't matter.
Forget about them.
This is no big deal.
I think the question on the American people's mind, at least mine is going to be with these other investigations, trying to bring these other criminals to justice, are they going to go far enough?
Or will they pull their punches like they're pulling their punches with the Epstein child sex trafficking conspiracy?
Don, feel free to respond to that, sir.
Well, thanks.
And Katie makes some great points.
I think there needs to be an all-out legal assault against all of these swamp creatures, from Epstein to these rogue prosecutors.
I hope that what John Solomon is saying is accurate.
There will be some sort of a grand prosecution involving the conspirators against the president's rights.
But until, I mean, the American people are very attuned to this issue, and it is a red hot potato right now.
And when you get the impression, here's this guy, you know, for the Justice Department to say they ruled it in suicide.
I mean, come on.
When Epstein was taken off the prison, everybody was, there was a countdown.
How long until the quote-unquote suicide happened?
And sure enough, it happened.
And here's the question.
If there's nothing to see here, if there are no files, if there are no victims, then why is Delaine Maxwell still in prison?
And I'll ask this question: Do the people who tried to kill President Trump a year ago, did they want the Epstein file release?
Think about that.
Think about what happened with that young man who was accused of shooting the president.
Well, the next thing you know, his body is cremated.
All the evidence of communication that he has had with others is gone, just wiped out.
Something is going on here, and we, the people, are not going to sit back and just let it pass.
And I heard Laura say the other day, you know, we're going to get to the bottom of it.
We've got to press the Justice Department for an all-out assault against these prosecutors who have engaged in a massive assault on the prosecution with these multiple, you know, kenyaroo court cases that we've seen over the last four years, not just against the president, but against ordinary people.
I heard the mention of General Flynn a moment ago, who has endorsed our campaign, by the way.
General Flynn, you know, he was accused of quote-unquote lying to the FBI when the FBI agents that he talked to said, we didn't, he lied.
But because he was associated with Trump, what do they do?
They threaten to prosecute his son, and they basically are going to crush the guy if they don't force him into a plea.
The president finally pardoned him, and I believe the entire Mueller appointment violated the appointments clause of the Constitution.
But that's what they do to people who can't defend themselves.
There is over a 99% conviction rate once they put their jack-booted Doug, steel-toed boots under an average American person in the federal court system.
I've been involved in representing J6 defendants.
The morning that my kid was arrested, his father called me and said, Don, I've got 12 FBI, don't get this, counterterrorism agents raiding my house right now in Fort Millen, South Carolina.
I throw my suit and go down to the federal court in Columbia.
The kid was only charged with misdemeanors.
12 FBI counterterrorism agents over a kid basically charged with misdemeanor trespass who never touched a police officer.
In fact, who yucked it up with police officers like Jacob Chancellor.
The two-tiered system must come to an end, and the Justice Department must leave the charge.
And I will advocate looting that charge in the United States Senate.
Yeah, that's absolutely insane.
It is incredible how the J Sixers, I mean, still to this day, cannot get over.
And I saw my friend Derek Evans talk about this.
He served more time than Epstein's clients, and he was treated terrible, put in solitary confinement.
Absolutely horrible.
You mentioned Laura Trump potentially getting in the race.
I know she was on the Benny Johnson show.
And so this idea of public pressure, I think it's working.
I mean, I think the administration needs to be very careful not to continue to promise things are coming and then not deliver.
But, you know, even Benny Johnson is saying now just got off the phone with top federal law enforcement contact.
The change in approach to Epstein has been dramatic.
Expect more disclosures.
So I would say, because I know there's some people in MAGA that don't want to call a spade a spade.
Look, I want to celebrate when Trump does something amazing.
I want to celebrate it, and I want to talk about how great it is.
And when he does something I disagree with, I think we need to be free to explain that.
The Republican Party at this point is very much a coalition.
There's different coalitions.
It was a historic political coalition, a political realignment in 2024.
And these coalitions, I think, need to feel free to debate and criticize our own side when we're not getting what we voted for in some instances.
And I think with this Epstein problem, I mean that this is certainly one of them.
Katie, what do you think?
Is the public pressure working?
Do you think there's people in the Trump administration that are taking notice of not only the approval rating going down, but that this, in fact, is very important to portions of the MAGA base?
Absolutely.
And I wish that his kids would get more involved in the administration because there are roadblocks where things do not get to him.
And that's why public pressure is so important.
And MAGA has to remember that MAGA, the sentiment of MAGA, should go far beyond this presidency.
When Trump is out of office, MAGA doesn't go away.
The sentiment that we're looking for in America for the people should not go away.
And that's why it's so important when the public is asking for transparency and accountability.
These are things that he ran on.
This is what MAGA's about.
And so when we saw all of this lawfare being waged against him and against his allies, why is it not happening now?
Why are we not actually holding criminals accountable, people that have actually done things that we've proven?
We've seen over and over, you know, whether the president even posts truths about things that happened and proof of it.
And no one's in jail.
No one's been arrested.
So these are the things that are concerning for people.
And we need to make sure that the communication is there and that there's full transparency just like we've asked for.
Yeah, no, you are exactly right.
And I think, you know, to your point about some of Trump's children, you know, on the show yesterday, we were talking, we were kind of reminding people how this idea that people care about Epstein disclosures and justice for the victims, it has been a kind of a backbone.
For 10 years, people have been talking about Epstein.
Before that, it was fringe, but now it's mainstream.
We got clips of Donald Trump Jr. talking about Epstein, to your point.
And I'd love to get your thoughts on this, Don.
For years, whether we're talking at the state level or whether we're talking at the federal level, but mainly the federal level, people have been, they always have a question.
Why does a Republican run on what is generally considered to be a good platform, popular with the people?
Hey, these are all the things that we're going to do, whether it's deficit, whether it's social issues or whatever.
And then they go to D.C. and they come back to their constituents with a list of excuses as to why it just can't be done.
We've all scratched our heads.
Some people have thought that, oh, it's because once they get to D.C., every lobbyist they meet is telling them to do the opposite of what they promised.
And that just takes somebody with a lot of moral courage to be able to stand up.
But the idea of blackmail goes a lot further to answer, I think, this question.
Like, why do they come back to us with excuses as to why they're not going to vote the way we send them there to vote?
And so I think that's also at the heart of this.
The idea that the real currency In Washington, D.C., is blackmail.
And there's a lot of powerful people.
If that blackmail somehow goes away because people are outed and have to answer for what they've done, then we actually might get a government that is closer to the people and actually reflects the will of the people.
What are your thoughts on that?
Well, you're asking the right question.
And Katie mentioned all the money that's involved, but is there a blackmail?
And listen, where there is smoke, you know there's a fire.
And there's no, I mean, is the money part of the explanation?
Of course it is.
There was a congressman from the western part of North Carolina, the young man in a wheelchair, Madison Cawthorne, who was saying this very thing.
They bring you in and they have all these, you know, he was saying sex parties, drug parties, and then they threaten you.
And of course, he was primaried out and he was defeated and was no longer in the Congress.
But where there is smoke, there's fire.
And I haven't seen it myself, but I can tell you that something simply doesn't add up and it doesn't make sense.
I do believe, you know, you wonder what happened to, you know, Andrew Breibart, you know, here today, gone tomorrow.
What happened to Justice Scalia?
And there was an autopsy there.
Here today, gone tomorrow.
I don't have the answers.
Nobody believes that the JFK was assassinated by a lone gunman, not even Bobby Kennedy.
He says the CIA took his uncle out.
So I don't know all the answers, but you're asking the right questions.
And when we have what appears to be a cover-up for what appears to be a major international criminal syndicate involving Epstein, it only raises suspicions even more.
And so we've got to get to the bottom of it.
And we have to, the people, the American people, MAGA especially, and the American people, want to see an end to this two-tiered system of justice.
Everybody knows the prosecutions against President Trump were a bunch of bump.
They know the prosecutions against General Flynn was a bunch of bump.
Steve Bannon was only prosecuted because of his association with Trump.
This has to change.
And as Kenny was pointing out, if we don't see some prosecutions against some of these rogue prosecutors and these deep state actors, if we don't see those now, once President Trump's out of office, and if the Democrats somehow do ever take control again, if you think it was bad before, it's going to be off the charts bad the next time.
So we've got to put pressure on these communist actors, basically, who've bastardized the Constitution with this two-tiered system of justice that we've seen.
And the Epstein situation is just the tip of the spear here.
We've got to take action.
We've got to take action sooner rather than later and make them pay.
I think you're exactly right.
If the Democrats, if the communists essentially take control, if we thought it was bad before, I completely agree with you.
And that's really what's at stake here, the concept of winnowing your enemies to make sure that we do not want to be in this position.
I mean, if you thought there was a, I mean, I look at it in terms of anti-Christian bias.
If you thought anti-Christian bias was a problem before, it's going to go off the charts if they ever do get back in power.
And that's why we cannot fail here.
We have to succeed.
We must succeed in this in restoring.
And, you know, the whole point of the DOJ and the most transparent administration in history was to restore confidence.
And now we're in this situation where, you know, we're still in the midst of a cascading failure of confidence.
The polling is showing that.
I said last week, and I saw Steve Bannon say this as well.
I'm not saying he got it for me because it's a logical conclusion, but early last week, I was saying, hey, look, this could cost Trump the House.
This could cost Trump the Senate.
And if that happens, you're looking at more impeachments.
You're looking at maybe even successful impeachments.
Who knows?
So I'm glad that there's at least reporting that the administration is reconsidering things, but they better quit promising things.
They don't need to do any more Pam Bondi Fox news hits and promising things that don't materialize.
Matter of fact, they might not even need to say anything at all and just let the arrests speak for themselves.
When people start seeing arrests, I think there'll be a lot more confidence, especially if they will do this in an unbiased way.
If it leads to a Republican, then the Republican goes down.
But if people look that you're only going after Democrats, because I think we all know the Uniparty is real and Republicans are implicated in this or MAGA, maybe even MAGA donors are implicated in this, that would be the best thing you could do to actually ensure that the Republicans take control is if it's looked at that the Republicans are also policing their own here.
Feel free to respond to that.
Yeah, I think that justice is a bipartisan issue.
I will tell you that I believe the American public is just tired of people getting away with crimes and just watching it happen every day.
When you keep saying no one is above the law, it's a real thing.
You're watching all of these people in DC who are saying no one is above the law, but then they truly are above the law.
So when you're a normal human being just trying to live your day-to-day, and if you could, you know, that you committed the same crimes that these people were committing, you'd be put away.
And the fact that these people continue to get away with it is an issue.
So I agree.
We start with transparency about the things that people have questions on now, and then we just action, right?
Instead of talking about the crimes that Adam Schiff has committed, arrest him.
Do something about it.
That is what the American people want to see.
Yeah, no, absolutely.
I'm glad you brought that up.
Donald Trump posted on Tree Social that Adam Schiff may have committed some form of mortgage fraud.
That's basically all the time that we have.
But I wanted to go back to Don.
Don, you're running for Senate.
You're the only declared candidate so far because Tom Telles has fallen out of the race.
So can you give us some details?
Like where can people go if they want to know more about your campaign or if they even want to support your campaign, sir?
Well, we do have one other declared candidate, but for my campaign, you go to brownfornc.com.
That's brownfornc.com.
We need folks to come on board.
I've had a track record of working with President Trump.
I've been a J6 attorney.
I've had President Trump pardon two of my clients, including Lieutenant Clinton Lawrence, who was prosecuted under Obama's rules of engagement, have worked very closely with Secretary of Defense Pete Hedse.
I'm the guy to step in and replace Tillis and actually put an America-first MAGA-loving, America-loving conservative in that seat.
And I appreciate the opportunity to speak with you all a little bit this afternoon about it.
Absolutely.
And Katie, you do great work over on your X account out at RealDefender45.
I'll give you the last word.
Thank you so much, Paul.
And Don, I wish you tons of luck.
And I want people out there to go to your website because it is a battle to get through these campaigns.
So I totally get it.
And all the assistance that people can offer him would be great.
But I will tell the public, keep digging into the things that are happening.
You know, don't follow the narratives.
Look at what's happening.
And whatever it is that you need to say, say it.
Don't be afraid to get out there and speak for the American people.
That's why God gave us a voice and we have to use it.
Amen.
Well, God bless you both.
I hope you have a fantastic rest of your day.
And I'd love to do this again soon.
Let's do it.
Thankful.
All right.
Thank you.
You guys be safe.
Folks, really appreciate them coming on the program.
And that was super special.
So we don't have guests very often, and we certainly don't have two guests at the same time very often.
So it was an absolute pleasure.
We're going to take a quick break.
We're going to reset here.
We're going to first hear from our good friend Mike Lindell, and then we'll be back here in just a moment.
I hear every day about the products y'all wish my pillow carried.
Well, guess what?
We probably do.
Slippers, bathrobes, pet beds, blankets, mattresses, sleepwear, loungewear, duvets, comforters, potholders, aprons, oven mitts, and so much more.
And they're all on sale.
For example, get our best-selling standard MyPillows for only $14.98.

All right.
So make sure that you use promo code PH.
Look at the summer savings up to 80% off and you want to do that.
You know, I personally like the towels.
The sheets are great.
Obviously, the pillows are great.
I really like the towels.
So anyway, if you go to mypillows.com, if you're ready for some new, you know, new sheets or slippers or anything, just make sure you use that promo code PH.
I would very, very much appreciate it.
But I don't want to move on from this until we tell you about Red Light Therapy and the great folks over at redvivehealth.org slash Paul.
You heard me talk about this the other day, but I'm going to reiterate it.
According to a report that I read the other day, you have the Health and Human Services Secretary of HHS, obviously RFK Jr., he is trying to get the fluoride out of the water, right?
He's trying to get the neurotoxins.
He's trying to get the medicine out of the water.
And it's a very good thing, but there's pushback.
There's pushback in the DOJ, according to reports.
And so it's never been a better time to make sure that you give your body everything it needs to fight the toxins that are all around us, whether it's in the air, water, soil, whatever.
One of those things is red light therapy.
And these are not just any red light panels.
The red light panels from RedVive over at redvivehealth.org slash Paul are extremely powerful.
As a matter of fact, if you go to redvivehealth.org slash paul, you can check out the specs and just how powerful these things are.
And obviously, I'm not an engineer, but you can check it out because it's absolutely incredible.
The red light is what enhances your skin collagen, anti-aging, healing your skin, hyperpigmentation, things like that.
The near-infrared light, it's crazy.
I was hearing a scientist talk about this the other day over at Red Vibe's Instagram page, basically saying, like, what they've done is they've taken the natural goodness of the sun and they've taken out the bad part because you can't get sunburned or anything with this, right?
But if you go stand the sun, you need the sun.
The sun gives you the blue light and the sun gives you the red light, but they're taking out of the blue light.
They're taking the ultraviolet radiation that actually cooks your skin.
They're taking that out and you're just getting the best part of the sun, the sunset or the sunrise part of the sun when it's right on the horizon, that red light that is so good for you, but they've put it in targeted doses.
And that's why the mitochondria of your cells react.
It's actually called photobiomodulation.
It's scientific.
These are scientifically proven panels, scientifically proven technology, clinical strength, two-year warranty, 60-day money-back guarantee, and they even have 0% financing available.
Check them out right now, Lighting Your Path to Wellness.
Experience the Healing Power of Red Light.
Call 866-726-8483.
Mention my name, Paul, to get the 15% discount.
They know who I am.
Or you can just go to redvivehealth.org slash Paul.
And when you do it, you'll be given the coupon immediately.
And you click OK, and then you can get to shopping.
So we really appreciate Red Vive for everything that they have done and everything that they're continuing to do because they really are giving people an off-ramp of this medical industrial complex hamster wheel that is, I don't know, it's just making a lot of people sick.
Okay, I told you the last half of the show, Pastor John MacArthur has gone home to glory.
Pastor MacArthur, obviously, I'm sure many of you guys out there know who John MacArthur is.
Maybe you don't.
But he's been a very influential pastor among evangelicals, really across different denominations.
I know he was very good friends with the late R.C. Sproll, who obviously was a Presbyterian minister.
John was pastor of a church over in California, famous for founding Grace to You Ministries.
He's written tons of books, and he's always been a guy, whether you agree with everything About him theologically.
He's always been a guy that stands up for what the Bible says.
And when the big cultural issues of our day confronted us, he was always quick to say what the Bible says and to use that as a model for how we live and how we resist in a world full of people who hate God.
And as a matter of fact, the sermon that he gave right after the Obergfeld decision came down, where the highest court of the land said that you have a constitutional right to get gay married, and then they put a rainbow in the White House, his words after that, I think, were some of the most powerful.
He's had health issues for a while.
He had had health issues for a while and was diagnosed with pneumonia and passed away shortly after that.
The church announced this on Sunday, that he hadn't passed away yet, but they said that basically things were deteriorating quickly.
And so be in prayer for John MacArthur's church, the one he pastored for years and years and years, and his family as they grieve and they mourn this loss.
We're going to, let's throw this up here because this is where we're going to start today.
Here we go.
So isn't it great that my screen works today and it didn't yesterday?
I'm just throwing that out there.
Grace to you, ministries.
Our hearts are heavy yet rejoicing as we share the news that our beloved pastor and teacher, John MacArthur, has entered into the presence of the Savior.
This evening, his faith became sight.
He faithfully endured until his race was run.
2 Timothy 4, 1 through 8.
A few reactions from across the internet.
Oklahoma State Senator Dusty Deavers writing, In an age of compromise, Pastor John MacArthur stood as a fixed point, faithful to Christ to the end, an unflinching shepherd, a sleepless watchman, and an uncompromising herald.
His pulpit thundered with truth, unmoved by fads, unshaken by threats, and unwavering in allegiance to the Lordship of Jesus Christ.
John MacArthur, 1939 through 2025.
Megan Basham reminding us that John MacArthur was one of the first ones to expose Governor Gavin Newsom, then I'm pretty sure he was mayor of L.A. a long time ago, specifically over this issue of homosexual marriage.
Watch.
I'm a practicing Catholic.
I got married in the church two plus years.
I don't see what we're doing in terms of advancing the bond of love and monogamy and extending that to families, families of same sex, in any way, shape, or form, takes away anything from the church or the sanctity of the union that my wife and I have.
I would just like to ask the mayor as a practicing Catholic, do you believe the Bible is the Word of God?
Look, Pastor, I'm not going to get in a theological debate with you.
Well, that's not a theological debate.
That's just a straight question.
Do you believe the Bible is the authoritative word of God?
With respect, I guess I do.
Now the response.
Then the Bible says when God created man, he said, one man, one woman cleave together for life.
That's a family.
Jesus in the New Testament reaffirms that.
All the writers of the Old and the New Testament affirm it.
Adultery, bestiality, homosexuality was punishable by death according to the Old Testament law because it was so serious in those early years because it literally shattered the hope of civilization.
The New Testament offers us, of course, grace.
Those sins are sins.
They are forgivable.
Jesus died to redeem us from those sins.
We're all sinners.
You don't want to categorize that.
What does the state have to do with that?
But the point at this juncture is, well, he's representing the state.
He's coming back and saying, I'm a Catholic, and I'm a Catholic, and somehow this fits into my Catholicism.
And I'm saying, well, what's your authority then?
Yes, always bringing it back on what authority.
William Wolfe, the head of the Center for Baptist Leadership, says, I told my wife that John MacArthur had died, and her reaction was, that's so sad.
He was one of the last men standing.
And by that, she meant one of the only major evangelical figures that we had both watched and learned from over the last decade, plus who didn't embrace the unbiblical wokeness or godless social justice nonsense that so many others did.
She's right, and he will be missed.
John MacArthur stood up to Gavin Newsom during COVID.
He refused to close his church.
He was sued by the county and was sued by the state and won.
He won.
He won in court.
And when he opened his church back up after the whole two weeks to slow the spread was revealed to be a total fraud, there were evangelicals that criticized him for doing it and wanted him to stay, wanted him to keep his church closed.
And he said no.
And then things played out, and guess what?
The county and the state ended up paying his church in damages.
So that's the most recent example.
And that happened obviously during 2020 when a lot of truth was revealed throughout the church in general, the different churches in general, about who really meant it, who was actually serious about their faith.
Ali Beth Stuckey, no one challenged Gavin Newsom's evil and stupidity as persistently or effectively as John MacArthur, and no one prayed harder for Newsom's repentance.
In 2022, after Newsom put up billboards advertising California as the abortion destination, MacArthur wrote him this letter urging him to turn to the Lord.
In part, the letter said, My concern, Governor Newsom, is that your own soul lies in grave eternal peril.
Each one of us will give an account of himself to God.
One day, not very long from now, you will face that reality.
Nothing is more certain.
It is appointed for men to die once, and after this comes judgment.
Hebrews 9, 27.
You will stand in the presence of the holy God who created you, who is your judge, and he will demand that you give an account for how you have flouted his authority in your governing, and how you have twisted his own holy word to rationalize it.
As you Look over the precipice of eternity, what will your answer be?
When you look ahead of you and see that nothing awaits you but eternal misery, the just punishment for your sins, what will all the clever rationalizations and political talking points avail for you then?
And by then, it will be too late for any remedy or redemption.
It is a terrifying thing to fall into the hands of the living God, Hebrews 10, 31.
My plea to you, sir, is that you would not let it come to that, that you would not go to that day of judgment apart from receiving forgiveness and righteousness through faith in Christ alone.
J.C. Ryle reminding us, I was telling you this a second ago, that in 2015, John MacArthur delivered a sermon titled, We Will Not Bow, following the Supreme Court's legalization of same-sex marriage.
Free, a lot is happening at a very rapid rate.
And with all the discussion that's been going on, I've been kind of eager to get to you and maybe help to give you a perspective.
And I know that there have been comments made from this pulpit, exceptionally helpful, clear, well-chosen comments on the issues that face our country today.
But I need to just kind of add some of my own insights and perception and then direct you to a particular portion of scripture.
This country talks a lot about terrorist attacks, and rightly so.
Almost anybody in America can give you some kind of a listing of the most destructive acts of terror that have happened in our country.
But let me suggest to you this.
The two greatest attacks of terror on America were perpetrated by the Supreme Court, not by any Muslim, but by the Supreme Court of the United States.
The first one was the legalizing of abortion.
Subsequent to that, there have been millions of babies slaughtered in the wombs of their mothers.
It's incalculable to even comprehend that.
The blood of those lives cries out from the ground for divine vengeance on this nation.
The second great act of terror perpetrated by the Supreme Court was the legalization of same-sex marriage.
The destruction of human life in the womb, in a sense the destruction of motherhood, and now the destruction of the family itself.
No bomb, no explosion, no attack, and no assault on people physically can come anywhere near that kind of terrorism.
Our country is being terrorized by the people most responsible to protect it, those who are to uphold the law.
Just a few comments beyond that.
No human court has the authority to redefine morality.
But this human court has said murder is not murder, and marriage is not marriage, and family is not family.
They have usurped the authority that belongs only to God, who is the creator of life, marriage, and family.
Any and all attempts to define morality differently than God has is a form of rebellion and blasphemy.
Blasphemy against God, against his holy nature, and his holy law, and his holy people.
This nation, at its highest level, has taken a position against God.
Such blasphemous rebellion is energized.
It is energized by the corruption of the collection of sinful hearts that make up this nation or any nation.
There's no question about that.
But behind that collection of sinful, corrupt human hearts that make this kind of thing possible and acceptable is the realm of Satan and demons.
The Bible says Satan holds the whole world in his hand.
The whole world lies in the lap of the evil one.
God and Christ and the Holy Spirit and the Bible and the church and truth are the enemies of Satan.
And Satan rules the world.
He rules the world of sinners.
And he has his power in high places.
He is the ruler of the kingdom of darkness, and he hates and seeks to destroy all that is light, all that is truth, all that is pure, all that is holy, all that is virtuous, and all that is good.
I'm saying all of this to let you know you don't need to be surprised.
I admit that for a few hundred years, America had a very rare reprieve from this normal kind of conflict that most of the world has always known.
But that reprieve has come to a screeching halt.
And I want to remind you that homosexuality, homosexual marriage, gender, transition, these are not the real battlegrounds.
The real battleground is against God and Christ and the Holy Spirit and the Bible and the church and the gospel.
Any blasphemy against God comes from God haters, Christ haters, Bible haters, gospel haters.
And they are fueled By the arch hater Satan himself.
Since marriage is vital to God's design for ordered society, sensible civilization, civilization able to enjoy common grace, since marriage is by God's design his way to pass on order, to pass on peace, to pass on temporal blessing, and even to pass on righteousness from one generation to the next, family has always been under assault.
Under assault.
It's in Genesis.
God makes it very clear.
He made them male and female.
Male, female, nothing in the middle.
Male, female.
He said marriage is when a male and a female come together and create a union for life and have children.
That's marriage.
But you don't get very far in Genesis until you run into polygamy, incest, prostitution, rampant homosexuality by the 19th chapter of Genesis.
All the deviations, all the perversions are in the book of Genesis after the fall.
These have always been the corruptions that have marked human society.
Again, in America and in the Western world, we've had a bit of a reprieve because of the prevailing influence of Christian morality.
The objective of Satan, the objective of demons, and consequently the objective of all who are the subjects of Satan, the children of Satan, as they're called in Scripture, is to destroy everything that God has made.
They are the enemies of God and Christ and the truth of Scripture and the gospel.
The objective is not simply to redefine gender.
The objective is not simply to redefine marriage.
The objective is to destroy what God has designed.
Families provide a small sovereign unit that acts as a small barrier against the corruption that seeks to dominate.
Shatter the family, destroy the family, and the small sovereign barrier is disintegrated.
And by the way, the goal in all of this, you need to be reading to see this, the goal in all of this is not homosexual, same-sex marriage.
The goal is the total elimination of all marriage.
Which then means that you don't possess any privacy.
You don't have that small sovereign unit and your children are not yours.
They're public children, and they belong to the education system, and they belong to the country, and they belong to the village, but not to you.
And so when they're 15 in the state of Oregon, they can have a sex change without telling their parents, and the state will do it and pay for it.
This is not about same-sex marriage.
This is about the total obliteration of the family.
So that there will be no more family, no more covenants, no more private sovereign units that stand up against the corruption.
Go back to contraception.
You go back to where this all began.
It is the product, admittedly, of the feminist movement.
Go back to contraception.
Now, when contraception comes in, you have sex without children.
For the first time, the greatest restraint against having sex is eliminated.
The greatest natural restraint against having sex with just anybody anytime was children will be produced, possibly.
So contraception comes along, and you can have sex without children.
But that's not enough.
That doesn't cover enough ground because that's not complete enough, so you add abortion.
And now you can have sex without children, and if it misses and you do have a child conceived, just kill it.
We've come all the way from sex without children to, listen to this, children without sex.
You can manufacture a baby.
Two lesbians can have a baby.
A lesbian can have planted in her womb a living being from somebody else.
Children can be manufactured.
The normal reason for marriage, a man and a woman coming together to produce children, has been completely convoluted.
I played that lengthy clip because I just wanted, if those of you out there that don't know, never heard of John MacArthur, I just wanted you to understand what a force for good he was and how that's why there are people all over Christian X lamenting his passing, rejoicing he's with the Lord, because his ministry meant so much.
And it wasn't just confined to cultural issues.
But I felt that was fitting considering we have the Magnolia couple, Chip and Joanna Gaines, normalizing a same-sex homosexual, two gay guys that have adopted kids and how where this does lead.
I mean, it does lead to really no definition for the family and no definition for the marriage and the idea that a child doesn't need a mother and a father and what that's doing to the next generation.
And some of this stuff is going to work itself out as well as we see the results of transing kids and calling it health care.
these kids are growing up, they're realizing they were lied to, they're trying to detransition, and they're asking themselves, why in the world would this society allow me to do what I did when I was not an adult, and I was not conscious really of what it was I'm actually doing.
I'm MacArthur from 1939, 2025, goes home to be with the Lord.
And I want to play this part as well, I want to do a full story with this.
I think this is the fitting, and this is a very haphazard way to tribute to John MacArthur dispassing.
but I felt like this might be the best way to end it.
*music*
When peace like a river was ended by faith, when sorrows might see will throw the heaven by love,
thou hast heard me to say it well it is well with my soul.
Oh, I forgot the corpse.
It is well with my soul.
It is well, it is well with my soul.
Though Satan should love it, though trials should come, let this blessed assurance control that Christ has regarded my helplessness take and
has shed his own blood for my soul.
With well with my soul, with my soul in his well, in his well, with my soul.
Sing that next verse, one of the, I think, the most significant, memorable verses that we sing.
Let's sing it without the piano and just hear this wondrous confession.
My sin, oh, the bliss of this glory us all.
My sin not in part, but the whole is nailed to the cross, and thy fear is no more.
Praise the Lord, praise the Lord, O my soul is well with my soul,
with my soul in my soul.
And Lord is the day when the face shall be signed, but how people back as a stroke,
the truth shall be sound, and the boat shall be stand even so.
It is well with my soul.
