I didn't know that then, but anyway.
About nine o'clock in the morning.
It's kind of a cool, misty morning.
Not much.
Well, anyway, I'm out here.
I'm on the front porch of my old house, and I'm looking across the creek bottom.
Well, there's three military helicopters in formation.
It was two jet rangers and one UH-60 Blackhawk.
They're flying probably 300 feet off the ground, maybe 100 yards.
Well, they're coming towards me.
I said, well, heck!
I said, man, that's the National Guard coming.
They're coming straight to the house towards me.
Here, I'm going to step out on the sidewalk there.
I'm going to give them a wave.
Anyway, when they get, oh, probably almost halfway through the creek bottom there, and they're coming this way, they break to the left.
They break over towards the Mount Carmel site, and as they move over towards the Mount Carmel site, shots are fired at them.
The first shots fired of the raid were from somewhere on Mount Carmel, which later had been proved to be...
Actually, there were six men that were deployed there.
They're the ones that shot the helicopters, what do you call them?
Operators. There were six operators.
They were deployed there.
Anyway, they're the ones that shot the helicopters.
Well, anyway, the helicopters are taking rounds, rounds going past the blades, rounds going over the house.
They break their formation, and they come back and land right across the road from me here.
Anyway, the UH-60 had about, according to the records I've read, they had about 17 ATF agents in them.
Well, those ATF agents were walking around that UH-60 checking for damage.
And when the two jet rangers were flying around here, they'd come over me, come around, they landed out in the road.
Some of the agents even got out and were walking along the road while the shootout was occurring.
But the first rounds came from Mount Carmel.

In that whole thing that there were six agents or something that shot.
You didn't say, Matt, it wasn't the Branch Davidians.
You said six possible agents.

Well, okay, well, there was like in 1997-98, there was a UT professor coming up from Austin.
He'd show up every weekend, and I met him.
I met him here because he came to my place.
He said,"I'm writing a book about what occurred here, how it affected the neighbors, what it did to the society around here.
I'll be here every weekend.
I'm writing a book on what occurred here." I got to know him quite a well.
He gave me his phone number and things.
Every Sunday afternoon, whenever he would finish.
Finish what he was, you know, what research he was retaining.
He would come to my house and we'd sit on the front porch and he would tell me what all he had found that day.
What he had learned or, you know, what he surmised from visiting with different folks around.
Well anyway, one Sunday he shows up and he says,"Jim, you got a chair?" He says,"I've run into something this morning." He said,"You're going to have to sit down when I tell you this." So anyway, I'm sitting there and he says, He says,"This morning,
right after daylight," he says,"I was over at the Double E Ranch Gate." He said,"I'm kind of standing out in the road taking pictures, and what I'm trying to do over there is kind of get an idea," because that's where the ATF had their staging area.
He said,"I was getting pictures there, how it would look, you know, what it would look from the Mount Carmel side, how it looked from the road where they were getting together." And so I was taking pictures there.
I was kind of standing out in the Farmer Market Road there and said that, A big bobtail truck came up and the fellow stopped.
The truck stopped.
This fellow was driving a bobtail truck.
He's going from Luke 340 over to 84 going to Mahal.
Well, anyway, the truck driver said, he asked him, what were you doing, John?
His name was John.
What were you taking pictures for?
What are you doing?
He said, you know, he's telling me that I was writing a book.
He said, that truck driver said, He said that every Sunday morning I drive from Houston to Mejia and I make a delivery in Mejia.
And he said I leave Houston around 3 or 4 o'clock in the morning and I drive to Mejia.
He said instead of going into Waco on Highway 6 and hit, they go to Bellmead and Waco and go all the traffic lights, I take the shortcut.
Go on the Old Elk Road and it goes all the way up to 84. Says you save about 8 miles.
There's no traffic lights.
There's no traffic.
He says I drive this route every Sunday.
He said on February 28th, on February 28th, the morning of the raid, this truck driver tells him, says I'm here, I'm right here by this gate and I'm driving my truck and said a Suburban passes me at a high rate of speed going from going west.
He says there's a tree line on the Elk Road right by the Mount Carmel site.
And he said that that Suburban, that truck driver says that Suburban stops, six men in full military regalia and gear deploy from that Suburban.
And that Suburban, after they deploy, the Suburban takes off like a bullet, he said, the truck driver said.
He said, when I got my truck to the site where they deployed out of that Suburban, there were no signs of them.
And John tells me, he says, Jim, Those men were deployed there.
They're the ones that shot the helicopters.
They're the ones that shot the agents.
Those men were deployed there to create the situation needed.
Hold on, let me give one thing about John.
John left.
John left that evening.
I remember seeing him driving over the hill.
He drove a black Mercedes.
Tuesday morning.
That following Tuesday morning, his wife calls and wants to know where John is.
And I said,"Well, ma'am," I said,"John left Sunday afternoon going home." She said,"Well, he's not here." I said,"Well, I'll tell you what, I'm going to be around Waco working all week, and if I find him, I'll round him up.
But if you see him, you need to call me because I'm going to be looking for him." Well, exactly a week later, 6 o'clock in the morning on Tuesday morning, she calls me and says,"Jim, John's standing here at the front porch.
He doesn't know me.
He doesn't know where he is." And his car is sitting out there with absolutely nothing in it.
And that's the last time I heard of that dear man.
That was the last time you heard from him?
That's the last time I heard.
You've never heard from him again?
His family said, never mentioned his name.
So I'm more cured of what they said and I'm not going to.
Okay, so again, this is all allegedly, okay?
We've now got nothing but the story, okay, from you.
How many minutes are we at right now?

So this is alleged.
It's a very good story, and that's what I'm trying to do is investigate this, to add teeth to this.
Now, one of the things that interests me with this whole case is the timeline of everything, and you told me that allegedly this was not the first massacre here in Waco.
Can you go into that briefly?
Well, yeah.
There was a fellow named Robert Arnold.
He was doing a lot of research on the Mount Carmel site and on the area, and I got to know him too.
Anyway, he would always come and kind of give me information about what he had researched and found.
Well, he came up one day and said,"Hey, I found out that in 1838 what was left of the Waco Indians were massacred there." And I said,"Well, kind of give him a little more detail." He said,"Well..." The Waco Indians were driven out of Waco.
Some of them were massacred at the time, but the remnants of the Waco Indians moved out to the Mount Carmel site.
And the reason they moved out to the Mount Carmel site is because the legend says there was a geyser, and the Indians considered that a spiritual site.
And really, I can kind of see that it's true because there is a lake there at Mount Carmel that never goes dry, and according to sources that have been in the lake, there's a slight steep there.
So that lake is still there, but the geyser is no longer there.
And according to this man, Robert, he told me that in 1838, Stephen F. Austin and the founder of Baylor, Mr. Baylor, along with other volunteers, came out and finished.
Massacred the rest of the Waco Indians that were left, and it has totally occurred at that site.
Okay, so, and again, that's alleged.
I mean, how can we get teeth to be able to prove that?
Okay, well, Robert Arnold, he's buried at the Mount Carmel Cemetery.
Robert Arnold mysteriously passed away of AIDS.
He was a Muslim, and before he passed away, he...
He bought me a big Koran and he put me a letter inside of it.
Yeah, telling me.
Okay, so now I'll move forward and what I'm trying to put together is I'm getting people telling me that it was an Army Air Base.
Okay, now hold on.
An Army Air Base and the records are all...
Messed up.
Even when we were here last time, we called it in, me and Justin, or Justin actually did it, and he typed it in or read it into SGI or CGI, and it came up and it showed us everything, but now that's disappeared from ChatGPT.
So can you talk about the Army Air Base real quick?
Well, according to the source, they advised me on that being a military base.
Is that in 1914 is when it was established, and it was originally established as an artillery testing ground.
They tested artillery shells there.
Then after that, it became Conley Army Airfield was the name of it.
And it became a military base.
In World War I it was used for artillery testing.
And World War II is used as a Japanese containment center.
They would move entire Japanese families out here and they would keep them in those barracks.
And at the site, if you look at some of the original aerial photographs from the 1930s and'40s, you'll see the command center there.
You'll see one-story barracks going around the drive.
Then if you look, there's another drive behind the command center that had two-story barracks.
And it was called Colony Army Airfield and it was the sources that told me about the situation.
Okay, so then, in the last interview we did, you told me that that Army Airbase, that the Branch Davidians had what was the property over where Lake Waco is now.
Yes. Army Corps of Engineers came in and did intimate domain, and they took over that property, and they gifted them.
They did a swap.
And that's possible, but now I'm getting other people.
We've talked to a couple of people that said, no, that wasn't true.
Regardless of it being true or not, we know now that I believe this definitely was an Army Air Base.
Everything I've seen on that, that it was an Army Air Base.
And whether the land swap happened or not, who knows?
Who cares if they sold it and then bought this?
What we do know is that they had an Army Air Base here.
We do have confirmation that George Rodin left and went to Washington, D.C. in 1976.
And while he was there, he did meet then head of the CIA.
George W. Bush.
He was head of the CIA in'76.
Yes, he was.
We looked it up.
He was head of the CIA.
And from sources and everybody else, it looks like that George...
W. Bush and George Roden conspired to begin to do a drug trade, otherwise known as the Iran-Contra ordeal.
Well, we know that Oliver North was involved.

And we believe that George Roden kind of head that up because we know now that George Roden was running the Branch Davidians in 1980.
What? He made everybody leave?

And then you believe that he worked with the prison and that they would bring...

Well, the sheriff at the time was named Jack Harwell.
And what the sources have told me is that Jack Harwell was able to obtain early release prisoners from the Texas Department of Correction to help to run the CIA-operated...

And Iran-Contra, it included Louisiana, Texas, and Arkansas.
And in those three states, there were eight places that they manufactured the drugs.
And this was one of them.
And my opinion...
You keep hearing about Mena, Arkansas.

He was a governor then.
Mena, Arkansas.
Well, Mena, Arkansas, in my opinion, was a diversion for this place.
This place not only had evidence of child pornography that was found there, not only had gun running, drug manufacturing, but it also appeared to have human trafficking.
Undocumented children were possibly kept there and they would do videotape child pornography there around the old barracks that used to be there.
So if we follow the timeline, the Iran-Contra ordeal got exposed in what year?
The Iran country started in 1985 and it ended in the month of March 1987.
1987. And that's when it came into the public domain and everybody saw Oliver North and all this stuff going on.
And it looks like that, you know...
President Bush put a halt on it, but that was a lot of money.
Yeah, well, Jeff Bush ran it.
President Bush may have put a halt on it, but Jeff Bush's son was running the whole CIA-Iran-Contra affair.

It's very documented, and what I've seen through my research is they put a halt on it, and they're like, no, we can't.

So I believe they continue to operate it, and as they were operating it, There are actually some good guys in the CIA because in all these alphabet soup organizations, there are some good guys there.

So now they activate David Koresh.

Him and George get in the gunfight.
Well, let me be real quick about that.
All the law enforcement agencies in Waco and around the whole area knew that Vernon Howell and Koresh, whoever you want to call them, and the Davidians, were going to come back.
Because, I'll be real quick with this, the Iran Council was over in March of'87.
Okay, well, in July and August of 1987, In July, I got my house burglarized.
All my tools were stolen out of my shed.
I mean, lawnmower, everything, all the tools.
And then in August, they came back and stole everything out of the house, including the leftover food out of the refrigerator.
Well, anyway, I knew a detective then.
His name was Big Smith.
He was X different entities.
Well, anyway, he was a detective in Waco.
And he had a security team and surveillance teams.
Well, anyway, he found out.
I told him about what happened.
And he said, Jim, when you get off of work today, I want you to come to my place.
I'm going to introduce you to all my employees and show you all our vehicles.
So I went over there.
He showed me all the employees and all the vehicles.
And he said, Jim, if you see us go by out there, it's like you don't even know who we are.
He said, we'll find your burglars.
I said, OK.
This is like the middle of October 1987.
Big Smith calls me in the middle of the night.
He says, Jim, I've got some information for you, but you're going to have to swear on a book of Bibles.
You're not going to do anything.
You're not going to take the law in your own hands.
You're not going to talk to anybody.
You're going to keep it to yourself.
I said, well, yeah.
He said, no, I'm really honest with you.
You need to tell me.
You're not going to talk.
I said, no, I'm not going to say nothing.
You're not going to take the law in your own hands?
I said, no, sir, I'm not.
He says, well, this morning, you left for work.
About six o'clock.
Says your wife left about 7:30 taking your children to school.
Said about nine o'clock.
There's two folks come walking across your pasture and my men got them.
Said and my men made them talk.
They said Jim your burglars came from Mount Carmel.
They're at Mount Carmel but you got to sit on it and not say nothing because there's something big getting ready to happen.
Well guess what?
On November On a Wednesday, right at the first spot, I think it's November the 3rd, a Wednesday, Vernon Howell and Koresh and all of them, Vernon and Koresh, what are you going to call them, they come back and take Mount Carmel over to shootout with George Roden.
And all the law enforcement entities knew it was going to happen.
If Big Smith knew it was going to happen, all the law enforcement knew, so it was a planned ordeal for them to come back and take it over from George Roden.
And they were taking it over because the reason the Davidians took over David Koresh as their head was to remove all the evidence that had been there, especially the child pornography, all the old military barracks that had been there, and also the weapons that were left.
There were something like 200 full automatic M16s that were left.
The full automatic M16s, they took them.
Well, anyway, the first thing they did with the M16s, they called the Sheriff's Department, Jack Harwell, to come pick up those weapons.
And Jack Harwell told them, told the Davidians, he could not touch them because they were under federal jurisdiction.

Remember I told you whenever they left in 1984, Perry Jones came to my house and said, Hey Jim, we're not your neighbor no more.

And that was on what date, roughly?
