Hey guys, well I'm here with my favorite doctor, Dr. Mark Sherwood here today.
And guess what I just got?
It is a giant box of the Kingdom Crunch cereal.
His new line of cereal called Kingdom Crunch, and this particular flavor is Acai Bowl.
And let me tell you, it is so, so, so, so, so tasty and delicious.
But besides from it being so tasty, I have Dr. Sherwood here to tell us why it's so good for you too and why it's so amazing and should be in everyone's cover.
So what's up with this incredible cereal that you sent me that I can't stop eating, Dr. Sherwood?
Well, many times when we hear the word cereal, we think unhealthy, poisonous chemical, carcinogenic.
Shouldn't be eating it.
That is quite the opposite.
High protein, zero added sugars, organic ingredients, and healthy fats such as medium-trained triglycerides.
Deanna, that should be in everyone's cupboard, in every child's mouth, every day.
That is truly healthy and life-giving for kids.
I recommend it all the way.
Not because I made it, but because it solves a real problem in today's world.
Excuse me, I can't stop eating it, but I gave it to my son, Maverick, who also loves cereal, but I don't want him to eat cereal except for this.
This is really, really good.
It's really tasty.
It actually tastes like real acai in your mouth.
And it's packed full of all these nutrients and no sugar, right?
No added sugar?
That's insane.
How is it so sweet then?
Yeah, we use stevia, monk fruit, and some allulose there.
All of which, get this, are diabetic friendly.
They won't raise blood sugar, which is another benefit.
I've had people ask me, can I eat that if I'm diabetic?
Yes, you can.
And you can fix your diabetes.
Yay!
Awesome.
Well, this is so good.
Where can everybody find this Kingdom Crunch cereal?
They can find it at Sherwood.tv forward slash shots and use your discount code to save...
Promo code shots.
Promo code shots and they can save some money off there and support your program.
Absolutely.
All right.
Go to Sherwood.tv promo code shots and pick up this delicious Kingdom Crunch cereal today.
All right, guys.
So today...
It's Thursday, January 9th, and we're going to be talking all day pretty much about what's been happening in Los Angeles and in California and Southern California with these insane wildfires and weather conditions, extreme weather that's been clearly geoengineered, etc.
So I have a unique vantage point because I am a California native.
I think a lot of people know this, but I'm a California native and mostly grew up in Southern California right around those areas, in particular Thousand Oaks and Westlake.
So I actually, the coincidence was I was here last week, all during the week, and I was there the moment these extreme weather conditions broke out and the moment these fires began.
They're getting water on the fire, but there are embers blowing uphill.
And now a new fire.
Go ahead.
Over to the left, there's another structure catching on fire near the top of this hill.
This is directly up from Veneta and Sunswept Drive.
You can see the fire in that patio starting on the left-hand side of your screen.
Some brush in the middle.
There's another house that hasn't been touched yet.
But there are two, I think that's two houses, that are now on fire.
Well involved.
L.A. City fire just getting on scene.
Water on the fire.
I wonder if we are going to see them drop some water over here.
But this is a completely separate part of town.
We are in the San Fernando Valley on the Studio City side.
Kind of right at the edge of Studio City in Sherman Oaks, I would say.
And this fire is going really, really good.
I almost wonder how long this has been going on.
There comes the water drop.
They are now dropping water.
We were on our way back to Van Nuys Airport to refuel from the Palisades Fire.
When we caught wind of this one here, which is really rip-roaring at a pretty steady pace and flying up that hillside with those embers already starting secondary fires.
So I'm sitting there and I was visiting family and friends over the week, you know, right after Christmas and New Year's.
So that's why I woke up this morning and...
I look a little war-weary, puffy-eyed and everything, because I kind of feel like I've been through a little bit of a war the last couple days.
So excuse my tired appearance and puffy eyes.
It's been a bit of a rough ride the last couple days.
But I'll share with you what happened so you understand from a vantage point of someone that was actually there.
So we started about Tuesday.
I was in Thousand Oaks.
Again, spent the night at my dad's house, and I was trying to drive down to San Diego.
And over the night, on Monday night, we started getting some alerts on our phones saying that there was going to be extreme weather conditions, extreme wind happening starting the next day.
And they were saying that there were going to be wind gusts up to 80 to 100 miles per hour wind.
And, you know, a lot of us kind of just blew it off because we thought...
A hundred miles per hour wind, that seems pretty crazy.
The skies were perfect at that time.
Nothing was wrong, not a cloud in the sky.
It was a beautiful day, sunny and warm, and not windy at all.
So a lot of us just brushed it off.
So I started driving, you know, a little bit on Tuesday, and then more and more I started then getting amber alerts on my phone and alerts from L.A. County saying immediate danger.
High winds up to 100 miles per hour winds.
Start evacuating.
So at first it started saying high winds, extreme weather conditions.
And it said extreme damage to homes, to property, to vehicles.
So I'm like, okay.
And I start driving and I start like seeing, I start feeling like some of these wind gusts.
I'm like, okay, that's a little much, a little crazy.
All right.
Then I drive a little bit further, and these alerts on my phone started becoming more frequent, and then they started saying, it's time to evacuate.
Evacuate your homes in these areas.
Next to Malibu, next to Pacific Palisades, next to Hollywood, and some of these other areas.
And I'm like, evacuate your homes?
What's going on?
So then I start turning around.
I went to a friend's house then in Thousand Oaks, and then there for dinner, and then during that period of dinner time on Tuesday night, that's when things started getting really rough, and the wind just started howling.
I mean, the fastest wind ever, slamming doors, you'd feel it inside of your home.
I started seeing the palm trees just...
Whipping in wind like it was a Florida hurricane.
That's what it really felt like, is a Florida type of hurricane.
And I've never been in a hurricane in San Diego or in Los Angeles, because they usually don't have hurricanes there.
But these were very, very intense winds.
And they were all through the night.
They were picking up at random times.
And then all through the morning and the next day.
You know, then we started seeing all the fires happening Tuesday night.
And just the way that the fires happened so fast and so furiously and just spreading so quickly, we were just in awe.
And what's really crazy, too, is that just these multimillion-dollar properties, I mean, the path of destruction of these fires going through Pacific Palisades and Hollywood Hills and, I mean, These homes, these homes are not cheap homes.
These are like the nicest homes and some of the nicest homes in America.
Multi-million dollar homes.
Just destroyed.
Really, really, really sad and crazy stuff.
And then, you know, the next day, again, trying to drive and it's really difficult to drive because of all the wind gusts and stuff.
So a lot of people were off the roads.
And you can just see the sky.
The sky was just dark and black.
And even though the sun was out a little bit, it looked like it was nighttime in some of these areas where the fires were because of the plumes and because of all the smoke.
And then seeing all the videos, right?
All the videos on social media that people have been posting.
Now, did I actually see the flames?
Did I drive by the flames?
No, I didn't get that close to see the flames because I, you know, didn't really want to put myself in danger, and I had other things to worry about at the time.
I didn't want to get too close to the flames, but I got very close to other aspects of it, like the smoke and everything else, and a lot of this destruction.
And I just, you know, there's just no way to get around it.
I mean, this feels completely manipulated, completely geoengineered, very abrupt, very sudden.
And the spread of these fires were just so unbelievably big in such a short amount of time.
Now, a lot of people say, well, if you're a California native, you should probably know about Santa Ana winds.
And this is probably just another Santa Ana wind event.
And yes, of course I know about Santa Ana winds.
And the Santa Ana winds are frequent.
They're a frequent occurrence in Southern California.
And there are these very strong winds that come through.
And they come through, you know, a handful of times every year.
And they do often cause destruction.
They do often cause wildfires.
But first of all, they usually don't happen in January.
They usually actually happen in a little bit of the warmer months or a little bit like warmer weather.
But it often happens in October or November or the springtime.
Usually doesn't happen in January, especially when it's so cold outside.
So that's number one.
Number two, to me, it just felt a lot stronger than any typical Santa Ana wind that I've ever been in.
It really looked and felt the way the trees were moving, the amount of force and destruction felt very hurricane-like and felt very strong and extreme and geoengineered-like.
And I've talked to a lot of other people.
That live in Southern California, and they say the same, that this did not feel like a typical Santa Ana win event.
This did not feel like a typical windy type of event where they've been in in many, many decades and years.
This, they've never seen something like this.
You know, and hey, maybe you live in L.A. and you disagree with me.
That's fine.
I'm just sharing my opinion and my experience.
Another thing is there are just a lot of these different anomalies.
So a lot of the reservoirs where the fire hydrants get their water from were empty.
They weren't being filled up to conserve water, I guess.
So firefighters are trying to put out these fires, and they can't because there's not enough water in the fire hydrant reservoir.
I mean, what?
So you know these fires are coming, or you know these winds are coming, and they often create fires.
And it happens every year.
And you're not going to fill up the damn reservoirs for the fire hydrants so that there's water to put out the fire.
I mean, that is, again, just speaks to a lot of people would say that's just stupidity and negligence.
And sure it is.
But it's also at this point, it's by design.
It's planned.
It's orchestrated.
It's evil.
It is not just dumb.
It's not just negligence.
These people that are orchestrating these things, they're not dumb.
They're very sophisticated.
They pretend they're dumb.
They play dumb.
They play, you know, incoherent or somebody who's ineffective.
But in reality, this is all planned.
This is all by design.
They want to destroy these areas.
So their fire reservoirs did not have enough water in them.
And, of course, they pour out thousands or millions of gallons of water every year in Southern California to the ocean.
Unbelievable.
And they got rid of a lot of dams to protect the smelt fish.
So they can protect smelt fish, apparently, but they can't protect human beings, Americans who live there.
It goes on and on, like the level of negligence and stupidity, but of course, by design.
Of course, now we have also we're missing over 150 firefighters that were fired in the last couple of years because they didn't take the COVID vaccine.
You know, the L.A. mayor and fire, you know, firemen are saying we don't have enough firefighters.
Actually, we're low on firefighters to fight these fires.
We're abysmally low.
So they cut over 150 firefighters in the L.A. county because they didn't take the COVID vaccine.
So it was more important for the mayor to the mayor of Los Angeles and Gavin Newsom and everybody else to lose fires, firefighters, and to Not protect people from fire and to punish people, firefighters, good firefighters that they need for not taking the COVID jab than to help their citizens, their people in times of need.
Unbelievable.
Unbelievable.
So that was another obvious huge misstep.
We don't have enough firefighters because we cut them.
They wouldn't comply.
The list goes on and on.
Now, another couple things that I saw that was just weird is that when I was driving through the path of destruction, I see little planes making chemtrails or spraying the skies or whatever it is they're doing up there.
It did not look like contrails.
It looked like chemtrails.
You know, post these videos right now as I'm talking about it so you can see what looks like chemtrails or spraying of the skies or something.
This was happening right as I was driving through and I was taking these videos.
This feels to me like it was clearly directed energy weapons, that it was clearly weather manipulation.
There's just no other way, again, to describe the suddenness of it, the extreme.
The force behind this and the destruction that it's caused.
It makes you wonder.
And then, of course, you know, a lot of people say, well, you know, kind of happened to no better people.
These very, very rich people and celebrities who are losing their homes, who have multimillion dollar homes.
And they a lot of them probably are liberal and Democrat and voted.
For Gavin Newsom.
And voted for these liberal policies that have led to the destruction of their homes and this negligence of fire.
So they voted it in.
They get what they deserve.
A lot of people might say, Californians, why are you staying there?
Why do you keep voting for Newscom and for these policies?
And there's some truth to that, too.
I gotta say, I mean, yes, these are the people that they keep voting these same policies in.
They're sitting in their multi-million dollar homes.
And they don't care about the homeless problem because it doesn't affect them.
They don't care about these policies really because typically it doesn't affect them.
But now it finally does affect them.
So maybe at this point they'll consider voting for someone like Trump who's going to actually help them instead of Karen Bass who's going to be in Ghana, by the way.
She's been in Ghana this week instead of in Los Angeles for a great part of the week and not help them.
Maybe they'll finally wake up.
Maybe that's what it takes.
But my prayers are with them.
And what we got to wonder when an event like this happens, just like in Maui, just like in North Carolina, what is there in this path of the fire and these winds that the deep state wants so badly?
Why do they want people out of their homes?
It's obviously a land grab, just like in Maui, just like in North Carolina.
This to me feels like an exact duplicate of that.
It's a land grab.
It's the same playbook.
So what is in that path?
Why do they want all these people gone from their homes?
Or what lies beneath it?
Is there more lithium there?
Is there more precious resources or metals or, you know, precious minerals that they need and want?
And the only way they can access it is if they get people off of their homes.
So that's something we have to keep looking at and follow.
Why?
Why, why, why?
There's always going to be a why.
Does this also correlate with Gavin Newsom and the left's 15-minute smart cities that they're trying to create furiously in the next couple years?
They want people off their homes so they can turn these areas into smart cities or create a rail?
I know that Gavin Newsom and the left have been wanting to create a rail system that goes up and down California, and especially Southern California, that's going to make people not dependent on cars and get rid of.
And just walk and take the rail system everywhere.
This is all part of the smart grid and the smart cities plan.
And, you know, hey, what better way to get people out of their homes than a hurricane or a fire, a massive fire?
Unbelievable.
So that's where my money's on is what is there that they need so badly.
And we're going to find the answer to that really soon, I think.
People are already speculating about what this could be.
And then what's even more sinister, too, on top of that, is that State Farm and farmers and the major insurance companies canceled their fire insurance and home insurance a couple months ago, a couple months before this happened.
It became too expensive for them to insure them because of the rate of these wildfires increasing.
They couldn't pay them back as much.
I mean, they were starting to go broke, these insurance companies.
They let go of their fire insurance and home insurance a couple months ago for many of these people.
And they were sort of, these companies were forced to go out of state.
So a lot of these homes that are being destroyed are going to have no way to compensate for it.
They're not going to have fire insurance or home insurance, which is, again, really all according to plan, isn't it?
How sinister does that get?
Are they going to get another whopping $700?
From Gavin Newsom to help them?
$700 to help them with their needs after they've been living in a multi-million dollar home for the last greater part of their life?
We'll see what kind of checks that they hand out.
Or maybe they'll be treated better than those in North Carolina.
What do you think about this?
Comments below.
Do you think this is a typical Santa Ana win event?
Do you think this was geoengineered?
Was this a direct energy weapon?
What do you guys think?
Put in the comments below because I want to know what your thoughts are.
Was this obviously a geoengineered event?
And of course, that's what Dane Wiginton would say.
My friend Dane Wiginton would absolutely say that.
We'll have him on the show too.
But what do you think?
And then what do you think the motive is for this?
Because there's always a motive.
So now, although this is definitely not a joke, this is not a laughing matter.
We've got to highlight some of these videos just of Gavin Newsom and some of these California politicians that have led, that really underscores the stupidity and negligence, but also the evil behind them and what their plans are.
Because this, again, I don't believe this is just negligence or stupidity.
This is by design.
Nobody's that stupid and gets elected.
No, this is by design.
This is pure evil.
That they are destroying people's livelihoods and homes and lives.
Check out Gavin Newsom in this video talking about how California reduced its own water storage capacity and removed dams because apparently fish matter a lot more than people do.
Check out Gavin Newsom explaining this.
And one of the most significant, if not the most significant, water restoration project, bringing back salmon and steelhead into this basin.
This project could not have happened without extraordinary partnerships with tribal nations and, of course, our partners in the North and Oregon.
We just finished a celebration with the Secretary of the Interior and our tribal council and tribal leaders, and I couldn't be more proud as a Californian, and I couldn't be more proud as a And here's a video of Anderson Cooper on CNN asking Gavin Newsom the question of,
you know, hey, Trump has been calling you out for your horrible policies and your lack of preparedness here.
What do you say to him?
Gavin Newsom basically throws a little temper tantrum.
Let's watch this clip.
We're in the public safety phase.
I hate to even ask this question, but the president-elect chose to attack you, blame you for this.
One can't even respond to it.
People are literally fleeing.
People have lost their lives.
Kids lost their schools.
Families completely torn asunder.
Churches burned down.
This guy wanted to politicize it.
I have a lot of thoughts, and I know what I want to say.
I won't.
I stood next to the president of the United States of America today, and I was proud to be with Joe Biden.
And he had the backs of every single person in this community.
He didn't play politics, didn't try to divide any of us.
And here's another clip of, again, Gavin Newsom, basically just doing what amounts to a photo op, a little photo op, while the houses are burning and everything else is burning down in his city.
Check this out.
And all he could do is really muster up a little photo op.
Check this out in his hat and his pants.
And here is Los Angeles incompetent mayor Karen Bass in Ghana.
She was in Ghana for the first part of all these wildfires and disasters.
In Ghana because Ghana is more important than, of course, her own citizens.
And she was asked these questions by this.
A tenacious reporter who is really great, and he said, why are you in Ghana while your city is burning down?
And do you have anything to say to your people in Los Angeles?
Do you have anything to say to them?
Are you sorry?
Do you care for them?
And she just has no response.
She's sitting there like a deer in headlights looking at him, without so much as just to craft any kind of response.
Hey, this is a tragedy.
My heart and prayers are going out to you.
We're going to get this handled as quick as possible.
No comforting words at all.
It's disgusting and abysmal.
Check this out.
Do you owe citizens an apology for being absent while their homes were burning?
Do you regret cutting the fire department budget by millions of dollars, Madam Mayor?
Have you nothing to say today?
Have you absolutely nothing to say to the citizens today?
Elon Musk says that you're utterly incompetent.
Are you considering your position?
Madam Mayor, have you absolutely nothing to say to the citizens today who are dealing with this disaster?
No apology for them.
*Tonk* Do you think you should have been visiting Ghana while this was unfolding back home?
Yes.
Madam Mayor, let me ask you just let me ask you just again.
have you anything to say to the citizens today as you return?
Hold on, hold on, hold on.
They're going to come in.
Mayor, hold on one second.
Madam Mayor, just a few words for the citizens today as you return to deal with the catastrophe.
Can you take this down?
Thank you.
Now, what's crazy is that if it's true that these are just, you know, ordinary Santa Ana winds and they happen several times every year and they typically always lead to wildfires, you know, this is not uncommon, this is not due or...
Okay, if that's true, why isn't there a plan in place, a completely, you know, playbook plan in place to take care of these things when they come up and prevent as much damage as possible every time they arise?
Like Florida, for instance.
Could you imagine if Ron DeSantis had no preparation, no plan in place every time a hurricane came about in Florida?
No, he is probably the most prepared governor when things like this happen and weather events happen.
He is right on it.
He has a master plan that he rolls out every time.
He is proactive, preventative.
You know, his goal is to prevent the most amount of damage possible and to make sure that citizens are comforted, that they're safe, that there's a plan in place for them to evacuate.
And if there's any damage that occurs, which is going to happen with a hurricane, They're on it immediately, and they restore, they go right into restoration mode immediately.
And his preparedness, his proactiveness has greatly helped the damage, you know, when it comes to hurricanes, as much as he humanly could.
But imagine, I mean, every time that this happens in L.A. or Southern California, Gavin Newsom acts like it's a...
It's like the first time something like this has happened.
Like, oh my gosh, it's surprising.
Oh my gosh, there's all this damage.
There's wildfires.
Oh no.
But we're not going to make sure the fire hydrant reservoirs are filled up with water.
We're not going to make sure we have enough firefighters to treat these fires when they do come about.
No, no.
We're going to get rid of these dams to protect fish instead of humans.
We're going to cut the firefighters' budget by millions of dollars.
We're going to hire DEI people instead of actual real good quality firefighters.
No, you know, they go the complete opposite route.
And again, they act stunned or deer in headlines every time this happens.
Instead of, you know, just look at the case in Florida where they actually care about their citizens, they actually do things about it, and they actually are proactive and have a plan in place.
It just boggles my mind.
That's why it's so sinister.
And we know that there's a difference between, you know, I believe Ron DeSantis truly cares about Florida and truly wants it to prosper.
I believe Gavin Newsom and the left have hijacked California.
It once was a beautiful state.
It is a beautiful state, but it's been destroyed, hijacked, and they don't care about California anymore or Californians.
They care about turning it into...
Their dream, which is like one giant smart city, a 15-minute city, has railways everywhere, and you're living in a pod.
They want it to be like this leftist dystopian dream.
That's what they want to turn it into, and that's why they want to destroy it, and that's why they allow these fires to happen, and truly, I believe, are the ones behind these fires.
I mean, they're so big.
Check this one out right now.
This is...
Completely a separate fire now in the Hollywood Hills, destroying all these incredible famous landmarks in the Hollywood Hills.
And this is in a separate location.
This is why you know that there's something really sinister going on here and planned.
Check out this.
They're getting water on the fire, but there are embers blowing uphill, and now a new fire.
Go ahead.
Over to the left, there's another structure catching on fire near the top of this hill.
This is directly up from Veneta and Sunswept Drive.

When we caught wind of this one here, which is really rip-roaring at a pretty steady pace and flying up that hillside with those embers already starting secondary fires.
And here's another video of people in Los Angeles saying that they had no evacuation order.
They had no time.
They said the fire came out of nowhere.
Fire crews are having to drive by burning houses because of lack of personnel.
Insurance is removed, water removed.
Of course, all this money is being sent to Ukraine.
This is so sick.
Check out this video.
My heart goes out, obviously, to the people at their homes.
And I'm watching the small businesses around us go up in flames.
This is people's livelihoods.
So it's devastating.
But what is most concerning to me is our first responders and our firefighters who are trying to battle this.
There's no water in the Palisades.
There's no water coming out of the fire hydrants.
This is an absolute mismanagement by the city.
It's not the firefighters' fault, but it's by the city.
And I'm going to be very honest.
We've got a mayor that's out of the country, and we've got a city that's burning, and there's no resources to put out fires.
So if you look at your pictures, you don't see the firefighters there because there's nothing they can do.
And it looks like we're in a third world country here.
And we've got a lot of tough questions that we need to ask the mayor and the city council and our representatives and the county representatives.
Why didn't you work to mitigate this?
What was your brush mitigation program?
I heard you earlier talking about it's been dry because it hasn't been rain.
That's not the biggest problem here.
The brush up in these hills.
That are controlled by the city and the county.
I would bet you that if they haven't been handled, mitigated, pruned, removed for probably 30 or 40 years.
This was a disaster waiting to happen.
And what's predictable is preventable.
And who's paying the price are all of these people in their homes and their businesses tonight.
Now we'll rebuild.
But the majority of this community is going to have a tough time rebuilding their lives.
And here's a video of Joe Biden at a press conference talking about California wildfires, where he stops short to mention that he's a great-grandfather, to try to name-drop that he's a great-grandfather.
Check this out.
Unbelievable. Unbelievable.
Thank you.
And now, I guess this clip is verified.
I don't know for sure, but I guess that's what it says.
It says, firefighters are forced to use women's handbags to fill with water due to lack of equipment.
This is not a joke.
These men literally don't have enough basic fire equipment to handle their jobs.
Check this out.
This is unbelievable.
One of the most fire-prone areas on Earth, and they don't have enough fire equipment or personnel.
What is this?
What in the world?
The firemen don't have hoses, so they're like literally using purses?
Women's handbags?
Filling up women's handbags to put out fires.
Look at this!
What in the world?
LAFD Fire Department using women's handbags to put out fires.
What is going on here?
Have you guys ever seen this in your life?
Look!
And here's some other videos that apparently are videos of lasers being shot into the trees and the mountains.
And again, I can't 100% verify these videos, but they're from a reliable source.
These are videos of apparent lasers being shot into these areas.
Check this out.
He's like, psyched the car.
And then after it goes through, you go to just, you know, it's a monthly charge.
Yeah.
You go back.
And he was like, look, he can't.
What the f*** is that, dude?
Unbelievable.
Thank you.
Unbelievable.
And here's one last video of a woman just angry, so angry, saying that they canceled.
She's been a customer of one of these major insurance companies like State Farm for years and years, and then they suddenly canceled her fire insurance just a couple months ago, and they have no ability to get this money back and all this damage back.
This is exactly what my dad, by the way, my dad, my family members, so many of them are insurance agents, and they work for these major insurance companies.
And they've been saying this for months now, that if a major fire happens, there's not going to be anything they can really do about it.
It's really frightening, because they have lost the ability to offer fire insurance.
So check this video out.
They're waving me down.
Hi there!
That's fine.
You decided not to leave.
I know I'm not supposed to be here, but this is my parents' home.
I know the feeling.
And they just lost, they got canceled from their fire insurance.
So they're dealing with this.
They're 90 years old.
And through the state of California, because of this, they're 90 years old.
that they've had they've lived in this house for 75 years and they've had the same insurance and these insurance people decided to cancel their fire and we're going through this and it just happened and they have no fire insurance so thank you California insurance companies supporting Residents who pay taxes and
love California.
And they wonder why people leave California.
First and foremost, you did get your parents out safely.
I live in Sierra Madre and my parents are in Sierra Madre, but...
And now you know that it is under evacuation as well north of Sierra Madre Boulevard.
Yeah, I snuck here.
You know, there's a will, there's a way.
Probably shouldn't do it, but you know what?
Under the circumstances, send me to jail.
That's fine.
It is unbelievable what's happening here to the neighbors.
Your parents' house is still standing.
You had a hose.
You're doing what you can.
I mean, I have a hose.
It doesn't compare to these beloved...
Wow.
It's just unbelievable.
If you look at this footage, what's happening, this so feels just very orchestrated, very planned, and it's evil.
It's nothing short of evil and sick.
So sad.
My heart goes out to you that you guys in L.A. and California are the victims of this freak show, of this evil.
We'll see in a couple of years from now what they turn these areas into, and it will all make sense.

Why is Kingdom Fuel so much better than a lot of other supplements and nutritional supplements out there?
This is a really, really good shake.
My favorite, by the way, is the vanilla, but I've got the vanilla and the chocolate.
Well, Kingdom Fuel is not just a protein shake.
It has organic pea protein, full spectrum, full amino acid profile, 20 grams of protein.
But it's also got added to it greens and reds.
A lot of people buy those separately.
It's got vitamins and minerals, insoluble and insoluble fiber.
That is a complete meal, and it's under $5 per serving.
And people use three scoops.
But guess what?
Most people don't.
They use one or two.
So you're talking about a full, complete meal.
And the shelf life is two years.
If you don't open it, pretty cool.
Oh yeah, absolutely.
And if we're in any kind of apocalypse, you can pretty much eat this all day.
You can't.
And a cereal.
And be really, really healthy.
Alright, cool.
And guys, you can find the Kingdom Fuel line of products at Dr. Sherwood's website, of course, Sherwood.tv.
And use promo code SHOTS to get 30% off.
Again, that's promo code SHOTS to get 30% off.
I love this shake.
It's amazing, great, and keeps me healthy.
Welcome back to Shots Fired and welcome to January 2025. It's a new year.
This last year flew by really fast.
I'm kind of okay to say goodbye to that year.
And I'm excited to start a brand new year and with a brand new president.
So that's going to be exciting.
I think there's going to be new energy, fresh energy.
It's what we need.
It's what our bodies need with making America healthy again.
And it's what our country needs.
So, of course, what would New Year's be without New Year's resolutions?
And especially New Year's resolutions around our health.
One of the first things that we do when we go into a new year is typically Americans think about, what New Year's resolutions can I make?
And especially when it comes to losing weight or getting in better shape or being healthier.
And what would being healthier and getting healthier We'll include without our great friend, naturopathic doctor, Dr. Mark Sherwood, our best and favorite doctor of our show and our network.
So he's joining us today to talk about New Year's resolutions and what are things that people do wrong with New Year's resolutions around our health?
What are things that people can do to ensure that they kick off to a successful start and we don't just give up on our resolution in a couple of weeks?
And what are some things that can ensure that we do follow through on our New Year's resolutions, especially when it comes to our health, because it is so important.
So, Dr. Sherwood, always great to have you, and Happy New Year to you!
Yeah, Happy New Year.
Here we are in 2025. I love the intro about everything being new.
It really is.
We have a fresh opportunity right now with a fresh motivation.
Cleanse late.
Fresh direction, so it's good.
Okay, awesome.
So what are some things, so based on, so New Year's resolutions, okay, that's our theme for today.
Should we start with where people might go wrong typically or what typically happens when we make New Year's health resolutions that you see especially?
Well, we have a funny name for this month here in January.
We call it the month of repentance because everybody...
It's so off course over the holidays, and then we get back on course.
I know.
We do get off course, yes.
Gain weight.
I think the typical average American gains at least five pounds during the holiday season.
I don't know if that's correct.
Yeah, I think it's probably more than that at this point in time because of the obesity crisis we have.
But, you know, I appreciate people wanting to set resolutions.
Let's just say that.
That's beautiful because that's an awareness.
That something is wrong.
It's an awareness that something needs to change.
So I think we put that out there.
If a person is listening right now and has set a resolution, good on you.
There's two things you did.
You set a goal.
The other thing you did is you recognized there was a problem.
That's the key to success in anything in life.
But what people do wrong is this.
They set unrealistic goals.
For example, just one example, and I'll give you maybe a couple here.
Like, I go to the gym, right?
There is something called a Black Friday and something called a Cyber Monday, which we had back in November.
It's when those businesses turn a profit.
Well, January is Black January for gyms, because you're going to see all kinds of members there, people roaming around, and with this new gung-ho spirit, they're going to work out their fat away, and they set goals unrealistic.
I tell people, if you're going to get a gym membership, Commit to going there two to three days a week and no more for the first month because you can burn yourself out.
You can get overly sore.
You can work too hard and leave nothing in the gas tank.
You have no hunger to get back.
So that's one error that I think.
The second one is people set unrealistic and difficult challenging things with diet.
They'll say, I'm going to eat healthy five days a week, and I'm only going to eat unhealthy two days a week.
That's the wrong angle.
Instead, choosing to eat real food that brings life and health to you every day.
One day at a time.
And you start right there.
And if you stay in those two areas I just talked about, you'll see yourself achieving your goals much more efficiently.
I like that a lot.
And it's also about when people say, I'm going to start this new diet, and I'm going to eat clean 80% of the time, and then I'm going to have one or two cheat days a week.
The reason why that's wrong is there's the mentality about it where that is wrong-founded, wrong-headed, and it really should be, like you said, choosing a lifestyle.
I'm going to choose a healthier lifestyle because it's all part of this lifestyle, and if you truly believe that eating healthier, whole foods, unprocessed food is a positive thing for you, it's not something that's going to lead to feeling starved or feeling deprived somehow.
That you need a cheat day.
Then, you know, then you're going to be setting yourself up for more success.
Like, I feel better.
My life will be better.
I will look better when I choose to eat clean and non-processed foods every day.
Then you're going to set yourself up more for success than believing that those things are kind of like this depravity, starvation mode, and the junk food is like the exciting stuff.
Right.
I like how you put that.
I was talking to a person just yesterday, and it was involving a 10-year-old girl that has seizures.
And the reason I bring that up is because seizures can be treated with a ketogenic diet.
And they really have.
It's been historically known.
And we're going through this stuff, and they asked me, can we have a cheat day?
And so it was an object lesson opportunity to tell them that cheating is not okay in school.
It's not okay in relationships.
It's not okay in athletics.
It's not okay in life.
It's not okay with your taxes.
Why did we in America make cheating okay with our health when it's the greatest gift we have?
It's more valuable than any of those things, right?
And so with that term, we need to shape it in a different way.
We do have the greatest country on planet Earth, and we do get to choose what we want to do anytime we want.
You can choose to eat a salad or you can choose to eat a cookie.
And that's okay.
We just need to understand the consequences of them.
And I think we all agree that sugars and processed foods are not healthy.
And so our objective then is to take an education and make the best decision being full well aware of the consequences in which we've got to deal with.
And as long as we accept that, then we're probably in good shape.
But that mindset switch can help us out a lot.
Yeah, absolutely.
Okay, great.
And any other tips for losing weight faster or sticking to people's health goals longer than just a couple weeks?
Yeah, don't diet.
The diet term, I can't stand that term.
Diet is about deprivation.
Diet is focusing on what you can't have.
I give people, generally, in my wife and I's life here, we give people a big, large, anti-inflammatory food list.
It's big.
And we tell them, you can have as much as you want.
I like that.
Anytime you want.
Eat as much as you want.
If you're hungry, eat it.
If you're not, don't.
We don't care.
Don't count calories.
Don't diet.
And that is such a relief for people.
They're like, oh my gosh, that's so cool.
And then a little bit of, you know, personal touch here.
I tell people to start off and get at least one Kingdom Fuel shake in.
Because that's going to give you great nutritional insight and great taste to start for your day.
Because most people...
We're going to know where to start the day.
If you start the day well, you can finish up better.
But if you're starting the day poor and trying to catch up, you're going to have more odds that it won't turn out well.
So start the morning with like a Kingdom Fuel or like Kingdom Candy or Kingdom Crunch.
All these things are great benefits to people to have for specifically starting and maintaining good habits.
Absolutely.
Now, a question about Kingdom Fuel.
Some people, now again, that come from the dieting mindset, they might think, okay, a kingdom fuel, how many calories is that going to be to start a day with?
And they might think, is that too many calories to start?
They might think of it like a milkshake or a protein shake.
But what would you say to those people who think, who's scared of having a lot of calories early in the morning?
Well, I'd tell him to understand that the calorie science is flawed.
Right.
The body does not operate on calories.
Calories are nothing more than theoretical elements of potential energy.
Theoretical being the key word.
We all break down foods differently.
Our gut microbiome is different.
I tell people to ignore calories, to ignore the science, because it's just as bad as saying cholesterol is bad.
It's just the same.
It's the same faux science that's proved doctrinally flawed.
And so I tell people with Kingdom Fuel, it is a whole meal.
And mix it up to your choosing.
If you want to mix in some fruit, you want to mix in some avocados, some leaves and vegetables and blend it up, that's great.
If you want to mix it with water, that's great.
If you want to put some unsweetened almond milk, coconut milk in it, that's great.
Enjoy.
Get your kids on it.
Get your kids in a fun mode.
Say, you know, like, what kind of fruit smoothie do you want today?
It's not just a protein drink.
It's a whole meal.
And how you start your day, nutritionally speaking, is how you fuel your engine to take the journey that you're taking that day.
Yeah, I like that.
And, you know, when you're eating the right foods, you don't look at, you know, calories don't matter, right?
Like you said.
I mean, if you're eating maybe junk food all day and, you know, Coke all day, drinking Pepsi all day and stuff like that, then...
Then maybe calories matter at some point, right?
Or they just never matter at all.
Well, I think calories, again, shouldn't become part of our discussion.
We should understand that it is nutrients that drives our system.
So vitamins, minerals, amino acids, fatty acids, these are known as micronutrients, which come from our macronutrients, which are proteins, carbs, and fats.
So just a simple little analogy here you can see.
You can understand that a 2,000 calorie Bowl of something that contains nothing but processed foods and sugars, compared with a 2,000 calorie bowl of something that contains heavy amounts of micronutrients, you can see how one would provide more information in a way that brings benefits to the body, and the other one would be lacking in micronutrients.
So when we lack micronutrients, of course the body kicks in that...
Wonderful thing called hunger.
So in the same situation, you could see you would generate more hunger by eating a nutrient-poor high-calorie diet as opposed to a nutrient-dense unknown calorie diet.
So it's like it is also cheaper and more reasonable to consume healthy foods because of that very function right there because we eat less when we're satisfied.
Yeah, absolutely.
Awesome.
I'm glad you cleared that up for people.
And lastly is, what do you think about people doing like a dry January or a dry February where they just remove, if they're someone like they like to drink wine or something else, you know, they remove alcohol completely for a couple weeks or for a month to kind of kickstart their health again.
Do you believe that's a good thing for people to do?
I do.
I do, because, like, alcohol is a toxin.
I mean, there's no question about that.
Some people break it down genetically quickly.
Some people don't.
Some people have better detox pathways than other people.
But ultimately, if it's one thing that you do like that, it's always going to be a benefit.
Because sometimes people can, you know, there's nothing wrong with having a glass of wine.
But when the glass of wine begins to have you...
That becomes the problem.
And so the having you is one of addiction.
It's one of cultural flaws, let's say, cultural things we do that causes problems.
And it could be something you don't know.
It could be something of poor detox pathways with regard to the toxin effect of alcohol.
Yeah, absolutely.
That's great.
All right, cool.
Well, I think that's a good start for a lot of people.
And then lastly, I'm going to throw a curveball at you real quick before we wrap up, is this horrendous set of wildfires happening in Southern California, just wreaking havoc and devastation across L.A. and Pacific Palisades and Southern California.
Unbelievable.
Do you have any advice for people that are caught up in there with smoke all around, how to potentially protect themselves from the damage of this smoke and fire that they're being surrounded in?
Yeah, my heart goes out to those people, Deanna.
I mean, I don't care.
It's not about political parties.
It's not about who's governor or mayor.
I don't give a rip.
It's not that.
It's loving people.
And we need to do everything we can to pray for them and support them in all ways possible, politics aside.
But what people can do is understand that smoke rises.
So if you can think, get low.
I mean, fire department people are taught that.
Get low because the smoke rises.
Cover your mouth and see if you can get some clean air to breathe.
So stay low if you're in the middle of a smoke-filled area.
At the same time, stay well hydrated because many times those smoking particles can come in and they need to be detoxified out.
So we need to stay hydrated so our body can eliminate well.
And even back to the nutritional point, the better our detox pathways work, the better these Charred particles, which can represent heterocyclic amines or polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons, you know, that come to most fires, not to mention the toxic chemicals that can come up as a fire goes across some toxic waste products and incinerates that as well.
So it's a pathway for problems, so people need to put extra effort into hydration, breathing, fresh air.
And detox pathways.
Awesome.
Yeah, and our prayers definitely go out to the victims of these horrific conditions in Southern California.
All right.
Well, thanks, Dr. Sherwood.
We always appreciate you.
Thanks for coming on and Happy New Year to you.
Tell everybody, of course, again, where they can find you and follow you.
Well, people can go to sherwood.tv forward slash shots, and we talk about a lot of stuff on here, but people can use the code SHOTS and save 30% off everything we talk about.
So we talk about reasonable ways to generate good habits.
That's the best it gets.
Yeah, absolutely.
I do the stuff that you do, and I think people should take advantage of that to help them on their journeys to best health.
Amen.
All right.
Well, thanks so much, Doctor.
Guys, we love you and stay safe.
