Hey, guys.
Well, I'm here with my favorite doctor, Dr.
Mark Sherwood, here today.
And guess what I just got?
It is a giant box of a Kingdom Crunch cereal.
His new line of cereal called Kingdom Crunch, and this particular flavor is Acai Bowl.
And let me tell you, it is so, so, so, so, so tasty and delicious.
But besides from it being so tasty, I have Dr.
Sherwood here to tell us why it's so good for you, too, and why it's so amazing and should be in everyone's cover.
So what's up with this incredible cereal that you sent me that I can't stop eating, Dr.
Sherwood?
Well, many times when we hear the word cereal, we think unhealthy, poisonous chemical, carcinogenic.
Shouldn't be eating it.
That is quite the opposite.
High protein, zero added sugars, organic ingredients, and healthy fats such as medium-trained triglycerides.
Deanna, that should be in everyone's cupboard, in every child's mouth, every day.
That is truly healthy and life-giving for kids.
I recommend it all the way.
Not because I made it, but because it solves a real problem in today's world.
Excuse me, I can't stop eating it, but I gave it to my son, Maverick, who also loves cereal, but I don't want him to eat cereal except for this.
This is really, really good.
It's really tasty.
It actually tastes like real acai in your mouth.
And it's packed full of all these nutrients and no sugar, right?
No added sugar?
That's insane.
How is it so sweet then?
Yeah, we use stevia, monk fruit, and some allulose there, all of which, get this, are diabetic friendly.
They won't raise blood sugar, which is another benefit.
I've had people ask me, can I eat that if I'm diabetic?
Yes, you can, and you can fix your diabetes.
Yay!
Awesome.
Well, this is so good.
Where can everybody find this Kingdom Crunch cereal?
They can find it at sherwood.tv forward slash shots and use your discount code to save.
Promo code SHOTS. Promo code SHOTS and they can save some money out there and support your program.
Absolutely.
All right, go to sherwood.tv promo code SHOTS and pick up this delicious Kingdom Crunch cereal today.
Welcome back to Shots Fired.
Well, it has been one week since the historic Trump win.
Yes, Donald J. Trump won the presidential election last week in a pretty historic landslide that happened, you know, just right in front of our eyes.
I mean, it was like a sea of red all over the country on all over the maps.
One state, but the next one, the next one, the next one.
It was it was pretty incredible to see that and to see such a resounding, a clear determination of this is what America wants.
This is what America is supposedly voting for.
This is incredible.
So, you know, I have to say, I mean, I'm excited for it.
I'm, of course, you know, wanted Donald J. Trump to win.
I do not want Kamala Harris to win.
But at the same time, we know that there's, for the most part these days, it's the elections are people being selected, not elected.
And is this just another selection?
Is this another Deep state selection.
Did the deep state allow him to win?
Do they want him to win?
Do they want him to be in power?
Or did he just kind of slip by us again, slip by them again and somehow kind of counteract all of their attacks and destruction and plots and plans?
I mean, what happened here?
And as excited as I am for Trump to be president again, I'm not naive like I was Eight years ago.
And I know that there's two sides to every story.
And there could be some other plans at play behind this.
And we do need to be critical and explore everything.
So who better to talk about this than one of my favorites, Charlie Robinson, the host of Macroaggressions podcast, joining us who never shies away from controversy and sharing his opinions that are outside the typical norm, like Fox News and Newsmax.
So, first of all, Charlie, welcome back to Shots Fired.
How are you doing?
I'm doing fine.
Thanks for having me.
It's good to be back.
Great to be back.
So, tell me, first of all, what was your reaction?
Were you watching election night?
And what did you think was going to happen?
And then what happened?
Was it different than what you were thinking or expecting?
Tell me just kind of your overall reaction on election night.
Well, I did not.
I got home from a long trip the night before, and I stayed home all day, and I determined I wasn't going to watch TV all day and do that.
And I didn't.
I checked in on the phone every now and then and took a look to see what was going on.
My thoughts going in were as follows.
If it was fair, Trump was going to stomp her.
Yeah.
If they cheated, Kamala was going to get in, right?
And we know that they can cheat.
And when you look back now on that chart Zero Hedge put out with the number of votes that came in that bar chart and you see how- Oh, that's so funny.
10 to 20 million votes extra in 2020, and you take a look at that and you go, I'm sorry, that's just not possible.
We all understand what was going on.
We were screaming about it at the time that they stole it.
But you mentioned selection versus election, and Donald Trump is cautiously optimistic about the future.
It was a repudiation of the Democrats' insane...
Cultural Marxism that they're pushing.
The DEI, the wokeness, everybody's trans, all of that, that is incompatible with the majority of Americans.
They don't like that.
They made it clear voting.
But if you if you go just by what the media says, the media will have you believe that that is a belief system that is embraced by everybody.
And that, in fact, if you aren't on board with that, you're somehow a bigot.
So it's it really kind of shut them up in a way that's that didn't give them any room.
Right.
It wasn't like a close, close victory.
It was a stomping.
And so I look at that, that is a fantastic thing, right?
So that whole component, trying to transition children and wanting to talk to children early on about, you know, all of that stuff has to go away.
But this is like a choose-your-own-adventure book, right?
Either way you go, either candidate gets in, you're going to have a whole new set of problems, right?
So we both understand that Trump is better than Kamala, but...
Trump brings his own problems and that is his undying loyalty to Israel and groups like that.
So so when you you ask about the election versus selection, well, you know, we can talk about the presidents or you're given a choice between two flawed candidates.
Right.
So you're already that it's not really an election in a true sense.
But but where the selection part comes in is in establishing all of these high level cabinet positions.
That is really where you get the flexibility to select people.
And how much of this is within his control, meaning he's being told to do this?
I mean, Mariam Adelson didn't give him $100 million for nothing, right?
She wants something in return.
Now, it could be that her interests and his interests...
Align perfectly, and it doesn't feel like he's compromising himself.
He may think, wow, I was going to put these people in anyway, so I'll take her $100 million.
It's not like I'm selling out.
He's an Israel-first Zionist himself, so he doesn't need to be convinced, right?
So he's already on that team.
But then the selections, of course, will reflect that attitude.
It will reflect the money that flowed into his account, who's financing that.
You're going to see...
You'll probably start to see people that are a little bit more friendly to big tech with his election of J.D. Vance and then the backing of Peter Thiel and Elon Musk in this group.
So you're going to see some things that are going to be different.
All in all, it's...
I mean, I don't know.
I'm hesitant to say I'd rather have these problems because, I mean, these guys could very easily start World War III.
But I will say that from a America-centric focus, way better than the Kamala regime.
Socially, economically.
I talked to a couple of my sponsors today.
They're business owners.
And they were, you know, they don't like the government either.
I mean, they're not red team, blue team, like most of us in this space are.
They acknowledge that there's real problems with it.
But they admitted, with Trump in office, I feel like I can at least plan a couple years out.
I feel like I know that things will at least be where they are now, if not a little bit better, hoping that it'll be better, at least in terms of like things that you can control.
And I'm not talking about an economic collapse that's out of their control, but like regulations and policies and taxes and things like that, and not insane woke regulations that come out of nowhere and make you have to reimagine your restaurant because of COVID or whatever.
Right.
You know, so they see him as a pro-business person that gives them the confidence to then invest in their own business and start to grow and start to say, all right, we can do this.
I have some optimism.
So from that standpoint, I really appreciate the energy that he's infused into the business community because it had been bled out over the last four years.
How are you going to, what are you going to, you're going to open or you're going to expand your restaurant in San Francisco?
Yeah.
Really?
Now?
Are you crazy?
I mean, so if nothing else, it will bring a little bit more of the business.
It'll kick the business off a little bit more.
And let's be fair.
We could say whatever we want about Trump.
He's got something.
He's got a presence.
The other leaders look at him as a big dog.
They would not have felt that way about Kamala Harris.
They wouldn't have even known who they were speaking to.
Am I speaking to you?
Or is this really Obama?
Or is this a trilateral nation?
Who are you?
So from that standpoint, if you're an American who wants what's best for America, you can find a lot of positives with this for sure.
Yeah, definitely.
I mean, there's no doubt that there's a renewed optimism, confidence, a positive feeling, you know, like, yay, America's back again.
We're fighting for America.
There's American prosperity, red hats everywhere.
You feel more patriotic about the country.
There's not like this negative doom and gloom dark cloud all over the country like there was in the last administration and with Obama.
So, you know, there's no doubt I'm excited.
I mean, no doubt I'm much more optimistic about it.
So on a general level, on a high level, I think this is I'm excited about it.
Most people are.
But then again, you know, that's what happened with our last, you know, the last term, too.
And then there was some choices he made along the way that weren't great.
Some ways he was manipulated that caused the downfall of our country and through COVID, et cetera.
So let's like, you know, and we won't know that until it gets kind of going.
So let's talk about some of his picks so far, because like you said, that is really important, knowing where his head really is.
Is he really intending to deliver on these promises?
Yes.
Or is this kind of like another trick, potentially?
So what about Susie Wiles, first of all?
Susie Wiles, chief of staff that he named.
Do you know anything about her?
Do you think she's a good...
Not a ton.
Okay.
Not a ton.
Look, I assume that everybody leans towards Israel, right?
You just...
It goes back to that Noam Chomsky conversation that he had with this.
He was getting into a discussion with a BBC journalist, and the journalist says to him, what do you mean?
You're saying that I don't believe the things that I say here at the BBC? And he says, no, no, no.
What I'm saying is, if you believe something different, you wouldn't be there.
Right?
So I feel that it's the same thing with the Trump cabinet, is if you believed something different, you just wouldn't be there.
So there's an ideological uniformity to this group.
It's Israel first.
That's what it is.
And there are a few outliers there.
Matt Gaetz is an interesting one.
We'll talk about him.
But there's a few outliers there.
But for the most part, in terms of foreign policy...
That's what it is.
But that's not a real surprise.
We knew that going in.
We didn't love it, but we knew it.
So I can't say that I'm surprised by any of these picks.
Okay.
What about...
Okay, so we got...
We got Susie Wiles, Stephen Miller, and...
He returns.
He's a holdover.
I mean, he was in the previous one, he returned.
He's Deputy Chief of Staff for Policy and Homeland Security Advisor.
So he's a...
Trump loves this guy.
Yeah.
Trusts him.
You know, I mean, you know, wants him around him a second time.
I mean, that's something he...
And same with Dan Scavino.
He's returning as deputy chief of staff.
So he's already...
It looks like he's already made some decisions that he's going to need people around him that he truly trusts.
Now, for whatever reason...
And do you think that Dan Scavino is trustworthy?
Do you think Stephen Miller is trustworthy?
I don't know.
I would assume...
My default assumption is no on all of these people.
I don't trust anybody.
But he trusts them.
So it doesn't matter if I trust them.
He seems to trust them and he wants them or perhaps...
He believes that he is able to manipulate them in a way that he feels comfortable.
He has a relationship.
Maybe manipulate is a strong word.
He knows how they work and he likes working with them.
Trust might even be a strong word too.
But he knows that he can use them to do the things he needs to do.
He's used them before and This is a guy who comes out of the business world, right?
So he knows that some guys are better than others, right?
And if you get someone that's good, you put them in a position to succeed.
And if you get a chance to work with them again like that, you bring them back.
So in his mind, these are guys that are loyal to him.
Okay.
All right.
How about Marco Rubio for Secretary of State?
Tulsi Gabbard for Director of National Intelligence?
Yeah.
How about those two so far?
So Marco Rubio is maybe...
He might be the worst pick.
Yeah.
He's trying...
He's a...
He's deeply compromised by Israel.
Really?
He comes.
Yeah.
Yeah.
He he's a hardcore Zionist.
He he raised money from Sheldon Adelson before he passed away.
He got him to endorse him and and shook him down for money for for races in the past.
And he's a loyal.
He's a he's a he's a dummy, right?
He's a puppet.
He's the perfect Israeli cutout.
Because he doesn't look Israeli.
He's Cuban.
So they don't...
You don't see the Cuban Zionist coming, right?
You're not expecting that one.
But I assure you, he's deeply owned by Israel.
He's trying to run a color revolution in Venezuela right now, which is really concerning.
And if he were to become Secretary of State, which it looks like he's going to be, then Venezuela's on the map.
And Venezuela has been something that Trump has had his eye on for a while, and of course they're sitting on a ton of oil, and based on the Monroe Doctrine that says that the United States gets to control everything that happens in the Western Hemisphere, Venezuela's a fair game legally to us, which is why we sent seals down there that got intercepted and caught in the harbor, because they're trying to start a color revolution.
This is Marco Rubio stuff.
This is what he's doing.
So he's going to be awful as Secretary of State.
And I wonder about this pick.
I'll tell you what.
This might be some 4-D chess.
Let me lay this out.
Get him out of the Senate.
Get him into your cabinet real close to you so you can keep an eye on him.
Even though you don't trust him.
Trump's on the record not trusting this guy at all.
But you keep him close to you.
Make him vacate his seat.
Get a different guy in there who's more amenable to what you're doing.
Butter up Rubio for a while and then jettison him a year down the road.
Interesting.
Okay.
So, that's my conspiratorial...
If Trump is playing 4-D chess, maybe this could happen if you want to bet on a long shot.
I could see something like that happening.
Because otherwise, he's terrible.
He's an awful pick.
He got dismantled on the debate stage by Chris Christie.
Yeah.
Which is embarrassing.
When Chris Christie takes you apart, it's pretty bad.
He just kept saying, this is the 25-second speech you memorized.
I remember this is the speech.
He just kept doing it to him, and Rubio started on the speech, and he played to the audience and goes, see, it's the speech again, and it ended it.
And then Rubio dropped out after that.
So he's a weirdo.
Remember he drank water with two hands?
Yeah, exactly.
You drink a glass of water with two hands, everyone's like, what is wrong with this guy?
He's a weirdo.
He doesn't convey strength, really.
Not at all.
No, and he shouldn't convey strength, because he's completely owned by Israel.
And he knows that, and they know that.
And so when you hear him speaking, you might as well just put a Benjamin Netanyahu mask over him.
Yeah.
Okay, good.
Yeah, that's what I was thinking, too.
It's very suspicious.
What about Secretary of Defense Fox News' Pete Hegseth?
That's kind of an interesting pick.
Surprising.
Yeah, it's an interesting...
Yeah, this...
So this guy's been at Fox for 10 years.
He's a Christian Zionist.
He's...
Okay, so you hear him speak...
He does an interview I saw yesterday, and it was great.
It was like...
About the anti-woke military.
We're going to get this shit out of here.
That's what you said.
We're going to get this shit out of here.
And we're going to end this and the woke generals and all this stuff.
And we're trying to build a military force.
And you go, yes, yes.
Okay, good.
Yes, this is what I like this.
I like this.
And then he says that...
Israel needs to be protected at all costs.
It's the number one asset that we have, and we cannot, under any circumstances, give them up.
He's a proud Christian Zionist.
He says that Christianity and Zionism will save the Western world.
That's what he said.
And you just go, okay, automatic disqualification for this guy.
And this guy's going to be what?
He's going to be in charge of the Pentagon.
So Benjamin Netanyahu is going to be in charge of the Pentagon now.
Great.
What could possibly go wrong?
So I don't love these international picks.
Yeah.
Much at all.
Wow.
That's crazy.
But he'll get rid of the no more woke military, right?
Sure, but it's like, what's it all for then?
You know, it's like...
Right, yeah.
So that we can go fight on behalf of Israel and Iran or China or wherever he decides that we need to spend money.
It's such mixed messages.
It's totally mixed messages.
Yeah, you'd think if you were anti-woke, you'd also be, you know, anti-genocide.
Yeah.
But apparently, not this guy.
Okay.
And then what about this?
How do you think Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy are going to do in this newly created DOGE position, Department of Government Efficiency and Waste?
What do you think about that?
I mean, it's an interesting new position that they sort of created for themselves.
Yeah.
I am...
Okay, I don't like Elon Musk trying to put brain chips in people, okay?
No, me neither.
We'll say that.
However, I do like people...
I know a lot of his companies are government contracted funded.
And so that does put your thumb on the scale of fairness and everything.
But he's undeniably a brilliant mind when it comes to solving problems and create and solving big problems.
I would say that getting into the car business and getting into the rocket business, two of the most difficult and the banking business with X, which later became PayPal.
Those are three industries that are real high barriers to entry.
And he managed to do that, have success in all of those.
Right.
So he's somebody who understands money from the X PayPal side.
He's a dual major business and physics from UPenn and a, And so he understands the science behind things.
He's been working with the government for a long, long time on these government contracts for Tesla or for SpaceX, for Boring Company, for Starlink, for all of these.
He's a government contractor.
Yeah.
Which is not great, but also...
You also recognize all the inefficiencies when you're a government contractor, too.
You would be in there watching how the government works and seeing this.
And for somebody like Elon, who is hypersensitive to efficiency, it probably made him insane to have to work with the government.
He's probably used to like, oh, we put this on a deadline.
We do boom, boom, boom.
We're done.
And then he's waiting on an approval.
Approval from some government dipshit who takes four weeks longer and costs him $100 million.
So he probably has an incentive to want to just take an axe to a lot of these agencies.
And I am in favor of that.
I heard an interesting conversation with Vivek where he was...
I thought he was kidding.
And he said he was...
Apparently he's not.
He's talking about cutting...
Government employees.
Do you know how many government employees there are in America?
Take a wild guess.
In millions.
Take a wild guess.
In the millions?
Yeah.
5 million, maybe?
23 million government employees.
Wow, that's crazy.
Vivek says he's going to...
He's going to say, if you're a government employee and your social security number ends in an odd number, you're fired.
He goes, I'll cut 50% of the people out right there.
You won't even notice that they're gone.
He says, and then I'll take the rest that are there, and I'll say, if the first number of your Social Security number starts with an even number, you're fired.
He goes, now I got rid of 75%.
He goes, and we'll do that right off the bat.
He says, I'm going to pare down all these.
I'll cut all these agencies.
I think Elon said there's like...
400 and something agencies, and he's like, there should be no more than 99.
My anarchist heart is filled with joy when you hear cutting government agencies out.
I mean, I love that.
So I'm interested.
I'm open on that one.
I'm open to seeing where it is.
Knowing full well that Vivek, his company was involved in COVID shots, which obviously we saw what that was.
And Elon has his long list of things.
That being said...
If their job is to cut government waste and spending, they're going to find a lot of it.
And it's going to be interesting to see it.
And I'll tell you, one of the things that I have liked is that Elon is making all the right people crazy.
Yeah.
Notice that he's become like public enemy number two behind Trump.
Yeah, it's really gratifying watching.
Yeah, it's funny to watch people, like, they're all mad at him.
Why are you mad at him?
Because he's Trump.
He's Trump's new bestie.
Yeah, okay.
He's going to cut government waste.
You're mad about that?
I don't know.
It's weird to me.
I'm in favor of somebody coming in there and doing what needs to be done in terms of getting rid of some of these agencies.
Department of Education needs to be scrapped.
It is a stain on our country.
It is designed to keep people stupid and to create a generation of dummies.
And the sooner that goes away, I mean, fire every single person and close that whole department down.
Day one.
Absolutely.
I hope he does it.
So we'll see.
I'm not blackpilling.
I'm cautiously optimistic.
That's the one where I'd like to see some progress.
I mean, I think that could be a real win.
Yeah, I'm rooting for them.
I mean, it's like kind of a dream team in a way.
And it's cool to see this friendship evolve with, I mean, kind of what better best friend to have on your side right now than Elon Musk, who's sort of like a rock star lately, and he's very influential and powerful right now.
And he's the heads of, you know, one of the biggest, you know, big tech companies in the world and car companies.
So, yeah, it's I'm definitely interested to see this friendship evolve, you know, this partnership evolve and what this could do for our country.
And if if Trump doesn't go wayward with getting compromised or selling himself out, if he hasn't already done so, if he doesn't go wayward, then all of this could be, you know, an incredible thing for our country.
So I just got to be, you know, overall, I'm cautiously optimistic, but I'm definitely, I'm optimistic and I'm definitely cautious.
That's what I'll say.
And watching.
And you'd mentioned earlier about Tulsi as Director of National Intelligence.
So, She, you know, she's one of those.
It's like, I want to like her.
I like a lot of the things she says.
I really do.
I think she's probably better than most.
But there are some...
There are some components of her background that are undeniable.
She is a member of the World Economic Forum Young Global Leader.
She's a member of that program.
And she is a member of the U.S. Army Psychological Warfare Division currently.
So when somebody from the Psych Warfare Division is now going to be DNI, that's a problem.
But again, unfortunately, the DNI person isn't going to be drafted out of some fantastic corporation. the DNI person isn't going to be drafted out of It's going to come from some murky intelligence, some background.
You're going to have ties to intelligence.
She does.
She's in counterintelligence.
She's in psych warfare.
And so is that is that a benefit to the Department of National Intelligence?
I mean, those skills align.
You're going to be in the psychological warfare industry if you're the DNI. So, it makes sense.
She's a...
You know, there's pictures of her hugging Shmooley and Miriam Adelson, too.
So, you know, you see that and you go, oh, God.
I mean, again, like you have...
The relationship with Israel is a lock.
It's every one of these people is tied to them in some way, shape, or form.
There's loyalty.
It's either money or blackmail, or just they're ideologically aligned naturally.
Some of these people are, or they're just compromised in a way that's unbreakable.
Yeah.
So that's going to happen.
Now, within that, you sort of hope for some domestic wins.
You hope for that.
But this is the problem with getting enthusiastic about these politicians.
In the end, they're going to do what they're going to do.
Who's paying them?
Who's controlling them?
They're going to do that.
And sometimes the best we can hope for is that our goals luckily happen to line up with their goals and we get what we want simply because it's what they wanted or what their handlers wanted.
So, with Tulsi, maybe it'll go a little bit better.
I mean, she did just absolutely destroy Hillary Clinton once online, and that's great.
So, you know, you gotta love that.
And she goes on Rogan, and she seems like a human being, and she's, you know, and so you, oh, you wanna just...
I wanna root for her.
You wanna love her, but...
You have to recognize what her past is as well.
But I think that being said, again, we're going to look at the glass half full on some of this.
I mean, I think she's a human being.
I think she would want what's best for people.
I can't say the same about some of the other people.
I think that some of these people...
Yeah, I mean, I think she's a politician, but I think she's a human being first.
I can't say the same thing for Elise Stefanik, the U.S. ambassador to Israel that he nominated.
I'm pretty sure she's not a human being.
So, you know, but Tulsi, I hope.
I hope.
Yeah, I know.
All we can do is root for them, pray, pray for our country, pray that they go the right way, and be cautiously optimistic and skeptical, and ask questions, hold their feet to the fire.
I wish we had more time, Charlie, but we had some great discussions here, bringing out all our questions and skepticism, healthy skepticism, I think, for being a patriot.
We really appreciate you, Charlie.

Why is Kingdom Fuel so much better than a lot of other supplements and nutritional supplements out there?
This is a really, really good shake.
My favorite, by the way, is the vanilla, but I've got the vanilla and the chocolate.
Well, Kingdom Fuel is not just a protein shake.
It has organic pea protein, full spectrum, full amino acid profile, 20 grams of protein.
But it's also got added to it greens and reds.
A lot of people buy those separately.
It's got vitamins and minerals, insoluble and insoluble fiber.
That is a complete meal, and it's under $5 per serving.
And people use three scoops.
But guess what?
Most people don't.
They use one or two.
So you're talking about a full, complete meal.
The shelf life is two years if you don't open it.
Pretty cool.
Oh yeah, absolutely.
And if we're in any kind of apocalypse, we can pretty much eat this all day.
You can.
And a cereal.
Really, really healthy.
All right, cool.
And guys, you can find the Kingdom Fuel line of products at Dr.
Sherwood's website, of course, sherwood.tv.

I love this shake.
It's amazing, great, and keeps me healthy.
Welcome back to Shots Fired.
Well, everybody always tells us our whole life to trust our gut.
Trust your gut, they say.
That's where all the knowledge is always stored.
And while we are used to hearing that phrase, trust our gut, what does it really, really mean?
Because it actually turns out that your gut is way more important than people think and serves so many different purposes.
And when people say trust your gut, yes, it means that you kind of have instincts there, trusting your gut or trusting your heart.
But in the physical sense, your gut is so instrumental to your mind, your body, your spiritual health, your emotional health, and it's directly linked to it.
so when your gut is kind of out of whack or there are things happening with your gut it could make your emotions out of whack it could make your sleeping habits out of whack it can cause physical ailments and so many other things and so many people don't realize how essential the gut plays the essential role the gut plays in your body and in your emotions and your spirit spirituality So I want to talk about this as well as the DNA test results that have come back for me,
which I'm really excited to talk about with our resident doctor, Dr.
Mark Sherwood of sherwood.tv slash shots, who's going to go over this and more.
So Dr.
Sherwood, always great to have you on.
How's it going this lovely Thursday?
Hey, it's going great.
I love Thursdays because it's one day closer to Fridays, you know what I mean?
So it's awesome and I really appreciate the concept of what you're bringing to people's attention because there is truly a communication process that originates in the gut and we all heard the term gut instinct.
So it's fascinating.
So I'm excited to talk about this.
Yes, exactly.
So, you sent to me a study conducted via a mouse about the importance of your gut health.
So, can you tell us a little bit more about this mouse study and why, of course, it creates us humans?
Yeah, and you know, it's hard to extrapolate, of course, you know, like the data from a mouse to a human, but What I do know is by experience, and we do a lot of gut testing here at the Functional Medical Institute for people both here and around the world and around the country, and I can tell you there is a common theme that people that have gut disturbances don't respond to stress very well, and they have a common theme of depression.
Which is confirmed by a mouse study.
So what I've seen is now confirmed with a mouse study.
So I can actually infer that the data is probably accurate.
And there's a lot of communication that occurs from the gut, Deanna.
Probably five times more signals are sent northward from the gut to the brain as opposed to the brain to the gut.
And a lot of people refer to the gut as the second brain.
But I'm not sure if it's not the first brain.
Really?
In that study, it talked about how if you have gut dysfunction in the mice, they didn't handle stress very well.
And so there's a bunch of cool stuff about that that I'll explain in a moment.
Yes, please explain.
So your gut is tied to your stress response.
And basically how healthy your gut is can dictate how healthy your stress response is.
I'm trying to break it down, but you're probably better at explaining it.
Alright, so first of all, most people listening have heard of the concept of leaky gut.
Or a gut that doesn't function well.
Or maybe dysfunctional microbiome.
You can take all those terms and sort of, they're all different, but you can interchange those as sort of this Common theme of knowledge, right?
Of condition.
Now, what happens is when we have a lot of stress, which we know is symbolic of cortisol.
Cortisol itself, too much of that, let's call it hyper-cortisolism, living on the edge all the time like we've done for the last several years, you know?
That creates, by default, and is proven to create leakiness of the gut, which disturbs the microbiome.
Therefore, the microbiome cannot speak to the gut or speak to the brain efficiently, or we can't create even cortisol efficiently anymore.
So it's like one creates the other, which has effect on the other.
And that's what they saw in the mice when you had gut dysfunction.
They were not able to respond to stress at all.
And so that's what I see in humans, and that's what we've seen pretty much over the last A couple of years, and when you have that process going on, because the immune system is around the gut, you have a weakening of your immune system, not being able to fight off diseases very well.
I see.
Okay, so leaky gut could mean a decline in your immune system.
All of a sudden, your rhythm is off, you're not able to fight off illnesses or even common colds as well, and everything kind of goes down.
So what are some, and it could also potentially lead to disease like cancer?
No question, because you look at the gut microbiome, there's all kinds of associations.
And again, association doesn't equal causation, but there's a kind of associations with gut dysfunction and obesity, gut dysfunction and autoimmune conditions, gut dysfunction and type 2 diabetes, osteoporosis.
You can see Alzheimer's, dementia, even Parkinson's is connected to the gut, believe it or not.
And of course, cancers would be as well.
So the gut really is fascinating because, you know, you talk about DNA, but this is a kind of little DNA, little no, did you know fact.
We have a hundred times more bacterial DNA living on us and in us than we are human DNA. So when you look at it like that, it's like we are probably more bugs, more bacteria than we are human.
And I'm not trying to be facetious about that, but we do live symbolically with viruses, bacteria, parasites, and all this stuff because we are from the earth, made by the earth, you know, from the earth material.
Therefore, we're designed to be in unison or in harmony with the Earth.
Right.
Wow, that's fascinating.
So people really need to, I mean, grab ahold of their gut, so to speak, and understand that if there's disease or if there's illnesses or ailments in other areas of their body, probably a first great place to look would be your gut and see how well your gut is processing things and see if there's any leakiness there, anything that they can repair, right?
Yes, no question.
And a lot of people, and I'll just go back historically 3,000 years ago, Hippocrates said, let food be the medicine, the medicine be the food.
We all know that statement.
But he also said something fascinating about the gut.
He said, health begins in the gut.
Disease begins in the colon.
So the dude knew something back then that we need to revisit now.
And fascinatingly enough, neurotransmitters like serotonin that we know keeps us from being depressed, It's produced in the gut.
So if you're stressed, you can become depressed because the gut is not functioning well.
And how many people today are fighting off depression?
About one in four Americans right now have some sort of drug they're using for depression.
So perhaps the gut is really the target we should be focusing on.
Wow, that's awesome.
And do you have any, before we move into some of the DNA results, do you have any tips for focusing on your gut or trying to repair your gut health?
Yeah, so the epithelial cells, or the cells that make up the structure that makes the gut, they redo themselves every so often, maybe every week.
So they're turning over all the time.
Because the gut has to deal with the food all the time, sometimes the best way to heal a gut is to what?
Fast.
It's common sense.
Take the pressure off.
So sometimes an elongated fast or even short intermittent fasting can be super helpful.
That would be tip one.
Tip number two is going to be to ensure you don't bring in any inflammatory foods or foods the body interprets as foreign invaders, much like, you know, we've talked about this before, the border crisis.
Don't let anything cross the border you know is going to hurt you, right?
And probably number three, and I really think it's very important, is look at nutrients such as probiotics, Prebiotics, postbiotics, even some colostrum to help heal the gut.
And I've had really good success with this.
And persons that do have leaky gut are going to have a tendency to have these diseases we talked about.
But when you heal the gut, the diseases typically go away or they get better and the body fights better.
So it can be something that can be reinvigorated.
It can be something that can be repaired as well.
It just takes a little bit of time.
Okay, awesome.
That's really cool.
So everybody start listening to your gut and start repairing your gut because that's going to help you in every single aspect of your life.
And now next, I want to touch on this amazing DNA test that you offer from your health institute.
And we don't have time to go over like a lot of details today, but I wanted to kind of first you kind of introduce, tell us again what this DNA is, this DNA test is.
What it's supposed to cover or reveal about us.
And then we can talk about a few high-level results that I got that I'm excited to talk about.
And then possibly in the next segment, you know, next week we can go a little bit deeper into it and you can share like what all this means and why it's so important that people take these tests because truly everybody is unique.
God made us unique.
And it's not a one-size-fits-all health remedy when we go to see a typical doctor.
It's really, really not, and your DNA test truly reveals that.
It's been fascinating, because back in the early 2000s, we did this Human Genome Project, which was tasked with sequencing the entire human genome to determine the cause of genes, right?
Yeah.
Or the cause of disease, right?
In a long, long time, you know, people were saying, well, it's got to be the Bad gene hypothesis, but when they sequenced the DNA, they found out that really that wasn't true at all.
It was highly disappointing because only two or three percent of the human genome was directly related to disease.
The rest of it was multifactorial, meaning it was the interaction between our environment and the genes.
So, knowing the genes Is important to understanding how to correct disease as opposed to seeing the cause of disease.
The genes aren't the cause of disease.
Otherwise, if they've only changed 2% in 10,000 years, which that's all they've changed.
Right.
Go back and look historically at historical data, even biblical times, you didn't see type 2 diabetes, cancers, Alzheimer's, dementia, autoimmune, heart disease, osteoporosis.
Those didn't exist.
And I know people are going to say, well, people are living longer now.
No, people lived longer back then.
Wow.
Right?
So the bottom line is that genes do not create disease.
And what we do is we look at the genes from the perspective of that's how God made Deanna.
And that's how God made Mark.
And that's how he knit us together in the womb of our mama where the genes reside inside the nucleus.
And genes are books of recipes to make proteins that create function.
And look at it like this.
The genes, when they're acute from the environment, like a virus, they will make a protein that's an antibody to fight the virus.
Okay.
If the genes notice that there's injury to the body, it will make amino acids together to structure and rebuild the muscle.
So the genes is really about books of recipes to help us Thrive on planet Earth.
And when you know the keys there, you know how to push the right buttons.
And everybody makes these little proteins differently.
And I'll give you one cool example for you.
This is a cool example.
Okay.
The term inflammation would be like a term that most of us will look at as bad.
Right.
But it depends on the context.
Okay.
Because inflammation is initiator of a healing process.
Okay.
Which would be a good thing.
Yeah.
If you don't have inflammation, you're going to die, man.
Because we know if we take anti-inflammatories, they make us susceptible to other diseases, don't they?
So we want inflammation.
You, particularly, create a little bit of a high volume of inflammation.
Interesting.
And you go, wait a minute, is that bad?
No, it's not bad.
It's good.
Knowing that gives you the benefit of saying your body fights diseases really well.
And how do you make sure that works well?
You make sure you're optimized with omega-3 fatty acids, for example, and make sure you eat well so you're not driving inflammation inappropriately.
But you have it sitting here like a weaponry ready to attack.
Make sense?
Yeah, that's interesting.
So something you found about me with this report, you know, it's like, oh, I hope I study well for this test, but it's really, there's nothing you could do.
It's just your DNA. And funny enough, I was kind of nervous to get my results back from you because I was thinking, oh, you know, what if I fail?
What if it's not good?
But people shouldn't be afraid, right?
Because it's just, it really, it's like learning the user manual to your own body, to your own DNA. Yeah.
So, you're saying that DNA, that I have a high level of inflammation.
So, would that be showing up anywhere?
Would it, like, make me bloated?
I don't know.
I attribute inflammation to, like, bloatedness or something, or disease.
But is there something that, some other ways that it presents itself?
Yeah.
In blood testing, you can see certain markers that would show up to be high, and you can also see markers that would show it to be normally low, which is good.
You know, inflammation is like this.
There's two kinds.
One, if you have a problem, it's like a fire department going out and putting out a fire, and they put it out and do a good job, and they go back to the firehouse and retool, refuel, etc.
That's called acute inflammation, and you do that well.
Okay.
Now, in that situation, what if you brought in a bunch of horrible foods and lived like hell, which you don't?
You would be creating a bunch of fires.
Yeah.
And your system would go out and it would try to fight the fires, but you keep making new ones.
So that would be a weakening of the immune system instead of a strengthening of the immune system.
Okay.
The best way to think about genes is like this.
This is shots fired, so this would be a perfect example.
Guns are loaded up for protection.
The genes are like a loaded gun to protect you.
But you put that loaded gun into the hands of a psychotic person, And another loaded gun becomes a weapon of destruction.
In our example, our environment we live in is a psychotic person.
It's horrible!
And so you put our genes in a horrible environment and let the horrible environment guide us, then the genes express themselves in a dangerous manner.
Versus a protective manner.
Yeah.
Genes are for protection.
They're not to hurt you.
They're to help us.
And if we understand it from that context, it gives you great empowerment, which is hopefully encouragement to know that you can become disease resilient.
Absolutely.
Okay.
I love that.
And let's say like one other thing.
Maybe you can talk about some of the supplements or the vitamins that I've been deficient in.
Yeah, so the genes actually go through and look at the way certain things metabolize.
Like vitamin D can be made from the sun and it can come through the system and become active D. Okay.
What if you don't do that very well genetically?
That'd be kind of cool to know that.
Yeah, definitely.
All you do is you take D, that's the appropriate amount, and you've solved the riddle.
Okay.
Sometimes, for example, like vitamin B12, it comes from food.
But if it doesn't get transported metabolized in a clinically efficient way, You can take B12 and you solve the riddle.
So it's like it gives you so much information to know areas that this environment can make one short in because you know what your genes need.
And if you do that and take that approach to it, it can give you great confidence to know that these genes are going to make the proteins well.
It's going to create function for me.
It's going to create life as opposed to me struggling to just, you know, just survive on planet Earth versus thrive.
Yeah.
Wow.
That's really cool.
And again, it's like, why wouldn't people want to learn their own user manual?
You know, you'd want to know a user manual to a car or to anything to see how it works and make sure that you're getting the most of it.
And the same way should be with our body and with our DNA. So it's really exciting that you offer that.
Yeah, I can say, you asked the question, why wouldn't people do it?
It's because they haven't had any master mechanics encourage them to do it.
They just haven't.
The master mechanics today are teaching us how to make the car broken and keep it broken so they can keep us coming back there to put air in the tires when we know how to put air in the tires.
And so, all I'm doing is teaching people how to live life, do life, And not need a system that's trying to take life from them.
And I'm not disparaging people that work in that system.
I'm just saying the system is so broken that it's not going to get fixed.
So we have to take the system and make our own system.
And it's really God's system.
True.
It really is God's system.
Everything goes back to Him, the Creator.
And I think He would want us to know this information.
I think He would want us to learn about this because, you know, why not learn again?
Why not maximize our experience on Earth here and not waste it?
So I love all this.
Dr.
Sherwood, I'm so excited to delve deeper.
We can share our results over the next week and the week after, too, because there's just so much.
I mean, it's a very in-depth report.
So let's talk about, let's wrap up, but tell everybody where they can find you and where they can find this awesome DNA test, too.
Well, then go to sherwood.tv forward slash shots, and down the page, there's ways they can do this, and they can go to our testing and do it there.
It's real simple, no problem.
Yeah.
We send you a kit.
You just do it there at home.
It's not hard, and people might freak out because you have to use your name.
You don't have to use your name, but you can make up something.
It's fine.
Just remember what you made up so I can find the results.
We don't sell your data.
I'm not interested in that.
I'm interested in giving people life.
Yeah, you definitely are not partnering with Google or 23andMe or any of these evil tyrants, so you're just here to make sure that people understand the keys to their own kingdom.
Thank you so much, Dr.
Sherwood.
We're so excited to delve into this further, and we will be right back right after these messages.
Don't go anywhere.
