Hey guys, well I'm here with my favorite doctor, Dr. Mark Sherwood here today.
And guess what I just got?
It is a giant box of a Kingdom Crunch cereal.
His new line of cereal called Kingdom Crunch, and this particular flavor is Acai Bowl.
And let me tell you, it is so, so, so, so, so tasty and delicious.
But besides from it being so tasty, I have Dr. Sherwood.
Sherwood here to tell us why it's so good for you, too, and why it's so amazing and should be in everyone's cover.
So what's up with this incredible cereal that you sent me that I can't stop eating, Dr.
Sherwood?
Well, many times when we hear the word cereal, we think unhealthy, poisonous chemical, carcinogenic.
Shouldn't be eating it.
That is quite the opposite.
High protein, zero added sugars, organic ingredients, and healthy fats such as medium-trained triglycerides.
Deanna, that should be in everyone's cupboard, in every child's mouth, every day.
That is truly healthy and life-giving for kids.
I recommend it all the way.
Not because I made it, but because it solves a real problem in today's world.
Excuse me, I can't stop eating it, but I gave it to my son, Maverick, who also loves cereal, but I don't want him to eat cereal except for this.
This is really, really good.
It's really tasty.
It actually tastes like real acai in your mouth.
And it's packed full of all these nutrients and no sugar, right?
No added sugar?
That's insane.
How is it so sweet then?
Yeah, we use stevia, monk fruit, and some allulose there, all of which, get this, are diabetic friendly.
They won't raise blood sugar, which is another benefit.
I've had people ask me, can I eat that if I'm diabetic?
Yes, you can, and you can fix your diabetes.
Yay!
Awesome.
Well, this is so good.
Where can everybody find this Kingdom Crunch cereal?
They can find it at sherwood.tv forward slash shots and use your discount code to save.
Promo code shots.
Promo code shots and they can save some money off there and support your program.
Absolutely.
Alright, go to sherwood.tv promo code shots and pick up this delicious Kingdom Crunch cereal today.
Welcome back to Shots Fired.
Well, as we predicted, the more and more this election season heats up, probably the most election, the most important election that we've ever had, although we keep saying this, but this truly is a pivotal election.
The more this heats up, the more crazy it gets.
And we have some just insane events that are happening from the geoengineered hurricanes and storms to assassination attempts.
And it just gets crazier, and I have a feeling it's only going to get even worse over the next couple of weeks.
And so one of these crazy events just happened a couple of days ago.
Trump held an unprecedented rally in Coachella, California.
He rarely visits California, but he held a rally in Coachella, California.
And during that rally, a man was arrested.
He was searched and arrested.
Yes, this was supposedly the third assassination attempt on President Trump.
He was supposedly carrying illegal firearms in his car.
He supposedly was carrying fake Depressed passes and badges and fake IDs and passports.
So the news has piled on all different types of weird facts about this story.
And we don't know what to believe at this point.
Was this truly a third assassination attempt?
Was this actually planned?
Or was this just yet another false flag?
Well, I decided let's just have the source himself, Ben Miller, join the show.
What's interesting is Ben Miller, he's a friend of mine.
I know him from the conservative MAGA circle.
He's a reporter.
He's a conservative journalist.
And he actually heads the magazine AmericaHappens.com.
And he's been in the MAGA circles for years as a huge Trump supporter.
So this whole thing is really, really odd and has so many strange abnormalities about it.
But I wanted to talk to Ben Miller.
First, this suspect in the shooting to hear his side of the story.
So Ben Miller, first of all, welcome to Shots Fired.
You are at an undisclosed location right now, correct?
Yeah, correct.
Yes.
Okay, so let's just, first of all, give us a little bit of background about who you are.
First of all, just another minute or two, if we haven't already touched on it.
So I run the America Happens Network, where we're currently producing 14 different shows, kind of trying to reinvent what a network could be.
We just launched a new music show that's like TRL Top 5 Countdown.
Also, you do my series, Blood Money the Podcast, Conspiracy Truths with Mindy Robinson, which is a documentary series.
We essentially produce a lot of different content to kind of sum it up to...
Expose what's going on.
Really fill the gap of the mainstream media because a lot of the time or most of the time they're not telling us all the information and all the news.
And so that's really what we do with AmericaHappens.com.
And most recently we released a documentary called Bundy vs.
Deep State.
We're very proud of.
It shows really the fraud of the federal government and what they've been doing in terms of land rights, stealing our natural resources in Nevada.
You can check that out.
It's at the top of the AmericaHappens.com featured page.
So straight from the horse's mouth, tell us what happened here.
What exactly happened?
This is a huge nothing burger.
And it kind of shows, I think, the competency of this department in Riverside.
Really, what happened was, you know, I have, I guess, a unique understanding compared to just regular people just walking into a rally because I've been to so many rallies.
I know the geography of rallies.
I know the actual how they're set up.
And it's always two very different locations, right?
The parking lot and the actual rally location, the rally perimeter, are usually a quarter mile, half a mile, one mile apart, right?
And the reason they do this is because shootings are not the only assassination tool.
One has to be concerned about Car bombs, like a Timothy McVeigh-style car bombing, so they don't make those locations together.
So in my mind, I'm doing what I do every single time.
I'm driving to the parking lot, which I will drop off my car, and I've done this in Nevada many times, and then I will walk a great distance to actually get to the rally, right?
So, in Nevada, when I've done this before, I always declare the fact that I have firearms in the back of the truck, and this is exactly what I did in this instance.
I drove up there before entering the parking lot.
I told a cop that was wearing a sheriff's vest that, you know, I have, you know, two firearms in the back of my truck, and I'm just going to park my car and walk to the rally.
Sorry, do you park in the place that most rallygoers are parking, or...?
Are you parking in a different place?
All parking lots are separate.
Well, this might have been special parking, I'm not sure, but it's a separate parking area.
So whatever was designated for the special invitees, which, you know, by the way, I had passes for, not just one, four were sent to me by higher-ups in the Nevada Republican Party, because they're aware of me, and I've been to, like, a number of these types of events.
I've actually been in a lot of intimate rooms with the former president, where it's only, like, maybe a couple hundred people at most, and I could touch the former president.
So So you were a special invitee to this.
Yeah, yeah, and that's another lie that, like, I was counterfeit, you know, pass whatever passes and that sort of thing.
You know, all those things that they're saying, by the way, in terms of counterfeit, you know, fake license, all that stuff is felonies, right?
But I was not charged with any felonies.
The feds were there, and the Secret Service were there, who are the ones who were charged with felonies.
And in this whole ordeal, throughout this whole thing, they had two opportunities, three and a half hours into the ordeal, Six and a half hours into our ordeal, and they declined to even interview me, the federal authorities.
Now, in terms of me driving into this location, I simply declared that I had two firearms in the back of the truck, that I was going to park the car.
I could notice that the officer's reaction was very different than what I'm used to.
Nevada, right?
So at that point, I said, you're welcome to hold on to these firearms.
I could throw this in the back of your guy's trunk.
I don't need to even park with these firearms.
And then, you know, I could see that he was still looking weird.
And then I said, okay, I could do a U-turn and simply leave.
But he told me to pull over.
Once I pulled over, I was told by another police officer that I should get out of the car, turn around, and then he handcuffed me.
And I said, sir, why are you handcuffing me?
And he said, for my own safety and protection.
And And that's really when the ordeal began, and a lot of things subsequent to that happened that simply do not make sense, were a violation of my rights.
And, you know, for example, I kept asking for a phone call.
I was never given a phone call throughout this whole ordeal, and so I was never able to contact my lawyer.
Furthermore, you know, when at one point the arresting officer came up to me, And said, we just want to see your serials, because the only thing we're concerned about is that these are lawfully purchased firearms.
And so I told him that, yes, you could go into my car, and I told him the location of the guns.
One was actually between the back seat and the trunk, lodged inside, and you could only even remove it by moving the seats up.
And that was the shotgun, which was, you know, approximately four foot long.
And then you had a Glock, Glock 19, which was in the back of the trunk.
And so I told him where it was, but instead of doing what he had told me they were going to do, they started to ransack everything in my truck and remove clothing from my luggage, equipment from my luggage, doing a whole bunch of just invasive things, you know, bomb-sniffing dogs, you know, you name it, about 10 to 15 officers.
Obviously, they didn't find anything.
But then subsequent to that, the arresting officer decided to take me to prison anyways.
Wow, that's crazy.
So suffice to say, you missed the Trump rally that you traveled all the way there for.
You were excited to see the Trump rally like you have many, many times before.
You didn't get to see it.
And then they brought you to the local prison right after that, after a couple hours.
Yeah, I was over there.
I was chained by the feet, my photo taken, x-rayed, fingerprinted, put into this jail cell.
There was a phone in that jail cell, wasn't working.
I tried to make phone calls.
There's evidence that a gentleman that received the phone call couldn't hear me.
Then I went to the buzzer.
On the wall, I tried to buzz the correctional officers to say that, hey, could you give me a phone that works?
I was totally ignored.
And then around 1-1-30, I was simply let go.
I was given a ticket.
There was no bail.
That was also a lie on their part.
Essentially, anything that's come out of the sheriff's department is a lie.
And what's disturbing is that the sheriff keeps doubling down.
He just went on another show saying that he thinks he did the right thing.
And I think this is absolutely so fascinating.
Because by his standards, anybody that has guns in their trunk is therefore a potential assassin, right?
And I bet you, in a Republican rally, if this was Texas, guaranteed 50% of the cars actually have guns in their trunk.
Even in California, I believe that 25% had.
Now, what did those people do that I did, you know, or what did they not do that I did?
I went towards honesty is the best policy.
I never even thought that they would even accuse me of these sort of things because historically there's never been a potential assassin that's driven up to the police officers and declared their guns, right?
Furthermore, the kind of guns they're talking about, you know, I'm not a big gun guy.
You know, I only got guns once I started producing content for the America Happens Network that resulted in death threats via mail and email.
For example, Scrabble pieces mailed to my house spelling dead email threats with just, you know, very nasty pictures sent to me.
So that's why I purchased these two guns.
Well, these two guns, they're not the kind of guns that assassins use, I've learned, right?
So one is a shotgun that's four feet long, okay?
There's no logic in that.
It's impossible to take into the rally.
And by the way, not the kind of weapon that you would use to kill somebody like this.
I mean, that's usually rifles.
And we've seen, you know, the JFK assassination and, you know, what was utilized there.
These are high-powered rifles.
So you don't use a shotgun nor a Glock to commit this kind of crime.
Well, it's interesting, too, because, I mean, you told them up front, hey, I'm just letting you know that I'm parking over here and I've got guns in my car, so that you would prevent this whole situation like this, and you didn't want something like that where they might, you know, go past people's cars and accidentally find, you know, car, or they would, you know, find guns in your car, and then they would think it was a big deal because you were hiding it.
So you were trying to prevent...
Or sorry to interrupt you.
Or, you know, somebody takes the gun and does something bad with it by breaking into the car.
I know that sort of thing doesn't happen at Trump rallies, but by letting them know, you know, the legal world is all about...
Getting ahead of it.
Yeah, and it's also all about serving notice.
Like, you serve notice in order to keep an honor.
That's a legal principle.
And so it's very...
I mean, dangerous.
That honesty doesn't seem to be the best policy here.
Being in honor doesn't seem to be the best policy.
There's something very skewed about that.
Yeah, exactly.
So it was the local police force and sheriffs that started this whole mess.
It wasn't the Secret Service.
It wasn't Trump's from within Trump's camp.
No, no.
In fact, they quickly, I think, deciphered due to, you know, doing some background search, making some phone calls, seeing my history, you know, seeing if the two passports that they found were, you know, authentic, that I hadn't done anything wrong because they didn't want to question me and they had two opportunities to do so and declined.
Why did they say that you had fake passports and fake passes?
I mean, where did they come up with that?
Those are blatant lies.
Those are absolutely blatant lies.
There's absolutely no truth to those.
And I've actually sent this to some of the press already where I showed them the email passes that were sent to me.
There's no such thing as fake passports.
Now, if you have fake passports, again, felony, forgery of government documents, I would still be in jail.
They would actually have something on me that's valid.
But I ended up leaving this entire ordeal essentially with a ticket.
I mean, it's pretty obvious in their actions, and the thing that's disturbing is that this Sheriff Bianco seems to be very well connected.
I've heard there's, you know, organized crime type connections.
I don't know if that's true, but I've heard that coming from a lot of places.
He seems to think that he is, you know, I mean, essentially...
He is beyond prosecution.
And that should be very disturbing that our government officials, our sheriffs, think that they are above the law.
This sheriff certainly feels that he's above the law.
His demeanor, his actions, all of it indicates that he thinks he is above the law.
Why does he think that he's above the law?
That's something that has to be answered.
Now, once this lawsuit was filed, which was filed yesterday by a very prominent attorney that is one of the chairwomen of the National Republican Party, the chairwoman of the National Republican Party, she was doing a lot of research on the background of Chair Bianco.
Now, my background would indicate that I've been an artist pretty much my whole life, have been in the film, television, content creation world since the early 90s, and pretty much there's not been necessarily a break in that timeline.
Also, I've never had a misdemeanor, never been accused of anything, never done any crimes, never been even accused of crimes, right?
In terms of Sheriff Bianco, you kind of look at his background and, okay, so most recently, $7.5 million lawsuit that they lost because of his leadership.
You look at what's happened in his correctional facilities, where multiple outrageous amounts of individuals have died in his care because of things like malnutrition.
You hear about evidence of corruption bribery in order to cover up crimes within his police department.
You hear about things like essentially bullying tactics, you know?
And then we start hearing things as like, you know, he's supposed to be a MAGA guy, but then there's images of him kneeling with BLM. Then there's claims that he was part of the Oath Keepers, you know?
Most recently, we got a whistleblower within the police department because apparently he is very much disliked to send us a document which indicates that whenever somebody goes on workman's comp because of injury, he takes their guns away.
And we have documents to prove that.
So he's not much of a Second Amendment advocate.
And certainly his actions don't show that he's a Second Amendment advocate because, you know, just by virtue...
He keeps talking about, oh, we must use common sense and logic.
Well, common sense and logic, has there ever been an assassin in the history of humankind that's declared, hey, I got guns in my car, prior to walking into the location?
I mean, that alone is pretty ludicrous.
It's never happened.
Also, common sense and logic would indicate that when you go and you see somebody that has been vehemently pro-Trump for six years, and the social media, the content, 800 episodes, mostly 95% pro-Trump, I mean, this is not the DNA of somebody that is going to try to kill the president.
Mind you, I've also been much closer to the president than these rallies.
I've been in private rooms with him with small numbers of individuals many times, and there's never been any incident nor question of incident.
This is obviously what the Secret Service did and the feds did in order to decide to leave me alone, not even question me.
Now, if one has to ask themselves why, okay, you have two very important topics when it comes to Uh, like a sheriff's work.
It's like either unlawful or lawful.
It's basically pretty simple, very black and white, right?
Uh, why was that procedure not followed?
Why did he, uh, not either deem what I was doing to be lawful or unlawful?
The evidence shows that there was nothing unlawful because I wasn't cited for it.
I wasn't taken to prison for it.
Despite what the rumors, the nasty things he keeps saying that are complete and utter, utter falsities, absolutely destructive to my life, career, uh, Everything going forward, you know, I'm forever known as, you know, Internet's forever, and I'm known as a third potential assassin, which would harm my ability to get jobs.
You know, it's like I was dating a girl.
She texts me.
She doesn't want to see me anymore.
I mean, it's crazy.
So it's like in every way my life's impacted.
I've been called by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police saying that we believe your life is in We're in danger because these headline readers that don't do their own research now might think that you are somebody that's a potential assassin of Donald Trump.
We've seen the Lee Harvey Oswald, Jack Ruby situation, although I firmly believe that that's not what we've No, but what we've been told is, you know, Jack Ruby decided to enact revenge on Lee Harvey Oswald.
So there are nutjobs out there.
There are nutjobs out there that might know where I am.
And so my life is suddenly at risk because of this absolute just bonehead of a sheriff who has a deep history of criminal behavior that, for whatever reason, he's still being protected from.
Even though the evidence is there, lawsuits have been lost, claims have been made, you know, people have come out as whistleblowers.
The minute this happened, my email box started blowing up at americahappens.com, which is our public email address on the website, with evidence being—but one of them I posted, actually.
One of them I posted where he's inhibiting on people's Second Amendment rights because they're on workers' comp, and there's a lot more coming, a lot more lurid facts coming.
So, yeah, there's a history there, obviously, of patterns and practices.
It's a legal term.
When somebody keeps repeating the same pattern of practices, in this view, it's a really color of law pattern of practice, which basically means using your title to commit crimes, and that's his pattern of practice.
My pattern of practice is no criminal behavior whatsoever.
Artists make documentaries and investigative journalism, which, frankly, A lot of people have said, has that been the reason why you're being persecuted?
Like the Bundy versus Deep State documentary, which shows the federal government's corruption against the states, how corrupt politicians steal our gold.
And lo and behold, in this documentary, the person that was actually putting the lawsuit together, one of the main parties, seemed to have been poisoned and murdered while we are filming the documentary.
And that was captured on film.
That's one of the upsides of all this, is that Because of these events, a lot of people have watched the documentary.
It's actually gotten flawless reviews.
Everybody seems to love it.
Everybody seems to be horrified at the depth of corruption, but that literally points the finger at the bullseye of all the corruption and gives us a lawful legal path through the courts to get the federal government out of our business to return back to the original vision of the founding fathers of limited federal government and state rights, which has been completely usurped at this point by an overreaching federal government And so I could imagine that sort of thing would piss off a lot of people that have ill ideas about how we should proceed as a nation.
Absolutely.
The whole thing is just crazy.
And how did it get to the press, first of all?
And how did it get to the press so quickly?
Because this was just like front page news everywhere.
All of a sudden, I mean, did the sheriff immediately go and run to the news?
Or what do you think happened there?
So this is the thing where it does bring up a lot of questions, because Sheriff doesn't have that kind of power to...
The Sheriff has the power to go to the media, and this is definitely somebody that has political aspirations.
I think he thought, on the corpse of my reputation, he's going to build his political career and become governor.
I truly think that was the intention of the Sheriff in doing that.
Now, in terms of how it was represented by the press, so obviously they dropped the story first.
This guy's looking for his fame.
He's definitely...
Look, he almost shot President Trump.
You know, I saved him.
So he wanted to be sort of this hero, not realizing he'd get caught so quickly.
But the concern here is, remember when the first two assassination attempts happened, it was like, oh, there's popping sounds.
There was a disturbance.
You know, that sort of thing.
They didn't even say it was an assassination for the most part.
They tried to dumb it down.
This was a Van Miller potential third assassin.
It's my picture, my picture, my picture.
My picture with glasses, my picture without glasses.
And so...
Could this be that, you know, hey, we've got to shut this Van Miller up and destroy his credibility before his documentaries, his podcasts, the work that Mindy Robinson, my business partner, does, who has been, I mean, fantastic work, you know, with the Route 91 shooting documentary, which has had over 100 million downloads.
She has literally kept that story alive.
Ron DeSantis recently said that Las Vegas mass shooting was never really properly investigated.
Don't know what happened there as a reason why the state shouldn't investigate the assassination attempt on Trump, right?
So we're certainly, Mindy and I and Corinne and other members of the America Happens Network are certainly doing work that exposes and probably ruffles some feathers.
And could that been part of it, that this was just retribution for doing such stories?
And, you know, with the persecution of media, with the persecution of people like Julian Assange for the WikiLeaks thing, we've seen it over and over again.
You know, I remember during the Iraq War, Glenn Greenwald had to move to Brazil because he was countering the narrative in that cancel culture era of George W. Bush.
It seems as though being an interviewer, an investigative journalist, a documentary filmmaker, is almost a hazard.
And that is one thing I think in a new Trump administration we need to protect.
Because the reason why we don't have good investigative journalism in the mainstream is because of this sort of thing, right?
People are scared of the lawsuits.
People are scared of the attacks.
Now, you can't have a free and fair society unless you whistleblow and expose the corrupt, right?
We've seen how the sheriff over here clearly has a history, a pattern of practices that are criminal over and over again.
He has not been held accountable because, you know what, there's not enough Mindy Robinsons, Corinne Cliffords, Vem Millers, Stu Peters, yourself, running around holding these people accountable because they've been moved out of the system.
And so now, people like myself, our citizens, our civilians, are left defenseless against these tyrants, against these gangsters.
You know, this guy, you look at his history, it's like a Tony Soprano running the police department, literally a Tony Soprano.
And I say that in all regards.
Why is this happening?
Why is this person not being removed from his position?
Why is he not being persecuted and prosecuted through lawful methods?
And why is it that somebody like me sitting here, law-abiding citizen, show up to a rally, declare that I have guns in there.
I'm not even going in the rally at this point.
I'm going to a parking lot over here, half a mile away from the rally.
There's no apparent danger.
But this, you know, Barney Fife type thinks that he's going to become Taylor Swift overnight, and he uses my reputation to try to climb that ladder.
And somebody from Hollywood that has experienced these narcissistic personalities that will sell their soul for fame and fortune, I mean, this sheriff is no different.
I mean, he is a Hollywood sheriff.
What he tried to do was a Hollywood move.
He was ready to sell his soul and walk all over somebody, destroy a life, which I think he has successfully done thus far.
That's why I filed a lawsuit.
And, you know, it seems like he's remorseless in that regard.
He just wants power and fame.
And what he should be concerned about is two categories, lawful, unlawful.
That's all he should be concerned about, and doing his job right, which has not been his concern.
Yeah.
Wow.
What a nightmare.
And especially just being so quick to destroy a man's reputation, plastered all over the news.
You know, why aren't they spending those resources catching real people who are trying to assassinate the president or human traffickers or things that we really, really need answers to?
It's sad.
We're in a wholly corrupt country.
If I could just say one thing, if we lose this election, you know, and it's like, it's really bad.
We got to look at secession at that point.
I really think because a half a United States under the constitution is better than this glorious mess that it's become.
And it is a mess because this is, this is just, you're seeing a symptom of what is a universal problem across our country.
Yeah, absolutely.
It's frightening what will happen if we lose the election.
I just think it's all over from there.
And again, we won't lose it out of popularity.
We're going to lose it out of fraud.
This is obviously more Americans are going to be voting for Trump, just like last time.
And so if we lose the election, it will be through another major heist.
Exactly.

It has organic pea protein, full spectrum, full amino acid profile, 20 grams of protein.
But it's also got added to it greens and reds.
A lot of people buy those separately.
It's got vitamins and minerals, insoluble and insoluble fiber.
That is a complete meal, and it's under $5 per serving.
If people use three scoops, guess what?
Most people don't.
They use one or two.
So you're talking about a full, complete meal.
The shelf life is two years if you don't open it.
Pretty cool.
Oh yeah, absolutely.
And if we're in any kind of apocalypse, we can pretty much eat this all day.
You can.
And a cereal.
Really, really healthy.
All right, cool.
And guys, you can find the Kingdom Fuel line of products at Dr.
Sherwood's website, of course, sherwood.tv, and use promo code SHOTS to get 30% off.
Again, that's promo code SHOTS to get 30% off.
I love this shake.
It's amazing, great, and keeps me healthy.
Welcome back to Shots Fired.
Well, the hits keep on coming.
We had this disastrous Hurricane Helene, followed up by Hurricane Milton, just destroying so much of Florida, North Carolina, South Carolina, and the East Coast.
Hundreds, if not thousands of lives have been destroyed.
People have been displaced.
We have children who have actually been orphaned.
So these disasters, these storms cause and wreak so much havoc on the lives of people, let alone those who have actually survived these hurricanes.
And apparently there's a few more hurricanes and giant storms that are brewing right now that are still set to hit America.
So we talked a lot about the storms last week and this week and the devastation that it causes.
But what about what happens after these hurricanes and storms?
What about those people who have been lucky enough to survive them and they go back to their homes?
What about toxic mold?
It's something I want to talk about because a lot of people are not talking about it.
It's sort of the silent after killer, what happens after these storms.
And again, if you're lucky enough to survive it, a lot of people don't realize it, that these This toxic mold can come and leave, you know, leave inside the homes in this wake of the hurricane.
So here to talk about toxic mold and what we can possibly do about it to prevent the after effects of it is our favorite naturopathic doctor, Dr.
Mark Sherwood of Sherwood.tv slash shots, joining us to talk about what happens after the hurricane.
So thanks so much for joining us as usual.
Dr.
Sherwood, how are you?
I'm doing very well, and as fate would have it, I'm in the state of North Carolina at present, so there you go.
Great.
So you're in North Carolina right now.
That's amazing that you're there.
So tell me, tell us about, you know, what is, what exactly people need to be worried about with mold growing after, you know, after the hurricane, after these storms.
And it doesn't just happen after hurricanes, right?
It can happen with heavy rains, other storms.
It doesn't need to be like a category five hurricane that people need to be raising their alarms for.
That's right.
Mold is super common.
It's been around since the beginning of time.
Even the Bible talks about remediation of mold.
I mean, we don't think about that too much, but mold can start from something as innocent as a leaky faucet, right?
A leaky toilet.
And we see it a lot of times in flat roof buildings where water has built up there over time.
And we've all seen those tiles on the upper story on the ceiling of buildings that have those sort of brown looking Wet looking spots.
That can be a moldy area.
So it's more common than not.
And we deal with a lot of people routinely out of the state of Florida.
So we see a lot of mold there too.
We actually test for it, right?
So it's not uncommon to see mold as a residual effect because you just don't clean up all the moisture.
The moisture gets in there and it sort of The sheetrock and things like that just grab it up.
Carpet grabs it up.
And you try to remediate it or get it cleaned out, but you just can't get it all.
And the problem is some people deal with it fairly well and some people don't.
It's kind of an individual thing, but we're seeing it more and more today.
And in places like I'm at right now, and certainly the devastation from Helene and Milton combined and maybe others in the past and future, it is something we need to be aware of.
A lot of people are probably going to come home to their homes or their places of work, etc., and may not even realize that toxic mold has been growing there in their absence.
What are, first of all, some of the signs that you...
Well, before, let me backtrack a little bit.
What are some of the problems that mold can cause with our health?
The majority of the problems with mold that would be seen and experienced would be like sneezing, coughing, wheezing, runny nose, watery eyes, things like that, much like a cold that just doesn't go away.
Sometimes a feeling of weakness, sometimes GI disturbances.
That's a super common thing.
And when you go in a moldy place, the person would begin to experience those symptoms.
So upper respiratory things, generally speaking.
Okay.
So those might be like the first indications or warning signs that there might be, you might be exposed to mold.
Now, what would happen if you continue to be exposed to that mold?
Let's say if you're living in the place and don't realize it's there or you're working there daily, do these health issues get worse?
Do they get more serious in your opinion?
Yeah, they can get worse.
And many times they do, especially as our systems, our body systems have gotten weaker over time.
You heard me harp on this a lot with the idea of our terrain or our temple getting weaker and its ability to fight off things.
So from an immunological standpoint, we are getting weaker.
And as we get weaker, we just don't fend off this mold.
And the molds can actually give off sometimes These mycotoxins, which can actually create worse symptoms.
Two of the molds that people want to be aware of that you see a lot of times are aspergillus, which is fairly common, and something called stachyboitris, which is even more severe.
There are people that get really, really sick for years and have to actually move out of homes.
I've seen worst case scenarios where the homes have to be condemned because they just can't get it out and people can't.
But it's all like an individual thing.
Some people can be in mold and have less symptoms.
Now, will it affect them?
Yes, it's going to trigger the immune system.
But some people can be there with just a little effective mold and have massive, almost debilitating symptoms.
And we can see their immune system to be sick from other diseases as well.
Right.
That's what I heard.
I mean, it's like it almost gets into your cognitive functioning and neurological functioning and things like that.
So it could potentially be really serious if you have especially a lot of it growing in your home.
Yeah, I really can.
And, you know, people see it.
And a couple of tips people need to be aware of.
Can you clean it?
People ask, can you get it right out of there?
You know a little small part like under a sink or something like that?
You can clean it.
But don't just get some water and brush it off until it's gone because you can actually spread those spores.
If you disturb those spores, they get in the air and they can go from the air into you through your nasal passages and even through your eyes and mouth.
They can also get spun around through air ducts too and get spread to different parts of the house.
So you got to be cautious with how you clean them.
So, you know, about a good bleach and water mix would be something that would be good to do that.
If it's bigger than, say, I don't know, a couple feet around, you know, or something like that, You need to get a professional to come in there and clean it out because that really is a mess because if you don't get it all and you start to try to clean it and it spreads, it can get it worse.
And then there are some home services that can come out and test your home for mold as well.
Okay.
And if you're starting to, especially if you've been infected by the hurricane or you're living in one of these areas, is there a test that you can get?
Can you go to the doctor and test for mold poisoning or mold in your system?
Well, it depends on what doctor you go to.
Yeah, that's true.
You know, if you go to like a classic, you know, general practitioner, the mold tests are very...
Let's just call them weak.
They don't look at all the mold species and the mycotoxins that can come from them.
I like something called a mycotox.
Frankly, it's a little urine test.
Easy to do.
A person can do it at home.
I do recommend people do that.
I think it's smart.
I think it's wisdom, especially if they're having symptoms that you just can't figure out.
Because when you start having these mold symptoms, think about it from a standpoint of if your body is infected over here with mold, And that's a persistent, chronic infection that's going on all the time.
What's that going to do to your body's ability to fight other infections that you might be confronted with at some time?
What's it going to do with just normal things you might be exposed to in your life?
It's going to weaken the system.
And so I recommend people do a Mycotox test.
It takes about three weeks to get back, something like that.
It's not that expensive.
It's just a few hundred bucks, I think.
But it's well worth it to determine if you're having a large amount of mold that's affecting you.
And again, just because you're in it doesn't mean the body can't get rid of it.
But if you're in it for over a course of time, it decreases the odds that the body will get rid of it.
Gotcha.
Okay, cool.
So they could take a test and, you know, you would recommend, as would I, if anyone's been exposed to the hurricanes or your house has gotten a lot of flooding in it or something, but your home is salvageable, then you should get a mold test.
And then what about ways to prevent the impact of it?
Let's say that you have discovered that you've been exposed to mold.
What are some things people can do or take possibly to prevent it damaging them further?
Well, I've had to think a lot.
First thing I do is tell people to, if you get a positive mold test, you know, get it reviewed and we'll look at what types, you know.
Some mold comes from Things outside, you know, like if you work in a farm or something, you got wet hay, you know, and things like that.
Certain molds and mycotoxins that can show up in those areas.
But there's also the majority of them show up from, you know, wet sheetrock and things like that.
So you kind of want to look at the different types that might show up, the mold and or mycotoxins or both.
And then once you determine what types it are, Then you want to ask the questions.
Well, have you observed it in your house?
Do you live in a farm?
Have you ever seen this or that or the other?
And you kind of do a little investigation.
And first thing you want to do is sort of investigate the source because you can try to pull it out of somebody all day long, but they keep going back to the source.
It's not going to work.
But, so you eliminate the source, and the second thing you want to do is probably start some glutathione.
Glutathione is the body's chief antioxidant, and it works great as sort of a detoxification aid.
And I like it, frankly, in a liposomal form, which is a little spray bottle in your mouth.
It works really well.
I'll do two or three pumps a day and then keep my hydration up.
And that typically provokes the mold enough to be pushed out of the body.
I typically run that, Deanna, for probably about three or four weeks.
And then I will add a binder, such as a charcoal binder, which works amazing in And charcoal can be taken in a capsule form, so I'll do that a couple times a day.
And generally speaking, if we can do that, you know, eliminate the source and do that little protocol, we have pretty good success getting the body to eliminate that.
Now, they got to eat healthy and do all those things because if you don't do that, you're still unhealthy, right?
Yeah, exactly.
We can test a couple months later and typically see those mold numbers go down.
Okay, great.
Cool.
And maybe also vitamin C, vitamin D, other things that they can take to just boost their immune system while this is happening?
Yeah, like when you look at the immune system as a general rule, the immune system is ran by cells that are immune cells.
The cells have to have nutrients to operate.
If the cells in the system don't operate, the system's not going to work well.
So you've got to have your vitamins and minerals.
D is very important, 5,000 international units.
Vitamin C is critically important.
If I'm in a mold-infested area, I'm probably going to go vitamin C 1,000 milligrams a couple times a day, probably at minimum, at least to bowel tolerance.
I'm probably also going to do some vitamin A, because vitamin A is very good for the barrier health up here, because if you think about it, you're going to get it in through the breathing, the spores, you know, most of the time.
And then you've got to do your omega-3s because omega-3s will sort of help out the immune system's ability to sort of control the inflammatory response because if you're already inflamed up here and then the immune system gets triggered over here by the mold, you want the immune system to trigger a lot of inflammation to go after it.
But if it's already too high, it doesn't have anything left.
It's almost like having a gun with no more bullets.
That makes sense.
Wow.
I thought I would say it on a shot spot.
Exactly.
We got the idea.
That was a perfect picture.
And it just goes to showcase, too, just how important, again, those essentials, the omega-3s, always the omega-3s, vitamin C, vitamin D, and then vitamin A. Vitamin A is also really helpful for your skin, right, for skin protection?
It is.
Yeah, and I think I'd probably have one more zinc as well.
Yes.
We'll have to watch taking too much zinc because it can throw a copper ratio out, but probably somewhere between 20 and 30 or 40 milligrams of zinc would be a good thing to take in a sort of a preventive prophylactic mode if you're going to be in a moldy environment.
Okay, awesome.
Well, guys, thank you so much, Dr.
Sherwood, for informing everybody.
And again, people that I know that they're already disrupted, their lives are ruined or disrupted heavily from being displaced from their homes or having their homes flooded or having water damage.
But this is a potentially silent killer that they really need to be aware of after the fact and start looking into and start that process of detoxing, hopefully, if this has been going on in your home and growing in your home.
Yeah, I think it's really important because you're going to go back to home.
You want to get back to normal life, and that's outstanding.
You should.
And the insurance should be taken care of you in that.
Yeah, hopefully.
It should be.
And so it's a fact, but you might have to spend some out-of-pocket to get the proper mold testing done because you need to get the proper interpretation behind it.
Now, the insurance will probably pay for mold inspection, but always be aware of what you might discover.
And I say that with great trepidation because if you do discover a moldy home and they don't get it fixed, what are you to do?
Are you going to stay there or not?
So it really is a big disruptive situation.
And I know two cases where people have been really forced by the situation to move out of their homes.
Wow, that's...
Devastating.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Well, thank you so much.
And our prayers are with all the victims and everybody in its path of the hurricanes.
And we hope that you stay safe out there.
