A Veteran's Reflection: Chaos, Civil Unrest, and Civic Duty in a Divided America
| Copy link to current segment

Time Text
We can add political violence to the list of bullshit that's happening in our country today.
I think that it's time.
It's been a while.
Of course, unless you've been living under a rock, you don't know what's going on.
But it's been a while since the smoke has somewhat cleared from the attempted assassination of a presidential candidate and an ex-president, Mr.
Donald Trump.
I think it's leaving people to wonder, what would have happened if that bullet would have not missed its mark?
I think there are a couple different scenarios that many Americans are thinking could happen, still possibly, but certainly not.
A lot more possible had the man been laying dead on that stage.
So today's conversation, we're going to center around that idea a little bit.
So stick with us.
Don't go away.
We start now.
We start now.
I want to thank you as usual for joining us.

Okay.
So, as I was saying, I think that...
Oh, what's the best way?
What's the best way to dive on in here?
I think that there are many people who are going through what might have happened if President Trump had been killed.
On that stage that day just eight days ago.
The idea that this kid winged him in the ear and missed by that small of a margin is a pretty humbling thought.
Because it's my opinion that had he hit his target, this country would be in complete upheaval.
Dare I say, on the brink of civil war.
And so coming from a perspective of a veteran of this country...
It's an interesting conundrum to find yourself in.
Because I think that veterans...
Well, not even currently serving military personnel because you don't get to have an opinion.
You do what you're told.
But see, as we've talked about many times here, just because your time...
Wearing a uniform that says U.S. whatever branch you're in, in my case U.S. Army, on the chest.
Just because your time wearing that uniform is over, to many veterans, doesn't mean that your commitment, the oath, that was taken when you rose your right hand, is over.
For many veterans, that commitment still stands and when and if they're needed and when and if there is trouble and they can be of service to their community in some way shape or form usually it's my opinion that you see that you see those people you see them in these spaces but
here we are now And maybe, I guess maybe, it wouldn't be a very tough decision for a lot of people.
Maybe they're of the opinion that, well, I shouldn't even speculate, right?
But what are the possible?
What are the possibilities, right?
That these hardcore leftists, the deep state, the cabal, all these career douchebags that are taking up air and office space in Washington, D.C. on Capitol Hill may have had something to do with this.
President Biden may have had something to do with this alone.
The Obamas, the Clintons, the this, the that, the other thing.
I think that there's a lot of speculation.
And the truth is that we probably will never know the truth.
Not the whole truth.
I think that we will know a version of the truth that we're allowed to know by whoever controls the narrative.
But let's just say, for conversation's sake, that the kid on the roof...
I don't think that his existence even deserves his name to be mentioned.
So I'm not going to mention it.
But let's just say this kid on the roof hit his target.
And there lays an assassinated ex-president.
There lays an assassinated ex-president.
presidential candidate and arguably the most controversial presidential candidate ever in the history of this country.
I still have yet to understand why he would be the most controversial but then again I'm not shied away by somebody in a leadership position telling me like it is, black and white.
We don't have to like the truth, but the truth is what it is.
We don't have to like what's going on, but the truth is what it is.
And so if we don't like that truth, then we have every reason and every ability to change it.
So now here he lays.
People are going ape shit.
Cops are running everywhere.
Secret service agents are running everywhere.
Trying to figure out how to holster their weapons.
All these things.
That poor lady has just been annihilated.
Annihilated in the comments of social media posts on every platform under the sun.
She might want to just...
Go work in a coffee shop or something.
I don't know.
She's clearly unfit for that detail.
Maybe she should be the one wanting people in.
I don't know what the other options are for Secret Service.
But it seems like there's a lot of Secret Service jobs because they have like 7,800 Secret Service personnel.
And so now he lays there dead.
And in the next 12 hours, our mainstream media is going to fill the airwaves and the internet with all kinds of possibilities.
All kinds of stories.
All kinds of stories about this kid.
All kinds of stories about how civilians were yelling at the cops to get up there, that the dude was up there.
Stories about how the marksman teams that were police officers or secret service agents had this kid in their sights and weren't allowed to take the shot.
How buildings were filled with cops around this guy.
All these stories that we've heard.
These are all stories that we've heard since this event happened.
But the difference is that Donald Trump is laying there with a bullet in his head, or at least went through his head.
And not only are people going to be scared, not only are people going to be sad, but people are going to be pissed.
And people are pissed.
And people are scared and people are sad.
And this may have been the event that finally pushes Americans over the edge.
Now, After everything that's been done, everything that's been said, all the damage that's been done to this country and to its people, now you're killing our candidate.
The one hope that we had, at least this election season, to maybe turn things around for the better.
For a better life, for us, for our kids, for our extended families, for our co-workers, for our neighbors, for our friends.
Hell, even for our god dang dogs.
I think people put a lot of their faith and a lot of their hope.
I hate to use hope because that was Obama's thing, the hope and change bullshit.
Because he didn't do any of that.
They put a lot of that into Mr.
Trump.
And now it's gone.
Now people are going to or would have assumed that the left is responsible.
Pelosi, Hillary Clinton, Obama, who knows who else?
All kinds of people.
And they're going to be out for blood.
And it would spark, in my opinion, it would spark civil unrest for sure.
Civil war?
I don't know.
I hope not.
But on the other hand, maybe, maybe that's what it would take.
Maybe that's what it would take for the powers that be to finally see, not even finally, but to wake up and understand that the people that put you in these offices, the people that put you in these positions to make change, positions of power, These people are not happy with the job you're doing.
And we know that already.
That's clear.
But these are the people that are going to want to take their frustrations out on your ass.
And it's not going to be a pretty sight.
And so, as veterans in this country, and the oath that we speak about...
All enemies, foreign and domestic.
Okay, well, now this is domestic terrorism.
This is a domestic enemy.
The kid on the roof is dead.
There still has been really nothing to say, no proof that I've seen, to show That he was hired or working in cahoots with somebody or whatever.
It's possible that he was.
In fact, I'm willing to bet that we're gonna hear that he was at some point in the near future.
Or at least there'll be speculation.
And then what?
What do veterans do?
Now we're left to choose sides against our own people.
Now there is an option that you don't pick a side.
You continue to be a good American, be a good citizen, be a good parent, be a good friend, be a good husband or wife, be a good spouse, go to work, Pay your taxes.
Get your ass handed to you at the gas pump.
In line at the grocery store.
All that stuff.
All the stuff that we've been talking about for months now.
Or you pick a side.
And I think that's a difficult decision.
It's an extremely difficult decision because at no time in my life or my military career did I ever, ever imagine that I would have to make the decision about which group of Americans I'm going to stand against.
You see, we live under this idea, and maybe it's not we.
I can only speak for myself.
I assume that many people who have served this country have an idea that we do what we do or did For the masses.
For the totality of this country.
For everybody.
With the understanding that we don't have to agree.
We don't have to like what everybody does or says or thinks.
Because as we've said on this show before, we fought.
Many men and women have fought and sacrificed, died, been injured or maimed, psychologically damaged, for the idea that you can go ahead and hate this place if you want.
You can go ahead and talk trash about this country if you want.
That's your God-given right as an American, and it was our job as a military force to defend that right.
And so if you hate it, fine.
But I also will be one of the first people in line to help you pack your shit and get the hell out of here.
Because the last thing we need is more people causing problems.
And also, a little side note, if you're a person that hates America so much, and you're an American, but you hate it here, our flag Our flag stands for hate, stands for racism, stands for oppression, stands for nothing positive.
Renounce your citizenship and go somewhere else.
Go somewhere where you think you would have a better go of things.
Go somewhere where you think you'll be more comfortable, you'll be better accepted, Life will just be better for you.
What I find interesting is that people talk all the time about how this place sucks.
Well, why do you stay?
Why are you here?
Here's a story.
A few weeks ago at work, It's very elementary, but I think it hits home.
A few weeks ago at work, we were all discussing, well, what are we doing for lunch today?
That's a big topic of conversation at the Harley dealership where I work, because everyone likes lunch.
And the decision was made that we were going to go to Burger King.
And so we all placed our order.
One guy went to go pick it up, brought it back, and we were all standing around the counter, eating our lunch, kind of just bullshitting a little bit, keeping an eye out for customers to come to the counter.
And like two minutes into lunch, everybody kind of looked at each other and went, this is a horrible idea.
This sucks.
It was bad.
Three out of the five of us threw our food away.
Like, it was bad.
And I won't go back.
I'm not gonna go back there.
Four hours after I threw my food away, I thought I was gonna have to run home and change my shorts.
It was absolutely horrible.
So, if you're a person that feels the same way about this country that you were born and raised in, or brought to as a child, or came to, of your own free will, legally, and are now a U.S. citizen, but you hate it here and it's horrible, then get the hell out.
Go.
No one's keeping you here.
Nobody said you have to stay.
I'll help you pack.
I'll help you load up some truck.
I'll help you throw your shit on some boat and see you off.
I'm not going to wave at you because I don't give a shit, but I'll see you off.
I've never understood that.
I've never understood how people can stand by and talk about how they hate this place and this flag stands for nothing positive, just hate and racism and blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.
And then go home.
And never leave.
I read recently that Whoopi Goldberg and Megan Rapone, the woman's soccer player with the pink or purple hair, she's an effing retard.
They're going to leave.
They're going to leave.
They're out of here.
If Donald Trump's going to be president, I'm leaving.
Okay.
Nobody's going to miss you.
Nobody cares.
And that goes for anybody else.
If you hate it here and you want to leave, then go.
It's pretty simple.
But how would a civil war turn out?
What would we, as ex-military people, what would we do?
It'd be very difficult for me to To pick up arms against Americans.
Over some political BS. Now, if you're an American and you decide you want to kick in my door and try to take the things I've worked my whole life for, or scare or injure my family, my kids or my wife, or my dog Gus, You're gonna get the heat.
If you mean me or my family or my dog harm, you're gonna be met with equally but most likely greater, more intense harm.
But if you are an American that has a difference of an opinion than I have politically, It'd be tough.
It'd be tough to take up arms against Americans, I think.
And I think that that would be a conundrum for many veterans.
But then this idea that the oath that we took just doesn't go away will always be living in our minds.
Always going around in a circle in your head.
That you should be doing something.
And maybe that something is to bring the peace back.
Whatever that means.
I don't know.
I don't know.
I guess I shouldn't say that I even know what I would do.
Because I really don't.
I don't think anybody knows what they're going to do until they end up in a situation that...
That calls for them to do something.
What would you guys do?
Tell us.
Leave it below.
Put it in the comments.
What would you guys do?
If a civil war broke out, what are you going to do?
I don't know.
This is all just assuming that the idiot on the roof didn't miss.
And killed the man.
But he did miss.
Well, he didn't miss.
He winged him in the ear, but he didn't kill him.
Thankfully.
So the question is, what do we do?
What does it look like now?
What is going to happen in the weeks to come, in the months to come?
What is this country going to look like on November 5th?
Who knows?
Thank you.
But I can tell you one thing.
If you are a person who thinks or has this mentality that, well, elections are going to be fake anyway, They're all rigged.
They're all fake.
It's all bullshit.
And I'm not even going to vote?
That's the wrong answer.
And I think that there's a lot of people...
And trust me, I understand.
I understand that train of thought.
I understand how somebody can feel that way.
But I believe that it's the wrong answer.
There's been way too much given up and lost in order for people in this country to vote.
If you are a minority, a person of color, if you are a woman, you should certainly be voting.
Go be counted.
You don't have to vote for any of the candidates.
Vote for a judge.
But let's also, for a second, Since we're on voting and we're on the goat trail, we might as well go a little deeper.
I believe that it is a fundamental right that we have been given.
And not only just for presidential elections, But all of our local elections as well.
And let's be honest.
The local elections in many instances are the most important ones.
I think Jason and I talked about this very thing on the show maybe a month or two ago.
Your local government, your city and county and state government really control a lot of how your life works.
Is impacted by the things around you.
And so not rendering a vote for those things is doing yourself a massive injustice.
Things like if you have children, you should certainly be voting for your school board people.
I would argue that if you have children in the public school system, you should be at school board meetings.
And voicing your concerns.
And when there is treachery afoot and malarkey happening in your schools where your kids spend most of their time during the fall, winter, and spring, those things need to be addressed.
These people in the school system, the teachers, the administrators, the superintendents, and all the staff in between, these are the people who are trying to shape our children's minds.
their moral compass, and have a huge impact on the people that they become.
In many instances.
Because we know, we can see it if you just look around you when you're out in public.
That there are a lot of parents in our communities that are just letting their children run wild.
There's a lot of parents who just aren't really around.
They're not there.
Maybe they gotta work.
Maybe they don't give a shit.
Who knows what the issue is?
But what I can tell you is there's a lot of parents who are absent in their child's schooling, in their extracurricular activities, and in their lives in general.
So while you're there voting, keep all of that in mind.
So the next time there's a school board vote and a city council vote, And all these things, attend them.
If you can make it, go.
Get together with the people in your community and decide on what it is that you want your community to look like.
Because all these are elected positions, to the best of my knowledge.
Somebody voted to put them there.
But if there is injustices happening and shady things happening in your communities and your schools, these are the places that you need to be and your voice needs to be heard.
And it needs to get louder and louder and louder until they hear you.
I am extremely grateful that the last of our children graduated in 2023.
I don't know that I would be comfortable with my kids in a public school in today's day.
They're not learning much unless they want to.
The teachers have been just thrown to the wolves.
They can't teach all these kids because most of these kids don't want to learn.
So the children that are there that are applying themselves and asking the questions and doing the work and putting forward an effort, they're going to learn something.
And those are the kids that the teachers got to focus on.
And God bless those teachers, man.
Talk about bravery.
Those are some brave individuals.
Unless they're there to try to alter my children's moral compass.
Unless they're there to talk to my son about cutting his dick off.
Unless they're there about trying to persuade my children's political views or aspirations.
But if they're there to teach my kids the history, the real history of this country the best they can, teach them how a bank account works, teach them how to take care of themselves once they decide to leave our nests, those are the important things.
So I say all of this to go back to, you must vote.
You must be counted.
Even if you don't vote for Trump or Biden or whoever is going to be on the Democratic ticket, make sure that you vote.
I need to take a quick break.
We'll be right back.
Don't go away.
There's a whole bunch of stories that have to be dug into, rethought, reconsidered, and in some cases completely discarded.
As modern Americans, we've been spoon-fed this dumbed-down, cartoonish, simplified version of history.
It's all fake.
It's all bullshit.
Everything that we have been taught is part of a self-serving narrative written by the people who will say and do anything to keep us on a leash.
Now, this version of history, some big-name corrupt families like the Rockefellers and the Rothschilds and their many associates are credited over and over and over again with propelling human development.
Throughout the late 18 and early 1900s, almost every major American city was burnt to the ground.
What if we really are quite literally living atop the ashes of an advanced civilization that's been hidden from us?
For our entire lives.
Hey folks, welcome back here to the last half of the show.
Excuse me.
Let's just keep going.
I wanted to kind of touch on my feelings about the division in our country, right?
Like this kind of event An attempted assassination of a political candidate, and I guess it doesn't even matter that it's presidential, but a political candidate, no matter left, right, independent, doesn't matter.
The fact that there are Americans in this country that are okay with this, in my opinion, is a problem.
I had put a post on my own personal social media page with one of the pictures from the event.
And I had a few people comment, and I was surprised by this.
A few people commented about how nobody should be surprised, especially Donald Trump.
Should not be surprised.
Should I be surprised that this type of thing happened to him?
When he's been fostering hate and racism and bigotry and all these other dumbass words that were used.
What did he expect was going to happen?
Nobody should be surprised.
And I feel like That frame of mind is just complete ignorance.
I feel like people who have that opinion or that thought process have lost their ability to agree to disagree, if you will.
They've lost the ability to have any kind of compassion for anybody that may go through this.
Now, if anybody else was running as a Republican candidate, let's even say for a state legislator position, and they were as outspoken or close to as outspoken as Mr.
Trump is, They were the type of politician that calls a spade a spade.
And if you're a piece of shit, he's going to tell you that you're a piece of shit.
And why?
And why?
You should probably pack up your office and just go away.
Go do something else.
Would they still have the same opinion?
Or is it just Donald Trump?
And I believe that this hatred for this man started all the way back before he ran his first time.
And I wonder, how long are you going to hold on to hatred for one person?
And Especially when...
Especially when he did get elected.
He did win.
And he did a pretty damn good job.
Okay.
Now, if you're the type of person that says, well, you know, he probably should shut his mouth sometimes.
And he probably...
Should not say exactly what's on his mind all the time.
Okay, maybe you're right.
Maybe you're not the type of person that appreciates that kind of brutal honesty, brutal truth.
Okay.
I don't know that you're going to change that about people who are that type of person.
I don't know that anybody's going to get Donald Trump to be a little more sensitive.
Because I believe, based on the words that come out of his mouth, based on the testimonials of people who have worked in and around him, based on the people that have met him who were complete strangers to him, He loves this country.
And you don't have to like him.
You don't have to like his policies.
You don't have to like the way he does business.
You don't have to like anything about him.
You don't have to like him at all.
But the man gets shot in the ear.
Six centimeters away from being killed.
And your ignorant ass has the audacity to say that he shouldn't be surprised?
And nobody else should be surprised?
That's quite interesting.
I wonder if...
If the roles were flipped...
And it was good ol' sleepy poopy pants Joe Biden on that stage.
And he got winged in the ear.
And somebody told you or said something publicly that why should he be surprised?
He's been sniffing the hair of kids.
Doing God knows what's what behind closed doors.
Who knows how deep he's in with Hunter's bullshit.
Who knows how deep he's in with all these other leaders from around the world that are up to no good.
Why would anybody be surprised?
He should be expecting it to happen.
The people on the left and the supporters would go absolutely ballistic.
And I think it comes down to, really guys, it comes down to common sense.
It comes down to, like, the golden rule.
Treat people how you want to be treated.
You don't have to agree.
You don't have to like it.
But since when in this country has political violence been something that somebody should be expecting because of the words that came out of their mouth...
Furthermore, all of the accusations about Mr.
Trump, to the best of my knowledge, have been proven or found to be inaccurate or false, completely false.
And so why do people hate him so much?
I guess I'll never understand that.
But if a civil war were to break out in this country, I'm sorry to say, but those ignorant-ass people, like the ones leaving but those ignorant-ass people, like the ones leaving comments, are probably some of the first ones that are going to get put away.
Bye.
Thank you.
Whatever that looks like.
Because it seems like Mr.
Trump's got all of the gun-toting, back-home, corn-fed Americans.
And I think we saw the same thing around the time the George Floyd masquerade happened.
The people on the left with purple hair got all crazy because a black man overdosed on the streets of Minneapolis on fentanyl.
And because he wasn't cooperating with police, and there was a white man that was subduing him, it was his fault, and now the guy's sitting in prison for murder.
And maybe that's a whole conversation for a whole other show.
But let's not forget all of the evidence and all of the professional people that specialize in these types of things were not allowed in court.
The criminal history of George Floyd was not allowed in court.
There's a whole lot of things that weren't allowed in court.
All of those things that would have helped that officer who now sits in prison.
But I digress.
And so we do all of this arguing and this spinning of our wheels.
And we expel a lot of energy and a lot of time and a lot of effort arguing.
And my question to you is, what do we really get accomplished?
What do we really get done?
How are our communities really benefiting?
How is this country benefiting from all of this, what I like to call smoke and mirrors?
And so what are the chances And I don't agree that things like the attempted assassination of Donald Trump was set up, and it was set up to get winged in the ear, and he had some super-secret James Bond-style explosive device on the back of his ear to rip the top off,
and there was speakers or firecrackers or whatever that were the sound of the bullet, whatever.
There's so many stupid people that are just saying whatever the hell they can say on platforms just to get views and this and that to make money and be seen and be heard.
And hear that coming from a guy who's sitting here with you now on a platform to be heard.
But I guess the difference is I'm not throwing out a bunch of conspiracy theories.
I'm trying to just understand that.
Where the hell people are coming from?
And I think that a lot of people in this country are confused.
They're confused about the same thing.
Where the hell are you getting this?
Why is there such a huge gap in the understanding of things that happen?
The kid gets on the roof.
He evades police to get on the roof.
And there's all kinds of things that happen there, but eventually he takes a shot at a presidential candidate, hits him in the ear, murders a guy, injures another.
It causes this complete, complete upheaval of an event that was supposed to be fun.
It's supposed to be a good time for the people that support this guy who's running for president.
In the middle of a cornfield, it looked like.
They're not in some big city bothering everybody.
They're in the heartland of America.
And the place is packed.
But now we have all this, all this even more division, more polarization, more More dumbass bullshit.
Shards of glass that are shooting out of the teleprompter.
Well, it was perfectly aimed to hit him in the ear.
Come on.
I agree that there's a lot that goes into...
Duping Americans into believing a certain narrative.
But some of these folks go just way over the top.
Way, way over the top.
That's completely unnecessary.
Why can't we support the candidate that we support?
Go listen to him speak.
Because, correct me if I'm wrong, these rallies, right, these rallies are supposed to be a place for people who are supporters already, but maybe even people who are on the fence to come and hear the man talk about what his views are and what he wants to do to turn this country around, to maybe change some minds and get more voters.
Isn't that the whole idea of a political campaign?
Try to win more votes than the other guy?
But see, what I think is happening.
So, if we're all spitting out conspiracy theories, here's mine.
It ain't much of a conspiracy.
My thought is this.
Donald Trump was getting too close.
And the people that he talks about cleaning out of the swamp, I think that they know that he knows a lot more than we as Americans know.
And there's people close to Mr.
Trump that know a lot more than he knows maybe.
And all these greasy ass politicians They may see the writing on the wall.
They may think that their time is coming to an end.
And they're so hungry for power and control.
They're so greedy for it.
They'll do anything.
Do I think that someone on the left or a group of people on the left or a group of people from anywhere...
Hired this kid or talked him into doing what he did?
I don't know.
Is it possible that this kid was just in a dark place and just didn't care for Donald Trump and thought that he was going to take care of the problem on his own?
Is it possible the kid was mentally handicapped at all?
Maybe his parents gave him a little too much freedom with the family guns.
Clearly.
I don't know.
I don't know what the answers are to that.
But what I do know is that he missed.
And the fact that he missed has sparked a fire.
Under the asses of people in this country, and in my opinion, when Donald Trump stood up and pumped his fist and screamed the word fight, that won him the election, in my opinion.
People who were on the fence were no longer on the fence.
People who were already supporters are now staunch supporters.
Not to be swayed.
And I think he's got it.
But we will see.
There's a long time between now and November 5th.
I just hope that they can keep him safe.
Just in case, in the off chance...
That this was set up and somebody is trying to kill him.
At the end of the day, I would not be surprised.
But if that happens, get ready to hunker down and fight, folks.
Because a civil war, in my opinion, is coming.
Or, we're going to get damn close to it.
So, whether you fight or not, I guess, is up to you.
But be prepared to hunker down.
Shit's going to get crazy for a while, I would imagine.
Anyway, that's all we have time for today.
As always, I want to thank you for being here.
It's an honor to be here with you.
I appreciate each and every one of you.
So take care of each other.
We will see you next week.
Have a great rest of your weekend and evening.
