I'm going to fill this box here and I'm going to try to replicate the indoor environment that most people face anywhere in the world today.
The more energy efficient That we become.
The more airtight that we make our houses, the more toxic it is for our environment.

I was only in the midst of having a home birth and getting things ready.
And it's fantastic because my daughter was actually brought into the world in a pool of water.
We decided to do a home birth as I implore everybody to do.
And it's actually fantastic that we got to bring in the birthing inside of water, because I don't know if you guys know this, but in the Holy Scripture, water is actually mentioned more often than faith, hope, prayer, and worship.
That's how important water is.
I think it's also fantastic that a lot of the miracles that Jesus performed was actually done around water.
If you remember, his very first miracle was turning water into wine.
It makes me think about how many other people were also able to perform miracles around water.
You think about Moses splitting the Red Sea, and you think about how much water we have inside of our body.
So today, I'm going to be bringing on a very special guest.
He's actually been sitting right next to me since the beginning of the podcast.
So it's actually fantastic.
Guys, this is going to be an unbelievable dive.
Anything that you thought you knew about water, unless you've met Dr.
Paul previously to this podcast...
We are going to blow your minds with so much truthful information, and we are going to have an honest and an integrity-driven conversation about H2O. So without further ado, Dr.
Paul Baratero.
How are you?
Dr.
Paul.
Good, brother.
So sitting behind us is probably one of your sleekest designs.
We've got the H2, which is the official hydrogen machine of airwaterhealing.com.
Briefly, give us your background about what got you into water.
So it really starts, all credit goes to my sweetheart, my queen, and love of my life of almost 30 years now, marriage, Jacqueline.
She was sick.
The first 10 years of our marriage, thyroid issues, gynecological issues, anemia, you name it, she had issues going on.
She'd be in bed for a week a month during her menstrual cycle, doubled over in pain.
And so here I was, first 10 years of my marriage, going, what the heck, right?
I'm new to marriage.
I'm new to everything.
I don't know what's going on.
I'm helping people with diabetes, but I didn't know what to do for my wife.
And so I had to really figure out, I had to dig deep and try to figure out.
And through that process of learning what could possibly help my wife, I was able to discover how water can be a vehicle to To bring things into your body that can actually help you heal.
So that's really where my journey began, was helping my wife.
That's incredible.
It reminds me very much of Derek, you know, Derek, who you've met.
His wife was actually, weeks at a time, she would be in bed, and he thought that she would never, ever be able to be healed to where she is now.
So, you know, his whole entire life was about driven technology, data management companies, and now he's on this healing path with me with Air Water Healing.
It's incredible how, you know, God has kind of connected us.
We've got to give a shout-out to Dr.
Fab Mancini, the number one most amazing chiropractor in the world, mentor to millionaires.
He's the best-selling author.

So with the 175,000-pound elephant in the room, there's a lot of talk about hydrogen, right?
There's a lot of talk about companies that are out there And I think the best way to do business is to never bash another company.
So in the most polite way, what separates the H2 machine?
And again, if you guys go to airwaterhealing.com and you go to our product section, we have all of the hydrogen products that are there.
We're going to dig into the Echo Go, the Echo Go Plus, and some other products that Dr.
Paul's been developing over the last 30 years that But I mean, when most people hear, they think about Alcaviva, they think about Enagic, they think about a lot of these network marketing companies, which is great because I think network marketing is absolutely fantastic.
I think it's a great way to separate yourself from the mediocre payroll to making a lot of wealth if you do it properly.
But there's also the stigma that, and this is me speaking, That when you have to pay a certain level of commissions deep, you can't put as much money as you want into research and development and quality control.
And that's true.
It's 100%.
But what we want to know is what separates the air-water-healing H2 hydrogen machines versus what everybody else in the industry is pretty much putting out there right now.
I was the first person to start talking about hydrogen.
Everyone thought I was crazy.
This goes back to 2008, 2009.
There was nothing out there on it.
But I had learned that hydrogen gas was the reason why the alkaline water systems had benefits.
I sold a quarter million alkaline water machines.
In fact, Alcaviva is what still remains of the original company in the alkaline world that I was in with two partners.
But the reality is we were selling thousands of machines a month 15, 16, 18 years ago, and they were all about alkaline.
But it was not the pH that brought the effects.
It was the hydrogen gas.
So in 2009, 2010, I began developing a machine that would be focused on producing hydrogen gas without the limitations of the alkaline machines.
Because the problem is the minerals will build up on the electrodes in an alkaline machine within a few weeks.
And if you don't clean the minerals off, as the manufacturers, most of them tell you to, you won't be able to dissolve hydrogen gas anymore.
So the difference with the hydrogen, the ECHO H2 machine, is the fact that you never have to clean it to have hydrogen.
You will always have hydrogen.
It doesn't matter the mineral content in the water.
You can have zero minerals.
You can have tons of minerals.
You'll still produce hydrogen gas and the machine will not have a problem.
We of course do have cleaning cartridges, but it's not mandatory for the hydrogen.
Like all of the alkaline machines, you have to clean those machines every two weeks to three weeks, four weeks if you want to have a therapeutic concentration of hydrogen.
So the big difference is me wanting to focus on what the mechanism of healing was and create a device that only produces that but does not produce the pH in the water because...
I would notice when we were selling the machines and some people that would drink the alkaline water, about 15% of the population would have a Hertzheimer effect when you gave them alkaline water.
Now, the salespeople would always tell them, oh, that's detox symptoms.
But it's not true.
It was just it threw your body out of balance.
And so they would have what's called a Hertzheimer effect.
There is no benefit medically for drinking a higher pH water.
There are tremendous benefits from getting hydrogen in water.
In fact, today we have zero studies showing that there is any benefit to alkaline pH solution or water that you're drinking But there are 1,250 studies, 217 are human double-blind placebo-controlled studies with 217 disease models.
So the science is very, very specific.
It is hydrogen gas that's producing the benefit, not the pH of the water.
And let me ask you this.
When you talk about some of these alkaline machines, the leaders in the bunch, when they sell you the machine, they always say that the machines are...
Self-cleaning.
about is actually opening up the back of the machine and taking out those electrodes or taking out those discs.
I know there's some people that even talk about ceramic balls.
There's people that talk about platinum.
There's people that have triple bound gold titanium plated.
It's just, to me, it's like one of those, it's a marketing scheme.
You got to be able to have something with One guy's got gold.
One's got a ceramic ball.
One's got eight plates.
One's got seven.
One's got nine.
And, you know, 24-karat gold, triple platinum, palladium.
And it's like, okay, man, we're going to Wakanda to mine this stuff.
It's like, come on, man.
At some point, you know, we defeated four of the Mandalorians to get to the seventh gold level.
And...
Let me ask you, to answer that question, which I think I just did, the self-cleaning that it does every time you turn the machine off is not the cleaning that the machine recommends or the owner's manual wants you to do, correct?
Right.
When the machines that are alkaline have a cleaning cycle, what they're doing is they're focusing on making acid water for an amount of time.
Typically, it's just a setting after 10 liters or 20 liters of water has gone through the device.
they'll go ahead and make some acid water and let it supposedly dissolve off of the electrodes, the minerals, the calcium specifically.
That's what the system does.
The problem is by the time you get to 10 liters of water gone through, it's too late to try and clean it because you've already having calcium that's bonded to the electrodes.
Once the calcium is bonded, the only way to get it off is citric acid, and you need to get citric acid into that chamber.
Then in some cases, if it's been a long time, which is most cases, then you would have to disassemble the device, pull out the electrodes, and actually debride them or get rid of the buildup on them with calcium polys, You know, the calcium, the minerals build up, you would need to put citric acid or you need to put something to dissolve that off the electrode.
Now, most of them will use a citric acid.
like some of the major companies, they have citric acid cleaning cartridge you can put and run with the machine.
That's going to help greatly.
You would need to do two or three cycles typically to get the majority of it off.
The problem is in their own warranty, they say you have to clean the machine every two weeks.
But when the salesman is selling you the machine, they don't tell you you're going to have to clean this every two weeks to have hydrogen.
But because of my work on hydrogen, they're talking about hydrogen.
And so it's a little bit of a problem because imagine if you bought a car, but you had to change the oil every two weeks.
Who would want to do that?
And then you'd be really ticked off if the salesman didn't tell you, hey, this particular car, you have to clean the oil every two weeks.
And you're like, wait a minute.
I thought 3,000 miles was bad enough.
I've got to do it every two weeks.
So I just feel like honesty, transparency, we need to make sure that we're telling consumers exactly what the life cycle is, exactly what the maintenance demand is going to be.
And on the Echo devices, there is no maintenance.
There is no mandatory maintenance demand.
We do have citric acid cleaning cartridges you can use once a year, every two years, just for peace of mind.
But you do not have any mandatory cleaning.
And there is no cleaning cycle on the Echo H2 machine because it is impossible for So the water never touches the cathode in the H2 machine.
That's right.
Now, one of the things that I really fell in love with, specifically the H2, and without spending too much diving into the Echo Go Plus, which if you guys look very closely, you can actually see the hydrogen being dissolved inside of this water.
I want to throw a couple things that are out there before we get into the shelf life of the hydrogen that the H2 produces.
That is when I first bought my Enagic machine, I remember the girl that sold it to me.
She told me that this is chugging water, meaning that the hydrogen has a very small shelf life.
And they described it as if you need to drink this almost immediately.
And I was like, well, I can't carry this machine around with me.
I go to trade shows all over the country.
I can't bring it with me.
I'm going to put this on my back.
Yeah.
So I'm getting ready to head to the airport, and I'm like, okay, I guess I'm chugging hydrogen, and then I'm drinking tap water or bottled water for the next four or five days.
And absolute fallacy, if you guys believe that there's not sodium fluoride inside of your water, go look at all the bottled water companies that are out there, Mountain Valley, Zephyrhills.
They all still have fluoride in it.
There's a certain amount of it from either the treatment or the ground spring that they get it.
The hydrogen produced by the H2 that's on airwaterhealing.com...
Your water is holding hydrogen much, much longer than these alkaline water machines.
Is that true?
Yes.
And there might not even be any hydrogen dissolved.
And so there's a couple fallacies I want to talk about, and I want to answer your question very succinctly and specifically.
Number one, when calcium is bonded to the electrodes like we already talked about, you won't be dissolving hydrogen.
The machine can still produce hydrogen and you'll still see the hydrogen bubbles in the water, but that does not at all mean that you've dissolved the hydrogen in the water.
And so why is that critical?
Because we have to get the hydrogen through your stomach, through your duodenum or duodenum, and then through the small intestine and into the colon.
That's where we need the hydrogen is specifically in your colon to help your gut function.
So if we're only having gas in the water that's going to go out to atmosphere in seconds, there's really very little benefit, if any, that you're going to receive.
So what's critical is that we're actually dissolving the hydrogen gas.
And once we do dissolve the hydrogen gas, we have tested this using gas chromatography, which is laboratory equipment, in our water.
The gas, the hydrogen gas dissolved, will last up to six to eight hours.
If you just have it in a glass, a regular glass that's open to atmosphere, your half-life is at three to five hours.
Your total is like six to eight hours.
So again, it's not chugging water.
But if it takes you longer than six to eight hours to drink a glass of water, we do have coaching programs to help you drink water faster.
But most people think six to eight hours is plenty of time to drink a glass of water.
That 100%, I think, would be most people couldn't find out where to go to get those classes if they're not drinking the water fast enough.
So now one of the things that absolutely blew my mind is when I did buy my first alkaline machine, I was told very specifically by the salesperson, they said, you need to hook this up.
To your tap water.
And they asked me a question that I'll never forget.
They said, do you have a whole home RO system?
And I said, I do not.
And they said, good.
And I said, why?
And they said, well, our machine won't work with RO. And I said, well, what about distilled?
They said, no, it won't work with distilled water either.
So what I want to ask you is...
If you are on the same pathway as me, and I believe wholeheartedly that anything that Dr.
Group does, he puts his entire life into, man loves distilled water.
If I take distilled water, can I use distilled or RO water in my Enagic machine or most of the other alkaline machines that are on the market?
No, because there's not enough conductivity in the water for these alkaline machines to work the way they're designed.
They have to have conductivity, and there's no conductivity in RO or distilled water.
So no, that's why they're telling you that, is because their machine cannot process water that is distilled or RO. And what about your machines?
We love RO and distilled.
In fact, we sell an RO system.
So, like Dr.
Group, distilled water has always been the gold standard in medicine.
You know, as a medical professional myself, the gold standard of water has always been distilled because it's considered pure.
Reverse osmosis is a much more practical way to get pure water in a typical home, less expensive and less maintenance.
But that would be the water of choice, especially in our day and age with all the chemicals and the contaminants and who knows what the heck's in your water at any given moment.
Having distilled water or RO water, reverse osmosis water, would be the water of choice.
Now, someone's going to immediately say when they hear this, oh, but what about the minerals in the water?
Because doesn't reverse osmosis remove them or distilled water remove them?
Yes.
And they'll say, well, then isn't the water going to leach?
I've been told it's going to leach minerals out of your body.
And that's false, completely false information.
There is no study ever been done to show that reverse osmosis or distilled water is going to leach minerals out of you.
And here's the funny thing.
You're drinking the water, so where is it leaching to?
It's still inside of you.
So if it's leaching minerals, they're still in you.
But the point is...
Water doesn't need minerals.
And we do need minerals, but we don't need the minerals in water.
And this is one of the big wives tales or the misnomers in the water industry is they talk about how important it is that water have minerals because if it doesn't, it's dead water.
That's what they say, right?
Dead water.
The problem, it's not true.
There is no issue with having pure water.
Pure water is wonderful for your body.
The thing that I want you to understand is the minerals that are in water naturally, in tap water or spring water, they're coming from dirt.
They're coming from rock.
And so they are inorganic minerals.
Your body doesn't utilize inorganic minerals.
Plants, they will take up inorganic minerals, convert it to an organic state, and then you eat those vegetables and you get minerals through food.
This is the way our body is designed to get minerals, is out of food content.
You should never be, never be counting on your water as your mineral source.
Now, some people will add salt or Celtic salt or other types of beneficial salt that have trace minerals.
Not talking about that.
You can add salt after the fact.
You can add minerals after the fact.
No problem.
I'm talking about the minerals that are naturally or normally in tap water are not the kind of minerals you want for your body.
So don't worry about them being removed while you're removing contaminants because the most important thing is to get the contaminants out of the water.
And if you remove some of the minerals as well, it doesn't matter.
I also want to point out that Most people who suffer from chronic pain in this country is due to inflammation.
And one of the things that I noticed on the Hydrogen Study website was there's a lot of research that goes into talking about the hydrogen potentially reducing, if not eliminating, inflammation in the body, which to me is one...
And we don't We don't do any sports endorsements here at Self Wellness, but there's a lot of players out there that are drinking your hydrogen water.
I know a couple of them here in Florida that have the H2 machines installed, and they're doing pretty good.
They're doing pretty good this year.
I would love for you to maybe dive a little bit into the filter.
So the filter that's inside of the machine, I know that you guys have the filter.
And if you guys go to Air Water Healing, we have Paul's whole home system as well.
But a lot of time, money, and research went into the actual filter.
I'll actually have a bigger story about the filter.
We'll put it up on the website.
But some of the sediment, and go a little bit into the KDF and why you decided to put what you did into that filter, because there's a lot of even...
Alkaline machines that are out there that either have no filter or a very, very cheap filter.
So you guys went above and beyond with the filter.
If somebody doesn't want to spring and spend the extra money on your guys' RO system that you have that does go very well with this machine, talk about that filter.
Yes.
So the filter that's in the Echo H2 machine and the Echo Ultimate, the two machines that have the filter built in, we have tourmaline, which is a gem from Asia, which puts far-infrared energy into the water.
It's wonderful to support the body energetically.
Then you have a layer of highly activated carbon from coconut husk that is going to remove your organics, your VOCs, all your contaminants that carbon, or highly activated carbon, Then we have KDF55. KDF55 is a very proprietary media that removes heavy metals, pesticides, pharmaceuticals.
It also removes bacteria and viruses.
It can be a viricide or a bacterial.
As well.
And so then after the KDF-55, we have another layer of highly activated carbon.
In between each of those layers, we have a membrane that's a.01 micron that only allows certain particle sizes through.
So when you combine all of these medias along with the membranes, you end up having a very, very effective filter.
So with the membranes, the multiple types of media, we have created an extremely robust and effective filter that's going to remove heavy metals, pesticides, pharmaceuticals, glyphosate, all the kind of things you would not want, VOCs, you name it, plastics, the forever chemicals, all these kind of things that you would not want in your water, they'll be removed.
And I always say, Don't cause your body to be a filter.
Purchase a filter.
Make sure you get a filter.
Don't cause your body to filter all the stuff out.
Get rid of it before it gets to your body so that you don't have such a demand on your system.
You already have your liver and kidney and pancreatic system working over time as it is.
Absolutely.
We've been telling people for 15 years in the trade show business with our air purifiers, I say, folks, remember, if you don't have a purifier, you are the purifier.
So here are the ones that's breathing that stuff in, heavy metals and, you know, shedded vaccine particles getting into your lungs.
Let's go proactively remove it.
Before we dig a little bit deeper into...

I would love to dig into your brain a little bit And ask you specifically, when it comes to the waters that are out there, typically, plastic is a huge concern.
And especially the plastic bottles that you might be drinking a bottle of water when you buy it from the grocery store.
Six months, a year, a year and a half, that water, and if it's not climate controlled, you better believe that it's leaching all of these microplastics and chemicals.
How important is it for people to stop drinking water from plastic bottles?
It's extremely important.
I'll tell you why.
Even if you kept it in a cold facility, let's just take the heat out of it.
There was a study done in Europe on 16 brands of bottled water.
And I'm talking about not every plastic bottle on Earth.
I'm talking about these 16 ounce, the typical 900 ml bottles of water that you typically get in the store all the time.
When they manufacture them, they're starting with pure water.
However, they start with a piece of plastic about the size of my thumb here, and they melt it down, and they form what's called vacuum forming.
They vacuum form the plastic bottle.
If they would leave that bottle to gas off for two days, then it would be fine.
But no one does that.
After they form the bottle, it moves to the next station and it gets filled with pure water.
Well, once that pure water goes into that bottle, All of the gassing off of chemicals, all of those harmful plasticizers and everything else come into the water.
They cap it, put it in a box, and on a truck it goes.
And so in this study done in Europe, there was over 20,000 harmful chemicals in a single bottle of water.
And what they showed is that if all you drink was a tenth of an ounce, Of the 16 ounces, you would have 90% androgenic receptor activity gone in the body and 60% estrogenic receptor activity.
So imagine your hormone receptors in your body weren't functioning anymore, and gender, being able to understand gender, your body's own ability to understand estrogenic and androgenic receptor activity in the body, which is basically gender understanding, your body's own ability to understand estrogenic and androgenic receptor activity in
And then in addition to that, there were sterility issues, there were issues having children, there were issues for females down the road drinking that water causing disruption in all different systems.
And then they found carcinogen, a lot of carcinogens that were cancer-causing.
What would be better?
Because I can tell you that water is one of the most confusing topics.
People don't know what to trust.
They don't know which water's right.
Everyone says their water's the best.
Here's the deal.
The best choice is always to take water, filter it before you put it in your body, and then you know that you've removed the contaminants.
Purchasing bottles of water, especially plastic, can have a lot of problems.
And not even to mention they've been sitting...
For months.
So typically you find more bacteria count in them as well because you have the water just sitting on shelves and in trucks for months.
So there's every reason in the world.
And then if you're someone who actually cares about the environment, you know, you don't want the ocean full of plastic bottles.
You don't want all of our landfills full of unnecessary plastic bottles.
It's far better to get a reusable bottle, glass or Plastic even.
And put clean water in it.
It's much better than being wasteful.
Now, I will say that if it comes to the turtles being safe or me being served a paper straw, I'm sorry, guys, but I still want the plastic straw because those paper straws, that was the dumbest thing ever.
Wherever that guy is or that girl is, shame on you and shame on your family because you get about four sips out of those straws Try drinking a good organic fresh squeezed lemonade with that paper straw.
It is the most dumb, stupid thing that was ever done.
Bring your own straw.
Yeah, that's kind of where we're at with this.

And Dr.
Paul even said that over 200 of them were human trials.
And these were done with specific diseases and what hydrogen water could specifically do to target, alleviate, eliminate.
And these are the studies themselves.

We could sit here from now until Christmas reading you guys the benefits of hydrogen.

Where did you...
How did you decide in your life that you wanted to name the water company Echo?
Because all I could think about is the well.
Like if you're in a well and you're looking for clean water and you're like, hello, hello, hello, where did the name Echo come up?
Well, it's an interesting story.
It was actually years ago a customer that wanted, believe it or not, they ended up with 25 patents on floor cleaning.
Okay.
And they called it ECHO, but it stood for electrically charged H2O. And when they had to abandon the IP because they got sued by another company that had ECHO in a floor cleaning solution, I grabbed it up.
And so I liked Echo.
This was before Amazon had Echo, right?
So I grabbed up Echo and we changed it instead of saying electrically charged because people kept saying, am I going to be electrocuted?
And I'm like, yes, of course.
That's what we're doing.
Yes, yes.
Yeah, that's what we do.
But I changed it to where it says Echo and then underneath hydrogen enriched water.
Yeah.
We had already been selling for years and people loved the brand Echo, but that's where it came up from.
So it was electrically charged H2O and it all made sense.
Now we do enriched, hydrogen enriched, so it kind of makes sense as well.
But that's Echo.
But it's been around for a long time, literally back from 2009.
So, you know, long before anyone else was talking about hydrogen.
I was talking about hydrogen.
Everyone said I was crazy.
And then a couple years later they said I was brilliant.
That's what happens when science catches up with something that you're doing.
Well, I can tell you that the one mission that we've always had is to have the best water, the best air purifiers, the best supplements.
And we've done a lot of research.
Derek himself has done a lot of research.
And I think there's a lot of people that you and I know.
We're not going to do a bunch of name dropping today, but there are a lot of people in both our inner circle and I think the most important thing is that Paul is a God-fearing man.
His person that he wakes up in the morning that he answers to is Jesus.
And to us, that's more important than probably any relationship that we have.
Because when we leave here, the only thing that we bring with us is our soul.
Everything else gets left behind.
