We'll be right back.
Banks are getting bailed out.
And who's going to pay for it?
You are.
They say taxpayers won't pay.
They say other banks won't pay.
But how do those banks get the money?
They'll probably raise your bank fees like they always do.
And if the feds step in, you'll likely also be paying an inflation tax.
In times like this, storing all your money in a bank may be very risky, as we have seen.
So what can two average Joes like you and me do about it?

All right, guys, welcome back to Shots Fired.
I thought today I would do a little special spicy treat for y'all.
So last night, obviously, was the first presidential Republican debates.
All right.
And we've got a lot to say about how that went.
We talked about a little bit earlier.
Lots of things were thrown out.
Lots of mud was slung.
And of course, President Trump did not attend the debate.
He went to Tucker Carlson for that interview.
So in honor of the first Republican debates and things starting to heat up in this presidential election cycle, I've invited two individuals to to come on and have our own debate.
I will be the moderator.
And these two individuals are going to defend their chosen candidates.
All right?
And you, as a viewer, can make a decision based on the facts that they're going to throw out there of who is more appealing to you after this debate.
So number one, we've got in the first corner, we've got Chris Nelson from Florida, aka Reopen Chris, and he will be defending Ron DeSantis, Governor Ron DeSantis.
And in corner number two, we've got Charles Downes, who's a ultra super MAGA loyalist who will defend President Trump.
All right, without further ado, let's get on to the debate here.
Alright guys, now those who are debating, who are debating right now, the master debaters, you guys kind of know each other, you sort of know each other from Twitter from afar, but please give a quick 30 second introduction to who you are, just in case the viewers don't know, and to each other.
Let's start with Chris Nelson first.
Hello, Deanna.
Thanks for having me on.
I'm Chris Nelson.
I'm an independent reporter down here in South Florida.
I've written for the Epoch Times and I currently write for Floridian Press.
I also was active in fighting back against COVID mandates with mass burnings, marches, and different things like that to pressure Governor Ron DeSantis into reining in the local governments That we're implementing these things, which he did, and signed protections to make sure it can never happen again.
And that's when Ron DeSantis won me over.
And I think it's an easy choice that Ron DeSantis should be the GOP nominee for president.
All right, great.
And were you always a DeSantis supporter, or were you at one time a Trump supporter?
I'm a two-time Trump voter.
I had a lot of hope for him in 2016.
But the guy that we're seeing today, he has a record he needs to stand on.
He's got a lot of questions he needs to answer on failures that he had during his presidency.
And Trump lost me when he turned the country over to Dr.
Fauci.
He started to lose me at that point.
I still voted for him again in 2020 because of what we had coming under Biden, which what we've seen come to fruition.
But then his continuation to not fight back and be the voice against mandates and continuing to push the vaccine and to not go back and admit that he made some errors and to double down on this.
And then when he had the audacity to attack Ron DeSantis, Three days before the election because he saw him as a political threat, that's when Trump completely lost me.
And I just realized that this guy is not the time for right now.
He's got a horrible record at this point, especially from 2020 on, where Ron DeSantis really picked up that mantle, fighting back against mandates and fighting back against wokeism as well and gender ideology and these type of things.
And really protect the Floridians to make sure that lockdowns and mandates can never happen again.
That's when Ron DeSantis won me over.
And to me, the choice is absolutely easy.
If we put Donald Trump up, we're going to lose up and down the ticket.
If we put Ron DeSantis up, it's going to be an easy layup and we'll get Biden out of office.
All right.
Thank you, Chris Nelson.
And Charles Downes, Trump supporter, okay?
Try to keep it to 30 seconds if you can, but tell everybody again, who are you?
And it sounds like you and Chris have been into some Twitter debates as well, right?
Oh, yeah.
Reopen Chris, man.
He loves talking to me on Twitter.
Sometimes the truth kind of hurts.
Reopen Chris's feelings a little bit, but that's okay.
That's okay.
But yeah, I'm Charles Downes, at the Charles Downes on Twitter.
I write for the fine publication National File.
I think we can all agree National File is a pretty great publication and we want to just debate can agree how awesome it is.
And what's interesting is I live here in DC in Arlington.
During the Trump years, I guess you could say I was a grassroots lobbyist.
It was cool.
I actually got a front row seat to the Republican establishment and how stuff happens in this town.
After the 2020 election, Antifa clocked me in the face for wearing a Trump shirt as I was trying to literally leave the...
I wasn't at the White House, but the White House complex area.
And it was cool.
Not cool that I got beat up or anything, but it was cool that Donald Trump actually contacted me before my parents did.
So the video went real viral, like 15 million views on Twitter alone.
But yeah, the Trump White House was in connection with me before actually any of my family members contacted me and Don't get me wrong, they contacted me, but it was that quick.
And after, I guess, like building a relationship with them and just kind of growing from there, for me personally, like I said, I've had a front row seats to see the terrible, awful, rhino, globalist Republicans.
I know who they are.
I know who their staffs are.
I know basically what the game is.
And for me personally, I've seen every single one of them Election night, 2022.
I watched them all clap.
And I, like, almost cry when Ron DeSantis was re-elected.
I've personally seen their Trump hate.
And that's why I believe Donald Trump needs to be re-elected president.
He is the only one who can come into D.C. and completely obliterate the deep state.
Okay, first of all, the first topic is the debate itself and the upcoming debates.
President Trump has made the decision to skip the debate.
For the first debate, and for the foreseeable future, possibly, he will skip all the debates.
He said that the public already knows who I am, and he doesn't feel like he needs to debate.
Obviously, during the debate time last night, he chose to, instead of debate, he chose to go on Tucker Carlson and have an interview with him.
So let's talk, let's direct the question first to Charles Downs.
What do you think of Trump's decision to skip the debate?
Well, it was very smart, actually.
Why would Donald Trump attend a debate that's literally rigged by his enemies?
First off, Fox News is a debate host and I like to call Fox News the DeSantis News Channel because Paul Ryan has literally rigged the shows to ensure Ron DeSantis receives favorable treatment and Donald Trump receives unnecessary hate.
Also, Ron DeSantis, no one else is polling close to Donald Trump, so why would he show up and get attacked on by people who are polling at 10, 2, 0 percent?
The whole idea to hit Trump during the debates is so in the general election they can stuff the ballots with mail-in voting and then they can make the excuse if Donald Trump loses by 30 or 40,000 votes like what happened in 2020.
That, oh, Republicans just didn't turn out because they don't like Donald Trump.
Trump should not be putting himself in that situation.
Also, Atta Hutchinson, or Asha Hutchinson, however you want to call that guy, he literally signed the GOP loyalty pledge, which was required for the debate.
But then he went on MSNBC and said he wouldn't support Trump if he was the nominee.
So Fox News already isn't even holding up their own debate standards.
Again, why would Donald Trump show up to something that is literally rigged against him and rigged against the America First movement so then they can rig the election a year from now?
It makes no sense.
Okay.
All right.
Good answer.
Good answer.
Now let's hand it over to Chris.
What do you think about Trump's decision to not attend the debate?
Well, hi, Deanna.
Thank you so much for having me on.
And, you know, what I just heard in that response is Trump is afraid of Bret Baier and Paul Ryan.
And, you know, he says this is a rigged system against him.
Well, what does he expect to see if he becomes president again?
This kind of describes some of his past behavior.
And his fear of Dr.
Fauci, his fear of the Democrat Party, his fear of the media.
I mean, Donald Trump has a real fear of the media.
That's why he didn't fire Tony Fauci.
That's why he didn't do what was necessary.
That's why he shut down the country.
But I think the most important thing is he is afraid of Ron DeSantis.
He does not want to be on that debate stage with Ron DeSantis.
And I don't blame him.
If you've seen Ron DeSantis, you see how this man debates.
It's not a territorial dispute either.
As president of the United States, your first obligation is to defend our country and its people.
And that means you're sending all this money, but you're not doing what we need to do to secure our own border.
We have tens of thousands of people who are being killed because what we're not handling both...
And so I am going to declare it a national emergency.
I'm not going to send troops to Ukraine, but I am going to send them to our southern border.
When these drug pushers are bringing fentanyl across the border, that's going to be the last thing they do.
We're going to use force and we're going to leave them stone cold dead.
And Donald Trump owes us.
An explanation for some of these things.
He owes us an explanation for why he didn't fire Fauci.
He owes us an explanation for why the wall wasn't built.
He owes us an explanation for why Hillary Clinton wasn't prosecuted like he said she would be.
And, you know, you're seeing him send all these surrogates and it's really just becoming a clown show.
But the bottom line is Donald Trump is too chicken.
And you see tweet after tweet of all these Trump people saying that if you're too afraid to debate, then you shouldn't be president.
But now when it comes to Trump, The rules don't apply to him.
So let's just be real and just admit that Donald Trump is just too cowardly to stand on that stage with Ron DeSantis.
A food shortage is coming, even in the U.S., economic experts wrote at the end of the summer crop season.

I mean, I have to say, we lambasted.
Biden for not really campaigning and for not going to debates and not having rallies and everything.
I mean, it's like, OK, so you don't even feel like you need to run for president.
You feel like you don't even need to try.
You're just assuming people's vote.
So that as somebody who was, you know, a big Trump loyalist, that's rubbing me the wrong way.
You know, to just assume our votes.
I voted for him before, but I want to have my vote earned at this point.
And you're right, I think that he has so many questions from the last couple years that his base truly does need answers to.
And I think that's important for us to support him moving forward.
He's going to be the president.
We have questions, too.
A lot of questions that really need answering.
And he's kind of slithered out of a lot of these questions in the last few years.
And this is another...
It's another way of slithering out, I believe.
Not to mention the entertainment factor of seeing Trump at the debates and having all the presidential candidates at the debates together going toe to toe.
That's part of the election process.
It's just awfully good that someone with the temperament of Donald Trump is not in charge of the law in our country.
Because you'd be in jail.
Secretary Clinton.
That's part of the excitement.
It's part of the entertainment.
So I got to say in this respect, I don't agree with Trump's decision in this way.
Any other thoughts on that?
Well, I'm with you on that.
I mean, like Donald Trump won me over with the debates.
I mean, when he was making all those lines and he was cracking everybody up and saying all these funny things, you know.
That's really the Donald Trump that I fell in love with and I think most of the country did.
And it's really surprising, but not as much surprising, that he's not, that he's skipping the debates.
I mean, there's rumors of some health issues with him as well.
He's getting up there.
He's really, really out of shape.
But, you know, I mean, that's when he really won people over.
And it's just really interesting to watch him now say, oh, no, no, I'm not going to stand up there on that debate stage.
I think he owes the people more and his supporters more.
Okay.
If I may jump in.
Sadly, it's not 2015 anymore.
We have a new election process playing out in the United States of America.
In the swing states of Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Michigan, and Nevada, mail-in voting is key.
Now, if Donald Trump goes up on that stage and he gets attacked by 1% Chris Christie and 1% Ada Hutchinson, the mainstream media will literally use those attacks As justification for, let's say for the Sega argument, Joe Biden receives a huge mail-in vote dump in 2024 on election night.
They will literally use that as justification saying, oh, you see, Trump got hit by his own party, his own party turned against him, and those 40, like I said earlier, those 40,000 votes or whatever it will be between four swing states that decide the election, they can literally point to this debate as to why.
But the point of the debate, everyone's going to get attacked.
I mean, you attack each other at the debates.
Everyone gets attacked.
Trump gets constant negative news anyways.
What's one more piece of negative news or insults on a stage when it's actually, to me, it's the right time to get that because it's the facing of the public.
That's my opinion on the stand.
Moving forward, because we don't have too much time.
Okay, let's talk about the million-dollar question.
Can I reply to that?
Can I reply to that really quick?
You know, you talked about the mail-in ballot scheme, but really, why do we have a mail-in ballot scheme in the first place?
It's because Donald Trump decided to listen to Fauci and shut the country down.
And I want to be very clear about this, because we cannot go through this again, okay?
This destroyed our businesses.
This destroyed our economy and the CARES Act created the inflation.
But what else the CARES Act did was it allowed these states to create these mass mail-in voting schemes where the election system was turned upside down.
So let's look at this.
This is something that Donald Trump absolutely has to answer for.
Chris, Donald Trump did not create mail-in voting.
He allowed it to happen, though.
By state legislators.
The state legislators created mail-in voting.
And I'll say this.
It's a shame and the Supreme Court is full of cowards for not taking that Pennsylvania case before the election in 2020 when the state of Pennsylvania passed laws without the state legislative approval, which we redid their whole voting system.
Well, there was provisions for mail-in ballots within the CARES Act, and also who appointed that Supreme Court?
You know, when you're talking about the same Supreme Court that won take up the 2020 election, those are Trump appointees.
All right, next question, the million dollar question.
How did Trump do and how is he continuing to do on the COVID vaccine?
How do you feel about how he's handled this COVID vaccine versus how Governor Ron DeSantis has handled the COVID vaccine from start to finish?
We're going to go with Chris Nelson first on this one.
Well, this almost seems a little bit unfair, and I give Charles a lot of props for coming to this debate today, really.
But the vaccine, I just cannot wrap my mind around people who have been calling out the vaccine and the damage it's been doing.
The people that it's been killing, the side effects, and just the horror that this unleashed on our country.
My grandma died months after taking this thing.
She was in a Pennsylvania nursing home that pushed her into it.
And there's a lot to answer for with this.
This entire COVID task force needs to be brought...
To account for what they did.
And everybody who was behind any of this, from the vaccine manufacturers, the people that lied to the public about this, to the people that shut us out of our jobs and did prolonged lockdowns, this all needs to be investigated.
And Ron DeSantis is the only one who has done this, who is promising accountability for people like Fauci.
And I believe him, by the way, because he doesn't just say he's going to do something and not do it.
He's the only one doing that.
In fact, he convened a grand jury here in Florida to look into the vaccine manufacturers and how they deceive the public.
It's a criminal grand jury.
They might come back recommending an indictment against Fauci himself, which that would be pretty nice.
But we need to have accountability for what they did during COVID because we're looking at them.
The mask mandates are coming back, but it's not going to happen in Florida because we have laws against that now.
But we need accountability.
Trump's still out there telling people to take the vaccine and saying it saved billions of lives.
All right, your rebuttal, Charles.
How has Trump handled the vaccine and how has Ron DeSantis handled the vaccine?
Let me say this.
I think Ron DeSantis was one of the biggest vaccine pushers as a United States governor.
I remember, did Ron DeSantis not vaccinate a 101-year-old World War I? I mean, I'm sorry, World War II veteran who then died like a month later?
Ron DeSantis also put armed checkpoints on the Florida-Alabama Border.
During COVID. That wasn't Donald Trump.
That was Ron DeSantis.
Ron DeSantis also allowed people in Florida to enforce mask mandates.
I remember going to Orlando in 2021.
February 2021.
Being all hyped up.
Like, yeah, I'm going to Florida.
No mask.
As soon as I walk into the first bar, I have to put a mask on.
And I say, what a ripoff.
And it gets even funnier.
I then go see Governor DeSantis give a speech, literally, that night, and he welcomes us all, like, welcome to the free state of Florida.
And honestly, that was the first, one of the first turning points for me in getting turned off by that guy.
Because he's up there saying, oh, welcome to the free state of Florida.
No COVID rules here.
When literally all around me in Orlando, there's COVID rules everywhere.
So I really don't understand why people on Team DeSantis I think Ron DeSantis' COVID response was awesome because it wasn't.
It was terrible.
You can make an argument he copied the Missouri governor.
If you remember, the Missouri governor completely reopened his state in 2020.
There were videos of Memorial Day and Labor Day.
That year in 2020, massive parties happening in the lake of the Ozarks, and the liberal media was going crazy.
But yet, nobody praises the Missouri governor for leading the way for COVID, when in actuality he was, and you can make the argument, Ron DeSantis followed.
Like I said, Ron DeSantis also was a big vaxxer.
He loved the vaccine.
If I remember correctly, he met with Fauci all the time to talk about the vaccine.
He even met with Biden and Fauci to talk about the vaccine.
So, We're talking about Trump's response to COVID, but Rhonda Sanchez's response to COVID is actually horrific.
And the only reason why people don't get that is because Rhonda Sanchez has an A-plus press team and A-plus influencers around him who bend the narrative.
All right.
And remember, we're going to go and our next question is going to be about the COVID, the handling of COVID specifically.
This question is specifically about the handling of the vaccine from start to finish.
Can I reply to that?
Change their tune.
Yes, yes.
And remember, from the beginning to the end, the handling of the vaccine itself.
I mean, you know, if Charles wants to try to use this line of attack, and I get it that Team Trump has to go after DeSantis on his COVID record because his COVID record is the best in the country, and he's the one.
He actually gained his popularity as far as standing up to this kind of stuff.
And I don't know about...
DeSantis meeting with Fauci, but Trump had him up at the podium every single day.
I mean, for how long?
Just basically running the country and whatever the guy said was like the rule of law.
I mean, he let him stand behind that podium and gave him so much free press, turned him into a celebrity.
He gave him an award too, an award for Operation Warp Speed on his last day of office.
Even after, you know, Fauci trashed Trump in the media.
See, that would have been it.
DeSantis wouldn't have tolerated that for a second.
If one of the people working under him trashed him in the media, it would be done.
But I'll tell you, I live in Broward County, and it's a little bit different here in Florida than states like Missouri.
People bring up South Dakota or North Dakota.
Very different here.
The population of Broward County is 3 million people, just in this county alone.
And what we were dealing with was these tyrannical mayors.
Matt Gaetz actually brought this up today, but didn't give DeSantis any credit.
But we were dealing with these mayors down here.
One of them is Carlos Gamedes.
He was the county mayor of Miami, and he's now a Trump surrogate, that were shutting the beaches down, locking people down, Instituting mask mandates, doing all these things.
And I said, oh, hell no.
And this is where I came around to like Ron DeSantis.
Let me tell you, I chased Ron DeSantis every time he was down here.
I chased his motorcade.
I had a demonstration in front of his mansion, which really isn't a mansion.
It's kind of like a nice house.
Bullhorned his mansion.
We did mask burnings.
We had the Million Maskless March here in Fort Lauderdale.
And we were saying, Governor DeSantis, we know the rest of the state...
Pretty much went on like nothing.
I mean, he had a brief stay-at-home order, which doesn't really mean a whole lot, but it was these counties that were doing this.
And he listened to us, okay?
And at the end of September, September 29th, he signed an executive order nullifying all these orders and effectively, or nullifying all the COVID fines that were being given out by local mayors and reopening the state.
Not only that, He pardoned everybody who was targeted by these people.
He actually pardoned two friends of mine and apologized to them on live TV. And then he went on and made it his mission in 2021 to pass laws on top of the executive orders that this can never happen again.
So why are all these people flocking to Florida if Governor DeSantis' COVID response was so bad?
Including Donald Trump, who praised him on it over and over again.
Donald Trump praised DeSantis on his COVID response over and over again until he became a political threat to him.
But Ron DeSantis, we know in Florida, if they try this crap again with these masks and this other crap and shutdowns and all, it is not happening here in Florida because Ron DeSantis signed laws to make sure this is never happening again.
Yeah, well, you kind of beat me to the chase.
I was going to ask, because they are coming out with a new variant, and apparently they are.
They're having threats of a lockdown again, threats of all the different COVID restrictions and mask mandates again.
Who do you have more faith in, if they were president, to handle the next wave of COVID? And make sure those things don't happen again.
Do you have more faith in President Trump, or do you have more faith in Ron DeSantis, and why?
Sounds like Chris kind of answered that question.
What about you, Charles?
Oh, Donald Trump, obviously, and it's not even close.
Chris said that Donald Trump allowed Fauci to run the country.
No, he didn't.
Like I said, the Missouri example, literally, less than two months after COVID started, there were parties in Missouri.
There were parties in South Dakota.
I believe Mount Rushmore happened in South Dakota, a huge party on the 4th of July.
There were states just doing their own thing.
It was the Democrat governors that locked down our country.
It was the Democrat governors that created the rigged mail-in ballots.
And it was the Democrat governors who, in my opinion, did all that to make Ron DeSantis look like some tough guy to GOP voters to make GOP voters turn away from Trump because DeSantis is part of the unit party and that's their whole plan.
You know, if they really wanted to go full tyrannical with COVID, they could have taken it a little bit further, but they didn't.
And in my opinion, they didn't do that because, like I said, they wanted to make Ron DeSantis look like a conservative tough guy, like, oh, I'm Toby Keefe, stick my boot in your ass, I'm a great American.
But it was all an act, in my opinion.
It was all an act.
DeSantis really did nothing different compared to any of the other Republican governors when it came to COVID. Rebuttal, Chris?
Wow.
Well, I don't try to draw conspiracies with a thing, but to say that Ron DeSantis was just like other governors is just crazy.
I know that DeSantis is being nice to Governor Sununu in New Hampshire now, but that response was very different.
Asa Hutchinson?
I mean, who was the other one?
Mike DeWine?
These were Republicans Who were doing statewide mask mandates and shutting things down.
I'm not sure because a lot of people don't live in Florida.
They don't understand how much power the counties have and to almost act like their own state governments.
And they were.
And these guys were older.
They're older guys who have been around politics a while.
And I think they thought this young whippersnapper, Ron DeSantis, they were going to show him what's up.
Let me tell you what Ron DeSantis did when the Broward School Board gave him the middle finger when he issued his executive order to say, no, you're not going to be masking the kids, not here in the state of Florida.
The Broward School Board said, the hell with you, Governor DeSantis.
We're going to mask the kids anyway.
And they put that in.
So what DeSantis did was he pulled their salaries.
He said, OK, you want to do that?
Then we can play that way.
And for about a week and a week and a half, they acted like they were Martin Luther King or Rosa Parks.
Like, we're going to make sure every one of these little snotty kids has a mask on their face, no matter what the governor says.
And, you know, these are the people that lecture us about the rule of law and all this stuff.
And that lasted about a week and a half.
And then they caved.
And then not only that, Ron DeSantis then removed five Broward School Board members For mismanagement of their funds, based on a grand jury report.
And so he's removed two supervisors of elections down here.
He removed the mini-Fauci we had, Scott Rivkies, and replaced him with an America's frontline doctor, Dr.
Joe Latipo.
You know, this is the kind of thing that you can expect if Ron DeSantis is president.
Trump, on the other hand, he hasn't shown at all that he's learned his lesson.
I was dying to hear him say that he had learned his lesson.
Anybody but him should know this.
But all we get is he's still pushing the vaccine.
And what's his excuse that his liberal Democrat Friends?
Like, what the hell are telling him that he should be going around proud of the vaccine?
Nah, nah.
If we have Trump in office again, which there's not a chance he will win, if he becomes the nominee, our party will be in shambles.
We will lose up and down the ticket.
But if he was ever president again, he hasn't shown a second that he would do anything differently.
All right.
Okay, guys, we've got to move on.
Unfortunately, I know this is a spicy topic, but we've got to move on to LGBTQ topic, okay?
Who, in your opinion, has handled the LGBTQ and grooming stuff better?
Trump or Ron DeSantis, and why?
We'll start with Charles first.
Who do you think has handled LGBTQ and grooming and pedo stuff?
Trump, and it's not even close, and if I may use this to answer the question.
Why was Ron DeSantis attending a fundraiser in Washington, D.C. with a child mutilation lobbyist?
You can say that's not true, but I reported on it.
I saw it with my own eyes.
I had a front row seat.
In fact, the child mutilation lobbyist who threw the fundraiser, Mark Lampkin, I asked him on the street, why do you support Ron DeSantis?
He says, I love Ron DeSantis.
Now, here's what's really interesting.
Donald Trump has pledged to ban child mutilation on minors via a federal executive order.
Ron DeSantis has never made that pledge.
Ron DeSantis walks around.
He talks his big game.
Oh, I'm gonna fight the groomers over at Disney and he loses big time.
Disney literally had a groomer night in their park in June during Pride Month.
Look it up.
Literally all these like gay people and stuff were dancing with their shirts off in Disney World around children, around children.
Rhonda Sanchez is all talk, no act.
Again, Chris, why hasn't Rhonda Sanchez pledged to federally ban child mutilation?
All right, let's go to Chris.
How has Rhonda Sanchez handled child grooming and pedophilia, LGBTQ stuff versus Trump?
Well, yeah, I've seen Charles' reporting and his belief that Brian Griffin, DeSantis' press secretary, is actually Max Olago on Twitter, which is completely ridiculous.
But if you want to look at Mark Lampert and his political contributions, you can see that he donated to Donald Trump.
So just, you know, saying that DeSantis was sitting in a room with some guy who lobbies for somebody that That does something.
That's a far stretch.
But let's just look at the actual record here and what Ron DeSantis has done in Florida.
Because, first of all, Disney admitted defeat to Ron DeSantis.
They admitted, hey, look, man, you won.
He replaced an entire board with a brand new board and stripped them of their self-governing status.
And so Ron DeSantis has had a major victory over Disney, but let's look at what he's done to stop the grooming in Florida.
Penalties on businesses that admit kids to adult live performances.
The legislation would authorize Florida to find, suspend, or revoke the license of any public establishment that admits a child to an adult live performance.
Any of these drag shows, things like that, you can't have kids there anymore.
And believe me, the drag queens are losing their minds over it.
That is held up in court right now, but we're fighting back.
And these things always get stalled by an Obama judge.
And then DeSantis fights back and wins.
The death penalty for child rapists.
We now have the death penalty for child rapists here in Florida.
And also the ban on sex reassignment surgeries for minors.
That really this just infuriated the left.
With what they're trying to do with, they call it gender affirming care.
And this is now against the law in Florida.
So you can expect that Ron DeSantis will work with the federal legislator to do exactly what he's done in Florida.
Nobody has been more of a fighter against grooming than Ron DeSantis.

There's also the Parents and Education Act, right, for schools.
The Parental Rights and Education Bill.
Gee whiz, there's so many, I can't even remember them all.
Yeah, the Don't Say Gay Act, as they call it.
I mean, so it's banning the curriculum, the gay LGBTQ gender curriculum in schools, which I think is also another big win for Ron DeSantis.
So, yeah, I mean, look, we have to look at the track records, right?
The track record of President Trump as president when he was president versus a track record of Ron DeSantis so far as governor.
And that's something that everybody can make up their own mind about, but look at the facts.
All right, next question.
Trying to run through this quickly, but next question.
Trump being accused of being deep state versus DeSantis' accusations of being deep state.
Obviously, both of them have had accusations.
They're deep state, they're deep state.
All right, who do you think is more, has, you know, the accusations are actually more true or credible, Ron DeSantis or President Trump?
And do you have any facts to back that up?
Let's start with Chris Nelson first.
Well, if Ron DeSantis is deep state, then he's absolutely the worst deep state actor that I have ever seen in my life because he has removed George Soros' prosecutors.
He has fought back against removing supervisors of elections with the election system.
You know, here in Florida.
You know, you want to talk about deep state plans to mess with the election system.
Ron DeSantis implemented the Election Crimes Task Force down here in Florida and severely limited mail-in ballots, which led to a historic 20-point route Of the Democrat Party winning up and down the ticket in 2022.
He actually came down here to Broward and flanked by sheriff's deputies and announced the arrest of 20 people for illegally voting.
So, as far as draining the swamp and getting rid of these deep state actors, I just look at removing Andrew Warren, who was the guy that ordered Rodney Howard Brown's arrest for holding a church service.
Removing that guy and then this other woman that he just recently removed, you know, and being called a racist for it and all these things.
I mean, if Ron DeSantis is deep state, okay, he is doing exactly the opposite of what a deep state actor would do.
So I would love to hear if Charles has a shred of evidence.
I'm sure he has plenty of speculation, but let's hear what he has to say.
Okay, Charles, who do you think is the more deep state one and why?
I mean, for starters, Ron DeSantis has been a member of the deep state since he attended Yale and joined the St.
Elmo Secret Society.
Now, that is a weird society.
I'm going off what?
The elites tell the New York Times, which we all know the elites love bragging to Atlas like the New York Times about the weird stuff they like to do.
Literally, these people in Ron DeSantis' secret society worship changing the weather.
It's freaky, it's weird, it's all out there.
Rhonda Sanchez then used those connections, the St.
Elmo's skull and bones connections.
Remember, the Bush family has literally used that society to influence the world since World War II with George W. Bush's great grandpa.
He then used that to build this team of globalist, warmongering rhinos on his presidential campaign.
Look at it.
When Ron DeSantis was re-inaugurated, who was standing right behind him?
No one other than Jeb Bush.
When Ron DeSantis was teasing running for president in February, who gave Fox News like a two-hour long interview with Brian Kilmeade?
Oh, Jeb Bush talking about how Ron DeSantis reminds him so much of his dad.
Oh, they both played baseball at Yale.
Oh, they were both in these secret societies together.
Oh, he's so great.
Then look what happened.
Paul Ryan then took Fox News, rigged it against Trump, made it a pro DeSantis network.
Then Ron DeSantis brings in people and takes money from people like Ken Griffin, people who are associated with Sequoia Capital.
If you all don't know what Sequoia Capital is, Sequoia Capital is literally the largest American investment firm in the Chinese Communist Party right now.
Now, the Chinese Communist Party does not open your economy to you unless you do what they say.
And that's what Sequoia does.
And Sequoia is literally dumping millions of dollars into Never Back Down and into the DeSantis campaign.
DeSantis has taken policy positions with his elite donors in Silicon Valley.
I know Ron DeSantis said, oh, I like tariffs.
But he literally told his donors, In Silicon Valley, like two months ago, that he will not support tariffs.
And that is ears to, I mean, I'm sorry, that is music to the globalist ears.
The globalists literally want to shut down our farms so America doesn't have food anymore, so America is no longer an independent country.
Ronald Sanchez's free trade policies is literally going to do that.
He is literally doing the bidding of the globalists.
Alright, time's up for you, Charles.
Okay, any rebuttals?
Is he reading off of a card or something?
Nah, nah, nah.
It's just a fact.
Well, I'm sure, is this the Tickle Me Elmo Society that you're talking about?
And I'm also curious, did Ron DeSantis order the Tomb of Gilgamesh to be raided so he could take that DNA out of the tomb to create a bioweapon?
I mean, I never said he did that stuff.
I'm just saying, he was great actors all in college.
They're his good friends.
You don't think they're still his good friends?
You think they just hate him out of the blue all of a sudden?
It doesn't work like that, Chris.
Okay, well, you know, you're making a lot of these speculations, and I know you do a lot of that in your reporting, but, you know, it's a lot of, like, rumors are, or so-and-so said, or somebody says— It's not speculation.
Jeb Bush was standing right behind him.
But I look at facts, okay?
And if you want to talk—okay, so I was at the inauguration, and, you know, Jeb Bush is there.
You know, he's a former governor.
Right behind him.
He's a former governor.
I mean, he has a standing invitation to these things.
I mean, I don't see Ron DeSantis having any kind of contact with Jeb Bush at all, but I'll tell you, Trump's campaign is staffed with former Jeb Bush people.
Trevor Naglieri, who is a field coordinator for Bush, is up there running Donald Trump's campaign up in New Hampshire.
And nobody has surrounded themselves with more deep state actors than Donald Trump.
I mean, John Bolton, Lindsey Graham, he had Lindsey Graham on stage with him like just not that long ago.
But with Trump, you see, it's always to expose the deep state.
It's never because he's one of them.
He only dragged Fauci, the little elf Fauci, out because he wanted to expose him.
But you see, we didn't send Trump to Washington, D.C. to expose the deep state.
We already know who the deep state is.
And but Donald Trump just he fell in with Paul Ryan.
I mean, we've got reels of him just praising Paul Ryan.
And, you know, I hear that Fox News is unfair to Donald Trump.
Look, I don't watch Fox News, but I did because my dad's a boomer, you know, and all the boomers, they love Fox News, you know, so he's watching it.
So I saw some of it.
It was just Trump ass kissing like all day long.
So, you know, I mean, I see this, and you've got, you know, Mitch McConnell was, you know, Trump's like, Mitch, yeah, Mitch!
I mean, there's nobody, I mean, General Milley, Dr.
Fauci, there's so many people that I'm probably not remembering.
But he surrounded himself with deep state actors.
And so, Charles, I'm just curious, how do you know that by having Jeb Bush behind him, that Ron DeSantis wasn't working to expose Jeb Bush?
I mean, look at what the Bush family stands for.
They are literally the definition of globalist.
Globalism, I'm sorry.
Well, we already know that.
Ron DeSantis, as the governor of Florida, he can decide who sits where at his inauguration.
He could have moved him.
He had the seating chart.
And if he didn't, then that's mismanagement on his staff and they're incompetent and they shouldn't be anywhere near the White House.
But I find that one hard to believe.
Like I said, Ron DeSantis It's literally buddies with the Bushes.
They take the same policy.
Look at this Sanchez's congressional voting record.
It is as globalist No, it's not.
No, it's not.
He's got a straight up conservative record.
He founded the Freedom Caucus.
Look at it.
It's terrible.
It's horrific.
And also, if Donald Trump wasn't...
Anybody can look that up, by the way.
Last I heard Ken Griffin had put the brakes on it, on giving money to Ron DeSantis.
But let me ask you.
So what do you think about the fact that Donald Trump Before the election, over and over again, that he was going to lock up Hillary Clinton, hold her accountable for what she did, for the lies she did, for colluding with Russia, everything that she did beforehand.
He promised that he would hold her accountable and he would appoint a special prosecutor to go after her.
Then he gets into office, and two weeks later, he says, oh, no, no, we're not going to do that.
He praises them.
Hillary's a great person.
That's some good stuff to say when you're on the campaign trail, but it's not some actual good stuff to do.
And then he let her off the hook.
It doesn't get more deep state than the Clintons, okay?
So what do you feel about that, that he promised to do that, but then when he became president, he didn't do it?
I mean, for me personally, I never liked the idea of prosecuting beautiful Hillary.
Prosecuting presidential candidates is not what our country should be, I guess, falling to.
That's bad for our system.
And Trump was very smart to make the Democrats make their first legal move against him.
If Trump would have prosecuted Hillary, then Biden prosecuting Trump would not look the same to the average American as what's happening right now.
Personally, I think Trump decided not to prosecute Hillary was one of the smartest decisions he made during his presidency.
And it's not because I don't believe Hillary didn't break the law, don't get me wrong.
It's just a perception of what would have happened.
What Biden's doing now, like I said, would not be waking people up if Trump would have prosecuted Hillary during his presidency.
That's my personal belief.
I don't know what his take is on it, obviously, but...
Unfortunately, ding, ding.
I feel deceived by him.
But if you think that's okay, then beautiful Hillary should walk away free, then okay.
All right.
Ding, ding, ding.
Unfortunately, we got to wrap up here.
This has been quite the spicy debate.
We didn't even get to ask all the questions I wanted to ask.
But overall, real quick, In 30 seconds or less, tell me, what do you think Trump's track record as president versus DeSantis track record as governor?
Whose is better?
Real quick, we'll go to Chris first.
Well, thank you so much for having me on, Deanna.
But when it comes to Ron DeSantis, you cannot have a better track record than him.
I mean, starting with the COVID stuff, we got permanent protections against vaccine mandates and forced masking.
That's not happening here.
Calling DeSantis a globalist is insane.
He banned central bank digital currency here in Florida.
And you can see all this on my website, reopenchris.com.
He signed a law against a WHO pandemic treaty.
So the WHO nor the CDC are going to be dictating what we're going to be doing here in Florida.
They don't get to make the laws here in Florida.
He banned gain of function research here in Florida.
He imposes term limits.
DeSantis never met a term limit he didn't like.
And we need term limits on Congress.
If we don't get term limits on Congress, we're finished.
So he put term limits on school board members.
Signed the Protection of Medical Conscience Act.
We have a Protection of Medical Conscience Act so doctors can prescribe things like hydroxychloroquine, ivermectin, without being punished for it.
And DeSantis wants to make Florida a safe haven for doctors who want to practice the way they want to come here.
So that's why a lot of doctors are coming here to Florida.
We got the Digital Bill of Rights.
We got Outlawing social credit scores here.
There's no social credit scores.
Central Bank Digital Currency banned.
The parental rights and education law.
Eliminating DEI. Getting rid of DEI here in Florida.
Ron DeSantis does it.
As far as removing people from office, he has an excellent record of removing Soros prosecutors like Alvin Bragg, like these guys that are doing this, actually draining the swamp down here in Florida.
DeSantis doesn't give a show.
He's not a celebrity.
He's not trying to be popular and to be cool and all these things.
He doesn't surround himself with these little sycophants and everything.
But Donald...
Donald Trump's got some problems, and we have to address these, okay?
He's being indicted right now for like the 17,000th time.
Do you know that if he becomes our nominee, states could decide to not put him on the ballot because of this?
Michigan, Pennsylvania, these states that are controlled by Democrats, they could remove him from the ballot.
It will be an unmitigated, absolute disaster and catastrophe for the Republican Party up and down the ticket if we nominate Donald Trump.
We'll lose the House, we'll lose the Senate even more, and we'll have four more years of Biden or Newsom or whoever they put up.
So this is a layup.
This is a layup for the Republican Party.
People hate Biden.
Let's put the guy in there with a track record of winning, who knows how to win elections, and knows how to win the kind of winning where you're inaugurated.
All right, great.
And quickly, who has a better track record of winning?
Charles.
I mean, I think this election comes down to globalism versus America first.
Ron DeSantis, his congressional voting record, like I've stated, literally screams globalist policies.
As governor, he really hurt your Florida farmers, Chris.
Not cool what he did to those Florida farmers.
And he will do that nationally to our farmers.
He will destroy our food supply if he becomes president, just like how the globalists destroyed our factories in the 1970s.
That's part of the plan.
If Verona Santos wasn't in on it, then why is he harming Florida farmers?
Why did he vote against Iowa farmers?
Can you answer that, Chris?
I'm not sure what you're talking about, but I know he took on Big Sugar and actually signed a bill that actually stuck it to Big Sugar.
Why did he take the Florida farmers' money away?
I don't know what you're talking about, Charles.
I think you're just making things up.
No, I didn't.
He literally just vetoed a farming bill in Florida.
Donald Trump talked about it at one of his rallies.
He also talked about it in his previous trip to Iowa, where he literally Hurt Florida farmers.
He has consistently hurt American farmers.
If you look at the World Economic Forum's goals, their goals are literally to destroy family farms.
He is literally implementing policy exactly what the World Economic Forum wants.
How am I wrong?
You're going to have to tell me exactly what you're talking about because I think the farmers down here in Florida would say something different because Ron DeSantis took on Big Sugar when they wanted to be able to do their thing with Lake Okeechobee and siphon off water.
Ron DeSantis said, Absolutely not.
He protected the water, protected fishermen, and this is just one of those things that I think Charles and his idol Donald Trump are just making up.
No, it's true, Chris.
It's true.
I think you're a good guy, so I don't know why you're supporting this man who is literally going to destroy our food supply.
I'm telling you, it's going to happen.
Luckily, he's losing by a lot, so looks like we're not gonna have to worry about it.
But, like I said, he is literally following the World Economic Forum's guidelines on family farms.
Yeah, by banning a central bank digital currency and by banning the WHO treaty in Florida, I don't think so.
But we know that Donald Trump likes to go hang out with Klaus Schwab a lot.
And he loses.
We have an easy layup here, guys.
We can put up Ron DeSantis, a man who knows how to win.
Just look at his track record of winning elections in Florida for the entire party up and down the ticket.
We can do a layup.
Biden is so unpopular, and they could put him up again.
He could be the candidate again for them.
We could have an easy layup with Ron DeSantis, a man with the best track record of any conservative politician I've seen.
But we have people on Trump's side just...
Tearing him down when just months ago they were saying how much they loved him.
But just because they're going with the cult of personality, they're going with the cult of Trump.
We don't need another 80-year-old guy who his health is out of shape.
He's not in good health.
He's looking a lot.
He's stuffing his face with KFC and McDonald's.
We got a guy who's young, vibrant, has a young family, knows how to win.
Let's put that guy up.
Let's beat Biden.
All right.
I may respond real fast, like 10 seconds.
Okay.
On Ukraine, Donald Trump, North Korea, right?
He talked all that smack to Kim Jong-un.
And look, it worked.
We got peace.
He's doing the same thing in Ukraine.
I know what you're talking about with the OO arm or more.
That is the same thing.
Donald Trump has a track record of making peace.
Ron DeSantis has no track record of making international peace.
And like I said, World War III and food.
That is the most important thing.
That is the meat and potatoes of this election cycle.
And America cannot get dragged into World War III. And America cannot lose its food supply.
So what are you saying?
Are you saying Trump's going to go over there and buddy-buddy with Zelensky like Chris Christie just did?
No, I'm saying Trump's going to go over there.
He's going to sit Zelensky down.
He's going to sit Putin down.
There will probably be some big, huge, epic summit, you know, Like, literally what happened with North Korea, and they're gonna negotiate something out.
What if they don't want to do that?
What if they don't want to do that?
They're just supposed to do that because Trump says so?
He said that he's going to give Ukraine more money and weapons than they've gotten before if they refuse to do that.
That's unacceptable.
No, we need somebody tough that they know that they can't mess around with.
That ain't Donald Trump.
That's Ron DeSantis.
Trump's record with North Korea proves that he's tough and proves that he can get peace deals done.
All right, guys.
Thanks so much.
And again, where can they find you really fast?
Go ahead.
You can go first, Chris.
It's all good.
Well, thanks for having us on, Deanna.
And I just want to thank Charles for a very, for civil discourse, no name calling or things like that.
I think we need to have a lot more of these.
