	We need more of, in this country, honesty, integrity, and actual purpose for our country in a way that puts America first, not our political interests first.
	And I'll close with saying this before I take questions.
	It would be a lot easier for me, as a Republican candidate in this race, if Donald Trump were not in it.
	But I don't want to win this election, unlike others, by eliminating our competition, by a federal administrative police state arresting my own.
	I want to do it the way that our founding fathers believed we should have, starting in 1776.
	That it is the people of this country, where every person's voice and vote counts equally.
	That is how we decide who governs this country.
	not by a federal and district of police state.
	And I challenge the final restraint with the FOIA request.
	I challenge my fellow contenders in this race with this commitment letter to say that we will pardon Trump on January 20th, 2025, and nobody, either Biden or the other contenders in this race, are going to be able to hide from that truth.

	So the question is, I'm a Yale Law graduate, as you say, what's my vision of the law here?
	Let me give it to you.
	In 2012, I will explain to you, 2012, the most meaningful case that is interpreting the Presidential Records Act was a Judge Jackson in the Clinton soccer court case.
	These are her words, not mine.
	Who has sole authority to determine what counts in the act?
	It is the President of the United States for federal courts.
	That's the most relevant legal precedent.
	The fact that this indictment did not even mention it suggests how politicized this document really is.
	And I want to be clear about one more thing.
	I want to be clear about one more thing to answer your question.
	I would have made different judgments as president than Donald Trump made with those documents.
	But a bad judgment is not illegal behavior.
	There's a difference between the two.
	And when the federal government treats every bad behavior as an illegal act, that's a danger to every citizen.
	That's why I'm in this race.
	I don't know if it's a lot.
	I don't know if it's a lot.
	I will believe the evidence when I see it here in the actual court of law.
	I currently do not believe anything that is in this indictment, because it has selectively omitted the most relevant laws to the actual case they're bringing.
	So when you have a department of justice that is actually abandoning its own rules on air, that means I don't want to admit it's an end.
	So I'm going to wait for the facts to come out.
	You're just going to fall before I tell you what my actual judgments are on the behaviors.
	Right now, we've been given no reason.

	One last question.

	The indictment brought by a prosecutor after a grand jury presents the most prosecution-favorable verbal effects.
	That is, the most prosecution-favorable verbal effects ever again.
	And even reading that, the omission of relevant acts in law, the relevance of executive orders not binding the U.S. president, the relevance of the 2012 Jackson Pollock, The hell who's actually accountable for the president for deciding what record to do in double count?
	The selective sheriffing of Trump's quotes from a campaign in 2016 that have no place in indictment, while failing to mention that Trump himself said that he would not prosecute Hillary Clinton after he was elected in 2016.
	That suggests to me that if this is the most favorable version the prosecution is able to put up, If they selectively actually leave out the most relevant facts on the indictment, that document is politicized.
	I don't believe a word of what's in there until we actually see it worn out in the federal court of law.
	And to be clear, this comes as somebody who is competing against Donald Trump to put them out in the government, because I would make different judgments than he did.
	But a bad judgment is not breaking the law.
	And that's not just a threat to Trump.
	It is a threat to every American.
	We live in a 1776 moment in this country.
	Even this is not about 2023, Republicans versus the Democrats.
	That's why I send this letter to two Democratic candidates, Marianne Williamson and Robert Kennedy Jr.
	I expect them to respond the same as I expect the Republican candidates to respond, because this isn't about Republicans.
	This isn't about Democrats.
	This is about who in a constitutional republic actually determines who the leaders of the country are.
	In our country, it is one of the people to make that decision, not a federal police state.
	That is why we stand on the side of the truth.
	We will not count to get answers, and we will be standing up for a change at the highest campaign.

	And do you think that Governor DeSantis has an obligation to put his duties as Governor first before entertaining a presidential tour to call out the weaponization against conservatives? - I've made it easy for him.
	Like every other declared candidate in this race, he got a copy of this letter that I signed.
	It's a really simple commitment.
	Will you, if elected, any of us could be elected, if you are elected, will you actually pardon Donald Trump on January 20th, 2025?
	It's a yes or no answer.
	If the answer is no, that's fine.
	Tell the people why.
	But you can't make a consultant-vetted statement, an effectively donor-vetted statement that carefully plays snakes and ladders without making a commitment about what a duly elected president of the United States is able to do.
	I just find it remarkable.

	And, you know, I support President Trump, but you gotta hand it to the vet for having the courage to come out here and, you know, to raise awareness about this issue.

	But, you know, ever since January 6th, so many people are scared to come out and make their voices heard peacefully because they see how the government entraps people and how you can be deemed a terrorist and jailed for simply exercising your peaceful First Amendment rights.
	You know, tomorrow is President Donald Trump's 77th birthday as well.
	It's got to be an awful thing to be going through right now.
	Non-stop harassment by the DOJ. And I am really, I would say, leading the anti-Ron DeSantis pro-Trump 2024 movement here in the state of Florida.
	And we need to raise awareness too about the fact that The governor of the so-called Free State of Florida, who wants to be president, didn't even come out here to his own state today to take a stand against weaponized governments.
	So, it's really disgusting.
	I applaud Vivek Ramaswamy for coming out here today, even though he's running against President Trump and, you know, taking a stand.
	And those are the kind of leaders we want.
	Does the VEC have a chance against Donald Trump?

	And then now he's trying to, you know, run against President Donald Trump and dethrone the America First MAGA movement.
	This is a guy, he's like a Manchurian candidate in a sense, like a Trojan horse who the media has groomed.
	They like to say, oh, he's like a mini-Trump, and oh, he'd be perfect, right?
	He even had people floating the idea of a Trump-DeSantis ticket, even though it would be unconstitutional.
	And the fact of the matter is, is now he's coming out and attacking President Trump and flip-flopping on all of his policies.
	For example, yesterday, he said that Donald Trump didn't do a good job picking Supreme Court justices.
	But there's videos of Ron DeSantis praising Donald Trump for his Supreme Court justice picks.
	Okay.
	He says that he's for free speech, but he signed a protest law that would criminalize protests in a residential area.
	Well, if you're in South Florida, everything is a residential area.
	He changed the Florida Resigned to Run law simply to benefit himself so that he could receive a taxpayer-funded salary as governor and run for president.
	It is so corrupt.
	He was campaigning illegally on taxpayer dime for at least seven months on this handbook tour that was funded by Rupert Murdoch.
	And now you see the media It's the most unethical thing I've ever seen in my life, and Vivek Ramaswamy had it right.
	He's not afraid to come out here and call people out, even though, if anything, people are here to support President Trump.
	But he did it because he said he believes in principles over politics and he's not going to be beholden to the donor class.
	And that's what Ron DeSantis is doing.
	He owes his entire political career to President Trump.
	But because these donors, people like Ken Griffin and others who, you know, are multi-billionaires who are funding the DeSantis 2024 campaign special interests, they're now saying, okay, we're going to fund your campaign and you're going to be anti-Trump.
	And he's flip-flopping on all of his policies.
	So, look, He needs to be doing his job as governor.
	He's an absentee governor.
	This is what you call dereliction of duty.
	If we had a strong governor and Florida was really the free state of Florida, the governor would have had an entourage and he would have had a press conference today and he would have made sure that every single Trump supporter here today was protected from police intimidation or weaponization of government by DHS, which is what they're already doing.

	Is there any of these charges that worry you about Trump that might turn you away from games?

	Our country is pretty much a failed state right now.

	And I feel like, honestly, What most people would agree on, I think, is that if the standard and the level of scrutiny that Trump is subjected to was across the board, if all politicians were subject to that same level of scrutiny, people would really appreciate that.
	I feel like the fact that whether it seems that way or it is that way, that Trump gets in trouble, whereas for the same crimes other politicians don't, it's unfair.
	But in a certain sense, if all politicians were subject to the same level of scrutiny, that would be pretty good.

	You plan to speak to some anti-Trump people here.
	What are you hearing from the pro-Trump people in respect to this charge?
	I know there's two camps, many more than two, possibly, but two camps.
	Some people, they think this is just a joke.

	There's another group that are very worried, very worried that President Trump or any candidate on the Republican side won't make it to the election, won't be allowed to run, per se, because this being the leading candidate is essentially being knocked out by his political opponent, Joe Biden.

	One is, to that second point, I don't think that's that accurate because, I mean, the whole, you know, all these cases against Trump have been building up for years, so I don't think that it would be possible for that type of a thing to be replicated in the other candidates.
