Now, the big issue, the big issue that I have is, number one, people are now able to see with their own eyes what actually happened.
They can see it.
And they can form their own opinion instead of the opinion being shoved down your throats by the government and the media.
We're all violent insurrectionists.
I'll tell you this.
The one thing that really bothers me is Judge Lamberth.
Judge Lamberth has sentenced numerous people to jail time for their role on January 6th.
I think our justice system has been bastardized.
I do not know how Judge Lamberth could honestly and morally sentence people to jail time when defendants have been denied the exculpatory evidence which would prove their innocence.
Did he just run off what the media said?
What the government said?
Whatever happened to innocent until proven guilty?
Whatever happened to Being able to defend yourself in court.
You know, folks, the scales of justice, you see her all the time.
She's blindfolded in the scales.
Justice is supposed to be blind.
That did not happen in this case.
This was a political witch hunt.
This is what happens in North Korea, China, Iran, Russia, all of these countries across the world.
And Judge Royce Lamberth, I feel something needs to be done.
I think he needs to be removed from the bench because I believe he violated his oath.
He bastardized the justice system.
And he was another key in a partisan witch hunt for people on the right.
That's the problem.
That's what we're running into.
You know, the one thing that sets us apart as a nation, actually two things, free and fair elections, which haven't happened, and our blind justice system.
Well, I guess our justice system is now blind to justice.
When you have judges who are just going to sentence people based on a media narrative, And deny defendants the evidence that they needed to defend themselves, to have a free and fair trial, we're hearing.
That's wrong.
That's wrong.
Judge Lambert needs to be removed from the bench.
Immediately, immediately, I think he is a stain on the justice system that we have in this nation.

Derek, I want to thank you for joining us today.
Obviously, you were a, I guess you would consider that, a January 6th prisoner.
You did, I believe it was 90 days, is that correct?
That is correct, yep.
Now, Derek, after seeing some of the footage that Tucker Carlson released, what are your thoughts on the entire January 6th narrative as a whole?
My narrative is exactly what it's been from the very beginning.
This is nothing more than a political witch hunt, the weaponization of the DOJ and the FBI. I'm just so happy that the American people saw a very, very small piece of the truth on January 6th.
And you guys have saw just a little bit, and that's why it's important to get these tapes released to everyone across the country, to the entire public, so the rest of the truth can be exposed.
So you had Republicans, Tom Tillis, Mitt Romney, what's the other guy's name?
McConnell.
Yes, Mitch McConnell, all siding with Chuck Schumer that none of this should be released.
What are your thoughts on that, brother?
I think now the chips are starting to fall, and we're starting to see who stands where, and whose interests are they trying to protect, because obviously it's not the American people.
What are your thoughts on Mitt Romney, Mitch McConnell, and Tom Tillis siding with Chuck Schumer on this?
I'm just glad that they finally made it public that they're part of the globalist uniparty.
No one has to wonder anymore.
You don't have to take anybody's word for it.
As you said, they're making themselves known.
They're exposing themselves.
And, you know, look, they're all a bunch of spineless cowards.
They cheered on Black Lives Matter.
They remained silent as Black Lives Matter and Antifa burnt down half the country.
And then all of a sudden, because some American patriots with freedom in their hearts shows up with flagpoles and cell phones about a stolen election, you know, They're acting like a bunch of cowards.
Look, the election was stolen.
I don't care what anybody says.
I'm going to continue to say that.
And, you know, the real insurrection took place on November 3rd, 2020, when they stole the election from the American people.
Absolutely, brother.
Now, what we saw happen with the people who participated in January 6th, to me, that is no different than what happens in North Korea, China, Russia, Iran, Do you feel you had due process in your case when you did not even have access to any of this video?
Yeah, that's the thing.
The American people, I want you guys to realize, not only are you seeing these videos for the first time, we are seeing them for the first time.
The vast majority of January 6th defendants, myself included, never saw any of this evidence.
They're required by the Brady rule of exculpatory evidence to provide any sort of evidence to the defendants.
And they knowingly, they didn't just withhold it, but they knowingly withheld this from the January 6th defendants.
It's absolutely despicable what's taken place.
And every single one of them should be released and sent home and exonerated.
Now, Derek, I got to ask, what exactly was it that you did that you spent 90 days in jail?
What exactly is it that you did it in D.C. on January 6th?
At the end of the day, I mean, I was an American patriot who was willing to stand up for and exercise my natural God-given rights of free speech, which are protected by the U.S. Constitution.
What I did, Teddy, is I walked through with an open set of doors on the east side of the building, the big Columbus doors that people have seen, evidence of them being open from the inside.
What we haven't seen is who unlocked those doors.
Those doors are bolted down to the ground, and at some point earlier in the day, someone had unlocked those.
We've never seen the video evidence, and there's cameras all over it, so we know what happened.
They were withholding that as well.
But anyways, I walked through an open set of doors.
I thanked a police officer for his service, and he gave me a friendly fist bump.
I spent 10 minutes inside the public rotunda area.
I walked out of the same set of open doors that I had entered, and because of that, I was facing 24 years in prison.
Now, it's important for everybody to know that I was the only elected Republican legislator in the entire country that they could get their hands on.
I was an elected official at the time, and that is one of the reasons I quickly became the face of this.
So early on, it was myself, it was Jacob Chansley, you know, Kumon Shimon that was on Tucker the other night.
It was me, him, and Richard Biggo Barnett, them two because of how they were dressed, and Biggo because of him putting the feet up on Pelosi's desk, and me because I was an elected Republican.
And so they came after me extremely hard for those reasons alone.
So, Derek, you didn't...
Did you smash any statues?
Never touched anything at all.
And actually, the video pinned to the top of my Twitter feed shows everything I just told you is true, the interaction with the police officer and everything.
After discussing with the police officer, I'm heard on video several times reminding everyone, no vandalizing, no destruction of property.
These are artifacts.
This is our house.
Be respectful.
No one was doing anything to the contrary, but we had been, throughout the entire day on the east side of the building, we had been reminding each other to be peaceful, don't destroy anything, because we knew that the mainstream media, if anybody so much as knocked over a styrofoam cup, they were going to blow it out of proportion.
So we were very mindful of that on that day.
So you didn't break any statues, you didn't tear any paintings off the wall, you didn't throw paint on the walls or on the floor, you didn't assault anybody, you peacefully walked in, fist bumped the police officer, and walked out.
And you got 90 days?
Yep.
I was facing, well, the crazy part is I was facing 24 years in prison, ultimately sentenced to three months.
I spent eight days of that in solitary confinement, locked down for 24 hours a day, no shower, no phone call, no sunlight, no grass, no nothing.
Because I refused the COVID vaccine.
So when I got there, they tried to make me take the COVID vaccine.
I said no.
Because of that, they said I'd go into quarantine.
Quarantine was they throw you in the hole for eight or nine days until they really want to let you out, and I refused it.
So, Derek, so what happened?
I mean, they didn't arrest you on the spot.
They obviously came to your home or issued a summons.
How did all that take place?
Yeah, so when I got back, late January 6th, early January 7th, the morning, it's about an eight-hour drive from D.C. for me.
So by the time I got home, I was all over national media because I live-streamed what I did that day.
I had a big following on social media.
I didn't think what I was doing was a big deal.
So I had a huge following and live-streamed it.
And by the time I got home, I was everywhere.
All the late-night talk show hosts, every media outlet was running my face, my video of me entering the building.
So I had a local attorney.
I think you're fine, but let's just go ahead and retain me right now.
Not going to cost you anything up front.
Just get some legal representation, just in case, because you're everywhere right now.
I said, okay.
He sent a letter to the DOJ and said, hey, I'm representing this guy.
He's an elected state rep here in West Virginia.
He's not going to run or anything.
If you guys want him, just let him know.
He'll be more than happy to come down and answer questions.
Well, on January 8th, the media showed up at my house, and about 10 minutes later, 10 to 15 federal agents, FBI agents, rolled into my house.
They'd watched my wife leave.
I had three kids at the time.
And my wife was like nine months pregnant.
My wife was leaving for her final doctor's appointment.
They watched her leave, knew I was home alone with my three kids, and that's when they decided to come and arrest me in front of my kids and with the media and everything there and basically kidnapped me and took me away and held me hostage.
Don't you think it's great how they contacted the media and had them show up first so they could catch all this on camera?
It absolutely was, man.
It's funny because January 7th, the media was at my house all day.
It was like something you'd see in a TV show.
We couldn't drive down the driveway and pull out.
Cameras, you know, they're chasing with microphones and everything.
But on the 8th, there was no one at my house.
It was like, oh man, thankfully that only lasted a day.
Little did you know.
Little did you know.
Well, I'm sitting there and then all of a sudden I see the media.
I got a big window in my living room and I see the media start setting up cameras.
And instantly, no joke, instantly I thought, I wonder if something's about to happen.
Are they about to Roger Stone me?
And sure enough, man, sure enough, 10 minutes later, Here came the feds rolling in.
I can't even put into words how shocked I was that this was actually happening.
Brother, this is the stuff what happened to you.
This is the stuff that happens in communist, socialist, and Marxist countries.
This is the stuff that happens in North Korea.
This is the stuff that happens in China.
This is the stuff that happens in Iran.
This is the stuff that happens in Venezuela.
It is sickening.
That we live in what is supposed to be the freest country on earth.
And the Department of Justice and the FBI is weaponized, colluding with the media to come after good, honest Americans.
Yeah, and you know what?
What I keep telling everyone, Teddy, is, you know, I share my story, and people were just, you know, I spoke at CPAC sharing my story about January 6th, and, you know, everybody was just amazing and astonished.
They couldn't believe these things were happening, and this is what I tell everyone.
You think my story sucks and is terrible, and it is.
This is only scratching the surface on what's happening to the men and the women in the D.C. Gulag who've been locked up for over 700 days pre-trial with no bond, No bail, no visits from their family, no visits from their lawyer, no due process, not able to get any of this video evidence, and just being overcharged and facing, quite frankly, some of them, the rest of their lives in prison.
Some of these men are facing, literally spending hundreds of years in prison.
They're never going to get out.
I mean, it's insanity.
So you mean to tell me Kamala Harris...
Who did a fund to bail out all of the Antifa and BLM protesters from the Summer of Love.
She didn't create a fund to help you guys out.
Kamala Harris, like, she will bail out anarchists, okay?
But people who committed no violent crimes, people are letting rot in a D.C. jail.
Absolutely.
Not only are they allowing it, they're cheering it on.
They think it's amazing.
They're happy about it.
I mean, this is, honestly, this is one of the greatest, it's not just justice.
I mean, it's just one of the greatest human rights violations in our lifetime that's taking place right now with the January 6th political prisoners.
Derek, what can be done to get these people out?
What can be done to get these people freed?
Especially now that the remaining hours of the video have been released.
And the fact number one, you went to court.
You did not have due process.
You did not have that evidence at your fingertips.
What can be done, Derek?
Well, not only do we not have the evidence, I mean, they've tainted the jury pool in D.C.
I mean, they're playing the January 6th sham committee on a loop throughout all of D.C.
92 or 94 percent of these people voted for Biden.
This is not a jury of our peers.
They will not grant a change of venue for anyone.
People are literally lining up out the door like it's a reality TV show, and they were wanting to be selected for the reality TV show.
These people are literally crying wanting to be selected to be on the jury pool to convict people.
And quite frankly, most of them think that we deserve the death penalty.
In terms of what can be done, right now one of the big things that we're calling for is, first of all, change of venue.
We've got to start beating that drum to get these guys a fair trial.
Look, we're not asking them to move the trial to Texas or West Virginia.
We're asking them to move it 10 to 20 miles outside of city limits, and it would be a huge difference, and these guys could actually get a fair trial as opposed to kangaroo courts that are taking place right now.
The other thing, and it's something that can be done instantly, and I think we've talked about this before, Teddy, is the D.C. jails and municipalities of D.C., including the jails, fall under the jurisdiction of the U.S. House, and more specifically, the Oversight Committee.
The Republicans are in charge now.
They could take control of the D.C. gulag and release these January 6th political prisoners from the gulag.
Now, I want to be clear.
They would still be facing their criminal charges with the DOJ. The BOP could move them to another prison if they wanted to, but we're fine with that because the two worst places that a January 6th political prisoner could be right now is the Northern Neck Jail, and there's only one left.
We almost got everybody out of there, and then the D.C. Gulag.
And the House Oversight Committee could take control of the D.C. Jail and release these prisoners out of the D.C. Jail so they could at least be home with their families while they are fighting their trials and actually meet with their attorneys All these things.
And, Teddy, this is how bad it is in the D.C. Gulag.
These men were, because of the Tucker tapes the last couple of nights, these men had a raid and a lockdown in the D.C. Gulag.
So these guys are back on lockdown.
They're not able to speak with their families right now.
They are being punished because Tucker released some coverage of them.
This is America, right?
I mean, this doesn't sound like that this could happen on American soil.
It's supposed to be.
Brother, it's disgusting.
It really is.
So, for all the folks out there watching, in case you had any questions about the dual justice system in our country, you're hearing about it now.
You are definitely hearing about it now.
There are people who have gone out and committed violent crimes, violent felonies, who don't even do a quarter of the time.
Of these people who are sitting in jail for January 6th under false pretenses.
They did nothing wrong.
Folks, this is the people's house.
And folks like Derek, who went in, 10 minutes, live-streamed it, was respectful to law enforcement, and walked out.
Derek, why 90 days?
Is that because that was a plea that you took, correct?
Yeah, absolutely.
And I want to stress to everyone, I used to always say I would never plead guilty to something I didn't do.
And I cried the day that I signed that plea.
And I made a promise that day that I was going to spend every moment when I got out and got finished with this, I was going to use that opportunity to speak out for my fellow J6 political prisoners who are still fighting everything right now.
So The options are not, do you want to take a plea deal or have a jury of your peers in a fair trial?
My options were, do I want to take this plea deal or do I want to go to trial and 100% be convicted on all charges and face 24 years in prison?
Those are the options.
I've got four young kids at this point, all under the age of five.
My oldest is five years old.
She just turned seven now, but this is at the time.
I had four kids under the age of five.
My wife comes to me when they offered the final plea deal.
And it was going to put me at zero to six months for civil disorder.
My wife came to me.
She was crying.
I mean, and just said, Derek, listen, I know this is not what you want to do, but we need you.
Like, I can't do this anymore.
Like, it was so hard.
I mean, she's been an amazing support, been an amazing rock star.
People have no clue outside of just facing that many years in prison.
We've been debanked.
We've been deplatformed for everything.
Forget deplatformed from social media.
We got a letter in the mail from Chase Bank, who our mortgage is through.
And we had 30 to, I think it was 45 days from the date of the letter.
By the time we received it, we had roughly 30 days.
They were calling the note on our mortgage.
So we either had to pay the house off in cash or lose our home.
So now we're scrambling around.
We don't have that kind of money.
We're paying lawyer fees.
Yeah.
And so now we found a local community bank who sped up the process and got us refinanced.
But I mean, the platform from PayPal, Airbnb, Uber, I mean, I mean, Venmo, Cash App, we can't use any of these services right now.
We're the most canceled people in the world.
And so, you know, there's a lot of stress with that.
And my wife came to me and said, listen, I just want this over with.
I know you're going to go to prison for a short time, but I'm just ready to move on with our lives.
And so I told her, I said, look, I told you from the get-go that I was going to leave this up to you.
And that's what I told her when this first happened.
I said, when they first started offering plea deals, She said, what do you want to do?
And I said, that's not the right question.
The question is, what do you want to do?
This is up to you.
This is affecting you.
And honestly, when I was in prison, it was so difficult on her.
She was a single mom, having to run my business and keep the house afloat.
And that's what's happening.
It's the breadwinners that are being locked up, the financial...
The cheapest lawyer we found, Teddy, was a $50,000 retainer up front just to get started.
That's just to start the process.
We were out of money.
We're facing bankruptcy at this point.
I'm facing 24 years in prison.
We've almost lost our house.
Then they come and they say, hey, you can serve zero to six months.
All you got to do is sign this and move on with your life.
That's what we chose to do.
There's parts of me every single day that regret it.
There's parts of me every single day that I'm glad that I'm on the other side of this now.
I've already served my prison sentence.
I'm only on probation now, and I can use my voice and my platform to speak out for my fellow J6ers.
Now, Derek, is there any repercussions that can be brought against Merrick Garland, The DOJ, the FBI, Chase Bank, PayPal, all these slimy liberal organizations.
Have you looked into, is there any type of repercussions that you can hang on them?
Yeah, we've been looking into it.
I know that Brandon Strzok with Walkaway Foundation has some lawsuits going on right now with some of the media.
I'm not for sure.
I'm assuming it involves PayPal and stuff as well.
The issue that we're running into, Teddy, is I would love to continue to fight and to sue these people.
I have no more money left to do that.
I mean, that's just the reality of the situation.
They financially drained everyone, and not just me, it's all the J6ers.
We are financially strapped at this point.
We don't have the funds to pay for legal fees to do that.
We are discussing in our groups right now, we want to file a class action lawsuit against the media, against the government, against these people who knowingly lied and ruined our lives.
But the issue is, you know, we're trying to find an attorney who would Do that for the, you know, on the front end for free, you know, for a percentage on the back end like we know some attorneys do.
Yeah, under contingency.
Exactly.
Yeah, contingency.
That's what we're looking for because we don't have, none of us, I mean, Teddy, there are women out there who retired and have literally had their homes paid off so they could survive retirement, who refinanced their homes so they could pay for their son's legal fees.
We have families out there who have actually moved in together because one of them lost their home from having to pay legal fees.
People cannot even begin to understand.
Lawyers are expensive anyways, but when you get into a really high-profile case such as this, it's even more expensive because there's so much more that goes into it.
They're risking their law career at the end of the day for even associating with us.
It's really hard right now to find some legal representation.
But if there's anyone out there, we are eager to continue fighting, and we would love to file a class-action lawsuit against the government, the media, all these other companies.
We just need some help in order to do so.
Well, and again, too, brother, it shows the obvious collusion between the Democrat Party, the federal government and the national media.
It shows the collusion.
And this is not what should be happening in America right now.
Now, Derek, you are also fighting back in another way as well.
Tell us about your congressional run, brother.
Yeah, man, really excited.
As we mentioned earlier, I was previously elected to the West Virginia State House here in West Virginia.
I was the first Republican to win my district in 98 years when I won in 2020.
I won the landslide victory.
And that's why they came after me so hard.
So yeah, after getting out of prison, it took a couple weeks to really start adjusting a little bit and everything.
And people have been asking me to run.
And we ran a couple polls and saw that we were a very viable candidate.
It's one of the reddest districts in the country.
Trump won by over 50 points in this district.
And so on January 6th of this year, perfect day to do it, right?
We officially announced that we're going to run for U.S. Congress here in the Southern District of West Virginia's first congressional district.
And how's your race going, brother?
How's it looking?
It's going awesome, man.
It really is.
I mean, there's so much energy right now on the ground here with not only just the voters in general, but the county executive committees, the people in this district.
I've had people every single day reaching out saying, hey, I want to volunteer for your race in this county or that county and want to get involved.
It's been absolutely...
I've been overwhelmed with how much support we've had from the people here.
I didn't know what to expect.
I knew that in my hometown area, I knew that I could put my name on a ballot and win pretty much any race at this point.
They all love me because they've known me their entire lives.
I didn't know how people outside of my immediate area, other parts of the district who maybe only saw me during when I was running the last time or saw my name on the news or interviews and they never watched me grow up from the time I was a little boy.
I didn't know how they were going to react to the January 6th situation.
But I can tell you, man, they are fired up right now to have a Firebrand candidate representing them on the national stage, and they're excited to send a message to the Globalist Uniparty that they're sick and tired of everything that's happening, and they're excited that I'm going to be the person delivering that message.

So they're terrified right now, and there's a lot of eyes on this race.
Not only looking for how much money is raised, they're wanting to see how many donors, how many people took the time to donate.

This whole insurrectionist, domestic terrorist narrative.
I think that's all been debunked.

I would say that if it wasn't before Tucker, I would say that it's officially debunked at this point.
Look, there was no insurrection.
Once again, I say it all the time, if there was an insurrection, it happened on November 3rd, 2020, when they stole the election from the American people.
We're the most armed citizens in the entire world.
And I don't just mean Americans.
I'm talking about conservative Americans.
We're the most armed citizens in the world.

We showed up with flagpoles, cell phones, and American pride in our hearts.
To exercise our natural God-given rights of free speech and ask them to give us a 10-day period to look at the election results.
That's all we were doing that day.
And to claim that there was an insurrection is just a CNN talking point.
Anyone who says that I'm an insurrectionist, I instantly know that they're a CNN parakeet.
Well, keep in mind, too, Derek, insurrection is a federal crime.
So they would be accusing you of committing a federal crime.
And that right there is defamation.
And, brother, I was in D.C. on January 6th as well.
They came at me hard, insurrectionists, domestic terrorists, the whole nine yards, and I tell people this all the time.
If this was truly an insurrection, we'd still be there.
Seriously, the crowd that day, if that was an armed crowd, if that was truly an insurrection, we would still be there occupying that building and governing this nation.
All this was was a peaceful protest.
Well, Teddy, they've already established that there was not enough law enforcement there that day to control the crowd.
So my question to those people was, then who controlled the crowd?
The answer is we did.
We're still policing people.
We're law-abiding citizens.
As you just pointed out, there are hundreds of thousands of people there.
If we wanted to be violent, if we wanted to be destructive as a group, and we wanted to take that building, I mean, as you said, we would still be there right now.
There were not enough police officers to control the crowd.
We self-policed and controlled the crowd on that day.
