In a moment, we're going to be joined by pro-life attorney Susan Swift to talk about this recent decision by CVS and Walmart providing abortion pills...
And, you know, drive through abortions, postal abortions, without having any safety measures for the women there in place.
In fact, even a partner or someone who isn't that woman can order an abortion pill online.
It's absolutely outrageous.
And Susan is going to talk to us about the risks of these pills that have actually killed women.

We're joined now by Susan Swift, who's the Vice President of Legal Affairs at the Right to Life League.
Prior to working in pro-life, Susan served as a litigation attorney at a prominent international law firm in downtown Los Angeles.
As the mother of seven children, she has dedicated her life and legal skills to champion civil rights for the unborn.
Susan, thank you so much for joining us today.
We appreciate your time.
I'm really honored to be with you, Maria.
Thank you so much for having me.
Well, this is such an important conversation and truly, you know, people like you are heroes in my eyes because we are so distracted by so many different things in this world and yet murder is happening every single day.
Murder of children.
And I can't think of anything more egregious.
And not only is it murder of children, but it's presenting murder as something positive.
So before we get into this decision from CVS, Walgreens, and I believe another pharmaceutical provider about being able to just decide to get an abortion one day, I want a little bit of background about you and Right to Life League, and then we'll get into the topics of the day.
Sure.
Well, I'll tell you a little bit about the Right to Life League.
We were founded in 1967.
That's long before Roe vs.
Wade, the American case, was ever decided.
And we were founded by a group of doctors and lawyers and concerned citizens.
They wanted to create a grassroots Movement really to educate against abortion.
And we started the Right to Life League.
We were actually the very first pro-life organization in the United States.
And we kind of started the pro-life movement here.
What they did in...
This is in 1967.
They went to then...
Governor Ronald Reagan, California's governor.
And they lobbied him and tried to explain to him about the truth of abortion.
And that meeting with him started at 15 minutes and it went to more than an hour.
And they were able to educate him about the truth of abortion, that abortion is the intentional killing of a human being in the womb.
That's its whole purpose.
There is no other purpose to it.
It's not to save the life of the mother.
That would be called delivery.
That is not what an abortion is.
It's just killing the baby, dragging it out, you know, piecing it back together, make sure you have it.
And moving on.
The lie that Planned Parenthood, Margaret Sanger and Ellen Guttmacher, that's the data arm of Planned Parenthood, has come together and they've been pushing is that abortion is healthcare.
Ellen Guttmacher made an argument long ago that said, well, because Any pregnancy can, theoretically, endanger the life of a mother.
Any pregnancy, therefore, is a risk to the mother's health.
That justifies, in his mind, that abortion, the elimination of the pregnancy tissue, the product of conception, that is life-saving.
That is a lie.
Again, if we were talking about saving the life of the mother in difficult circumstances like Preoclampsia, perhaps ectopic pregnancy or other difficulty, we would be talking about delivery, which can be affected in moments.
And that's not true with abortion, especially in second and third trimesters.
It takes days.
Even with the chemical abortion, it takes days to have an abortion.
Let's think about what's the abortion pill.
It's called mifepristone.
It's also known as RU486. It came from France, thanks to Bill Clinton, his administration, in partnership with the Rockefeller Population Center.
And they brought the drug into the United States in the late 1990s, 2000s, because that's what it is.
It's a drug cocktail that is designed to slowly starve the baby, the developing baby, to death, and then expel the baby with powerful uterine contractions, basically premature labor.
That's what that is.
So that takes days.
Even the abortion pill takes days to effect.
And so if you really want to talk about saving the life of the mother, you can do that with delivery.
That can happen in moments, in minutes, and you're saving the life of the mother.
That's the distinction.
Anyway, to get back to the Right to Life League and what they started, Reagan then was very dismayed.
And said, well, I've already given my word to the Democrats in California.
I said I would sign the first therapeutic abortion bill.
And I can't break my word, but I will promise you the Right to Life League that I will never again sign another piece of pro-abortion legislation.
And he kept his word all the way through his presidency.
So that's the effect that the Right to Life League has had since its founding.
And yes, when Roe v.
Wade came along, of course, we wanted to participate in turning that around.
And we were thrilled when Dobbs came out and Reversed Roe v.
Wade and corrected that egregious error that even Justice Ginsburg said was wrongly founded on a right to privacy.
She would have preferred an equal protection argument and we could discuss why that's wrong too, but at least it makes more sense than a right to privacy argument.
So that's how we were founded.
We've always educated on abortion.
The second thing that we've always done is we've We've protested against abortion expansion laws.
The third thing that we've done and we continue to do, it is our signature program.
We represent, we assist pro-life clinics, centers and maternity homes all up and down the state of California.
So that they can keep their doors open.
And that's so critical because these are all very small nonprofits.
Some of them are just staffed by volunteers and they are a fully licensed medical clinic and they are a nonprofit operating in California.
That means they have a lot of regulatory burdens on them.
A lot of them are nice church ladies, right?
And all of a sudden they find themselves the executive director of a licensed clinic in California.
And there are lots of laws that you have to be in compliance with, otherwise the state will gladly shut you down.
And so when they have a problem, They call the league.
They don't have any other support.
And what we do is we give HR training, boot camps, employment, you know, seminars.
We give ultrasound machines, financing, anything that they need, networking opportunities so that they have the tools that they need to keep their doors open because they are the boots on the ground.
They minister to abortion minded women.
They come alongside big sister them and say, look, you don't need to kill your baby.
We'll walk you through.
We'll give you there.
Sometimes a lot of the volunteers are have already had an abortion themselves and they've they've grown and changed and said, I will tell you how it was and you don't need to do this.
So they get one on one personal counseling and options and they learn that there is hope and that life is a good thing.
And that is how we're going to stop abortion.
It's by coming alongside of women, partnering with them and loving them and showing them that Christian grace, that life is hope and life is worth living, and that there is always something that we can do to help them.
That's how we're going to end abortion.
But anyway, that's how the league got started in 67.
And we've been continuing on those three platforms since.
Well, that's absolutely amazing, Susan.
And I'm so grateful for organizations like yours, really a light in the darkness.
And the darkness is great.
Right now, we've got Walgreens and CVS to join the Big Pharma abortion cartel.
They're opening over 18,000 abortion clinics nationwide.
Talk to us about that.
Yes, I'll tell you why what you just said is true.
Because people say, well, they're not abortion clinics, they're just pharmacies.
Well, yes, but what they're going to be offering now, what they're applying to do through the FDA is to dispense the abortion cocktail.
It's called a, you know, a chemical abortion.
The abortion providers, they like to call it a medication abortion because that sounds much more healthy, doesn't it?
I'm getting a medication abortion, right?
Just like they call the surgical abortion, they call it aspiration.
You don't even know what that means, right?
So they use these Marxist Orwellian terms to kind of gloss things over.
This is a chemical abortion.
It's a drug cocktail.
RU486, again, brought in through the Bill Clinton administration, the Rockefeller Population Center into the United States to, you know, offer a chemical abortion.
It's a two drug cocktail.
You take the first one, it's mifepristone, that's the other name that it goes by.
And what that does is slowly starve the baby over two or three days because it interrupts the natural pregnancy hormone of progesterone.
It cuts that off so that the uterine lining begins to degrade, the placenta isn't functioning.
That maintains your pregnancy, is the progesterone.
And then two days later, you take misoprostol, which is another drug that's used off-label, and it creates powerful uterine contractions and expels the dead or dying baby.
And we already have instances of babies being born alive after a chemical abortion.
And surviving sometimes four days.
There was one baby born at 30 weeks in the UK and lived for four days because the doctor gave it to her and she thought she was fewer weeks along.
She didn't know she was that far along.
Again, it's a dangerous drug.
The FDA in the United States already documents there are 28 cases of deaths associated with taking RU486 or mifepristone.
So we know that it's deadly.
It also has horrible side effects as well.
In addition to, you know, the cramping, the bleeding and all that, you can hemorrhage because the bleeding can be coming uncontrolled.
You can get a toxic shock, basically sepsis.
You might have to have an additional surgical procedure, not basically finishing it up to stop the hemorrhaging.
So it's dangerous to women.
And yet they've now We've reduced the restrictions on it.
Here's what the FDA has.
It's called REMS, which is Risk Evaluation and Mitigation Strategies.
REMS is a way of balancing the benefits of the drug that the FDA is regulating.
And so, these REMS are in place to protect women, right?
But now, what has happened recently under the Biden administration, they began loosening the REMS. They looked to COVID and the lockdowns in the United States and said, well, it's so important that women are able to access abortion because, you know, That's healthcare.
Again, a lie, right?
They have to continue the death, the sacrifice of these innocent babies.
They have to do that, right?
So what they did, the first thing they did is they lifted the REMS that said, you must at least go and have an in-person visit with your doctor where they can date your pregnancy by giving you an ultrasound and see, are you really, you know, eight weeks along or 10 weeks along?
Or are you more, you know, 14, 15, 16 weeks along?
Because the abortion cocktail, the abortion chemistry is not safe if you're more than 10 or 12 weeks gestationally, because it risks the mother's life.
So they eliminated the in-person and the dating, and now you can just go on telehealth medicine.
So you can just type in all your data, Zap it to your doctor, probably get on a Zoom call for like five minutes with a nurse practitioner or something.
It's a minimal thing.
And the doctor can write you a prescription for mifepristone, RU486. Then you had to, it used to be that women would have to at least go into the abortion clinic and take the pill right there so that at least the doctors would know, okay, At least you're taking it now.
We know that it's in your system.
Go home and take the other pill in two days.
Call us if you have any trouble.
At least they had that.
Now that's been wiped out too.
There's no requirement that you go in person.
No requirement that you just pick it up at A clinic or a hospital.
Now, Walgreens, CVS, and another pharmacy outlet called Rite Aid, R-I-T-E, Rite Aid, they're all applying under the most recent FDA rems.
They said, well, we will just provide this drug, not over the counter, but by prescription.
So now you just go into a clinic, You get your prescription, telehealth.
You don't need to go there.
You just, you know, telehealth.
They'll send the prescription to Walgreens or CVS or Rite Aid, and then you can just drive through the drive-through, right?
Pick up your drugs, go home, take the abortion medicine, and then abort your baby into the toilet.
That's the plan.
And this is dangerous for women.
But this is what the FDA and its most recent REMS is saying is health care for women.
I can't.
I mean, my skin is crawling as you're talking to me, Susan.
I can't imagine.
And here's my biggest problem, right?
I understand that this is a depopulation agenda.
I know what Planned Parenthood is.
I understand that they want to destroy people's lives.
But the people that don't see this, the people that go along with this, this is the scariest part.
You mentioned the safe period.
What's to stop someone saying, oh, I am within that 12 weeks when they're actually 15, 16 weeks along.
What are the risks to those mothers then?
There are so many variables here.
There is nothing to stop them.
And in fact, we have anecdotal information from different clinics around the nation where that's exactly happened, where a young woman will go in.
They know that, okay, I can get the abortion pill so long as I'm 12 weeks or under.
So I'll just self-report that I'm 12 weeks or under.
A lot of them don't know.
I mean, some of them are just innocently.
They just don't know.
They don't remember when their period started.
They just think, okay, I should be about eight weeks.
I don't know.
So they, some of them are being very truthful, but some are also maybe not being so truthful.
And the other thing is that we know this anecdotally that other women And at this point, men who identify, who even knows what's going on, you can apply and say, I'm getting this drug right, and you can give it to your friend, to your girlfriend.
In fact, in California, we have a law, AB 2223, that just passed, it's in effect now, that says you cannot prosecute anyone who assists a woman in her chosen pregnancy outcome, which would include a perinatal death due to causes that occurred in utero.
Well, what does that mean?
Perinatal means afterbirth.
So a perinatal death is the death of a baby born alive due to causes that occurred in utero, like an abortion by chemistry, right?
A chemical abortion by mifepristone, okay?
So you can have boyfriends buy these drugs online.
He can just, you know, sign in as Brenda instead of Bob, right?
Have the death medicine sent to him, give it to his girlfriend, whether willing or not.
I don't know.
Well, who knows, right?
I know.
What's to stop them just dropping it in a Mickey?
Although, at least in California, the woman has to have consent, at least stand there and say, well, I consented to this.
So that's the only shred of it.
So if you have done that to a woman, then she obviously didn't consent to the abortion.
That's something different.
Anyone can buy these medications now online with a telehealth and no in-person anything.
You just apply online and get the drugs sent to you by mail, thanks to the FDA under the Biden administration.
You can give it to your girlfriend or your best friend, whoever it is.
She takes the drugs and she can have her abortion.
She aborts a living human being in her bedroom or on the floor or into a toilet.
And so long as she's happy with that, there's no...
And if this baby is born alive in California, a perinatal death, that's a death that happens after the baby is born alive.
No one can investigate it.
Because if you do, first of all, the coroner is forbidden from investigating it.
And anyone who actually even threatens to investigate it, like, say, you know, an ambulance who shows up and says, my God, how did this baby die?
You know, it's...
It's a three-week-old baby right here.
How did it die?
By threatening to investigate the cause of the death, the mother and anyone who assisted her, so boyfriend or best friend, whoever, has a cause of action for $25,000 plus attorney's fees and costs against anyone.
So they're covering up data.
Do you see?
They're not going to have investigations.
They're going to encourage you to get chemical abortions, surgical abortions, and then if the baby is born alive from a chemical or surgical botched abortion, practically speaking, yes, there is a law in California that says this baby now has the right to medical care, same as another baby born at the same time.
But who's going to ensure that?
And who's going to make sure that actually happened?
If everybody in the room, if their goal is a dead baby, abortion, why not just smother it or just let it die?
Just let it sit there for a few hours or weeks.
What if it's born with Downs and you just don't feed it?
And then you say, well, so long as somebody can point to a perinatal cause due to causes that occurred in utero, No one is going to investigate it.
That law, AB 2223, is going to cover up botched chemical abortions.
So they have everything in play now.
And now, with the lowered federal REMS, the risk evaluation and mitigation strategies, now the federal government through the Biden administration is assisting these pro-abortion states To make sure that they can ship these drugs through the mail anywhere.
And it's to thwart, on purpose, to thwart laws like Texas that restricts it at, I think, six weeks when the heartbeat begins.
And Louisiana's 15 weeks.
Florida, I believe, is 15 weeks.
And so now you can just ship drugs anywhere.
And that is all directly because of a federal policy that is attempting to circumvent the judicial branch.
So we've got a war of the executive branch Versus the judicial branch.
That's the civil war that's starting all over abortion.
We're not trying to help these women choose life.
We're not supporting them and saying, what do you need?
And why are you concerned about it?
And again, the gorilla in the room, and this is...
98% of abortions, at least the data that we have, 98% is not for the life of the mother, the health of the mother, or for rape or incest.
Rape and incest make up less than 2% of this, alright?
So, all of it taken together, most of these abortions are being done, according to the data that we have, for convenience.
Because the mother feels stressed, right?
She feels like I don't have any other choice.
That was another statistic from the Guttmacher Institute in 2014.
They found out that about 73% of women who chose abortion, they're below the poverty line, they chose abortion because they self-reported.
They said, I don't feel like I have any other choice.
This is where the argument of, oh, it's a woman's choice because it's a risk to her life or perhaps extreme cases where a woman suffered abuse and is now pregnant because of that abuse.
Those statistics are so minor.
They are so minor for the most part.
It's because, like you said, the woman feels like she doesn't have a choice or she just simply doesn't want the baby.
And, you know, why do women feel like they don't have the choice?
Because the way the cost of living, the way that society is these days, it shuns women being mothers.
There are so many factors here.
Yes, and instead of having a compassionate government, well, look, we have billions of dollars.
We're running, what, a $31 trillion deficit?
We're sending, you know, billions overseas and everything.
How could we just have $1 billion here to minister to mothers and to maybe fix our adoption systems or something?
Couldn't we just have a little bit of help here?
So no one is prioritizing life and the health of mothers and their ability to parent and to strengthen the family because, again, This is an attack on society.
This is an attack on God.
And if you think about God as the Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit in a Trinity, what is the earthly reflection of that triangle of the Trinity?
The family.
The family, exactly.
A father and a mother who are united together with the Holy Spirit to create life.
And so what they're doing is they can't strike at God in heaven.
So they're striking at the earthly reflection of that.
And that is what divorce is about.
That is what the contraception pill really was all about.
And now they've figured it out.
It's an abortion pill.
We can kill babies in the womb before they're born.
And this is how we strike at God and strike at the family.
We're breaking down society.
We've known for thousands of years that the most successful human Endeavors are done in families.
That's the best way to grow a stable, happy society.
And we're breaking that apart.
And so I know your question was, well, what about people who don't know any better?
And how are they going along with this?
We've just gone through a global event with the COVID vaccine, where it was all mandated.
And there were countries mandating, forcing their people to get this experimental jab.
It is a psyops.
It is a psyops to frighten you and to scare you.
That's what the abortion industry, the abortion cartel is trying to scare women and saying, abortion is dangerous for your health.
Abortion is, you know, I'm not sorry, I don't say abortion is dangerous.
Birth is.
Childbirth is dangerous for your health and that you're going to, you know, you might be risking your life and you'll risk your career.
and they did this doom speech all day long and tell women in college your life will be over.
And that's just such a lie, but there's no one to counter it, except pro-life groups like this, because we're trying to speak the truth and tell these women, I mean, look, I mean, I've been through college, I've been through law school.
I've had seven children.
Life turned out pretty good for me.
Explain that to someone who's 22 and is listening to the lies that are being spewed by Planned Parenthood and the abortion cartel.
And look, life is different today than it was for you when you started having children.
And I acknowledge that.
You know, the younger generation have far fewer chances, for example, of buying a home.
I mean, it's almost impossible now.
Yes, they're being doom-pilled.
They're being doom-pilled on purpose from government policies that are driving up inflation globally.
They're driving up prices.
And because of over-regulation in a myriad of different places, whether it's, you know, a building or anything that you want to say, they're doom-pilling an entire generation.
And so we're all on our phones.
And all we're doing is we're just listening in the twilight, just kind of listening to this This psios that we are being sold that there is no more hope and that we're all going to just be, you know, we're going to own nothing and we will be happy, right?
I mean, this is what they're saying.
Instead of celebrating independence and freedom and looking at the nature of human beings, which is that God gives life to each individual and that This is the most important thing of the entire history of the world, is humankind, right?
Instead of stressing that and building that up, they're doom-pilling us with all of these, well, we will manage you and take care of you, and you don't have to own a car now, you'll just borrow one, and all of this.
This is doom-pilling for control over a population, and if they can't control the population, they will kill the population.
I really like that, doom-pilling us.
They're doom-pilling us, and we need the antidote, which is...
Hope and God and love.
And here's the thing, which is what I was trying to get to before, with yes, times are different now and it is more difficult to have a really large family compared to what it used to be, right?
Because you need more money to feed those children, you need more resources, you need all of the above.
First of all, God is our provider, so he will provide, but the I think?
For example, another example of obliterating humankind is through the transgender movement.
This is all intertwined with transhumanism.
Everything that you're talking about, it's about destroying identity, destroying the image of God.
And now we have children being mutilated.
And I know you have a few things to say about that as well.
Yes, because the notion that our rights and our essence come from God, that's natural law.
Again, by the way, Planned Parenthood and other abortion providers are now, because their market share has dwindled in America because of the Overturn of Roe vs.
Wade and Dobbs saying states can regulate it.
What they're starting to do now is they're moving into transgender hormones and surgeries because it's very lucrative.
So they have a financial interest into telling your children that it's okay for them to mutilate themselves.
You know, gender mutilation and hormone blockers.
Hormone blockers will prevent their being able to have children.
So yeah, an abortion kills one child at a time.
Transgenderism can kill an entire generation if it's successful enough.
That's abortion 2.0.
So that's what they're moving into.
And it's the notion that you can change, that you are God, and that you can change who you were created to be, right?
That you have the power of creation over yourself.
There is no way that you can change your XX chromosomes to XY. And that's the definition of male and female.
God made them male and female.
Male and female, he created them.
We know that there are two genders.
That is immutable.
You can't change it.
But yet, this entire movement is trying to say, you can.
You can become.
And look, it's also appealing to a very childlike innocence.
Every child, when they're two and three and four, they pretend to be You know, horses or boys or girls who want to pretend to be, you know, firemen or nurses or they want to pretend that they're mommy and daddy and they don't care about the gender, right?
I had one of my young babies.
He was a boy and he loved running around in a tutu.
That's what I was thinking, you know, and it's just like, okay, and he's two.
So that's okay because it's costume and it's fun, right?
Now we've taken cosplay, so we've got 30-year-olds walking around dressed up like furry people.
Right?
And then they think that they can identify as, well, I really am not, I'm non-binary, I've got all these 57 genders.
No, that's called playing pretend.
And you know what?
When you're not living in reality, that's a mental condition.
And you need to get mental help.
But instead, we've got a media and we've got I think there's big businesses that are promoting this through TikTok and all these different social medias so that it's now spiking.
It's now becoming this avant-garde thing to say, well, I think I'm gender confused, right?
No, you're not.
You're not confused.
We know who you're gender.
You're a girl or you're a boy.
You can look and that doesn't change.
You can pretend, but that's not healthy.
You can look and you'll see what gender you are.
It's quite simple.
You've got an innie or an outie.
That's all there is.
To do choices, okay?
And what we should be doing as good parents and as good members of society, we should be encouraging them to embrace who they are, who God made them to be.
But again, this is stabbing at God.
It's like saying, well, what is the original sin?
Pride.
It was when Lucifer fell, he said, non serviam, which is Latin for I will not serve, right?
So at least we know that angels speak Latin, but in any event.
What he said is, I am not going to serve you.
So that is what we are encouraging our children.
We're saying, oh, you can change who you are, who God made you.
That means you have more power over creation than God.
That is an ultimate heresy.
And that is what we are encouraging our young people to do.
But again, The message, the reason why, is it is population control.
Because then we don't have to have abortions anymore.
If we have enough transgendered people, right, that they're not capable, we're turning them into eunuchs for God's sake.
And they will not be able to reproduce.
It is the ultimate solution.
We don't need abortion anymore if we get enough people To just stop, you know, reproducing, incapable of reproducing.
Then I suppose the next thing that Planned Parenthood would want to move into is the managed, careful breeding of human beings for better health.
Doesn't that sound like something that Hitler would have dreamed up in eugenics?
That was exactly the message that Margaret Sanger embraced.
It's eugenics.
We want to carefully manage a herd of human beings and we will breed for them for They've already started this.
Designer babies, for goodness sake.
Under the guise of making sure that they don't have certain illnesses and this and that.
It's actually got nothing to do with that.
All of this presents as virtuous and positive on the outside, but when you dig deeper, it just isn't.
It's completely anti-human.
It's an attack on creation and that is so abundantly clear to me and it's becoming more clear to others as well.

What can I do?

So there's a role for fathers and a role for young men.
Tomorrow we can end abortion if we are all responsible for ourselves.
And if we go out with a spirit of love, To counsel and love those young men and those young women and turn them towards hope and tell them that life is good and life is worth living.
There is never a reason to kill another human being and God's got this.
That's what we have to be communicating.
That's how we end abortion.
We can work towards it in our communities, in our offices, perhaps running for school board, running for state or county or whatever your local governing board is.
We can do that through legislation.
But ultimately, those are all stopgap measures.
The most important thing, and Each one of us can do this today is love by surrendering our will to God and then going out and taking that hope and that love to those who are at risk, those young men and those young women who are considering risky behavior and may result in, you know, putting a woman at risk of abortion.
That's how we stop it.
We can stop it tomorrow if we all surrender to God's will.
