So now the latest obsession is accusing President Trump of being mentally unfit.
Donald J Trump is now president of the United States.
Yes, these are the very people accusing the president of insanity because he refuses to abide by their book of craziness.
So now people are obsessed with the 25th Amendment.
Oh, this is the way we're going to finally be rid of Trump.
It's going to be thanks to this new book, Fire and Fury, which is total fiction.
It says so right at the beginning of the book.
It's right here in the prologue.
The author admits that he's into allowing the reader to judge whether or not his sources claim...
And in other parts, he uses his judgment and research to arrive at what he describes as a version of events I believe to be true.
And Michael Wolff admitted Monday that he never actually interviewed the vice president or any cabinet members, even though some of the book's most incendiary claims are attributed to cabinet members.
Did you speak with any members of the president's cabinet for this book?
I did not.
You did not?
I did not.
And did you speak with the vice president?
I did not.
But this doesn't matter.
This is what passes for truth these days.
You know, it might be fake news, but it's accurately portraying my opinion.
Therefore, it's my personal truth.
And President Oprah said that our personal truths are the most important truths to tell.
The book is fake.
The sources are made up.
But because the fantastical story that's being woven in this book links up with the leftist perception of reality, well, the news is fit to print.
And it's even fit to bring up at White House press briefings, we want the president's response to these dubious claims.
The White House has said there were false statements in this book.
The president's lawyer has said there were libelous statements.
Could you just give a few examples of things?
John?
What's the president's reaction to the growing number of suggestions, both in this book and in the media, that he's mentally unfit to serve as president?
The book repeatedly says that candidate Trump, his family, and the top officials of the campaign...
Did not believe he would be elected.
It was the farthest from their mind.
Again, there are numerous mistakes, but I'm not going to waste my time or the country's time going page by page talking about a book that's complete fantasy and just full of tabloid gossip because it's sad, pathetic, and our administration and our focus is going to be on moving the country forward.
Crazy town we're living in.
And also very dangerous.
We're seeing mental health professionals making it a point to diagnose someone they've never actually met in order to build a case against them.
In fact, lawmakers invited a Yale psychiatry professor to brief them back in December.
This is Brandy X. Lee.
and she gave this professional warning to Capitol Hill.
He's going to unravel and we are seeing the signs.
We feel the rush of tweeting is an indication of his falling apart under stress.
Trump is going to get worse and will become uncontainable with the pressures of the presidency.
And I thought we weren't supposed to tolerate dangerous conspiracy theories.
Again, these are mental health professionals that have Never even met the president.
This woman, she's the editor of The Dangerous Case of Donald Trump.
It includes testimonials from 27 psychiatrists and mental health experts assessing the president's level of dangerousness.
And he is dangerous to the progressive agenda.
Anyone could just look at his very successful first year in office to see that he is more than fit to serve, and he's getting the job done at breakneck pace.
That is what is so frightening to these people.
Now, the 25th Amendment sets a very high bar.
There isn't just some arbitrary language in it that just gives a sweeping generalization of what could lead a president to be involuntarily removed from office.
The language there plainly states that the vice president and a majority of the cabinet could take such a step when the president is unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office.
You cannot remove the president from office because you don't like his tweets.
Now, Dr. Joe Scarborough would like the GOP to force Trump into a mental fitness exam.
This is the same show that...
Last year was, you know, really pointing the finger at anyone who dared question Hillary Clinton's health.
Hillary Clinton, who was clearly exhibiting some signs of illness consistently.
One of the reasons why she wasn't on the campaign trail is because she kept having to take days off to rest.
And how dare you sexist scumbag for wondering why Hillary Clinton was chucked into a van like a big side of meat.
Now, I think it's obvious that the ongoing onslaught from the left against President Trump is straight out of Saul Alinsky's rules for radicals.
I mean, obviously the first one, rule number eight, keep the pressure on, never let up, keep trying new things to keep the opposition off balance.
As the opposition masters one approach, hit them from the flank with something new.
Hello, Russia, impeach, mental instability, obstruction of justice.
Then we got rule number five.
Ridicule is man's most potent weapon.
There is no defense.
It's irrational.
It's infuriating.
It also works as a key pressure point to force the enemy into concessions.
Now, of course, we've seen this on the right and with President Trump, who is a master troll, ridicule is the most potent weapon because...
You know, people don't know what is happening.
So we can see the president here working with rule number five, but we also see the left is doing this as well with the constant ridicule and President Trump is responding via Twitter in rapid fire.
And so it's not only Saul Alinsky tactics being used here, but now we've got Harvard Law School professor Alan Dershowitz actually saying he's seeing something straight out of the communist playbook.
There's only one thing worse than trying to criminalize political differences and that's I'm trying to psychiatrize them.
These psychiatrists now who are trying to diagnose without ever having met the man, that's what they did in Russia.
I represented dissidents who they locked up in mental hospitals.
That's what they did in China.
That's what they did in apartheid South Africa.
How dare people on the left try to undo democracy by accusing a president of being mentally ill without any basis.
