| American athletes must assume that they represent the ideal citizen to have dug a hole this deep. | |
| Perhaps it's a combination of money, social status, and full-blown hubris. | |
| But the humbling reality for these fumbling fools is that they only represent themselves. | |
| Breitbart reports the plague of empty seats, which has befallen the National Football League, reached biblical proportions this week as teams continued to find it hard to fill stadiums. | |
| Naturally, a large number of players also continued their anti-American protests during the playing of the national anthem. | |
| And as a result, ticket prices are plummeting. | |
| Breitbart Sports reported on Sunday, in many cases, tickets are selling for prices lower than the cost of buying a beer or a hot dog. | |
| Meanwhile, the Seattle Times reports defensive end Quinton Jefferson was ejected for fighting Jaguars players. | |
| On his way off the field, Jefferson got into a verbal altercation with Jacksonville fans. | |
| Fans then hurled beer at Jefferson, who then muscled away from security to climb the barrier, attempting to get into the stands. | |
| Jefferson was ultimately restrained and made his way to the locker room. | |
| Usually I'm so busy, it's rare that I get an opportunity to just vent a little bit after some of the Sunday games and what have you. | |
| But I can't wait till first take tomorrow. | |
| I watched the end of the Jacksonville-Seattle game. | |
| I saw those folks throwing bottles at Quentin Jefferson. | |
| I just can't wait. | |
| I'm gonna come to this brother's defense. | |
| I ain't going to condone somebody jumping into the stands or whatever, but most of us can't say we wouldn't have done the same thing. | |
| If you got bottles with liquid in it being thrown at you while you're trying to exit the locker room. | |
| We're going to sit up here and we're going to say the obvious. | |

| And it's very rare that we come to the defense of the athlete in situations like that. | |
