Well, it is Black Friday at last, but all that's left are remnants of the Friday frenzy, or Thursday frenzy, should I say, that happened yesterday evening.
You can see trash littering the parking lots, because we drove by this exact mall parking lot last night.
And there was a massive frenzy.
There were tons of cars, lots of people out on Thanksgiving collecting on their Black Friday deals.
Now, we all know Thanksgiving is Thursday.
So essentially what's happened here is when people would typically be out on Black Friday, they're now not.
They were out on Thanksgiving instead of at home with their families because, hey, you gotta get the best deal at the mall.
I mean, man!
So, as you can see, there's a couple cars here, but I just want to say this mall here, the Barton Creek Mall, they actually opened the doors here at 6 a.m.
The amount of cars here is nothing compared to the full packed parking lot that there was yesterday evening on Thanksgiving.
I mean, there were so many people yesterday shopping and this is because essentially many businesses opened up their doors for Black Friday sales on Thursday, Thanksgiving rather than Friday.
So we're going to go ahead.
And head into the mall to see if we can capture anything.
Maybe if there's any remnants of what happened.
Or if maybe there are some people still in a frenzy state.
I did see as a way in here some people fighting in the, you know, over the lane.
But that's all I've seen so far because it seems like a lot of the frenzy has been...
You know, over and done with on Thursday.
That's not to say that we still have some people that are kind of in a frenzied state arriving.
So, let's go ahead.
We're going to head into the mall.
We're gonna unclip this mic here because we're likely likely to be kicked out of the mall But we're gonna kind of go like under the radar for you guys All right Ready?
I lovey.
Okay, so you can see that there's another news van over there This is so crazy like all the all the people all the frenzy that we saw last night This is supposed to be happening right now, and it's not anymore so How can you even call it Black Friday?
If it doesn't happen on Friday anymore, it happens on Thursday, which is supposed to be Thanksgiving.
Crazy.
So the mall, Advertised that it was gonna open at 6 a.m.
for Black Friday sales.
Problem is, it was open until I think 1 a.m.
last night on Thursday.
So, most people got their Black Friday shopping.
You know, most people got their Black Friday shopping then on Thursday.
I don't know, did they take their turkey dinners to go?
Or did they just skip out on the turkey dinner?
Now some people are wondering, they're like, you know, are you guys, are you missing out on Thanksgiving, Millie, because you're out here covering this?
And the answer is no.
I'm with my family.
I've got...
The little guy up here in Gavin.
So he seems to be having a good time.
But I just want to show you guys.
This is crazy.
What happened?
What's happen?
Starbucks has a line I mean this is crazy guys I was kind of debating last night.
I know I went outside of Walmart because there was a lot of people in the parking lot and there was a frenzy on Thanksgiving, even at Target, at the mall here.
And I was debating coming out and covering it and going inside the mall on Thursday.
But then I'm like, but wait a second, that's not Black Friday.
And now...
It's Black Friday and nobody's out.
I mean, can't say nobody, but not many.
I'm gonna see if I can ask somebody who works here.
To tell us about what happened yesterday evening here at the mall.
crazy so once again this is Millie Weaver reporting to you for Infowars.com and I'm here at the Barton Creek Mall in Austin, Texas, which just opened for Black Friday.
And, I mean, look, there's someone running here, but, you know, other than that, there's really not much of a frenzy going on here.
But what I will say is that there was a bit of a large crowd of people here last night.
And Drudge Report is reporting that $20 billion...
Was spent yesterday on Thanksgiving.
So, essentially, you know, the headline read something like, Black Friday sales, $20 billion on Thanksgiving.
Well, that's not really Black Friday.
That is Black Thursday.
Well, as you can see, there's not really too much going on here.
We are going to go head back over to Best Buy, because Best Buy apparently opens their doors on Black Friday, which they were open last night, and there were a lot of people there.
They opened their doors this morning at 8am, and we've already seen somewhat of a line forming.
So we might just head back over to Best Buy.
And see what we can find.
see if we can talk to some of these people here that are willing to stand out in the cold just to get a deal.
Do you know what she said?
No, what's the matter?
Worth nói Was biker Can you fire Bean
This is the way out So, we're gonna see if we can talk to some people.
I'm not seeing many people around, though, honestly.
I mean, the malls just opened up.
You would think that there's gonna be a huge frenzy here.
for Black Friday and There's no frenzy here because apparently the frenzy happened early on Thursday Crazy I'm sorry guys, my mind is just blown.
Mind blown.
Who would have thought Black Friday is no longer on Friday morning?
Hi, ma'am.
Were you here yesterday?
No?
It's like some of the- *Sigh*
Well there you have it folks.
This is Millie Weaver reporting to you.
I am just, how is this mind-blowing?
Well, it's mind-blowing to me.
Alright, sorry about that.
Somebody asked me, why is this mind-blowing?
And what I will say is, what's mind-blowing to me isn't so much that people aren't here, you know, in the numbers that you would think for Black Friday.
Well, why are they not here?
Well, because Black Friday happened on Thursday, Thanksgiving, when it's supposed to be a holiday.
It's supposed to be people, families, coming together, having a nice dinner with their friends and their neighbors and their family, focusing on being thankful for what they have.
Now, because of consumerism, it's a holiday about Focusing on what you don't have and what you need.
It's a holiday exactly the opposite of what Thanksgiving was.
And so my mind is blown by the fact that the big corporations and big businesses have essentially usurped a traditional holiday that was supposed to be about Exactly what this, you know, it's the exact opposite of what this is about.
Okay?
So my mind is blown by the fact that Black Friday is no longer on Friday morning, as you can see.
Okay?
A couple cars.
Not really.
Black Friday is now on Thursday.
And even the Drudge Report is reporting $20 billion in sales.
Yesterday, okay?
And I saw it.
I went and drove around.
I wasn't sure if it was it.
I went and did a stand-up last night outside of Walmart because I was just in awe of how many people were actually out on Thanksgiving and said in the past you would see all of these businesses closed because people would want to be spending time at home with their family.
You wouldn't force your, you know, employees to necessarily work on Thanksgiving.
So businesses was...
Businesses would close down and so that people could be home with their families.
Now it's just Black Friday has spilled over into Thanksgiving and now there's no more Black Friday.
It's just Thursday.
They should call it Black Thursday instead of Thanksgiving now.
And like I said guys, I'm out here because I want to be out here.
I'm out here because I want to show you guys the truth.
To show you what's happening in this country right now.
I'm not missing out on any time with my family.
They're along for the ride with me.
So, I just want to say I hope you guys all had a happy Thanksgiving.
And I hope you guys try to avoid the Black Friday frenzy and chaos out that we may find today.
But the majority of it seems to have happened yesterday during Thanksgiving.
But also know that We at InfoWars, we have online Black Friday sales up on the website right now that you guys should go ahead and take advantage of and do it online rather than having to go out and deal with any potential crowds that you might find or even just having to leave the comfort of your home.
So, I just want to let you guys know we have gift cards.
We have all kinds of awesome Black Friday specials.
We have Infowars dollars.
So go ahead, check out our website, Infowarsstore.com, to capitalize on those awesome Black Friday specials and deals.
Look, I'm not docking.
I'm not putting down Black Friday.
You know, a lot of people want to go out.
They have fun with their families.
They get good deals.
But what I am criticizing is the frenzy that's created.
by the companies when they put out these advertisements and we've done research, not necessarily are you going to actually find the best Black Friday sales and deals at these big malls and at these big corporate stores.
In actuality you can actually find better deals online.
And that's why I'm saying go check out Infowarsstore.com because you will find some really good deals on there.
But overall, in general, you will find typically better deals online than you will find at these stores during Black Friday.
So I'm not talking Black Friday.
I'm talking the fact that Black Friday has usurped Thanksgiving, which is supposed to be about being thankful for what you have, not focusing on what you don't have and what you need to buy.
Alright guys, so we're gonna head over to Blockbuster.
Check out the line that's been forming there and we will be signing back on and updating you.
